Uncertain of the time they had, her ears twitched as she listened to the shifting of rubble outside of their current prison. Turning her eyes to the fox boy and his light, she would frown in concern."Not good,"she thought, before looking around them for something, quick."How's your aura holding up,"Ylva asked him as she moved around carefully. Feeling with her free hand, she would try to find a few good-sized stones before maneuvering as best she could towards Rin's trapped arm."This might hurt, but I want you to move quickly as you can once able,"Ylva tried to speak in a calm but controlled tone.
“My aura is holding for now but I’m not sure for how much longer it can last. There is a lot of pressure." He would nod at the request, looking a bit nervous.
Ylva bit her lip as his voice told her this was more urgent than first assessed, but she would be damned if she allowed that to make her hesitate any longer. Nodding once, she would proceed with her plan to help free his arm."Alright, first stone,"she thought as she set the stone with a small dipped center close to the small gap his arm had made, measuring it to be just right and sliding it in between the cart and ground and gritting her teeth from having to push it, getting a groan from the metal before silent. It would take half a minute but it was stuck now."First stone in,"Ylva sighed then looked to Rin."You'll be alright,"Her eyes said before going back to look for a slightly flatter stone to wedge on top of the first stone, it needed to be flat and long to use as a lever."Got it. How are you holding up, Rin,"Ylva whispered before turning back. The task at least kept her from freaking out, but once this was done...Who knew how much longer her calm would last.
“I’m holding up as best as can be expected. Please tell me this is gonna work.” Rin said, before groaning, holding still.
Nodding, Ylva thought about it then..."The dust!" Mentally smacking her forehead for forgetting in their dazed confusion, she would look through her backpack (once found and dug through it in haste, about two and a half minutes have passed now."Earth dust,"Ylva said with a smile."Here's hoping,"She prayed to the ancestors this would help. As she held the small dark orange crystal."Close your eyes and when you feel you can, pull your arm back as fast as you can."When it was confirmed by Rin, she would waste no more time wedging the dust between the cart and the ground; activated, she would push the growing stone away from where she put the first two so as not to trap them both. Tossing a stone at the dust would activate to form a 1ft x 1ft x 1ft wedge between ground and cart. While the stone formed, Ylva let go of the stone to pull Rin closer to the center of the turned car by Ylva; not wanting any more catching on edges...
Rin would offer a silent prayer and nod in understanding, doing as Ylva instructed...

Sasselia Argenia Huntress/ Human/ Team SPYS
The caverns had a charm, and a guide that was leading with the charisma of a peacock. How this man wasn't part hyena with all the joy and laughter, one would never know. For all the potential tragedy of harm towards the two fellow comrades, Sasselia was in a different state of mind among the thrawl of it all. Their guide was speaking ideas and thoughts to them with touring and reassurance to help on the way for the cave in, and Xanthe had the correct factations on them needing to remain to help. Sasselia would have normally been backing that up, all worries and added factors thrown right in towards potential first-aid needed. The way her mind was working at that moment however, peas and deep breaths were both an impossible feat to properly accomplish. "I am p-perfectly alright~! The dust in the air from the rocks may have been a bit hazardous, but this i-is the lightest I have felt in a long while!! So much bubbliness!! That was certainly some magic rock!!!" If only the truth could easily be said as to what was actually happening to the young huntress to be. Had she been a reflection or a spectral form watching this unfold, she would have temptations to be smacking herself out of this strange trance she was being under. Such conflictions could only remain a mystery, until the reasons could be found. For now, the present issues were before them, and watching her team leader attempting to convince the man to take them back to the team, Sass was just trying the breaths out, all while giggling more softer inbetween each deep breath. Those weren't working all too well, but the notion of her leaders caring inflated the irregular bubbliness that was already in her system. The lacl of control had to be the most apparent notice of difference at this point, especially with the more childish side she was behaving with while listening to Peabody speaking. Something about his nonchalant positivity about everything was pretty much a feeling of listening to god himself at rhis point uncontrollably for the young woman. Sass couldn't help but listen to every bit of info thrown their way. "So odd how the alarm didn't set off warning for that!!! If it doesn't happen often, do you think someone may have turned that alarm.off inte tionally?? Trying to bring some extra flavor to our tour!?"
Before she could ask more questions about the possible reasons behind the cave in, her unusual eager eyes were latching onto the favt there were haunted routes down in the caves too. Deafened at that point to the wise words of Xanthe about the team, her hands gripped the cart in anticipation. " The haunted tunnels sound interesting! M-may we collect sething as a souvenir down there too!? E-even around the hydrophonics!? Anything to lessen the worry about our teammates I do not wish to risk their lives with my l-lack of experience with rock movement.... Xanthe has a point too though! Thay conviction to our c-comrades makes you great. I dooooo wish for the haunted tunnels too though... I want to see if there is another potential route tooooo."
Success!!! While the sound would be very unpleasant to the two Faunus, Ylva had cleverly freed Rin before his aura ran out. Everything around them shook as the sudden upward force of the Earth dust thrusted the edge of the mine cart and the stones on top of it upward. The sound reverberated in their metal shelter or cage depending on how you looked at it, as the rocks above moved. But finally, there would be silence once more and the pair would find themselves relatively safe. ~~~~
Sass & Xanthe
"No one would hurt someone intentionally!" Pillbody answered with complete confidence. "We don't have those types in Morose. It was certainly a good bit of excitement though." He winked at Sass. "Your friend here is right. We'd just be in the way." Pillbody said, agreeing with Sass. "Make things worse we would. What if we moved the wrong thing and caused a rock slide and make it take even longer to clear the mess!" Taking longer seemed like an odd choice for bad outcomes when there was a real possibility the rest of their team was trapped and could die if the rocks shifted. But then Pillbody always seemed to avoid mentioning truly bad things. "Best just let the experts deal with it, they'll have your friends out in no time, and then we can all get together again. Until then, let's have a bit of fun and get your friends some souvenirs!"
After a few twists and turns, the carts stopped in front of a boarded-up tunnel entrance, with a handy door. Red paint simply marked it as closed. "Officially this shaft ran out of dust, but the Faunus claims there is still plenty down there...for those willing to go get it!" He wiggled his fingers spookily before getting out of his cart and heading towards the wooded door. "No one was willing to work here anymore, so they closed it down seven years ago, or so the ledged goes." He pulled the door open and gestured them inside. "Started with little things, flickering lights. Well, that's not that strange. Then they started seeing things moving out of the corner of their eye. Tools would move when they weren't looking. Of course, at first, they thought someone was playing a prank. Until the ghost murdered one of them!"
~~~~~
Danae & Narx
"As you wish, just make sure to keep out of the way." The woman gestured for Danae to follow her off to the side while a giant spider-looking robot moved towards the pile of boulders. It had four thick legs on which it walked and its "head" appeared to be a crane with thick claws. "Spider Crane GX47." She explained as it planted itself in front of the mess. A red laser passed over the pile for a few seconds before the "head" extended out and gripped onto a boulder on top. It lifted it, then set the boulder on the ground near the wall and scanned the pile once more. "The scan lets to know which ones to move without causing a collapse." The woman explained, then she held up her tablet for Danae to see. In the blue wireframe, she could see all the different hunks of rock of various sizes and shapes. In red were 3 humanoid forms among the rocks, though they couldn't be identified in any way from the scan. In green at the bottom was the overturned mine cart underneath it all.
Just as the crane was setting down the fourth piece of rock the pile or rubble suddenly heaved upward. Bigger pieces slid or rolled, while smaller ones went flying, showering the crane bot, Danae and the woman who had never introduced herself with rubble. If Danae didn't react quickly to the shower of rocks it was likely both of them would get injured.
Narx continued to laugh hysterically, tears running down his face as he wheezed for air, while the robots herded him towards the cart. Even the people around him seemed concerned, their grins faltering as they shared looks. They managed to get him loaded up along with some miners and once the cart was full, it started the trip back to the entrance, and the Atlesian Knights started guiding people into the next one. Once the sound of his laughter faded pleasant expressions resumed as those not part of the rescue team patiently waited to be removed from the area.
Xanthe Shaw
Xanthe looked at Sass with concern when she said she was fine. "Are you sure? Because you don't sound alright. You sound like a maniac." She had never really been one for beating around the bush. Sass had never really struck her as someone who would be so nonchalant about... Well anything, but specifically their friends being in an accident. Pillbody's supposition that no one would hurt someone intentionally was a little pre-emptive considering she was weighing the pros and cons of giving him a slap if he denied her request to go help the rescue. On one hand, he might have listened, but on the other, he probably wouldn't even notice, it was beginning to feel like she was on this tour with him regardless of what she wanted. "Don't encourage him!" she exclaimed at Sass who had seconded the trip to the haunted mine. It was one thing dealing with Pillbody, but now Sass was acting like him. "Can you at least contact the rescue team for an update if your going to ignore my request to go help?" She shouted in an attempted to be heard.
The minecart stopped besides the boarded up entrance to the mine and Xanthe had to wonder why they though wood would stop ghosts. There didn't even seem to be any runes carved into the door or a shrine outside to appease the sprits within. Real amateur operation they were running here. She had opted into trying to appease Pillbody in the hopes that he'd then do what she wanted. If films had taught her anything, it was that this was not going to work and it would be easier and faster to just walk around blindly in the hopes of finding the way back. "Did you not send the robots down to look?" She wasn't really sure what those robots could do, but looking if there was dust in a mine seemed reasonable. "No candles? Or wards?" She had followed him to the entrance to the mine. Inside the mine looked no more mystic than the outside. "Really? And how did it do that then?" She looked into the dark of the mine of a moment, then lost interest. Ghosts were real obviously, but not her forte. If she was in charge there would have been a manned shrine at the entrance and an expert on hand if they decided to expand. She clapped her hands. "Sass you got your souvenir? Grab and extra one for Ylva and lets get this show on the road. Onwards to medical, surely they've been rescued by now."
Rin would await the signal of Ylva for when to pull his arm, knowing his aura could not last forever under the pressure and weight of the cave-in above. He would take a few steadying breaths as his heart was racing and nerves on end; even with her having a plan to free his arm who knows if something would go wrong. He liked having the hand, and did not want to lose it anytime soon...or ever for that matter. He had barely started life outside his tribe and now the first mission he was ever part of was threatening to leave him one handed for snow's sake! 'I must remain calm. Panic won't help. I'll lose my arm for sure if we don't try this, so no point worrying until it either works or fails. Please work,' he silently calmed himself and prayed. Nodding to Ylva that he was ready when prompted, Rin would wait for the right moment and pull his arm out as fast as was possible; inhumanely possible in his mind as it almost felt like it teleported out from under the rim. Cowering as everything shook, reverberated, and almost sounded like the rocks would break past the cart to them...the earth would settle, and they seemed safe. It would take Rin a moment for adrenaline and fear to subside before it fully sunk in that he was no longer pinned and in danger of losing an arm. He was also only now aware Ylva had pulled him closer to her to help as well, having been so singly-minded in his own effort to get his arm out. "I'm...free? I'm free! It worked!" he would cheer loudly, going to hug Ylva out of sheer joy before pulling away shortly after as he was not sure if she was fine with it. Blushing slightly in embarrassment, he would speak. "Thank you for the help," he would almost whisper, pride slightly steeping in that he could not do it on his own. Adjusting himself in the cramped space to try to be able to at least sit up now he would look around. "I don't suppose you have cards or something to pass the time till we get out of here? Wait! Do you think we could contact the others from the scrolls? I know we are in a tunnel but maybe if we are lucky...wait...are they okay or did they get caught in this too...?" Rin would first begin to joke before the reality of things settled in more along with the possibilities that he just began to voice his growing concerns. He had been so worried about himself he wasn't thinking about the rest of their group. He was too scared to find out no to any of the answers so he was refraining from trying with his scroll.
The wolf girl was focused on her task; not wanting to fail in helping the fox boy trapped with her."His fear is visible,"she thought, though it's what mostly kept her calm. All the while, adrenaline was pumping in her ears from anticipation and the need for this to go well..."Grrr,"Ylva growled, though it would go unheard as rocks banged and shifted above while the stone formed."Oww,"her ears laid flat against her head did nothing to dull the sounds and ringing around them.
Now disoriented, from the cacophony, Ylva was not quite aware that she still held onto the now freed and excited fox until he pulled away. Blushing softly, she would let him go as well. The noise lessened outside as stone and metal settled, she would focus once more and look to her companion as he was saying he was free."Welcome,"Ylva replied, relaxing back against metal while making room for each other. Relief was visible on her face, even if she didn't say it outright. Holding her scroll up, its light was quite dim, though it was enough for the two Faunus to see by."What are they doing out there,"she wondered as she looked up at the cart and back to Rin."I can see..."Ylva replied and turned, the tip of her tail accidentally bumping Rin in her attempt to turn around and search her bag; a welcome distraction to the claustrophobic situation...At least until Rin mentioned the others."Damn."Turning back, she sat down and shook her head and frowned, concerned herself."I do not know either,"Ylva replied, her ears poking up and twitched. Closing her eyes, she would seem to be trying to listen. She prayed her teammates were alright as well as the rest.
A maniac? Was she actually acting like one?? So strange. However, such a blunt and honest remark should have been enough to get a more genuine, more Sasselia-like response. Unfortunately, all Xanthe had been received with had been the opposite of what was normally her course of actions. Rather than apologizing profusely, the woman had giggle the commetn away, as if it were no big deal. Sadly there was no way the woman could actually explain herself in the slightest for that matter, as she had no recollection or reasoning as to her more brasher, and counterproductive words and actions. For all it was worth for the moment, watching Xanthe being so insistant on a rescue team to save their team was something even she couldn't ignore in her current state of mind. "I agree! That way we have more common calmness to rely on! Wouldn't be able to sleep at night with no plans or corners being covered~!" Squinting her eyes then, the adjustment to the darkness of the the caverns were a natural adaptation, one that Sass could manage. For the most part, she could manage to adapt to everything, though the only exception was the socializing with her team leader, and that was another cause all together, since there was no proper explanation towards the whole change of personality. None whatsoever. There was of little to no surprise she had been ibrushed off pretty much, the haunted section seeming to be more of a true interest, over the concerns of life. Sasselia truly wasn't any helping on that, but the way things were going, she wasn't having the sence to truly control her normally pented up excitement. That much was clear upon watching Pillbody, his wink making her giggle even more in glee, as the wishes were being granted. "Hooray!"
Such good points they had! Souvenirs were the best! Happiness was an artform of medicine on its own, and any distractions were probably appreciated. In fact, her own happiness was showing that anoology a little too well, her cravings of knowledge messing around with her already messy personality concurring. Upon reaching the boarded up tunnel entrance, that much was showing through like a beacon, as the moment they were all getting out of the carts, she was lightly skipping in her steps at the rear, humming in her head a tune to the beat her feet were coercing along with. Her attention had shifted to Xanth inbetween the information recieved to them both, the questions she asked full of good points. "I-I am rather surprised neither items are able to really be seen by here. Or the robots about!" Were the stories true about the ghosts? Runes, as Xanthe mentioned, were surely to be needed on this. The idea of ghosts in her current state however, held no problems or worries. She was just excited to be there! "I would definitely love to try getting some! It-it isn't everyday one can get an item deep from an Atlesian cavern, let alone a potential haunted one!"
Walking forward into the new cavern route for them, the built up of dust scattering from the open door made the poor girl cough. None of it stopped her from wanting to explore a little farther, listening intently to the man as he continued on speaking about the sort of hauntings they had reported in. Up until the point of a murder, she was calmer, but upon that ending punchline, Xanthe had asked the question she had been thinking, all while inspecting the nearest wall part with slightly more nervous anticipation built. Whether it was from wanting the details of the murder, the souvenir gathering, the coldness of the cavern, or all of the above... None of it held the girl back from looking around regardless. The darkness itself made it harder to see, so it reduced her to having to feel around for everything, risking on dirtying her clothes for any findings. As farther in as she could feel herself go safetly, the young woman was still grapsing around for anything of interest. Upon hearing Xanthe near the entrance, her head turned their way, calling back and relying on the echoes to reach them a little better. "Sorry! Almost done, it's a little hard to see!" Taking out her scroll then, she had focused the phone around for anything of interest.
As time ticked on, the sounds of machinery and moving rocks would become closer and louder. Eventually, they would start seeing light from the outside along the gap Ylva had made. Shortly after the mine cart was lifted straight into the air by the crane-spider bot uncovering the pair. It hung in the air threateningly for a moment before the bot retracted its head and moved the cart off to the side. A cheer went around the rescue team when it was realized two had survived, and while they came forward, much like with Danea, it didn't seem particularly urgent. The medics asked the usual questions of "If they were injured, does it hurt anywhere, did they remember their names, where they are from etc." all while flashing bright lights in their eyes to check their eye responses.
There was no sign of Narx, Xanthe or Sass. Danae was laying in the medical tent. 3 body bags lay near the tent. ~~~~
Sass & Xanthe
"Candles? To prove there are ghosts by having them blow them out?" Pillbody asked. "What are wards? Are they something you do in Vale to deal with ghosts?" Clearly, he was unfamiliar with the practice. Then again it was sort of strange for the people of Atlas to be spreading ghost stories. However, Morose seemed strange in general.
"Whoa, slow down there miss. I know you're anxious about your friends, but we got our best people on it!" Pillbody told her cheerfully. He opened up his scroll and tapped around for a few seconds. "Not much of an update I'm afraid. Equipment's there and they've started moving rocks. A medical station has been set up, but they haven't pulled anyone out of the rubble yet. Do you see? You just gotta be patient. Let yourself enjoy Morose and take your mind off of that terrible business. Sasselia's got the right idea!" He smiled as he gestured to the blue-haired woman. "The knight bots we sent never came back." He said with a hushed tone he seemed to think was spooky. "Once they got deep enough into the cave their video feed would cut out and we would lose all contact with the bots."
As Sass looked around with the light from her scroll she could see scratches hidden behind an outcropping of rocks. They looked like the letters S and T. (DM me if she goes to investigate.)
~~~~~
Danae & Narx
The rocks struck Danae, who did not react in time, as well as the engineer with her. One left a nasty gash on her forehead, while the others battered and bruised her body. Once the dust settled the medical team came forward to help, though in an oddly relaxed and calm manner. "Right nasty bump you got there." One of them would comment. After briefly checking them out, they would bring the pair over to the medical tent for attention.
Hmm... How strange. They had never heard of wards or the testing of candles for ghosts? The second one was an understandable suspecting commented choice. Such a thing could be easily confused with the odd cavern stirrings, or points and cracks of air, from who knew where. As for the wards themselves, it was peculiar how they knew nothing on that... Then again, given they were in the middle of snowy nowhere, hidden among nothing but cold rock and cold weather.... Knowing nothing about wards had to be expected... Somehow it wasn't though, since Morose was an odd place, and knowing such information should have add some more quirkiness added into it all. Odd. Sasselia wasn't truly thinking too deeply into that concept at all. For her, it was just a fun moment to bring something potentially interesting up. Surprisingly, giving some tidbit information was a normal Sasselia thing. The way it explained however, was the tone of someone who somebody easily compared to a first-grade teacher speaking to a child. The sheer peppiness alone was just another red flag. "Oh!! Something like that. Using salt as a conduit, and burning sage to cleanse the air is a very good starter!! There can also be charms " Tapping just under her chin with a wondering look on her face, she had only known the basic information. Her eidetic mind could remember everything. There was also many practitions she could have recited to the man from what was taught and read during study, but the interruption of Pillbody cheerfully chastising Xanthe snapped her from her thoughts.
One could say the thoughts had dispersed in an image of a thought bubble popping. The surprise on her face alone had been clear enough to see, the shine in her already beaming eyes of joy lulling a little from the thought disruptions. None of it however had paused her from going haywire happy again. "Yay for updates!!!!" All while this discussion was happening between Xanthe and the man, Sasselia was already wanting to skip herself ahead, the state of curiosity picking itself up to his words on the knight bots. The videos cut off!? No return?? Stranger and stranger.....
The high senses of danger spoke itself thriugh the stories and the extra mysteries being foretold. Adding a campfire and some marshmallows to cook would have made this a whole campfire story for the ages... If they weren't in the caves. Oddly enough, hearing this made her excidely tread in the shaft more, turning the brightness up on her scroll. Upon the shift of light, amd scanning down along the walls and the ground, her light had brought forth scratch marks. Something about the scratches looked off, which lit up her investigational heart, closing herself in distance to them. "How strange~..."
Tracing her fingers along the scratches, S and T were more noticed upon the inspection. She at first believed that to be the only stuff along the wall... How wrong she was. Upon raising the phone around more, the S and the T were actually part of a full message.
"No... Ghosts... Morose secret... At the ..."
The outcropping of the words formed themselvs better upon back from the wall, reading out the full message under her breath. "A secret!?!? Upon reading "End" at the last of the message, her light began to flicker. "Oh!!!!" Gasping softly, her influenced gasp was less effective, driven more to a need of discovery. Before she could call out to the other two about her light, a qhostly howl could be heard, overtaking the silence for her. Turning her flickering light around in her hand, the young huntress to be scanned around, trying to find the source of the sound. Smiling as bright as her light had been earlier to it all, she had gripped the centerpart of her glaive, her skin tingling and beckoning to know the source.

Xanthe Shaw
Xanthe reached down and picked up her own unique piece of the haunted mineshaft, although she thought as she tossed it over in her hands everywhere is haunted because ghost's a pretty much unstoppable. She pocketed it anyway. What Sass was doing on the fringes of the dark was beyond her perception so she instead turned to look at Pillbody who seemed to have had a bad reaction to her mysticism advice. It was strange, not that he didn't believe in trying to prevent the ghosts in escaping while claiming they exist, a lot of people believed in nonsense. What she found strange is that everything he did annoyed her, she had considered herself a patient person before today but there was something about the mannerisms of Pillbody that made her want to ram his face through a brick wall. She took a deep breath while looking at the grain of wood on the door to the entrance, despite having been painted it was still clearly visible. "Yes." She answered all of his questions in the only way possible that didn't result in her thumbs in his eyes. Him telling her to slow down made her eye twitch, but aside from that it was good to know that someone was on the case at the accident site. She went back to examining the woodwork while she waited for Sass to join them by the minecart.
"Can we go? Please." She shouted over Pillbody having written him off as dead weight in her eyes. There was an edge to her voice that indicated that stress was getting to her, but it could have also been her attempts to remain civil with Pillbody manifesting. Sass turned up the light on her scroll and Xanthe knew right then that unless she dragged the pair of them back to the dig site personally then there was no way they were going to leave. She stormed past Pillbody, hand raised to stop him talking. Sass would be tasked with dealing with him from now on, they seemed to be on the same level at the moment and Xanthe wanted no part of it. She had crossed almost three quarters of the the distance when she heard Sass say something about a secret which was followed by a horrendous scream. Xanthe jogged the remainder of the distance, shrugging her spear off her packs as she slid to a stop next to Sass. "Turn that off and move back to the entrance. It's making it hard to see properly." She could see in the dark, but not when there was a strobe light going off in her face. "Did you see anything?" Her eyes scanned the passage as they grew accustomed to the dark.
xx2 Large red crystals, 4 vials of red dust, 2 large blue crystals, 4 vials of blue dust, 1 large black dust, 4 vials of black dust, 1 large purple crystal, 4 vials of purple dust. each one with insulated tents for the cold, rations kits (10), kerosene lamps and thermopacks(10) Danae takes double damage from Bludgeoning xxInactive
Danaë was too busy with the excavation that she wasn't paying attention as much as she should have been. Well, with Narx also being dragged off. Rocks crashed into her, harming her. Her head was bleeding, and she felt woozy from it. She tried to stay standing, but the world was swimming in her vision. "I've had worse injuries." That would be the last thing she said, before waking up in the medical tent.
She would see Rin and Ylva, and wave. Her head was pounding. She's had a rock fall on her face, blinding her right side. Oh no, she didn't know what she needed to take care of the eye. She would then close her eyes again.
His rescuer would give him a simple welcome, and he could see on her face that she was almost as relieved as he was. She would continue to use her scroll as a light for them; dim as it was it was enough to make them be able to see each other in the cramped space at least. As they both were adjusting, Rin to sit comfortably and Ylva to search her pack, he would feel her tail brush against him. He would stiffen and freeze for a moment at the unexpected sensation but relax shortly after. It did not feel as nice as the fur of an arctic fox, but it wasn't bad either. Focusing his mind, he would ask his flurry of questions but sadly Ylva had no clue either on everyone else. He would try to say something inspiring, but he was only just getting to know the others. He couldn't quite say, heroically, that they would for sure come for them given his limited experience. He really hoped they would at least; he did not want to die buried alive. 'If I survive this I will have quite the tale to tell to the tribe. That should get a few of them jealous maybe...Of course I need to embellish it a little when I mention it to Kuro,' Rin thought to himself, trying to focus on some good within the bad of everything and prevent himself from panicking. With not much else to do but sit and wait, as well as being unsure on how long air would be around in their prison, he would remain silent and wait to conserve energy. Seeing as there wasn't much to see either, he would lean against the wall of the cart and close his eyes for the time being. Eyes closed, Rin found sleep elusive as the sounds of machinery and moving stone could be heard. Smiling slightly, eyes still closed, he would speak to Ylva. "Seems help is on the way, we just have to sit tight," he would say happily and relax. It was out of his hands, but as time passed and the sounds grew closer he was feeling optimistic on their survival. Soon enough, though, it was too loud to really keep his eyes closed and relax. He wished he had ear plugs or something, as the sound was not pleasant so close. Looking around, and covering his ears, he would note that he could finally see light other than a scroll in the cart from the gap Ylva had made. All of a sudden, to Rin, the cart would be lifted into the air as he fell onto his back in surprise; having been leaning heavily on it for support. Looking up, he could see the cart held above them by some weird machine that looked a bit like a spider. A cheer would sound off then, as Rin's eyes would swivel to see others, and quickly roll to right himself to avoid any further embarrassment. Brushing himself off as he rose to his feet, he would look to Ylva to see if she was alright before the crowd came leisurely to them.
The medics would be the forefront for interaction, showering them in questions and flashing an annoyingly bright light in their eyes. Rin would do his best to block the light from getting to his eye, insisting he was fine and annoyedly answering their questions. He didn't get why they were asking for personal details; injury and pain made sense but not the others. 'Annoying,' was all he thought. He just wanted a cold drink of water after that along with peace and privacy. They were not going to get it yet, however, as they were led to what he assumed was the emergency medical tent for survivors. As they neared it, Rin would recognize Danae laying there and three body bags; but no one else. Fear and doubt came to Rin's mind as he saw it; wondering if the rest of their group were the ones in the bag. Danae would wave to them from where she was as they got near, but seemed to be in pain and wounded as she would close her eyes shortly after. Looking to the medic, Rin would ask the question that was plaguing his mind. "Did the rest of our group make it...or...are they...?" He would ask in a low voice, not able to say the final words but pointing with his hand to the body bags. He really hoped the others were alright, but with a badly injured Danae on the table his mind was going to the worst conclusion. He would have asked Danae how she was, but given how she was right now he figured the less she did or said the better for her own health.

Despite the dimness of the scroll light, it was enough for Ylva to see her surroundings and current companion. Despite hers and Rin's worries, she would have faith that the others in the group would be at least alive still; after all, it seemed their cart was the one that got hit the worst if she remembered right. Pushing those thoughts aside, she had tried distraction with something to find...but found nothing so she opted to close her eyes and listen to the outside as best she could. Her ears twitched silently as she did so."The metal blocks out most voices,"she thought, annoyed by the modern-like sounds.
At Rin's comment, the wolf opened her eyes slowly before closing them once again."So it seems,"Ylva agreed before wincing and laying her ears back against her head from the cacophony of metal-on-metal."Damn modern demons,"The wolf cursed internally before opening her eyes to bright lights and too many voices, covering her mouth and nose from the dirt and debris kicked up. "GRR-Space!"Ylva snapped/growled harshly, teeth bared as it was becoming too much; she had almost swiped at one of the people checking on them with her clawlike nails. Ignoring them, as her eyes adjusted, pushing any away that had got in her way, she would search for and grab Ulv Lofte and backpack before following after Rin to the "med tent" in silence; if allowed.
Answering one question at least: that she was fine if a bit lightheaded and that her name was none of their business, abyssal-black eyes looked around for familiar faces...Running to the bags of bodies if not stopped, she would unzip each one to only see the face before zipping it and moving on to the other. If she was stopped, she'd only ask if any were of their group before going in the tent."Where are Blue and Shark?"She pondered with worry, ears twitching/listening for any sign of her companions before seeing Owl on a bed inside."None of ours,"She would say shortly to Rin's question but was looking to the injured Faunus without her stupid mate. When her eyes met Danae's wave, she bowed her head in greeting, her expression calm if a bit serious as usual before being forced to probably sit down on one of the cots...
