Approved by Em ^.^Link to Ye Old Approval GENERALName: Francis Neal Caffrey Gender: Male Birthday:October 4th House: Gryffindor Blood Status: Mixed Blood Wand: Hawthorn, 10 ½ inches, Phoenix feather core Wand Hand: Right PERSONALITYGeneral: Francis is a very highly imaginative kid, he tends to come up with tall tales and share them with other kids. He can have the tendency to hype up other kids or scare them with how elaborative and descriptive his stories are. He often regrets it later when the kids are freaking out and has to explain that he's just been having fun with them.
Francis has learned to be super secretive because of his two older sisters who like to pry into what he does. He finds them mildly irritating at times and often wishes they'd leave him alone.
He is one of those complex people, he can be social and antisocial at different times. It kind of gives him a sort of random and erratic tendency to the kids around him who don't know what to make of it. He will often try to let people know when he's having anxiety so they don't overwhelm him too much.
He is kind of picky with who he chooses to open up with, which makes some people find him mysterious. Those he shares more of himself with find him charming and friendly, and very generous. He's also very resourceful and will help his friends find ways of figuring out problems when they need help with things.
He tends to remember everything he’s read, mostly because he has to read things three times. He’s got OCPD and has to organize things all the time. He often tunes other people out when he’s concentrating. He likes to look in on groups of people and study them; imagining himself as part of the group but he’s more the type to hang out with two people at a time. Large groups tend to bring out his anxiety more.
He is very protective of his younger sister and his close friends. If they are getting shoved around or bullied in some way he'd stand up and confront the people doing it. He's not much of a fighter, but will often try to reason logically with the people who are picking on his friends. Often times he's found while he doesn't convince them he can distract them long enough for his friends to get away.
Habits: He has the tendency to repeat actions three times every day. He’s a bit finicky about his clothes if they aren’t straight or have wrinkles he gets really upset and has to change. He reads and rereads things over and over, and does the same with writing. It’s a habit that actually helps him remember things. Will talk to himself and make up stories out loud..which can cause people to stare at him.
Hobbies: Storytelling, hanging out with friends, People watching, sketching animals and people; writing stories, playing chess or other board games, reading. Likes: Damp cool days, winter, Fall, learning, curling up with a good book, organizing, fantasy, fish. Dislikes: Anything that brings up his allergies: blooming flowers, grass, dust, pollen, cat and dog fur, nuts, etc. Sports..they make his asthma really bad, and speaking in front of large groups.FAMILYMother: Farrah (Lindt) Caffrey, Ravenclaw, 39, Witch/Teacher. Father: Frederic Fitzpatrick Caffrey, Gryffindor,40 Wizard/Auditor Siblings: Frieda Joy Caffrey, Ravenclaw, 15. Frayda Hope Caffrey, Ravenclaw, 15. Fiona Love Caffrey, 9.
Extended Family: Great Aunt Francine Caffrey, Slytherin, 68, Witch Uncle Jameson Baer, Slytherin, 32 Aunt Elaina (Lindt) Baer, Ravenclaw, 32 Jonas Ashton Baer, Ravenclaw, 15 Francisca Amarilys Baer, Gryffindor, 11
Relationship with Family:Francis had a delightful childhood, he had the run of the house and everyone wrapped around his little finger before he could walk. He was a precocious and charming child and has never really changed from that. he and his mother Fayette were practically inseparable. He was highly imaginative and a silly kid, much to the delight of all. He loved it the most when his mother would enhance his outrageous stories with illusions or bring inanimate items to life around the House. It didn't take him long to catch on and start doing it himself, much to the surprise and delight of his parents. They were careful to teach him to not do it in the public and restrict it to the home. His older twin sisters, Frieda and Frayda loved to spoil him and dote on him. They also loved to play with his long hair and put it up in bows and ribbons as well as dress him up in their old dresses. He was a rather congenial and easy going kid so he never fought it, and would play whatever they wanted to play as long as they'd let him do want he wanted later on. His father Frederic was a much more reserved parent but sill made sure to spend time with him when he got older. He would take the time to patiently teach Francis all about the outdoors and everything in the world around him. Francis loved learning about the outdoors and would take a journal to record everything in multiple sketch books. When Francis had questions about something he would always go first to his father, as he saw him as a fountain of knowledge. Evenings were spent as a family around the fireplace playing guessing games, or sharing stories. Often they would have story competitions, the most elaborate and imaginative would win a special prize. This encouraged Francis to write and create his own stories and to use his imagination. During the Summer when Frederic could get off of work as an auditor for a large lawyer's firm they would go on vacations all over Europe. Most of their vacations consisted of educational stops; as the Caffrey parents believed in always encouraging learning in their kids. HISTORYGeneral History: Born in Essex, London on a rainy dreary day, Francis brought sunshine and happiness to Sarah and Frederic Caffrey. They were very protective of Francis, due to their first son Fingal dying at a young age. Like his deceased brother Francis has asthma and extreme allergies to pollen, nuts and dogs. To prevent any bad experiences with his allergies his parents kept him home where they could keep a close eye on him and taught him up until first grade. Not knowing what school would be like, Francis finally convinced his parents (with his sisters’ help) to let him go to one. They sent him to a private school where the teachers and staff could better handle any problems he might have. He hated every moment he was in the school, though he didn’t say anything for the longest of times. He was bullied terribly and had a rough time of it at the private school with sports being extremely emphasized. He had a few close calls with his asthma, much to his frustration; apparently when he got worked up about how he was treated it would trigger his asthma terribly. Not wanting to be labeled a snitch, he bore it without a word for several years. Finally his twin sisters discovered what was going on one day when they came to pick him up from school and caught three kids picking on him. Without thinking they turned the three boys into toads to teach them a lesson. It was with much trepidation that the three Caffrey kids discovered that the headmaster of Francis’ school was actually a wizard and had seen what had happened. He took the spell off his students and erased the incident from their minds. Francis’ sisters could have been expelled from Hogwarts for using their magic in the Muggle world, but were spared this fate when the Headmaster defended them. While their use of magic was wrong, they were defending their younger brother who was being tormented. The whole ordeal was an eye opener for Francis and his sisters. They have all been careful not to let their tempers get the better of them. Francis has always been exposed to magic and has even been allowed to practice simple spells under his parent’s watchful eyes. After the incident at his school, they pulled him out and started teaching him at home again, much to his relief. He rather liked learning about the magicking world and what was going on in it. He can hardly wait until he can join his sisters at Hogwarts. He’s completely psyched and overjoyed when on his 11th birthday he receives his acceptance letter to Hogwarts. The only drawback is he has to wait for 10 months before he can actually go! It’s the only time he’s regretted having an October birthday. He’s waiting as patiently as he can, and pouring over his sisters’ old magic books to prep himself for his first year at school. MISCELLANEOUSBoggart: Seeing himself during an extremely bad asthma attack that can’t be stopped. Or his youngest sister actually being a squib and getting picked on..like he fears she might be.
Mirror of Erised:If he were to look into the mirror he would see himself as a healthy and adventuring wizard traveling the world and seeking out new and wondrous magical creatures. EXTRA CREDIT[ The Sorting:Francis wrapped his arms around himself and shuddered, the ringing sounds of laughter and chattering voices was too much. Why did there have to be soo many people present during the sorting? Why couldn’t they make it a private deal? It’s not like they needed to see the person get the hat stuck on their head. With how loud the hat yelled they would have still heard it even if the whole thing was done inside a steel vault at Gringotts. Only one more person to go and it would be his turn. Francis was getting a bit apprehensive about what was coming up. He hated when people looked at him, and in a few seconds a sea of faces would be turned his way. He rather hoped that it would go by quickly..and not be as drawn out as the last person’s was. “Caffrey, Francis” Called out the teacher with the list. Francis turned bright red and stumbled up the steps shaking slightly. Gods..why did there have to be so many of them? He turned around so he was facing the crowd and dipped his eyes low so he wouldn’t have to look out on the rancous kids hooting and calling at him. He could almost hear it now. “Francis? That’s a girl’s name!” He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. Didn’t they know that Francis had been a guy’s name long before it was used for a woman? Diwits. They knew next to nothing about names..or what they meant. “Hmm..” Came a voice in his ear, which rather startled him. “Well then where should I place you? You’re something of a mystery.” “Just put me some place I’ll be left alone and not bullied.” Francis replied softly. “Hmm…well now that won’t do. You’re something of a dreamer..and a challenge. I know..Gryffindor would fit you perfectly! Though..you’re not much of a sporting type. Still it would do you some good to be in that House. You have courage and you’re the protective type so it works out rather well.” Francis stood there numb as the Hat yelled out loudly, “Gryffindor!” He was startled to hear cheering from the Gryffindor table as he slowly walked over. They were actually happy to get him? Seriously? Didn’t they know he sucked at games? That he couldn’t even be outside during the spring or summer because of his asthma? Francis completely forgot about all his limitations when he was greeted cheerily by the entire table and thumped on the back enthusiastically by a seat mate. “We got a Caffrey! Yes!” Oh right. He had forgotten that his twin sisters were notorious at Hogwarts. That they excelled at everything. That explained it all. Francis groaned and laid his head down on the table. The darn hat had gotten it completely wrong. Drat. Patronus:He won't be able to do a full blown patronus until he's around 15 or older, His Patronus will be a jack rabbit. Greatest Treasure: His Familiar Horace the Frog. It was given to him by his family on his 11th birthday. Francis stared at the box that was thumping around on the living room floor and then looked up at the expectant faces of his sisters and his parents. He finally reached for it and pulled the brightly papered box into his lap and untied the bright green bow. He slowly slid the lid up to peek inside. For a moment he sat there blinking, not sure what the big eyed creature staring back at him was. Then it hit him. It was a frog! Or was it a toad? He reached in and pulled it out. The smooth soft reptilian skin felt amazing..and he slowly pet the frog across it’s back. The frog ribbited and glanced up at him with strangely intelligent eyes. Francis smiled and laid the frog back in the box. “Thanks Mum and Dad.” He said shooting them a grateful smile. He knew that any type of furred familiar would have caused him to break out in hives..and that wouldn’t have been fun to experience on his birthday so a frog was a nice surprise. “You should thank your sisters as well. They helped us pick him out.” His mother replied with a smile. “Are you going to name him?” Asked his youngest sister Fiona eagerly. Francis glanced over at her. “Of course I am! I just have to think it over for awhile.” Frieda and Frayda his older twin sisters laughed. “Yeah, you know Francis. He’s the thoughtful one, remember?” They asked in unison. “Conscientious is more like it.” He replied, and glanced around at the other packages on the floor in the front room. “Is there an aquarium for him? He can’t live in the box for more than a day at most.” “Well blast, I knew we forgot something!” Manner of Dress:Impeccable and proper attire, as he hates wrinkles his clothes are always perfectly pressed. It’s a skill he learned from his mother while being taught at home. He tends to shine his shoes every night before bed; which the other kids will probably make fun of. Favorite Class:Care of Magical Creatures, mostly because they enthrall him and he loves to learn about animals..even if he can’t really be around them due to his allergies. There are some however that doesn't bother him..much to his surprise. Worst Class:At the moment none, but once he gets to flying he's going to have difficulty with it. Most classes will be a headache for him cause he has to read everything three times over to retain it.

Approved by Em ^^Ye Old Rp Approval GENERALName: Jai Nejem Gender: Male Birthday: May 3rd House: Gryffindor Blood Status: Mixed Blood Wand: Holly, Unicorn hair, 11 inches, swishy Wand Hand: Right PERSONALITYGeneral: Amicable-Jai hates contention and fighting and no matter what always stays cheerful and strives to bring harmony to those around him. He's super friendly and easy going, his smile is always genuine. His gracious and forgiving manner tends to win others over in the end. He doesn't really have a bad bone in his body.
Genuine- Jai is always real and true to himself no matter what people say or how they might judge him. He doesn't really take much stock with other's think. As long as he's happy with himself that's enough.
Eccentric- Jai is odd and that's a nice way of putting it. He has strange ideas that he'll fixate on and babble about at the most inopportune moments. If he notices any sort of insect he'll focus on it and start babbling insect lore to himself. Half the time he forgets if he's alone or not.
Rash- Jai is often impetuous and acts before thinking things through. This has led to him getting into some pretty bad situations, which take him a long time to recover from. He's broken numerous bones, fallen off of roofs, gotten stuck in a chimney and gotten bitten and stung more than he can count.
Habits: Always adding more spices or pepper to food before he's tasted it. Constantly checking his pockets for insects or spiders before sitting down. Looking in corners and along the floor. Hobbies: Collecting wizard cards, Playing the sitar, Eating Chocolate Frogs, Doodling animals and bugs, Collecting and caring for bugs and spiders. Likes: Snakes, Reptiles, Reading, bugs, spiders, magical creatures, Dislikes: Fighting, Drama, People judging him because of his accent,FAMILYMother: Anjari (Arya) Nejem -Half Blood, Witch, Gryffindor Father: Devadas Nejem- Wizard- Muggle Born, Ravenclaw Siblings: Divya Nejem (Abdul)- Witch, Hufflepuff, *betrothed* 16 Harshad Nejem, 8 1/2, Non tested
Extended Family: Quite a lot of aunts, uncles and cousins. His father was the oldest of seven kids, his mother the middle of 5. Both sets of grandparents are still living.
Relationship with Family:Jai has always been the odd one out in his family: his older sister is really close to her mother and his younger brother is the miniature verson of their father. Jai has always felt like he's on the outside looking in on what he wishes he could have. He finds his father frightening because of how assertive and serious he is. His father rarely initiates time with him and that's the only way Jai would spedn time with him. He's too afraid to approach him about anything. His mother is too busy running the household and keeping things running perfectly for her family to give him much attention. Jai tries to engage his mother in conversation but finds his choices often horrify and frighten her. She tends to scare easily and his talk of bugs, spiders and reptiles often cause her to freak out or faint. He was at one time really close to his younger brother. Then his brother's interests turned to music where he showed a lot of natural born talent. Harshad is so focused at becoming the best he can be that he doesn't spend much time on anything else. His older sister is the only one that will seek him out and spend time with him. For some odd reason insects don't bother her nor does his talk of them. If it weren't for her and his animals and insects he wouldn't have any friends. he's rather sad that she'll be done at Hogwarts and married within the next couple of years. He doesn't really look forward to her moving on with her life but he doesn't say anything because she seems so happy. HISTORYDevadas and Anjari first met when they attended Hogwarts as children. Anjari's sleek black cherry hair attracted Devadas' attention for the first time at a Quidditch match between their Houses. On impulse he made his way over to her and asked if he could sit by her. It dint' matter to him that she was a couple of years younger or that she was a Gryffindor. He just knew that she had stolen his heart. He spent the next four years being a friend to her despite all the ribbing and teasing he was getting from his House mates. It wasn't until his last year at Hogwart's that he actually told her how he felt. Despite her youth, Anjari had also developed deep affections and love for the older Ravenclaw. After he graduated, with high marks and honors, the two of them approached and spoke to their very traditional Indian families. Much to their surprise both sets of parents were happy with the match and rather delighted. It was decided the two would have a long courtship period of three years before their parents could get a proper Indian wedding together. Those three years flew past rather quickly, and they kept in touch regularly while she was still in school and he was starting his training to become an Auror. At the end of those three years, they were married in a very fancy ceremonial wedding. Since his work was in England after the wedding they made their home in Essex and started trying to start a family; despite their parents' advice to wait awhile. Two years later they welcomed their first child, Divya into the world. They decided to wait until she was older before they tried again. It wasn't until she was around four when Anjari found herself pregnant again. This time they welcomed a son; Jai into the family. Jai was much different than his sister Divya; while she had been a calm composed child, he proved to be squirmy and a very light sleeper. As he got older, they noticed his fixation on bugs and thought it rather odd. They had no idea that it would prove to be something that would continue as an obsession of his as he grew older. A few years later, Harshad was born, and he had the same disposition as Jai, only music seemed to help calm him. He and Jai were super close until Harshad turned six, then he completely became obsessed with music and let it consume his every moment. Jai was taught about the magicking world, and often saw his parents, grandparents and older cousins using it all the time. His sister was in her third year at Hogwarts when he finally got to go with her and his father to Diagon Alley. He was enthralled and amazed by what he saw, and became very excited about when he'd get to attend the school. He could barely contain his excitement when he found out that there were magical creatures that were even more exotic than normal insects. He spent the next three years begging his parents for more books on magical creatures and studying everything he could get his hands on. He slowly accumulated a rather large collection of strange insects, spiders, a couple of snakes and lizards. Despite his parent's fear of his strange pets, Jai was able to care for them and keep them from escaping..most of the time. On the morning of his birthday, the breakfast table was visited by an owl with a letter in it's beak. Jai nearly had a panick attack, because he had one of his insects in his shirt pocket and the bird nearly ate it. Thankfully his father was able to distract the bird while he got his pet to safety. When he got back his father handed him the letter. Jai opened it and ripped it open. A grin filled his face as he read the letter aloud. The rest of the day was spent in celebration and that weekend his parents took him to Diagon Alley to get all his school supplies. The first couple of weeks Jai read through all his school books in an eagerness to see what he would learn during the school year. After a month, he went back to playing with his insects and deciding which ones he'd secret away to Hogwarts. MISCELLANEOUSBoggart: Jai stopped in front of the boggart nervously spinning his wand in his right hand, trying to remember what he was supposed to do. The Boggart suddenly shifted from the marrionette professor into a spinning black whirl and then into a giant snarling panther. Jai's eyes widened and stepped back in alarm as the panther shifted it's feet staring at him with shining green eyes. "Remember, think of something funny to counter your fear." The DADA professor reminded him.
Jai's eyes suddenly focused in on the agitated swirling panther's tail. "RIDIKULOUS!" He cried, brandishing his wand at it. A flare of light swirled forth and hit the Panther's tail.
The tail began to suddenly lengthen and turn a bright green. The tail continued to morph until it became a giant python's head and body attached to the back end of the panther. It twisted and started to wrap itself around the panther's body and squeezed it super hard. The Panther's eyes bugged out and it tried to struggle to get out of the python's grasp but it had no hopes of escaping.
A moment later the python unlatched it's jaw and began to slowly devour the panther head first much to the horror of every one else in the room. "I-I think that's enough of that." The professor said through a strangled tone and with a flick of his wand forced the boggart back into it's box.
"Aww, but we didn't get to see the best part!" Jai protested sadly.
"Ugh, weirdo." "Freaky kid, why would he think we would want to see that?" "That was super disgusting." Rang out from the other students in the room.
Jai just ignored them and walked back to his desk in disappointment. It just wasn't fair! He had always wanted to see a panther get devoured whole by a python. Why couldn't the others just allow him that one pleasure without ruining it? Spoilsports!
Mirror of Erised:Jai gazed at the mirror, his eyes brimming with tears. It was so beautiful! So lovely! He was surrounded by the most exquisite, the rarest insects in the world! He reached out to touch them and was saddened to find that it was just a fake image. His face fell and he turned away. What was the use of seeing that what he most desired when it wasn't real? EXTRA CREDITThe Sorting:Jai wasn't paying attention to what the headmaster was saying, though his eyes were fixed in the right direction. In actuality they were focused on the giant spider spinning a web behind the headmaster's chair. His fingers twitched and he held his breath as he watched in awe. He fervently wished he had his camera so he could take a picture. Sadly he hadn't been allowed to bring it, supposedly there was something about Hogart's magic that messed with electronics. He idly wondered if watches had the same problem, though he could have sworn he had seen a kid wearing several of them when he had first arrived. "Hey! It's your turn!" Someone barked into his ear and nudged him forward with a shove. "Get up there!" Jai nearly fell as he walked into the first marble step in front of him. He blinked in confusion and then hopped up the stairs to take on a seat on the stool there. he tried to ignore the laughter that wafted through the room when the sorting hat fell down completely engulfing his head and face. Inside he frowned and reached up and tugged it up and held it on top of his rather small head. "Hmm..well you're an intriguing one. I don't think I've ever come across someone like you before. You have a little bit of that would fit in any of the Houses. Intelligence, but only about what you're interested in. Brave and true, and quite witty when you want to be. But just where to put you? What house do you think you would do well in?" Jai blinked, a bit surprised to hear the hat asking him. He thought the hat was supposed to choose for him. "Well I do think I'd like Gryffindor. My mum says it's a great House." The hat fell silent as it thought that over for a moment, then it roared, "GRYFFINDOR!" Jai was rather stunned by the resounding cheering and clapping that erupted from the Gryffindor table. With a cherry smile he hopped off of the stool and bounded quickly across the floor to join them. "Welcome to Gryffindor chap!" An older kid proclaimed slapping him heartily on his back. Jai was enthralled by all the happy faces around him, welcoming him into their midst. It was like a homecoming, something he had wanted for a very long time. Strange that he had to travel from his real home in India to find his true home in Gryffindor. Patronus:A silvery snake slithering across the air in a horizontal progression Greatest Treasure:All his little insect and spider friends, and his Snake Raja. Manner of Dress:At the beginning of the day, Jai is normally very carefully dressed in his school uniform. As the day proceeds his clothes get a little more wrinkled and slovenly looking. At the end of the day, they will be spattered with dirt and all manner of things, and he'll have spider webs stuck in his hair. He is constantly being told to take baths much to his annoyance, though he normally always does without complaint. He really doesn't know how he gets so dirty so fast. Favorite Class:Care of Magical Creatures, he loves learning about new and exciting creatures and how to take care of them. Worst Class: History of Magic will more than likely put him to sleep, as he falls asleep easily with droning voices. Potions because he'd hate having to use insects and animal parts in potions and probably try and free all the frogs and live seecimen in the classroom.

Approved by Em GENERALName: Nahuel Chivas Gender: Male Birthday: August 7th House: Hufflepuff Blood Status: Muggle born Wand: Birch, Dragon heart string, 10 inches Wand Hand: RightPERSONALITYGeneral: Nahuel has a very easy going manner and is never in a hurry for anything or anyone. Not much in life causes him worry and it takes a lot to offend him. He tends to accept people and situations as they are (or come) and doesn't stress out over them. Often times this carefree laid back mentality comes across as though he's unambitious or that he doesn't really care. This is untrue, Nahuel is very ambitious. He just doesn't let it consume his every moment. He's more of the slow and steady and a long term planner/ He likes to take his time so he gets things right.
Nahuel is a very agreeable sort and has no qualms about letting others take the lead. Some would think that his allowing others to take charge makes him a pushover. He just likes to see how others take charge and to learn from them. Whenever he sees the leader having difficulties he has no problem suggesting alternatives and plans to help them succeed in the task. His easy going nature and readiness to help others makes him well liked and admired by others.
His compassionate nature causes him to reach out to aid those who are having problems. He judges people on who they are, not based on house or rumors that may be said about them. He has a strong sense of empathy for others and doesn't care to listen to other's opinions.
Despite his being open to helping others and being empathetic, his fear of large groups tends to keep him from socializing with a lot of people at once. He tends to keep a lot of his thoughts and opinions to himself and not talking much in class. When he does speak it's usually a very insightful and deep answer or question Habits: Walking around barefoot: he likes the feel of grass and dirt between his toes. When he gets overwhelmed he'll go climb a tree or go for a long hike around the castle grounds or around the lake. Hobbies: Whittling animals out of wood, collecting stones, running/racing, Likes: Nature, Animals, magic, nature sounds, cloud gazing, communing with nature Dislikes:Small confined spaces, though he's learned breathing techniques to help him get over this fear. He really hates being stuck indoors for long periods of time. FAMILYMother: Darina Gennali, 30, Mixed Blood, Witch Father: Nehuen Chavis, 32, Muggle, tribesman of the Mapuche tribe Siblings:

Relationship with Family:Nahuel has a very close relationship with his grandfather. When he was little he would follow him everywhere, he was often called his little shadow because of this. He learned how to do many useful tasks and skills under his grandfather's gentle teachings. Despite being an only child, Nahuel is super close with his cousin Zya, they are the same age and often get into mischief together. HISTORYGeneral History: Born to a mixed race gypsy mother and a mapuche native in Chile Argentina, For the first seven years of his life his parents lived with his father's tribe. That time he spent growing up learning about his father's culture and learning all about their cultural traditions. Even though he was an only child, he had cousins close to his own age that were like siblings to him. They would often get into mischief together, and have a lot of fun hunting and tracking animals. A little after his seven birthday, his mother got the traveling bug and decided it was time to travel to Europe where her gypsy family had ended up. Nahuel said a rather sad farewell to his cousins, Zya especially, and left with his parents to learn more about his mother's family. The more nomadic life style of his mother's people was a bit odd to him at first, but he quickly became enamored with them. It was while with the gypsy's that he started to learn about the magical world, as his mother's was quite magical. He learned a lot of useful things under their guidance albeit in a rather non-traditional way but it worked for him rather well. At some point the family found themselves in England, and ended up staying there for over 8 months helping other migrants and other gypsies who had health problems and had no way of getting care from other healers. A lot of the migrants had come from other countries, some pretty far and had brought sicknesses and other diseases with them that local healers and doctors had never seen before. For about ten months, he and his father helped her with her work. He learned a lot about healing magic and herbs during the time, which he still uses. It was a bit strange to live in one spot for so long without moving around. However it helped him learn English rather well and made him curious as to the talk about a magical school called Hogwarts by the hospital's workers. His eleventh birthday was rather memorable, as that was the day he and his parents were visited by an old wizard and a half giant with a letter that invited him to attend a magical school. Up until that day he had been doing a few gypsy spells under the watchful eye of his relatives. It took a few days of his parents discussing and thinking it over before they decided to send him to Hogwarts. Nahuel was curious and eager to go to a school with kids his own age and the opportunities that Hogwarts might give him. Though the ideas of rules and structure in learning didn't appeal to him all that much. He felt rather lucky that he had already learned English and had a knack at learning new languages. Having never been in any sort of town before, he was rather shell-shocked when he and his parents were escorted by the half giant to Diagon Alley. The noise and the hustle and bustle were almost too much for his over sensitive ears, he spent the majority of the time there with his hands over his ears. He was a bit surprised by all the school books, supplies, and clothes that were required. The shoes he waited until the last minute to slip on, after 11 years of going barefoot or wearing mocassins he was not happy to have to wear them. His departure on the train to get to Hogwarts was rather nerve wracking to him. He spent the ride with wide eyes just listening to the kids talking around him. He had no clue what to think of all the fast chattering and happy kids around him. Though it reminded him of his cousins. MISCELLANEOUSBoggart: Nahuel wasn't so sure he was ready to face the boggart after seeing all the other kids' fears and them confronting them. He had an idea of what he might see and didn't really want to be confronted by it. He held his arms around himself as he got closer and closer to the boggart. Finally, he was in front of it and he eyed the black floating creature with trepidation filling him. The creature began to spin and swirl for several long moments and it split off into several pieces and they took on the faces and forms of his cousins. The next moment their eyes changed into feral looking yellow eyes and they started shifting into monster forms of them, covered in different furs and their teeth turning razor sharp.
They snarled and started to draw closer to him. Nahuel's wand jumped into his hand almost of it's own accord and he brandished it trying to get a happy thought into his head. Then he cried out the Ridikulous spell and the wand's tip glowed and the spell hit the boggart changing the forms of his cousins from snarling monsters into miniature cuddly forms.
His heart pounding loudly in his chest Nahuel practically ran back to his desk and hid under it curling into a ball. He could hear concerned voices from the other students as they glanced at him. The teacher followed to sit down next to him and put a comforting hand on his back. "They were family weren't they?" He asked softly.
Nahuel looked up at him and nodded. "My cousins, they are like brothers and sister to me." He said softly.
Mirror of Erised: EXTRA CREDITThe Sorting:Nahuel stood numbly in the corner of the Great Hall watching as the other kids milled around excitedly chattering about what houses they wanted to get sorted into. He had his hands clapped tightly over his ears as his eyes nerviously darted back and forth around the room. He didn't actually know his name had been called until a kid came over and poked him. He drew his hands off of his ears and heard this name being said. "Hey they've been calling your name for awhile now." The kid told him. He felt his face get hot and moved gracefully across the floor, having removed his shoes while he had been waiting in line. He heard snickers and something about how he was weird for not wearing shoes. He sighed as he took a seat on the strange circle seat and waited for the strange hat to be lowered on his head. He took a deep sniff at the scent coming off of it and was a bit startled to hear the hat speaking to him in his native tongue. "Well now, you are a very intriguing one. I've not gotten to meet one such as you before. Let's see then, what house to put you in. You have qualities that could put you in several different ones. You are very ambitious, and quite intelligent. But your other qualities makes me think that Hufflepuff is the house for you." "Hufflepuff!" the hat cried so everyone could hear it's decree. Nahuel smiled slightly and hopped down from his seat. He glanced around for a moment before the teacher next to him touched his shoudler and pointed out the table with the gold and black banner over it. He shot her a grateful smile and moved over to sit down at the table. The happy applause and cries from his new housemates wasn't too bad, though it was a bit on the loud side as he took a seat at an empty spot near the middle of the massive table. Patronus:Nahuel stood watching in fascination at the other's attempts to produce a patronus and glanced at his wand. Could he actually managed to get one to come forth? he wondered. "Go ahead and try," Encouraged the teacher coming over to him. Nahuel let out a long breath and pulled his wand up glancing at it again. He did the maneuver with the wand and pronounced the spell softly. "Expecto Patronum" His wand let loose a light silvery light. He glanced around again and said it a little louder. "Expecto Patronum!" His wand flared up a bit brighter and a silvery trail erupted out of his wand and a form came forth slowly. His eyes widened when the shape finally became visible and a few kids around him gasped at the huge mountain lion that began to slink around the room. "I should have figured," He said with a rather happy grin. Greatest Treasure:His bearclaw necklace The broom he and his grandfather made together. Manner of Dress:He normally doesn't really care what his clothes look like, though he will try and follow the dress code during the week. The moment he can he'll remove his shoes and walk around barefoot as he hates how shoes squish and make his feet sweat. Favorite Class:Astronomy is his favorite, because he loves learning about the stars and nature. He also rather enjoys his Herbology class, and does very well in this class. Once COMC comes around he'll really enjoy it. Worst Class: History of Magic

Approved by Caffe with the change that she would be a half blood with one pure parent and one muggle ^_^ GENERALName: Isadora Zoe Levesque Gender: Female Birthday: September 10th House: Slytherin Blood Status: Halfblood Wand: Teak, dragon heartstring, 10 1/2 Wand Hand: Right PERSONALITYGeneral: Isadora is a very poised, polished and proper young lady. She's polite to a fault and respectful of her elders. She's not the type to break rules or to be manipulated by her peers. She has a very high standard of morals and tends to look down on those who don't.
She's confident in herself and her abilities despite her mother's attempts to make her believe otherwise. Isadora has much greater aspirations than being forced to keep a house or throw parties like her mother wishes. She only follows her mother's wishes because she wants to make her happy, and wants to show her respect.
Isadora is something of a neat freak and tends to fuss over her appearance until she's sure everything is in place and she looks perfect. It's one of the few things in her life that she has control over so she tends to be very serious about it. She often can take it to extremes, nitpicking over any small thread or stray hair she finds out of place. Because of her critical eye she has a hard time not judging others based on their appearance or lack of orderliness.
Isadora tends to be a very closed off and private person. She has trouble opening up to others and tends to keep her thoughts and feelings mostly to herself. This makes her seem almost always standoffish or even stuck up at times. Not that she really cares what others think o f her.
Isadora has a close relationship with her brother and is comfortable to open to him and tell him more than she would someone else. Because of this closeness she has with him she can get jealous whens he spends time with other people. She's not very good with sharing him and can get easily annoyed with people who are constantly hanging around him.
She can get moody at times, though she tries to keep her emotions hidden from others. One thing she dislikes is the fact that her twin can pick up on what she is feeling. Habits: Smoothing down her dress or skirts self-consciously, tucking or running her hands over her hair to check for stray pieces, checking out her reflection in shiny surfaces. Hobbies: Dancing - Isadora started dancing when she was five years old, she is now very skilled in several styles. Ballroom, Ballet, and Interpretive. Singing- Isadora was singing in the crib so when she was 5 or 6 her parents got her a singing instructor to teach her. Playing piano - Isa has been playing piano since she was five and is quite the accomplished pianist and is often requested to play for her parent's parties. Likes: Caffeine, lacy airy clothing, skirts, dresses, light blue, white, green, fine dining, classical and opera music, love songs, roses, magic Dislikes:jeans, pants, outdoors, messy things, excessive heat, spiders, snails, old fashioned nonsense FAMILYMother:Liliane Aldric, Muggleborn , Ravenclaw Father: Leonce Levesque, Pure Blood, Slytherin Siblings:Isidore Tau Levesque, 14, Slytherin Extended Family:
Maternal Side Mother: lady Colette (Delacroix) Aldric, Muggle Father : Lord Aimsel Aldric, Muggle, *deceased* Siblings: Didiore Aldric , 30s, Muggle Dimitrie Aldric, 28, Muggle
Paternal Side Great Aunt: Imelda Levesque, Pure Blood, Beauxbaton Father: Alcide Levesque, Pure Blood, Slytherin Mother: Cosette (Duval) Levesque, Pure Blood, Beauxbaton Siblings: Julianna (LÉVESQUE) Elder, 34, Pure Blood, Socialite, Beauxbaton (Husband) Egan Elder, 37, Pure Blood, Business Man, Socialite, Slytherin Cousins: Elias Elder, 16, Pure Blood, Slytherin Jane Victoria Elder, 13, Pure Blood, Slytherin
Relationship with Family:Having old fashioned parents who believed children should be seen and not heard, it was rather difficult for Isadora to be close to either of them. She respects and followes the rules they give her, though she certainly doesn't care for all of them. She highly dislikes it when her parents interrupt her when she's working on one of her hobbies to perform for their friends. She feels as though they only appreciate her talents and not for who she is. Isadora is much closer to her twin Isidor. At one point they did everything together as children and would finish each other's sentences. This concerned their parents so much that they separated them and limited the time they got to spend together. Not that this stopped the two of them from sneaking into each other's rooms late at night so they could talk and enjoy each other's company. HISTORY The birth of Isadora and Isidor was cause for celebration for the young Liliana and Leonce. Despite Leonce angering his family by marrying a muggleborn witch, his parents softened when they found out they had grandchildren. It helped that his wife Lilliana was from a muggle socialite family and had a sense of what it would take maneuver in the social circles the Levesque family worked in.
Isadora and her twin brother were raised by several nannies, governesses and didn't really spend much time with their social minded parents. The Levesque home was filled with magic and many House Elves so she was exposed to the magical world from a young age. At the age of eight they started learning basic charms and spells under the watchful eye of a tutor. Isadora was limited to charms and spells that would help her in running a household and getting a husband in the future.
Isadora strongly disliked this and convinced her twin to teach her everything he was taught. She did much better with them because she was much more ambitious and hungry to learn and know magic. Her brother didn't seem to mind so much, since he was already convinced that he'd take over the family home and name when he was old enough.
Isadora had been told and expected to attend Beauxbaton when she got old enough. But due to the undue and untimely death of one of her grandparents, the family was closer to Scotland when the twins birthday came around. At that point they had been living in their grandparents home for a good 7 months, trying to get the household in order and helping their grandmother out.
Isadora was rather elated to get a letter from Hogwarts instead of the Beauxbaton school. She really had no desire to follow in her mother's footsteps and become nothing more than a mother and a social climber. After a long discussion the twins convinced their parents to allow them to go to Hogwarts for the first year and if they didn't do well said they'd transfer to their parent's schools later on. Thankfully this never happened, much to Isadora's relief.
Isadora and her twin spent the next year before they could attend Hogwarts preparing and studying magic a lot more than they had previously. Isadora was a bit perturbed that her mother insisted on making her take up more dance classes but found she rather liked them and did well in them. She still struggles with being the perfect poised daughter that her mother and father expect her to be and the strong ambitious person she wants to be.
She and her brother were taken to Diagon Alley months before school started to get their school supplies. They took their time just enjoying being in a magical place and seeing everything as they collected everything they needed. She spent a very long time in the familiar shop looking over all the pets before her brother convinced her to get a sky blue jarvey, which she named Amabilis.
MISCELLANEOUSBoggart: Isadora held her wand at the ready as the boggart swirled and spun in front of her. She already knew what was going to come and took a deep breath, trying to think of a happy memory. The boggart stopped moving revealing the rather tall pristine imperious face of her mother making Isadora gulp and take a step back. The tall woman moved towards her jerkily rather unlike her mother's normal movements making Isadora's fear slowly die down. "Ridikulous!" She cried out and extended her wand towards the boggart. The next moment the woman's features twisted and changed so they were haggard and ugly to look at, her skin drooping like it was melting off of her face. Isadora could hear a few kids shriek in horror behind her. "You'll never be perfect mother," She whispered slowly with a satisfied look on her face and turned away with her head held high and moved to the back of the line.
Mirror of Erised:Isadora glanced at the mirror in front of her trying to adjust her hair and fixed her makeup and then blinked when she saw it flicker. "that was odd," She said glancing around for the sorce of the light. When she glanced back at the tall mirror she gasped seeing that there were more people around her in the mirror's shining surface. She eyed the curly blonde haired man trying to figure out who he could be. Was it someone she knew? She wondered. The smiling blue haired and blonde haired kids beamed up at her and she blinked. "A family? that's my bloody dream? As if." She said crossing her arms over her chest. She blinked a moment later when her older brother showed up on the mirror and handed her what looked like a trophy. "Well..maybe that is something I'd like to see." She said with a slight smirk. EXTRA CREDITThe Sorting:Isadora stood in the line of students with her hands clasped behind her back, trying to not fidget. Her eyes were moving around the room taking in all the amazing sights of the castle around her. When the professor reading the names hit the last names with L, she felt her heart begin to beat fast in her chest. "Levesque, Isadora Zoe." The professor said crisply. Isadora slowly and gracefully made her way up to the dais and slide onto the stool and waited for the sorting hat to be placed on her head. She flinched slightly not really happy that she had to have the old hat on her head. She wondered if it had ever been washed..she'd hate to get some other kid's case of head lice. "I'm magical silly girl, I can't get infested with lice." The hat spoke to her with a chuckle. Isadora felt her face blush bright at his words and hoped no one else could hear the hat. "Nope just you," The hat told her with another laugh. "All right give me a minute to check you out. Hmm...lots of ambition, and drive. Also very gifted, Well I'd think Slytherin is a great house for you. SLYTHERIN!" The wizarding hat announced loudly for all to hear. Isadora let out a sigh of relief and slipped off of the stool and gracefully made here way over to the now cheering Slytherin table. Patronus:Her patronus is an irish wolfhound, much like the one her family owned when she was a small child. The wolfhound, Ibis, used to shadow her everywhere and was the one pet she was allowed until she got into Hogwarts. Greatest Treasure:The blue crystal necklace she always wears around her neck, she only takes it off for bedtime. Her brother and her received the twin necklaces for their 11th birthday from their godfather. Her other treasure is her Familiar Amabilis the Jarvey. Manner of Dress:Isadora is always dressed in nice clean clothes, some of them look rather expensive and others look antique. She works very hard at keeping her attire as clean as possible and avoids situatiosn that would get them dirty. She's always striving for perfection, so if there's a thread or a bead out of place she has to fix it straight away. She tends to carry a small sewing kit on her at all times. Favorite Class:Charms, she has a natural affinity to remembering gestures and pronunciation so she thrives in this class. Worst Class:Potions, it's such a messy class! She hates classes that make her get dirty. Herbology is also another class that she doesn't care for, especially when she's got to get her hands into dirt all the time!

When it is necessary, she'll take on leadership roles and won't let others derail her. She's very assertive and uses it to keep others on track in order for her or the team to do well. She can be rather bossy, manipulative and often times self absorbed, which she doesn't think is a bad thing.
She doesn't make friends easily because of her stoic manner and no nonsense approach to life. She has a tough time relaxing and just living in the moment, though she is learning to slowly. Third Cousin: Lothar Aleksie Alvesleben, 11, Ravenclaw.
Relationship with Family:She was super close with her father and they did practically everything together. He was the one that got her into studying languages and started teaching her when she was three years old. They would spend hours in his study reading and enjoying one another's company. He let her be herself, and that is what made her want to spend so much time with him. Her relationship with her mother was rather tentative and strained. Heloise was always trying to push her into doing more girly things and not spend so much time studying or learning. She always wanted her daughter go be more girly than she was. This just caused a lot of tension and annoyance in Louvenia. The only thing that she did that pleased her mother was when she tool up playing the piano. She was a natural much to everyone's surprise. She will often play songs that her mother loves to sing. They will often do duets at parties, even though Louvenia hates going out that much. HISTORYGeneral History: Abelard married Heloise, who was much younger than he was by 20 years or more. They weren't the best of couples, and were often arguing about what they wanted to do. However, they did love each other in their own way, and four years after they married they were given a great gift when Louvenia came along.
It was during a yule ball at his cousin's palace where Heloise went into labor. She had insisted on going, despite her being so close to her due date. Louvenia was born precisely at 12:05 am with a head full of bright blond hair and sparkling blue eyes, screaming at the top of her lungs. She was greeted with great ceremony by her father and all the guests at the party.
Heloise took one look at her, held her for a moment and then gave her over to the nurse and went back to sleep.
Louvenia's fist couple of years were spent under the loving care of a nurse and her father. Her mother tried half-heartedly to get attached, but it never really happened. She hadn't come from a nurturing family and she had no idea how to do it. She did take part in getting her clothes and more toys than Louvenia would ever need.
By the time she was six, her care had been firmly placed into the capable hands of a governess, Elizabeth Lansberry. While her father still doted on her and instructed her in languages, most of his energy was focused on his students at the college he was teaching at. He was also struggling to keep up with his wife's youthfulness and wanting to go out every evening.
Tragedy struck, when her parents were killed in a building fire and couldn't get out in time. Louvenia was numb and speechless for several weeks, as she processed the loss of her parents. She was 8 when this happened. Her father's cousin being named her guardian, he and his son moved in to her home to help get everything in order. It took them a little over a month to clear out the house and sell it before they could move Louvenia into one of the Alvesleben castles.
Elizabeth, her governess and several of her father's house servants made the move with her. Alesander wanted her to have some familiar faces in his homes, and figured that with Ms. Lansberry being so well certified that she could teach his son as well as Louvenia. Louvenia slowly came out of her shell and got pretty close to her cousin. They were soon discussing geneology and exploring the castle top to bottom.
Louvenia soon became her old self and much to her cousin's annoyance began to outshine him in the classroom. He had always been the one to do the best, and now she was doing better than him! It soon became a rather embroiled competiton with them who could be the best. They butted heads every now and then, until they decided to just concentrate on the process of learning and not the gains. That's when things got better.
In the Duke's home, Louvenia was more exposed to magic than she had been in her own home. She soon became enthralled with it and constantly asked questions about how it was done. She was really excited when she was told about schools for magical studying and hoped that she would one day be asked to attend. She was overjoyed when she received her letter from Hogwarts on her birthday and read it aloud.
She was even more excited when Lothar received his letter in February. His father was really happy for the both of them and took them on a special trip to England to celebrate the happy occasion. Once there, the three of them discussed what the two kids would need for school and when they'd go and buy the supplies. MISCELLANEOUSBoggart: Louvenia would see herself trussed up like a doll in frilly lacy clothes and being forced to be on display in front of a huge crowd of people.
Mirror of Erised: Louvenia would see herself at the age of 17, her head held high receiving her diploma and the dean's award for her focus and diligence. She'd receive many accolades from her teachers and fellow students and have lots of friends congratulating her.
She'd wish for success if she actually believed in wishes. She believes more in hard work and diligence. Wishing one's life away is pure laziness.EXTRA CREDITThe Sorting: Working on Greatest Treasure: Her owl, Giovanni. He used to be her fathers. She inherited him after her father died, and she's cared for him since. Manner of Dress: She is an impeccable dresser and always checks her outfits several times over before leaving her dorm room. She gets really annoyed if she finds loose string or if her shoes get scuffed or stepped on by other people. She even trims hairs that stick out from the ends of her braids. HISTORY General History: Barret Avery, Lucian's father died before Lucian ever went to Hogwarts. No one is sure how are why, but the fact is Lucian predicted it. This fact disturbed his mother severely. It didn't help that he rarely ever predicted the good and because of this and the incident with of predicting his father's death. Helga his mother thought him to be a cursed child. She left him at a wizard orphanage in England before moving to America with her daughter in toe. Lucian didn't find much more acceptance at the orphanage, he didn't seem to fit in with the other kids even when he tried. Between being angry about loosing his father and his mother abandoning him, things just seemed to get worse for Lucian. He distanced himself from other people not wanting to risk that he somehow would be blamed for the bad things that happened to other people. He tried to dull his mind and hide his skill away from the world. Through school Lucian fell into the wrong crowd and as he got older he did what he could to rid himself of his woes. Father: Alesander Alvesleben, Pureblood, Slytherine, 30s. He’s a debonair type of fellow, very suave and a sort of lady's man. However, since he's divorced his wife, he hasn't been dating seriously. One day perhaps when his son is older he'll start looking again. He tries to always put his son first, when his duties as a Duke don't take all his attention. HISTORY General History: Born on February 17th in Dortmund Germany to a Royal; Alesander Alvesleben, and Maris Bundt; a pureblood witch of Swedish Descent; Lothar was born into a family that had high expectations and goals for him. This changed when his his bright blonde hair darkened to a golden brown withing four months of being born, and his eyes turned from bright cerulean blue to a muddy brown. His Grandparents on both sides were completely shocked and horrified with his transformation, not to mention very disappointed. His mother, a blond haired blue eyed Swede was rather infuriated and blamed it on her husband. She even took to referring to him as the "Mud Monster" and refused to have anything with him, despite his Pure blood status.
Thankfully his father wasn't as shallow as the rest of the family and took great care in raising his son to not be as stuck up or concerned with looks. Having been forced into an arranged marriage, Alesander immediately started the process of divorcing his wife. He had no wish to remain married to a woman that was so callous. Four months later she was out of their lives and cozying up to a much blonder count.
Disgusted with his push and judgmental family, Alesander cut of all ties and retreated with his son to his Great Uncle Lestharo's mansion. His Great Uncle had no family of his own and was getting on in age. The addition of a gurgling happy 14 month old brought a sudden youth back into the older man. He loved to spoil Lothar as often as he could, despite Alesander's protests.
It was at Lestharo's mansion where Lothar first became exposed to magic from several smitten House Elves, Fancy and Nory, the two female House Elves first used their magic to soothe him to sleep and to entertain him when he was fussy. Alesander had no idea what was going on until he walked in on them one night when they were making an elaborate light show over his crib to put him to sleep.
Seeing how enthralled his son was, Alesander decided it would be a good idea to have his son grow up seeing it and growing used to it. That way it wouldn't be such a shock later on when he discovered it. Bye the time Lothar was four, seeing magic was as common to him as breathing. It still fascinated him however..and he's always wanted to do it.
His childhood didn't change much from before; though his father had many more responsiblities having been named Duke of his region of Germany. Lothar was often left to his own devices, which meant he was spending his time exploring the mansion, spying on guest, and playing pranks on the House Elves. Until the House Elves had enough and brought his shennanigans to the attention of his father.
His father decided it was time his five year old start schooling and hired a tutor to start instructing him in the finer arts of life. Lothar hated this change, but he actually took a liking to learning and found out that it came rather easily to him. He started reading everything he could get his hands on, and discovered that with the art of proper etiquette came the art of insulting others but with a finesse to it.
He took up horsemanship and fencing when he got older, and thrived in both of them. He loved competing and showing other kids how it was done properly. Of course, he had more opportunities to practice so he was always a little better than others. And having exceptional teachers that paid him their full attention didn't hurt either.
Sadness struck Lothar and his father when the elderly Lestharo passed away in his sleep. They had seen it coming for a few years, as he had been growing weaker and slower and wasn't able to function properly. It was somewhat of a relief that he had died in his sleep and hadn't suffered when he went. It was a big surprise however when they found his will and discovered that he had left everything he had owned to them. There was millions in pounds in Gringotts, as well as jewels, swords and all manner of things that were worth a great deal of money. It was a surprise to find that Lestharo had owned four castles; especially since they had lived in the one mansion for so long.
It was around this time that his cousin Louvenia came to live with them after horrible deaths of her parents. Lothar had no idea how to act around a girl, and didn't really know how to treat her. He learned pretty fast that she was just as competitive and able to surpass him in a lot of areas. While he won't say it he admires and respects her for her focus and tenacity. He sometimes wishes he were more like her.
When he turned eleven he wasn't surprised to get a letter from Hogwarts inviting him to the school. His father had told him stories all about the place and how much fun it would be. He was rather excited about being able to go to a new place and get to learn new things that his father and teachers had hinted at for years.
He was overjoyed when his father decided that it was time they travel and whisked him and his cousin off to England so they could get to know the place better before they went there for school. They even got a private tour of the school much to his delight. It was an eye opener for him and he couldn't help but get pumped up for the start of the school year.

Approved by Caffe GENERALName: Evelyn Muirhead Gender: Female Birthday: September 26 House: Gryffindor Blood Status: Halfblood Wand: Cypress with phoenix feather, 13", unyielding. Wand Hand: LeftPERSONALITYGeneral: Teased for her timidity for as long as she can remember, Evelyn wears her much-maligned nickname, "Dormouse", like a prison shackle. Perhaps it's something of a self-fulfilling prophecy that Evelyn has taken on some of the traits of that dozy mammal: she sleeps quite a lot, and soundly at that. She's also quite agile for a child her age, being particularly adept at climbing trees.
Unfortunately, the constant taunting has also impacted her self-esteem. The naturally soft-spoken Evelyn has further devolved into a very withdrawn little girl, distant from other children her age. Despite her experiences with her peers, she cannot bring herself to be resentful or angry for very long. Instead, she defaults to a kind of woeful resignation: since those who would be her friends reject her, she must be undeserving or somehow incomplete. She will open up somewhat easier to older figures, although the creeping fear that something is wrong with her will persist even there, and keep emotional barriers high.
However, when you get right down to it, Evelyn is still just a child. She enters Hogwarts at a young eleven and yearns to be accepted by others, though experiences with her muggle peers leave her wary of, and inexperienced with, how exactly to be a friend. This will hopefully change in Hogwarts: a few good friends could make all the difference in helping her build her backbone. In the meantime, she has the very fact that she's there to cling to. She was chosen for Hogwarts. She is a witch! That is something that she can hold close, something that is uniquely her own, and the idea will lend her the self-worth she needs to rebuild her own esteem. There's a hidden strength to the mouse that will surprise everyone, most of all herself. Habits: She has a tendency to take care of strays. When nervous or uncomfortable, she'll physically withdraw from the situation, seeming almost to sink into her clothes. Hobbies: Dancing (ballet), kickboxing Likes: Animals, baked goods, fairy tales Dislikes: Getting dirty, assumptions, taking people for granted FAMILYMother: Chielle Leslie Muirhead, muggle, photographer Father: Marlin Merl Muirhead, Ravenclaw, traveler, photographer and historian Siblings: None Extended Family: None that she's ever met Relationship with Family: Strained at best. Evelyn has never been terribly close to her mother, but their relationship degenerated horribly following Marlin's death. Not only was she reluctant to allow Evelyn to go to Hogwarts, knowing that her father was a wizard has raised a lot of questions for Evelyn about his death - questions that Chielle so far refuses to answer.HISTORYGeneral History: Evelyn's father and mother worked as photographers, traveling the country on the hunt for ruins and sites of historical significance. Just about as soon as she could comport herself, Evelyn was relegated to the bearer of supplies. Through fervent action, she was taught that children should be seen, not heard. This resulted in a very polite daughter for the Muirheads, but also one who felt stifled and unable to act on her desires, and as if she could not tell her parents anything about it to boot. In general, young Evelyn was forced to watch herself take a backseat to her parents' work.
Her one respite came in the form of self-defense classes taught by her father. Chielle disapproved of the brutish form of martial art Marlin taught their daughter, but he insisted that Evelyn needed to know some kind of self-defense if she continued to travel with them. Father and daughter bonded over the kicks, punches, clinches and holds he passed down. Although it could be argued that the Muirheads were not best prepared for the addition of a daughter into their lives, the relationship between Marlin and Evelyn, at least, began to look up.
One of young Evelyn's fondest memories comes from a particular ruin her parents explored. To Evelyn's eyes, it simply was not a ruin. Though her parents lingered at the entrance, her father very sternly insisting that it wasn't safe to take pictures of the interior, the child found her way inside. Past the initial crumbling entryway, the building was covered in plants and beautiful stonework. Statues of wonderful creatures entranced the girl, so lifelike that they seemed to move before her eyes. Before she got too far into the enchanting place, a woman appeared at her side. Taking Evelyn's hand gently in her own, the woman walked her back outside the facade; but not before lifting a finger impishly to her lips, and giving her a wink. Evelyn has never forgotten the woman's raven-black hair or laughing eyes, and often dreamed of the kindness in her smile.
Everything began to go downhill when Marlin's life was cut tragically short. Chielle told Evelyn that it was their profession that did him in: ever an overachiever, Marlin insisted on scaling a hazardous precipice looking for the perfect shot. When the stone crumbled under his feet, there was no saving the man.
Heartbroken and grieving, the family halted their traveling. Chielle moped around the apartment they were forced to move into in absence of her husband's income, numb to the world. Evelyn was forced to take care of her. When the woman's bereavement leave expired, she took on only small, local jobs. After some scattered attempts to pick up the home-schooling Marlin had once handled, her mother enrolled Evelyn in school proper. The submissive mentality enforced earlier on in her life proved to be a hindrance once she encountered muggle peers, and the inevitable bullying began. For about two years, the family did not move at all - yet they were much less stable than they had been while traveling.
Evelyn was overjoyed to see the woman from the not-a-ruin at her doorstep one day. She was even more thrilled (if not a little incredulous) to hear the woman tell her that she was a witch! Chielle, on the other had, was furious. Her mother threatened to throw the woman out of her home as a fraud, but the mysterious lady stood firm. She was every inch the beautiful idol Evelyn had made of her as she stepped past the girl's mother and denounced everything Evelyn thought she had known about her life.
For starters, her father been a wizard. Her mother had known it all along! And they had kept that knowledge from Evelyn at her mother's insistence, for Chielle had hoped with all of her heart that her daughter would be born without magical talent. She still hoped so, she very vehemently told the woman, stressing that there was no proof that her daughter had any magic in her at all. But the woman looked at Evelyn and winked, because the two of them knew better.
The woman gracefully argued Chielle into a sullen silence. Without another word, she stepped forward and handed the girl a letter. A school for magic, Hogwarts, surpassed every one of Evelyn's wildest dreams. And the woman - a professor, she said, of that very school! - was just as impish as Evelyn remembered when she insisted that she looked forward to seeing her there.MISCELLANEOUSBoggart: The most outspoken of her old school bullies, happily jeering "Dormouse, snore-mouse, bitty silly bore-mouse!" at her. He was a reedy boy in a striped wool sweater named Wygheard.
Mirror of Erised: Herself, embraced by both of her parents, with her mother's camera slung about her neck. She could have the love of all the friends in the world, but it will never fill in for the parental love she lacks.EXTRA CREDITThe Sorting: No sooner does the hat graze her skull than it bellows, "Gryffindor!" In the second before it does, it whispers in her head that she has much to learn.
Patronus: A dormouse. She laughs so hard she cries the first time she sees it.
Greatest Treasure: Her cat, Scofflaw. The she-cat was a stray poking around her mother's flat shortly after her father passed away. Though scarred and battered, she nevertheless provided much love and consoling in the coming year when Evelyn needed it the most. To the girl's chagrin, the cat disappeared for some time afterwards. However, when she was pulling her chest out of the house to prepare for her journey to Hogwarts, who else should emerge from the bushes and hop possessively atop it? The cat has been her stalwart companion ever since.
Manner of Dress: Unused to fashion and having clothes that were anything more than serviceable, Evelyn will probably dress in drab, mismatched clothes early-on. She'll generally look a bit down-at-the-heels. However, in later years, she'll develop a love of bright colors and current fashions. While she'll never be a fashionista, she'll grow into quite a dapper lass indeed.
Favorite Class: Care of Magical Creatures, Flying
Worst Class: Transfiguration, Potions
