GENERAL
Name: Faelan Hardt
Gender: Female
Birthday: December 17th
House: Ravenclaw
Blood Status: Half-Blood
Wand: Length: 9 1/2 in Wood:Redwood Core biggrin ragon Flexibility:Supple
Wand Hand: Left

PERSONALITY
General: Excitable and dreamy, Faelan tends to live half-in her out little world and half-out. She's pleasant enough when engaging with other students, but there are some social decorum that she never quite understood the necessity of -- such as personal boundaries. She's never shy of physically displaying her affection for others, whether it is reciprocated or not. At the same time, however, she's also quite content to not be spending her personal time with others. Growing up an only child left Faelan more than equipped to entertain herself. Curious as a kitten, she is pleased as a pea in a pod to be exploring the grounds and the halls all by herself with only her own voice for company - how could she not when there is such an abundance of interesting things around!
Habits: Faelan is used to daydreaming and spending a lot of time by herself so it's become habit for her to have almost entire conversations with herself to pass the time. It's not as if she's gone so far as to argue with herself, though...
Hobbies: Collecting muggle postcards and pictures of muggle celebrities, despite the fact that she does not know the names for either.
Likes: Exploring, disassembling whatcha-mi-callits, and rallying the cheers at the quidditch games.
Dislikes: Being stuck in any one place for very long, being forbidden from anything fun, people repeating themselves.

FAMILY
Mother: Emilie Hardt - deceased
Father: Bazil Hardt - Quibbler Editor on Magical Insects and Arachnids, Gryffindor.
Siblings: Only child.
Extended Family: One crazy aunt who enjoys spoiling her niece with muggle magazines and post cards, gotten by her muggle husband, Faelan's Uncle. A few cousins, all attending Beauxbatons (triplets).
Relationship with Family:
Close to her Aunt & Uncle, but estranged from her cousins due to distance and difference of interests. Loves her father to bits.

HISTORY
General History: Born to a muggle mother and a wizard father, Faelan grew up with one foot in both worlds. Not that she ever minded, with curiosity the size of the UK there was hardly enough to satisfy her need for excitement. It helped that she has been easily excitable from a young age, beaming over something as simple as a muggle-made postcard given to her by her Aunt & Uncle, to a puppy... though they didn't keep the puppy for long due to some unforeseen allergies in her mother.

When she was nine, her mother passed away in a vehicular collision outside of London. She almost lost her interest in the muggle world entirely then, but her Father, Aunt, and Uncle (her mother's brother) created a close, tight-nit support system for Faelan and it wasn't long until she was back on her feet, chasing after pollen spores and butterflies.

It was around that time, though, that Faelan started displaying her affection for others openly, from a peck on the cheek for thanks to a tight, enormous hug when she was extremely pleased. Not one to discourage, her father accepted and encouraged this behavior and she has yet to outgrow it, despite her habit of practicing it in inappropriate situations.

When the letter for Hogwarts arrived, Faelan's father was at first proud, but then heartsick. Faelan was of course ecstatic, sending an owl to her Aunt and her Uncle immediately, because to her the distance between Hogwarts and Portsmouth. To her father though, saying good-bye to his daughter was more difficult.

Still, with her usual cheer, a cheerful Faelan bid farewell to her father and welcomed the adventure of the school of witchcraft and wizardry.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: The thought of having a talking, animated hat placed on top of her head was, to Faelan, absolutely... well, brilliant! "I've never had a talking hat on top of my head before!" She said to the hat.

"Neither have I..." The hat replied dryly.

Unphased by the sarcasm, Faelan pressed on, "I wonder what it would be like to sit on top of someone's head... I'm so glad that I washed my hair this morning, otherwise I imagine it might have been a fright!" Giggling, she looked upwards. "Of course, I imagine that not
every body does wash... oh dear, that can't be good for your oral hygiene.. what with your mouth being so large, I mean, and so close to scalps with all those different sorts of health problems that can affect children our age. Of course, that's much more common in the mu--"

"RAVENCLAW!" Boomed the hat, bringing an end to
that conversation.

Boggart: a speeding, out of control motor vehicle. Understandably, because it is how she imagined her mother's last moments.

Mirror of Erised: An all access pass to the restricted section in Hogwart's library.

EXTRA CREDIT

Patronus: Faelan's Patronus is a Lion; the symbol of her father's house.

Greatest Treasure: An empty picture frame, silver with fake emeralds bejewled within captivating patterns in the metalwork. It was meant to be a birthday gift from her mother, given instead by her Aunt after the accident.

Manner of Dress: Faelan could be called a messy dresser, though she never has stains or crumbs on her clothing. Sometimes they are wrinkled from spending too much time on her floor, but most of the time she simply tends to forget one item of clothing a day.. sometimes more often if she is changing for any reason.

Favorite Class: Potions class is the best fit for Faelan - she just loves to experiment with all the possibilities. Of course, this generally means straying away from curriculum which isn't good for her grades.

Worst Class: Faelan hates Divinations. What kind of fun can be had when someone is going to tell you exactly what your future has in store?

I would like to reemphasize that RP Approval is only for posting FINISHED Forms!

Not only does this add clutter in the thread, but it also delays getting the character approved because staff isn't notified when someone finishes.

Thus, I would like to ask those who posted incomplete rp approvals to repost their form when finished (you can keep your previous posts intact). The same goes for if you edit something in. I would also like to ask if in the future, you refrain from "saving posts" and only post finished forms.

Thanks! : P

Unicorn Hair is best for those with pure intentions, and is almost never wielded by someone intending to use their wand for evil purposes. Especially good for love, defense and healing magic.

PERSONALITY
General:
Amicable-Jai hates contention and fighting and no matter what always stays cheerful and strives to bring harmony to those around him. He's super friendly and easy going, his smile is always genuine. His gracious and forgiving manner tends to win others over in the end. He doesn't really have a bad bone in his body.

Genuine- Jai is always real and true to himself no matter what people say or how they might judge him. He doesn't really take much stock with other's think. As long as he's happy with himself that's enough.

Eccentric- Jai is odd and that's a nice way of putting it. He has strange ideas that he'll fixate on and babble about at the most inopportune moments. If he notices any sort of insect he'll focuse on it and start babbling insect lore to himself. Half the time he forgets if he's alone or not.

Rash- Jai is often impetuous and acts before thinking things through. This has led to him getting into some pretty bad situations, which take him a long time to recover from. He's broken numerous bones, fallen off of roofs, gotten stuck in a chimney and gotten bitten and stung more than he can count.

Hobbies: Collecting wizard cards, Playing the sitar, Eating Chocolate Frogs, Doodling animals and bugs, Collecting and caring for bugs and spiders.

Siblings:
Divya Nejem (Abdul)- Witch, Hufflepuff, *betrothed* 16
Harshad Nejem, 8 1/2, Non tested

Extended Family: Quite a lot of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relationship with Family:
Jai has always been the odd one out in his family: his older sister is really close to her mother and his younger brother is the miniature verson of their father. Jai has always felt like he's on the outside looking in on what he wishes he could have.

He finds his father frightening because of how assertive and serious he is. His father rarely initiates time with him and that's the only way Jai would spedn time with him. He's too afraid to approach him about anything.

His mother is too busy running the household and keeping things running perfectly for her family to give him much attention. Jai tries to engage his mother in conversation but finds his choices often horrify and frighten her. She tends to scare easily and his talk of bugs, spiders and reptiles often cause her to freak out or faint.

He was at one time really close to his younger brother. Then his brother's interests turned to music where he showed a lot of natural born talent. Harshad is so focused at becoming the best he can be that he doesn't spend much time on anything else.

His older sister is the only one that will seek him out and spend time with him. For some odd reason insects don't bother her nor does his talk of them. If it weren't for her and his animals and insects he wouldn't have any friends. he's rather sad that she'll be done at Hogwarts and married within the next couple of years. He doesn't really look forward to her moving on with her life but he doesn't say anything because she seems so happy.

HISTORY
General History:
Devadas and Anjari first met when they attended Hogwarts as children. Anjari's sleek black cherry hair attracted Devadas' attention for the first time at a Quidditch match between their Houses. On impulse he made his way over to her and asked if he could sit by her. It dint' matter to him that she was a couple of years younger or that she was a Gryffindor. He just knew that she had stolen his heart.

He spent the next four years being a friend to her despite all the ribbing and teasing he was getting from his House mates. It wasn't until his last year at Hogwart's that he actually told her how he felt. Despite her youth, Anjari had also developed deep affections and love for the older Ravenclaw.

After he graduated, with high marks and honors, the two of them approached and spoke to their very traditional Indian families. Much to their surprise both sets of parents were happy with the match and rather delighted. It was decided the two would have a long courtship period of three years before their parents could get a proper Indian wedding together.

Those three years flew past rather quickly, and they kept in touch regularly while she was still in school and he was starting his training to become an Auror. At the end of those three years, they were married in a very fancy ceremonial wedding. Since his work was in England after the wedding they made their home in Essex and started trying to start a family; despite their parents' advice to wait awhile.

Two years later they welcomed their first child, Divya into the world. They decided to wait until she was older before they tried again. It wasn't until she was around four when Anjari found herself pregnant again. This time they welcomed a son; Jai into the family.

Jai was much different than his sister Divya; while she had been a calm composed child, he proved to be squirmy and a very light sleeper. As he got older, they noticed his fixation on bugs and thought it rather odd. They had no idea that it would prove to be something that would continue as an obsession of his as he grew older.

A few years later, Harshad was born, and he had the same disposition as Jai, only music seemed to help calm him. He and Jai were super close until Harshad turned six, then he completely became obsessed with music and let it consume his every moment.

Jai was taught about the magicking world, and often saw his parents, grandparents and older cousins using it all the time. His sister was in her third year at Hogwarts when he finally got to go with her and his father to Diagon Alley. He was enthralled and amazed by what he saw, and became very excited about when he'd get to attend the school. He could barely contain his excitement when he found out that there were magical creatures that were even more exotic than normal insects.

He spent the next three years begging his parents for more books on magical creatures and studying everything he could get his hands on. He slowly accumulated a rather large collection of strange insects, spiders, a couple of snakes and lizards. Despite his parent's fear of his strange pets, Jai was able to care for them and keep them from escaping..most of the time.

On the morning of his birthday, the breakfast table was visited by an owl with a letter in it's beak. Jai nearly had a panick attack, because he had one of his insects in his shirt pocket and the bird nearly ate it. Thankfully his father was able to distract the bird while he got his pet to safety. When he got back his father handed him the letter. Jai opened it and ripped it open. A grin filled his face as he read the letter aloud.

The rest of the day was spent in celebration and that weekend his parents took him to Diagon Alley to get all his school supplies. The first couple of weeks Jai read through all his school books in an eagerness to see what he would learn during the school year. After a month, he went back to playing with his insects and deciding which ones he'd secret away to Hogwarts.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting:
Jai wasn't paying attention to what the headmaster was saying, though his eyes were fixed in the right direction. In actuality they were focused on the giant spider spinning a web behind the headmaster's chair. His fingers twitched and he held his breath as he watched in awe. He fervently wished he had his camera so he could take a picture. Sadly he hadn't been allowed to bring it, supposedly there was something about Hogart's magic that messed with electronics. He idly wondered if watches had the same problem, though he could have sworn he had seen a kid wearing several of them when he had first arrived.

"Hey! It's your turn!" Someone barked into his ear and nudged him forward with a shove. "Get up there!"

Jai nearly fell as he walked into the first marble step in front of him. He blinked in confusion and then hopped up the stairs to take on a seat on the stool there. he tried to ignore the laughter that wafted through the room when the sorting hat fell down completely engulfing his head and face. Inside he frowned and reached up and tugged it up and held it on top of his rather small head.

"Hmm..well you're an intriguing one. I don't think I've ever come across someone like you before. You have a little bit of that would fit in any of the Houses. Intelligence, but only about what you're interested in. Brave and true, and quite witty when you want to be. But just where to put you? What house do you think you would do well in?"

Jai blinked, a bit surprised to hear the hat asking him. He thought the hat was supposed to choose for him. "Well I do think I'd like Gryffindor. My mum says it's a great House."

The hat fell silent as it thought that over for a moment, then it roared, "GRYFFINDOR!"

Jai was rather stunned by the resounding cheering and clapping that erupted from the Gryffindor table. With a cherry smile he hopped off of the stool and bounded quickly across the floor to join them.
"Welcome to Gryffindor chap!" An older kid proclaimed slapping him heartily on his back.
Jai was enthralled by all the happy faces around him, welcoming him into their midst. It was like a homecoming, something he had wanted for a very long time. Strange that he had to travel from his real home in India to find his true home in Gryffindor.

Boggart: Jai stopped in front of the boggart nervously spinning his wand in his right hand, trying to remember what he was supposed to do. The Boggart suddenly shifted from the marrionette professor into a spinning black whirl and then into a giant snarling panther. Jai's eyes widened and stepped back in alarm as the panther shifted it's feet staring at him with shining green eyes.
"Remember, think of something funny to counter your fear." The DADA professor reminded him.

Jai's eyes suddenly focused in on the agitated swirling panther's tail. "RIDIKULOUS!" He cried, brandishing his wand at it. A flare of light swirled forth and hit the Panther's tail.

The tail began to suddenly lengthen and turn a bright green. The tail continued to morph until it became a giant python's head and body attached to the back end of the panther. It twisted and started to wrap itself around the panther's body and squeezed it super hard. The Panther's eyes bugged out and it tried to struggle to get out of the python's grasp but it had no hopes of escaping.

A moment later the python unlatched it's jaw and began to slowly devour the panther head first much to the horror of every one else in the room.
"I-I think that's enough of that." The professor said through a strangled tone and with a flick of his wand forced the boggart back into it's box.

"Aww, but we didn't get to see the best part!" Jai protested sadly.

"Ugh, weirdo." "Freaky kid, why would he think we would want to see that?" "That was super disgusting." Rang out from the other students in the room.

Jai just ignored them and walked back to his desk in disappointment. It just wasn't fair! He had always wanted to see a panther get devoured whole by a python. Why couldn't the others just allow him that one pleasure without ruining it? Spoilsports!
Mirror of Erised:
Jai gazed at the mirror, his eyes brimming with tears. It was so beautiful! So lovely! He was surrounded by the most exquisite, the rarest insects in the world! He reached out to touch them and was saddened to find that it was just a fake image. His face fell and he turned away. What was the use of seeing that what he most desired when it wasn't real?

EXTRA CREDIT

Patronus:
Jai looked around the Forbidden Forest warily as he tried to find the trail back to the Hogwart's grounds. Why again had he gone this far into the scary woods? Well there had been that trial of spiders going out of the boy's bathroom on the ground floor that had caught his attention. He still wondered where they had gotten off to. Though now he wasn't worried about them seeing as it was nearing dusk and he couldn't find his way back. He really needed to pay more attention to where he was going from now one. Getting lost in the forest was not his idea of a good time.

"If only I had a light of some sort that would tell people that I'm lost out here." He muttered rubbing his tingling arms. It was getting colder and he hadn't thought to wear his sweater.
"Oh duh." He pulled his wand out of his pocket and cried, "Expecto Patronum!"
A silvery light shone from the tip of his wand and then steadily grew into a ball of light that poured out to take the shape of a slithering snake which shot up into the now purple sky leaving a silver trail of glowing light behind it.
"Ooh," Jai exclaimed cheerfully as he watched his patronus slither back and forth in the sky. "It's soo pretty!"

Greatest Treasure: All his little insect and spider friends, and his Snake Raja.

Manner of Dress: At the beginning of the day Jai is normally very carefully dressed in his school uniform. As the day proceeds his clothes get a little more wrinkled and slovenly looking. At the end of the day they will be spattered with dirt and all manner of things, and he'll have spiderwebs stuck in his hair. He is constantly being told to take baths much to his annoyance, though he normally always does without complaint. He really doesn't know how he gets so dirty so fast.

GENERAL
Name: Zennah Westenra
Gender: Female
Birthday: January 13th (Capricorn)
House: Slytherin
Blood Status: Pureblood
Wand: Elm, 8 1/2 inches, core of dragon heartstring
Wand Hand: Right

PERSONALITY
General: Outwardly she is generally sweet and charming, easily popular. She wants to be admired, so popularity suits her just fine. She wants to be the best at anything she puts her mind to. Her current goal in life is to study how to be an Animagus, but she understands it's not something taught at the school. Inwardly she's cunning and impatient and is only interested in what others can do for her. She is curious and nosy and she wants to know all the latest gossip, everything she can.
Habits: Tapping her feet, twirling her hair around a finger, chewing on random things.
Hobbies: She enjoys reading and studying most. She also makes small dolls to give to her friends.
Likes: Purebloods. Slytherins. Being popular. Transfiguration. Animals.
Dislikes:Muggles/Mixed Bloods, all the other houses but most especially Gryffindors (thank you school rivalry!), being ignored.

FAMILY
Mother: Nia Westenra
Father: Jelani Westenra
Siblings: None
Extended Family: Grandparents: Faraji & Asha Westenra.
Relationship with Family: She adores her grandparents. Mostly because they spoil her. She thinks her parents are much too laid back and should be more proud of their pureblood status. She does, however, love them in her way.

HISTORY
General History: Though Zennah's parents were both born in Jamaica, they moved to London after they got married because they felt that London would be a better place to raise any children they would have. So Zennah was born about a year after the move, and she was spoiled from day one. This little Slytherin was always given what she wanted without having to work too hard for it. Her parents are both purebloods as is her entire family. Her parents have never really had to work, but her mother likes children, so she works in a child-care center for magical children. Her father is an investment banker, so he knows well how to handle money. They are quite proud of their daughter and support her in everything she does.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Zennah tapped her foot impatiently as she waited in the Great Hall for her name to be called. She would be in Slytherin, of course, there was no doubt about that, despite the fact that she would be the first in her family to go to Hogwarts. Why would she want to be in any other house? The Gryffindors just looked so...vapid. Like excited dogs. She snorted and rolled her eyes. The Hufflepuffs just looked like worker bees in all that black and yellow. Drones waiting for a queen to follow. Well, they wouldn't be gaining her as queen. Ravenclaws with their noses stuck in books. Studying was important, but it was not all there was to life. No, Zennah had her eye on Slytherin, the green and silver appealing to her fashionable side.

Finally her name was called. She smirked and sashayed her way to the stool, sitting on it and smiling. The Sorting Hat was placed on her head and she was just a bit startled to hear the voice. "So you know what you want, do you? Well, let's not hesitate, shall we? SLYTHERIN!"

Zennah grinned. Her parents would be proud of her as she slipped off the stool and walked proudly to the Slytherin table.

Boggart: Zennah's greatest fear is spiders. When she was a child, she was climbing a tree and accidentally stumbled upon a nest of spiders. Before she could get away, they were all over her and it's been her biggest fear ever since.

Mirror of Erised: If she stumbled upon the mirror, Zennah would see herself changing shape. Her greatest desire is to be an Animagus because it's always been her dream. Her parents had a friend that was one and since then she's wanted to study to be an Animagus.

EXTRA CREDIT
Patronus: If she could cast a Patronus, it would probably be in the form of her cat. He might not look like much but he will do anything in his power to protect her and he is her best friend.

Greatest Treasure: Zennah's greatest treasure is her cat, Vaudun. She raised him from a kitten and he has been her constant companion since she was about eight. Vaudun is also protective of Zennah and doesn't like for anyone he doesn't know to get close to her.

Manner of Dress: Zennah is always neat in her dress. In fact, she's neat in everything she does.

Favorite Class: Transfiguration. She is fascinated by turning things into something else.

Worst Class: Muggle Studies. She does not see the point.

There's no proof that hags can even mate with humans, unfortunately, so Aglaia couldn't have hags realistically in her bloodline. o : But it could be something her great great aunt told to scare her o :

Name: Aglaia Caitriona Halloran
Gender: female
Birthday: October 31st
House: Gryffindor
Blood Status: Half Blood
Wand: Hawthorne, dragon heartstring core, 13 inches, quite springy
Wand Hand:
Right
More on Wand:Hawthorn – Hawthorn is one of the three sacred Irish trees (along with Oak and Ash) and its wands have what could be considered a dual personality. They produce strong spells for those to which they belong. Equally effective for Dark magic as it is for good, the possessor of this wand has the potential to wield great power. The duplicity of legend runs deep in the wood of the Hawthorn and therefore it is excellent for protective and defensive magic as well as Charms. Those who possess this wand usually have strong powers of divination and heightened intuition.
Hawthorn’s personality is passionate.

Wands with Dragon Heartstring cores are excellent for hexes, or for dueling, not to mention fire magic. They tend to choose a witch or wizard who is strong not only physically, but also emotionally, and who usually has very strong opinions on things, though they often tend to be strong willed and thickheaded as well

PERSONALITY
General:
Confident- Aglaia is very sure of herself and what she is capable of. She's satisfied with who she is and doesn't really pay mind to people who say otherwise. Her self worth is not tied up in what she has or what other people think.

Fierce- She is fiercely protective of her fellow house mates and friends, she won't allow others to put them down or get away with bullying them. If she's challenged she'll accept, she won't walk away from any fight. She sees that as being weak. This can at times prove to be bad for her, especially when there is a group of kids that could gang up on her.

Obstinate- Aglaia is as stubborn as a mule, seriously. When she makes up her mind about someone or something no amount of reasoning will change her mind. Any sort of sudden change is hard for her to accept. She will need a lot of time and exposure to an idea or new place before she can come to accept it.

Boy crazy- She can often fixate on a boy and follow him around, discretely of course, for ages before actually letting him know she likes him. When she's obsessed with a boy her grades, other activities and friendships will suffer greatly because of all the time she's spending following him around. She can often become stalker like if the boy doesn't return the feelings.
Habits: Gnaws on her fingernails when she's nervous. She grinds her teeth at night or when she's angry. The noise can be very noticeable.
When she's in a particularly happy mood she'll go around and smell random kid's hair.
Hobbies: Making jewelry, her mother sends her new materials whenever she runs out. She mostly makes them for friends or people she likes. She knits a little of everything. She's just started trying to knit socks. She likes to write poetry when she has spare time. She likes to give and get makeovers, she usually gives herself some when she wants to attract boys she likes.
Likes: Autumn weather, scarves, crafting, swimming, accessories, jeans, walking, dancing, boys, outdoor activities.
Dislikes:
Peaches, being ignored, bullies, Being stuck indoors because of bad weather, pesky little brothers.

FAMILY
Mother: Hollis (Gringold), 32, Halfblood, Hufflepuff
Father: Nyle Halloran, 38, Mixed Blood, Auror, Gryffindor
Siblings:
Breton Madoc Halloran, 8.
Cedric Murdock Halloran, 8.
Extended Family: *will work on later* A great great Aunt, Uncles, Aunts, lots of cousins.
Relationship with Family:

Aglaia, or Aggi as her family calls her has a very close knit family. They always tend to get too involved in each other's lives and are super nosy about everything. So when she has a chance to sneak off to get a moment for herself she'll jump on it. Not that she does it all the time.

She's rather proud of her fun and sometimes eccentric family and hates when others make fun of them. Her mother's strange manner of dress may be embarrassing and her father's ever changing hat collection seems to be bottomless and really quirky.

There's also the matter of her red headed twin brother's fascination with machines and their need to experiment on them One never knows whether the toeaster will belch fire or let loose a stream of sludge at breakfast.

And of course there's her Great Great aunt Gerta that Aggi believes to be part Hag, not that this is true. Aggi has a hard time knowing what Gerta tells her is true or just a joke..as she never changed her tone of voice. The worst thing is Aggi has to share a room with her. Try to sleep with Gerta's horrible snores and you'd go bonkers.

Aggi is close to everyone in her family; perhaps a bit closer to her Great Great Aunt cause Gerta lives in the same room as she does. She spends a lot of time helping care for the elder cantankerous old lady. She often wonders if Gerta is just acting at being an invalid.

HISTORY
General History:
Born in mid morning on the day of Halloween to mixed blood parents, the dark haired green-gray eyed baby was dubbed Aglaia Caitriona Halloran. She was rather big for Hollis' first child at 10 pounds 6 ounces and was 13 inches long. At first Nyle Halloran thought she might be showing off some of the giant blood that was in his ancestry, but when she didn't grow at an exceeding rate it was decided she was just a big baby.

She was not an easy first child for the new parents. She was constantly fussing and never really slept the whole night through. It wasn't until she hit 14 months that she began to sleep long periods of time. As a toddler she was constantly butting heads with her parents and was very willful. She never did understand the concept of "No" very well.

As she got older however, she mellowed out. She wasn't as demanding or as hyper. She would spend more time cuddling and being close to her parents, when at first she'd struggle to get away from them.

When she turned three and a half, her mother discovered she was pregnant with twins. Aglaia actually liked the idea of having siblings and would spend hours sitting with her head on her mother's stomach and trying to listen for any movements they might make. She'd even insist on singing to them and making her mother not move at all. She did her best to "care" for her mother when she was bed ridden for the last two months.

When her brothers were born and she saw them for the first time she was in awe. She'd touch their soft heads gently and croon songs to them to calm them down. She was a constant helper to her parents for the next year or so. Around the time they began to walk and get into her things she lost interest in them and started doing more stuff on her own.

She started school that fall and turned six a few month's later. She excelled rather well in making friends and did pretty well in class. She often would get in trouble for being too rough with the other kids or getting mad at kids who changed seats too often. She would also get in trouble for being too over affectionate with the boys in her class.

At nine years old, she started showing signs of having magic. If she got upset things in the room would explode or suddenly fly across the room. Her parents hated to withdraw her from a school that she loved but knew that it would only get worse. Thankfully she realized what was going on because her parents had always been up front with her about Magic.

She ended up attending classes with five other kids in the village to finish her elementary years. They like her, were starting to show signs of magic and couldn't really stop accidents from occurring. She had a lot of fun since the other kids were all boys and really enthralled with her. This is when she started to think more about her appearance and doing more about how she looked.

Aglaia was overjoyed when the owl arrived the evening of her birthday with her Hogwart's letter. Somehow, the poor owl had gotten lost and her letter had gotten delayed; She had been watching and waiting for it all day long. She ripped it open and danced happily around in her witch's costume singing, "I'm going to Hogarts" over and over. The other kids at her birthday party stared at her in envy and annoyance.

She was a bit miffed when she learned she'd have to wait an entire year before she could actually go to the school. At least it gave her and her family the time to plan a trip to England so they could get all her school supplies. Much to her dismay and annoyance, her Great-great Aunt Gerta insisted on going with them.

When they finally got to England, in June of the next year they spent time touring and seeing as many sights as they could. Aglaia was rather alarme and annoyed to learn that her parents' were planning on moving everyone to England. She was not very happy that part of the vacation was spent looking at homes. She was somewhat placated when they told her she'd have a vote on what house they bought. After looking at a dozen or so houses they finally found the perfect one.

From the outside it looked very much like the house they had left in Ireland but once you stepped inside it was three times as vast. It had six bedrooms and three bathrooms..which was a definite plus from their last home. Now she could have her own room but she'd have to share a bathroom with her Great-great Aunt Gerta.

The rest of the summer was spent moving the rest of their belongings from Ireland to t heir new home. Finally by the middle of August everyone was moved in. Aglaia rather liked her new room, but was a bit sad that she wouldn't get to enjoy it all that much, since she'd be leaving for Hogwart's in two weeks. She spent the rest of her summer working on some knitted scarves for her brothers' and her father. She was able to finish them; with a little help, the night before she left.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting:
Aglaia waiting with her arms crossed and her left foot tapping impatiently. What was the reason for all this sorting business? It's not like it really mattered. She could have told you that she'd be a Gryffindor..since she took so much after her father. It wasn't bloodly likely that she'd get put in Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Well..there was always that chance she could be put in Hufflepuff but that was kind of far fetched for her because she was much more suited for Gryffindor, everyone in her family had said so.

And finally her name was called, "Aglaia Caitriona Halloran."
With a sigh of relief she stepped up the marble steps and climbed up onto the stool. Gosh, was this unnecessary, she should have just asked for them to put the hat on her head. It would have been over in seconds instead of minutes that way.

She wrinkled her nose at the slight dusky smell of the old hat as it was placed on her head. Great..now she'd have to wash her hair again. She hated it smelling like anything other than the cherry pomegranate scented shampoo she loved to use.

"Well now you are right, you're definitely a Gryffindor." The hat spoke to her.

Aglaia grinned, "Yes so I am. No need to draw this out dear old hat." She whispered back.

"Well then by all means, GRYFFINDOR!" The hat shouted out.

With a happy grin, Aglaia jumped down from the stool and made her way over to the rejoicing Gryffindor table. She happily accepted the shaking hands and the welcomes from the other Gryffindors as she took her seat. It was definitely going to be a fun seven years in this House.

Boggart: Aglaia's boggart would be a hag. She knows there are hags in her ancestry somewhere, mostly because her Great-Great Aunt Gerta has said so. So when the boggart is in front of her, she sees herself with a bulbous nose, warts, and green slimy teeth. When she uses her Patronus against it, the hag's warts turn into toadstools and her nose becomes a carrot.

Mirror of Erised:
Aglaia was still rather surprised that she had found the room of requirement. She continued to walk around admiring the strange and exciting items that were stored in the room. Her eyes alighted on a tall item that was covered by a long white sheet. Her curiousity now piqued, she grabbed hold of the sheet and pulled it up to see what was underneath it.

The shiny surface of a mirror gleamed as her candle flame hit it. Aglaia pulled the sheet off to get a closer look. She was momentarily stunned when she caught sight of the familiar faces of her younger twin brothers in the mirror. They were a bit older, but she could recognize them readily enough. After a moment of staring she realized her appearance had aged a bit, and that her two brothers were glancing at her affectionately.

What was going on? Why were they looking at her that way? They normally never had time for her nor did she think they thought kindly of her. Mostly because she was always ragging them out about one of the experimentations.

EXTRA CREDIT

Patronus: Aglaia gripped her wand tightly as the boggart began to spin and morph into a figure in front of her. Oh no, it had turned into a hag! A hag that looked a lot like her. Gritting her teeth, she brandished her wand and yelled, "Expecto Patronum!" A silvery muskrat popped out of the stream of magic and whirled around the Boggart, changing it's features ever so slightly and Aglaia couldn't help but laugh. The hag, was now a female scarecrow with button eyes, mushrooms on her face in place of the moles and a carrot nose!

Greatest Treasure: Her knitting needle set her mother and Great Great Aunt gave her. It's got circular needles (for hats), double pointed needles (For socks and hats) and long ones for scarves.

Manner of Dress: When not in her school uniform or not trying to attract the attention of boys, Aglaia wears clothes that are comfortable. She's got these super soft white and gray jeans that she wears all the time. She's got her favorite scarf that her mother made for her out of gray cashmere that she wears when it's cool outdoors, though sometimes she'll just wear it because she feels like it.

Favorite Class: Divination, She actually has a talent for it, much to her surprise. She supposes it's because of her heritage. It can sometimes scare her with how accurate it is.

Worst Class: Potions, she just can't seem to get them to come out right. She somehow tends to hurry through mixing potions..and often makes them explode.

The Feeling Is Gone
Crew

ACCEPTED by Charmaine Kitteridge

GENERAL
Name: Leoben Seth Linwood
Gender: Male
Birthday: March 27th
House: Gryffindor
Blood Status: Half Blood
Wand:Maple With Dragon Heartstring, twelve and a half inches, supple
Wand Hand: Right

PERSONALITY
General: At first, Leoben appears intimidating--he's tall and fairly built for his age and tends to have the most expressionless or bored looks in classes. Sometimes, it even looks like he's constantly angry so normally, he isn't very approachable. Luckily, he usually isn't the one being approached--Leoben is in truth very friendly and involved and more than likely, he'll be the one approaching others. He's the type of person who likes to rope everyone into one thing, even if he might not know the other person. Whatever he sets his mind to, Leoben is ridiculously gung-ho about the whole thing and that feeling tends to be contagious.

Leoben does have a fault in this though, the way he treats everyone is the same and he can be oblivious of other people's feelings--he doesn't realize that the kindness he offers could ever be taken in a different way.

Besides this, Leoben has a bad reputation for getting into fights. While he generally won't throw the first punch, this doesn't mean he's by any means a peaceful person. Because he's so fearless, he can unintentionally egg people on and push their buttons even further. He's also very impulsive--and that with his strange lack of self preservation--makes for a dangerous combination (mostly for himself).
Habits: Leoben has a bad habit of cracking his fingers, his back, and just about every part of his body when he's bored.
Hobbies: Since he was a little kid, Leoben's parents amused his interest in fighting (a wee bit too much, actually). He was always rough-housing with his older family members and his brother--finally, his parents decided to route all that physical strength in something that wouldn't cause many injuries for the rest of the family. They signed him him up for a variety of muggle fighting classes--his favorite, though, is boxing--specifically kickboxing. He stayed in those classes until his magic started acting up--then his parents pulled him from contact sports and amused him at the house by enchanting fighting dummies.
Likes: Leoben likes being active--whether its indoors or outdoors, it doesn't really matter to him. He likes participating in competitive sports, quidditch included. Not only is he one of those kids who gets far too involved in just about any sort of competition, but also likes helping people. As silly as it sounds, Leoben is more than happy to assist someone in help.
Dislikes: Leoben doesn't like standing still or really being quiet--though he does what he must to succeed in classes, he doesn't enjoy studying nor is really the most attentive student. While he doesn't sleep in his classes, often times, he's zoned out beyond belief. Besides in academics, Leoben doesn't handle well with bullies--mostly because he's insanely protective of just about everyone, not to mention his family. If he sees someone being teased, he's going to speak out or even punch the aggressors.

FAMILY
Mother: Magda Linwood, 46, Muggle, Stay at home mother
Father: Carigan Linwood, 56, Pure Blood, Wizard, Ravenclaw
Siblings: Leoben is triplets with Maergrethe and Liam. He has, along with this, a rather large family.
• Harris Linwood, 21, Pure Blood, Auror *Half brother* Ravenclaw
• Challis Linwood, 19, Pure Blood, Wildlife Photographer *half brother* Slytherin
• Orin Linwood, 15, Half Blood, Ravenclaw
• Tristan Linwood, 13, Half Blood, Gryffindor
• Leoben Linwood, 11, Gryffindor
• Liam Osiris Linwood, 11, Half Blood, Hufflepuff
• Maergrethe Rei Linwood, 11, Half Blood, Ravenclaw
• Casius Linwood, 9, Half Blood, Primary Education
Extended Family: Carigan's parents are deceased and Magda's aren't involved much with the Linwood family.
Relationship with Family: The Linwood family is very close knit, it's no wonder that Leoben is close with every single one of them. Of course, he is particularly close with Liam and Maer, much more than the other kids. They have a sort of 6th sense bond with one another--Leoben feels anxious when either of them are in trouble. While he's protective of everyone in his family, it's very much the case with Liam and Maer and even more so with his younger brother Casius.

HISTORY
General History: It's doubtful that any parent actually expect twins--let alone triplets. When Liam, Leoben, and Maergrethe came into this world, they were an excessive handful. The Linwood parents now had three new babies to care for--perhaps it wouldn't have been so bad if the triplets weren't so in tune with each other. When one started crying, it was only seconds until the other two were getting all snotty and teary as well. Even with the other older siblings caring for them, these triplets would sap away everyone's energy by the end of hte day.

And it wasn't like they got any easier when they got older. With Maergrethe as the ringleader (Liam and Leoben being all too willing of followers), they got into almost continuous trouble. They came back with scuff knees and broken bones time and time again--so often that Leoben stopped crying about the pain and just started showing all of his bumps, bruises, dislocations, and even some breaks, as some sort of trophy. In actuality, it was a one way ticket to a new swarm of attention and he knew it.

While Maergrethe became more rebellious in their toddler years, Leoben stopped following his sister and began doing more of his own thing. It started with hanging out with his older siblings, asking them to wrestle with him. This fed his interest in fighting--which, since he seemed to be breaking less bones fighting than following Maer around, his parents invested in. He began going to muggle fighting classes, and despite often times playing too roughly with the kids his age, Leoben was ultimately successful.

Until his magic started appearing (his punches started hitting people a little bit too hard and, on one occasion, he did a flying kick), Leoben was perfectly happy. But after the muggles started suspecting something, his parents pulled him out of his fighting classes and just started enchanting his fighting dummies. He was content with this for a while, until his parents sent Maer off to boarding school. While she was gone, Leoben started becoming destructive. He could feel how much Maer loathed being there and he didn't know any way to channel that besides breaking things--because as much as he tried to explain the feeling to his parents, they wouldn't take him seriously enough. When Maer came home, however, Leoben calmed down in a heartbeat and went back to his (mostly) peaceful ways.

A little bit later, his letter to Hogwarts came--carried by the same owl as his sibling's.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: It didn't take long to realize that Leoben would be the first of his siblings to be called up--after all, they were going in alphabetical order. He really didn't feel much pressure, though. His father was pretty open to any house--so were all of his siblings, really. As much as Leoben wanted to be in Ravenclaw like his father, he knew that house wouldn't serve him at all. Merlin's Beard, he wouldn't be able to get into the common room by himself ever and Leoben knew he wasn't cut out for seven years of that torture! It was more of Maer's things than his.

The poll at home placed him in Gryffindor and that seemed pretty accurate. But in truth, Leoben was fine with any house. Whichever house the sorting hat placed him in, Leoben would brave it like any of the others.

"Leoben Linwood," One of the Professors called out.

Before heading up to the stool, Leoben turned around to his siblings and saluted them, a huge grin as he did. "See you losers on the other side!"

From there, Leoben trotted up--taking the steps in threes--to the sorting hat. "Pick my poison," he welcomed the sorting hat, looking up at it with easy eyes. Was that a smirk I saw? Leoben wondered as the sorting hat's rims narrowed his vision. Before the hat was even completely on him, a large bellow emerged, "GRYFFINDOR!"

From there, Leoben ran down to the Gryffindor table in a sprint--aiming for one person. With a magnificent side tackle, he took down his older brother Tristan. "Orin owes you a galleon now!"

Boggart: Leoben would like to say he wasn't afraid of anything--but there was something very real to him... He knew what exactly it would be before the boggart even came out.

The dark form twisted and distorted into two dark red figures on the ground. He could faintly see Liam's blonde hair and a speck of Maer's brown beneath all that blood. Leoben clenched his fist--feeling pure rage. "Ridukulous!" He growled, snapping his wand out at the boggart.

Within seconds, the dark form was transforming again. This time, there were just two figures standing before him. "These two are ridiculous enough for me," Leoben explained with a smirk, seeing his siblings portrayed in front of him.

Mirror of Erised: Was he a simpleton? "Weird, the mirror's broken?" Leoben wondered aloud--he had heard that this mirror showed his greatest desires (and Leoben was curious--he didn't even know what his own desire was!) But he didn't see anything besides himself. "I'll have to tell Maer that she was wrong," Leoben mumbled to himself with a shrug, leaving the mirror and its dusty room behind.

Notes:

1.) Eww the owlry is a terrible napping location. XD
2.) teehee Montressor cB
3.) I almost want to see the effects of their mother's death a little more, or perhaps have it develop later. Separation anxiety and the like. Maybe Jericho becomes clingy towards friends he develops a strong attachment to, for fear that they'll leave him for someone they like more. (Sort of how a young kid might interpret their mother giving up their life for a baby they don't know, when they really need her the most.)

GENERAL
Name: Jericho Neil Gibbon (may possibly end up going by 'Jeri')
Gender: Male
Birthday: July 20
House: Hufflepuff
Blood Status: Half-blood
Wand: Ebony with unicorn core, 14 1/4 inches, Rigid
Wand Hand: Right

PERSONALITY User Image
General: This boy is quiet and of few words. However, this doesn't necessarily make him introverted. He just prefers to speak and interact with others through his actions so he doesn't 'waste' words. He likes to keep things concise and simple, especially to avoid misunderstandings. Unfortunately, this also makes Jericho bluntly honest - often times to the point of rudeness. However, he does not intentionally mean to be and tends to be oblivious to any feelings he may hurt unless someone voices them to him. He won't know he's being rude or tactless unless he's told so and this makes him somewhat socially awkward.

He's not particularly book-smart, but he does his best at all his subjects whether or not he likes them. This by no means meant that he was a perfect student, however. There isn't any particular class he seems to have a natural talent for (unless Astrology counts, but it's not so much talent as it comes from years of star-gazing with his siblings) so he has to work hard in all of them. Like most other students, Jeri's memory isn't perfect, he's not always on time to class, he forgets assignments or tests, and every now and then he might fall asleep during a teacher's lecture. Once in a while he would miss-read a spell or mess up the ingredients in a potion. Magical though he may be, he's still a human and therefore makes mistakes. Still, he never means to do so intentionally and will often try to make up for his shortcomings.

The boy is of the mindset that while natural talent is nice, those who lack it can still succeed if they make a good enough effort. As long as there is a chance or an opportunity to do well, Jericho will take it. While he knows he isn't particularly brave, intelligent, or ambitious, he is patient enough to take his time and have faith that his commitment and diligence will eventually pay off. He truly believes in the idea that while innate, natural talent can get you pretty far, hard work can get you anywhere.

Jericho won't tattle on anyone he sees doing wrong, but if they so happen to be bullying or harassing someone else, he will step in. He tries to avoid being physical or aggressive if possible, preferring to endure whatever might befall him, but he will use physical force if necessary. He will not, however, engage in unauthorized magic attacks, especially not outside of an official wizard duel. As he is patient and tolerant, he's the type to quietly take a beating until his opposers are satisfied. Though, in the case of an equal, fair fight between houses, students, or otherwise, Jericho will not take sides. He believes all houses are equal with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Though slightly tall for his age, Jeri is fairly muscular, so his body isn't all that slim or lanky. He's pretty dense physically, so he weighs more than most. Not only does he pride himself on being tolerant of others mentally and emotionally, but he derives some satisfaction from the fact that he's pretty durable physically as well and can take a few hits. He might be able to dish out a few of his own as well, but he prefers not to use violence or aggression when it can be avoided - magic-wise or physically. On the other hand, he doesn't really make an effort to work out, so he isn't exactly made of brawn, either. All his strength is simply the result of doing a lot of housework and picking up after his siblings and father over the course of several years.

Jeri has almost no concern at all for his physical appearance. He does do his best to adhere to the school standards of dress and uniform, but that is the extent to which he will trouble himself. His disregard for his looks is easily exemplified in the appearance of his bushy, thick afro of ivory hair. Supposedly, just a few days before he was leaving for Hogwarts one of his younger siblings unintentionally messed it up (due to their wild magic as untrained children). This might have been caused by any anxiety, fear, or anger they might have felt at the news that Jericho was leaving for Hogwarts and that Aunt Jackie was going to take care of them in the meantime.

Their distress hadn't accumulated enough to manifest itself until that evening when their big brother was commanding them to go to bed and they didn't want to sleep. As they were arguing with him (Tatum through gestures, Jade through words), Jeri's naturally curly, ivory-blonde hair suddenly expanded into a full-grown afro. None of the siblings know exactly whether it was Tatum or Jade who caused the sudden, unexpected growth of hair, but both (perhaps out of guilt) quickly went to bed without a fuss after that.

However, Jericho never seemed too bothered by the random act of magic as it was perfectly harmless and used it instead to remind his siblings that they would be joining him at Hogwarts soon enough. Perhaps it serves as a reminder to him of his precious siblings and he secretly likes it that way. Maybe he just hasn't wanted to attempt to do away with it until he's mastered the right spell. Whatever the reason, he has yet to return it to its natural state and doesn't seem in all that much of a hurry to do so.

One reason Jericho may not be concerned about his looks is because he doesn't really care how he is perceived by others. He isn't aware of any reputation he's expected to protect and this Hufflepuff isn't going to waste time trying to correct anyone who comes to the wrong conclusions about him. He figures that if others really wanted to know the truth about him instead of speculating or believing rumors, then they could ask him themselves and get the truth straight from the source. He's got a very metaphorically thick skin, so it's very difficult to insult Jeri. The only reason someone's critical opinions of him might make him change his ways is if it's something he can do to improve himself and become a better person. For the most part, however, he is pretty steadfast in his beliefs and ideals of what is truly important.

Another possible reason that this student doesn't seem to concern himself with superficial appearances - neither his own nor others' - is because he is colorblind to the extent of seeing everything in gray-scale. He has long since given up on trying to distinguish the difference between certain colors of his own clothing, let alone things like a Gryffindor student's colors from a Ravenclaw's. In particular, Jeri cannot tell white from yellow, red from orange, green from blue, or dark purple from black. For this reason he likes having ample light to see things better by and why he may be so opposed to darkness, where everything is all black. This also may attribute to his idea of fairness because not only does he believe all houses are equal, but he literally percieves them as equal while all in gray.

Habits: Because of his colorblindness, Jeri has difficulty distinguishing things like certain ingredients for potions and teams in Quidditch games. While this can make life difficult and occasionally cause his teachers to wonder or worry about his mental capacity, some might actually come to realize the truth in time. While Jericho understood from a young age that something was wrong, he resolved not to let it bother him because he didn't believe there was anything to be done about it and he didn't see it as a major problem. His mother never knew and his father has yet to realize this, but his siblings know and often had fun taking advantage of this fact (like when they switched the socks in his drawer or gave him crayons and asked him to color for them). He isn't likely to tell his teachers about it because, again, he doesn't see it as much of a hindrance. Furthermore, there is no spell that he knows of to cure colorblindness.

This Hufflepuff is a boy of few words and many actions. To comfort someone, he will more likely offer a hug or a shoulder to cry on than attempt to speak and risk making things worse through his lack of tact. If he sees an injustice being done, he would likely step in and act first, ask questions later. Sadly, despite his best efforts to convey himself through his behaviors while being direct and simple, miscommunication tends to be common without much use of speech. For example, though he might attempt to rescue a student being 'attacked' by another, he might fail to realize that the two are flirting in their own way, or maybe practicing for a play. He tries to keep his ears open to listen as well as observe, but if he thinks someone is in danger, he'll act regardless of what he's perceived. He's a fan of quotes like "Speak softly and carry a big stick", "Actions speak louder than words", "Speech is silver, but Silence is golden", and "Talent will get you far, but hard work will get you anywhere".

Jeri tends to stay up late, perhaps as result of tansient insomnia. This type of insomnia lasts for less than a week and be caused by another disorder, by changes in the sleep environment, by the timing of sleep, severe depression, or by stress. Its consequences – sleepiness and impaired psychomotor performance – are similar to those of sleep deprivation. This is often why he ends up falling asleep in class.

He cannot concentrate on working very well during the day with other students around, so when it comes to free time, he normally spends it catching up on his rest through naps to refresh himself. By the time he wakes up, it's often night and he's most active then. He can concentrate better when it's quiet and his late hours working have made Lumos one of his favorite spells to use because of his love of lighting. This habit may have resulted from waiting for his siblings to fall asleep before cleaning up the day's worth of messes they made. It would also explain why he can concentrate better when it's quiet and no one is around to disturb or distract him.

Because he's brutally honest to the point of rudeness, Jericho often ends up accidentally upsetting others and can find it hard to make friends since he isn't used to having any. He can't tell people what they want to hear because he's not used to doing so with his younger siblings, so he's firm about his opinions and stands by them without regret despite the possible consequences. He acts like he doesn't know how to lie, but due to his quiet nature, he won't say anything unless asked, even if someone has cheated on a test or done something else harmless that it isn't his duty to prevent.

Jericho, like other Hufflepuffs, values fairness. He realizes that "fairness is not treating everyone the same, but treating people based on their needs". The only problem is the only people whose needs he's familiar with are his own and his family's, so it might be a while before he realizes what people want to be treated like and why. Until he comes to know someone better and they come to be direct with him about their needs and preferences, he treats all strangers the same.

Hobbies: He likes taking naps and sleeping in his spare time when he isn't studying so that he can concentrate better on doing things at night. Jeri practices spells and does most of his homework at this time. He also enjoys going out and looking at the night sky.

When Jeri is finished with his schoolwork, along with taking it upon himself to cleaning up his common room while everyone else is asleep. House elves sometimes encounter him during these times and silent battles of willpower may commence.

He can often be found in the Owlrey on the top of Hogwarts Castle's West Tower because he writes to his aunt and family every day. Sometimes he ends up napping there while waiting for a reply or simply if he's too tired to go all the way back down to the Hufflepuff Basement common room when he's done.

Likes: honesty, directness, gazing at the night sky, quiet, passionate people who put their all into their work, fairness, dedication, owls (particularly the Barred Eagle Owl, which he is fascinated with), naps
Dislikes: misunderstandings, people who talk too much, those who judge based on superficial looks, those who consider themselves either inferior or superior to others, realizing he's done something that unintentionally hurt someone

FAMILY
Mother: Alice White Gibbon (Half-blood) Diseased; used to attend Beauxbatons
Father: Montressor Gibbon (Half-blood) used to attend Hogwarts, Hufflepuff House
Siblings: Younger brother, Tatum Gibbon [born mute] (9 yrs, Half-blood); Younger sister, Jade Gibbon (7 yrs, Half-blood)
Extended Family: Aunt on mother's side, Jackie White (Half-blood) who also used to attend Beauxbatons with her sister, Alice.
Relationship with Family: (Might be better to read his general history first.)

Because of his mother's early death and his father's general lack of involvement in his life, Jericho is silent and tactless when it comes to interacting with others. He was not taught how to be considerate if people didn't tell him what they wanted directly. This made him terrible at taking hints, reading between the lines, or picking up clues in conversations.

Aunt Jackie is helpful when she comes around, but Jeri thinks of her more as an older sister than a mother due to her wishy-washy attitude, scatter-brained mind, unreliability, and lack of tact. However, the fact that she tries is enough to show him that she loves their family. The fact that she even quit her job in order to take care of his family while he's at Hogwarts means the world to him and he recognizes it as the act of an adult. He greatly respects and is grateful to her because of this, though he hopes to make it up to her when he's finished with school and is in a position to support them all.

Since Jerico was forced to practically raise his siblings, he had to be more of a parent than an older brother to them and thus could not be as close to them as he would have liked. Giving parental commands and making his younger siblings do necessary things they didn't want to do often made them angry with him. He can't say he's actually angry at his father for this role since he took it on himself, but he hasn't really forgiven Montressor for neglectng his children, either. To Jeri, his father is practically as dead to him as his mother.

Still, he learned how to bear that anger and endure, teaching himself to become a tolerant and patient person in order to be a good replacement for their absent-minded father. Thus, even when his siblings whined and pleaded with him or talked back, he knew he had to remain strong and firm, yet gentle and affectionate at the same time. He found it a difficult balance to maintain and he's still working on it.

Jericho's his younger brother, Tatum, was born mute, so Jeri had to learn how to use sign language as well as teach Tatum. He and Tatum also learned how to use a lot of body language to read each other and Jade gradually picked up on it as well. She doesn't know how to sign very well, but due to how close she and Tatum are, she can generally act as his translator by interperting his expressions, behaviors, and actions. Despite being mute, Tatum is very active, enthusiastic, and expressive, acting as the sunshine of the family when everyone else is low or upset. He usually knows just what to do to cheer someone up.

As far as Jade, Jericho is still doing all he can to understand his little sister, but as she is the only girl in their family, he's finding it hard to know how to deal with her. Tatum can usually calm her down when she's emotional or upset, because Jericho seems clueless at times like these and doesn't know what to say when a hug just won't cut it. He's learned through Tatum that Jade blames herself for their mother's death and, through that, their father's absent state of mind and the role of parent being forced onto Jericho. He feels deeply for Jade, but does not know in what way to convey this appropriately because she seems so sensitive. He trusts the cheerful and hyper Tatum to do so for him.

Because of his younger siblings, Jeri can communicate very directly and honestly tell people what he thinks if asked his opinion. Since he's used to being the authority figure of his household, Jeri doesn't usually feel guilty about what he says, be it negative or positive. He never had to have that kind of filter when he was being direct with his family, so hasn't yet figured out how to treat strangers, but he's learning.

The boy's family is his main motivation in life and he doesn't want to let them down. Some of his goals besides being a better protecter and caretaker of his siblings are to find a way to give Tatum a voice and to help his father snap out of his grief. He hopes to educate himself at Hogwarts and become the best wizard he can in order to do so.

HISTORY
General History: Though Jeri's mother and aunt were born and raised in France where they , she met his father on a trip to England and the two settled down to marry and have kids. When Jericho was 4 and Tatum was 2, Alice was giving birth to their third child, but was having complications. The muggle doctors did what they could, but by the time her sister Jackie arrived with other medical witches to help, Alice had lost too much blood. At that point, there was only so much even magic could do.

The muggle medics at the time had offered Alice the decision to spare Alice's life or the baby's, but Alice would have none of it and chose Jade over herself. Her husband, Montressor, had been away on a trip at the time, as the baby wasn't supposed to be due for another few months, but he was contacted by Jackie and appariated as fast as he could. Due to his stress, he lost an arm in his haste, but was much more distraught by the news that his wife had died and that he hadn't been there, nor had a say in her decision.

Since then, Montressor was never the same and hardly practiced magic any more. He seemed to be in a constant daze, forcing Jericho to care for and raise his younger siblings on his own. Their Aunt Jackie helped the family out every now and then when she could, but the woman was pretty scatter-brained and was having a hard time keeping her own life in order. As such, Jackie was no replacement mother being as unreliable as she was. She and Jericho did their best to allow Montressor time to grieve, but the wizard never fully recovered. Then Jericho got his letter from Hogwarts and choices had to be made. Aunt Jackie quit her job in order to take care of Tatum and Jade while Jericho attended school.

Jericho has been very grateful to her for this. Despite Jackie's shortcomings, he knows she does her best and that she's gotten better over the years, which was enough for him be okay with leaving Tatum and Jade in her care. Jackie promised to take good care of them, knowing how loyal and devoted Jericho was and hoping that he would return to be a better 'man of the house'. She already feels sorry that she wasn't much of a mother to the children because she knows that the kids never really grew up with as much of the love and nuturing they deserved. Jericho continues to mail his aunt every day to ask how his family is doing.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: "Gibbon, Jericho."

Jericho sat on the stool without a word, his expression impassive despite the hall of faces focused on him. He didn't fear attention, but he didn't relish it either. He just needed to be patient so the hat could make its decision. Maybe it would be easier for it if he tried to clear his mind...

"HUFFLEPUFF!" the hat shouted, announcing this so suddenly and loudly that he nearly fell off his seat. Well, he hadn't expected the decision to be made that fast. Was he really so easy to read?

Yet Jeri's main concern as he headed toward the Hufflepuff table wasn't that he was readable. Stony-faced and impassive, the First Year remembered with some apprehension that Montressor had also been a Hufflepuff at Hogwarts.

The last thing Jericho Gibbon wanted to grow up to be like was his father.

Boggart: The Boggart would probably envelope him in a shroud of pitch-black, total darkness where he would be able to see nothing. It should be noted that Jericho's true fear is that of the unknown, though darkness symbolizes this (just as Harry Potter's fear of Dementors suggested that he feared fear itself). Many people who are afraid of the dark may realize that it is not the dark itself they fear, but what might be hidden from them within it.

Jeri reacts to his fear by freezing in place until it either goes away or he feels slightly less and less afraid until he has the courage to move (and perhaps cast the appropriate charm). His Riddikulus charm would probably be the dispelling of the darkness by the light of a pull-string light bulb in order to illuminate his two younger siblings caught in the act of trying to scare him.

Mirror of Erised: His family together, grown, happy, and able to support themselves successfully. His mother would still be alive, his aunt would have learned how to be a responsible adult, his father would have returned to his old, motivated self, Tatum would have been able to speak, and Jade would have no reason to blame herself.

Birthday: March 27th
House: Ravenclaw
Blood Status: Mixed Blood
Wand: Cherry wood, Unicorn hair, 16 inches, Swishy
Wand Hand: left

More on Wand:Cherry: A wood of femininity. Draws off the element of earth. Used for healing, romance, and Binding spells. Seeks a harmonic companion. Excellent for Divination.

Unicorn Hair: The unicorn is a creature of mystery and beauty. Gentle yet powerful, ancient yet pure, a strand of its hair is a wise choice for one who wishes to cast healing and protection spells. It has long been thought that unicorns protected the forest creatures, nurturing and overseeing plants, flowers, and trees. This core would make an excellent companion to woods that draw from the element of earth.

PERSONALITY
General:
Stubborn
When she gets something stuck in her head, there is no arguing with her about it, she's not going to change her mind, even if what she wants to do might be dangerous. It's like trying to reason with a mule. You'll end up with something hurt and a dreadful headache.

Friendly
When she wants to be, Maergrethe can be really friendly. She's interested in people and how they live and has no qualms about asking hundreds of questions to find out more about people. She loves to hang out with a person for however long it takes to figure them out, then she might gravitate to a new person once she's accomplished it. While she's friendly..she has no time for cliques or gossiping. She finds it boring..and way too beneath her.

Energetic
Boy is she energetic! She loves playing games with boys because then she has the excuse to kick up her heels and play hard. Growing up with a lot of brothers has given her a hardier stamina and she can play much longer than a normal girl. This also means that it takes a lot to wear her out. Even when her sleep is limited she has no problem waking up cheery and ready to play hard the next morning. Her boundless limit of energy and cheery attitude in the morning can be a mite annoying at times. And cause others to want to tie her up and shove her in a closet.

Flirty- She's loves to flirt with guys and girls. Strangely she finds it funny to see girl's reactions when she flirts with them. While she's just playing at liking them at the moment, she does have some underlying attraction to other girls..which seems a bit odd to her.

Habits: Wrinkling her nose,

Relationship with Family:

Maergrethe is really close to her mother, mostly because they are the only females in the family. They spend a lot of time shopping and cooking, though Maer is kind of a clutz in the kitchen. She's still working on getting better at cooking though.

Since her father is constantly bringing sick animals into the house, all the kids are really good with helping him care for them. While it's normally magical animals he deals with he also tends to help ordinary animals as well and they've all had a hand in it. Maergrethe likes animals and all, but she often gets impatient with them and dislikes how dirty they can get her clothes.

She is closest to her brothers, probably because they are triplets. They sort of have this sixth sense with one another and always seem to know when one of the others is in trouble or hurt. They spend a lot of time playing these elaborate war games, and despite her protests, Maer is often used as the hostage of one of them.

Maer has had a hand in helping raise her younger brother Casius and spend a lot of time with him when her mother is busy with household things. She'll often be found reading stories aloud to him or playing puzzles and other board games with him.

HISTORY
Growing Up
Life inside the Linwood mansion is normally semi controlled chaos on a good day. This pretty much means anything and everything can happen within the blink of an eye. Thankfully, the family has learned how to laugh at things and to store breakable items far from the reach of little boys hands and antics.

As for Maergrethe; she's considered one of the boys despite her being a girl. This is not what her parents had intended, but they are rather pleased with how she is turning out. Sure so she could work on her rebellious and stubborn nature but they're sure she will eventually grow out of it.

Every older Linwood child has been put in charge of one of the younger ones, thus insuring that they learn responsibility and problem solving. This has helped immensely in keeping the children in line as well as not becoming spoiled.

While they aren't poor; with the amount of people in their immediate family they aren't particularly rich either. They have learned to make due with what they get and to use other means to entertain themselves. The children will often spend weeks planning elaborate talent shows or plays and put them on for their parents and the younger kids.

General History: Maergrethe Rei Linwood and her brothers, were born on March 27th. She was the first of the three and the only daughter to be born to the Linwood family. She came into the world kicking and screaming and demanding attention, and she hasn't stopped yet. She learned how that to get attention she'd have to not only talk the loudest but do the craziest things as well.

Life in the Linwood family has been loud, lively, and chaotic at times, especially with Maer around. Her brothers are rambunctious enough, but Maer can be downright wild. Which isn't always the best for the House, yard or pets. She takes great pride in attempting to outdo her brothers at everything they does, as well as two of her older brothers. She tends to lead her younger brothers into the worst trouble that can be imagined. There have been a few broken bones, concussions, and sprained joints thanks to Maer's wild games.

To try and tame her, at the age of 9, her parents sent her off to an all girl's boarding school that specialized in etiquette training. After spending two months at the place, and being disciplined rather harshly for her wild ways, Maer decided to take matters into her own hands. It wasn't a pretty sight..and the school officials were forced to close it down because of the damage she had inflicted. No charges were brought against her because of the treatment she had undergone was illegal and downright wrong. Her family sued the teachers' for what they had done, but it didn't really help Maer all that much.

Maegrethe bounced back from the ordeal rather easily, and hasn't really talked about it since. Probably because she doesn't want people to think that she's ever been unhappy. She's gotten slightly less wild and reserved, but that doesn't last that long around her family.

Since she's always been surrounded by magic and magical creatures, Maer has always wanted to be a witch, or enchantress. Magic is like a forbidden fruit to her, if she's told she can't do a spell or enchantment she will try even harder until she's mastered it. This kind of gets her in trouble, it doesn't make things very easy on her family, what with an Auror living next door. Maer is often being punished for using magic rather often.

She was ecstatic when she received her letter from Hogwarts, and looks forward to being able to do magic and succeeding at it. She's a bit worried that she'll end up sorted into a House with one of her brothers, when all she wants to do is shine on her own. She has no idea if they feel the same way or not; though she suspects that perhaps they do.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting:
Maergrethe rolled her eyes and leaned against her brother Liam as she waited to be called. Of course she'd have to go last, as her name came after theirs in alphabetical order. It rather irked her that even though she was the first born she often had to go last, it just wasn't fair!

She sighed and tapped a foot as Leoben made his way up to the sorting hat and then turned to look at Liam thoughtfully. She had the strangest thought that they were all going to end up in different Houses. She wasn't too surprised when the hat placed her brother Leoben in Gryffindor, it seemed to fit his impetuous and super active personality. She shared that over active side with him, unlike their brother Liam who moved so slowly and seemingly without any sort of purpose when he walked. It made her tired just watching him most days.

And then it was Liam's turn, and thankfully it didn't take the hat long to place him. He was placed in Hufflepuff; which once again suited him. He was loyal and a great friend which seemed to be the main personification of the Hufflepuff House. She waved at him as he walked super slowly over to the Hufflepuff table and sat down.

And now, it was her turn. With a big smile on her face she stepped up the marble stairs and slide onto the stool making sure to keep her purple skirt from flipping up and showing off her underwear. Now that would have been embarrassing. She wrinkled her nose at the dank musky smell of the old black hat as it was lowered onto her head.

A sneeze escaped from her nose before she could cover it. "So sorry," She apologized to the teacher that was standing in front of her. The hat mused over her talking about the different Houses and where she might do well. Finally after what seemed like hours it finally spat out, "Ravenclaw!"

Maergrethe grinned in triumph. Finally a House all to herself where she wouldn't have to compete with her brothers for attention. Well mainly Leoben, Liam wasn't really as much of an attention seeker. She slid off the stool and scampered over to the Ravenclaw table.

Boggart: Maergrethe was super excited! Finally she'd be getting to see a real live boggart! She waited in line for her turn, wondering what her greatest fear would be. She had never really thought of it until now.

"Miss Linwood, any day now." the professor told her with an impatient tap of his foot.

Maergrethe was a bit embarrassed that she had been caught daydreaming. "Sorry Professor." She said blushing brightly and stepped forward to have a look at the boggart.

The boggart swirled and morphed into her, dressed in a pink party dress and tons of lace and frills all over it. It was so frilled that the dress stood out three feet from her double's body. Maergrethe gasped in anger and horror and whisked out her wand and shouted, "RIDIKULOUS!" She was satisfied when the dress's hue changed to purple and all the frills and fluff exploded.

She stepped back to regard her now purple clad double in satisfaction. "Now that is much better." She said with a smile on her face.

Mirror of Erised: Maergrethe tiptoed down the hall, making sure to stay as quiet as she could. She didn't want someone to catch her out of the Ravenclaw dorms this late at night, as it would cause her to get detention and lose some of the House points. Still she couldn't help but feel driven to find this mirror that showed what one most desired.

Her heart nearly leaped into her throat when she heard shuffling feet heading towards her and she held back a squeak of fear and dove behind the nearest column. She held her breath and prayed that they would walk by without finding her. She clenched her hands into fists and waited impatiently as the feet slowly shuffled off. She glanced around the corner and was relieved to see that she was once more alone.

"Whew, that was close." She exclaimed wiping the sweat off of her forehead.

She padded down the hallway in her purple fluffy slippers until she finally found the door of the room of Requirement. She was rather relieved that she hadn't had to go too far before the door had appeared to her. She had heard that a lot of people went looking for it to never find it. She figured it was because they really weren't desperate enough for it, as it only came to a person in their time of need or something like that.

Maer glanced around and then slowly and gently pushed the door open. It opened without a sound, revealing a room filled from top to bottom with an odd assortment of items. There were some old trophies in one corner, old ancient chairs, cages, old wardrobes and desks, It was kind of like walking into a flea market and not knowing where to start.

Maer glanced around and spotted a tall flat object covered with a long sheet. That had to be the mirror, she just knew it! She half skipped, half slid her way over across the shiny floor on her furred slippers and came to a stop in front of the mirror. She reached up, grasped the sheet and pulled it off to reveal a really tall glistening mirror.

She stared at it for a moment and then frowned. How come nothing was..oh wait! She was changing, growing taller and she looked as though she had finally gotten a bosom! That was definitely something to look forward to! She watched eagerly and nearly crowed with joy when she saw her older self getting accolades and trophies from the Headmaster of Hogwarts. She closed her eyes and celebrated. Oh if only it were true!

EXTRA CREDIT
Patronus: Her patronus would be a small bob tailed cat.

Greatest Treasure: Her greatest treasure is a purple bound journal and a very fancy quill pen that brothers gave her for their last birthday.

Manner of Dress: She'll wear anything as long as it's purple. She usually tends to wear somewhat girly things more these days, though she does like to wear these off white purple toned jeans and a very fuzzy purple sweater when she's out of her uniform.

Favorite Class:Charms, Divination

Worst Class:Arithmancy, she just can't stand the numbers. She often gets mathematical terms mixed up..and then it gives her a terrible headache.

GENERAL
Name: Alaric Alexander Kensington
Gender: Male
Birthday: September 5th (Virgo)
House: Hufflepuff
Blood Status: Mixed
Wand: Eleven inch willow wood with a core of unicorn hair.
Wand Hand: Left

PERSONALITY
General: Alaric is a kind of laid back kid. He's happy with just about anything, and isn't picky. Secretly, he just wants to be liked, so instead of voicing his opinion, Alaric tends to go with the majority vote. He loves hanging out with his friends and makes new ones fairly easily. He loves to help others, and enjoys tutoring and helping with homework. He does tend to be sensitive, as in his feelings get hurt semi-easily, but it's not something he shows to the world. He tends to keep his hurt feelings locked up inside.
Habits: He chews on writing utensils when he's thinking. He tugs on his hair when he's bored (he doesn't pull it out, just tugs on it).
Hobbies: He enjoys reading and sports. He's looking to try out for Quidditch in his second year.
Likes: Being active, studying, reading. Pretty much anything can catch Alaric's fancy.
Dislikes: There really isn't much that Alaric doesn't like. He does feel strongly about bullies, though.

FAMILY
Mother: Annmarie Kensington
Father: Arden Kensington
Siblings: Austyn Ariel (brother, 9 years); Ainslye Abigayle (sister, 7 years); and Adeline Alannah (sister, 2 years)
Extended Family: None living.
Relationship with Family: Alaric loves his family to pieces. He's excited for his younger siblings to join him at Hogwarts when they're old enough. He and Austyn are both very protective of their younger sisters.

HISTORY
General History: Born and raised in Surrey, England, Alaric and his siblings enjoyed a fairly normal life. They had each other as well as their own friends to play with. Annmarie works as a seamstress and Arden as an apothecary. They were never wealthy, but they don't want for anything. They live a comfortable life. Both Annmarie and Arden are magical, as well as all of his siblings so far. There are a few squibs and Muggles in the family as well.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Alaric was a little nervous standing there with all the first years. All of the houses looked equally promising to the young man, except for Slytherin, but even that house had greatness attached to it. In his own family, there was a smattering of all of the houses, even Slytherin had been represented in his line. Which house he was sorted into wasn't a huge deal for the young man, since his family would be proud of him no matter what. Soon his name was called and he stepped up to the stool. The Sorting Hat seemed as indecisive as Alaric himself. He thought about the houses for a moment, and there was one that suddenly stuck out in his mind above the others.

"HUFFLEPUFF!" The Sorting Hat called, and Alaric smiled as he joined his housemates.

Boggart: Alaric's boggart would most likely be a bee. When he was about 7, he was outside playing with Austyn when he accidentally bothered a small hive of bees. He and Austyn both got stung several times and since then they have both been afraid of bees.

Mirror of Erised: Alaric's greatest desire at the moment is to be a professor at Hogwarts. He's not sure what class he'd like to teach, but he does want to help young witches and wizards learn.

EXTRA CREDIT

Greatest Treasure: His younger siblings. He loves being the older brother for them and wants to protect and help them as best he can.

Manner of Dress: He's usually pretty neat, but on days when he's in a hurry he can look messy.

Character I.D.
Name: Abigale King
Gender: Female
Age: 11
Birthday: October 16th
House: Slytherin
Wand: Holly, Dragon Heartstring, 14 3/4 inches.
Blood: Pureblood

Personality:
Strengths: Authoritative, planner.
Weaknesses: Quick to anger, sheltered.
Habits: Biting her lip, glaring at people, snapping out at people.
Hobbies: Fashion, reading, people watching, picking on people.
Likes: Being the leader, being appreciated, being a lady.
Dislikes: When people ignore her, her parent's disappointment, rules, gross things, dirty things, having to be a lady.
Three words to describe your character: Bossy, vain, arrogant

Family:
Mother: TBA - Witch
Father: TBA - Wizard
Siblings: Younger brother, two years younger
Other?: Naya - house elf (not related)
Describe Family Life Growing Up: Her parents are often very busy, and so don't always pay attention to her. Despite being the first born, she is not the heir to the family, and so is often in the shadow of her younger brother. She was practically raised by Naya, a house elf, and considers her to be her best friend, if house elves were friends. She spent a lot of time with her tutors, in her etiquette class, and in her room by herself.

History:
Abigale was the first born to a wealthy pureblood household. Being a female, her parents did not name her heir, but had her take lessons in etiquette as soon as she was able. She was often ignored by her parents unless her appearance was required or requested. When she was old enough, she would join her mother and any ladies in their proper get together, and she was made to be silent and polite and perfect. Occasionally she would go with her mother to parties and the like at other proper ladies houses, but she was often forgotten at home. She was practically raised by Naya, the house elf.

Her personality around Naya was nothing like when she was around her parents, and the silent young lady would instantly turn into a loud and bossy brat. She was taught many things that were considered ladylike, such as how to sing, dance, and play instruments. Because she didn't get out much, she didn't really have any friends, only occasionally seeing the children of other ladies when attending parties. She doesn't really know how to act around kids her own age, as she hasn't met many, and since they are not adults and do not deserve her respect, she treats them like she would treat Naya or the other house elves.

Being alone most of the time, she has a variety of things to do for fun by herself, such as read stories and novels, draw or paint, or look at magazines. She is interested in fashion and dressing up, and has a rather large wardrobe full of things to play around with. She rarely did anything with her brother, and mostly knows him from meals, and watching his games from her balcony. What little interactions she has with him other than those two, it is mostly him bothering her, trying to trick her, or just making a mess. She dislikes him greatly.

Misc:
She gets angry when people call her Abby instead of Abigale, because Abigale is her name and Abby is not. However, if she had a close friend, she would probably relent to them calling her this. She finds it too familiar a term most of the time.
Most of what she knows of life, she gained from watching her parents, or from magazines, or books, so she isn't always sure of herself in in-formal social situations.
Since she is quick to anger and treats those her own age like house elves, it is not uncommon that a fight breaks out among her and her peers. Those fights have been the reason for many disproving gazes from her mother, and a ban from going to certain houses.

GENERAL
Name: Adelia Halliwell
Gender: Female
Birthday: May 16th (Taurus)
House: Gryffindor
Blood Status: Mixed
Wand: 9 3/4 Applewood with unicorn hair core.
Wand Hand: Left

PERSONALITY
General: Adelia is a very outgoing girl. She loves to make friends and to explore. She's also very stubborn and gets her feelings hurt fairly easily. She does not, however, show her emotions very much. She tends to keep them inside until she can't anymore. This leads to blow ups from her that she regrets almost instantly. She is also very impatient. She can be easily distracted as in...she has Attention Deficit...Ooh Shiny! Yeah.
Habits: Sighing when she gets impatient, tapping her pen/pencil on her desk.
Hobbies: Collecting cow themed things (can be anything, as long as it's a cow or has a cow pattern or has a cow on it), writing, reading, exploring.
Likes: COWS (obviously!!), her family (except her cousin sometimes, he's annoying and mean), reading, writing.
Dislikes: Being bored, waiting, bullies, mean people.

FAMILY
Mother: Teagan Halliwell, a witch
Father: Landen Halliwell, a Muggle
Siblings: Jolie & Jessamyn (twin sisters, 5 years), Kaleb (brother, 1 year), and her mother is currently pregnant again.
Extended Family: Sheri & Grahame Jessup (aunt & uncle), William "Jess" Jessup (cousin, 11 years, questing for him!)
Relationship with Family: She loves her family! She gets along with everyone except Jess sometimes, but that's because they're so different from each other and because Jess has a tendency to be mean.

HISTORY
General History: Though her mother and aunt were born and raised in Texas, Teagan moved to England after she graduated from the school in Salem to see if she could find a better job in London. It was there she met her husband Landen and it was there she stayed. Adelia was born soon after Teagan and Landen got married. However, it wasn't until Adelia's magic started showing as a child that Teagan had to come clean with Landen. He was shocked at first, but soon accepted it and said he knew there was something special about his wife, he just didn't know how special until then. Adelia overall was kind of a spoiled child, but she never became a brat about it.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Adelia was quite certain what house she would be sorted into. It was the same one her mother was in, and the same one her grandparents had been in. Gryffindor just ran in her family. Well, with the exception of her aunt, uncle, and probably her cousin. They were all Slytherin, at least she was sure her cousin would be sorted as such. She could see him across the hall now, his cowboy hat was unmistakable. She was surprised that no one had made him take it off yet. She rolled her eyes just as her name was called and she flounced up to the stool. No sooner was the Sorting Hat placed on her head than the booming voice shouted "GRYFFINDOR!" Quite pleased with herself and knowing her parents would be as well, Adelia practically ran for the table of her fellow housemates, excited to make some new friends.

Boggart: Adelia isn't afraid of much, but when confronted with a boggart, it would probably take the form of a gnome. She hates the things and fears them which is why she'd like to get a jarvey at the first opportunity.

Mirror of Erised: Adelia's greatest desire is to become an author.

Nationality: Romanian/British/Welsh
Name: Liam Osiris Linwood
Gender: Male
Birthday: March 27th
House: Hufflepuff
Blood Status: Mixed Blood
Wand: Cedar, Phoenix feather, 13 inches,
Wand Hand:
Right
More on Wand:Whenever I meet one who carries a cedar wand, I find strength of character and unusual loyalty. My father, Gervaise Ollivander, used always to say, ‘you will never fool the cedar carrier,’ and I agree: the cedar wand finds its perfect home where there is perspicacity and perception. I would go further than my father, however, in saying that I have never yet met the owner of a cedar wand whom I would care to cross, especially if harm is done to those of whom they are fond. The witch or wizard who is well-matched with cedar carries the potential to be a frightening adversary, which often comes as a shock to those who have thoughtlessly challenged them.

The Phoenix Feather comes from the tail feathers of a Phoenix, and is especially good with fire or defensive magic, as well as healing magic. This may be due largely to the healing properties Phoenixes have.

PERSONALITY
General:
Reserved- Liam tends to keep his feelings and thoughts to himself and doesn't really talk to just anyone. Most of the time he prefers to listen and mull over things before speaking. When he does speak he's usually very well spoken and what he says has a lot of thought behind it.

Passive- Liam doesn't really act fast or in haste, everything he does is done slowly and with care. He's very much a peacemaker and can often keep his brother and sister from fighting using his natural negotiating skills. Even if he has a problem he's not the type to complain about it. He's much more likely to try and figure it out on his own. When he's completely stumped then he'll seek out Maer or Leo for help, but that's usually a last resort.

Robust- Like his brother, Liam is rather tall and strong for his age. For a little while he took kick-boxing with his brother but soon grew tired of seeing people hurt in class. Liam has an unusual amount of stamina and is often going on long hikes and walks when he can.

Considerate- Liam tends to think of others ahead of himself and is often offering to help those that need a hand. A lot of times, or so his siblings have pointed out; others will take advantage of his kind nature. It's not that he really cares if people do or not as long as they really do need the help. If he finds out that they could be doing what they ask of him he gets a bit annoyed and will stop doing anything for them.

Slow Anger- Liam might be slow to anger, but this doesn't mean he can't get angry. Most of the time he shrugs off slights and can manage to keep his anger in check, but there are times when his anger bursts out at some pretty bad moments.

Habits: When in an uncomfortable situation, he'll tug on his clothes and fidget a lot. He'll rub his chin when he's thinking, or bit the his bottom lip when concentrating or deep in thought.
Hobbies: Hiking, exploring the outdoors, Bird Watching, Playing football.
Likes: Camouflage pants, Combat boots, Beret, Observing animals, Sports, Nature and animals, vegetables, fruit.
Dislikes:
Being forced to sit indoors during splendid weather, Perfumes and colognes as they make him break out in hives, Cheater, People who needlessly kill animals for sport, Being Scrutinized or compared to others, Nuts, Any type of red meat he won't eat.

Relationship with Family:

Growing up with such a noisy and busy family often made him feel the one one out. He usually retreated to a quiet corner when it got too loud or went on a walk by himself outdoors. Unlike the other people in his family, Liam is an introvert.

He's pretty close to his Maer and Leo because of their odd sixth sense they share with one another. It often allows them to know or feel when one of the others is in trouble or hurt. Up until Maer was sent away, they were thick as thieves and did pretty much everything together, though Liam was usually talked into it. Liam being much more sensitive to their sixth sense actually has more of an understanding of what his sister went through. He always knows when she's having a flashback or nightmare about the place and can help calm her down or help her get out of it.

He's rather close to his father, probably because they are a lot alike and have the same love for animals. He loves to help his father with caring for animals and is planning on following in his father's footsteps one day. He's so into animals that he doesn't eat any red meat and chooses to live off of vegetables, fruits, gains and fish.

He pretty close to his older brother Challis and will often be allowed to go with him on his photo shoots in the summer. Challis has no patience for Leoben's wild antics or Maer's incessant complaining. He rather prefers the quiet triplet who can help him track down animals and stay completely still and not scare them off. Liam has also managed to find some of the rarer wild life species for him to photograph. Liam finds these trips to be relaxing and very rejuvenating, especially after being stuck with his annoying loud classmates or siblings.

Liam's family knows when to leave him alone and give him space when he needs it. If he doesn't get it he can become rebellious and reckless, sometimes even mean. He'll lash out at people to make them leave him alone. While he's patient most of the time after too much interaction and being forced to do things that test him or stress him out he'll crack.

HISTORY
General History:
Born on March 27th about 18 minutes after Maer, the doctors and his parents feared at fist that he was stillborn. He didn't make a sound until the doctor finally smacked him on his backside. Of the three, he was the quietest and easiest to take care of, while his siblings would be howling their lungs out for something he'd just sit and stare at everything around him. It actually took him longer to walk than the other two, him being so cautious, he would wait until no one was around to attempt walking because he didn't want to get run into or pushed down by an older rowdier sibling. They didn't even know he could walk until he was 20 months.

Liam has always been quiet and an easy child to raise, unless the other two managed to drag him in on their escapades. And even then he was reluctant to be as adventurous and was always the more cautious and had much more common sense than the other two. Though they'd often egg him on and demand he do what they were doing until he did it. And then even after he got hurt he never really blamed them for it. He'd just suffer alongside them without much complaint.

As they got older and his siblings started to do more on their own, Liam often felt left out. He never knew who to spend time with or if they even wanted him around. This is when he started to pull into himself more and became withdrawn from others and not as talkative. It was a bit alarming to his parents, but they didn't want to try anything drastic just yet. They figured he'd grow out of it so they just encouraged him to spend time with them more often.

Liam showed some initial interest in taking kick boxing lessons with Leoben but never really got into it as much as his brother did. He decided to drop it after about three months of taking the class. He just wasn't really into violence or fighting as much as Leoben. In fact, he was rather taken aback by the aggressive side of it.

Liam actually showed signs of his magic before either of his siblings, though he never told them or his parents that. When Maegrethe had the terrible encounter at the boarding school, Liam would often wake up with horrible nightmares of what was happening to her. At first he was sure it was just his imagination getting away from him, but when she wrote to them telling them how terrible the school was and how mean the teachers were that Liam realized he had seen things that had actually happened. He tried to speak to his parents about it but they didn't really pay too much attention to him about it.

They were rather stunned when they were requested by Improper Use of Magic Office at the Minstry of Magic to come to what was left of the boarding school. They found a very distraught and hysterical Maergrethe. No one could get much of anything out of her on what had happened, and no one in the school knew anything. It was Liam, who was able to give an accurate account of what had occurred and what had been done to his sister to cause her to do what she had done.

Their parents were furious and sued the school and got a rather large settlement to keep news of it out of the public eye. The family returned home where their mother started teaching her children at home out of the public eye. It was difficult but the siblings became a bit closer after this.

Liam was rather pleased when all three of them received letters to Hogwarts. He had always loved the idea of magic and having been raised around it he was very delighted to be able to learn more about it.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting:
To say Liam was overwhelmed by all the noise in the great hall would have been putting it mildly. Every noise and yell was causing him to flinch. Which meant it looked like he was having a spasm attack or worse. He tried to calm himself down as he waited to be called forward to the sorting hat, but it didn't really help when the hat was screaming out a house name every five seconds.

Liam covered his ears and tried to get to his happy place. Being such an extreme introvert, in situations like this the only way to stay sane was to try and get the over stimulation muffled and concentrate on something better. He smiled as thoughts of being outside and images of mountains came into his mind.

The next moment he was being poked and shoved by the kids behind him. He turned around in confusion and reluctantly took his hands off of his ears. "Come on man, stop going off into la la land, it's your turn!" He heard Maergrethe call from somewhere behind him. Liam laughed at her words and turned to go up the stairs.

He must have missed his brother's being sorted, because he didn't see him in front of him anymore. He thought it was rather funny that the sorting had them arrange themselves in the opposite order they were normally in. He made his way up the stairs and plopped down on the stool.

He grimaced slightly when the hat was forced onto his head and a voice began to speak in his ears with a gravely tone. "Well..now what House is best for you? You could go with your brother into Gryffindor, though you're not really one for glory. Hmm..I know, HUFFLEPUFF!"

Liam was rather relieved by the House he had been placed in. He didn't really mind being put into a House other than his brother. Maybe he'd finally get to do what he wanted instead of being forced to do everything his brother did. For some reason Leoben was always thinking he needed to get him to join in all his games.

Liam made his way over to the Hufflepuff table and slide into an empty spot grinning at the welcome the others were giving him. Of course..if they kept it up he'd probably need to make some makeshift earplugs. The noise was just too much for his sensitive ears.

Boggart: Liam warily approached the billowy form of the boggart his wand already in his left hand. He stood with his legs apart wondering what the boggart would turn into. He had quite a few fears, most of them ones he had never told anyone else. He was actually relieved that neither of his siblings were in this class with him. He wouldn't want them laughing at his fears or trying to make him feel better.

The boggart swirled around and morphed into a hug black bear which roared and stood on it's back legs. Liam shuddered and pulled out his wand shouting, "Ridikulous!" before the bear could try to run at him.

The next moment the bear was dressed in a bright pink and yellow polka dot collar and balancing on a huge rubber ball as it tried to juggle some green balls. Everyone in the class laughed and Liam grinned. Well that wasn't so bad.

Mirror of Erised: Liam was rather surprised when his sister grabbed him and dragged him into the castle. He could barely understand her jabbering she was talking so fast. Finally, more because it was hurting his ears than anything, Liam came to a halt and made her stop pulling him. "Can you speak a bit more slowly so I can understand you?" He asked in a low tone.

"Haven't you heard a single thing I've said? I found the Mirror of Erised, and it's wonderful! You have to try it out!" Maergrethe gushed all in one breath.

Liam found a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "What did you see?"

Maergrethe took a hold of his arm again and began to lead him to the room where the mirror was and continued to jabber on about seeing herself getting medals and graduating with top honors from school. Liam had figured as much, that was definitely something she desired over everything else. Well at least for now, he was sure her desires would change in time though.

And then the he was standing in front of the mirror and Maergrethe was askin him what he saw. Liam blinked a moment and then looked into it, concentrating on the mirror's surface.

The mirror surface wavered and the image of a mountain top came into view. Then he noticed his clothing and appearance had changed. He was now dressed in hiking clothes and had a hug pack on his back and a long walking staff in one hand. His eyes widened when he saw a small dragon curled around his neck. Whoa..he had a pet dragon? Sweet!

EXTRA CREDIT
Patronus: His patronus is a gray fox.

Greatest Treasure: The old spyglass that was given to him by his older brother Challis, he uses it a lot.

Manner of Dress: When in his uniform he usually loosens his tie and rolls the sleeves up as they get too hot for him. When out of uniform he tends to wear comfortable and loose clothing that can be cleaned easily as he's often getting dirty from being outside so much.

Favorite Class: Care of Magical Creatures, he loves animals and loves magical animals even more. Mostly because his father tends to bring strange and new animals into the home to take care of them.

Worst Class:
Charms, he's always pronouncing things wrong or not holding a vowel out long enough.
