Pronunciation: r OH z • ah m ei l ee • H UH N - t er
Gender: Female
Age: 11
Birthday: 06/30
CANCER
The Crab
(June 21 - July 22)
Cardinal, water, yin
Planetary ruler: the Moon
Keywords: "I FEEL"
Cancer is the fourth sign of the Zodiac and governs the breast and the stomach. Positive traits include loyalty, a love of home and family, the ability to express emotion, intensity, a great sense of humor, a sense of initiative, tenaciousness, a gift with finances, compassion, shrewdness, and intuition. Negative traits are self-indulgence, moodiness, clinging to other people, bossiness, emotional manipulation, and over-sentimentality.
Gryffindor Cancers
Gryffindors born under the sign of Cancer will root for the home team until their throats are raw. They are deeply loyal to their House (and also to any friends outside of their House, although these may take a back seat to Gryffindor loyalties). Make a friend with a Gryffindor Cancer, and you've made a friend for life. Cancer is a sentimental, yet high achieving sign that dreams often, and dreams big; this combined with the Gryffindor romantic streak creates a quixotic, almost anachronistically chivalrous temperament.

Blood: Half-blood
Wealth: Middle-Class
Wand: Hawthorn, 8 inches, Phoenix Feather core. This wand is sturdy, strong-willed and focused. This wand has a protective nature, making it particularly adept at DADA.

Hawthorn. +Masculine. +Associated with the Owl. +Element of air. +Provides psychic protection. +Used for charms. +Confidence, patience, weather working and banishment of evil spirits.

Phoenix Feather. Phoenix tail feather is a popular wand core due to its versatility and power. Its main strength lies in Defense Against the Dark Arts, although its adaptability can wrench it to hexes and jinxes if need be. As with the dragon heartstring core, the phoenix core is common amongst Light Wizards, but its users are not necessarily Light Wizards. This core may specifically impede Dark spells, so it is not common amongst Slytherins. However, it is by far the most common Gryffindor wand core, and is not unusual amongst Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs.

Wands cored with phoenix tail feathers, are more versatile, not as specialized as the other two magical cores. It is more the degree of power that is decided by the feather. Many of the most powerful wizards, be they good or evil, are cored by Phoenix feathered wands. They are more adept at difficult magic, such as Unforgiveables or Patronus Charms. Holders of other wands can work the charms just as effectively, but it seems to come more naturally to carriers of Phoenix feather wands. Also, the phoenix feather wand seems to be adept at creating shields that could defend against the strongest hexes created by the Dragon Heartstring Wand. Users may be adept at defending themselves using Occulmency.

Good For: Shields, Defense Against the Dark Arts, More Advanced Magic, Occlumency.

Personality:

Traits/turn ons/turn offs;;
offs// annoying people, people that beg, people that are too submissive;
ons// rebellious people, people with a little mischief in there lives, red heads. >>;

Proud, I never let anything get me down. I like who I am, what I do, and where I come from. If you don't like it, then you should shove Off;

Quiet, however proud I may be, I'm also a very quiet person. I won't jump into a situation and cause more ruckus, if I think there's already enough. I hate drama. I don't like he-said, she-said situations, so if you can't come up to me and tell me something yourself, then you're not worth talking to. At all; Determined, I get things done. Plain and Simple. And in a decent amount of time too;

Loyal, *sings* I've got you Baaabe, and you've got me.~~ Yeah, you know, loyalty. I'm like a dog. Once I've determined you as a friend, I won't turn my back on you. And I hope you don't do the same. *stares*;

Love-able, again, a dog like trait. I have a few of those. I will love you to the end of time, once I really get to know you… and you work your way under my skin. I've been told I'm quite motherly at times. Scary.

Quirky, oish. I have quirks, random phrases and stuff I'll say when I'm distracted or bored or just being funny. I guess that's what you'd call a quirk. I also meow when I'm being curious or I'm confused... miao?

Strengths;;
Intelligent, I'm no Ravenclaw, but I do have a sense of knowledge about me. I'm a very fast learner, and I do things fully and completely, even going out of my way to find my answers;

Quick-witted, yeah, YOUR MOM! *laughs* Just kidding, but I can come up with quick responses to jokes and stuff... most of the time. Sometimes my quick-witted-ness gets me in trouble... hmm, don't they call that sass? They do, oh, shoot;

Resourceful, books are a big part of anything. Like I said before, I'll go to any lengths to find what I'm looking for, that does mean hours and hours in the Library, or sitting on my bed practicing a spell till it hurts;

Clumsy, how in the bloody hell is this a strength, you may ask. Well, on several occasions, my clumsiness has gotten peoples attention... more or less for people to stand out of the way, or I've fallen into a boy that I really liked... mm, ice breakers, "Oh! Sorry, did I drop my book?";

Weaknesses;;
Forgetful, ah... yes. I've forgotten that I'm forgetful. See? Usually it ends up with me not having a particular book, or assignment, or something along those lines;

Easily Loses Track of Time
; timelyness.... ah, I wish I could tell you I'm punctual. But I'm not. I do try my hardest to make it to class on time though;

Distract-able, what? What was I staring at, oh... that shiny barrette in that girls hair... it has an unusual shape... you know, like a cucumber. OH! I like cucumbers... I make my own pickles... did you know that? I didn't. Hee!;

Submissive, ah yes... actually the next one fits into this category too... if you ask me to do something, give me a cute face (and you're a guy) I'll do nearly about anything... given you're not an prat to me before hand;

Gullible
, again, cute face, and say please. I'll give in. Uhm, also, if you give a good reasoning behind it I'll believe almost anything I'm told... given it makes sense... if you told me a troll would make a good boyfriend... I believe I'd have to hit you with my broom.

History:
Oh... gosh. Where to start. I was born on June 30, in a London Hospital - St. Mungo's, probably, but I don't remember and I haven't bothered to ask. My Parents and I live in London, of course. Uhm... I grew up quietly, I've always been a bit of a shy girl, but once I'm comfortable I really let loose. I went to a muggle private school, for my first 5 years of schooling (pre-school-4th grade) and for 5th grade my parents and I lived in Japan for a year with relatives. Something about me getting used to my heritage. Heh. Muggle school was boring. When did I first find out I was a witch? New Years, while I was in Japan. I wanted more fireworks.... I got more fireworks. Nearly set an entire forest on fire. I have a cat. Her name is koneko. She's black. She's adorable. I have a lot of 'partial' blood in the family. YES, I am a MUTT. Lawl.

Currently she, her father and mother live in "Hunter Mansion" in an unplottable part of Britain, even so, not even she knows the part of the country she lives in.

Misc:
None.

Gender: Female
Birthday: July 5th
House: Hufflepuff
Blood Status: Half-Blood
Wand: 9 3/4" Vine with Dragon core.
Wand Hand: Left

PERSONALITY
General: Happy is the cover she uses for her deep set insecurity (after all who likes a whiner). "If I smile long enough, I'll be happy." Her hyper tendencies help to smother her depression. She's aware of her faults and works daily to correct the behaviors.

Habits: bites her nails
Hobbies: reading
Likes: people, animals, school
Dislikes: Father, being alone, herself.

FAMILY
Mother: Liza Roles
Father: Scott Cummings
Siblings: baby Sister Kayla
Extended Family: step-mother: Diana; Step-Father: Paul
Relationship with Family: passive aggressive

HISTORY
General History:
Anya's father is a lawyer in a small town in the southern part of Ireland remarried to Diana less then a year ago. Anya's highlight when visiting is playing with her new Sister. Diana works at a private medical office, helping muggles and wizards alike.

Anya's mother couldn't stay in the same region as her father, so she took off for London, England. Ready for a new life, Liza changed her last name to her mother's maiden name and began nursing at the local wizardry hospital. Soon Liza met an old friend, Paul. And married him shortly after. Paul then changed his last name to Liza's.

Anya disliked her father, and frankly Liza's new beau freaked her out so she spent one year at a time at each house, trying to figure out where she wouldn't to stay. The letter from Hogwarts settled the issue for her, thankfully.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting:
Charm was sweating, so many people. What if she missed her name? 2 People before her turn and she's talking to herself trying to calm down. 1 down, 1 to go, gulps and focuses on just herself and the hat. Taking a deep breath she holds it as she steps up and sits down. "Ravenclaw, please." The hat stayed silent just making thinking noises before shouting "Hufflepuff" Charm looks confused but numbly heads over to the Hufflepuffs making sure she doesn't trip on anything. Thinking she's clear she moves to sit only to trip on someone's robes. Thankfully she fell into her seat and smiled. "Ta-da!" So she was a Hufflepuff. She smiled and buried the disappointment. Perhaps she really wasn't smart enough to be in Ravenclaw so the only house that would take her was Hufflepuff. Many stopped to welcome her but she felt they really didn't care, it was just an unwritten tradition. That night she sat in her new bed and pondered the day. Being in Hufflepuff wasn't that big of a deal, and everyone was so nice. So feeling like a dork for her reaction she went to bed content, ready to be the best Hufflepuff she could be.

Boggart: A large Black Wolf

Mirror of Erised: Herself surrounded by friends and family.

GENERAL
Name: Louvenia Valora Alvesleben
Gender: Female
Birthday: January 1st
House: Ravenclaw
Blood Status: Mixed
Wand: Canary wood, Dragon heartstring, 10 inches
Wand Hand:
Left

PERSONALITY
General: She's a very focused and diligent student, she doesn't let dramas or other things distract her from learning. She gets super annoyed with people who are rude and play around in the classroom. She's something of a teacher's pet and is always doing extra credit work for fun, much to the annoyance of other kids.

When it is necessary, she'll take on leadership roles and won't let others derail her. She's very assertive and uses it to keep others on track in order for her or the team to do well. She can be rather bossy, manipulative and often times self absorbed, which she doesn't think is a bad thing.

She doesn't make friends easily because of her stoic manner and no nonsense approach to life. She has a tough time relaxing and just living in the moment, though she is learning to slowly.

Since she grew up with adults and lost her parents at a young age she has had to learn to be more mature and adult like. Because she lives in a house full of adults, her vocabulary reflects it and she often doesn't understand slang and how other kids her age mean.
Habits: She constantly adjusts her glasses and tends to stick pens and other objects in her mouth when she's concentrating or thinking.
Hobbies: Playing Piano, keeps a book of interesting words, Fencing, Reading, Studying languages, dancing.

FAMILY
Mother: Heloise (Bundt)30, Muggle (deceased)
Father: Abelard Alvesleben, 52, Wizard/Linguist/Professor, Ravenclaw(deceased)
Siblings: None
Extended Family: (Paternal Grandparents)Aleksander Alvesleben, Wizard, Ravenclaw; Doris Limke, Muggle, Socialite; (Maternal Grandparents) Henry Bundt, Muggle,; Sabine, Witch, Ravenclaw
Second Cousin, Alisander Alvesleben, Duke/Billionaire, Slytherin.
Third Cousin: Lothar Aleksie Alvesleben, 11, Ravenclaw.
Relationship with Family:

She was super close with her father and they did practically everything together. He was the one that got her into studying languages and started teaching her when she was three years old. They would spend hours in his study reading and enjoying one another's company. He let her be herself, and that is what made her want to spend so much time with him.

Her relationship with her mother was rather tentative and strained. Heloise was always trying to push her into doing more girly things and not spend so much time studying or learning. She always wanted her daughter go be more girly than she was. This just caused a lot of tension and annoyance in Louvenia.

The only thing that she did that pleased her mother was when she tool up playing the piano. She was a natural much to everyone's surprise. She will often play songs that her mother loves to sing. They will often do duets at parties, even though Louvenia hates going out that much.

HISTORY
General History:
Abelard married Heloise, who was much younger than he was by 20 years or more. They weren't the best of couples, and were often arguing about what they wanted to do. However, they did love each other in their own way, and four years after they married they were given a great gift when Louvenia came along.

It was during a yule ball at his cousin's palace where Heloise went into labor. She had insisted on going, despite her being so close to her due date. Louvenia was born precisely at 12:05 am with a head full of bright blond hair and sparkling blue eyes, screaming at the top of her lungs. She was greeted with great ceremony by her father and all the guests at the party.

Heloise took one look at her, held her for a moment and then gave her over to the nurse and went back to sleep.

Louvenia's fist couple of years were spent under the loving care of a nurse and her father. Her mother tried half-heartedly to get attached, but it never really happened. She hadn't come from a nurturing family and she had no idea how to do it. She did take part in getting her clothes and more toys than Louvenia would ever need.

By the time she was six, her care had been firmly placed into the capable hands of a governess, Elizabeth Lansberry. While her father still doted on her and instructed her in languages, most of his energy was focused on his students at the college he was teaching at. He was also struggling to keep up with his wife's youthfulness and wanting to go out every evening.

Tragedy struck, when her parents were killed in a building fire and couldn't get out in time. Louvenia was numb and speechless for several weeks, as she processed the loss of her parents. She was 8 when this happened. Her father's cousin being named her guardian, he and his son moved in to her home to help get everything in order. It took them a little over a month to clear out the house and sell it before they could move Louvenia into one of the Alvesleben castles.

Elizabeth, her governess and several of her father's house servants made the move with her. Alesander wanted her to have some familiar faces in his homes, and figured that with Ms. Lansberry being so well certified that she could teach his son as well as Louvenia. Louvenia slowly came out of her shell and got pretty close to her cousin. They were soon discussing geneology and exploring the castle top to bottom.

Louvenia soon became her old self and much to her cousin's annoyance began to outshine him in the classroom. He had always been the one to do the best, and now she was doing better than him! It soon became a rather embroiled competiton with them who could be the best. They butted heads every now and then, until they decided to just concentrate on the process of learning and not the gains. That's when things got better.

In the Duke's home, Louvenia was more exposed to magic than she had been in her own home. She soon became enthralled with it and constantly asked questions about how it was done. She was really excited when she was told about schools for magical studying and hoped that she would one day be asked to attend. She was overjoyed when she received her letter from Hogwarts on her birthday and read it aloud.

She was even more excited when Lothar received his letter in February. His father was really happy for the both of them and took them on a special trip to England to celebrate the happy occasion. Once there, the three of them discussed what the two kids would need for school and when they'd go and buy the supplies.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: *working on*

Boggart: Louvenia would see herself trussed up like a doll in frilly lacy clothes and being forced to be on display in front of a huge crowd of people.

Mirror of Erised:
Louvenia would see herself at the age of 17, her head held high receiving her diploma and the dean's award for her focus and diligence. She'd receive many accolades from her teachers and fellow students and have lots of friends congratulating her.

She'd wish for success if she actually believed in wishes. She believes more in hard work and diligence. Wishing one's life away is pure laziness.

EXTRA CREDIT

Patronus: Her Patronus would be like her father's, a song bird.

Greatest Treasure: Her owl, Giovanni. He used to be her fathers. She inherited him after her father died, and she's cared for him since.

Manner of Dress: She is an impeccable dresser and always checks her outfits several times over before leaving her dorm room. She gets really annoyed if she finds loose string or if her shoes get scuffed or stepped on by other people. She even trims hairs that stick out from the ends of her braids.

Favorite Class: History of Magic, she loves learning about the wizards who started everything in the past. Astronomy, it's really fascinating to her.

Worst Class: Divination

FAMILY
Mother:Samantha Darkdream Morph
Father:James Allen Morph
Siblings: None
Extended Family:Uncle on his Father's side Lucas Jefferson Morph
Relationship with Family:

It was hard being the "creepy family" that lived down the road in Wesley's neighboorhood growing up. When your father is a wizard things can be a little diffcult. Living in a strictly muggle area in the heart of London, it was hard to explain things sometimes.

The Morphs just wanted a normal life, not that they were ashamed of their ablities they didn't want their childern to souly depend on magic to solve all their problems. Mainly the men in the Morph family were born with magic very few, like Wesley's grandmother, were witches.

Wesley's grandmother, whom he called Gran, would pull out all the photographs and brag about all the pranks she would play on the neighboorhood kids. And considering that they now live in the house she grew up in, most of the rumors followed through out the years. Even some tales changed into more wild stories than what actually happened.

Like the time she decided it would be funny to replace some of the neighboors lawn gnomes with some of the "garden gnomes" she would collect when visiting her grandmother. She only managed to capture one and put it in her pretty pink backpack. When her parents found the muddy pack on the back step and the tiny gnome foot prints all along the walk, it didn't take long for them to figure out what she had done.

Nothing major happened, just startled some childern who were having a camp out in their backyard and were heard screaming as they saw the garden gnome digging up their mother's prize rose bushes.

De-gnoming the yard was easy, explaining what happened, a completely different matter. It eventually was decided that it was a family of dirt digging moles. But stories still flew that it was "blood thirsty men from the center of the earth".
Wesley's mother grew up as a muggle and though she was a "non-magic user" as his father would refer to it. He sometimes longed to just be like his mom and be normal. But as fate would have it, Wesley was a wizard, just as his father's father before him. His dad was so proud when Wes got his acceptance letter by owl saying he was going to Hogwarts. Stories about Hogwarts and the "great times" his dad had as a Gryffindor were a common thing around the dinner table. Wesley's main fear was and still is disappointing his father.

HISTORY
General History:

Other than being chosen to attend Hogwarts the only other life changing event that occured was almost dying. A family trip almost ended badly when Wesley got shoved out of the fishing boat he was in with some of his cousins. He got tangled up some kelp. If his older cousin hadn't dived in and cut him lose he would have drowned. He had nightmares for weeks and from then on out Wesley couldn't go near any large body of water.

Wesley didn't have very many friends growing up, but the one that kept coming around was Vonali Darix. She had a mind of her own and wasn't afraid to kick Wes if he thought differently then she did. He didn't take a lot of her "crap" and was one of only a few she actually claimed as a friend, according to her anyway.

Wesley always had a thing for music. His mother played the flute and piano and taught Wes how to play both at a young age. For his seventh birthday, his mother surprised him with his own silver flute. He carried it around with him constantly.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting:

Wesley knew his father was a proud Gryffindor and that he wanted his only son to follow in his foot steps. No pressure, right? Pfft, this "Sorting Hat" business was going to be a cake walk. Though he'd never admit it, the thought of disappointing his dad grew with every name called to go and be sorted. What seemed like a million and one years "Wesley Morph!" was shouted out. Running a hand through his dark hair nervously, Wes stepped forward.

"Interesting.." The Sorting Hat muttered as it was set on the young lad's head "If you wish..GRYFFINDOR!"

It was as if an elephant had been lifted from his soulders, and a huge grin spread across Wesley's face as he ran over to join his new house mates.

GENERAL
Name: Tian "Sky" Blackbriar
Gender: Female
Birthday: July 7th
House: Ravenclaw
Blood Status: Muggleborn
Wand: Black Walnut with Unicorn Core, 14", reasonably supple
Wand Hand: Right

PERSONALITY
General: Sky is, without a doubt, a snotty girl. She barks, she demands, she orders without a care in the world. Not only this, but she doesn't beat around the bush--her tact would make her etiquette teacher cry. But despite these things, Sky isn't conniving or fake--Sky simply doesn't censor herself, letting her impulsiveness and wit show through. She lives for the smartass comebacks and comments and is very opinionated--even when her opinion is completely irrelevant to the topic. Often times, because of this, she gets into things she has no business being in because she's so verbal.

Coming from the family background she has, Sky often times feels entitled to certain things--mainly, she is quite materialistic and has little self restraint towards things she wants. She also shows her affection materialistically, showering those she likes in random gifts rather than heartfelt words.

Along with these things, Sky has a terribly competitive side to her. It's not something created by a parent or their standards, Sky just loathes losing. It's why she strives to be the best at sports and the best academically. Without regard to anything, she puts her entirety recklessly into a cause and at that point, whether it just be a game of chess, losing is not an option--and once Sky is riled up about something, it's hard to calm her back down to see reason.
Habits: Though Sky doesn't possess any unusual habits--like clicking of the tongue, biting of the nails, or twiriling of the hair (if anything, just the occasional thoughtful nibble on the lip or rub of the hands)--she has a horrible time masking her emotions. Usually, whatever she's thinking or feeling plays clearly on her face--whether it be outrage, happiness, or pity--she's painfully easy to read. To make things even more inconvenient, Sky is heinously inept at faking emotions too.
Hobbies: With her parent's money backing her every venture, Sky explored just about all an eleven year old was able to explore. Every pass-time she tried, from knitting to go-cart-racing. Most of the things she dabbled in she grew bored of quickly, though she did linger in a lot of the ball-sports, like tennis and softball. Along with these things, she does actually find most school topics to be interesting to a point and even pursues some things, like biology or writing, outside of the classroom.
Likes: As redundant as it sounds, Sky enjoys being the victor or being the best in the class. Though playing the actual sport or learning the topic is important to her, there's no better taste than victory.
Dislikes: One thing Sky immediately disliked was swimming--there's nothing more uncomfortable for her than to get wet and cold. Therefore, there would be massive retaliation for splashing her or pushing her into any sort of body of water--even a miniscule puddle.

Sky also dislikes meek people, she finds them frustrating to deal with. She would as soon as smack them over the head as actually hold a conversation with them.

FAMILY
Mother: Fen Li
Fen Li, Sky's mother, was born into a well-off Chinese family. Her father was only half Chinese so Fen Li was three-quarters and thus, Sky is truly less than half Chinese.

While traditional Chinese values were imparted on Fen by her parents, somehow, after her education, she ended up going out for the Miss Universe Pageant, representing China. Her parents, of course, didn't know what the Pageant even was and only heard about it when some of their friends pointed out their own daughter, dressed in a bathing suit, strutting her stuff on stage. They were horrified, to say the least. But the thought of disowning her didn't occur to them--until she brought back Ian Blackbriar, an Englishman, and claimed that they had eloped.
Father: Ian Blackbriar
Ian Blackbriar, unlike his wife, wasn't born into money. He invented some strange website during his college years that ended up earning him millions. When he met Fen, however, he was just a charming, poor man. Ian was always showy, however, so he--after seeing her on Miss Universe--tracked her down and fought for a date. After that, their romance was like a whirlwind

Fen knew, however, that her parents would never approve of their relationship while Ian had nothing to his name, so she convinced him to elope with her. And so the deed was done. Not a year later, his internet business took off and they were nesting in prime property along a beach coast.

Sky was on the way shortly after.

Siblings: Sky has a younger brother, Feng Blackbriar, who's an equal snot.
Extended Family: Sky has grandparents, aunts, and cousins, on numerous sides. However, she rarely sees any of them since once her father hit the jackpot, a lot of them started groveling for money. At first, he helped them out because they were family--and he had money to spare. It didn't take long to realize what they truly valued though, and Ian soon lost contact with them.

Relationship with Family: Sky was the spoiled only child for the longest time--until her brother, Feng appeared. As soon as Feng was able to talk, the two kids were at each other's throats. Their parents, the lovey-dovy couple, could only tear at their hairs and watch as the power struggle between siblings ensued.

HISTORY
General History:
From the moment Sky was born, she led an unnaturally comfortable life. Her parents supplied her with whatever she wanted--spoiling her rotten again and again. Along with what she wanted, however, she was coerced into taking academic classes and etiquette classes. This was the balance that kept her from turning into a completely unbearable kid--because she knew that as long as she did well in the things her parents approved of, they wouldn't have a problem spoiling her.

The only hitch that arrived was her brother, Feng. For the longest time, Sky cursed his existence. He cried, he smelled, he was an utter nightmare. And that was even before he started talking! It was like the two of them were never meant to ever get along and they equally resented each other. However, Feng always went too far--past the point of sibling squabbles. Sky abhorred his lack of self restraint and for the longest time, they couldn't even be in the same room with each other.

Her relationship with her brother lessened as soon as Sky stopped paying attention to his mockeries and his tricks. She began to focus on other things--like school work and sports. While her parents were happy for some peace and quiet for a change, they were concerned at their children's brisk attitude towards another. It was almost worse than arguing--it was the two of them not even acknowledging the others' existence.

However, when one of the Hogwarts professors came to talk to Sky about wizardry--there wasn't much that anyone could do to repair Sky and Feng's relationship. Sky was leaving him behind once again--and this time to a place that Feng couldn't hope to follow. However, Sky was too excited-to estatic, to give her brother's angst the time of day. It was studying 24/7 for her--a feeble attempt to make up the things her eleven years of being Muggle-Born had caused. Before she knew it, it was time to depart to Hogwarts.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Were those... floating candles? Sky scoffed--weren't those a flame hazard? These wizards preached of being so much more advanced than muggles--just so much more efficient... and they were still using candles? Well... whatever floated their magical boats, she supposed.

But despite these feelings, Sky had to admit... she was impressed! Even though her house had an entrance hall roughly the same size, this place had an entirely different atmosphere.... It seemed... Fun. Kids were sitting at the four tables and they all seemed so lively! Not to mention, the occasional ghost floating around was absolutely fascinating! So maybe those dumb people--the ghost busters and co--weren't all that insane after all! Wouldn't that be the day... Sky thought, amused. But she also didn't think there would be a day that she became a wizard. A wizard. Like the Wizards of Oz, or like Galdalf the Gray--or better yet... Like everything in Harry Potter had described!

And just like the books, her name would be called within seconds. "Tian Blackbriar!" 'Bout time! She thought excitedly, hurriedly making her way to the Sorting Hat. As it was lowered on her head, what she read about the houses came flooding back to her. Gryffindor was for the brave--or the brutes... Slytherin was for the ambitious--or the evil... Hufflepuff was for the loyal--or the ones that they can't put anywhere else... and Ravenclaw was for the witty... She wouldn't mind being in Ravenclaw--the colors complimented her too.

Just as she thought those last words, the Sorting Hat spoke: "Ravenclaw!"

Giddy with excitement, Sky hopped off the stool and was greeted by blue and silver.

Boggart: Out of all things, Sky is most terrified of losing--her Boggart would be herself, old and lack-luster, with no accomplishments behind her.

Mirror of Erised: More than anything else, Sky wants to be successful. The Mirror would show herself, but older, surrounded by important people--was that the Minister and the Prime Minister there?--and she was holding a numerous number of awards--academics... sports... The list goes on.

GENERAL
Name: Cullen McNealy
Gender: Male
Birthday: October 24th
House: Ravenclaw
Blood Status: Half-blood
Wand: Sycamore wood, phoenix feather 10 1/2 inches
Wand Hand: Right

PERSONALITY
General: To sum it up Cullen is a knowledge obsessed sweetheart with a streak of Gryffindor in him that makes him a bit of an outcast within his house. He wants to know everything and anything that he can, devouring books at break neck speeds and asking so many questions from his teachers that it's not uncommon for him to be told to be quiet and just go back to reading his book. Honestly, the boy prefers the people who share his innate love for knowledge but really he could do with whoever shares his interest. And boy does he end up with a lot of interests. He's very much like a child, jumping from one obsession after the other. His friends and family get so tired of hearing about the latest findings on Butterbeer or how eye color effects magic that he just ends up running out of people to tell things to. He's not above getting into trouble for the sake of knowledge and at Hogwarts it wouldn't be very surprising to find him in detention for sneaking into the restricted section to check out a book he wanted or for being in the Forbidden forest late at night to uncover a plant he just learned about. However, Cullen is very self conscious. He was teased often as a kid for his heterochromia (Duel eye color) and as such he turned to knowledge to cover for the fact he didn't have very many friends. Though he has partially come out of that, he still takes everything said about himself to heart.
Habits: Spewing random knowledge- Usually focusing around his latest thing sometimes he really freaks people out by just saying something out of the blue that no one in their right mind would care about.
Mutterings of a madman- When really engrossed in something (Book, thoughts, magic) Cullen will randomly mutter to himself. He has yet to realize he does it and if pointed out to him he'll usually laugh and call the person crazy or jealous.
Hide and Go Seek- Perhaps his saddest trait of all, because Cullen was often teased about his eyes when he was younger he always hides when he's beginning to feel uncomfortable with a situation that's out of his control. Usually this 'hiding' is behind his own two hands or other objects that really don't conceal him but make him feel safer anyway.
Hobbies: The never ending search for knowledge.....I could attempt to list all the hobbies he's tried or wants to try but the list would be too extensive.
Likes: Learning, reading, studying, magic, forbidden things
Dislikes: Teasing, younger kids, bullies, things out of his control,
About the Wand
Sycamore Wood- The sycamore makes a questing wand, eager for new experience and losing brilliance if engaged in mundane activities. It is a quirk of these handsome wands that they may combust if allowed to become ‘bored,’ and many witches and wizards, settling down into middle age, are disconcerted to find their trusty wand bursting into flame in their hand as they ask it, one more time, to fetch their slippers. As may be deduced, the sycamore’s ideal owner is curious, vital and adventurous, and when paired with such an owner, it demonstrates a capacity to learn and adapt that earns it a rightful place among the world's most highly-prized wand woods.

Phoenix Feather- This is the rarest core type. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike.
Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, for the creature from which they are taken is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalise, and their allegiance is usually hard won.

FAMILY
Mother: Ceara McNealy (35): Cullen's mother is a real sweetheart. She has extremely curly long red hair and pale skin with freckles all over and shares Cullen's heterochromia (Her eyes are blue and blue green so aren't as noticeable). She was a member of Gryffindor when she attended Hogwarts and was known for her fiery personality. She's a native of Ireland and moved to England to be with her husband when he received employment in the English ministry. She likes to embarrass Cullen to pieces by calling him her 'Wee little Lamb~'. She mostly works odd jobs as she has a hard time staying still, usually picking up potions ingredients for different shops or running errands for a small fee.
Father: Finnen McNealy (40): Cullen's father is much more controlled then his mother. Born in Ireland he hails from the side with darker traits giving him dark black hair and tannish skin along with his handful of freckles. He was a Hufflepuff while attending Hogwarts and fell head over heels for Ceara when he returned to Hogwarts to discuss a job opening with a professor there. A calm man who works hard to support his family he loves to read and to learn new things. He works in the International Magical Office of Law and deals with keeping peace between international ministries and the English ministry.
Siblings: Cullen has been and always will be a sad lonely only child
Extended Family: He's never known any.
Relationship with Family: Mother- Cullen loves his mother dearly but often hides from her when she's being too overbearing. When he was younger she would take him with her on her odd jobs and would teach him little things here and there, encouraging his reckless side. She was slightly disappointed to find that her son would not be a proud lion as she was but she sends him letters weekly with all her love.

Father- Cullen's father isn't as close to him as his mother but the boy greatly looks up to the way his father handles life and his job. Though Cullen does seem to find some things his dad does strange he is always glad for the suggestions and encouragements his dad gives him. When Finnen found out his son was a Ravenclaw the normally reserved man boasted for weeks about it to his coworkers and other magical friends.

HISTORY
General History: Cullen was born in a suburb near the outskirts of London. 100% Irish decent he grew up in loving home with his parents in a mostly muggle neighborhood. When he was little he had not a care in the world until local children picked on him for his odd eyes and his family who dressed strangely. After a particularly horrifying bullying Cullen's magic snapped, allowing the boy to escape home and bringing with it the news that he was in fact a wizard. Not understanding why he was singled out for what he felt were wonderful things Cullen retreated to his home and began to spend most of his time exploring the interesting things his mother and father would bring home with them. As he grew and learned to read it was very obvious his love of knowledge was beginning to influence his life, and with no friends to sway his focus he let books become his only companionship outside his family. Upon learning he was accepted into Hogwarts he has read as much as he can into the school and classes and is more then excited to join his classmates in learning.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Standing near the back of the pile where fewer people were standing Cullen beamed brightly as he walked into the Great Hall. Grabbing the sleeve of the boy nearest to him he leaned over and whispered excitedly. "It's just like how they say in the books! I've read them all! Did ya know there are 142 staircases in this school? I'magine trying to walk all those! Mostly Gryffindors and Ravenclaws have to climb them though since they both live in towers though when we eventually take Astronomy we'll have a long walk too. So if ya don' like lotsa exercise ya probably shouldn't get into those houses. Makes me wonder if you can actually ask the Hat like in those books? I mean how much of them were real d'ya think?" Somewhere along his prattling the boy had shaken his hand off and tuned him out. In fact most of the students had quieted down and his voice was one of the few remaining that carried out over the crowd, earning him some less then pleasant looks by the older and younger students.

Ducking his head and covering his eyes slightly as the Headmistress began her speech he murmured a few words to himself about ignoring those people and that they'd like him soon enough. Before long they had made it halfway through, and as he was peeking out from between his fingers he heard his name. Raising his head he scurried to the stool and felt the hat in place, nervously murmuring to himself that it would all be alright and the hat wouldn't place him with people who weren't nice. Without further ado "RAVENCLAW" was shouted and he happily took his place among his fellow knowledge lovers (where he had wanted to be all along, as he did serious research into each house and it's strengths and weaknesses to see which he would prefer should the hat ask him) and began to rattle off to the girl he sat next to all about the library he had heard the school had.

Boggart: The boggart is in the shape of a little boy with a cruel sneer but beautiful face. Dark brown eyes glare daggers and the arms are crossed as he just stares at Cullen. Shaking he can hear the confused whispers of his fellow classmates as they wonder why they see a little 7 year old where a horror should be. He wants to tell them to be quiet but he can't look away from those eyes that haunt his dreams. Knowing that all eyes are on him and waiting for him to mess up he takes a deep breath and begins the spell when the boggart moves closer and he just can't do it anymore. Falling to his knees he only vaguely sees his teacher rush in front of him while the roar of the class sounds around him. He doesn't come to until the face is gone and his childhood bully can't stare at his nasty features anymore.

Mirror of Erised: In the mirror is a boy. He's Irish, obviously with all those freckles, but his eyes are both brown......he's quite normal looking. Everyone is staring at him though, not in the normal way where they all are telling him to shut up or saying how strange he looks. They're all awed by what he's saying. He's discovered a new type of magic! One that has changed magic history and puts his name up there alongside Nicolas Flemmel. It's so sweet, so bittersweet that he rests his head against the glass as he watches himself and forces his eyes to close so he can't see it anymore. If only.......

Name: Tristan Alexandra Mandelheim
Gender: Female
Birthday: January 29
House: Ravenclaw
Blood Status: Half-Blood
Wand: Hawthorn; 15 inches; Unicorn Hair
Wand Hand: Right

PERSONALITY
General:
    Artistic/Creative
She's very artistic. Most often - when she's not seen with her eyes skimming page after page in her books - she can be found drawing or writing. Before Hogwarts, her drawings and writings were mostly about magic and what a neat and intriguing thing it would be to do, or creatures drawn up with different attributes of other creatures (like a horse with rabbit ears). Nowadays she can be found writing memoirs of magic she's used or drawing up future spells or creations! - The downside to her Artistic/Creativity is that now she no longer has to dream of the magical and immaginable, she's been having a hard time thinking up of something that is still - for the most part - fictional!

    Quiet/Shy
Tristan rarely talks unless she feels the absolute need to do so or if called upon in class. She tends to keep to herself, often stammering or murmuring and having issues making eye contact when talking to someone new. This often can be diverted if it's something class related, such as group activities, partnered assignments, OR if the other individual says or does something that particularly sparks her interest. The downside to this attribute is that because she has a problem talking to someone new, she finds it hard to make new friends or socialize in a group.

    Bookworm
She loves a good book! Or any book for that matter! She's reading more often than she is drawing or writing, but mostly that's because she's so intrigued by this whole entire world that has been left in hiding all this time! If there's a book about it in the wizarding world, you better believe it's on her list of things to read at some point - if she hasn't read it already, that is!The downside - There are only a very very few books that she's able to read more than once. Because of the way she tends to just soak in information, once she's read a book, she doesn't feel the need to read it again. Thus, this results in the fact that she will eventually run out of books...

    Quick Learner
Tristan is always eager to learn new things! And because she's so eager to learn anything and everything there is to learn, she soaks it all in like a sponge, and it shows! She can easily quote a teacher on a lesson or mimic a wand flick after only seeing someone demonstrate it once!

Habits:
    Work First, Then "Play"
If there's anything Tristan does best, it's being sure that all her homework, classwork, and/or chores are done first. She makes lists of the things she needs to do on a daily basis and lives by her list! Once the list is done, then she can do whatever she wants... which generally involves more studying or writing her own stories or something...

    Lip Biting
She does this far too often for her lips' good. Whenever she's thinking, concentrating, or off in lala land, the right side of her lower lip is tucked between her teeth. She's also been known to do so when talking with someone new and even when she's lying - though she honestly hopes she never ever EVER has to lie to anyone, as she tends to be bad at that...

Pushing her Glasses Up on her Nose
This is something Tristan does often when talking to someone she knows, answering a question she clearly knows the answer to, when she gets a brilliant idea for her next story project or picture, or just when they start to slip down the bridge of her nose... as glasses are naturally want to do...

Hobbies:
    Writing
As mentioned before, Tristan loves to think up new stories. And as such, she has taken up writing as one of her hobbies. She writes a wide array of things. Sometimes Poetry, mini-memoirs, or even a few notes in her journal/diary, but she hopes to one day write a book or series of books.

    Drawing
Whenever the mood or idea strikes, she just has to put an idea to paper. If that idea is a picture, you can bet she'll sketch it out in a heartbeat! More often than not, her doodles can and are related to whatever thing she's currently writing in her free-time. Though, she has sometimes doodled things up in favor of a way to remember something. For instance, if in a class studying about a particular plant with jagged or smooth leaves, she will do a quick sketch in her notes of one of the leaves to ensure that it solidifies as a memory in her brain....

Likes:
    Study/Classes
Tristan loves to study and learn new things. Thus, she can generally be found studying for her assignments should the need or requirement arise. Because of her love for learning things, she's never late to a class. In fact, she's always early to her classes... She finds classes as the gateway to learning something new daily - which is of course, true - but she LOVES it! And thus, loves her classes!

    Magic
Magic is a new animal for Tristan. Up until recently, she's only been able to imagine and pretend about magic. It wasn't until her Aunt saw her flipping pages with her mind did she know that magic actually really existed! Since this marvelous discovery, she's found ways to get a hold of books that discussed magic - the origins of, the study of, etc. - just so she could learn more! She's fascinated by magic in itself and is ever so eager to try out a new spell, charm, or potion!

Dislikes:
    Heights
It's not so much that she dislikes heights... More so... the fear of being up high. It's a common fear, and she can live with it in most occurances, such as climbing a ladder or stairs, but if she can avoid being up where she can clearly see a gap worthy of an even slightly painful fall, she'd find other means to avoid the effort or find a new, less high method in which to complete the task.

Relationship with Family:
Tristan is very close to her family. A small part of her knows that she's adopted as her family looks very much different than her - they are all dark brunettes with pale skin and brown or hazel eyes and she's white-blonde with tanned skin and Heterochromatic eyes (one blue, one green). It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. However, they love each and every one of each other dearly.

Her parents raised her as their own and didn't alter that affection/care any when their own child was born. Tristan is grateful for them being in her life and doesn't ever question them about her being adopted because of it.

HISTORY
General History:
Mallora Birch was of Pureblood Slytherin line. As far back as her family dared to map, their family tree was littered with the proud and snobbish ways, all dressed in Greens and Silvers. Her family sneered at those from other houses at Hogwarts. They snarled at the sight of a Muggle and they disliked fraternizing much with the likes Half-Bloods. But Mallora was different. Granted, she grew up surrounded by teachings of her family, about how there's no better blood than that of a Pureblood! But that didn't stop Mallora from falling in love with the dashing young Ravenclaw Half-Blood named Alexander Hutchins. She ignored her family's protests of their affections and soon after finishing their classes at Hogwarts, the two eloped and married before Mallora's family could think twice about it.

Once they found out, Mallora's family was in an uproar. Threats danced about her thoughts and dreams of her family daring to abandon her for. Howler's poured in daily for months until her family finally realized that she would not give in to their idle threats and leave Alexander. They receded in their efforts, but only so much. They returned to their usual routines of family gatherings and such, but ignored Alexander completely. As if they imagined he wasn't even there.

This sort of reaction brought poor Mallora into a panic once she discovered she was pregnant with Alexander's child. Would her family abandon her completely? Would the disown her and pretend she never existed too? Or worse? Would they try to kill her husband and eventually their child?! Needless to say, Mallora didn't want to find out these answers the hard way...

So, Mallora ran. She left her wand, her spells, her wonderful world of magic behind and disappeared, hiding herself and refusing to use magic unless it was entirely necessary. She didn't want to be found, she didn't want them to know of her situation... She didn't even tell Alex about their child... All she left for him was a note that said "I love you, but this can't go on any longer...." Among a few other mushy sentences of a cheesy farewell.

She found shelter with an elderly lady - a Muggle - who offered her shelter in return for doing simple chores about the house. She quickly learned how things in the Muggle world worked, and eventually found herself getting by without any magic at all - save for the random sparks her unborn child forced her to do... But she stayed hidden.

Then the day came. The baby came. Late in the night the pains began, though Mallora could sense something was wrong, she didn't express it. The elder lady admitted to having been a midwife at some point her her time and aided in the childbirth, but Mallora lost a lot of blood in the effort. She could feel her time growing short and managed to tell the elderly lady the name she chose for her baby girl. Tristan Alexandra. Last name didn't matter. Heck, she didn't even tell the old lady her own last name in all that time she spent with her. Her final wish was that the old lady made sure that Tristan was well taken care of.

After Mallora's passing, the elderly lady weighed her options. She was in no condition to raise a newborn, much less dote on one constantly, as babies are apt to demand. So she put the child in a home, explaining to the authorities that the only thing her mother mentioned was that her name was Mallora and that she never spoke of any family.... Nothing else.

Tristan was immediately given into the care of Cassandra and Christian Mandelheim. A loving and devoted Muggle couple. They had been married for 7 years at this point, but had yet to conceive a child of their own. They opted to adoption, aiming for a newborn. A little girl, if possible. To their surprise, Tristan was born shortly after their request was put into the system and they brought little Tristan home. They agreed to keep the name that was suggested and cherished her. They raised her as their own and in fact, kept their story of how she truly became part of their family to themselves, as they found it hard to bring up the subject on their own. They merely assumed that she would ask them when she was ready to know the answers.

When Tristan was five, Cassandra and Christian found out the shocking news that they were expecting a child of their own. They had a boy they named Curtis, but they didn't love Tristan any less because of his presence. The two children grew up normally in the loving and devoting family.

Tristan began public school around the time her brother was born and loved her schooling. She took studying seriously and always asked questions about this, that and the other. She loved to learn. To create, explore, and imagine. But it wasn't until Tristan was nearly ten did her imagining get a little wild.

Suddenly, her mourning for a dying flower would brighten it's color and unwilt it. Her groaning complaints of having to clean her room when all she wanted was to read a book would result in socks and slacks putting themselves in her dirty clothes hamper. Doors would open when she tried to carry too many things from one room to another. Lights would cut on in the middle of the night when she had a bad dream...

It wasn't until her family had a reunion that summer did she get caught testing her abilities out on her own. She had found that she could turn pages of her book with a mere thought and - by this point - had grown rather accustomed to the task and did it mostly without thinking about it by now. Her Aunt Amy managed to observe such an action and nearly lost it!.... with excitement of course!

Everyone in the family - except the children - knew of Amy's little "secret". She was a Witch. She had grown up in a Half-blood family. Raised in a magical home, went to Hogwarts, the whole 9-yards. Her primary study was Muggle artifacts. She was fascinated by them, and in her studies, she had found and fallen in love with Joseph - Christian Mandelheim's younger brother.

They were not new to the idea of magic at this point, but they were uneasy of another member being a part of this new thing. Excited for her neice, Amy assured them all that she'd help them get ready for when she'd get her invite to Hogwarts. And boy did she....

Amy gave Tristan all her books from her time at Hogwarts. She knew Tristan was of the studying and eager to learn type, so giving her the books would be all the influence she would need for the time being. Amy expressed to her the warnings of using magic in the presence of Muggles. The dos and don'ts of using magic at all. And Tristan soaked it all in gladly. She was eager to learn more of this world, eager to try spells and make potions, but adhered to the warnings given to her.

In her remaining year at home, she made a conscious effort to not study about magic too much in front of her parents as she could tell they weren't entirely sure of the idea. That didn't change or alter their affection for her in the least, however.

Summer of her eleventh year soon came. The owl came, just as her Aunt had said and took her shopping for what school supplies she needed. Her Aunt Amy even bought her a cat as a gift. A silver tabby Tristan named Two-Socks, despite the fact that all the cat's paws were white...

Now with her invite to Hogwarts in hand (and book in the other) she's eager to set foot in this wonderful magical world she's been reading about all year. Eager and willing to attempt the spells and incantations she's forced herself to refrain from doing until this very moment...

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting:
"Tristan Mandelheim...!" rang the Headmasters call as she read the name from the parchment.

Tristan's dual-colored eyes flickered briefly to the Headmaster before swallowing hard. She'd read of all the houses. Gryffindor was for the Brave and Daring, Hufflepuff was for the Humble and Loyal, Slytherin - the Cunning and Sly... But she crossed her fingers that she'd be placed in Ravenclaw. They were the Wise and Intelligent. That seemed to be more her forte.

She balled her fists in determination and brushed past the other students around her. She nibbled on her lower lip as she climbed the few stairs up to the stool and slid into the seat upon it. It was then the Headmaster plopped the Sorting Hat upon her White-Blonde head and she immediately heard a gruff voice talking amidst her thoughts.

    "Interesting. Interesting!"

She had read in a book somewhere that the Sorting Hat was able to speak to you without others knowing what it had said... Up until this moment, she wasn't sure whether she believed it! Until now, she had only heard the Hat sing his little rhyme and holler out various Houses for the kids before her to be put into.

"Yes! Very Interesting indeed! You come from a long line of sly Slytherin's, young Tristan..." he began again, still sifting through her thoughts and memories as if they were his own.

Tristan had eeped out a startled gasp at this. She had known for a while now that she had been adopted, but she never gathered the courage to approach her parents about that fact. However, the idea of coming from a family of Slytherin's... that alone made her just a bit uneasy...

    The Sorting Hat continued...
"... but that's nothing to be ashamed of. And you have a wonderful blend of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff in there too! Yes!..."

Hufflepuff and Raveclaw? Really?! She fidgeted visibly on the stool and only just now noticed that the entire school of Hogwarts was currently staring at her... rather the hat, but she could suddenly feel all their eyes burrowing into her, much like the Sorting Hat was currently doing to her thoughts. Her lip began to pink from her nibbling and she slouched a bit in discomfort from being the current center of attention.

" You are filled with dedication in learning. Eager to soak up all knowledge of the world. Don't worry, young Tristan! You'll know of your real parents when you're ready. But until then, your place is in..." Tristan blinked. Her Real Par--

    "RAVENCLAW!"

She noticeably jumped, nearly falling off the stool had her knuckles not become white by gripping onto the sides of it already. The roar of delight from the Ravenclaw table alleviated her current thoughts and troubles as the hat was lifted from her head and she managed to slip down and find a seat among the cheering students.

She smiled meekly and pushed her falling spectacles back against her brow. Ravenclaw.... She was a Ravenclaw! Oh, happy day! The one house she had been hoping to be a part of for a year! She couldn't wait to tell her Aunt and Parents the news!

Parents.... She bit her lip again as she dwindled on this thought and watched as other students sat beneath the hat... Her REAL Parents... they were not 'Muggles' as her books called them. She would have to study up on this, she was more than sure of it...

Boggart:
    "H-Hello?"

Tristan's eyes flitted this way and that in the dim glow of the fireplace. She had been up late studying - as usual - in the Ravenclaw common-room and had heard something bumping about on the other side of the room. It kept to the shadows and she swallowed hard.

Grasping her wand and flicking it gently, she whispered softly to herself, "Lumos..." and the tip of her wand began to glow.

She heard another thump off to the side and she jumped, spinning around so the light of her wand fell upon... her... her brother?! Only...

Her eyes widened... Her younger brother's figure laid upon the ground and twitched, a dazed and far-off look in his eyes. Like he was dead... She started to scream but bit her tongue. No... This couldn't be real... Her brother was a muggle! Not to mention, he was only 5! He wouldn't be allowed to Hogwarts yet, not to mention the fact that he couldn't find the way...

    Another twitch...

Tristan grimaced at the sight and fought back tears. This looked too real, but she quickly began thinking of various creatures that it co--...

She steeled herself and straightened up. A Boggart was the only explanation! She immediately thought of his eyes going cross-eyed and his tongue sticking up, despite gravity... something he always did when playing dead in their games back home. She flicked her wrists, "Riddikulus!" she shouted, undoubtedly waking some of the Prefects in the effort.

The face skewed just as she pictured it and she couldn't help but laugh. If her shouting didn't wake them before, her giggling would certainly do the trick!

Mirror of Erised:
Tristan pulled the sheet that covered a tall rectangular shape and coughed a bit as dust billowed generously from the effort. What she found was a beautiful mirror. It was tall and elegantly crafted. The look alone brought a soft smile to her lips.

Something... seemed off about it though... Smoke began to swirl in the reflection before her and her brow stitched together. Pushing her glasses up on her nose, she stepped closer and peered at the mirror. Her fingers gingerly touching the surface. It seemed solid....

Figures appeared behind her in the glass and she gasped softly, her body spinning around quickly to see who it could have been that would sneak up on her like that! But as she turned, she realized that no one was there and she bit her lip in confusion. Looking back to the mirror again, she could see the figures better. In fact, they were her family. Her Mom, her Dad, her Brother... Her Aunt, Uncle and her twin Cousins... They all stood around behind her and smiled, huddled together like one big family.

Then two more figures came into view and she blinked in wonder as to who they were... She'd never seen them before, never met them... yet, they smiled and joined into the family gathering that had assembled as if they belonged there. Her Mom and Dad greeting them as if they were long lost family....

Stepping back to the mirror, she peered closer at the pair.

The man had blonde hair, squared jaw, wore glasses and had several freckles across his face. He was tan and trim, tall... Looked as though he spent his days pushing a quill for both leisure and work, as he had a few pens and a notepad tucked into his shirt pocket.

The woman of the pair had white-blonde hair, long rounded jaw with pale skin and practically a flawless complexion. She was of average height, slender and... to Tristan's surprise, also had Heterochromatic eyes! One eye blue, the other green!

    Tristan blinked.... Could they?

The pair turned to smile at each other before leaning up against each other in a picture perfect lean. The woman, seeming to be so full of joy and slightly embarassed by it, nibbled on her lip. The man, seeing this made a motion as if to chuckle at the woman's motion and shoved his glasses back onto his face in the same swift motion that Tristan quickly recognized as her own personal method.

    Two plus two equals...?!

Tristan smiled, taking in the new faces happily. They were her parents... Her REAL parents. And they were a part of her family just like her adoptive parents were. They were accepted and loved by those she already held dear... the only thing she hoped for since her encounter with the Sorting Hat.

Now she had faces to go by. All she needed now was names and she can begin her search for them.

Her hands lifted back to the glass, one resting between the cluster of her adopted family... the other... between her parents.

"I'll find you two and we can be a family again..." She smiled to the group in the reflection. "... I promise..." she whispered before reluctantly pulling away to replace the sheet back over the mirror and find her way back to her Common-room.

Notes:
I'd try to work out the contradictions in her intellect in the first "general" part, but other than that it's all good and very detailed!

GENERAL
Name: Eleanor "Ellie" Sebastian Carter
Gender: Female
Birthday: December 9th
House: Hufflepuff
Blood Status: Half-blood
Wand: Vine with dragon heartstring core, 11 inches
Wand Hand: Right

PERSONALITY
General: Eleanor is the student near the back of the class that you almost forget is there. She never talks if there is no one she wants to talk to, and most teachers tend to be intimidating. However, when she is forced to speak, she may sound hesitant but her answers are usually right. Outside of class, she is only seen talking to a few people, and otherwise alone and silent, usually reading or fidgeting. If she is seen at all. To those that know her better and actually manage to get her to speak, she can surprisingly positive and chatty if the right chord is struck. She is also rather affectionate towards friends and is a bit of a head-patter. But she is rather clingy and follows her few friends like a second shadow and will usually beeline for them if she sees them in a crowded area. If alone in a crowd, she is obviously nervous while she wrings her hands about and tries to edge as far away from the amount of people as she can.
When it comes to schoolwork, Eleanor is a hard worker. Projects are not late or thrown together at the last minute. This is because her nerves will chew at her if there's something not done and she will be somewhat bothered until she works on it. Putting things off just makes her antsy if it goes on for too long.
She isn't an incredibly smart student, but she does retain what she learns, for the most part. Ellie is in no way the top or bottom student, maybe more of lower middle. With people, she likes to think she understands them from observation and tends to assume the moods of her friends. This can backfire since if she is wrong, she looks rather tactless in either saying the wrong thing or backing off when she should be there for them. It's really rather hit-or-miss with her, with varying results.

Habits: Wringing her hands when nervous, absent-mindedly fidgeting with things when she's sitting still, taking napkins and wrappers and twisting and/or folding them about into almost-shapes
Hobbies:
. Crafts- In essence, she likes to make things out of nothing. A straw wrapper can become a snake or a dragon or even a swan, newspaper can become a boat, etc. If she has stuff laying about and nothing to do, she'll play around with it until she thinks it's something. Eleanor likes makeshift crafts and usually doesn't delve much in the way of organized kit crafts.
. Reading- Books are good company for someone who tends to be alone. As an observer, it is even better. She likes reading about other people and their adventures and mishaps. She enjoys biographies and fiction alike, as long as they have a bit of humor mixed in. A dull or annoying read is the worst. Note: look out for flying books, as she has angrily thrown really bad ones across her room before.
. Gardening- When your father works with apple orchards and your mother makes potions, it's only expected that there will be an interest to grow things yourself. From a young age Ellie helped her mother with growing potion ingredients (the normal-ish variety) in the garden, and even planted an apple tree that's still there to this day. Now she likes to try growing whatever she can since tending to plants is easier for her than people. Plants aren't judging, afterall.
. Flowers- Not just flowers themselves, but the language of flowers. Flower meaning and symbolism is an antique notion, but it specifity among flowers and their messages as well as the wide range from positive to negative greatly intrigues her. Anyone that gets flowers from her have it for a reason, like most other things that she does.

Likes:
. Cottage cheese- It might look nasty, but it tastes delicious in her eyes.
. New books- More adventures! New people to look into! How can you not enjoy that?
. Windy days- She loves the feel of wind in her face and her hair. The effect is very calming to her, and reminds her of the best boating days with her crazy family.
. Bellflowers- They're both pretty and have a very nice meaning: "Thinking of you"
Dislikes:
. Most forms of meat- She just isn't a huge fan of the taste and texture after eating lots of things from the garden most of the time. Cornbeef is an exception, however.
. Anemone flowers- Pretty as they are, she finds them depressing for their meaning of forsaking others.
. Loud noises- They startle her if not hurt her ears. Eleanor likes to avoid such overwhelming situations whenever possible.
. Her nerves- The thing she hates about the most. Ellie is fairly nervy around strangers and friends alike at random times and feels uncomfortable in her own skin. When she gets nervy, she feels like no matter what decision she makes will be bad, and makes her rather on edge.

FAMILY
Mother: Andrea "Andy" Devoe-Carter- Mixed-blood lineage and Ravenclaw graduate. She works as a potioneer with some dabbling as an art historian.
Father: James "Jim" Carter (Yes his name is the same as a certain American president. Jokes about it are very, very old, in his eyes)- Muggle and trade school graduate. Dabbles in woodworking but works full time at a small cider operation.
Siblings: N/A
Extended Family: Ivan Devoe, Henrietta Devoe (Maternal grandparents) ; Barbara Carter (Paternal grandmother) ; Sebastian Carter (Pathernal grandfather; deceased) ; Melanie Carter (Paternal aunt) ; four maternal uncles (Henrick, Jasper, Marvin, Louis) and their wives (Suandra, Marie, Anelle, Jamie) and their kids (too many to name!) ; one maternal aunt (Christiana) and her husband (Alan) and their kids (Carmen, Julia, and Ash). Most of those on the maternal side of her family are/were Ravenclaw and Gryffindor students.
Relationship with Family: Eleanor is very close to her parents, though her favorite at any time is her father since he is the more understanding and nurturing parent, while her mother is more forceful and the one who deals with discipline. This doesn't mean that allegiance can change from parent to parent depending on the situation, however. Both parents have special nicknames for her, that Eleanor tries to keep away from public knowledge ("Els" with her father and "Thing" with her mother. Eleanor calls her mother "Lady" in return)
Eleanor has a natural fondness for her grandparents, though she prefers her Aunt Mel over them at any given time; Melanie Carter, while a muggle, is a 'cool aunt' and always seems to understand Ellie and gives her attention that her other aunts and uncles never can really afford.
On the maternal side of her family, Eleanor is selective with who she really talks to and hangs out with. Really, her favorites are her cousins Carmen and Ash, the sons of Aunt Christy and Uncle Alan. They're outdoors-y but more outgoing and mischevious than she is, as well as older, but still give her the time of day while most older cousins pretty much don't bother with her.

HISTORY
General History: Ellie grew up as an only child in a small muggle town in rural Somerset, with very limited experiences in magic when dealing with the maternal side of her family. Her life has been mostly uneventful and even a bit secluded. Her parents only had friends without children, and her extended family events tended to have way too many people overall for her liking. The only good thing that would happen in group events was sailing on the boats her uncles owned. Otherwise, she would either hide out on her own or hang around her favorite cousins and follow whatever whims they had.
During the summer, she would usually be out in the gardens or out on the nearby hills for hours on end and only come in for meals and bedtime. Her parents would usually be working and Aunt Mel would watch her during that time, sometimes assisting in adventures or getting her to read a little more than just dillydallying in the grass all day.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Dear God, it was her turn. Her name had been called, and Eleanor went to the hat in a very fast, rigid walk. She did her best to not start pulling her hands apart. She was absolutely dreading this, yet she was exhilirated. Together, it made it nearly impossible to stand still. When the hat fell on her head, Ellie desperately asked the heavens for her to be in Ravenclaw. Her favorite cousins were in that House, and her mother had been as well. That or Gryffindor...

"Mm. I don't think so. You'd be eaten alive in Ravenclaw, and barely any better in Gryffindor." the Hat mumbled to her. "Hufflepuff is your best bet. Loyalty. Hard work. That's your ticket."

Oh. Her heart sank a bit. Nobody ever really talked about that House. It had been fairly...uninteresting. Plain. Not very noteworthy. But did that make it bad? Afterall, the Hat knew what it was doing...right? She just inwardly shrugged.

"Hufflepuff," The Sorting Hat called aloud, and that was the end of it. She went to her place among the black-and-yellows, looking at the floor most of the time and only looked at the others every once in a while. They looked friendly enough, anyways. At least it wasn't Slytherin. That's what she would have to tell herself for now.

Boggart: Her closest family and friends screaming and yelling at her and calling her nasty things.

Mirror of Erised: Herself as an adult, smiling and obviously successful and wearing nice clothing. Next to her is a man around her age, his features obscured, but the two of them are holding hands.

EXTRA CREDIT
Everything in this section is completely optional, but if you feel like going above and beyond the above required sections, this is for you! You can pick and choose which ones to fill out or not. Feel free to cut this section out of your form or just leave it blank if you opt not to fill it out.

Patronus: A rabbit

Greatest Treasure: Her old, worn Language of Flowers reference book. She has had it since she was little, first only looking at it for the illustrations, then started understanding its intent when she knew how to read. She still looks at it for reference (and hopes others will give her some of the more-meaningful flowers in it)

Manner of Dress: Casual slightly edging on prep.

Favorite Class: Herbology- Plants plants plants and sometimes the outdoors! Some of her favorite things for class credit! How awesome is that?

Worst Class: Defense Against The Dark Arts- She finds it useful and necessary, but the idea of it all makes her very nervous with the fact that there will be bad and evil against you and if you screw up, you might not get a second chance. Thoughts like that make her freeze up.

Character Basics
Name: Sara Elizabeth Xenon
Gender: Female
Birthday: June 23
House: Ravenclaw
Blood Status: Muggle-born
Wand: Mahogany; 13½ inches; Dragon Heartstring
Wand Hand: Right

Personality
General:
    Farmer's Daughter/Tomboy
O.M.G! is she a tomboy!! Nothing scares this southern born child. Born and raised on a farm in the Southern USA, this little gal has no fears! She loves hard work, getting dirty, livin' in the big outdoors with only enough technology to get the job done. She climbs trees, shovels manure, plays with reptiles, bugs and amphibians as well as any farm life. She dislikes make-up and doesn't care much about dresses and "dollin' up all pretty like" for some boy. None of that girly froo-froo stuff for her! She's happy bein' her.

    Outgoing/Talkative
Be it just a simple "hiya!" or a walk on the grounds, you better believe this girl would be chattin' about this or that or figuring out something new to do that she can bet no one's tried before. In fact, she's probably the first in every party to get out and dance, and probably be the only one to tell you more about how life on the farm is far different than life in a school of magic.

    Southern Drawl
Because of where she was born and raised, she has a rather strong southern drawl to her speech. This probably leads to some very interesting conversations. Whether it be an individual just "plumb not understandin' what she's talkin' " or whether she's not completely understanding what the rest of the school is talkin' about, that still doesn't alter her speech at all. She likes the way she talks and the way she was raised and doesn't want to change it for the world, much less some people who might claim to be her friends. If they can't understand her, that's their fault. This also causes an issue with how she casts spells and such. Most of the time, her spells backfire or just don't work at all. Mostly due to the fact that she's a late magic bloomer, but also to her inability to pronounce things correctly.

    Hard-headed
It doesn't matter the situation or the topic, if Sara has her mind set on something, you better believe she'll follow through figuring out how to accomplish a task, prove a thought, or attempt the unthinkable until she turns black or blue... or both! She doesn't back down from a fight easily and will definitely stand up for what she believes in before thinking twice.

    Late Magic Bloomer
Because she's Muggle-born, Sara finds it hard to believe that she's capable of producing any magical abilities at all. She tries, very hard in fact, but no matter how hard she tries in her first year and most of her second year, she has a hard time producing much magic in the way of spells at all. However, once she hits puberty (mid to end of second year) she erupts with magical potential and pretty much has to start all over again in her own personal training.

    Smart
Despite the stereotype, this southern gal is actually pretty smart. She may not act it in most cases on the account that she tends to act before she thinks, but that doesn't mean she's not capable of doing the impossible. In fact, throughout her first (and probably most of her second) she figures up new ways to finish her homework when it comes to spell-work because of her lack of magic until the time she hits puberty.

Habits:
    Analogies
An old family habit. Everything has an analogy to it, whether it makes sense to others or not, there's an analogy for it and she has no trouble spittin' 'em out faster than a rabbit makin' off with a carrot! Because of her ability to act before thinking, she sometimes spews forth an analogy that literally makes no sense at all, but rest assured she'll make it work in a heartbeat if questioned.
"That made me laugh harder than a rock in a quarry!"
"Um... In what universe do rocks laugh?!"
"None, but all rocks are hard. Ev'r try bitin' one? I did once. Chipped a tooth on it too! See?"

Hobbies:
    Journal
Probably the only girly thing she does is keep a diary. However, to save face, she calls it a journal. She does this every night before bed, writing down anything new or interesting that may have happened in her day which, given her personality, can be quite a bit to go over.

    Talk to Animals
It's clear the animals are either not caring or just don't understand english as they don't always pay attention to whatever it is she tells them, but Sara talks to all animals. She treats them all as if they're all people too, and has been known to hold long ongoing conversations with Tiki, her pet snake, and other animals she happens to be near even though she's the only one talking. This includes herself asking them questions then talking in response to something they "might" have said in return.

Likes:
    Animals, Making New Friends

Dislikes:
    Bullies, Snobs

Description/Extra
The real kicker about this one is... when you just look at her, fresh out of the dorm rooms in the morning and on her way to breakfast, you'd never guess just how much of a talkative, southern farm girl she is until she grins and plops down beside you and starts to chat wildly about this or that all while plastering her breakfast plate with eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, pancakes and eggs (yup...twice the eggs). Just sayin'...

History
General History:
Sara was born and raised on a farm in a back-country suburb of North Carolina, USA. Farming was the family business for generations and passed down the line as the newer generations grew of age and the older ones retired.

There's really nothing too out of the ordinary for this southern gal. She grew up with her mom, dad, and brothers but offered to move out to England to help her grandparents run their farm at about the age of 9. With her grandparents needing the extra hand, they agreed and she flew overseas, settling in to farm life outside of England.

Things continued on as normal until the strange occurance of an owl appearing in their window one night, holding a piece of parchment addressed to Sara. The entire family was baffled, confused, scared, worried and distraught. Surely no one in town would have the audacity to pull a prank like this on their family!

Sara?! Magical?! PSSH! They all got a good laugh at that! But the owls kept flowing in. You can imagine their confusion to those owls. Thinking this was all just some sort of elaborate hoax, but some of the letters had responses for things they didn't even think to say out loud!

Days before the request to find the Platform, she found a supply of school supplies ready for her in the barn. Not at all enthused by the incredibly thought out "prank", Sara readied herself to prove the magically appearing parchments wrong by showing her Grandparents that there was no such thing as platform 9 & ¾... To her shock and surprise, they happened to all witness a small family walk right through a wall between 9 and 10. Causing them all to stand there and watch as more (most of which enthusiastic children carrying much the same supplies as she currently toted) bustled through.

Deciding to try her luck, she steeled herself, grabbed her things and walked through. On the other side, she blinked... blinked again... then turned to see her grandparents skiddishly following suit.

Needless to say... this was one helluva "prank" and they thought it best to just... go along with what it was the parchments were saying she should do:

    Go to Hogwarts.

So she did! And now she's having new adventures and fun in this new world...

Relationship with Family:
Sara could go on for hours talking about her family and their crazy antics if you let her. By the way she talks of them, you can tell they're a truly tight-knit family that would do literally anything and everything for each other. The model family that balances out the spoiled with tough-love evenly.... and she wouldn't want it any other way...

Notes:

GENERAL
Name: Amerilla Jean Gray
Gender: Female
Birthday: February Sixth
House: Ravenclaw
Blood Status: Half-Blood
Wand: Willow, Unicorn Hair, 10 1/2 inches.
Wand Hand: Left

PERSONALITY
General: Amerilla is a dreamer. Daydreaming occupies a lot of her thoughts, although when she wants to she can buckle down and concentrate on the task at hand. She tends to listen to others more than she talks, but is also very emotional. If you upset her, Lia will spend quite a long time dwelling on the situation before deciding to forgive you. Similarly, if you anger her, it'll be a while before she lets go, but her peaceful nature will rein in her emotions. She is very good at letting things go, and finds it hard to keep a grudge for more than a day. Slow, but large, reactions are her forte. While she may not laugh right away, she'll most likely laugh the loudest. Lia also can hardly manage to say no. It makes her upset to see others upset, but when others are happy she quickly joins in the joy. In return, her joy and sadness are both a little bit contagious.

Lia is very good at tuning people out. If she doesn't want to talk to you, you might as well not be there. Lia can't exactly hold grudges, but she can hold off on talking to you, as in her mind that isn't quite the same as a grudge and is therefore fine. Unless, of course, you happen to bring along a chocolate frog for her. It is the only thing that you can bring to make her forgive you or notice your presence when she doesn't want to. It will immediately grab her attention, and those who know of this easily exploit her weakness.

When Lia isn't sleeping, reading, or hanging out with other people, she's most likely off in a corner thinking. Occasionally she'll pull a random person over to sit with her, and will just spend a few minutes talking about what she's been thinking. This has led her to some friends, and some people who call her a weirdo. By her reckoning, they wouldn't have been very nice friends anyway. This is her most subtle way of meeting new people. She's not too great at it. Often, she simply walks up to people, introduces herself, and promptly asks if they wish to become friends. When she knows what she wants to do and processes the situation, Lia is very quick in responding to people or telling them things. Slow to muse, but quick to strike.
Habits: Lia tends to only focus on a couple of things people say. Another habit she has is chewing on the feathers of quills.
Hobbies: Lia likes writing, and although it isn't the best, she spends a lot of time trying to improve. She also likes designing clothing. Her designs tend to be out-of-fashion, but she has a knack for making it just barely enough in-fashion that people like it.
Likes: Although she is awful at most forms of art, Lia loves art museums and the like. Her mother took her once when she was little, and she's been fascinated ever since. Lia also likes meeting new people, and peaceful encounters. When she has the time, she also tends to wander off to the library to read anything she can get her hands on.
Dislikes: Lia hates people cornering her, and of course snakes. She also doesn't like violent conflict, or dueling.

FAMILY
Mother: Her mother, Jean Nicole Gray, is a muggle. She works as an accountant in a law firm.
Father: Avery James Gray is the wizard father of the family. He works at St. Mungo's, as a healer. He was put in Ravenclaw, as his wit was, while not the sharpest in his year, certainly greater than average. Avery has mixed blood.
Siblings: Amerilla has a younger brother and sister, Katie Nicole Gray and Lance Avery Gray. They are twins, and nine years old. Lia thinks they're pests, of course, but she loves her siblings dearly, and they are her two best friends.
Extended Family: She hasn't met any grandparents, aunts, or uncles, due to her parents running away and eloping.
Relationship with Family: Lia is very close to her immediate family. She talks to her parents and siblings every night, and plans on sending them owls every day at Hogwarts.

HISTORY
General History: Let's start with Lia's parents, specifically her mother for now. When Jean was about six years old, a new boy moved into her neighborhood. The new kid was admired by all the others. The girls, because he wasn't "gross," and he didn't throw worms at them. The boys, because he always had nice toys, like pictures that seemed to move. As Jean and Avery grew up, they became close friends. Avery came very close to telling her he was a wizard several times, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. When they were both eleven, Avery got his letter from Hogwarts. He was ecstatic, until he realized he wouldn't be able to go to school with his best friend, like she had been planning on. He always knew it would come to this, but somehow it had never quite clicked before. All he could think about was how she'd have to brave the wonderful world of Boys without him. After all, Jean was noticing them, and he had become a sort of wing-man for her. He's never quite been successful yet, but he had been trying.

Finally, the only thing he could think of to make it right was to expose his magical blood to her. So one night, after careful planning on Avery's part and much curiosity on Jean's, he told her, as carefully as he could, that he wasn't who she thought he was. This wasn't the best start, but eventually Jean calmed down enough for him to tell her the truth. After a tear-filled early goodbye, Jean and Avery parted ways for the school year. They met up every summer and played together, as usual, until the summer they turned seventeen. By this time, each had grown to love each other. They became a couple, lasting through Avery's last year of school and beyond. Jean's parents had planned on her having a better husband than one who, as they saw it, was a terrible influence and had caused her to become reckless. The two young lovers felt they had no choice other than to elope and live together, away from her parent's reach and nearer to Diagon Alley. In doing so, they also abandoned Avery's parents, who had never truly appreciated their son. They felt like he didn't fit in their perfect family, and so he was quite glad to be rid of the pressure they put upon him.

After a few years of happy marriage, Jean and Avery were well settled into their jobs, he as a Healer in St. Mungo's, and she as an accountant. They decided it would finally be time to start a family, after vowing they would be closer to their children than their parents were to them. After a few years of trying, Jean and Avery finally had a baby girl, Amerilla. She was named after Jean's mother, because although she disliked her mother for how she had acted, she still, deep down, loved her. They were happy with just one child for a while, Jean taking time off to take care of the baby, but as she grew, they realized another kid wouldn't be so bad. So they tried for just one more, thinking two would be a perfect family. They got twins instead, Katie and Lance, but couldn't help feeling like three had always been the magic number anyway.

As Lia grew older, she spent much more time with her family than any other friends she made. The twins, being fairly close in age to her, were her closest friends, although she did have plenty of others. Her family had always, however, been first in her mind, Avery and Jean being, as far as she was concerned, the perfect parents. She looked up to both her Muggle mother and wizard dad, seeing them both as shining stars, though in reality they were both just average people.

Lia didn't miss a single second she could be sleeping, always going to bed earlier than the twins. As she grew to be a bit older, she started staying up later than she should, since she discovered the joys of reading, but every moment she could be asleep lost had always been precious. Lia, when not talking to her family or playing with friends, could always be found either with a book in her hands or a design at her feet. She was a happy child, comfortable with her heritage and how she fit in. Although she might have seemed a bit odd to the other children, sometimes taking twice as long to reply to their questions, or other times just forgetting she had been asked a question at all, she was very kind and empathetic. When Mary North got shoved into the mud by Ken Richards, she rushed to her side, wiping away the mud and tears away, with different hands of course, and murmuring soothing words of encouragement.

Lia received her letter in the middle of a family bonding movie. The owl had arrived, not surprising anyone, as Avery got lots of letters that way. Lia had been nominated to retrieve it, and after registering that, she got up to gently remove the letter. Feeding it a treat from her pocket, she petted it softly and started to read, not answering her family's repeated questions of who it was for. After reading it over a couple of times, her face broke out into a wide grin and she tackle-hugged her father, shaking the letter in his face. She had expected to get in, of course, but there was always a chance the letter might not come. They had taken a trip to Diagon Alley, which was close enough to walk to, and gotten all her school supplies the next day. Over the course of a few days, Lia had excitedly packed her things, often stopping on a whim to read or just go somewhere else.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Not being particularly nervous about the Sorting itself, Lia was more concerned about being in front of so many people. She didn't normally have any sort of stage fright, but with that many people almost everyone is bound to. When the call of "Gray, Amerilla" rang into her ears, she stepped forward slowly, finally sitting down on the stool. The sorting hat, when placed on Lia's head, sunk down over her eyes. Not too long after, it confidently called out Ravenclaw. Lia had taken a few moments to realize she had been sorted, but after she noticed, she rushed excitedly over to her new House table, excited to be meeting new people she could become friends with.

Boggart: Lia, when encountered with a boggart, would see a snake. When she was seven and her brother was six, he came into the house holding a snake in his hands. He let it into her room, where it bit her. Thankfully, the snake wasn't venomous, and it didn't harm her other than a small bite, but it scared Lia very badly. To this day, nothing has scared her as badly.

Mirror of Erised: In the Mirror of Erised, Lia would see her entire family gathered around her, including her extended ones, happy and glad to be with each other. Since she is so close to her immediate family, she can hardly imagine them not getting along with theirs. She wants her parents to feel as close to their parents as she does to them.

EXTRA CREDIT
Patronus:

Greatest Treasure: Lia's greatest treasure is a small silver locket. It holds a picture of her siblings in one side, and a picture of her parents in the other. She normally keeps this tucked under her shirt, so only a bit of silver chain sticks out. It is precious to her because of the pictures it contains. She is not herself without her family, and the locket is as close to having them with her as she can get.

Manner of Dress: Lia dresses in a very fancy way, always like she is going to a high-end party or some place equally nice, besides when she is in school robes.

Notes:
Got a second opinion from Ottolla, who wants to know "why squirrels and zombies?" Perhaps elaborate more on his trip to the muggle community in his history. (:

GENERAL
Name: Darwin Okun

Gender: Male

Birthday: August 22

House: Ravenclaw

Blood Status: Pureblood

Wand: Ebony and Phoenix Feather, 10 inches, somewhat bendy.
" [Ebony] has an impressive appearance and reputation, being highly suited to all manner of combative magic, and to Transfiguration. Ebony is happiest in the hand of those with the courage to be themselves. Frequently non-conformist, highly individual or comfortable with the status of outsider, ebony wand owners have been found both among the ranks of the Order of the Phoenix and among the Death Eaters. In my experience the ebony wand’s perfect match is one who will hold fast to his or her beliefs, no matter what the external pressure, and will not be swayed lightly from their purpose." - Pottermore

Wand Hand: Left

PERSONALITY

General:
First thing you’ll probably figure out about Darwin is that he’s obsessed with squirrels and zombies. He spent a couple of years in the muggle world, and came back believing that squirrels are evil and that the zombie apocalypse is imminent. He can find a way to blame most things on squirrels and has actually made pamphlets with tips on surviving the zombie apocalypse that he hands out on a yearly basis.

Second thing you’ll probably figure out is that Darwin is scatterbrained and easily distracted, and you’ll probably find this out when he wanders away during the middle of a conversation. Don’t take it personally though, because with Darwin it just kinda… happens. Chances are he saw something shiny, or saw a squirrel, or saw a squirrel with something shiny. That or he thought of a new potential way to kill zombies. Who knows!

Darwin’s scatterbrained ways makes themselves known in other ways too. He often forgets to return things he’s borrowed, forgets to do his homework, forgets what days exams are on, etc. He seems to have trouble remembering names and his room is a mess. For that matter, Darwin is a bit of a mess. His hair is frizzy and full of fly-aways, usually tied back just to keep it out of the way. His clothes are rumpled and mismatched, his eyebrows are almost alarmingly large, and he actually ties his wand to himself with a bit of magic chain to keep from misplacing it.

Considering his, ah, quirks, you might be surprised to learn that Darwin is actually intelligent. Very intelligent. Occasionally the stars will align, the blue moon will rise, and Darwin will focus on the here and now, revealing a massive intellect. Most of the time Darwin just can’t be bothered to though, or if he does focus it’s on silly things like strategies to ward off zombie invasions.

Like with most highly intelligent people, Darwin’s intelligence sets him apart. To him, most people seem pretty dumb, and life in turns feels mundane, infuriating, and hopeless. As a result, Darwin started focusing on his little escapist habits instead, spending more and more time off in his own little world, to where now it’s difficult to tell when Darwin being crazy and when he's acting crazy.

Another trait Darwin shares with the intelligent but socially inept is that he fits in most social circles about as well as a brick flies, which is to say not at all. He has trouble picking up on things like sarcasm, innuendos, body language, and subtle social cues. Those times when you just know that you should keep quiet or lie? Yeah, well, Darwin always misses those memos. Even if he got them, he'd probably ignore some of them because he ignores expectations he thinks are silly. He moves to the beat of a different drummer, and most of the time he's perfectly fine with that.

When you consider all these things, it’s probably not surprising that Darwin’s not entirely sure what to do with “friends,” since he rarely has them, and certainly not in great number. He may be awkward around them in a sort of hapless-puppy way, but he’ll support them as best he can and be loyal to the end.

Habits: Blaming squirrels, day-dreaming/zoning-out

Hobbies: Reading, star-gazing, bird watching, zombie preparation

Likes: Muggle literature, space, feathers, socks

Dislikes: Squirrels, zombies

FAMILY
Mother: Thelma Okun: Pureblood, British, Gryffindor. Met Albert by rescuing him from bullies at Hogwarts. Coerced him into dating him and later proposed to him; definitely wears the pants in the couple.
Father: Albert Okun: Pureblood, British, Ravenclaw. A slightly less extreme version of Darwin.
Siblings: Corwin Okun = Darwin's little brother, goes by "Cory."
Extended Family:
  • "Uncle" Michael Forlong = Muggleborn, Ravenclaw. Childhood friend of Albert Okun, godfather of Darwin and Corwin.
  • Elizabeth Forlong = Michael Forlong's muggle mother, adoptive grandmother of Darwin and Corwin.
  • George Forlong = Michael Forlong's muggle father, adoptive grandfather of Darwin and Corwin.

Relationship with Family: Darwin is close to his immediate family, which to him includes the Forlongs. They love him and accept his quirks, and he loves them back. He's not as close to the rest of the extended Okun family, mainly because he doesn't seem them nearly as often.

HISTORY
General History: Darwin Okun happens to be a Pureblood, although he has cousins that are not. In recent years the Okun family underwent a shift, caring less and less about blood purity. In fact, Darwin's godfather - his father's best friend - is a muggleborn. Darwin's father insisted that his children learn about muggles, so he sent them to live with their godfather's parents on the weekends.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Darwin's Sorting was surprisingly long. It wasn't because the Hat didn't know where to put Darwin; the Hat knew it'd put Darwin in Ravenclaw two seconds after Darwin put it on. No, the reason the Sorting took so long was because in that first second Darwin put it on, he asked the Hat if it was going to regurgitate a white rabbit on his head, and from there Darwin and the Hat struck up a brief but amusing conversation.

Boggart: Giant zombie squirrel = Darwin's two greatest obsessions/fears combined into one, then put on steroids!

Mirror of Erised: Darwin at home, reading a book in front of the fire in the family library, Cory sitting next to him, tossing his pet Puffskein up in the air, and his parents playing wizarding chess nearby The reason Darwin would currently see this is because he was leery of going to Hogwarts, of being surrounded by so many of physical - but not mental - peers. He knows his family loves and accepts him, but he's not sure how he'll fit in at Hogwarts.

EXTRA CREDIT
Patronus: Owl = First, Darwin likes birds. Second, Owls are believed to be smart and solitary, like Darwin. Third, large owls are big enough to eat squirrels.

Manner of Dress: Rumpled, mismatched, haphazard. Darwin likes color and patterns, but doesn't have a clue how to put them together. He also has a tendency to leave his clothes on the floor, or to just ball them up and shove them in his trunk, leaving them wrinkled.

Favorite Class: Astronomy = It involves space, and Darwin likes space.

Worst Class: History of Magic = Too many boring details. Details have never been Darwin's strong suit.

GENERAL
Name: Belenus Aurelian Bishop, affectionately known as Babs.
Gender: Male
Birthday: 23rd June
House: Slytherin
Blood Status: Mixed
Wand: Ebony, 11 and a half inches, dragon heartstring core, unyielding
Wand Hand: left

PERSONALITY
General: He is seen as distant and cold, because he does not find friends or form bonds easily, nor does he seem to have any desire to. He is very goal oriented, and ambitious, willing to use any means necessary to accomplish them. That is not to say that he is a dull boy. He enjoys a well-played prank just as well as the next boy. And on occasion may even be caught as one of the active participants, not just an ‘innocent’ bystander. He was never that interested in sports or physical pursuits – they tend to be team oriented, and he doesn’t work well with others, unless he is in a position of leadership- this has left him somewhat smaller and weaker than others.
Habits: For the most part, he is an average boy of his age, though less like to show any emotion or reaction except in a few notable instances.
When nervous- he has a tendency to babble about anything and everything until someone tells him to shut up. After which he bounces on his feet slightly.
when scared (which he will never admit to)- he rubs the touchstone he tends to carry in his pocket everywhere, unless he is alone, then he will pull out his favorite plushie to cuddle with.
When startled- he jumps ever so slightly and squeaks.

Hobbies:he enjoys potions making, playing chess and other games of strategy, and reading fantasy and science fiction novels. He will fly recreationally only, using time in the air to clear his head or de-stress from studying.
Favorite Classes: potions, charms, transfiguration
Least Favorite classes: history of magic, defense against the dark arts, care of magical creatures
Likes: peace/quiet/solitude, nature, reading, flying – though he doesn’t like quidditch,
Dislikes: noise, too many people (he’s slightly agoraphobic)

FAMILY
Mother: Nyneave Asteria Bishop nee Breighton
Father: Corint Acquila Bishop
Siblings: Caolinn (witch, unknown), Breyan (wizard, deceased)
Extended Family:
Maternal- grandparents: Catherine and Alberich Breighton (halfblood/muggle)
Uncles: (n/a)
Aunts: Cellian and Nora (muggle/squib)
Cousins: Taylon, Marty and Jeice, (muggle/muggle/showing magical traits—unconfirmed wizard)

Paternal- grandparents: Melanie and Acquila Bishop (witch/wizard, deceased)
Uncles: Ashford, Germaine and Mordeth (wizard/wizard/wizard, Deceased/imprisoned/living abroad)
Aunts: Tayrienne and Iribeth (witch/witch, remarried/committed suicide)
Cousins: none claimed, though Mordeth has several bastards running around

Relationship with Family:There is a close, tight-knit relationship between those who are alive, and those who have magic. Otherwise, the non-magicals are tolerated though treated as somewhat of a dirty secret. One of the very youngest in the family, a child born to his parents well after they had expected to have more children, Babs was both welcomed and more than a bit of a surprise. He is generally well-liked among his family, and is very very spoiled.

HISTORY
General History: Born to his parents well into their middle age, he was a surprise and delight, especially after the tragic loss of their firstborn during training. Belenus was still a young child when his sister, the only remaining sibling he had disappeared. All he remembers of her is an infectious laugh, gentle hands and a deep sadness. He had little contact with his mom’s family with the exception of presents and a short note on his birthday and other holidays, at least until he was about seven when his cousin Jeice was born.

There was a great deal of tragedy on his father’s side of the family, with one uncle dying and the other being imprisoned shortly after each other. He did not understand death and politics at the time, being only seven and a half. All he knew was that he once had three uncles, but now he only had one. And then his aunts disappeared. One through death as she could not bear the shame of her husband being imprisoned. And the other when she re-married.

Though Nyneave and Corint tried to keep Belenus sheltered, he realized that this wasn’t normal, so he turned to books and studying. The more he read and learned and understood, the more he was determined to be better than his uncles and siblings. He would bring pride to his family and wash away the shame and stigma they left behind, he would be someone for the family to be proud of.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Belenus’ family ran the gamut when it came to the Houses they were Sorted in at Hogwarts- from a cousin who was in Hufflepuff, to his sainted older brother who was in Ravenclaw, his mum was a Gryffindor and his favorite uncle who was a Slytherin. He knew that there were merits to each house, and no matter where he went, his parents would be proud of him. He was interested to see just where the Hat would place him.

He was fairly certain he wouldn’t be a Hufflepuff, he wasn’t friendly enough, he knew that much at least. And he really couldn’t see himself in Gryffindor, even if it would please his mum it just… he would definitely not fit in in that boisterous House. If asked, he would say he would fit in best in Ravenclaw, and that was his secret hope. But no matter, the choice wasn’t his was it? The Hat would know where he belonged, he would just have to wait and see.

Not for long, he noticed as he breathed out. While he had been lost in thought the line had moved forward enough that there were only two people ahead of him in line. There were some perks to having a last name like Bishop. It usually meant he would get things over with that much sooner. He clenched his hands and tried to ignore the sweat that slicked his palms. He just couldn’t wait for this ordeal to be over.

“Belenus Aurelian Bishop.” He winced as his name was called…. Yeah he loved his parents, but there were times he wondered just what the hell they were on when they named him. Belenus stepped up to the stool and sat, waiting for the Hat to be placed on his head and his fate for the next seven years to be decided.

“So little one…you wish Ravenclaw.’ The voice whispered into his mind. ”You have the mind for it, no doubts there, but the fit would not be so comfortable as you would wish.” Belenus started at that cryptic remark, but before he could even ask what the Hat meant by that he heard the Hat call out “Slytherin.”

Well, that was bizarre, Belenus thought as he stepped down and made his way to the table and his new housemates. One day he would have to have a chat with the Hat and find out just what it had meant.

Boggart: hoards of small creepy crawly insects, spiders and scorpions. There is just something completely unnatural about anything having so many extra limbs....

Mirror of Erised: Nyneave and Corint standing behind him, their arms around his shoulders as Nyneave murmurs ‘We’re so proud of you, Babs.’
Yeah, it even included that ridiculous nickname...

EXTRA CREDIT

Patronus: Egyptian Jackal

Greatest Treasure: a clumsily hand-sewn wolf plush that Caolinn made for him before she disappeared.

Manner of Dress: well-tailored, high quality clothing, whatever suits the occasion. He prefers dark, neutral colors over anything bright and ostentatious.

Favorite Class: Potions

Worst Class: History of Magic… not that it isn’t interesting or anything. It’s just, it’s so book and memorization oriented. He much prefers to have something that is a little more interactive and hands on.

Wand: Australian Black wood; Phoenix Feather ; Length: 10 inches. extremely sturdy.

PERSONALITY
General:
He’s a very personable and is friendly, but tends to be very shrewd about who he claims as friends. He often “tests” people to see how loyal and trustworthy they are. While he’s smart he doesn’t go out of his way to be helpful to those who aren’t. He sometimes gets into these random spurts of competitiveness just so he can put other kid’s efforts down. He’s rather capricious, and prefers to stray or wander away from what what’s expected of him. He’s very devious and is always coming up with different ways to deal with people who have slighted him in some way. He’s highly imaginative with the punishments he comes up with, so getting on his bad side isn’t very wise.

He can be somewhat mocking in a pleasant sort of way. He rarely ever raises his voice and often times kids don’t realize he’s mocking them until much later. He’s a smooth talker and tends to come across as really charming, despite his scheming ways.

He’s something of a rebel and highly detests rules, though he’s not about to break them where he can be noticed. When he’s caught in the act of breaking one, he’s polite and will submit to the authority figure without argument. He can be rather arrogant, especially towards people who agree with him too readily and don’t have much of a backbone.

Habits: Shaking his bangs out of his eyes , Sticking his hands in the back of his pants, Using people as arm rests.
Hobbies: Fencing, Football *soccer*, Rugby, Riding Horses, Debating.
Likes: Being Active, horses, football, Geneology, History, Messing around, Controversy.
Dislikes:
People who are readily agreeable, those that suck up to him because of his social status, Detention, Cleaning, Dull unimaginative kids, Weird people.

FAMILY
Mother: Maris (Johannesburg) Alvesleben, Pure blood, Ravenclaw, 30s. She’s a very temperamental, volatile and high strung individual. She’s hard to get along with, probably why she didn’t stay married very long to her husband. She’s rather smug about the fact that Lothar was put into her House.

Father: Alesander Alvesleben, Pureblood, Slytherine, 30s. He’s a debonair type of fellow, very suave and a sort of lady's man. However, since he's divorced his wife, he hasn't been dating seriously. One day perhaps when his son is older he'll start looking again. He tries to always put his son first, when his duties as a Duke don't take all his attention.

Siblings: N/A
Extended Family: (Paternal Grandparents)
Henric Alvesleben, Pureblood, Wizard, Slytherin
Eloise (Duriant), Pureblood, Witch, Ravenclaw

(Maternal Grandparents)
Josepheus Johannesburg, Pureblood, Wizard, Ravenclaw
Katharine (), Pureblood, Witch, Gryffindor

Great Uncle Aleksander, Wizard, Ravenclaw
Great Aunt Doris, Witch, Griffyndor
Second Cousin, Abelard Alvesleben, Wizard, Linguist/Professor, Ravenclaw (deceased)
3rd Cousin, Louvenia Valora Alvesleben, 11, Ravenclaw

Relationship with Family:

He doesn't really have much of a relationship with his mother and is perfectly fine with that. He rather resents her for rejecting him as a baby and wants nothing to do with her. He never reads the stupid letters or cards she sends, he normally burns them and then just fudges about what they said inside.

He's really close with his father, they spend a lot of time debating over controversial topics at the dinner table. It makes for a rather lively dinner time..much to the horror of the House Elves. They usually go into hiding after serving them. They also spend time fencing, and riding horses together when his father has spare time from his duty as acting Duke.

He's pretty close with his Cousin Louvenia, and despite their constant need to compete for grades and in other things they do they enjoy each other's company. They're often reading the same books and tend to discuss what they liked or didn't care for in them. They also spend a lot of time doing research on their ancestors and are working on an up to date book on the Alvesleben line. It will probably take them years to compile enough stories.

He's not very close to either set of his grandparents, mostly because they rejected him as well when he was young. His father's parents do come to visit and try to spoil him to death, by giving him things that he really wants and his father won't get him. Lothar finds it funny that people think objects can buy his affections. He is usually super polite but brutally honest with what he thinks of this.

HISTORY
General History: Born on February 17th in Dortmund Germany to a Royal; Alesander Alvesleben, and Maris Bundt; a pureblood witch of Swedish Descent; Lothar was born into a family that had high expectations and goals for him. This changed when his his bright blonde hair darkened to a golden brown withing four months of being born, and his eyes turned from bright cerulean blue to a muddy brown. His Grandparents on both sides were completely shocked and horrified with his transformation, not to mention very disappointed. His mother, a blond haired blue eyed Swede was rather infuriated and blamed it on her husband. She even took to referring to him as the "Mud Monster" and refused to have anything with him, despite his Pure blood status.

Thankfully his father wasn't as shallow as the rest of the family and took great care in raising his son to not be as stuck up or concerned with looks. Having been forced into an arranged marriage, Alesander immediately started the process of divorcing his wife. He had no wish to remain married to a woman that was so callous. Four months later she was out of their lives and cozying up to a much blonder count.

Disgusted with his push and judgmental family, Alesander cut of all ties and retreated with his son to his Great Uncle Lestharo's mansion. His Great Uncle had no family of his own and was getting on in age. The addition of a gurgling happy 14 month old brought a sudden youth back into the older man. He loved to spoil Lothar as often as he could, despite Alesander's protests.

It was at Lestharo's mansion where Lothar first became exposed to magic from several smitten House Elves, Fancy and Nory, the two female House Elves first used their magic to soothe him to sleep and to entertain him when he was fussy. Alesander had no idea what was going on until he walked in on them one night when they were making an elaborate light show over his crib to put him to sleep.

Seeing how enthralled his son was, Alesander decided it would be a good idea to have his son grow up seeing it and growing used to it. That way it wouldn't be such a shock later on when he discovered it. Bye the time Lothar was four, seeing magic was as common to him as breathing. It still fascinated him however..and he's always wanted to do it.

His childhood didn't change much from before; though his father had many more responsiblities having been named Duke of his region of Germany. Lothar was often left to his own devices, which meant he was spending his time exploring the mansion, spying on guest, and playing pranks on the House Elves. Until the House Elves had enough and brought his shennanigans to the attention of his father.

His father decided it was time his five year old start schooling and hired a tutor to start instructing him in the finer arts of life. Lothar hated this change, but he actually took a liking to learning and found out that it came rather easily to him. He started reading everything he could get his hands on, and discovered that with the art of proper etiquette came the art of insulting others but with a finesse to it.

He took up horsemanship and fencing when he got older, and thrived in both of them. He loved competing and showing other kids how it was done properly. Of course, he had more opportunities to practice so he was always a little better than others. And having exceptional teachers that paid him their full attention didn't hurt either.

Sadness struck Lothar and his father when the elderly Lestharo passed away in his sleep. They had seen it coming for a few years, as he had been growing weaker and slower and wasn't able to function properly. It was somewhat of a relief that he had died in his sleep and hadn't suffered when he went. It was a big surprise however when they found his will and discovered that he had left everything he had owned to them. There was millions in pounds in Gringotts, as well as jewels, swords and all manner of things that were worth a great deal of money. It was a surprise to find that Lestharo had owned four castles; especially since they had lived in the one mansion for so long.

It was around this time that his cousin Louvenia came to live with them after horrible deaths of her parents. Lothar had no idea how to act around a girl, and didn't really know how to treat her. He learned pretty fast that she was just as competitive and able to surpass him in a lot of areas. While he won't say it he admires and respects her for her focus and tenacity. He sometimes wishes he were more like her.

When he turned eleven he wasn't surprised to get a letter from Hogwarts inviting him to the school. His father had told him stories all about the place and how much fun it would be. He was rather excited about being able to go to a new place and get to learn new things that his father and teachers had hinted at for years.

He was overjoyed when his father decided that it was time they travel and whisked him and his cousin off to England so they could get to know the place better before they went there for school. They even got a private tour of the school much to his delight. It was an eye opener for him and he couldn't help but get pumped up for the start of the school year. Though he hoped that his cousin would also get a letter so they could go together. It just wouldn't be the same with out her.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting:

Boggart:
Still working on..
Mirror of Erised:
Lothar stood in front of the mirror, frowning. How exactly was this thing supposed to work? And then as if it had read his mind it blurred slightly and he saw a rather beautiful red head girl standing next to him dressed in a white gown. He frowned. Was that a wedding dress?
What exactly was this thing showing him.

Then he saw a woman behind him crying her eyes out who look suspiciously like his mother. The mother that had practically walked out on him at four months old because he hadn't looked like her.

He watched with glee when his mirror self turned around and raised his wand and zapped the woman. The lady in the mirror shrieked and looked down at her hands in horror as her skin began to turn a putrid green color. He let out a laugh when he saw that her hair was turning a muddy brown color and her eyes had gone black.

Patronus:
An Ocelet

Greatest Treasure: His Wit, at least for now.

Manner of Dress: His uniform and tie are always perfectly pressed and without wrinkles. He hates when his uniform gets dirty, as it shows bad taste and teachers tend to notice and dole out demerits for it. When not in class, he tends to wear clothing that is clean but doesn't care if it gets mussed or not. He's not as particular, though he always strives to look good.

Favorite Class: History of Magic

Worst Class:
Probably Divination and he'll have difficulties with Transfiguration as well

HISTORY
General History: Horus spends a lot of time with his mom over his dad when they were little, mostly cause he tried to stay away from his abusive father. His mother likes talking to him about everything. Before she died they had grown out his hair, it was the same blond beautiful color as his mothers, his hair had been almost to his waist when she died and he had loved sitting there and letting his mother braid it and wash it and clean it. A week before the social services came for him his his father got on him abut his hair, how he looked like his dead mother, and how it made him look like a girl and he was a proud father to a SON Not a Daughter! And his SON would NOT look like a GIRL. So he had held Horus down and cut off his long hair. He was put into an orphanage the next day. He still lives here at the orphanage but hes happy, he likes it, he smiles and hes smart. He likes to learn and be happy.

MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: Horus was so nervous when he walked up to the hat infront of his new school. He felt naked and lost with out his hair to hid in when he felt shy. It wasn't often that he was shy but around this many new people all looking at HIM he felt shy and wanted to hide in his hair. He was scared that he would be in a house that would make his father even more mad with him then he was already. But when he sat and the hat touched his head for half a second it shouted out "RAVENCLAW" And he had smiled and knew at least his father would be ok with that. He smiled and headed to his new table glad to be in a house he was sure he would fit into.

Boggart: His boggart turns into his father. Yelling at him and calling him useless and telling him hes not his son. That hes a huge disappointment to the family and no one loves him. That his mother just puts up with it cause hes her only child and the doctors said she cant have any more kids and that its his fault too.

Mirror of Erised: The Mirror shows him and his mom and dad having a picnic and his mother sitting on the blanket with the food watching him and his dad playing a one on one game of quidditch. Something Horus had always wanted to learn but his father hadn't had the time and then had refused to teach him after he said he liked boys.
