August 22nd 3839 Update!
In recent days, there have been several surprises around the globe! Of course, our viewers should be so used to the regular occurrences outside the walls, that they will hardly be surprises...but that isn't the point now is it!? If you're listening in, folks, we've got a hell of a show for you today, and I hope you'll stay tuned till the bitter end. From B.A.I.T.R Tournaments to continental meteors, this one's jam packed folks. But, I won't keep you waiting any longer, lets get right on into this!
~~~~Our first main topic of the day is the mass recruitment drive that we've been seeing B.A.I.T.R make as of late! That's right! Even though there has been a lull in new operatives for the anti A.I. agency, they have managed to pull up their socks, and it has been reported that there have been dozens of new and promising recruits from the agency that are getting their feet wet in the world, and will soon be dispatched to begin operations globally. This, as always, is a good sign. Perhaps they'll begin taking back a little more of the territory that we've lost, and we can have something to celebrate again! We'll be rooting for them! Each and every one of them!
It seems that they have rigged up a tournament of some kind, for the first of the new recruits to be tested in, and eight of the newest recruits were selected from the global B.A.I.T.R offices. After a few surprising rounds of combat, two of the green trainees have made it to the pinnacle of the tournament. A certain 'Dal'Mori Cestrol Menne' and 'Faelan McBride'. These two young fighters will be in the limelight, for certain! As you can see by the pictures broadcasted, we've got a lean, mean, massively tall, fellow with a spear--Dal'Mori--and he has beaten out his opponents every single match without much resistance. See here how he knocked out his first opponent, Acel Corinthian Belgarde, with little trouble. ---(Insert video segment of Acel smiling as Dal'Mori crushes his face with a wicked punch)--- And, later on, against Sarah Hartwell, his second opponent, he was victorious, sustaining two attacks from his opponent before defeating her as well. ---(Insert clip of Sarah landing throwing knife attack followed by the image of Dal'Mori's final punch landing on Sarah and sending her tumbling into unconsciousness)---Now, the opponent he will be facing in the finals is an underdog! She has bested her first opponent, Akio Kawaguchi, the son of the corporate monster, Katsu Kawaguchi, and a revered engineer, and selected by the head of the organization, Mr. Cain Mephisto himself, to go straight to the finals instead of facing a second opponent for the position. She's got a strange air about her, but the way she has moved shows that she has previous experience in the battlefield. ---(Insert clip of the final strike, Faelan knocking Akio onto his butt with a shoulder punch, meant for his chest)--- This dark horse is a surprise to everyone, but their final battle will be broadcast live, if you want to tune in later today to see the climax of this tournament take place!
~~~~In other news, the world has been shaken today by a series of inexplicable seismic events. There were multiple objects seen flying through the sky in different areas of the world--a single impact zone created in each continent of the world. Some people are trying to dismiss it as coincidence, and that it is nothing but small meteorites having made it to the ground without fully breaking apart--but we have exclusive coverage of a civilian making their way to the impact zone, recovered by a baiter team. Ladies and gentleman, you may find this footage disturbing. If you have children watching this program with you, we suggest you remove them from the room.

The bright light shrieked through the sky, and the camera followed it, carefully tracing its descent to the Earth, and when the impact took place, easily a few miles from where the recorder was, there was an audible rumble, and the ground shook. The man's voice was laced with a thick Australian accent, but as he filmed the man exclaimed multiple times, 'Jesus Christ, did you see that!?' 'What the hell was that?'. The camera cut out, as they turned it off, and then as it returned to service, they were climbing a rocky hill, the dirt freshly turned up, and when they hit the top of it, they were staring down into a crater that was ten feet wide and easily twenty feet deep--a strange crystal sitting in the base of the crater that began to glow as the civilian looked down at it. Suddenly the crystal shed its outer layer, looking as though it deteriorated away into nothing, being eaten by the blue light that coated it slowly from tip to tip. In its place, after the light dimmed was a cat-like humanoid robot, and the citizen's voice could be heard saying 'oh god, oh god, oh no' as the camera turned and he began to run. There was a blur in front of him, an object passing by him, and suddenly the camera lurched forward and hit the ground, tumbling a short distance away before it turned to show the scene behind it--a man's legs standing with no torso above the waist, and then suddenly the legs fell forward and the blood washed over the camera as it cut out.

As you can see, these meteorites, from wherever they may have originated from, are not mere rocks. They are some sort of code casing for the A.I. that we've been fighting for decades. Though, the way that they have been sent out has caused global alarm, as it looks like some sort of formulated plot--we have tried to speak with the B.A.I.T.R organization about this, but they had little in response, other than the fact that they have their top members looking into the matter. They added that civilians should not, for any reason, leave the walls of the main cities within the continents, and any villages, or settlements that have been self-sustained should be extremely cautious in this time, as we don't know what these things are, or where they have come from. The video shown today was filmed in the South American region of Mount Roraima. These enemies are extremely dangerous, and should be avoided at all cost. The impact zones for the meteors are as follows:
North America: Appalachian Mountains (Found in Appalachian Rigs)
South America: Atop Mount Roraima (Found in Eyes of Roraima)
Africa: In the rainforest of the Congo (Found in Congo Basin)
Europe: Scotland (Found in Cairngorms)
Asia: Pakistan (Found in Chashma Nuclear Plant)
Australia: Outback, in the Giant's Plains (Found in Giants Plains)
Until further notices, these regions of the world have been raised to Danger Level 2--only experienced baiters can access them, and that goes to show just how dangerous these enemies might be, though that is all that they have had to say about it thus far. However--we will be sure to update you on the situation as it unfolds!
~~~~Continuing on, there has been multiple reports coming from the Chicago region--a self sustained baiterless city that many people look up to as one of the first regions that doesn't need constant B.A.I.T.R supervision to survive, of odd occurrences in the underground city systems. In this labyrinth of access tunnels and electrical systems, workers have been reported to lose bits and pieces of their memory, or become so lost that they have been unable to find their way back out--only being found later by fellow employees who help them out of the tunnels. These reports have grown more common, and the city has become afraid enough to seek B.A.I.T.R's assistance in finding the source of these events. Whether it be a gas leak effecting their wellbeing, or if it is some sort of failure on the A.I. Shield's part from keeping the A.I. out of the city, nobody knows. A team, however, was dispatched just today in order to look into it. They were tight-lipped at first, but we have found out that the members are three rookies who were recently involved in the tournament we spoke of. Acel Belgarde--the man who was defeated in the first round by Dal'Mori, the heavy hitting spearman in the finals, is one of the three man team. Sarah Hartwell, Dal'Mori's second victim, and also a beloved musician of Chicago origins, part of the famous Hartwell family of musicians, is also a member of this team, as she has recently found herself taking on the role of a baiter over musician. We will surely have more on this as it unfolds! And the last member of the three man team is Akio Kawaguchi, also defeated in the first round, by Faelan McBride, the second member chosen to go straight through to the finals. These three rookies have been dispatched to deal with Chicago's mysterious events, and the world will be watching to see what it is that they do.
~~~~Lastly, something that many people may want to stay tuned for, as always, is the combat zones of Paris. They have recently stepped up their game, and some heavy hitters have been taking out every and all opponents that come their way. These guys are so strong that they are allowing baiters to enter the ring against them, fearing that no average man or woman is capable of defeating these monsters. They've gained a huge reputation, and those who were to take down these beasts would gain one hell of a fan following! We'll see just who comes up against these beasts soon!
~~~~As the new baiters all begin to make their way out of the first steps of training, we will keep track, following their movements, and seeing if we have any rising stars. Perhaps the B.A.I.T.R organization has finally begun preparing for the counterattack we have all dreamed of, though only time will tell.
