Cairngorms

Cairngorms, Scotland is an extremely rural, rocky area. There is little in the way of advanced civilization in any direction, and even if a higher level baiter wanted to, it is not easy to find cityscapes within this section of the world. However, there are plenty of age-old medieval style castle fortifications here, and they serve for great places to hunker down for a night. Some of them even have other out-of-city settlers residing in them who wouldn't mind help with some tasks in return for whatever they may have stored away for a rainy day. There are plenty of oddities within the United Kingdom that have gone unsolved for thousands of years, and the glyphs and carvings in the rocks of the highlands are said to be clues to some greater goal. Some sort of secret that was left behind before humanity trode the Earth.
The people are gruff, but kind, and they value a hard days work more than most people. They need very little to be happy, and as long as trouble isn't being made, they will welcome visitors with open arms. Cairngorms is currently where almost 90% of the world's natural wool comes from. Now that most materials are digi-structed with the alien technology, the natural way of things has faded for most people. But not here.
