I look something like this... Despite the number of years that she has been living, Noriko's stature is no higher than 5' 4" with the age appearance of 14 years old. She has dark black hair that reaches the halfway mark on her back, and she possesses chocolate brown eyes. She wears her hair out usually with a white headband, and her eyes seem to be fixed in an indifferent facial expression. Her skin is pale peach in colour.

It scares me to think... One of Noriko's most intimate fears is that she would not be able to save the person that she is trying to protect.

Inside-out, I am... At heart, Noriko is a peacekeeper. She does not like fighting, and engages only when it is necessary on her part. She is courteous to everyone with whom she comes into contact, but she keeps her distance. She has lost too many people already in one lifetime to be willing in making any connections beyond an office relationship. She is not cold, but she is aware that that is how she may come across at times. In battle, she delays physical confrontation on her part until her opponent makes an attempt to harm her or someone else. She refuses to draw her blade first, opting for Hakuda if it is necessary to fight. She is hardworking off the battlefield as well. On the subject of romance, Noriko thinks that it is yuckiest thing in existence. In her spare time, which is also her alone time, Noriko can be found reading literature from the World of the Living, usually nothing from this century. If not, look for her in the Jubantai Training Grounds, practicing her skills. She tries not to be around too many people at a time if any. This is her choice and she frowns on anyone trying to change her. One quirk is that she is not pleased with her height.

This is my story so far... On 4th May, 1874, Noriko was born in the World of the Living. Her parents were common place people with no entitlements of any kind. She attended the poorest educational institutions available to her and kept her head down, not making enemies and friends alike. However, there was one remarkable thing about her that she could not understand fully in her formative years in this world. For as long as young Noriko could remember, she was able to see spirits, usually those of late relatives. After receiving quite a beating from her parents for talking about relatives who had passed away, Noriko learned to keep her thoughts to herself. So, when she began to see other types of spirits, bad spirits, she tried her best not to show fear. However, once the Hollows realized that she had enough spirit energy to see them, word began to spread amongst them about her existence. One day, around the age of nine years old, she was walking home with her mother when four Hollow appeared around them. Immediately, little Noriko began to shake uncontrollably, wetting her pants in the midst of her fear. Eventually, she stopped in her tracks, watching in horror as the Hollows enclosed the space in which she and her mother were walking. Her minute hands tugged worriedly on her mother's arm, trying to pull her in any other direction, a safe direction. Unfortunately, the older woman did not heed her daughter's concerns, grabbing the girl up into her arms unwittingly out of the way of one of the Hollow's attempt to impale her with a tentacle. The limb dug into the pavement instead, sending the pair flying a few meters. Realizing that her life was in danger as well at this point, Noriko's mother shot up at once, running across busy streets and just trying her best to stay alive. Unfortunately, it was all for naught as all of her frenzied shuffling throughout the city ended in a dead-end alleyway. She clung unto the child in her arms, her back to the outside world as she pressed Noriko into the corner, a desperate attempt to shield the girl after all these years. When the gigantic finger of another Hollow pierced through her mother and into her inevitably, Noriko screamed louder than she had ever done. As a soul, she thought that the chase was over. The creatures had killed her and her mother. What more could they want?

"Leave me alone!" She screamed again, drifting off to somewhere else, anywhere else. She tried to hide as much as she could but it was futile in the end. Far above the makeshift town that she had called home for so many years, Noriko wept weakly as she could only await her eventual demise at the hand of the Hollows around her. She curled in on herself, just waiting for what would happen without any assistance from her. Her ears listened intently as the Hollows rushed in on her huddled form. It seemed that this would be the end and somehow, when she raised her head slightly from her knees, there was an older girl holding off all of the hollows with both of her hands effectively. That was it.

"Are you okay?" the female Shinigami asked through gritted teeth.

Noriko did not know what to say as she took in the sight before her, amazed. Simply, the nine year old girl nodded.

"Good. Now, close your eyes and this will be all over soon."

Silently, Noriko ducked her head into her lap once more. She listened carefully as this strange woman unsheathed her blade and sliced through all of the creatures in one smooth movement. She did not open her eyes until she felt human hands encircling hers.

"Hey, you can come up for air now. They're gone, but more will be back. What's your name?"

"Iba Noriko."

"Well, Ms. Noriko, I'm Aki Tsukino. Do me a favour when you cross over, join the Shino Academy, k?"

Despite not understanding one thing that was said to her, Noriko nodded dumbly before the bottom of Tsukino's blade tapped her forehead and she found herself falling. Before she was submerged completely in the Konso, Noriko's last visual was Tsukino being thrown to the side and subsequently, devoured by even more Hollows. It felt like forever before she felt someone kicking her out of the way on a dirt road. She winced involuntarily, but managed to prop herself up to take in her surroundings. It seemed familiar as if she remembered it from a past dream. Before someone else could inflict anymore bodily harm, Haru scampered closer to the buildings on her side of the street. She tried to stand instantly, but crashed to the floor in a moment.
Her body felt so weak, so empty.

"Hungry, huh?" A youthful male voice caught her attention. She turned to see a cheerful, freckled face around her age. He reached out to help her to stand. When she nodded in reply, he made a noise to express that he was impressed. "Out of the Living and already you have spirit energy to that extent?"

She did not comprehend still, but she gathered what strength she had to utter the words 'Shino Academy'.

The boy grinned at her. "No problem, but you have to eat something first or you won't be able to sit the entrance exam even. I'm Miho, by the way."

Noriko swallowed tightly before saying softly, "Noriko." She and Miho were friends from that day onward. He had died a few hundred years before her during some war. He could not remember much his past life. He taught her all that she needed to know about the Soul Society and what being hungry means in a place like that. After half of a century had passed, the pair applied to the Shino Academy together. While Miho was placed in Advanced classes, Noriko settled on ordinary placement. Thus, they did not see much of each other in school, but they played on their days off. During their second year, there was a special assignment that required both Advanced and regular students to be sent to the World of the Living. Noriko and Miho stuck like glue to each other during the whole trip. There was not that much difference in their abilities due to a lack of studying on their part. This became the death of one of them as a few Hollow appeared randomly in the area. Experienced students were able to contact the Seireitei for help, but losses were inevitable. Unfortunately, in the squabble to exit the area safely, Noriko witnessed the death of Miho as he tried to save her. Tears fell abundantly from her eyes as higher-ranked Shinigami entered and secured their departure from the World of the Living.

Something changed for the girl after that experience. She did not want to be saved anymore at the cost of anymore lives. Her teachers and colleagues alike noted the marked difference in her personality as well as her study habits and class performances. She trained assiduously to become better, keeping Miho, Tsukino, and her mother in mind. They had died for her. She will live for them. Without meaning for it happen, she fell in love with Hakuda and Kido while maintaining a noticeable strength for Kendo as well. She began to master as many techniques and abilities as she could, finishing most of her courses by the end of her third year. She graduated early in her fourth year. With her developed expertise in Hakuda, it was recommended that she apply to the Covert Ops, the Second Division of the Gotei 13.

That was almost a century ago. During that time, she continued to display an ever-increasing proficiency in Hakuda, training everyday with higher-ranked officers from both the Covert Ops and Gotei 13. In the early days of such exploits, she could not land a single punch sometimes on her opponent, despite her classes in the Academy. There was that much difference between her level and that of a more experienced Hakuda practitioner. This did not deter her from her goal at all. In fact, she used it as incentive to become stronger, faster, and more agile in her movements. As time progressed, she asked for tips on what she can do to improve. Thankfully, she trained with people willing to give that information. She took it to heart, everything that they shared with her. She ran everyday with weights strapped to her ankles to strengthen her legs as well as to increase her speed. Eventually, she learned how to seal off her spiritual pressure completely, so as to allow it to build over time. In addition, Noriko studied stealth tactics and strategies based on a number of situations. She wanted to become the most skilled and valued member of the Covert Ops, under the guidance of their leader.

As more years passed, she was able to fight with the same aforementioned officers on equal footing, taking in all that she could learn before, after, and during the practice sessions. Due to this steady improvement in her internalization of the very statutes of the Covert Ops, she was able to move up within the ranks until finally, she was a member of the Executive Militia, the First Branch. Her appointed post was Lieutenant, second only to the Commander of the Covert Ops. For another fifty years, she stayed with this organization and focused on the battle strategies and physical combat exclusively. She had no interest in awakening any spirit that may or may not be living within the Asauchi blade that she had been given during her graduation from the Shino Academy. However, this was not her fate.

One night, Noriko was yanked out of her slumber by the shrieks of various officers as random craters took form across the division grounds. Horror plagued her facial features as she ran out to see how she could help, but there was nothing that she could do. During the night, her immense spiritual pressure had leaked out and unknown to her, she harbors powers based on characteristics of the moon. By the next morning, it was realized that Noriko was the source of the damage to the area. Despite the incident being dismissed as an accident, Noriko felt troubled by the possibility that she could have injured someone terribly last night. So instead of taking up her Captain's offer to train her personally, Noriko opted to seek counsel from another division within the Gotei 13 on how to control this power and not cause anymore harm to the innocent. Her search led her to the doors of the Jubantai, where she applied for the post of Lieutenant.

Tesshō (鉄掌, Iron Palm)
An open palm strike which can effortlessly shatter a Hollow's head with a single strike. Capable of dealing an additional damage of 2 HP to NPCs or reduces the mask duration of a Vizard by 3 posts upon direct hit.

Sandbag Beat (サンドバッグ・ビート, Sandobaggu Bīto)
The practitioner performs multiple extremely fast strikes, causing aggravated damage to a target. The technique is capable of dealing an additional damage of 5 HP to NPCs

Chōhigezutsuki (超ヒゲ頭突き, Super Stubble Headbutt)
A headbutt attack with enough force to send an opponent flying backward a considerable distance.

Kagamibiraki (鏡開, Mirror Opening)
After puncturing their target with the tips of their fingers, the practitioner rips their opponent in half through sheer physical strength.

Combo Kick (コンボキック, Konbokikku)
The practitioner aims a kick at her opponent. They then follow this up with multiple immediate kicks to multiple targets. Capable of dealing damage of 10 HP to NPCs. Do not roll for that turn.

Super Kick (スーパーキック, Sūpā Kikku)
The practitioner crouches down in preparation and then unleashes a powerful kick upwards. Capable of dealing damage of 10 HP to NPCs. Do not roll for that turn.

- Hoho

Dash (Jikkō 実行) - 2 | 3 posts
A quick push off of the ground (or air) allows one to effectively move out of the way an incoming attack or close a distance gap between an opponent. This technique only pushes the user about 1 meter (about 3 feet) in the direction they are moving. Automatically obtained should Air Slide be learned.

Jump (Tobu 飛ぶ) - 2| 3 posts
Spiritual beings are generally more capable of jumping distances that would be considered "superhuman" when they were still alive. The highest a normal Jump can reach is about 5 meters (about 16 feet). Automatically obtained if Soul Jump has been learned.

Air Slide (Kūki Suberu 空気 滑る) - 4 | 6 posts
Much like the Dash technique, Air Slide is initiated when the user pushes off of the ground and in a certain direction. However, Air Slide allows one to "glide" across the ground or up a steep surface.

Air Walk (Kūki Aruku 空気 歩く)
The user collects spirit particles at their feet and is able to remain airborne or gain effective footing when sent flying by an opponent.

Wakehanasu - by Mattrnot | Airwalk required
By using the same principles of airwalk the user pushes their feet not against the ground but against the open space in front of them to quickly push away from their opponent.

Soul Jump (Tamashī Tobu魂 飛ぶ)
The user collects a fairly large amount of spiritual energy at both of their feet then releases all of it at once, sending them flying at high speeds in a single direction. This is generally used to get a higher vantage point or to get atop of higher buildings. This technique is more effective than Jump because it can send a person 15 meters skyward.

#1. Shō (衝, Thrust)

Rudimentary Hadō. Inflicts impact instead of damage. The practitioner points at the target with his/her index finger and generates a small force that thrusts the target back a few feet away from the caster.

#4. Byakurai (白雷, Pale Lightning)

The user gathers high-density spiritual energy and discharges it from both hands. The practitioner points at the intended target with their index finger and generates a concentrated lightning bolt.

#6. Awai Inazuma no Ken ( 淡い稲妻の拳, Fist of Pale Lightning) by Joji-tan

When Byakurai is cast, the spiritual energy is pulled back and wrapped around the caster's arm, which is recoiled in the position before releasing a single punch. Upon release, the strength of both the physical strike and the spell are doubled.

Tsuzuri Raiden is primarily used for offense. The practitioner generates an electric current through any object that he/she touches and that electricity damages anything or anyone that is in contact with the object the current runs through.

#26. Gouzendenkoushimai
"Alike and different, light and dark, halves of an opposite whole united as one, call out now!"
When casting, the user hold their hands out, palms facing upwards. Two spheres of Reiryoku form in their hands, pure black in the right, and pure white in the left. Drawing their hands apart, they then clap their hands together, crashing the spheres into each other. The collision creates a shock-wave of lightning-like Reiryoku in a ninety degree arc in front of them, extending out [20] feet.

#27. Kyōdaina Suiryoku ( 強大な推力, Mighty Thrust) by Joji-tan

Based on Shō (衝, Thrust), the practitioner combines both physical strength and spiritual energy to augment the strength of this simple Kido by one hundred-fold. The closer that they are to the target, the more internal damage that is suffered, such as broken bones and disrupted internal systems. While it can be used as an open hand attack, the destructive force is concentrated when used with a single finger. Its range and area of effect is also greater than that of a normal Shō.

#31. Shakkahō (赤火砲, Red Fire Cannon; English Dub: Red Flame Cannon)
"Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!"
The user generates high-temperature flames and discharges it from both hands. The practitioner generates an orb of crimson red energy in his/her palm or finger. The orb can be any size from small, medium or large depending on the level of power being used. The destructive power released by the blast can vary between a simple explosion to a pillar of energy. In both instances the spell causes concussive as well as burn damage. It is one of the mid-level Hadō spells. The spell is of the common spells taught at the Shin'ō Academy. It tends to be many Shinigami's default offensive spell, for those well versed and not so well versed in Kidō.

#32. Ōkasen (黄火閃, Yellow Fire Flash)

Ōkasen is primarily used for offense. The practitioner raises his/her Zanpakutō horizontally in front of him/her and generates a yellow orb that widens itself along the length of their sword. Once it is fully charged it fires outward as a horizontal blast, in a wide arc of yellow energy at the target. This technique can be launched from the hand instead of a Zanpakutō, albeit producing a shorter arc.

#33. Sōkatsui (蒼火墜, Blue Fire, Crash Down; Pale Fire Crash in early episodes of the English dub)

A flame attack which eradicates the very existence of its target. The practitioner fires an oblong blast of purple spiritual energy from their hand that incinerates a target completely when it makes contact.

#43. Hone no Hahen by Ubiquitouch
"Shatter and return!"
Channeling Reiatsu into their hand, the user strikes the target's chest with a palm strike, exploding the Reiatsu outward. The Reiatsu explosion shatters the bones in the target's chest, before forcible ejecting the shards out their back. Curling their hand into a fist, the user then pulls backwards with their arm, grabbing hold of the shards with the Kido, and pulling them back into the target's body, and out once more through the front. This technique is capable of causing great deals of internal damage.
***The user must be decently skilled and knowledgeable of the basic techniques of Hakuda to be able to use this Kido.

#53. Dante no Sākuru ( ダンテのサークル, Dante's Circle) by Joji-tan

By passing his or her right hand in a circular motion against any solid surface, the practitioner conjures a dark red circle on the ground around the target. Upon completion of the hand movements, a tall column of fire bursts forth within the space of the circle to burn to ashes whatever is caught within it.

Bakudo

#1. Sai (塞, Restrain)

This is a restraining spell that contains the limbs to immobilize the enemy. The practitioner points using his/her index and middle fingers at the intended target(s), causing the target's arms to lock behind their back. The spell is usable on a single target or a significantly large group of people.

#4. Hainawa (這縄, Crawling Rope)
Unknown
Binds enemies with a Reishi rope to stop their movement. The practitioner generates a crackling yellow energy rope within his/her hand(s) and releases toward the opponent. The energy entangles itself around the opponent's arms and body, immobilizing them.

#8. Seki (斥, Repulse)

Seki is primarily used for deflection. The practitioner generates an orb of light blue energy that rebounds an attack when said attack makes contact with it. The effect not only blocks the attack, but repels whatever strikes it.

#9. Geki (撃, Strike)
"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!"
Geki is primarily used for disabling. The practitioner draws the symbols of the spell in the air which causes his/her entire body to permeate a red energy. The same red energy engulfs the body of the target and causes complete paralysis.

#9. Hōrin (崩輪, Disintegrating Circle)

Hōrin is primarily used to disable. The practioner uses the index and middle fingers and generates an orange hued tendril with spiraling yellow patterns to ensnare the opponent as the tendril wraps around their body immobilizing them. The end of it remains in the hands of the user allowing them to control the path of the tendril before and after capture. The Kidō is able to connect with another one of itself if both have captured a target and bind them together.

#16. El Escudo (エル・エスクド, Eru Esukudo; Spanish for "The Shield")

This technique summons a light green barrier when the user lifts their arm to block an incoming attack.

#19. Blinding Threads by Ubiquitouch
"Seal their sight with the silk of Yomi."
Strands of pure black Reiryoku are produced from the user's fingertips, which seek out and wrap around the eyes of the target. No sight can pierce the threads, the target seeing nothing but infinite darkness. Observed from the outside, it appears as though the target is wearing a blindfold made of pure nothingness. The blindfold can be torn off if the target is roughly equal to or above the user in terms of Reiatsu.

#21. Sekienton (赤煙遁, Red Smoke Escape)

Sekienton is primarily used for escape. The practitioner places the palms of their hands down on the ground and red smoke bursts forth from the point of contact, swiftly engulfing the surrounding area and briefly obscuring the movements of whomever is within the smoke, allowing a quick getaway.

#25. Illuminating Path by Ubiquitouch
"I have come, I have advanced hastily. I cast light upon his footsteps. I am hidden, but I cast light upon his hidden place."
A rather simple Kido, it simply creates a shining trail within [50] feet of the user of footsteps that follow those made by the target. They last for [5] posts before fading and needing to be re-cast.
** Though this is a simple Kido, having the target in mind is not enough. In order to successfully cast this, the user must have a clear image of the target's face, know their full name, and have knowledge of what race they are.

#25. Kesshō Hainawa (Kaizō Kidō) (Final Crawling Rope (Modified Kidō)) by Samurai of the Mist

The Shinigami will use their reiryoku to form black chains in a similar manner to the original Bakudō no. 4 Crawling Rope. It moves much quicker and binds with a stronger force than the original, including appear black in reiryoku coloring.
** As the original spell lacks an incantation, so does the modified version.

#26. Kyokkō (曲光, Bent Light)

Hides the physical form and Reiatsu of the caster by bending light light around the caster.

#27. Noren Mekuri (暖簾捲り, Curtain Stripping)

Nullifies types of illusory effects which may be used to conceal something from view. The practitioner, extending their hand, appears as though they are gripping thin air before stripping away the technique which is currently in effect. Doing so creates a light blue and violet aura around the object which is being revealed as it gradually comes into view.

#30. Shitotsu Sansen (嘴突三閃, Beak-Piercing Triple Beam)

Shitotsu Sansen is primarily used to disable. The practitioner generates a burst of crackling yellow energy in his/her palm and uses that energy to draw an inverted yellow triangle. The triangle then generates solidified energy in the shape of triangles from the three points of the inverted triangle. The fired triangles hit the intended target and pin him/her against a nearby surface, slamming into his or her body in three places in the shape of a perfect triangle and immobilize the target.

A translucent wall that is hard to break from the outside, but easy to break from the inside, the caster's side.

#35. Waru Geki (Kaizō Kidō) (Evil Strike (Modified Kidō)) by Samurai of the Mist
"Ye demon from the underworld, the wolf King of Rondanini, be banished from this world and suffer. Agonize and gouge out your own eyes!"
An advanced version of the original Bakudō no. 9 Strike. This is usable on any spiritual being, capable of momentarily paralyzing the affected area. Instead of an outlining silhouette of red like the original binding spell, the being is outlined in a blue. With enough reiryoku, it could potentially paralyze an opponent's entire body. The paralysis would last at most [2] posts.

#37. Tsuriboshi (吊星, Suspending Star)

Tsuriboshi is primarily used to catch. The spell creates a ball of blue energy that fires out six "ropes" from its center. The "ropes" attach themselves to any sturdy nearby object and the energy in the center solidifies into a flat elastic-like cushion. The spell can stop falling objects similar to a safety net.

38. Ryū no O ( 竜の尾, Tail of the Dragon) by Joji-tan

A tendril of heated energy that can be seen as distorted air waves wraps itself quickly around the target. Upon contact, it is set ablaze, At this point, Noriko the practitioner can let it incinerate whatever is within its hold completely or keep it bound for three posts at most.

#39. Enkōsen (円閘扇, Round Lock Fan)

Enkōsen is primarily used for defense. The practitioner can use either both hands or his/her Zanpakutō in a blocking motion. The spell then generates a dull yellow energy in front of the practitioner that takes the form of a large spinning disk of condensed reiatsu to block an opponent's attack.

#41. Shadow Blister by Ubiquitouch
"Homage to you, O you lord of brightness, governor of the temple, prince of the night and of the thick darkness. I have come to you. I am shining, I am pure."
Shadows within [100] feet of the caster began to expand and bleed together, creating a blanket of darkness. Over the course of [2] posts, this darkness begins to increase, until the area affected is completely devoid of light, rendering everyone in the area blind. The caster alone is not affected by this darkness, and is able to see perfectly. This darkness will last for [3] posts after being fully formed.
** A Kido created by Shizuko Yukimori, for the purposes of creating a zone where she can move freely without worry of entering the vision of her opponents. Though this was created by her, she has shared it with many members of both the 2nd Division, as well as the Kido Corps.

#42. Shigo Kōchoku by Ubiquitouch
"Bless unto my form that of an iron corpse."
This Kido is a self-targeted spell, forcing the user to undergo a much stronger version of rigor mortis for [5] posts, massively increasing a Shinigami's strength and durability with the cost of losing much speed and mobility. It takes a massive amount of damage to harm a Shinigami with this Kido active, and a massive amount of force to cause them to move. This Kido is mostly used by Shinigami to help keep a grip on things they cannot chance dropping or beings they cannot let go of. It is usually targeted specifically at a single limb, but it can be used on the entire body.

#43. Gravity Shackle by Ubiquitouch
"The sinner who walks over this place falls down among the knives of the watchers."
A [5] foot chain of Reiryoku grows from the caster's outstretched hand, and moves towards the target in a decidedly snake-like fashion. It will seek out the target for up to [2] posts, after which it will dissipate if it does not manage to latch onto their ankle. If it does, it will promptly grow a large ball at the opposite end, which will increase the effect of gravity on the target [5] times over.

Zanpakuto Information


User ImageName: Tsuki no Ko ( 月の子, Child of the Moon) is much shorter than her mistress, standing at an almost undignified 3' 5". However, unlike Noriko, she embraces her height. Knowing very well that she has the advantage in any battle, Tsuki no Ko, also known as Kinoko ( 茸, Mushroom), revels in the idea of proving wrong someone's judgement based on her height. Her personality is worse than that of her mistress. She is impatient by default, and she trusts no one. She does not have much faith in Noriko's ability to wield her with any significant efficiency.

Shikai Power-Ups: Kurētā ( クレーター, Crater) augments Noriko's physical strength five times the normal for the duration of Shikai, allowing her to fight on par with a Captain-level Shinigami in hand-to-hand combat as a lieutenant. For example, kicking off the ground will leave a sizable crater in the ground. With this ability, Noriko has been known to demolish buildings in a single, one-hand punch. The deflection of her attacks by hand may result in crushed bones, sprained joints, and immoblized limbs.

Shikai Techniques/Abilities

- Nomikomu ( 飲み込む, Swallow)
Based on Centripetal Force, this technique allows Noriko to absorb oncoming attacks that are based on energy, such as Kido and Cero, when she moves her right arm in a clockwise motion before pulling it close to her. She can absorb Kido and Cero that are equal or lower in strength and rank to the highest Kido that she knows. She can abosrb one at a time for now, and more than that with further training. The energy and the power of the offence is absorbed through any part of her body or the wakizashi to intensify an aspect of her fighting skills for one post after the one in which it was used.

- Watashi no Koa ( 私のコア, My Core)
Noriko produces gravitational fields from her body. For example, during a bodily attack, she will be able to encase a limb with a gravitational field to intensify its strength. With further training, she will be able to create this field anywhere within the battlefield as many times as she pleases.

Bankai Status: Not Achieved

Bankai Name: Tsuki no Hi no Ko ( 月の火の子, Fiery Child of the Moon)

Bankai Appearance: Apart from the wakizashi turning almost completely black, Noriko undergoes a transformation as well that makes her seem to be an older version of Tsuki no Ko.

Bankai Power-Ups: Genbugan Unmei ( 玄武岩運命, Basaltic Fate) In addition to her physical appearance alterations, Noriko undergoes a biological change to her skin particularly. It is modified to resemble Basalt in texture and content. This alteration enhances her physical strength by ten times the normal as well as it increases her resistance to physical attacks for the first five posts of her Bankai. After that, her resistance diminishes over another three posts and it is replenished after two normal posts.

Bankai Techniques/Abilities

- Kutesshitsu wa Maito ( 苦鉄質はマイト, Mafic Might)
Noriko is able to convert her spiritual pressure into heated energy that can be then used as she pleases, such as melting objects and summoning flames. The highest temperature that it can reach is 2,000 °C. This is just above the regular temperature of Lava.

- Honō no Chūshin ( 炎の中心, Center of the Flame)
This is a fire-based equivalent of Shunko. Noriko's body is encased in the temperature of 2000°C, making her reiatsu appear white around her body. Her physical surroundings will alter dramatically as the air becomes wavy with the heat, trees burst into flames, and the very ground melting underfoot. These effects can occur within 800 meters. Everything within this distance from her will be heated gradually. Any physical contact can result in third and fourth degree burns or instant incineration. This ability can be used only once during an entire battle and it lasts for five posts in total. However, if she used it and cancelled it within one post, she can use it in a similar fashion for four more posts only and so on. The limit is five posts in all for its use.

- Expert Hakuda Combatant
After spending more than half of her lifetime thus far with the Covert Ops, Noriko is more than capable of holding her own in a strictly empty-handed battle as well as disarming her opponent without touching her weapon. She trained everyday for those eighty years, making herself improve in this respect where others may have given up. Her talent for this fighting style is recognized by her comrades in the Covert Ops, even their Commander. An definite aid in her prowess has been her ability to learn well the clandestine tactics of the Covert Ops.

- Immense Spiritual Pressure
Noriko has learned throughout her time with the Covert Ops how to seal her spirit energy, not only for stealth purposes but so that it may grow exponentially beyond the point of a regular Shinigami.

- Incredible Physical Strength
After Miho's death, Noriko had the intense desire to become stronger in every single aspect of her being and this included physical strength. She trained everyday and after her acceptance into the Covert Ops, she utilized new exercises and techniques that would help her in this respect.

- Expert Strategist
In spite of having much to learn still about clandestine operations, Noriko has proven her abilities time and again to examine the pros and cons of a situation and to apply that knowledge to the battle situation at hand, all to the benefit of the Covert Ops and by extension, the Seireitei. She has assisted on many battle negotiations, all of which have been successful to this day, whether in practice or real life operations.

- Enhanced Endurance
After all that she has suffered, Noriko is able to withstand strenuous activity for extensive periods of time. This is a by-product of all of her training. She has been known to spar for days in hand-to-hand combat without breaking a sweat or shortness of breath. She eats well and this lends itself to her capable immune system.

Qualification
Pick one. Either Kido or Hakuda. From what you have listed as future techniques and the upcoming Taijutsu (hakuda) system revamp, I would suggest you stick to Kido. Hakuda is gonna deviate a lot from the canon and add another dimension to hand to hand combat.

Also, those custom techniques are listed as future techniques, but to be sure: 5 public techniques need to be created for a character to have 1 secret/private ones that can only be made with the help of someone that is qualified. For your character to have those techniques, you would need to contribute 20.

Shikai Power-Ups
50 times is way too much. Even in the canon, Bankai can only increase one's strength 5-10 times. 50 would only be acceptable if your character is weak as a fly so that 50x"weak as a fly" wouldn't be too OP. Fighting on par with a 'captain' is also a little excessive. Captain-ranked characters usually have more base Reiatsu power even with a sealed zanpakuto because they have achieved Bankai, but i'm willing to accept it as a third ability if it isn't continuous and has a cooldown and duration period. I would also suggest that rephrase it as "allowing her to fight on par with a Captain-level Shinigami in hand-to-hand combat as a lieutenant" in case your character ever grows stronger. Ranks only dictate what a character starts with so your character may very well become as strong as a captain through training while retaining the rank of lieutenant.

Chirasu
I don't have anything against this, but it doesn't really feel like something unique to your zanpakuto. It feels more like a Taijutsu technique to me. Even in the real world, people are known to be able to catch a ball and return it with a single hand so I can see other people coming up with a move such as this.


Kutesshitsu wa Maito: Ishigaki
Again, I don't have anything against this, but it feels like something that can be done with the previous Bankai ability, Kutesshitsu wa Maito. It may be best to specify that what separates this attack from Ktesshitsu wa Maito is that something (caster's reiryoku?) strengthens what was melted into something sturdier than normal melted+resolidified objects?

I'm fine with the currently wording only if it is only to strengthen her physical moves and deal more damage with them. Electromangetism can be extremely powerful and this ability is worded too vague for me to accept it as it is.

Shikai Power-Ups
I lowered the Shikai and Bankai to 5 and 10 times respectively...unless 100 times was okay for the Bankai.

It has been replaced by a cloning ability...which is probably more commonplace. Help? sweatdrop

It was an extension. I thought that I had to have three. Silly me.

Electromagnetism was not supposed to be there so it is out.

Edit: May I add more Kido then, please? I don't think that she will know how to modify other spells if she does not have them in her list of abilities already.

You might want to rethink the clone technique or make thedduration longer as there is a speed technique, Rei Senkou, that makes two clones for two post that can do anything the user can do.

I did away with it. I took your advice and made the fire Shunko a Bankai ability. This led to making the gravity Bankai ability into a Shikai ability. It makes more sense overall this way, I think. The Shikai is all about breaking things and the Bankai has fire power.

Anything else for that aspect of the profile? Oh, and I will add the normal, modified, and future Kido techniques tomorrow, please God, probably. I'm sick, Feiyimei ~ crying

She can absorb Kido and Cero that are equal or lower in strength and rank to the highest Kido that she knows. She can abosrb one at a time for now, maybe more than that with further training.
