The DarkTribe is most known for their great strength, ability to see perfectly in the dark, their amazing skill in crafting, creativity and their amazing grand theater. They function in a hierarchical system (Nobility and what have you). All Dark Tribe are expected to carry on with dignity and pride.

*NOTE:As you can see there are no previews for the FCs! This is because you are entering for the position, not how the character looks. By entering you agree that you enter this contest not knowing what the prize may look like and will not complain on looks if you have won. I can assure you they are amazing as Thalion has co-oped in making each one special.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

OOC ||
The judging for the Featured Characters will be pretty strict. These characters play extremely important roles within the tribe and will be founding family lines of tradesmen for the Dark Tribe. We want them to be roleplayed, and often. These characters are going to assist in building the culture of the tribe. Their offspring will carry on their legacy, and in a few generations their names will be remembered and spoken of with reverence.

Judging will be based on the following qualities ||
xxx Knowledge of the setting!
xxxxxx→ Study: Shop Front Page
xxxxxx→ Study: The Beginner's Guide
xxxxxx→ Study: Main Guild

xxxxxx→ Study: "Castrum de Drac" culture foundation.
xxxxxx→ Study: Non-hereditary - Nobility titles
xxxxxx→ Study: Criminals and Fools

We will be looking for knowledge of the shop's setting, knowledge of the DarkTribe itself, and how you use the cultural foundation and 'ideal direction' of the tribe to your advantage within the prompt.

xxx Conformity to the founding culture!
These B'alam will awaken around the Magus of the Tribe. There are no references for them at the moment as the staff opted to sacrifice their getting official artwork for their magus for opening the shop up in the final summer month. If you want to make references to one of the Magus, currently the only named Magus is Gabriel, played by GunSniper.*

These B'alam would be educated directly by the Magus. Gabriel is a prideful B'alam and will become furious if he finds his teachings were disregarded. Bad things happen when Gabriel is furious. This means we don't really want to see any revolutionaries in the first FC's. These FC's are setting the standard for this culture's mentality. They were woven into being as ignorant as newborns, personally educated by Magus who were personally enlightened by the Grand Weaver, and mentored by their leaders until they were confident enough to begin teaching others. Revolutionaries or divergent thinkers right now would be...too soon. This is the Genesis of the world.

xxx Creativity!
We want to know what your B'alam is all about. What is their personality, their future aspirations, what they want in a soul-bound partner, why they chose their craft, how they go about it, etc. We'll score extra points for real thought and heart. If you research how they do their trades and express that through the prompt, if you really put a lot of thought into the character, and if you convince us that this is a character you will build on and roleplay we'll take your entry more seriously than if you're just trying to get something pretty for your sig. Remember- these are very important characters!

xxx In-Thread Activity and Behavior!
Whatever happened outside of B'alam is your business. We'll be taking a look at in-thread behavior, frequency, etc. as 'tie breakers' between favored entries. Sometimes we can't pick between plots, character ideas, etc. You guys have so much creativity and heart that we needed a system of tie-breaking. This is our way of letting you know that activity and good behavior are rewarded. Even though these award tiny points to the final score of every entry, it can be the difference between a close win and a close lose. Again, we -want- these characters to be active. They are essential characters.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Enter only if...
→ you are willing to be active and roleplay.
→ you are willing to roleplay and be active with the tribe owners: GunSniper & Ririka
→ you are willing to roleplay with other tribe members. These FC's will be trusted with the young minds of their tribe-siblings.
→ you are willing to play according to the rules and standards of the shop AND tribe.

Do NOT enter if...
→ you just want something pretty for your sig (You won't even know what you are getting).
→ you intend to have your character break tradition. These are part of the founding culture. Defiance should roll out a little later down the line, not right at the starting line.
*In entering you acknowledge and agree that if you deviate from the original teachings and role of the FC, your character may be killed-off and your title handed to another.
→ you want to give these to a friend.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Event Details ||

xxxStarts || Nov. 1st |[ Noon ]| PST
xxxEnds || Nov. 9th |[ Noon ]| PST
xxxFee || None

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Rules ||

xxx→ You may edit entries up to the cut off date.
xxx→ Do not copy the entries of anyone. If two entries are too similar, we will disqualify the one that came second.
xxx→ You can enter for more than one but you can only win one. The staff will choose which entry they like best, you cannot set a preference.
xxx→ We reserve the right to extend the contest if need be or to add rules if there are any problems that arise.
xxx In the event none of the entries were what we were looking for, we reserve the right to hold the FC back for another event at another time. .

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Lead Magus

Gabriel Belmont ||
Gabriel is a wise yet quiet leader. He will say what needs to be said at the appointed times. However, he will not go out of his way to start a conversation with anyone he does not consider family. He takes the teachings of the Grand Weaver seriously, as it was what he was enlightened to do, but he believes that everyone can make their own destiny. Unlike some of the other Magus, Gabriel can have a temper when his pride and teachings are challenged. Fools are not tolerated. It has been taught to those that he has taught personally that he will not hesitate to end their lives should the disappoint him (this goes for the rest of the tribe, though the FCs are held to a higher standard). Despite this, Gabriel does have a gentle side which surfaces now and than. His soul-bound, Marie, is always there to keep his anger in check.

The Quiz♦♦♦

xxxWhat is(are) Dark Tribes Primary Feature(s)? Large bat-like wings and longer canine fangs.
xxxWhat is the rule on Light Pelts? Light pelts are not turned away or treated any different than dark pelts, but they do have their limitations in roles within the tribe. The Dark tribe value the shadows. Having a light pelt would negate the darkness, making it much more difficult to hide and scout. Therefore, most light pelted tribe members are given work within the city.
xxxWhat are "Non-Hereditary Nobility" Titles? How do you obtain one? Is it possible to obtain a "Hereditary Nobility" Title via the same way (Briefly Explain why or why not)? A 'Non-Hereditary Nobility' title is a character in which is quested for by means of an approved plot thread. A plot thread must be made and explained within the Dark tribe guild and then approved by either GunSniper or Ririka. 'Hereditary Nobility' titles are special characters that are only obtainable through special events; not being able to be normally obtained through means of plotting threads.
xxxWho are the Dark Tribes Allies? Enemies? The Dark tribe's allies are currently the Light and Earth tribes. As of right now, they have no known enemies.

About the B'alam ♦♦♦

xxxWhat's his name? Kharon
xxxxxxMeaning? Kharon (sometimes spelled Charon) is the ferryman of Hades who carries souls of the newly deceased across the rivers Styx and Acheron that divided the world of the living from the world of the dead.
xxxPersonality || Quiet and reserved, but powerful. This B'alam is not one that most others would feel comfortable talking to, or even merely approaching. He has an air about him that... Just isn't pleasant. He is extremely stern and judgmental as well. He believes that if you are not all for the Dark tribe and what they believe in, then you are shady and untrustworthy. He is an extreme loyalist, as the keeper of the the tribe's deceased should be. His soul-bound keeps him in check. She is also his main voice, as he generally uses just gestures.
xxxDoes he agree with the tribes disdain for light tribe or light pelts? Disdain? Who be disdainin'?! Not the Dark tribe!
xxxWhat is his view on his task? He believes wholeheartedly that he was created specifically for his task by the Grandweaver. He does not believe there is another who could handle it. It is a very quiet and daunting task. The interaction he has with others is very little, seeing as how the keeper of the graves is usually not someone that others want to be even remotely near. Even his personality fits, as well as his extreme patience. He would not give up his task, even if it was being forced from him.
xxxWhat kind of plots would you like for him? As I would love just about any kind of plots with Kharon, I do fancy some certain ones. Seeing as how he is... 'Unsure' about the Light tribe, I think a plot involving perhaps Gabriel and his soul-bound would be amazing. Any kind of contact with Light members in general would be welcomed. It will take him quite some time to ever become even remotely 'okay' with them.

Eventually, waaaaay down the line... I think an apprentice of sorts would be interesting. Seeing as how he believes he is the only one fit for his task, Kharon taking on an apprentice (much less even considering one) would be a feat that no one would expect. Perhaps his apprentice could even be one of his children down the line, or even his own soul-bound if it was needed.

Being the loyalist that Kharon is, I can see him being well known by the other FCs and important characters within the tribe. His soul-bound would be just as important, as she is his voice and his reason. Without her.. He would be nothing. He would be crazed and not himself in the slightest. He would lash out against the light pelted and Light tribe, and possibly even against his own king for having a Light queen. Perhaps a plot that involves his soul-bound going missing/kidnapped? No death, but taken and possibly even beaten. His loyalties would become fierce and he wouldn't be so quiet and reserved any longer.
xxxTell me more: Kharon slowly blinked, his face completely void of expression. His body was solid, standing tall and strong. The muscles under his fur did not even move, sitting completely still. His wings cradled the dense air underneath them, moving not even an inch. With a very slight flick of the tip of his tail, a white and pink paw instantly stepped forward. An albino B'alam was now standing at his side, a smile on her face.

"My High Lord." She bowed in respect to the High Lord of the Dark tribe. "Kharon accepts your soul-bound. However..." She trailed off, looking back to the gargoyle-esque B'alam behind her. She took another few steps forward, once again addressing Gabriel. "...he does not necessarily approve. He does not like or dislike the situation at paw, but he will not complain. He understands that this lady of the Light is your soul-bound and that it is the will of the Grandweaver. Kharon is simply being cautious and putting the Dark tribe's best interests ahead of her." The albino female ended her statement with a gentle smile on her face. She then bowed once more and took some steps back to the Grave Keeper's side. She looked up at him out of the corner of her eye, only to be met with his own gaze. His stance nor expression had not changed, but his lingering gaze told her everything she needed to know.

She once again took a couple of steps forward towards the King. "My High Lord." She took a bow once more. "Kharon politely requests that the Queen not enter his abode without your presence. He would feel much more comfortable knowing that you are around." Going into a more hushed tone, she edged just a bit closer to the High Lord. "Please, Gabriel. You know how much of a loyalist Kharon is."

Taking a couple steps back, the albino lady took another bow, turning around and proceeding to walk away. Kharon watched her take her leave, his head turning to keep an eye on her as she left the room. Turning his attention back to Gabriel, he too took a bow to his leading Lord, his eyes keeping a constant gaze-lock with him.

In a very low and strong voice, Kharon spoke. "My King." With that, he turned around and began to walk away, taking slow strides... His powerful form swaying to and fro as he left the King's chamber for his soul-bound.
xxxWho is entering for the Soul-Bound: Lady Kitania
xxxTell me more about his soul-bound: She is a very kind and gentle B'alam. While loyal to her tribe, she is not a die-hard loyalist like her mate. She does her best to help him understand that even the light pelted have their places within the tribe, seeing as how she herself has a light pelt. She is Kharon's voice to most tribe members. Gwyn is so connected with her mate that she knows when something is wrong or when he wants to convey a message to someone. She is also his calmness in physical form. She is why he appears to be the 'gentle giant' to most of the common members. Without her, there's not telling how Kharon would truly act...
xxxWhat's her name? Gwyn
xxxxxxMeaning? It is a Welsh unisex name meaning 'fair, holy, white.' In Welsh mythology, it is the name of the ruler of the underworld where he escorted the souls of the dead. I thought it was a fitting name for the lady of the Grave Keeper.

The Quiz♦♦♦

xxxWhat is(are) Dark Tribes Primary Feature(s)? Large bat-like wings and longer canine fangs
xxxWhat is the rule on Light Pelts? Lighter pelts are not discriminated against, however, they will have a limit on what they are able to do career wise. Lighter pelts are not able to have jobs that require work outside of the home cave. They are allowed to feed, but they are not allowed to be messengers, spies, etc. A good portion of the "light pelts" end up as librarians or even apprentices to the Toy Maker.
xxxWhat are "Non-Hereditary Nobility" Titles? How do you obtain one? Is it possible to obtain a "Hereditary Nobility" Title via the same way (Briefly Explain why or why not)? The titles are Knights, Toy Maker's Apprentices, Actors, Ambassadors, Lead Librarians, and Blood Givers. They are obtained only through RP, through the plot thread and questing for the nobility title. No, there are no Hereditary Nobility titles, because they need to be obtained through plotting and RP.
xxxWho are the Dark Tribes Allies? Enemies?
There are No current Dark Tribe enemies, but they are allied with the Light and Earth tribes.

About the B'alam ♦♦♦

xxxWhat's his name? Neculai
xxxxxxMeaning? Victor of the people
xxxPersonality || He is very personable, loves talking a mile a minute both to and at people. Because he is a merchant, and loves to talk, he uses it as a weapon in conversation, overriding those he wants to talk through and communicating beautifully with those he wants too. He loves the festivals, not only because of the wealth of B'alam it brings, but because he gets a chance to do what he loves, and that is talk. And talk, and talk. Nec is a bit of a character when he wants to be, entertaining to cubs and adults alike.
xxxDoes he agree with the tribes distain for light tribe or light pelts? The tribe doesn't have distain for the light tribe, who are allies, or those with light pelts.
xxxWhat is his view on his task? He loves it, paws down. Nec gets up in the morning with a smile on his face because he has to deal with B'alam from every corner of the world to do his job, and he loves finding out about their cultures and bringing trinkets back to his people, things they will marvel at and question.
xxxWhat kind of plots would you like for him? I would like for him to have to deal with everyone, all the time. He loves to talk, and he loves to meet others, so I want him to meet with other merchants. I also want him to meet his soulmate, of course. I have no idea what the B'alam will be like, but it will be fun to rp. I also want to have him deal with his people on finding certain items, rare or not. Just, all the rp~
xxxTell me more:
Neculai stretched his wings out, wide and broad as he grinned at the B'alam who'd come to see him. It was the middle of the day, which was the only concession he would make for the merchant who'd come to see him. She was a Wind, this 'Sky Dancer', a gypsy name even though the girl was a part of the Tribe, but part of Clan Bayeux. She still wouldn't give him her real name, but it didn't matter since he was holding her to the Clan's honesty. She wasn't a thief. In fact, if the state of her wings was any indication, she was offended when he'd asked. They were puffed out as she shook her head. "No, I'm not like that. You have my word."

And if she didn't have a Rose tucked behind her ear to show for it, he probably wouldn't. Instead, he smiled at her and nodded, folding his wings down and regarding her with interest. He'd never bet any of the Winds before, and their structure was just so different from his own that it was fascinating. Though he was much more fond of leathery wings than feathered one. "Alright, then. What brings you to me 'Sky Dancer'?" Nec used her given name lightly, smiling. "I'm sure it's not nothing that brought you here, even though it looks like you don't have anything to trade."

She smiled sheepishly. "Not yet, I am just getting established as a merchant in the Clan, and I wanted to make all the connections I could before I started. It is easier trying to trade with those you know will trade."

He agreed with that and, honestly, had no problem trading with her as long as she kept true to her word and never traded stolen goods to him. He would find out. He had his ways. Or would have his ways. Smiling broadly, because this was an amusing little quandary. "So, you want my word you'll trade, even though your kind usually steal and you have nothing to show me?"

She puffed up again. It was kinda hilarious. "Yes. That is want I was hoping for. I don't need you word, just that you will take a look at the things I bring on behalf of the Clan and trade if you feel I have anything worth trading. I will never bring you anything stolen, because I will never steal. It is against what I believe in."

Neculai looked her over and believed her because, well, she wasn't lying. He could just tell. It was in the way she spoke, and the way she held herself. Still, a Wind that didn't steal. What a Marvel concept. He didn't want to give up the game just yet, though, because while she had come a long way to see him, he got up during the day for this meeting. Nec figured that was going to be something that was going to happen a lot, what with the rest of the B'alam he would trade with keeping a schedule opposite to his own, but he was alright with that. He didn't need a lot of sleep anyway. Instead of letting her leave, or giving his word that he would attempt to trade with her when in all actuality she would probably make a good partner, he led her over to his shop. "Tell me if there is anything you would like to buy." Then he had another, better idea. "Actually, I would rather you answered a question for me." He grinned. Poor people have it. Rich people need it. If you eat it you die. What is it?" He'd already given her the answer, in a roundabout sort of way.

xxxxxx→ To follow the tribe's rules? Yes!
xxxHave you read over the front page, beginner's guide, AND tribe info? || Yes, I went over all of it carefully.
xxxHow often, about, do you think you can rp?|| I'm on Gaia just about every day except during finals weeks (during which my studies may keep me away for a day or two at a time). I do go to school full time, but even during the worst of times I can tag at least once a day. It all depends on what's going on IRL, and I will always let people know if I might be delayed. Usually I can get a few good tags out per day!
xxxHow can tribe members contact you for rp?|| PM preferred at first, but I may make a special account on skype or aim for guildies if the need arises, especially for group RP planning. I'll also likely make a plot thread that they can post in. I am willing to add the other FC/guild owners to my instant messengers right away, though.
xxxIs there anything you are not comfortable rping with this character? || I'm good for just about anything as long as it's run by me first. Some surprises aren't as fun as others! I'm okay with most things though; violence, blood, gory situations (to the extent it's allowed), uncomfortable situations, being the 'bad' guy, it's all good!
xxxWould you be willing to kill this character off in future plots? || M-maybe? As long as I was warned ahead of time and it wasn't anything out of the blue, and for a very good plot reason. I get attached easily <:'3

The Quiz♦♦♦

xxxWhat is(are) Dark Tribes Primary Feature(s)? Big leathery bat wings and long, thin canines (for sucking blood, of course).
xxxWhat is the rule on Light Pelts? B'alam with light pelts are not looked down upon or discriminated against, but their coloration affects their choices as far as jobs go. Since they're lightly colored, they lack the camouflage needed to go unseen in the dark, and are thusly not selected to be scouts, spies, or given any other work in which they need to sneak around or use stealth outside the city. However, there are plenty of other jobs they can do within the city (knights, library staff, theatre, etc.).
xxxWhat are "Non-Hereditary Nobility" Titles? How do you obtain one? Is it possible to obtain a "Hereditary Nobility" Title via the same way (Briefly Explain why or why not)?
'Non-Hereditary Nobility' titles can be obtained by anyone who spends the time and brainpower thinking up a good plot and getting it approved by the Dark Tribe staff. These titles include: Toy Maker's Apprentices, Actors/Actresses, Ambassadors, Lead Librarians, Blood Givers, and knights. 'Hereditary Nobility' titles are rarer and only given out through special RP events. They cannot be obtained by plotting alone. These titles include: Palace Knights, the Toy Maker, the Toy Maker's Assistant, Master Scribe/Chiseler, and Appointed Lords.
xxxWho are the Dark Tribes Allies? Enemies? The Dark Tribe's allies are the Light Tribe and the Earth Tribe. They are neutral with the other tribes and do not have any enemies currently.

About the B'alam ♦♦♦

xxxWhat's his name? Razvan, Raz for short.
xxxxxxMeaning? There seems to be some disagreement between sites on this! Possibly related to the name Radovan (Derived from the Slavic element rad "care"). May have been brought to Romania from India by the Roma, and may mean something like "bringer of good news". (Several baby-naming sites claim the name is of Romanian origin and means "joyful".)
xxxPersonality ||
[+] Resourceful | Jocular | Engaging | Energetic
[-] Bossy | Workaholic | Nosy | Perplexing (at times)

While Razvan encapsulates the usual characteristics that all Toymaker's Apprentices are expected to possess (imagination, ingenuity, and playful mischievousness to name a few), he often goes above and beyond in many respects. He approaches almost all situations with a sort of infectious mirth, always smiling, always quick with a quip or a joke to put his underlings at ease. Despite his childish and often joking nature, he has somehow managed to counterbalance those tendencies with a strong work ethic, and a more mature understanding that while hard work is needed to accomplish goals, it doesn't have to be unpleasant (but things do need to get done!). He encourages anyone and everyone under his authority to support and befriend one another as often as possible, and to simply have fun with their jobs! Razvan's title puts him in an odd position at times, when it comes to directing those beneath him. He can be great to work with if one follows directions, but if anything happens to impede the will of the Toymaker, he will not hesitate to dole out consequences. Razvan expects his word to be willingly followed by those who work beneath him.

When he's working, or if he's out in the public eye, Raz sort of breaks the mold as far as managing activities go. The theatre can be a mad whirlwind balancing act, and he's learned to perfect multi-tasking, to a degree. He always seems to always keep a smile, no matter how hectic things become, or how many problems arise. However, when it comes to crafting puppets and toys, or drawing up designs, he becomes extremely focused and single minded, and sometimes secludes himself for short bouts if he's working on something special. During these times he can get quite carried away, and if he gets into 'the zone', he has been known to stay up for days at a time in order to perfect his creation, whether it be puppet or toy. He comes up with many ideas on a near-daily basis, and is constantly sharing them with the other apprentices and spreading them around. This isn't to say that Razvan doesn't enjoy getting out and about of course! On the contrary, he can be quite the socialite if his schedule allows it, happy to mingle with nobility and commoners alike. One never knows where the next fount of inspiration will come from, and he is always looking for it in order to fuel his big imagination.

Miscellanea (just a few other points i've mulled over...)

- He has a rather handsome voice and once played with the idea of being a performer, before he became enamoured with the process and technique involved in making and operating puppets and props. He can still be very musical and loves to hum and whistle, especially when working.

- He has a great love for parties and sweets and has been known to go a bit overboard if given the chance!

- He loves to play with his creations (he's an ace at ventriloquism of course) and loves to teach others how to craft and use them as well. Razvan is incredibly patient, and it is hard to incite outright anger in him. One thing he cannot stand is the willful destruction of crafts (his or anyone else's), and he will seek harsh punishment for anyone caught defacing theatre props.

- Despite that he will likely be a well-known figure in the Tribe, Razvan does not strive for any great measure of fame. He views himself as a humble servant of the tribe, and embraces his place as the face of the Toymaker. He cannot fathom using his position for undeserved gain. To create, and disperse knowledge of how to create, are among his greatest rewards.

- Though he rarely means ill by it, he can be incredibly curious to the point of nosiness, and will not hesitate to eavesdrop or snoop. Though he doesn't like to gossip (much), he loves knowing and keeping secrets, and uses the events that happen around him as inspiration for his work. He is still relatively innocent however in that he would probably not think to blackmail.

- He may be creative, but even he won't deny there are things he's awful at. Beyond the timing and pacing required in the theatre, he's pretty bad at math and numbers, and he's not the biggest fan of the process of writing (his penmanship is quite the messy scrawl, and he's happy to dictate any script changes to those who are more fit for the job).

xxxDoes he agree with the tribes disdain for light tribe or light pelts? The Dark Tribe does not disdain the Light Tribe or light pelts!
xxxWhat is his view on his task?
Razvan views his task with three parts joyful dedication and one part apprehension. During his life, he has poured his mind, soul, tears, blood, and absolute love into his crafts, new inventions, and the theatre. He is 100% dedicated to carrying out the whims and plans of the Toymaker, and makes it his mission in life to not only make sure that his creations and crafts are top-notch, but that everyone who answers to him, his dearest apprentices, is properly engaged and knows how to work and use his props. In the same way the Grand Weaver wove their lives into existence, they will all strive to weave wonderful stories on the stage, bring joy to their Tribe and its children, and have an amazing time working together in the process. Razvan has dabbled in acting in the past and is happy to work with everyone involved, apprentices and performers both. Divas and drama-kings rarely throw him off, and he has quite a few tricks up his sleeves to deal with big egos.

That said, there is always that little part in the back of his mind that is daunted by the entire thing, a tiny spark of self-consciousness that most artists possess, deep down. Razvan can't help but wonder at times how he, of all the apprentices, could ever have been chosen for such a momentous task. But, instead of letting his worries get to him, he tries to channel the energy into work, to propel himself to greatness. The show must go on, after all, and whenever he feels the apprehension creeping up, he tries to take the advice he often gives to those beneath him, which is to always breathe deeply, and to remember that they are all in it together.

xxxWhat kind of plots would you like for him?
I want any and all plots. I want him to face challenges and to make friends and maybe even a few enemies. This character is one I feel will have a sizeable network of contacts and come face to face with a good number of other tribe members on a regular basis, and I am really excited to try my hand in how he manages himself and all of his responsibilities.

It will be interesting to see how we figure out these shows they put on (which I am hoping/assuming will be RPed out, or at least written by those within the guild). I love the idea of the teamwork it will take to make this work, and I will be happy to take part in the Theater of Days Past as well as any other productions we think up throughout the year (given that they do more than the annual one, which I also hope!). I want good times and bad, however! Not everything goes as perfectly as we want it, especially in this atmosphere of the theater, where everyone needs to be in sync for things to go well.

There are many little things I can think of that I think would be fun for myself and others to RP; teaching and working with apprentices (a whole slew of mini-plots and interactions possible!), dealing with the ones who step out of line, dealing with hotshot actors/actresses. There are also things he will have to work through himself, such as his tendency to be a workaholic (I can see this putting strain on friendships and such, so there's tasty drama to be found there). Perhaps he will experience a string of failures at some point and be forced to come to terms with his mistakes after a breakdown, or experience artist's block at some point - I want lots of character development and ideally would see him become a magus someday, if he's allowed to do that.

He will seek love eventually, though I kind of want to ease into it instead of rushing. In the beginning I suspect he will be very 'married to his work' in a sense, and considers his job his topmost priority. His childish attitude and playful demeanor and dedication to work may make it difficult to find someone patient enough to form a relationship with, so it may need to be someone who shares his passions. Razvan feels lucky that he can make so many children happy (by creating toys and entertainment), but hasn't quite wrapped his head around the idea of having his own yet. I'd really like to explore and develop this as an extended plot of his, ideally.

And last but not least, of course, I am up for any plots with the other FCs! Razvan is the type to be very active in the community and I'd be more than happy to have him come pester the other nobility and sub-nobility. He loves to float about and get other tribe member's opinions on various ideas. I expect he will work very closely with Chronos and the Toymaker (if he is going to be played by anyone?).

tl;dr spoiler (mostly for me to keep track as I think up more!)

Plots with or involving:

General Roleplay that I will do whenever, with whoever:
- Teaching and working with the apprentices
- Dealing with performers/apprentices who step out of line
- Brainstorming, bantering, and rambling about his ideas, bouncing ideas for toys or puppets off of other FCs or anyone who'll listen!
- RP with cubs and the public, making lots of public appearances!
- Gaining inspiration from their beautiful city and its inhabitants, finding 'characters' to model for his toys and puppets. Hearing and sharing ideas!
- Finding someone (probably an apprentice or someone who works in theatre) who will become his 'right paw' so to speak. Keep his carving/art supplies well stocked, remind him of times when needed, help him keep on schedule when things are extra busy, bring him his coffee (heheheheh). He may not actively seek this out; if he becomes especially close to one or two apprentices and they do this for him it'd be some really cute plots (maybe even lead to love?)

- Toy Art:: This isn't a plot (i didn't know where else to put this) but I want to design and draw/animate some of the toys he invents or makes and give them out at tribal events * 3* Heck, I bet I could even make the templates for some of them available so people could make their own toys (especially apprentices!). I think that'd be lots of fun. I made a small sample at the bottom of this post, and another one here c:

Personal plots for him as a character that will allow him to develop:
- His tendency towards getting too into his work; Perhaps this puts a strain on one or any of his friendships (which will be made over time of course). A lot of his time is spent poring over and crafting the finest puppets, props, and toys in the land, after all...but that isn't a fun activity for everyone...
- Finding his balance between leisure and work
- Dealing with failures (large or small) and the fallout from them
- Dealing with some sort of artist's block at some point
- Getting into trouble due to snooping/gossiping/eavesdropping, accidental or not. This would probably be even better if it involved other nobility (nobility can be quite the gossipers, can't they?). This can be a playful or serious plot.

- Love plots: Won't move too swiftly into this if that's okay (he's a busy guy!), but when he does it will be built carefully over time. She'll have to be a special one and share all his crazy passions (or be patient enough to deal with him if she doesn't). Maybe a love triangle plot eventually? Romantic drama can be fun, and if he clicks with a certain someone I will happily pursue the possibilities.

Plots with the other FCs!
- I'm sure he'll both know and probably be good friends with Chronos the stage master, perhaps they can have friendly rivalries or simply have one another's backs, or a little of both! Learning and working together will be awesome, and a little conflict mixed in will keep everything fresh!
- I'd love for him to have a friendship with Gabe as well, though his energy might be a little grating on him at times! (he'd love to take every opportunity he can to get Gabe to laugh XD)
- Friends with the rest of the major theatre characters! I am certain he ought to be on good terms with Ruxana and Udide.
- Possibly friendly with the Lead Scribe/Chiseler (depending on their personalities), since they collect and record all manner of history and stories (and he loves those!)
- Interaction with the Toymaker? Secret shadowy meetings? Discussions about future plays and events, or super special toys? Want this really bad!
- It'd be super cool to RP him with whoever becomes the player of the lead merchant. I bet they could easily work together since the merchant can bring in wares (and exotic materials!) from outside the capital, and in return the Assistant can supply him with toy blueprints (and maybe the toys themselves) to trade to the outside world and spread the joy around!
- Can't think of anything off the top of my head for the others, but I am excited and open to any requests!

It had been a difficult week. The Toymaker's Assistant's initial instinct to being pulled away from his workbench (and an amazingly detailed prototype puppet of Xibalba, with working, jointed wings and all) was vague irritation, but he knew that he could not ignore the needs of his apprentices.

Razvan stood in front of the two troublemakers, the usual sly grin plastered across his features, contrasting sharply to the upset looks on the faces of the pair he was about to speak with. One of them looked as if she might burst into tears, as she averted her gaze from the rainbow-and-black colored male seated next to her. It wasn't so uncommon an occurrence; just that occasional friction between the actors and the apprentices that flared up, every so often. It wasn't the first time during their current production that it had happened, and Razvan had a suspicion that it wouldn't be their last. There was no need to be angry, though, no, this was just another kink to be worked through, a wrinkle to be smoothed. Razvan would not ruffle so easily, but he was surprised that Chronos had not descended to chew anyone out. No matter; it would be his time to shine in their underling's time of need. He addressed the female first.

"Breathe easy, my little one. Some do not fall into the swing of things as quickly as others." He hummed, his eyes shifting to Itzal, who quickly looked away to hide the shame in his eyes. Razvan was more used to the performers putting up a fuss, but this time it had been one of his very own. His heart ached for the fretting female seated before him, who had apparently received quite the unnecessary tongue-lashing from his frustrated apprentice. She sniffled quietly, and sucked in a deep breath, eventually giving a nod to the Assistant. He inhaled as well, and let out a sigh, wondering if anyone was being brazen enough to eavesdrop around the corner. Perhaps it was time for that old, familiar pep talk. He rounded the corner quickly, motioning for the pair to follow.

"Listen up!" Razvan' voice boomed as he called for the attention of any of the B'alam in the vicinity of the theatre. There were a handful working there that day, and everyone stopped what they were doing to hear what needed to be said. A couple of the actors sat down, their ears perked. Another of his apprentices (a sass-mouthed blood giver) stood still to hear the announcement, and a rather stern looking father shushed his excited daughter, who had won a part in a portion of the play that featured youngsters. Even the festivities coordinator, down past the stage, paused to hear what was being said.

It was rare for the Assistant not to lecture at least once during the preparation of a show, and he found himself wishing he could to tend to problems on an individual basis. There was simply no time for that, however. Everyone was just too busy with preparations, including himself. Usually Chronos was the one to handle such situations, but since he was nowhere to be seen, Razvan knew it was his duty to step up and take charge.

"We must all remember teamwork, my friends...and we also need to keep in mind that we are all equals here, on this stage. Apprentices, actors...one will never be better than the other. To act is to use your empathy, to portray thoughts, ideas, and emotions that you may not usually experience, and this is no easy feat. Our performers use their very minds and bodies to tell stories..." His eyes shone with jollity as he glanced back at the upset female, who finally managed a little smile. "However, we must not forget the hard work put into the props, or the puppets." With a flick of his paw, a nearby puppet leapt to life immediately, and began to sway smoothly, edging out a looping dance on the stage.

"The puppeteer's job is a similar one, you see. Same use of empathy, different skill set. The puppeteer must use their mind gifts, and the dexterity of their paws, to convey the emotions and movements of the puppet. Performers and puppeteers must work in harmony. I'd appreciate it, my dears, if you would all keep this in mind, as we continue preparations." His tone grew playfully sharp, and he made eye contact with Itzal again, who nodded, his expression grave and still guilty. He would have to be dealt with later, Razvan supposed. A murmur went through the crowd who had gathered, and he smiled benignly, letting the puppet flop back to where it had been seated moments before.

"I've had my say, if there are any more problems please bring them up to Chronos or myself!" Razvan cast a reassuring smile to the upset female, before recalling something with a jolt. "And don't forget; rehearsals are being extended next week, in order to work out those timing problems. I expect to see you all out bright and early!"

Razvan spun around to return to his own work, not wishing to hang around long enough to hear any dissent about the prolonged practices. If anyone wanted to complain, well, Chronos would know what to do with them, wouldn't he?

Second story, in a spoiler ;_; I'm sorry, it just popped into my head and I had to write it. I really wanted to show him interacting with some cubs, and between the two RP blurbs it doesn't exceed the five npc limit. (important note, i used three 'npcs', the two boy cubs and the unnamed female cub. thanks again for making the exceptions, you guys are great! as stated in the announcement, they will all be given away (to newbies preferably) if i am chosen to play this guy.)

Razvan sighed contently as a brisk breeze ruffled his fur, ears tickled by the sound of it whistling through the stalactites on the roof of their cavernous home. It had been a glorious night; he was only just returning from a meeting with the lead magus about a small festival to acknowledge the approach of winter. It was not Razvan' favorite time of year (as the cooler weather was never kind to wings or paws), but it was still a special one all the same. The turning of the seasons was a thing to celebrate, and he was always happy to meet the change with his usual adaptability. They had discussed many interesting plans, and he had presented ideas from the Toymaker himself, and now he was hurrying home, intent on getting a bit of carving done before morning. The event would be nowhere near the scale of their annual celebrations, but it would do well to send the general public into a festive, communal spirit. Best of all, however, would be the excitement on the faces of all the little ones, once they saw what the Toymaker had planned for them. The chime of their laughter was a sound Razvan would never tire of.

But, what was that? One of his ears gave a flick, and his eyes narrowed. His large ears were picking up another sound over the whistling breeze. He turned immediately, and wove himself off through an alleyway, intent on finding that most horrible of noises. As he drew closer, his fears were confirmed - a little cub sitting all by her lonesome, sniffling sadly over the broken rag doll at her feet. And, quite suddenly, she was no longer alone, as two other cubs scurried up to jeer at her.

"Quit crying already! It was old and ugly anyway!" The older cub snapped at the female, who reeled back, her ears pinned back against her head.

"But it was mine! Why did you have to go and do it?? She was mine!" The youngster sniffled, laying her paw on the bedraggled remains of a little stuffed Dark Tribe, lovingly sewn in shades of white and grey. A simple but cute kind of toy, cruelly torn open and dashed to the ground.

"If you don't shush up, I'm going to do it again."

This threat drew a scandalized gasp from the cub at the eldest cub's side, and he smirked, assured in his triumph. That was, until Razvan decided to make himself known, eyes shimmering with mischief as he stepped up behind the two troublemakers.

"You know what happens, don't you, to naughty little cubs who do cruel things to others?" His voice was loud enough to make the three jump, and they spun around to face Razvan, eyes going wide.

"Well?" He leaned in, and the older cub leaned away with a scowl, not thrown off enough to abandon his sass as he scowled in silence.

"They get put in time out?" The little one piped up, only to be nudged roughly.

"Oh, my, all sorts of bad things can happen. Cruelty can be the source of many horrible curses. Why, sometimes they turn into borks...eaten up by other B'alam who wouldn't know any better!" As he explained, several objects seemed to pull themselves from the Assistant's satchel, strung along by his telepathic magic.

A little wooden bork, carefully crafted with tiny feathers, flapped its miniscule, jointed wings and skittered about in a circle after hitting the ground with a light 'thok'. It was a comical sight, but it swiftly ended as two little puppets with the likeness of the Earth Tribe set upon it. Razvan threw his voice and added several choice sound affects to add to the mock-gruesome scene. Tiny, colorful feathers soon littered the cobblestones.

"That's just a fib!" The older cub tried to argue, while the other looked exceedingly nervous as he stared down, caught between fear and amusement at the free show they were receiving.

"Sometimes, bad little cubs turn into puppets themselves, and stay that way until they learn how to be good to those around them. Try showing a little more kindness in the future. A little more respect. Mm?"

Razvan burst into an eerie (and highly exaggerated) 'evil' laugh, and watched as the two skittered away, properly spooked. As the eldest looked back to glare, Razvan gave him the stink eye until they disappeared from view. Once he was satisfied they were gone, he turned his attention back toward their unfortunate victim, who looked startled at the fact that someone had come to her rescue.

"What a lovely doll. May I see her?" He asked, his eyes softening as she peered up at him with a shy look. After a moment she pressed the doll forward and sniffled, watching forlornly as the Assistant lifted it up with his telepathy.

"She was my favorite. Lorkan and Dinu are always breaking my things." She said, bitterly scrunching up her nose at the thought of her cruel brothers.

"She can still be your favorite, child." He murmured, and sat, immediately beginning to rifle through his satchel, pressing past toys and trinkets to find the 'first aid kit'. The cub watched in amazement as he produced a small bone needle and a length of thread, and a pawful of floofalo fluff. "Lucky I have a color that matches." He chuckled, and began to work swiftly. He certainly didn't have the keen skill that Ruxana did, but he could make a tight, even stitch easily enough. In no time at all the toy was good as new, and he smiled to see it reunited with its owner as he tucked his tools away.

"Th-thank you. So much. I'll take good care of her."

"I know you will, little one. Here, she should have a friend." He removed a small object from his bag; a small wooden b'alam that danced about when the strings on either end were pulled apart. It was not a new model, but he had carved and assembled it with the same love he gave to all of his creations. After a quick demonstration, he took his leave, allowing the sound of her laughter to follow him as he disappeared down the street.

xxxWhat is(are) Dark Tribes Primary Feature(s)? Bat-like wings, longer canines, larger ears.
xxxWhat is the rule on Light Pelts? They are limited on what roles they can assume within the Tribe. Most of the time, they are given roles within the city, such as librarians. They are not suitable for roles such as scouts due to their bright coat and are suited to tasks that do not require stealth.
xxxWhat are "Non-Hereditary Nobility" Titles? How do you obtain one? Is it possible to obtain a "Hereditary Nobility" Title via the same way (Briefly Explain why or why not)? A 'Non-Hereditary Nobility' title is a character in which is quested for by means of an approved plot thread. 'Hereditary Nobility' titles are characters that are only obtainable through special events. Because of this, the 'Hereditary Nobility' is limited to only those special characters, whilst the 'Non-Hereditary' is obtainable in plot threads approved by staff.

About the B'alam ♦♦♦

xxxWhat's her name? Zotia "Sophia"
xxxxxxMeaning? Zotia = Polish for 'one with wisdom'
xxxPersonality ||
[ + ] - Dependable, Kind, Knowledgeable, Honest, Giving
[ - ] - Headstrong, Self-Judging, Dislikes being alone

Sophia is a very dependable creature, with a heart full of warmth and kindness to share with others. She tends to be very giving, aiming to amass her knowledge to give onto others so that they may know as she does of the world. She dislikes being alone, and can usually be found among her librarian peers or sitting among a group of cubs sharing some grand story or amazing fact. She is an honest creature, and doesn't like to lie, even if necessary - she believes a lowly trait to lie. At times she can be headstrong, but she believes it all for the claiming of knowledge to share with others, bantering with others or hunting in earnest for something worthwhile to add to her collection. She looks to others for affirmation that she is doing a good job, believing that she has not done something quite good enough, that it could be better.

xxxDoes she agree with the tribes disdain for light tribe or light pelts? What disdain? No disdain exists for either Light pelts or those among the Light Tribe.
xxxWhat is her view on her task? To put it simply: she adores it. She thrives on knowledge! She is very set into her task of gaining knowledge and making sure it is saved for generations to follow, whether it be historical events, mundane information on plants and animals, maps of the city, and just about anything else you can think of.
xxxWhat kind of plots would you like for her?
◘ I would love to plot her with plenty of cubs as to go with her being a giver of knowledge onto others
◘ I think it would be amazing to have her possibly visit other tribes (at Gabriel's behest of course), so that she can continue to add to her knowledge.
◘ Perhaps some RPs where she is judged harshly by peers or even by her Soul-bound that her work is not good enough, or needs to be better.
◘ There are many ideas I could come up with, but as she is not directly in my mind just yet, I can't get them all written down!
xxxTell me more:

A rumble of a growl left Sophia's throat as she paced in front of the tablet, her eyes narrowed in scrutiny as she read over the contents time and time again. It didn't flow quite right and her head ached with the itch that it was not good enough.

No!

This tome had to be perfect, it had to be! It was to be given to Gabriel at nightfall tomorrow regarding the plans for the upcoming Festival and the Acts that were to be occurring at the next full Moon.

When she had gone to get the old record from it's resting place, it had been found to be in disrepair and mostly illegible, making her blood run as chilled as the ice in the mountains. What was she to do?! Since awakening, she had been given the task by Gabriel to care for and continue the records of life inside and outside the Dark Tribe. Yet she felt that she had broken some great taboo, finding such a thing in the Library.

So the only thing that came to mind was to try her hardest to transcribe everything onto the thinned out, papery hide of a Floofalo that had been tanned to a steady thickness. It would do until she could find something better.

She had then taken a brush of fur that was all smoothed into a graceful tip and dipped it carefully into a pot of ochre ink made out of berries. The smell had been sickeningly sweet as she stared between the clean sheet to the old ruined copy and began to slowly, lovingly let the brush flow across the hide, the other end clasped firmly between her teeth. Stroke by stroke, the tome began to take on a new life on the tanned leather, each glyph laid out in the dark ink as perfect as she could get it....

She could feel herself shaking with apprehension. Was each word legible? Would Gabriel approve of her redoing the old tome? Or would he be furious? She had no way of knowing.

The sound of heavy pawsteps reached her ears and she looked up from her scrutiny, her eyes wide with worry. It was Gabriel. His large figure seemed as large as a mountain to her right now, terrifying and commanding. She waited for his booming voice to shake her and for her to be sent to the Grand Weaver for her presumptuousness.

But the only voice that reached her was a quiet one, full of intrigue. "Ah, this looks better than I remember it! Did you redo it?" Gabriel spoke with an almost amused air. She stared at him, baffled for a moment, before a trembling response managed to leave her. "Y-Yes, sire... The old one was in t-terrible shape. I feared it was not befitting to present it to you in such a condition. So I... redid it." The Magus looked up from looking over the hide and, perhaps she dreamed it, a smile touched his face. "You did well, Sophia. Have no fear. Some of these tomes need care, and it is well that I chose you, considering how well you transferred the words into new life. I will bring this to the planners and start the preparations for our upcoming Festival." He bowed his head minutely and Sophia scrambled to bow her trembling frame as he departed. But she was not trembling from fear, for now it was joy that filled her.

xxxTell me about her relationship with the chiseler:
Sophia looks to him for guidance and loves to listen to his ideas. When not leading him and helping him with the information-keeping, she enjoys watching him carve with an ease she is quite jealous of. Being near him fills her with a comfort other company doesn't quite give her.

((This is rough as I do not currently know the personality of the Lead Chiseler, so I went with some loose bits. Dependent on how the Chiseler is written, this relationship could change))

The Quiz♦♦♦

xxxWhat is(are) Dark Tribes Primary Feature(s)? Their bat wings, and prominent upper canines.
xxxWhat is the rule on Light Pelts? They aren't discriminated against, but they are strongly encouraged to take up positions within the city, as their lighter pelts make it hard for them to hide in the shadows of the outside world.
xxxWhat are "Non-Hereditary Nobility" Titles? How do you obtain one? Is it possible to obtain a "Hereditary Nobility" Title via the same way (Briefly Explain why or why not)? Non-Hereditary Nobility are characters who obtain a title through an approved plot. For instance, the Actors and Toy Maker's Apprentices all work beneath the Toy Maker and his Assistant, who are Hereditary Nobility. A character may set up an audition plot with the Assistant, and when he/she is hired, they gain the title of Actor, or Apprentice. Hereditary Nobility cannot be obtained in this manner, since they are considered founding characters of the Tribe. Hereditary Nobility can only be obtained through special events.
xxxWho are the Dark Tribes Allies? Enemies? They are allies with the Light and Earth Tribes. They've maintained a neutral relationship with all other tribes. Pretty impressive for a tribe that feeds on others' blood!

About the B'alam ♦♦♦

xxxWhat's her name? Constanta
xxxxxxMeaning? "Steadfast"
xxxPersonality ||

Casually observing Constanta, you would not think her a Passionate soul. She seems utterly detached from her surroundings and the people within them. She exudes a cool confidence in public, dispensing both salutations and giving orders with the same polite manner. Outside of her Better Half, she rarely forms a relationship with anyone closer than that of an amiable co-worker. It is not that she is disdainful of others. Quite the opposite, if fact. She is utterly fascinated by the workings of society, and quite passionate about her duties as Master Scribe.

However, Constanta's Passions are all-consuming. Before her Other Half came along, she found it difficult to connect to anyone on a deeply emotional scale. She was too interested in the relationships between people on a macro scale. She looked for patterns in how groups interacted, and how those interactions in turn affected other groups. While her ability to research these patterns on her own was limited, her devotion to the research taught her iron-clad organization skills and time management. She has high expectations from those who work under her, but strives to lead by example.

xxxDoes she agree with the tribes disdain for light tribe or light pelts? There is no disdain for light pelts within the tribe, and the Light Tribe is the ally of the Dark Tribe!
xxxWhat is her view on her task? Constanta took on the title of Master Scribe like a bird released from a cage into the open sky. With a small army of Librarians at her disposal, she can observe the world around her and conduct research to her hearts' content. The upkeep of Gabriel's personal Library and keeping of the records is happy work for Constanta, since it falls so neatly into place with her own passions.
xxxWhat kind of plots would you like for her? Reading over what I've written for her, she's basically an excellent Master Intelligence gatherer. I think it would make for an interesting plot for her to help uncover a conspiracy, or perhaps overstep her bounds and being spying on other Tribes in her bid for more knowledge!
xxxTell me more:

"When looking at our tribe as a whole, I have found that it helps to think of it as a living body.
The Toy Maker and his troupe form the beating heart of this great organism. Those who enter the Theatre with listless expressions, soon leave with new enthusiasm for their lives and tasks.
My Better-Half creates the skeleton of this tribe, chipping living bone from dead rock. These streets and buildings are a strong foundation for our tribe.
Like any living body, there will be problems. Cancers and sickness that must be cut out and contained. La Muerte and Xibaliba are the Immune System that keeps guard over the Fools and Criminals.
The Ambassadors and their Knights are the paws and teeth of the Tribe, reaching out with sheathed claw or bared fang to procure supplies and keep enemies at bay.
The Arch Magus represents the Spirit of the Tribe, giving us meaning and the common goal toward which we strive."

Constanta paused, and considered the huddle of Librarians before her. She was pleased to see that most had noted the omission in her analogy, and remained silent, waiting for her to continue. There were a couple individuals fidgeting and darting glances at the others, looking for cues. Constanta made a mental note to have one of the Lead Librarians take them aside for a private lecture on proper deportment.

"We, as Librarians, represent the Mind of the tribe. We hold the history of the Tribe, it's memories. As the Mind, it is our sacred duty to teach and inspire those beneath our station. For the common people represent the Blood and Muscle of our Tribe. Without them, the Heart fails, the Skeleton crumbles, the Immune System collapses, the Mind breaks, and the Spirit withers. We must work together to enable our Tribe to thrive. It makes no sense for the Heart to turn against the Skeleton, nor for the Mind to spurn the Immune System. Librarian Madalina?"

One of the huddle flinched, and Constanta added a mental underscore to the earlier deportment note.

"I have received reports from La Muerte stating that for the past two months, your Library has failed to send the required number of staff to read to the Fools." Constanta stated, and fell silent.

"We have experienced a greater number of patrons to our Library in the last two months, Mistress Scribe. I believed the Fools to be a lesser concern than keeping our scrolls in order under the circumstances." Madalina explained, having recovered at least enough dignity to deliver her excuse without fidgeting.

"We read to the Fools in order to pacify them. Our efforts help La Muerte and her Guards to keep the Fools under control, and have, in the past, even helped some of the Fools becoming contributing members of the Tribe. Librarian Madalina, your duty as a Librarian is to serve. If you would deny the least of us such simple comfort, you must be willing to deny yourself that same comfort. I am suspending your title for two months time. You may not step foot within a Library during that time. At the end of two months, report back here to me. We shall discuss any further remunerations to be made to La Muerte at that time. Librarian Adolfo will oversee that Library in the meantime, and I will be adding two additional Librarians to alleviate the strain of additional patrons. Dismissed."

Constanta never could stand to waste time once a situation had been properly addressed. The seasoned staff were used to such abrupt dismissals, and they ushered out the less experienced. The unfortunate Madalina left with head hung low. Constanta waited until they had all left, then turned to her stationary set. She transcribed the details of the meeting with quick, efficient strokes, spread sand across the parchment to dry the ink more quickly. Only when the dried scroll was safely added to satchel of that day's notes did Constanta leave to seek out her Better Half.

xxxTell me about her relationship with the chiseler: Before she'd met him, Constanta had more or less satisfied herself with experiencing deep emotion vicariously through the relationships she observed. Considering some of those she observed never seemed to find their calling, she considered herself lucky to have her work, the one emotionally fulfilling passion in her life. However, when she met him, she was surprised to discover she, of all people, had two equally fulfilling passions. She considers herself beyond blessed to have him. But, rather like a prized treasure, she only ever shares the depths of her feelings for him when they are in the privacy of their own rooms. In public, she may speak fondly of him, calling him her Better Half, but keeps all other outward feelings for him under strict control.

About the B'alam ♦♦♦

xxxWhat's his name? Rapture Marionette
xxxxxxMeaning?
rap·ture
ˈrapCHər/
noun
1. A feeling of intense pleasure or joy.

mar·i·on·ette
ˌmerēəˈnet/
noun
a puppet worked from above by strings attached to its limbs.
xxxPersonality ||
Just as his name suggests: intense pleasure or joy. It is as if the Weaver himself, wove him to be the compleat embodiment of such joy. So much so, he needed to give it a new name: Rapture.

Rapture is a artist and a fun loving crafter...which enjoys a prank or two. He highly respects the Magus and the Toy Marker, so much so he has been successful in spreading the rumor that he is only a puppet; one that was carved by the Master Toy Maker. Stringing along others to his fancy, that the toy maker uses shadow magic to hide the strings and paw picked the finest of materials, and with master craftsmanship to help hide obvious joints. Rapture, of course, only does this in deep regard and praise to his Master.

Slow to anger, he is vary understanding as he is also a teacher to the cubins (Cubs). After all, who better to teach puppetry, then himself?

The cubins, the are dear and full of wonder to the toy maker. Awe inspiring, he often comes up with a lot of the plays, by watching the cubs well...play. Being just a big cub too, Rapture is a bit childish when it comes with dealing with conflict, or aggression. He likes to laugh, or actually move his puppets to mock the other and talk for him, if anything to get just a laugh. He masks a lot of emotion with laughter.

Stage and performance: He takes vary seriously, as they come from they Toy Maker himself. Rapture works hard with the theater staff and apprentices to make sure everything goes according to the Toy Maker's and Gabriel's plans. Costumes are feverishly worked on for adults and Cubs alike, puppets are fined tuned to perfect likeness. Though joyful, it is as if a Rapture could control the weather and darkness when it comes to play week. The Joyful, Toy maker assistant during this time would be wise not to cross and what ever is demanded would be done.

xxxDoes he agree with the tribes disdain for light tribe or light pelts? There is no disdain in the tribe, but rather a requirement that is based on position. If this pertains to him: No, it does not. As a Toy maker, Rapture enjoys color immensely. However, he does agree with the limitations set by the magus, Gabriel.

xxxWhat is his view on his task? It's not really a 'task' to him, but a way of life-just as the grand weaver likes to weave life, he likes to create puppets. Carve life with his own paw. Every careful notch, splinter, carefully placed just as purposefully. In terms of his 'job', he takes it with the upmost attentive detail, as he understands just as Balam go though life and develop scars, so does a toy with ware and misuse. It is why, he spends so much time and care with each one, making sure it is ready to withstand the novice of hands. Also, it's the joy he sees in other's faces, and how the little one's light up, that really warms his soul. It's why the task, isn't a just chore but life's breath that fills his lungs and a spring in his step.

Just for fun:
He personally names every toy and puppet, and gives it his mark at the underside of the creation: 'Carpe Diem', which is a Latin aphorism that means: 'seize the day'. It's there to remind the puppeteer that one has control of their own life, much the control they have with puppet in their paws.

xxxWhat kind of plots would you like for him?

-I would love to see an audition for Balam to puppeteer, the puppets especially in theater festivals.

-How ever this will be plotted out, it would be wonderful to see a playwright of the start of the world and how each tribe became into being. Especially in the Theater of Days past....

-Love, and passion I am always up for some romance. As for who would be a good pair for him, I do not know. Rapture is childish, but not in a way that would make it hard to conceive finding the other half to his soul bound. (HE MUST CARVE BABIES!) It however isn't something he is searching for, he figures if it happens...it happens. The lady, would have to be just as devoted to the Dark Tribe, it's ideals, work, theater and of course, to cubs of all tribes for Rapture's gaze to even wonder to such possibilities.

-I want to see him become magus, (Which he will get there.) simply because it would be easier to craft and control his toys.
-Friendships, I want to see him develope more of a relation to the Magus, the other Fc's, Chronos and the ToyMarker. I want to really Rp this creative soul out and have him rather well known.

- Bards, Wind Tribe. I would love to get the few wind tribers I have in to the plays and Theater. They would forgo their differences for the sake of ART!

-Classes for puppet making, and design for anyb'alam that wants to learn!

-Inventions, and learning how to make them with the stage tech, Chronos.

xxxTell me more:

( For this Entry, I am using Cub NPC's just to show the interaction Rapture has with them, as they are kinda a big part of the concept of Toy Maker. Yes, I know they are not allowed-if it is a problem. Please let me know promptly.

Also, Annoucement just noted.)

"Cubs gather around, listen safe and sound..." A gentle purr left the Toymaker's assistant; his words left him in a enchanted luring coo. Skillful paws purposely shifted the controls of a small little puppet of himself, as he perched back on his hunces. A little stage, made by the Master Toy Maker himself, welcomed the eyes of a few cubs that had been playing in the grand theater.

The itty-bitty marionette's detailed designs, that had been painstakingly carved to match his exact likeness. The puppet's paw moved as if to guesture to the crowd of a few cubs. Luckily, as if planned by the creator himself, The assistant's dark pelt helped create the illusion that he wasn't actually there past the small rouge curtain. Poised above the act, the stage was just at the cub's eye level, Rapture, with praticed paws easily brought the mini-Rapture alive.

With a little jostle and rotate of the paw, he caused the marionette's tail to flick and it's head to look at the eyes watching him back. The Marionette's head tilted to the side and didn't seem impressed.

"Surely, you can gather closer then that." Rapture spoke boggling the marionette's head, the wooden life's paw gestured them closer still.

"Come. Come."

The cub giggled and scooted closer, all eyes peered at the small stage before them. Occasionally, a wondering gaze would flick from the stage up to the puppeteer.

Curious little eyes, they where...

Easily the attention was taken back to the little puppet as Rapture bounced it up in a little 'hop'.

"Ah, just like that. Perfect." Rapture, was careful to keep his body still, and the puppet alive to convey his wanted movements. "What wonderful little listeners you all are." The adult praised happily, his voice as lively as a newly awoken Totem as as smooth as still water.

"I'm not little, you're the little one!" One of the cubs defiantly spoke up, his voice proud and out spoken. Dark chest puffed proudly, he had been always told he had been a large totem at carving. The others shared in teaming laughter.

Ah, laughter such a joyous and wonderful thing.

"Oh, this is true, quite true. Yes!"The Toy Maker's assistant smiled and the puppet stopped and looked at the outspoken cub.

"But it appears your ears are, smaller then my own perhaps. Now-" Rapture teased back, nodding the puppet and turning it's head this way and that. With a little hop of the puppet, Rapture moved it across the stage.

The cubs laughter turned, into a hushed snicker as attention turned back to the marionette as it started to speak once more...

"Listen close, big and small for I am about to tell, a tale of a courages master of the night, and his princess of the light-"

"Tail?..like the one on my butt?" One of the other cubs pipped up. His tail swayed curiously, and soon other cub's followed suite in the sway.

Until...

"No. You dummy." Another cub with well groomed light fur stated mater-of-factually. "It's a story." She finished in a obvious 'duh', resounding in her tone, her darker tail flicked and strightened with a 'alpha' like attitude.

"Now, now." Rapture chuckled, seeing the curious cub's ears had dock and worry place it's self on it's sensitive maw.

Poor thing, he had only asked a question and that should never be discouraged.

"There will be no 'dummy' calling as only 'dummy' here, is me and I am made of wood!" The mini-Rapture states pointy, his voice wonderfully curving in a ridiculous tone as bright as starlight.

There was a cheer of laughter, and a smile placed it's self on the Toy Maker's assistant's maw....

Now, on to the rest of the show...
