-All you need to know about the non-hereditary Nobility titles-

OOC: This goes for all the titles listed!

  • Because of these positions, you must have a character approved in the plot-thread to gain the title of this position! . It is a nobility title and must be quested for.

  • How the character is played is up to the player, however, you RP acknowledging that there can be consequences to characters actions. Always be mindful of the culture you are playing the character in. "Breaking the mold" though sometimes can make for a good story-plot, is not always so and may cause your character to be severely punished IC (As mentioned, the Magus appointed the character to the position and does not like to be betrayed). This is the first generation, there is no need to "break a mold" that is not even in place.

  • When you post a plot for a character and it is approved, do not completely change the character once it has been obtained. This will definitely result in IC consequences and may also result OOC consequences as well. Trust is a hard thing to gain back once it has been broken.

  • If you have questions, feel free to PM the Dark Tribe mule ( Gabriel Dracul Belmont ).

Knights

Quote:

Knights of the Blood-Givers - Knights that have been been appointed to protect a Blood-Giver have been hand-chosen by the Magus himself. They were chosen for a reason, be it their will, spirit, or something in their eyes clued them into the Magus believing they would be trusted with such a special member of the tribe.

IC:

  • If the guardian fails to protect their appointed blood-giver the punishment will range from banishment to death. Depending on the severity of offense. All cases will be judged by the lead Magus. *If death of blood-giver was directly caused by the guardian, the punishment will be death.

  • The guardian is charged with protecting the blood-giver until released of their duties by the magus himself.

  • A guardian is to be loyal to their blood-giver. Multipule relationships will be punished by a stripping of title and a banishment to Xbaliba's care. *Soul-binding is permissible.

  • If a problem arises with their blood-giver (attitude or otherwise), guardians are to report to the Magus or the apointed head of the guards.

  • There is no color restrction for their pelts.

  • More may be added as they come...

Current Blood-Giver's Guardians:

------------------------------------------------------------

Quote:
Ambassador's Guards - Ambassador's guards are appointed to each ambassador to keep her safe as she travels away from the Dark Tribe home.

IC:

  • All guards in this position must be male.

  • Only guards with a dark pelts are allowed to have this title.

  • Ambassador's guards are hand chosen by the Lead Magus and have high expectations placed upon them.

  • Guards are to remain loyal to their appointed Ambassador. Multipule relationships are not permitted for the position. *Only Soul-binding relationships are allowed, though they do so understanding that the guard must travel a lot.

  • Because they are representing the Dark Tribe outside of the home cave, and guarding the ambassador, unnatural activities are not permitted.

  • They -MUST- represent the tribe well. Acting in a displeasing way will result in death or banishment to Xbaliba's care.

  • If anything happens to the Ambassador while in their care, they will be punished. The punishment depends on the crime, which will be judged by the Magus himself.

  • Intentionally harming the Ambassador will result in death or banishment to Xbaliba's care.

  • More may be added as they come...

Current Ambassador's Guards :

------------------------------------------------------------

Quote:
Xibaliba's Wardens of the Banished - Think of glorified Dark Tribe prison guards. They are under the command of Xibaliba and help him in whatever tasks he has planned for the criminals that have been banished. The wardens are in charge of making sure the peace is kept and the criminals do not try anything.

IC:

  • This position is for darker pelts only, nothing brighter than the toxic green on Xibaliba's pelt.

  • They are to stay true to their tasks and do what is commanded of them. Stepping out of line may result in a stripping of their title and joining that which they guard.

  • Fraternizing with banished criminals is an offense punishable by death or banishment.

  • More may be added as they come...

Current Wardens:

------------------------------------------------------------

Quote:
La Muerte's Guardians of the Foolish - Guardians that are tasked with the purpose of making sure the foolish do not cause trouble to the rest of the clan, and sometimes themselves.
IC:

  • All colored pelts are able to apply for this position.

  • Guardians are to watch over the foolish and keep them from harm, as well as harming others.

  • Guardians are to listen to La Murete, any disobedience and they are at risk of being placed in Xibaliba's care.

  • Fraternizing with the foolish may result in being banished to Xibaliba's care OR becoming that which they guard (They will be labeled a fool and be unfit to carry any respectable title).

  • Failure to carry on the duties with this position can result in banishment or death. The punishment is to fit the crime (I.E. If a fool escapes and kills another B'alam, punishment may be death. If they escape and injure someone, punishment can be banishment).

  • Any suspicious activities are to be reported to La Murete.

  • More may be added as they come...

Toy Maker's Apprentices

Quote:
The Apprentices - The apprentices are more or less fancy stage technicians. They help the Toy Maker's Assistant create the wonderful puppets and other props used in the performances. They are also tasked with helping the actors with their props and making sure everything is functional before a show (and help run them during the show). The apprentices work closely with the Master Stage Technician, Chronos, who over sees their tasks. In addition to helping with stage work, they are also tasked with creating toys to give to the young cubs of the many tribes. They make fun things.

IC:

  • Pelts of all colors and patterns are welcome!

  • They are to listen to the Toy Maker's Assistant (as they likely will never meet the actual Toy Maker) and the Master Stage Technician. Failure to do so will result in punishment by the Assistant or the Technician's hand. If it is a repeated offense, thay are in danger of being banished.

  • If they do not carry out their tasks as expected, they are in danger of being punished (which may be the removal of a limb). Repeated offenders risk being banished.

  • They are to uphold an honorable title. It is rumored the Toy Maker is prideful and would be enraged if those who are to represent him did not do so well. Punishment for failing to uphold the honorable title (acting out of the law of the Dark Tribe and the theater) punishment may be death or put in the care of Xibaliba.

  • Child-like spirits are preferred. Despite the high expectations, it is a job involving the making of toys, puppet, and having a vast imagination.

  • Disliking cubs is contradictory of the position. If any of the apprentices is found to dislike cubs, they may be stripped of the title (With that said, don't apply if you don't like to play with puppets and toys).

  • Even the apprentices are known for their creativity! Dull ideas and a lack of enjoyment for the title will result in a stripping of the title and possibly becoming a joke among the other apprentices... possibly spread by the Toy Maker himself.

  • Everyone it to report to the Toy Maker's assistant. In addition, they are to respect that position.

  • Making anything inappropriate will result in death. No question's asked. The Toy Maker will kill you.

  • More may be added as they come...

Theater

Quote:
Actors/Actresses - These are the creative performers of the Dark Tribe. Some of them work with puppets, some act themselves on stage, some are skilled in both. Because thater is so important in the tribe, these roles are looked highly upon. Actors are to be almost as creative as the Toy Maker's group. They have wonderful foot skills and an amazing memory.

IC:

  • Pelts of all colors are permitted!

  • The position is also open to blood-givers and not just for Dark B'alam.

  • They are expected to practice, never miss a practice, and be reliable.

  • Arrogance is not tolerated and will likely result in being pranked by the Toy Maker, Toy Maker's Assistant, have the Toy Maker's Apprentices encouraged to , Master Stage Technician, have the Stage Hands encouraged to. In short, life will be difficult for the arrogant actor.

  • Be kind to the other inhabitants of the theater, everyone has to work together (it is not wise to make a creative techniction or puppet maker mad... you may end up with an insulting puppet made in your image)

  • Missing a performance on purpose may result in a stripping of title and a defacing of character.

  • Actors are expected to be entertaining and graceful on foot.

  • More may be added as they come...

Current Actors/Actresses:

------------------------------------------------------------

Quote:
Stage Hands - The helpers of the theater. They are responsible for cleaning, helping out durring performances and even the set-up/tear down of sets.

IC:

  • All colored pelts are welcome, darker pelts are encouraged for Ushers.

  • Blood-Givers are able to have this title.

  • More may be added as they come...

Ambassadors

Quote:
Ambassadors - They are to go out of the tribe and keep in contact with the other tribes when needed. Ambassadors are also in charge of collecting resources, such as flowers, to be used during the fall festivals. When they report back they report to the Lords and even the high King and Queen themselves.

IC:

  • Ambassadors are female only.

  • Only Dark colored pelts are permitted for the position,

  • Ambassadors are to represent the Dark Tribe, and as such are chosen by the lead magus himself. If anyone is found to be misrepresenting the Dark Tribe, they will be killed.

  • Ambassadors are able to soul-bind to one of their guards. This is encouraged, though they are permitted to find a mate not with the guard title. *Only offspring producing pairs are permitted for the ambassador title. They prefer the Ambassador to pass along her title and knowledge to the family line.

  • The offspring of the ambassadors are to be brought before the lead magus before they are allowed to claim their mother's title.

  • Sons will not inherit the Ambassador title, but they are permitted to be guards if they have a dark pelt.

  • Daughters will inherit the Ambassador title (they must have a dark pelt).

  • More may be added as they come...

Lead Librarians

Quote:

The Librarians - In charge of keeping tablets and scrolls safe and readable. They are also in charge of keeping their libraries clean and the staff within them busy.

IC:

  • Pelts of all colors are welcome.

  • Blood-givers are able to apply for this title as well.

  • All libraries are expected to be clean and in order. Failure to do so may result in a stripping of tittle.

  • Altering of documents is not permitted and will result in banishment to Xibaliba's care.

  • More may be added as they come...

Blood-Givers

Quote:
The Blood-Giver - Non-dark tribe members who volunteer to live in the territory for the purpose of "donating" their blood. Dark tribe members are allowed to feed off of them (in controlled moderation) in exchange for a life of luxury. Each blood giver is appointed a personal guard, a house in the upper levels of the city, free passes to any theater event, and are honored for their gift. They are well pampered and very well taken care of. They are also considered as honorary members of the tribe.

IC:

  • If a b'alam appears to be afflicted with a deformity, illness, or birth defect, their blood is considered to be tainted and they do not understand what can be passed through blood. *As knowledge increases, and there is a greater understanding of such things, this rule may be more lax.

  • Blood givers are rarely sick! Their blood is constantly replenishing itself and they are well taken care of.

  • If in the event a blood giver is sick, no dark-tribe member is to drink from them. They are taken care of until they recover fully.

  • If they wish to have a mate, than that mate should also be healthy. Anyone the blood giver interacts with should be healthy. *Blood-givers are able to pick mates who are from any tribe, even Dark members. They are also permitted to have a relationship with their guardian. Blood-givers may only have one other mate.

  • Though pampered and considered high-class honorary citizens, they are expected to follow the laws of the tribe. They are also expected to be loyal to the lead Magus.

  • If they break the law, they may still be punished. Punishment depends on the crime. If they murder another, they will be killed themselves. They may also be banished to Xibaliba's care. They are not above the laws of the tribe and will be tried as one.

  • They are to be kind to their guards. If a guard reports being mistreated, they will be investigated. If found guilty they may be punished. Repeated offenses may result in jail.

  • If a blood giver agrees to give blood to gain the title, but refuses to deliver, they will be put in jail until the tribe feels they have taken enough blood to be repaid their hospitality. They will than be cast out of the tribe.

  • More may be added as they come...
