This ‘contest’ is for all Goldriders in Dragonflight:An Alternative Pern and runs from the posting of these Rules to the closing of Metaplot Arc 3.
There is no single event to judge, no single RP on which this rides. Instead the contest will run as follows:
- Any interested Goldrider must be active and participate in shop events on a regular basis.
Any interested Goldrider must post their RPs as they are completed in the Gold Reporting Thread. These links must include date begun and date finished. The staff will be reviewing both the frequency and quality of the RPs submitted.
Any interested Goldrider can lead player-run events in which the potential Weyrwoman assists with lessons, drills, or other daily facets of life at the Weyr. The player must plan and execute these events on their own, confirming them with the Staff and post the event in the Gold Reporting Thread. Frequency and quality of these events will be reviewed.
Participation in the metaplot is a must. All participating in metaplot events must be reported in the Gold Reporting Thread, including a summary of the decisions made by the potential Weyrwoman and the reasons behind those decisions.
Thread and Shop activity will be tracked. We want an active Goldrider for the Weyrwoman position.
The next weyrwoman will be chosen based on: activity, consistency, leadership, reliability, demonstrated interest, quality of RP, and dedication. The decision will be 90% Staff Vote and a 10% Shop Vote.
Application to and acceptance of the Weyrwoman implies the following: 1) The player is agreeing to allow the shop NPC play the character if needed for metaplot purposes, 2) if the player goes inactive for 6 IRL months, the character is completely NPC’d and played according to the given personality as a shop NPC, 3) should the MIA player return, they must accept all actions, decisions, and characterization of the Goldrider as canon and abide by them, 4) the player has no control over the resulting clutches nor the choosing of the next Weyrwoman, 5) while the PC Weyrwoman may have a Weyrmate, all Flights will be open flights.
Upon acceptance as a Weyrwoman, the player will be consulted on decisions relating to the role a Weyrwoman (and Weyrleader) play in a Weyr. This will affect metaplot direction to some degree but will not steer it completely.
Abuse of the power of the position will result in it being stripped and, depending on the circumstances, either greylisting or blacklisting of the player.
