"If you saw Atlas, the giant who holds the world on his shoulders, if you saw that he stood, blood running down his chest, his knees buckling, his arms trembling but still trying to hold the world aloft with the last of his strength, and the greater the effort the heavier the world bore down upon his shoulders -- what would you tell him to do?"
"I don't know. What could he do? What would you tell him?"
"To shrug."
- Francisco d'Anconia and Hank Rearden, from Ayn Rands' "Atlas Shrugged"
I don't know why, but anytime I read anything that Francisco says, I have this sudden urge to write...especially this. Francisco really inspires me, even though it takes a long time for what he says to process.

"What if I told you that 10 years from now your life would be exactly the same? You wouldn't be very happy. So, why are you afraid of change?" - Karen (don't remember last name)

"tho’ we are not now that strength which in old days Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield." -from Ulysses by Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
(I was thrilled when it showed up in Skyfall. One of my favorite Romance era poems.)

Hi, new here, hope to insert some Good 'Ol Douglas Adams here. ^_^
"The Major Difference between something that might go wrong and something that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair."
"He felt that his whole life was some kind of a dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it."
