I teach at a junior college that has a somewhat limited list of lit courses (to ensure transferability). I primarily teach British and World Lit. We’re revamping our offerings, so I’m going to (eventually) get to pick up a literature appreciation course that I can theme however I want. I’m hoping to do some graphic novels, young adult lit, and genre fiction. My research is primarily in children’s and young adult literature and media, so I like incorporating those things where I can. What about you?
I saw your comics/graphic novels thread in the books forum and I was just curious what texts you decided to put on your syllabus? I teach literature, too, and I'm always curious how others are structuring their courses. (Hopefully this doesn't sound incredibly awkward.)
sweet thread, but i could never create a list like that, it would be to longg,....................................................................................................
