Ilyia pinched her lips closed, but nodded all the same, looking down to her blade with a nearly-forlorn worry.
"Is there a way you know of that will bring him away from the throne room? I doubt he will have left, but I seriously doubt I have the strength to stand up to him at the pinnacle of all this disaster."

"I may know a means of doing so, however I will need to know where to lead him."

Admittedly Ilyia had yet to think of such a location, and her recent travels through the castle had proven disheartening enough, though she suspected that any chance of a duel in an arena would prove disastrous, and just as she dismissed it, her thoughts shifted to something even less concealed...
"The gate... not within the castle itself, and likely to be far-enough removed from the source to render any empowerment lessened, however slightly..."
She went to her window, considering the outer walls with a smile.
"Can it be done, Tuomas? Can you drag him so far from the castle itself? If not... even the library seems rather secluded; anywhere should work, provided I can find my way."

The youth nodded.
"I cannot guarantee anything, but I shall do everything within my power to lure him away from the throne room."
He joined Ilyia at the window as he pondered the layout of the castle's grounds.
"Would the courtyard be acceptable?"

Ilyia nodded, surrendering to Tuomas' superior knowledge of the mappings and turned to the doorway, though she looked back at him for a moment as she opened the door. She shuddered, noticing an extraordinary difference in the levels of darkness within.
"Godspeed, Tuomas. I'm afraid this isn't looking any better..."
She took off down the hall, a silver shimmer following her hands as she consistently kept herself protected from the environment itself.

Tuomas nodded as he watched her leave. He could also feel the palpable increase in dark power circulating throughout the castle.
"Indeed. Best of luck to you as well, Ilyia."
Taking a deep breath, the youth headed back to the throne room.
