Konoha Forests
The forests around Konoha are peaceful however and enjoy a quiet serenity that is difficult to find in other countries. The dense wooded area flows outward from Konohagakure, leaving the wide dirt roads which lead to the village gates and slowly morphing into the dense, tall trees which Konoha is known for. After only a few miles, the forests thicken and the trees rise to the towering hundred foot heights between the strong, towering giants which compose the forests.
The trees themselves have large gaps between them and trunks which rise over a hundred feet, only to lead into wide branches which ninja can jump between at incredible speeds, making travel through the forests quick and easy. Ninja typically have no difficulty with this, but even a small slip-up could send someone plummeting over a hundred feet into the hard grassy surface below if they are not careful. These forests extend outward from Konohagakure on all sides and thus are a necessary step for both exit and entry to Konohagakure from all other points in the Land of Fire.

Chakra: 30|| Stamina: 27|| Status: Healthy || Byakugan: Inactive "The world has forgotten the evil of the Bijuu...Waiting a moment for both Sai and Zenko to emerge from the forest, the Atsureki let his pale gaze wander over the landscape. He could just spot a small walled in village, perhaps two or three miles away, what looked like farmland spreading out from the central location. I wonder if that is the same village that Haruko fled from before wandering into the forest,, the young Hyuuga wondered. Shrugging as Zenko and Sai made there way towards him, Atsureki watched as Jouji and Haruko made there way west before turning his gaze northward, to their own destination of Konoha. Nodding to Sai, Atsureki took off, taking point as he usually did, feeling for any unusual chakra signatures as they made their way through the dense forest surrounding the village....  Konaga Sai| Konaga Clan | Akatsuki | Jounin | RPC Profile | Travel was uneventful into the large overgrown forests of Konoha, but despite their escape from the choking claustrophobia of the Chakra Forests, Sai had no time to feel relieved. Sudden waves of pain began to radiate throughout his body in a flare of activity. The pain intensified and grew, his body feeling like it was on fire as he leaped from treetop to treetop, but it was not so debilitating that he was unabel to focus on the task at hand. Hitting each stride with a solid thump on the large branches of the forest Sai looked forward to their eventual arrival despite the pain coursing through his body. Getting past the gates should be a fairly routine operation of masquerading as foreigners, but gathering information would have to be more subtely achieved.
As they began toa pporach the border of the forest which would lead to the gates of the village, Sai suddenly weaved a few hand seals as a sudden puff of smoke rose about him. What was strange however was that the Henge technique didn't seem to change much about him, though the changes clearly made him look rather different. the scars from his face and arms were gone, his tainted and dulled skin tone now a healthy pinkish color and his hair changed from the whitish color to a solid black. The concept was simple. Sai had been in this village before and this would remove any suspicion that the asame man had returned. More then that, looking "normal" avoided even more questions that might be asked... and if discovered that he was using a Henge, a simple excuse of 'self consciousness' made it all seem perfectly normal. Erupting from the forest not long after Atsureki, the trio made their way on foot down the dirt path which led to the village, it's gates wide open for visitors. Sai remained calm and stoic however, ready to take the role assigned to him as Zenko weaved a web of lies to the guards.{{Exit to Konoha Gates}}

They had come to forests of the Land of Fire sooner than Jouji had anticipated but it was of no matter, that his place had once been his home was irrelevant precisely because it 'had' been his home. Did he miss some parts of it? Naturally, but everyone missed something of their former home, well excluding those who were deeply traumatized by their homes. He hated himself for being so pedantic.
The group divided and parted ways with Sai, Atsureki and Zenko making their ways towards Konoha and Jouji and the female medic heading west-southwest towards one of the forest borders. Of course he got stuck with the long trip.
He motioned for his companion to follow him with a quick flick of his hand as continued on track, annoyed both the absence of questions from her so far, and the prospect that she would eventually ask questions which he would have to answer. He ruffled his hair and jokingly wondered if it was too late to skip out on the Akatsuki, but he knew the answer to that, it had been too late for a long time.

X Kansatsuryoku | Suiton | Special Jounin | Wanderer "Trust is a fragile thing, easily tainted and broken..." They soon arrived into the lush green forests encircling the infamous Village Hidden in the Leaves and Haruko took a moment to stop and assess her surroundings. 'Hm...this place is rather familiar...ah...no wonder...' About three miles off, Haruko could just barely make out the outline but it was as obvious to Haruko which village it was. A small smirk made its way to her face at the through and she patted her back pouch as she thought of her prize. 'Still sucked that I got caught but I guess you can say I ended up with something better...something, if they are true to their claim, will help me achieve my goals...' Haruko watched as the others departed off towards one direction leaving Haruko alone with Jouji. Turning to her companion, she saw him motion towards the southwest. Most likely towards some other part of the forest and pass the board leading to Suna.
Following diligently, Haruko took another few minutes to gather her questions before parting her lips to speak. "Seeing how you have yet to say anything to me Joiji-san, it should be safe to assume you're waiting on me to start my chain of questions? Honestly, I don't have all that much to ask and if you don't mind, I rather hear what you have to say first. Lets me know which questions I can take off the list. If you want though, I'll be more then happy to let loose my long list of inquiries." In truth, Haruko didn't really have all that much to say but there's a better chance of her getting an answer from the man if she did. Well at least that's what she was banking on. 'Most people tend to shy away from the long question lists so in order to avoid that they give the person what they want. Not sure how well this psychological trick will work but I guess I'll wait and see.' Ignoring the throbbing pains of her wounds for now, Haruko did her best to maintain a steady pace that would allow her to remain within less than a foot away from her guide.

By focusing chakra into the soles of their feet, a shinobi can attach themselves to a hard surface, such as trees or solid walls and walk or run up them with ease. A careful balance must be struck between applying too much chakra, which would crush the surface on contact and thus make you lose your footing, and applying too little chakra causing you to fall off the surface. (This technique costs 2 chakra points to initiate, but has no retention cost) [This jutsu does not count towards an RPC's jutsu limits]

Soon after departing from the village, Nakaya found himself deep within the forest. He knew maps of the roads from a few cartography classes he took in the academy, so navigating was no problem. What was on his mind was Master Mori and his company. Haseo had been a nice enough fellow, but with that kind of company, Nakaya knew he couldn't write him off as anything less than a potential threat. His senses were sharper than the average shinobi. He could feel evil power radiating off of them. Their chakra was not like his own or that which he sensed from other ninja. No, it was that of the demons who had attacked his village. He looked back to Hasu briefly, and then looked ahead just in time to avoid a spider web with a flick of his head to the side. This anbu member... he hadn't noticed before, but the man wasn't exactly a strong one as far as chakra. In fact, Nakaya wondered why he had a level of chakra akin to that of a genin. Still, if he was an anbu member, than he was clearly that for a reason. Nakaya yelled out back for his leader to hear. He could sense pretty far, and the only chakra he picked up were from little animals.
Hey, team leader, he called back still unsure of what his name was oddly. Those visitors that came to the village, I don't like them. he called back landing on a branch, and then leaping forth with a spin to look at his team mates briefly before turning again to land. I could feel... such evil chakra from them. I doubt they are who they say they are. he hollered back again. He was interested in them, and afraid of what could be about to happen.

   Hasu...(Tsukiakari Hikaru - [RPC Profile])Konohagakure | ANBU (ROOT division)The mission had remained fairly routine for sometime now as the team leaped through the treetops of the forests immediately surrounding Konoha. Hikaru would estimate that it had been about an hour since they had started moving and they were making good pace without any interruptions. Continuing on with his normal disposition, Hikaru suddenly heard the voice of Nakaya speaking to them from the head of the group. Travelling at the speeds they were, his voice was able to reach them with enough ease and Hikaru heard what the boy was saying and analyzed it the best he could. Hikaru had no such sixth sense as Sensor ninja did, so when he heard them describe such things he had to acknowledge it. In this case however, in this case to use someone's chakra signature to determine the worth of one's character seemed a strange thing...
"So we're judging people's character and intentions by the look and feel of their chakra now? How can you even classify one's chakra as evil?... and even if that were so, does it mean that the wielder of this 'evil' chakra are themselves inherently evil as well? Does that mean that all evil people exude evil chakra? I would think that if that were the case then all traitors and miscreants within a village would have been weeded out and exiled or killed long ago." Hikaru gave the line of thought time to sink in as he was dubious about Nakaya's interpretation of the visitor's chakra... but still there was something to be uneasy about.
"I would agree that there was something odd about the trio, but honestly what else could we have done? The gate guardian was clearly on top of things and by her line of questioning, you can tell she had her doubts which she will report to the Hokage at her next shift change. If the absence of a few Genin and a single ANBU agent is the undoing of the village then why would we bother letting anyone in or out of the village? I understand your concern, and if you wish to include it in your report to the Hokage, that would be fine. But for now, we are on a mission and you need to focus... or you might unexpectedly find something more dangerous then a cobweb in your path which will not allow you to duck out of the way just in the nick of time."

Saiyuri had been dutifully following Takashi, obviously a little slower than the rest. She was not as physically capable as the others in her group, but made up for it with her mind power. To make up for the lack of power, Saiyuri used her levitate skill to help her move from branch to branch. She tried her best to stay focused, but this was the first time she had been outside of the village. Saiya had studied maps and histories of other villages, but that was hardly a replacement for the real deal. So she was set upon looking around and taking in her surroundings, while remembering to keep a look out for anything out of the ordinary.
Her attentions went to Kay as he turned to speak, and she caught his words that were carried on the wind. Hasu answered as objectively as ever, staying true to what Saiyuri has seen of him so far. She agreed with what he was saying, though Saiyuri intended to research the small group upon their return. Maybe it would turn out to be nothing at all, which Saiya secretly hoped it was. She noticed Takashi glancing back at her every now and then, probably checking up on her. Saiya smiled softly and created a link with him before thinking. "You should not worry about me so much Takashi, I may not be the strongest or the fastest, but my strengths lay elsewhere." She said, referring to her ninjutsu, medical techniques and her Mayu Clan abilities.
"I'll follow you through Hell and back, level the entire shinobi world, or tear down the sky if you only wish it so."
