Trinkets old life with Ryvan
PostPosted: Sat Dec 26, 2009 11:17 pm

In the past: pd with adriel

Trinket was bored, her mother was waiting for a perscription up at the counter and it looked like it was going to be a while so she had told Trinket that she could wander around a little bit so long as she controlled her tentacles and didn't knock anything off of the shelves. Not that the tentacles were all that likely to move that far from her body at that moment, they seemed to be very touchy feely since she had grown, always petting at her, smoothing out her hair or skirt or touching her in some way. She wasn't really paying attention to where she was wandering, more concerned with batting the tentacles away from the hem of her skirt, and found herself staring up at a display of pain killers. She turned to wander in another direction, her skirt swirling as she did knocking a small bottle of extra strength pain killers from a lower shelf. Sighing she followed the rolling bottle so she could pick it up and replace it on its shelf.

A hand reached down to pick up the rolling bottle that was headed towards his foot. Adriel gave a chuckle, what he was looking for seemed to have come to him. He looked up as he heard the swish of a dress his gaze locking onto a small girl who had purple skin and two rather familar looking tentacles. Chii and Fuu were thrilled. They reached out instantly wanting hugs and touching. They wanted nothing more than to twist around the smaller limbs in greeting but Adriel straightened himself looking down at the little girl and after a stern look at both Chii and Fuu they withdrew although they looked crushed to not be allowed to say hello to the new little spawn. "Hello there." He said slowly, he felt...strange he...had been around older folk so long he ..had nearly forgotten the facility was still creating more of their kind.

Trinket smiled up at the older spawn "Hello, I'm sorry for hitting you in the foot with a bottle, oh you have tentacles too! Are you from the facility as well?" She was curious, she had never met any other spawn with tentacles before. The only other time she had seen them before had been when she met J'her, would this boy be like J'her had been? Tiima and Sia moved from Trinket's side reaching out towards the other set of tentacles, they wanted to touch the other tentacles, curious if they would be as nice as J'her's tentacles had been. Trinket batted at the offending limbs, "Behave!"

Adriel gave her a smile as she told her own limbs to behave it reminded him of when he was young.
"Yes...I am. My name is Adriel." He started then he pointed to his left limb, "This is Fuu and this is Chii." He said finishing off by pointing at his right tentacoo. Both offered the girl a wave.
"And I best ask you before they can't stand it any longer...is it alright if they give you a hug?" He inquired as he knew the limbs would only fidget until the girl was gone.

"My name is Trinket." She smiled brightly at the boys question "of course its okay!" Trinket liked hugs, she always had, and she never turned down an offer for one. "These pests are Tiima and Sia," she gestured to her left and right tentacles respectivley "they don't like to listen very well." She stepped towards the boy, Tiima and Sia straining towards the other tentacles, so that she could get the afformentioned hug, "Do Fuu and Chii listen better, or is it just a tentacle thing, I couldn't tell if J'her's tentacles listened to her when I met her, I wasn't there for long enough.

Adriel laughed as he knelt so that Chii and Fuu cuold have better access at the girl. It seemed...perverted in some what..and yet not. They both dashed out eagerly wrapping around Tiima and Sia stroking each one in a much loving manner. Adriel feeling a bit out of place opened is arms to give the girl a hug to.
"I think its an age thing...mine only bothered listening to me lately.." He said with a small laugh.

Tiima and Sia stroked at Chii and Fuu as well twisting around the other tentacles. Trinket grinned and stepped closer to hug the boy she had just met. "I hope they start listening sooner, they like to bother me all the time. I'm taking ballet now becuase mother said that it would teach me limb control and that maybe it would help me keep Tiima and Sia out of trouble."

Or get into more trouble. He thought this to himself as he recalled trying gymnastics as well tennis to try and help keep the limbs preoccupied...instead he just made a fool of himself.
"Oh? Ballet? DO you like to dance?" He inquired as he gave the girl a hug. There was nothing perverted about the hug, the man himself seemed to be just like an older brother or old friend. Thoguh Chii and Fuu slipped around the othe two appendages some could call it sexual. He withdrew from the hug and went to stand back up finding he had to tug at the pair of tentacles who..after a moment relunctantly released Tiima and Sia. But they still stayed within easy tentacle reach.

She nodded "It's fun, but it's hard too, my teacher said that at the end of the year we would be having a recital to show off what we have learned so far. Maybe you could come see!" Trinket thought nothing of inviting a boy she had just met, the teacher had said that they could invite their friends and family and the boy was nice, and he had hugged her which was something friends did. Sia slipped back to Trinket's side curling and twisting to play with the ribbon of her dress. Tiima on the other hand was less eager to return to Trinket's side, instead reaching out to touch at Adriel's tentacles.

Adriel gave a chuckle, already he was invited to watcha tennis match and now a ballet recitel. He gave a small sigh, thinking on how...nice it would be to have a family like this. His own mother had been too busy to really allow him to attempt sports for long periods of time. He was just too awkward anyway.
"Well..thank you. That would be nice to see." he said though he wondered if he would see the girl before then or how her mother or father would feel about a grown man their daughter just met coming to see her dance. Chii and Fuu ....hesistated only a second and then they launched themselves at Tiima. Eager to give it attention Fuu curled around it whilst Chii stroked it in a loving manner.

"If you give me your adress or phone number I can make sure my mother sends you an invitation, she said I could invite whoever I wanted so long as I told her who to send the invitations to! Have you ever been to a recital? We have to audition to get a good part in it. Mother said that it would go fine and that auditions were the easy part!" The little girl was excited about the recital and given the chance to talk about it she could go on and on about her classes. Tiima happily twisted around the other tentacles eager to get as much attention as possible.

Adriel nodded his head at all the right times and shook his head as well.
"No I have never gone, no one has ever invited me." He explained as he chuckeled a bit. Perhaps if he was to go it would be best if ..he actually met the parent breifly.
"sounds like you are really excited about it though." He continued with a nod of his head.
Chii continued to fondle Tiima though Fuu was getting distracted by Sai and actually went to poke it.

"Yes I am very excited, all the older girls came into class and told us about their recital last year and how much fun it was. They were all so tall and pretty, someday I'mma look like them! Only I have tentacles. Did you want to come give my mother your adress so we could send you the invitation?" Sia poked back at Fuu twisting to grab ahold of the other tentacle while Tiima simply continued playing with Chii happy to get to touch the other tentacle as much as it wanted.

Adriel shoo'd Fuu away from Sia and then withdrew Chii slowly.
"Yes if that will be alright with them I don't see why not." he explained as he had now tow pouting tentacles in his hands.

Sia and Tiima swatted at Adriel, angry that he had taken the others away. Trinket sighed "sorry about them." And lead the older boy towards where she remembered her mother last standing.

Ryvan had just finished paying for the perscription and was turning to go find her daughter when she saw the girl heading towards her leading a tentacled boy towards her as well. She smiled lightly, it seemed her daughter had made another friend. She walked towards the duo stopping a few feet infront of them "Well I see you've managed to make another friend today havn't you?"

Trinket nodded "His name is Adriel and he has tentacles as well and he is going to come to my recital, I invited him." She smiled nodding the whole while as if each statement needed confirmation.

Adriel felt a bit awkward being brought before the woman, he still did feel like a pervert trailing after a small child. But the mothers smile was sincere and thus he smiled in response. He had nothing to hide after all.
"Hello there. Yes she did indeed invite me to her recital. Though by the sounds of it she invites many people to her recitals." He chuckeled feeling a bit weird. He..was an adult...and speaking with another adult. Usually he was so focused on the ones similar to him he paid little attention to the ones aruond them.

"No, you are actually the first to get an invitation so far, though I expect that the list will be growing very quickly as she only found out she could invite people this afternoon. If you want to come to the recital I can send you an invitation if you leave me your adress." She slipped a hand into her purse pulling out a black leather notebook as well as her business card, slipping the business card towards the young man, it wasn't fair after all to expect the boy to leave his adress with a complete stranger without at least giving him some return contact information. "And of course you can bring your signifigant other if you have one."

Adriel had been abit surprised by how...accepting the woman was. He relaxed more though we a bit surprised to have her handing him a business card.
"Ah well thank you. I ...will ask...if theywill be interested." He somehow doubted Duncan would care to go to a recital for a girl he never met.
"uh..." he looked around and rifeled through his pocket finding his grocery list he flipped it over and took a pencil from his other pocket and jotted down his own contact information as well his name and Duncan's. In case duncan answered the phone of course. He then handed it to her.

Ryvan accepted the note and slipped it into the notebook to be transfered into her adress book later. "I hope you can make it, Trinket seems to like you quite a bit.

Trinket smiled up at the two adults, Tiima reaching around to poke at Chii, not liking the lack of attention.

Chii immediately showed Tiima attention like a doting mother may. Fuu seemed more interested in Ryvan at the moment. Adriel was making sure Fuu wasn'tgoing to do anything foolish...
"Yes well I hope I can make it as well." He chimed as he was rather curious how a little girl could get so attatched to him. "I...know you just met...me..but if you ever need a baby sitter." He offered for some reason he wanted to get closer to the girl. Maybe because he felt a kinship with her being a lust baised spawn and all.

Ryvan looked thoughtful "Actually I may take you up on that, if you are serious." She knew that Trinket was a bit tired of following her mother around to her different shoots, and really it wasn't always practical to bring a small child along with you to some of the sessions she was booked for.

Trinket's eyes sparkled at the mention of Adriel possibly babysitting her, he seemed really nice and his tentacles were nice to Tiima and Sia! Tiima wiggled happily at the actions of the other tentacle while Sia seemed content to remain at Trinket's side playing with the lace edging of her dress.

Adriel nodded, "Yes very serious. I don't have a job at the moment so I have all the time in the world if you want me to baby sit. " he continued feeling very happy with this idea. He could earn a bit of money while doing it to he guessed though he dared not ask for it.
"If you don't mind my...'other' tends to work in the evenings so it would be just me and her." He continued after a moment.

"Well it would mostly be in the daytime, with some exceptions. At my house of course." She smiled at the young man, "we were just going to run home for a moment and get some food into Trinket before her lessons, would you like to come with us and we can figure out the details there?" She didn't necessarily want to discuss certain aspects of the arrangement in front of Trinket as it might be somewhat akward for the little girl to hear them negotiating payment for him to watch her.

Trinket had nearly forgotten about her lessons in her excitement of meeting a new friend, she had her english classes today and she was looking forward to finding out what book the teacher was going to have them read since the class had finished their last one a few days ago.

Adriel looked at his watch judging the time it was and how long it would take he frowned.
"I should be getting back, I have some things at home that need to be taken care of. But do you mind if I call you after dinner tonight? Say around 7?" he asked as he didn't want to assume she would be okay with him just darting off. But he was getting tired, as he had been as of late, and didn't want to appear to be sick. He was starving as well.

"Seven should be fine." Ryvan looked at her own watch "we should get going now though, I'll talk to you later tonight. Trinket say goodbye and then we can go get you ready for lessons."

Trinket looked up at Adriel "Bye! Thank you for talking to me and letting your tentacles play with mine!" She grinned and turned to follow her mother towards the door, Tiima remaining in contact with Chii as long as possible before letting go.

Adriel nodded his head smiling and petting her shoulder lightly in goodbye. Chii was not...thrilled that they had to part company with Tiima, but it gave an affectionate squeeze before finally letting go.
"Yes I will make sure to call by seven." He chimed feeling good for once with how this day had gone.

Trinket looked over her shoulder and waved as her and her mother left the store, she really hoped that she would get to see her new friend soon. But for now she was excited for her lessons, and after english class her mother always took her to get her toes done which was really fun too!

A change in plans.

"Do you understand?" Penny asked softly, her pale pink eyes watching her son carefully. It shouldn't be this awkward, telling Taylor that his his sister-twin was coming to live with them for a while. Of course Trinket had never lived with them and Taylor'd been limited to visits and what time he saw of her at school so the woman was unsure of how close a bond the opposite yet complementary pair still had. A situation like this had to be broached delicately and yet.. there wasn't really a lot of time for discussion about it either, she was going to pick the girl up in a few hours. The most Penny could really do at this point was prepare Taylor and hope he would be compassionate.

The pebbly skinned boy scratched at an arm and nodded solemnly " I understand, I'll be gentle with her and make sure she's happy." Taylor was older now than the girl was and that well.. that was interesting in and of itself. Though at the moment Penny just hoped it meant he was mature enough to be as supportive as his partially estranged sibling would need.

" Thank you" Penny smiled at him. " I'm certain having you around will at least make things easier for her." That was the hope anyways otherwise Ryvan would have left the girl in someone elses care or had nanny watch her long term until she could return. Family though was good in stressful times and that was what they were banking on. Noticing a strange gleam in Taylor's red and blue eyes Penny narrowed her own a bit " What are you thinking about?" She trusted Taylor but she always knew sometimes that when he got thoughtful strange things happened. He was often a prime example of good intentions leading straight to hell.

Taylor's long green bangs obscured his face for a moment when he jerked his head slightly but the boys brushed him out of the way and then grinned at Penny. "I was thinking, that there was this broken music box thing in that weird little store down on the corner, I bet you I could fix it and give it to her. "There was an eagerness and honesty that shone through in his voice. "becuase she has those dancing lessons and stuff."

Penny nibbled on her lower lip for a moment then nodded "That sounds reasonable." She dug into her pocket and pulled out a few bills " why don't you go get it while I go pick her up okay?" Maybe it would work and even if it remained broken it would still probably be a nice gift, something to show that Taylor cared and had been willing to try for her. For a moment Penny wished she'd had siblings of her own growing up, well provided they were as nice as Taylor. Whether she knew it or not Trinket was lucky.

A few minutes later Mother and son were on their way out the door each headed to specific destination to pick up something precious.

Thinking about you.

First position, feet planted and pointed away from each other, arms and tentacles spread at waist level with the tips touching and elbows out. second position, feet point forward, arms and tentacles extended out over the feet. This was Trinket's warm up, all the positions, with demi and grand plies as best she could manage. It got her muscles ready to work and helped the young girl prepare herself mentally for the task at hand. Her warm up was the same always so her mind could worry about the difficult steps that followed.

Though Ryvan was gone for now Trinket still attended the activities her mother had put her in including ballet. She had a very small part as a sugar plum fairy in her class' Christmas recital and though she could no longer have her mother come see it , well without a looot of luck, the purple skinned girl was still determined to do well and show how much she was learning. That meant lots of practice so she was perfect, becuase Penny said she would tape the recital and Trinket was sure that Ryvan, becuase she had to come back, would love it when she returned.

As the young girl finished her warm up and moved into the dance itself she wondered where Ryvan was right now, what she was doing? Were they both practicing for something important? Would her mother be on the catwalk with other models at the same time as she twirled about on stage with other ballerinas? Arms and tentacles became entwined as she raised and lowered them and Trinket smiled a little, even if Ryvan was gone she certainly hadn't been forgotten about and Trinket would work hard to be worth coming back too.

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:

Letter
Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following:

Guardians Name:
Child's Name:
Sin:
Virtue:
Gender:
Current Attitude:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars )
Current hair style:
Current clothing preferences:
Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue)

Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them?
As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs.

Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc.

Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up.

Thank you.

You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.

(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)

How the times change us

Months had passed since Trinket had left the home she had shared with her mother to live with her brother and his family. In that time she had aged, gotten stronger and smarter and gained control of Tiima and Sia. The lust spawn could feel herself growing up but it wasn't entirely as nice as she'd imagined. With this new flood of hormones came a small nagging ache of loneliness she'd never felt before even when she was surrounded by people. There were other things as well, times when she felt that her eyes were looking at people longer than before and she was seeing in them other things she'd not paid attention to in the past. Despite this slow ascent into puberty it was simple companionship and understanding the purple skinned girl craved the most.

Her new temporary was pleasant enough if she was honest though. Taylor took her places, provided they weren't dirty or weird, and bought her romantic themed comics. She thought her twin was odd at times but mostly nice and while she didn't favour them herself sometimes Trinket would make him Jelly sandwiches in return. Mostly though she liked the days when they just hung out on the couch relaxing after she'd been practicing and he'd been in garage. One of her tentacles would pet his pebbly skinned tail and they'd half fight over the remote and what was real tv. Maybe Trinket was weird but she liked these sort of peaceful moments best when life just happened without really doing anything.

Nickle wasn't very talkative but he was the most like her mother had been, always well put together and focused on the society. What bonding they did, and Trinket had to admit he did make an effort, was mostly over society things or the finer points of the injustices in the world. He helped her with homework when she didn't understand but he was never overbearing, letting her try and figure things out on her own first and guiding more than doing anything for her. Which was good becuase getting older had made trinket more independent and confident as well. She wasn't nearly grown up yet but she understood things better now and could fend for herself in the most basic of ways.

Penny was.. well she was Penny and Trinket hadn't quite figured her out yet expect that she was trying to be a mom to her without trying to replace her own mother. It was weird but Trinket understood was mostly just happy to have another girl around most of the time. Mareike not quite counting in that aspect given the way the other facility spawn was. Not that she hadn't welcomed her into the house as well but they didn't share many interests or time together.

No lazy summer here

Dear journal: Summer has come again but a lot has changed since I saw my last one. I'm older now and I live with Penny and Taylor instead of my mother; I haven't seen her in months and I can only hope she;s okay and that she misses me as much as i miss her. The summer sun is still warm on my dark skin though and I still love how the old world seems so alive and busy. I too will be busy soon with my very first summer job. I don't need the money and it's not like I'm underfoot but Penny says it's important anyways and I have no choice. At least she's letting me work it around my lessons so I don't miss any time on them.

I don't know yet what sort of Job I want yet, nothing too servile , like the fast food stuff, or how much I hope to make.
I do know I plan to look on the help wanted forums for the society's website though. I'd prefer to work for other members and it would help me make contacts and stuff which might be useful later. Mom always said it was who you knew that got you places. I just hope someone needs the skills I have.

I will update again when I have found a job.

Trinket.

Dear Journal:

I found an acceptable job working in a makeup booth. I do a lot of cleaning after appointments and organizing stock. I'm also learning how to apply it professionally though and Sasha says soon I can start doing free mini makeovers. Free to the customers and I don't get extra pay but if they do buy something I get credit towards stuff from the booth for myself which is nice.

Not much else to report, school has just started again and I find myself missing the summer already.

Holiday Hell

There was something absolutely insidious about the way Valentines was marketed to the the masses. Christmas and New Years were barely past before shops began advertising for the next holiday, the one that said you were nothing without someone else. Trinket resented that and resented the way love was seen as the only legit relationship. What if you just wanted to be with someone for the physical, what if you were incapable of committing or your partner was? Why was there a holiday for love celebrating a denial of love if any of the myths regarding this supposed ancient saint were to be believed. More importantly the the lust spawn wondered how a message of love had turned into the idea that you could only prove your love through expensive gifts. Taylor was her brother and they shared no romantic love but he showed affection by making her things more often than he did by simply buying them. Penny showed how much she cared by making time for her and Nickle.. okay Nickle tended to buy stuff but Trinket admitted the presents were at least thoughtful.

Trinket had many reasons to dislike and disregard the concept of valentines but she certainly couldn't avoid it. Her part time job at the makeup booth meant doing special Valentines day mini makeovers for dozens of clients who'd signed up for appoints in advance.

While Trinket was happy to make some money of her own in between doing homeworking and practicing she'd have preferred to not have to do it surrounded by people who'd be gushing about their relationships.
Too young to want anything permanent but old enough to understand desire and more importantly the desire to be wanted and cherished

Trinket found herself a bitter child looking in on an adult world she both envied and loathed.
