I've back-marched too much, my right calf hurts like a ********. I can hardly walk.
These are our stretches: Arms Behind the head, arms grab your toe at an angle, both feet (Seperately of course) grab your toe behind your back, stay balanced, both feet (sep.) 50 arm circles, front and back. 30 chicken dance, 10 push-ups if you talk (everyone does.)
Our band captains and DM are all skinny girls, and they can do these all day. Most of the band is medium-sized and pretty tall with a few "Holy s**t, you're fat" kids.

i march britone...and i weigh 98 pounds...i feel like im holding up half my body weight with my twig arms i can barley hold it up for 5 minutes...unless were at carry then whatever

You betcha. We've never twirled a whole show with entirely weighted poles, so it is taxing to hold the ending positions.
Out routine this year is written by our BD's wife, so while it is challenging to her it is super easy for us vets. neutral It makes me pretty sad because I live for mastering our shows.

ehh I'm sore but not as bad as it was my freshman year.. haha I tied ice packs to my arms legs and stomach. then yeah icy hot things and stuff that did shyst for me.
Everything is well but after we run our 2-3 miles I feel really good after the terrible stomach ache from our band director making us eat 20 minutes before we run.

my legs hurt because my bd had new marching styles for us. urgghhh.. and i got wonderful tan and got a sunburn on my cheeks it hurts when my bf or friends touch it !!

We're gonna be Pill Poppers when this ends...;P Anyways Last week I had Freshman band camp and I was sore all weekend... scream But pain killers work! I <3 pain killers. Today I just had my first REAL day of band camp and it was okay, I felt good after all the exercises. I play sax. <3 SFHS, !Chiefs! xp

I got over my pains the second day of band camp. The first day of 12 hours-a-day marching was something I wasn't used to. (I was new at this, for the record. I just joined marching band.) The harness got me on my shoulder blades, so it wasn't pleasant. After the second day, I got used to it. Now the harness doesn't feel so bad. (Forgot to mention: I'm on drumline. I play bass drum.)
Besides, the only thing that still hurts is my feet. I just need to get used to marching for so long.

By the end of band camp I was surprised that I was still standing. I have weak knees, and my right one was aching so much that my ankle swelled up due to me putting so much pressure on it instead of my knee! Also my back got really sore due to carrying a sousaphone around for hours a day. At least my shoulder wasn't burning with pain. =P However now that band camp is over I'm not that sore anymore, just my knee is giving me problems.

My first week of Band Camp is over, and now its time for the second week tomorrow. My whole freaking left leg hurts like a b***h, my calf hurts bad, and I limp when I walk. Thing is, I don't want to sit aside tomorrow, because I need to learn (I'm a Freshman) so I think I'll just suck it up. If it hurts reaaalllyyy bad, I'll just tell my BD I have to sit aside. Anyways, hopefully things work out by tomorrow. confused

i pulled my back out the 2nd week of band camp (which was like a month ago now lol) and i couldn't leave my bed for like 2 days. and couldn't go back to band for 2 weeks.
