ooo interesting topic!
well.. i have a decent amount of piercings so its always been hard for me to find jobs. my last job was a video store.. and i was suppose to take my facial piercings out... which at the time was 2 eyebrow rings... i did for the first 6 months i was there i did.. than i became a manager and so i worked alone a lot.. so i left them in.. lol.. bad kid...
than one day a customer was complimenting me to the store owner and described me as the girl with 2 eyebrow piercings.. so i got in a little trouble.. lol..
than i found a job @ a body jewelry stand.. sweet right? i do make good money to stand around and sell things i love.. but we are suppose to be a more "upscale" body jewelry stand.. catering to more adults... i dont know what the owner really wants.. but the rule is only 2 facial piercings.... razz which i have 3 at the moment. the owners hardly there since she just had a kid.. so i kinda don't follow that rule very well...
i'm going to school to be a hair stylist.. which the school tells me most salons don't mind piercings much. as long as they aren't excessive....
so i hope after i get my bridge and surface tragus' it wont be considered excessive...

I work at McDonalds, and they are quiet strict on how they want their employee's to look.
We are only allowed one set of lobe piercings. That is it.
I have 00g first lobes, then 2nd and 3rds too, and a helix. Plus my nose it done. But there are so many Indian ladies that work there, it's basically passed off, because they have it for cultural reasons.
Then there are two other girls that have stretched first lobes, then a few other ear piercings. One of those chicks has like 3 helix in one ear, and then an industrial in another ear. Plus two visible tattoo's.
I've only been questioned ONCE. I was being promoted to Manager, and the supervisor was talking to me and told me to try and conseal the other sets, and leave the first, or I have to get rid of them all together. I wore skin coloured and clear retainers for a good... month or two?
And then said screw it, if the other chick with 14 ear piercings isn't questioned about it, then they shouldn't do it to me. :3

I work in what amounts to data entry, so I don't deal with the public at all. (it's document imaging/digital archiving, really, which is a hell of a lot more boring than it might sound.) My bosses are pretty much really cool guys (my one boss' wife used to run a commune decades ago smile ) so almost anything goes. I hd my piercings in when I applied and got interviwed, and I've worn them every day since. With them, it's pretty much if I come to work and do my job and I'm not naked (or wearing my "******** you" shirt XD), I'm fine. They didn't even care when I came in with a multicoloured spiked up mohawk, back when I had one,except to ask how I got it to stay up.

I only have (ignoring my ears) two visable facial piercing, both on my lip. And I am certain that this is (partially) responsable for making it harder to find work. But I love them and don't think I should have to remove them as they are part of me!
But I am planing on returning to uni to do a radiology degree, while tranning they shouldnt be a problem but I'm not sure when it comes to a real job as it would be part of the NHS sad I'll just have to wait and see

I work at Laser Quest and it's pretty chill about piercings and tattoos. We actually spent like 10 minutes chatting about bodmods in my job interview.
I have the most mods out of everyone there, but almost everyone has like facial piercing or tattoo.
Only problem with them though I do work with a lot of young children who are often terrified of me.

I'm currently employed at Disneyworld, which I'm pretty sure has the strictest dress code policy in the world.
I'm trained as both a character performer and as a character attendant.
So I have a few tattoos and piercings and most are covered by any costumes wear, however one day I was told to remove my n****e rings because they didn't want them to show through any shirts. stare
I also work at a small theatre company where I aid in a dialects class and do some stage hand work, while working there I have complete freedom about what I wear and how I look. It's nice really.

So yeah.. i work at harkins and i'm applying for a second job at spencers. Harkins is okay but you can't have funky hair colors or bright piercings. if you got a nostril done in has to be a stud, doesnt have to be flesh coloured. and the they're okay with ears, but they do look down on gauges any bigger than a 4gg. as far as spencers go they told me this "closed toed shoes, and if wear a skirt put shorts on under or you'll be flashing people all day." lol so its chill there. wish me luck on my second job lol
