loren_aries I was asked for advice once and the mother got very angry.... xp I guess it was because her kid started arguing with me over which was a better game final fantasy 7 or some nhl.. he called me dumb for likeing rpg sissy games like that... scream so I told him I was sorry I did not have the IQ of a squirrel and would not lower myself to such barbarisms stressed which I didn't really mean it, hockey games really are not my thing though.. I would have said something along the lines of i rather play real hockey than a game. Gee that mother isnt' a good parent if she lets her kid get away with calling something sissy. He isn't going to get a girlfriend. "Oh the makeup you wear is just sissy!!"

A couple years ago, a friend of mine got an old GameBoy - one of the super-old ones without color. His poor dad probably got the thing at a garage sale... xd

Whenever my mother asks me what I want, I be extremely specific. I tell her the title, where to find it, and at times I tell her what it looks like.
I don't want my mother lost...she stopped in the incline of technology in 1995 or something... sweatdrop

Don't dis the legendary gaming system. Game boys are still the best. I got like 2 of them, and the only new handheld gaming system that I would buy after it was the DS lite. ninja They so were better the Segagenis(sp?) I played it once and thought it was neat but holy s**t did that sucker use up batteries. GB original Le Rulesz!

I told him I wanted a Wacom Bamboo Fun graphics tablet for Christmas, but I was so scared that he wouldn't get the right model that I just asked for the money instead. xd

I used to work at Game Stop and I got asked all the time. I think it was because I looked the least threatening out of all the workers.... eek

That's why I always ask my dads for the money, grab the car and drive myself to the store to buy it myself. My mom actually needs the name written down in a piece of paper. And on top of that, her English is so awful she sounds like she's speaking an alien tongue, and since videogame titles are all in English... well, you get the idea. confused
My dad is more videogame-wise though, since he used to play with his Atari 2600 when he was young. If I don't have the chance to buy myself the game, I would entrust him this task; he also agrees with me that videogames are serious business and not some sort of kiddy toy anymore, and he does respects my tastes.

Fortunately for me, both my parents play video games, though not to the extent that I do.

my parents are used to me being a tad obsessed with video games...we always end up in the electronic section every time we're in the city
