I haven't had that happen to me as much as I've had my alto saxophone bump into players close to me or just whacking it into something in general. o__o;;
XD And I have a Neotech neckstrap, I haven't changed it in the past 4 years, and it's STILL comfy.~

I definately recommend buying a Neotech. the hook snaps on, probably unlike the strap you have.
It also has gel material under it to pad your neck , causing it from hurting too much.
I have a Tenor and it hurts all the time when I take off my neckstrap. I have to get a neotech for myself... They're about 15.50 USD

omg, i dont even no what i have, but it does that ALL the TIME! it is so Frustraiting! like when the director says "ok, saxophones and blah blah blah at blah blah blah" when im not paying attention, so i miss the downbeat and ARG!
but the other sax has a neotech, and he is like in love with it just bcuz he hasent had that problem.

I never had the fear of my bari falling. Because my Neotech strap is awesome.
So use a Neotech! :]
