During band, almost 50% of the time, my baby (Alto Sax) "mysteriously comes off my neckstrap when it's on the right way and it annoys the heck ooutta me! >-< Do any other fellow Saxophone players have this problem?

Neotech? Mine has a clip. D: It comes off all the time! It's like my sax is pulling magic tricks all day long.

I only had that problem in my first year of playing the alto. (I was 11 just for the record) I had a hook attaching neckstrap back then.
But i've never had a problem with my current neckstrap. Is your clip damaged in any way? Like any bends?

Well neck straps can be a problem like that. The plastic clips hold but can take only just enough tension. The metal clips are cool but they tend to wear away the neckstrap hole quite a bit. I hate Neotech because well when you sweat the strap gets all nasty on your neck and then it doesnt feel good anymore. I just dont like neotech straps in general. That doesnt mean they are bad straps they have great flexability and are quite comfortable.

Yep..happened to me last year. Then i got a strap with an actual hook, which has never "mysteriously" dropped my sax. Works perfect! 3nodding

jsut try to keep some kind of tension on the sax to where the the neck strap is pulling on your neck a little bit and you should be ok

Not really, mine just creaks and squeaks. xd I really need a new one...it doesn't have padding or anything. I'm used to it, but I think in marching band it'll be paaaainful. xd

I have a similar problem occasionally.
Mainly because I'm one of those people who can't sit still.
You might want to make sure your neck strap is taunt. A slack one doesn't work as well.
Don't make it too tight though, it'll hit you in the face! (Believe me, the experience is PAINFUL if it hits your gums.)
