The fourth tree gave him a sleep look as Clatter approached. "Please tell me you're not putting your hand up my nose, that's rather disgusting, you know."
Clatter blinked in confusion. "Uh... no?"
The tree shook it's head. "So disgusting, you could at least let me clean up, you know. Why don't you take a walk around the hill, I should be ready by then."
Clatter shook his head but headed for the hill. He was halfway up when the hill began to flatten out. "Well, so much for that idea," he muttered in amusement. It quickly vanished when he turned around, only to find smooth ground where the tree had been. "What? Are you kidding me?"

The third tree that TheBoughman came across was...actually a stump. And it broke his heart. He went over to the tree stump, eyes welling with tears - God this dream had him a bit over emotional, didn't it? - and knelt down beside it. His hand went onto the stump and he pressed his forehead down to touch it.
"I am sorry you died," he mumbled miserably to the tree stump, trying to console it as much as he possibly could in its afterlife. "You were a good tree." Did he know the tree? No, but all trees were good trees. Even the one who had told him he was wrong.
He couldn't feel the tree at all anymore. How long it had been a stump was beyond him and so it was beyond any kind of soothing. But still, he stayed with it as long as he could before he left it with a gentle headbutt to search for that fourth one. Hopefully, it was alive and well.

Inferno looked, and looked, and looked to no avail. He'd even dropped to his hand and knees as he shuffled about the forest floor, hands spread out before him. He tilted his head back and cried, "my glasses, my glasses! I can't see without my glasses!" and promptly fell into a fit of laughter.
He thought he'd heard that line from from show before.
Either way, he returned to the tree empty handed. "Sorry," he said, disappointed. "I'll still keep an eye out for them but no luck here." He told the tree, who started to wail again. The hatter had run off, headed back to the talking post with the exclaimation point before the sobs could get to him.
"Five trees examined and checked," he declared proudly saluting the post.
It didn't have much else to say to him so he decided to do some exploring. Back into the woods he went.

BaseballReaper tumbled and looked around for anyone she recognized, mumbling to herself she looked towards the quest giver. "Well talking to trees seems a little queer but I'll do what ya say if it nets me a reward in the end." She smiled and ran along in the forest, getting used to having her rabbit ears bounce up and down in front of her face. The pocket watch that came with the outfit was definitely awesome, she looked at it to keep track of how long she was walking and in what direction so that hopefully she wouldn't get lost.

BaseballReaper walked up to a suspicious looking tree, she jumped back slightly as it spoke. She stood for a moment and thought of what a tree possibly could be hiding in an odd forest such as this. "Uhhhh are ya hiding my bat or my skates? That would be awful nice of ya to return them if ya are." The tree responded and she frowned. "Well whatcha hiding in your mouth tree person thing?" Just as soon as she spoke the tree stuck out its mouth and gave her a fragment. "Well this is interesting, I guess I will be on my way. Thank ya again tree thing." Tree: 1 Fragment: 1

3: You reach a tiny tree and it looks up at you and only has a row of smiling teeth. "Guess what I'm hiding!"
If you cater to it then it tells you "I'm hiding something in my mouth!" It sticks out its mouth and lo and behind it is a fragment! +1 Fragment.
If you don't guess the tree looks disappointed. "Oh, okay..." It does not give you a fragment.
9: You reach a tree with a lot of signs on it. The signs read "This, Way, To, Nowhere, And, Everywhere." They are in separate signs, and the "And" is a separate sign of its own. This is a very informative tree!
Getting lost was not going to be on his itinerary, Haymak3r was going to do what he could to stay alert.
Cue the tree that made him question EVERYTHING. "Well, that lasted all of five minutes." he sighed, letting the shoulders droop, it was a fine job done.
He was sure that smiling tree was cackling loudly somewhere, that wasn't on one of the signs that was not "nowhere and anywhere"

Stocky, tan and Grey eyed, HayMak3r dons the traditional Gryphon attire lined with silver. Wine colored hair that is tied with a sash in a rat tail, and locks that frame the face, the eyes are hardened and a perpetual scowl that rarely shows off sharpened teeth, and an unsavory attitude to match.
Clatter started to jog back towards the sign post when he spotted a root around a large boulder. Turning the corner, he blinked in surprise, finding a stump where he had been expecting a tree. He took a step towards the sign post, then paused for a moment.
"Eh, what the heck, might as well." Clatter chuckled as he sat down on the stump and stretched his legs out. Leaning back on his arms, he finally started taking notice of the other people around him, running around and inspecting the trees also.

After awhile of walking she came up to a tree which was covered in signs that pointed every which way. She carefully walked around the tree while deciding which direction to go. At least there were plenty of options so she decided to follow the direction of the sign that say "This Way".

The fourth tree was a beautiful willow tree - which only served to perk TheBoughman up just a little bit. He was still depressed from the tree stump but willows, while always a little weepy, were generally good company. "Hello!" he called cheerfully, trying to duck under the branches to converse and maybe see if it had known the other tree. They weren't too far apart, after all!
Instead of a greeting, all he received was an angry lashing of branches each time he tried to get close. "Hey! Hey! It is okay! I am a friend!" The tree only seemed to lash out harder, several branches cutting him with their ferocity. "Okay, okay, I get it. Maybe the stump was your friend. I am sorry for your loss! I will leave you to your weeping, willow."
Well, that was a bust. Time to try for five....

The final tree was another willow not too far from that one. He moved briefly toward it, but nope - NOPE - as soon as it started lashing out he was done. He was already slightly bleeding from the abuse of the last one.
Having met four trees - technically five - TheBoughman headed back to the sign to tell it of his completion like it had requested. Only to receive...a card? And LEVEL UP.
The DING noise he made startled him and he fell on his a**. Ooomf. Okay, then. That was a good thing....right?

LaDyOfGrEeD102 blinked as she entered the odd area. the trees were definitely interesting as the multitude of colors and eyes made each one seem just a little different than the last. The noise of the place on top of that had her wincing slightly as she walked through the weird woods. "What an odd and weird place.. still, I guess I should get working on this first quest.." She muttered to herself before readjusting the feathered cap on her avatar and continuing on. She had already spent some time making sure her avatar was perfect and rather liked the pirate style look to it, although she thought the eye-patch was a bit much really.

L.O.G. came up to a rather small tree with a cute row of smiling teeth. "Guess what I'm hiding!" it asks and she shakes her head slightly. "What are you hiding? a fragment or something little one?" she asks it amused at it's question. "I'm hiding something in my mouth!" it seems to exclaim before sticking out its mouth to reveal a fragment. Smirking she quickly grabs it and continues on her journey with a thanks.

2: The second tree is a wide tree and doesn't look too happy to see you. It crosses its arms. "I don't think so, the last people who were here were terribly mean about it. Terribly, terribly mean and it just won't do anymore. If you come any closer I will have to resort to violence I mean it! Don't come any closer!"
The stoic Gryphon just had to meet one more tree, he just wanted to hope the next tree was nice. It was a fool errand, he knew it and wanted to believe, that every step was leading to a great ending. It lead to dissapointment. Waving happily to another tree that he tried to greet and received a cold greeting, if he could call it that loosely. "But i just want to met you, no need for violence." he stated, putting his arms up in a sign of goodwill and meaning no harm, even so it all but chased him away.
Stranger danger was alive with this tree. "Jeeze, who pissed in your chlorophyll?"

L.O.G. smiled as she pocketed the fragment from the last tree and looked around for another to talk with. She giggled then as she spotted this long slender tree that looked rather plain compared to the rest in the woods here. After it greets her it asks her an odd question. "I have a small question. I have two friends, Dilly, Milly, and Nilly. Nilly is taller than Dilly, but shorter than me. Dilly is shorter than Milly but taller than me. How tall am I?" When she answered that she could not answer due to the fact that only two are his friends not all three it seems to gloat. "Why, I didn't think you would. It proves I am the better tree." She shakes her head and continues on. "Funny, last I checked I was not a tree at all..."
