There was a few things in his life that he could count on but this certainly wasn't one of them. He'd decided on the name MistahDarcy and for whatever reason he wanted to be a caterpillar. Probably having to do with the desire to cocoon himself away from everyone and everything.
Or he just liked the idea of being a defensive class.
As he got his quest from the sign post he stared over at Hentai.Kitten -staring mostly at her name then at her, "...Really?"

Oof. Anthe landed on her derriere as she fell into the game world. You'd think they'd decide to put softer landings into this game. But I guess its to prepare everyone for whats to come in Alice, she guessed. She looked around the game world. Its bright colors screamed out at her and its mystical curving shapes awed her. Oh, this was going to be FUN, she thought with glee. The first time in a while in fact. Time to escape the real world.
Name, she thought, name. What could she be called? Something ironic, something that suited her… well why not go with her biggest feature? Wings. Got it. Flying……Flying what? Anthe decided to input her name as Flyin'High. Ironic seeing as she couldn't fly AT ALL because of her wings.But no matter. Time to choose a class.
Hmm… she had been looking at classes all day but she still had yet to make up her mind. She had decided against gryphon and rabbit because she wasn't that much of a fighter and she was DEFINITELY not swift in her wings. She didn't really want to have to heal people either. Maybe a caterpillar? That was it she decided. Caterpillar it is.
She turned to the first gin post, marking a quest. Flyin'High was ready to level up, she hated being able to be killed so easily in games… Exploration. She could do that. She would have done it anyways, why not get some experience doing it? She turned around to start looking at the trees around her.

iPink had never considered herself a huge gaming person, although she enjoyed playing video game due to some influences in her life. Still, an object with an exclamation mark floating over it seemed important, and she decided to make a beeline for it. Once she was within reach, a mouth appeared on the signpost, and started giving some instructions; she was pretty familiar with the term 'level up', and she knew how games usually got tougher later down the road... So this signpost was giving pretty good advice.
A short distance away from the signpost, she heard sobbing coming from a broken tree; although she initially thought that someone was sobbing behind it, she quickly realized that the sobbing was coming from the tree. She didn't have the heart to leave the tree alone since it seemed so very sad, and decided to stay to help.
Who knew that trees needed glasses too?

Surveying the trees surrounding her, Mercurial walked up to the closest one that didn't look like it would try to fend off visitors. She was mistaken, as it turned out. This tree simply chose to repel its visitors without resorting to violence.
"Oh, please, you're not putting your hand in my nose are you?" the sleepy-eyed tree said. She shook her head, horrified, as it went on. "That's so very disgusting, and I'm afraid I haven't cleaned up yet. Very disgusting indeed. Come back again when I'm clean."
She moved a few steps away. When she glanced back after an appropriate interval, the tree had vanished altogether, leaving her alone to her bewilderment. No sense in hanging around, then.
Just what was all this? HayMak3r felt sore all over, including his eyeballs from the strange scenery around him. Trees with sunken pits that almost made them more person than plant. While he was sure that these oddities were not uncommon and unusual, a part of him was still perplexed by what he saw, and glad to note that he was not the only one feeling this way.
It meant that there were others who were confused, like him. That was enough to keep him going, while signposts asked him to get the know the area. "Sure magic signpost, tel me what i need to do."
he didn't expect to really do that, but he got what he asked for. "Fine, ill make friends with mother nature."

Stocky, tan and Grey eyed, HayMak3r dons the traditional Gryphon attire lined with silver. Wine colored hair that is tied with a sash in a rat tail, and locks that frame the face, the eyes are hardened and a perpetual scowl that rarely shows off sharpened teeth, and an unsavory attitude to match.
"I could say the same for you," She replied, looking at the signpost as it gave her a quest. Once the signpost was done speaking, she turned to MistahDarcy and, with the back of one hand on her forehead, and a hand over her chest, exclaimed in a tone that was clearly mocking, "OOOOooooooooooooh MISTAH DARCY, OOOOOoooooh."
She paused briefly, chuckling as she straightened up, and gave him a few pats on his armor.

6: You reach a long, slender tree and it looks quite ordinary. "Hello," says the long slender tree. "I have a small question. I have two friends, Dilly, Milly, and Nilly. Nilly is taller than Dilly, but shorter than me. Dilly is shorter than Milly but taller than me. How tall am I?"
If you answer as truthfully as you can the tree says "No, why, I do not think that's the answer at all. You are very wrong."
If you tell them you do not know the tree gloats. "Why, I didn't think you would. It proves I am the better tree." But you are not a tree at all!
As he approached this tree and was asked a 'small' question, KittenMittens furrowed his brow and after a long moment of thinking he finally gave a shrug.
"Can't say that I have any idea exactly how tall you are."
And with the response, he smirked a bit and retorted. "Yeah? Well, at least I know that three is not two and two is not three."
At least he didn't have to talk to any more trees... For the moment, anyway. The talking sign might not be satisfied yet.

"It's okay. You're just jealous that my name is better," he retorted at her. Yes. This was clearly it.
He would just have to be awesome on his own. Sadness. MistahDarcy quietly tugged at his cloak and glanced over at the one that had teased him, "Yes. Quest time it is."
And to start things off with a bang? He found himself a stump and just sort of sat down for a moment.

Having had such great times with long trees today, Mercurial headed toward a small tree this time. The teeth were unsettling, sure, but the smile was the friendliest she'd seen in this neck of the woods. As she paused, indecisive, the tree spoke: "Guess what I'm hiding!"
Better not be a vendetta -- or appetite -- for Mad Hatters. "A wonderful treasure," she told the tree, all wishful thinking.
"I'm hiding something in my mouth!" the tree replied. Reflexively, she tensed to run for it, but her wishful thinking came true after all. She accepted the fragment with grinning thanks and a tip of her hat before returning to the signpost, quest completed on a high note.

"Jealous? Yeah, sure. If that makes you feel any better," She retorted, waving a hand dismissively, "Doesn't change the fact that you got a lame name though."
When she tried to approach one of the trees, it screamed at her. Of course, since she was the fearless Hentai.Kitten, she ignored its warnings... And she might had gotten birch slapped by a tree.
Reeling back from the damage, she stared at the tree for a few seconds, one hand over her bruised cheek, "Seriously?!"

The idiom "If a tree falls and no one hears it, does it make a sound?" popped into the gryphon's head and the answer was unanimous. Yes, it does.
And at all other times as well. The woods was alive with the sounds of an open discussion, voices overlapping each other into a jumble of sounds and screeches as he walked over to the very first Tree he could find.
And it was the crybaby of trees it might as well have been a weeping willow as much as he was concerned on the matter. Sad tree was sad and wanted glasses.
were they made of wood? It was too forward of a question to ask, going along with better judgement, the man bit his tongue and went along his search for the item.

MistahDarcy snorted, "More like a really awesome name," he just waved at her as if to dismiss her insult entirely. It was just one of those things. Sticks and stones.
He slowly got to his feet and started to look around again only to be confronted by a tree that was concerned about boogers. MistahDarcy made a face and left for a moment but upon returning, the tree appeared to be gone, "...What bullshi--,"
The Caterpillar glanced over at his... 'companion', "You alright there, 'Tai?"
He gave her a better name. You're welcome.
