Getting a little hungry, Chansey started searching around for food. There weren't a lot of places, but there were still stands spaced out around the main entrance offering food and beverages, for people and pokemon. She poked her head up to peer over a stand, glancing between the attendee and a few customers they were addressing. She didn't exactly have any money with her.... With a few quick movements, she stealthily nabbed something and darted off. She wasn't exactly a slim, shadowy, or subtle pokemon, but evidently no one really expected a Chansey to be stealing food. So, much to her surprise, she didn't get any heat for it. And with that, she was back to playing games.

.... One token? ONE. TOKEN!?! Chansey flopped onto the ground, Dustox fluttering up just long enough for her to land, before fluttering back down onto her back, briefly giving her wings. The shiny egg pokemon flailed her little fists a bit, then fell still. How. HOW, could they be doing this badly. Yeah sure, they'd accumulated some tokens, but... each game they weren't doing so great. She sighed, pushing herself up and brushing herself up, ignoring the stares of concerned and perturbed passerbyers. Maybe they ought to change tactics or something...

Chansey looked around, trying to see if she could find anything to spark new ideas to mind. She blinked, though, as she noticed a pearl colored milotic with purple highlighting a little ways off, playing a few of the games with a small bag near him. First of all... It was odd to see such a pokemon out of the water, let alone on land, let alone playing games. And by itself, with a bag of what appeared to be tokens? She blinked, looking at him curiously, then perking up in surprise. Say... hey! He actually seemed to be doing pretty good!

Waddling on over, Chansey watched curiously as the pokemon managed to shatter a few of the plates in the game it was playing. "Well howdy there, handsome!" she greeted, placing her hands on her hips. The Milotic tilted his head, looking at her and giving a pleasant smile as he collected his coins, letting them falling into his bag, and wrapping his tail around it. "Hello madam," he returned, picking up the bag. She blinked a bit. Ohhhh, 'madam'! How fancy! Wasn't he a gentleman. "Can I help you with something?" he questioned. She gestured towards the game. "I was just wonderin' if you could show me how you do that," she asked, moving to follow as he turned and began gliding his way to another game. "Hm? Do what?" he returned airily, and she smiled, picking up her pace a bit. This boy sure was aloof, wasn't he!

Though the train ride was rather lengthy Apollo managed to pass the time by getting to know Leon better, learning that he was from Olivine City and, understandably, was going through the Johto region's gym leaders. He offered the same information as well, throwing in fact that he was something of a traveling musician, gesturing towards the saxophone case by his feet as example. Finally they reached the fair grounds and Apollo returned to his feet, following Leon and his pokemon outside, his own tumbling out after him. "Hm?" the male raised an eyebrow curiously when asked if he had two Eeeve. "No, just Pearl," he explained, his eyes falling onto the Eevee-- and the one next to her. "Huh." Well... that explained why Leon had asked the question, now to figure out just where this little doppelgänger had come from.
Before he could begin questioning the pokemon, however, a pokeball on his hip shook and out popped Sylvia, her expression rather bored. "Hey Sylvia. Come to join in on the festivities?" he addressed his starter, surprised that she'd come out on her own-- he wasn't planning on battling any time soon. The Servine didn't respond and instead turned her gaze away from her trainer, body erupting in a bright light a moment later. Several seconds later and the light had died away, revealing a fully evolved Serperior who now towered over Apollo, and seemed more than pleased with this. "Seeeeeer." Wait... what.. what had just happened?

Vince nodded lightly as Olivia offered to give him a few places of interest. "I would appreciate that. Perhaps we could even venture there after the fair?" He suggested. Vince knew his lower level pokemon would need a bit more training, and since he wouldn't be doing that at the fair, perhaps he could train and travel around Hoenn with Olivia before facing Grant. After things were settled with Blueberry for today, Olivia returned him to his pokeball and they made their way off to the train station where they were able to buy a ticket to Anville Town and shove off towards the fairground. Huang Chen hopped onto a seat next to Cayenne, holding onto her feet and waving them back and forth happily. "Yeah, Lin and I have been getting along pretty well so far. I like her a lot, but she also seems to side with Vince a lot too.... I mean she'll probably help me, yeah, but I bet she'll tell me that Vince is right and I need to be patient...." Huang Chen grumbled, but at least she had Cayenne on her side.
Before long, the train pulled into the station, and Vince stepped off, taking a look around. They were in Anville now, but the fair was supposed to be just outside of it, and it was pretty easy to see from a distance, or rather, hear. A short walk later, and they had made their way through to the main gates, where just inside appeared to be several stalls of games, market wares, and prize booths. There were even a few stalls that were selling costumes for the fair, which Vince pointed out to Olivia. "I think if you want to dress up, that's the place to go." He suggested. "Why don't you go take a look? I'll stay nearby and just look at some of the other booths." Vince did want to see what prizes were available from playing games, and if it was worth trying to earn the tokens. First, he was stopped by a ball crafter's booth and got a new firestone designed pokeball for Huang Chen's ball, swapping the two out. Then, he took a look at the different games that were available and what the potential token output for these games were, and then compared it to the prices of the prize booth. He half expected just little knick knacks and giant plushes, but there were actually some valuable items on display as well, like megastones, TMs, mushrooms, and dragon tomes, which caught Vince's interest almost immediately.
He looked to Huang Chen with a discerning eye. "Alright, since you've abused the power I've given you and disobeyed me, you're going to earn those items back, and then some, by playing the games around the fair and getting tokens to buy these items with." Vince suggested, and Huang Chen tilted her head in confusion. This didn't really seem like a punishment really, she was being told to go off and play games. "From these prices, a big mushroom and two heart scales amount to 100 tokens. If you reach that amount, you will continue earning more until I come to fetch you. Depending on how diligent you are and how many tokens you end up earning, I may decide to withdraw your restriction." Huang Chen brightened at the prospect. This was too easy! She got to play games and get off of her battle restrictions at the same time? Pft. Some punishment. Well, she wasn't going to complain. Vince tapped Lin Hua's pokeball, releasing the sceptile as well. "Lin will accompany you, and make sure you don't cause any more trouble, as well as assist in gathering tokens, but you will keep your earnings separate, that way I know how much you have earned on your own." He nodded sending the two off before turning his attention to a lottery booth. He didn't like to gamble, but the prizes seemed nice, and he did happen to have Viola's Infestation TM on him, which, while he'd appreciated, he didn't want or need it, so he turned it over in return for two lottery tickets, which he placed in a drawing for some pokeballs and TMs.

Huang Chen kept up a good pace, testing out a few of the games and gathering just a few less than what Lin had been able to gather. Honestly the charmander was just happy that she was keeping up with Lin's stack. She would be a lot happier if she could surpass Vince's partner, but Lin wasn't making it easy. They encountered another different kind of game, where you were supposed to dunk your head in a tub of water and pick berries out with only your mouth. Huang Chen was mortified. There was no way she was sticking her head into water! Though, that just meant there was one less game to play, and less variety for this tedious task. Huang Chen was dreading having to play the same games over and over, but she wasn't that desperate for variety just yet, so she let Lin handle that game while she went off to another nearby, this one being a betting board for some kind of race. You were supposed to pick which rapidash you thought would win, which seemed simple enough. Huang Chen liked the colors of one of the fire types, so she pointed to that one and awaited the results. Her chosen rapidash had placed third this time around, but it only netted her three tokens. Huang Chen groaned. This was going to be a long day....
