"Speed isnt everything Bugsy let me show you" Gio said as Lucario saw him point towards the Kakuna "Lucario use Blaze Kick" Lucario charged forward attempting to zig zag to confuse the bug type pokemon. He jumped up and in mid air his leg seemed to catch fire as he came crashing down the kick landing on the bug.

Take a rest!" he said, returning the pokemon, "Come on out, Scyther! This guy's a tough one!" Tossing the pokeball out, he released his strongest pokemon, placing his hands on his hips. The Scyther gave a deep glare at Lucario and Gio could tell that it had taken its effects. Giovanni's strategy for this battle was to over power Bugsy's bugs before they lowered his Pokemons stats to nothing. "Flying and bug type leave Scyther with multiple type weaknesses Bugsy. One of them being Electric attacks. Your going to need to do more than lower my Pokemons stats if you want to get around our Steel nerves. Lucario use Thunderpunch"
Lucario shook his head for a minute as he tried to wave off the Leer. It effected him for sure but there was a battle still going on so he had to try to focus. He charged at the Scyther and his fist lit up with lightning as it made contact with the flying bug type pokemon. It wasn't strong enough to paralyze Scyther but it did do a significant amount of damage.

October was out of breath when she made it into town. They had to be around here right? It look like the last bit of sunlight was going down. Smiling she released River once again. The little Riolu shook her fur and reached up to be picked up. "Look River it's not so dark anymore" October picked her up and smiled. "Lets go find everyone" Kiru nodded. First stop the pokemon center. The walk was nice and even River seem to relax in her arms, sometimes looking around curiously. Kiru kept chatting with the Riolu too, probably about the battle. She still couldn't believe she got her first badge. A hissing sound had her freeze. There slithering by, was an Ekans. She screamed and found she couldn't run. She felt glued the floor, she could hear Kiru trying to get her attention and feel River claws digging into her skin.

Oh yeah I know xD Poison is null, and bug is .25. Sadly, normal is the best Bugsy's got! Edit: Spec pointed out your Lucario was holding it's megastone, which I didn't notice! x3 That multiplies damage, so I edited accordingly : )

Bugsy deadpanned a bit, but then smiled with a slight sweatdrop. "I-I'm aware of that, thank you..." he replied. Scyther was his pokemon, after all. He knew what it's weaknesses were. He also knew what it's strengths were, which, unfortunately, didn't apply much here. But at least he knew better than to use his bug attacks-- those were even less effective against a pokemon like Lucario than the normal ones. Unfortunately, the Lucario packed a lot of power to its punch, and Scyther was KO-ed, forcing Bugsy to send out his final pokemon. "Metapod, use tackle!" he instructed, frowning, well aware that this would probably be the end.

✦ ✦Thoughts shot through Aiden’s mind at a million miles per hour, all of this new information was just so boggling… Just trying to get it all sorted out in the current state of ******** that his mind was in was enough to give him a headache. As he opened his mouth after a moment of hesitation to answer Natalia’s question, he could tell from the look in her eyes that she already knew before he even said anything. Maybe it would have been for the best that he should have run away like he had supposed to, and yet here he was once again. He had honestly expected Natalia to be far angrier with him, though from the sounds of it, she seemed to have come to reluctantly accept the fact that he wouldn’t be going anywhere no matter what. The tension in the atmosphere was so thick it could be cut with a knife, and Aiden was rather thankful for the change in subject Natalia offered. It was getting pretty late, and dinner sounded really good right about now, as did a bit of training before he actually went in to take on Bugsy. Although… Jet had mentioned there being a Void hideout stationed in Ilex Forest. Maybe it would be a good idea to go and scope it out a bit, see what exactly those bastards were up to and why they were there of all places. Nevertheless, he gladly agreed to Natalia’s suggestion, the two of them and their Pokemon heading back towards Azalea to the Pokemon Center. Aria insisted that she take a look at the girl’s hand when they got there, however, remembering that she had gotten bitten a bit badly by that odd little green puppy Pokemon. It seemed as though Natalia forgot that the wound was even there until the Delphox mentioned it, quietly agreeing with the idea of getting it patched up. Kaizer walked alongside them, feeling Calliope settle back on his shoulders and starting up her happy humming routine once again. The Salamence grit his teeth a little, while the humming hadn’t been that bad at first, listening to it continuously was starting to really grate on his nerves. He took a deep breath, trying his best to keep his composure otherwise, but his tolerance was waning rapidly and it likely wouldn’t be long until he couldn’t take anymore. Aiden, on the other hand, asked Natalia how her leg was doing as he looked her over with a concerned expression. He remembered he had the painkillers from Nurse Joy, and she had told him to make sure that the girl took them at least twice daily as needed. At Natalia’s response that it was getting better although it was throbbing a bit still, Aiden pursed his lips at that. Having a fairly good idea of how easily Natalia was able to lie, he wasn’t completely convinced that she was feeling as fine as she said she was. But he didn’t push the matter any further, nodding slowly in return. ” Alright… But if it gets really painful for any reason, please let me know. I have the painkillers on me just in case,” he said simply, withdrawing his hand from the pocket of his coat where he had placed the pill bottle. Maybe he was crazy, that he was sticking around with her after witnessing everything that he had just minutes before. He knew that she had some kind of affiliation with Void, he had seen her in action, he had seen everything and he almost wished he hadn’t. Why he was still sticking around, he couldn’t be quite certain… but even if she wasn’t actually Fey Marquee, it just wouldn’t feel right to leave her behind after everything they had gone through… Maybe it was true that he was too nice for his own good, it certainly wouldn’t be the first time he had told himself that or had been told by anyone else. Natalia spoke up again, pulling Aiden from his thoughts as he gave her an inquisitive look when she spoke his name. Her voice trailed off slightly, as if she was trying to figure out exactly what she wanted to say, though the blonde-haired boy’s gaze never left her as he patiently waited for her to voice what was on her mind. However, as she began to ask him a question, sudden shouting coming from near the Pokemon Center drew both of their attention. Aiden quickly followed after Natalia as she took off running, wondering what exactly was going on at this hour to make such a commotion. As they got closer to the Center, the source of the noise turned out to be a group of Pokemon Rangers that were handling a rather aggressive Absol, who snapped at their legs and was trying its best to break free from them. Natalia called out to them as the two trainers approached, arguing with the rangers despite their attempts to ward her off from the dangerous Pokemon they had under restraint. Aiden, on the other hand, was eyeing the Absol cautiously, getting a sudden sense that he had seen this beast before… Though it didn’t look anything like he recalled before, the Absol looked gaunt and thin, as if it hadn’t been fed properly in months, and appeared to have sustained several wounds. And yet… he knew that he had encountered this very Absol before… back when… When that assassin had completely obliterated his old Pokemon team, he remembered… She had an Absol with her, one that was extremely aggressive and strong… That Absol had been the one that had dealt the most damage to his Pokemon, and was likely the same one that she had ordered to finish off Aiden himself until Daguerro had intervened and taken the killing blow meant for him…. ” No… It… it can’t be…” he thought grimly, keeping an apprehensive distance from the Absol while Natalia managed to get it to calm down. What was it doing here of all places? Why had the rangers brought it here with them? Thalia, sensing the wild and unstable aura radiating from the Absol, yipped softly in fear and moved to hide behind Aiden. The Sylveon had the sense that the Dark-type was bad news if her instincts had anything to say on the matter, and knew better than to attempt to get close to it. Although… the beast didn’t appear to have the sheer strength and power that he remembered it having, it practically collapsed once the rangers had been convinced enough to release it, and was quickly caught by Natalia. Aiden relaxed slightly once the Dark-type disappeared into the Pokeball, Natalia insisting that she would take the Absol to Nurse Joy and that the rangers should leave here before she was done. The blonde-haired boy watched as the rangers grouped together, preparing to head out, but his attention was soon drawn elsewhere when he could’ve sworn he’d heard a scream in the near distance. It sounded like someone was in trouble, and they weren’t too far away from here… Aria had heard it too, the Delphox’s eyes widening as she sensed a familiar set of thought patterns coming from nearby.” October!”she said quietly to herself, turning around to face Natalia and Aiden,” You two go on into the Center and get your Pokemon taken care of, I’ll catch up in a bit!”Before anyone could say anything else, the Delphox pivoted on her paws and took off in the direction where she had sensed October’s thought patterns. From what she could tell, the girl seemed to be rather frightened and unsure of what to do, and Aria wasn’t about to let anything happen to the girl while she was able to do something about it.” October? October, can you hear me, sweetie?”the Delphox called out to the girl using her telepathic connection, paws thumping rapidly as she ran,” What’s going on? Don’t worry, I’m on my way! Just try to stay calm if you can until I get to you, I’ll be there as soon as possible!”She hoped that the girl wasn’t in any kind of serious danger, especially now that she knew that Team Void was lurking around the area and were bad news for anyone who encountered them… She could sense the girl’s panic and fear, and hoped that she wouldn’t do anything rash or put herself in harm’s way before the Delphox could get to her.✦ ✦

The Lucario made another lunge towards the Bug Gym Leaders Pokemon this time with his other fist. The same as before, right before impact the fist started to glow. Only this time a bright purple and landing with utter accuracy. The Mega Pokemon came to a skidding halt waiting to see if there would be any more Pokemon. At this point Lucario was on a battle high and wanted to keep going. He would take what he had though if this was it.

She captured the Absol once she had convinced it to calm down, scolding the rangers lightly for the pokemon's treatment, and turned back to Aiden. "Honestly.... And they call themselves pokemon rangers...." She muttered heatedly, though she supposed she shouldn't be too angry with them. Most of her outrage was with Void, being the likely culprits of Ezio's malnutrition, but she wasn't all that happy with the Rangers were handling Ezio either. Dangerous or not, no pokemon deserved to be treated that way.
Then again, that sort of thinking made her a bit of a hypocrite. She had cared deeply for pokemon when she was a child, and then she only cared for her own pokemon when she was with Void, even then she didn't care for them very well, being the apathetic black hole that she was. She'd ruthlessly killed people and pokemon when ordered to just to protect her own sanity, only now she was finding that instead of protecting it, she was destroying it, bit by bit. Natalia was brought out of her muddled thoughts as she heard a scream in the distance, her body stiff and alert. Aria insisted that they go take care of their pokemon, and hat she would catch up later. As much as Natalia wanted to come with her, instead Natalia sent Nyomii out of her pokeball. The Espeon sat quietly, a rather passive but intense stare boring into Natalia's eyes. "Follow Aria and make sure everything's alright. Let me know if you need backup." Natalia stated shortly, knowing the Espeon was still probably angry with her, or at least frustrated, but Natalia pretended not to notice. She figured if something serious was happening, she and Aiden would be alerted. Nyomii quickly turned tail and hurried to catch up with the Delphox, picking up on October's location and emotional state as she took Aria's side. "I'm coming too! Help is coming!" She added, partially for October and partially for Aria as well.
Natalia silently hoped Team Void wasn't causing more trouble in the area, but if worse came to worse, Nyomii and Aria would alert them surely.... Right? Shaking her head, Natalia continued into the pokemon center with Aiden and held out Ezio's pokeball to the nurse, since he was the only one at the moment who needed healing. "Please help him, he's pretty badly hurt and malnourished. I don't know who or what did this to him...." Natalia frowned. Nurse joy nodded, placing the pokeball on her scanner to run diagnostics, and then gasped in horror. "Th-this is...! Oh my.... You're quite right, this pokemon is very badly injured.... In a variety of ways....I-I'll send him to immediate care." A Blissey came to retrieve the pokeball and took it away to another room while Natalia closed her eyes and took quiet, deep breaths to try and keep calm. It was Void, she had no doubt. This was how they worked, if you disobeyed, they broke you in every way they could think of until you submitted. People, pokemon, it didn't matter, they were all treated the same way. Ezio was aggressive, wild, some would say insane, and they would be right, Natalia was almost afraid to heal him back up to full health for fear that he might try to attack her, since she had changed so much since they were last together. Or worse.... He might try to attack Aiden.... However, there was a sort of kinship between her and Ezio that Natalia couldn't deny. She was half crazed herself, and though she continually fought it while he had long since succumbed, she felt pity for him, and figured, if somehow she could tame his demons, maybe... Just maybe, she could tame her own.
She stepped aside to let Aiden hand over Dag, turning her attention to Thalia, who'd seemed pretty nervous and upset from all the events lately. She picked the Sylveon up in her arms and gave her a light hug, stroking the fur on her back gently to try and comfort her. She wanted to say something to Aiden, anything... It felt so strange now, to just be so quiet with him now. This was what she'd been afraid of, this uncertainty, this awkwardness. She wished things could go back to the way they were, but she supposed maybe it was better this way. She was no longer living in the delusion of normalcy, facing it now was better than having to face it later. She wouldn't talk here though, the cafeteria was more private, and they did really need to eat something before setting out to Ilex forest for who knew how long.

Giovanni's smirk turned into abit of a frown as Bugsy insulted him. "Im just trying to show you what my Pokemon is capable of. If I wanted to finish this Id just throw another Blaze kick your way." Gio said with a voice of confidence. "but if your so ready for this battle to be over then I guess nows better than know time. Besides bugs are boring. Lucario use Blaze Kick again"
The Lucario was primed and ready. He was already half way finished with the move by the time his trainer finished the order. A flaming kick came crashing down upon the bug type just like it had the previous one. He knew this was enough to finish the battle so he waited for his trainer. "No hard feelings" Gio said with a smile "Sometimes battling gets me in trouble but then again. They dont call me Olivine's trouble maker for nothing"

Ocober Sparks
Screaming was probably the worst thing Octoner could have done. All it did was scare the snake pokemon. The Ekans was now coiled up hissing while Kiru was in front of his trainer cheeks sparking. "pika pika!" (( please go away!)) He had tried shouting at October to run away but she was now curled in on herself with a terrifired River. Luckily he had managed to get River to calm down enough asking her to help snap October out of it. The Ekans looked like it was ready to strike. So Kiru ran to it's left and shocked it causing the poison type to strike, however Kiru managed to move out of the way. "K-kiru, October's not moving...she'..I'm scared" The Riolu tried pushing against October but the girl was breathing heavily and shaking and eventhough her eyes were open she wasn't focused on anything. "Just keep trying. It's ok lil sis, I'll protect you" Kiru knew his trainer was scared, he was pretty proud she hadn't passed out yet but this Ekans was much too close for his liking and it seem to be getting smarter to his plan of keeping it's attention. October barely hear the familiar voice. "I can't..it's going to get me..I'mscared"

✦ ✦Aiden caught Natalia’s nodded response to his statement regarding her leg, that if whatever pain that may still be lingering became too much to let him know. Nurse Joy had given him the painkillers for such a reason, after all… Afterwards, a deep silence settled over them as they walked to the Pokemon Center. The atmosphere felt so tense and awkward… Aiden wasn’t even certain if he should say anything or not, or what he could even say for that matter. Maybe he should have just run away like he was supposed to… the harsh reality that was digging its gnarled claws further into him was nagging at his brain that it seemed only trying to tune it out made it further impossible to ignore. For a moment, the ice was shattered as Natalia started to ask him a question, but was cut off by a sudden commotion coming from the direction of the Pokemon Center. Upon approaching it at a rapid pace, the source of the ruckus turned out to be a band of Pokemon rangers that were in the midst of handling a rather vicious and aggressive Absol. While Natalia chastised the rangers for the Pokemon’s treatment and helped to calm the Absol down, Aiden kept an apprehensive distance from the Dark-type. That Absol… he remembered, it had been the same one that had caused the most damage to his former Pokemon team when they had been slaughtered… Arceus, it felt as though no matter how hard he tried to bury those wretched memories in the deepest fathoms of his subconscious, they somehow managed to always claw their way back to the surface. And yet… as panicked as Aiden felt about the presence of the beast whom had nearly killed him, somehow he almost couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy as he noted the state the Absol was in. The beast was noticeably gaunt; its ribs could be clearly seen through its fur, as if it hadn’t had a decent meal to eat for a good long while. Compared to the wicked, wild creature he remembered from long ago, the Absol looked absolutely exhausted and worn down… It had clearly been through one hell of an ordeal, and the sight of its state made Aiden’s blood start to boil. His attention was brought back to the matter when he heard Thalia’s fearful yelp at the sight of the Absol, and he smiled, turning and bending down to gently scratch the Fairy-type behind her ears. ” It’s okay, Thalia… Nothing bad is going to happen to you, I promise,” he said with a nod, casting a glance back to the Absol just before Natalia captured it. It seemed harmless enough now in its current state… but if Natalia was planning on healing it at the Pokemon Center, there was no telling what would happen then… What if the Absol tried to attack him, or his Pokemon? Flashes of the broken, bloodied corpses of his former Pokemon team sparked through his mind, and he grimaced inwardly at the sudden surge of memories. No… he couldn’t have something like that happen, never again… He had already lost his family, his friends, his home… what more could Fate possibly want from him before it was finished playing its twisted little game? Sensing her trainer’s distress, Thalia gave him a concerned look, gently wrapping one of her ribbon-like feelers around his arm.” Aiden…”she said softly, unsure of what to do to be of any help to him. The calming pulses of aura radiating from her feelers did help to ease Aiden’s fears and panic, but it was only able to do so much. Even though the Sylveon’s power aided as far as emotions were concerned, it couldn’t do anything about physical or mental trauma. Aiden gave a small smile to Thalia, lightly rubbing the feeler clutching his arm between his fingers as a gesture of appreciation before turning back to the matter at hand. Natalia had captured the Absol successfully with a Pokeball, and insisted that the rangers take their leave as quickly as possible. She turned to him, muttering something about the rangers under her breath. Aiden nodded slowly in return, not having much to offer in the way of commentary on what had just taken place. However, a sudden scream in the distance drew his attention, and he instantly felt tense and aware… Was Team Void causing more trouble in this town? Aiden honestly hoped not… maybe that hideout Void had set up in Ilex would be worth checking out after all, the thought of those bastards terrorizing the citizens of Azalea couldn’t go unignored… Aria seemed to have an idea of what was going on, and insisted that Aiden and Natalia go on into the Center to get their Pokemon healed up. The blonde-haired boy was about to insist that he come along, but held his tongue as the Delphox wasted no time in running towards the source of the outcry. Dag needed to be tended to as quickly as possible… and he knew that Aria could take good care of herself at the very least in the event of danger. ” Be careful, and come back as soon as possible… If help is needed, let me know,” he sent out to Aria in his mind, hoping to Arceus that the Delphox would come back to him safe and sound. With Team Void lurking around, there was no telling what else could possibly happen for the worse… Natalia sent out Nyomii as Aria took off, the Espeon sitting silently and practically gazing at the girl with a thousand-yard stare. Aiden couldn’t help but wonder what exactly had gone on, though he could hazard a guess that it had something to do with Nyomii trying to probe Natalia’s mind, recalling the harsh warning that the girl had directed at Aria earlier… She told Nyomii to follow after Aria and make sure everything was alright, and to send her a message in the event that backup was needed. The Espeon didn’t hesitate to turn and run after the Delphox, the two Psychic-types running as fast as they could in the direction the scream had come from. Aiden really hoped that it wasn’t anything related to Void… after the whole encounter with Jet minutes before, he was not the least bit keen on having to deal with them yet again. But he felt certain that if it was anything significantly threatening, the two Psychic-types would let him and Natalia know, right? Aria and Nyomii were capable of handling themselves if danger happened to find them, and they would certainly look out for one another considering how tight-knit those two were… With that in mind, Aiden and Natalia made their way into the Pokemon Center, stepping off to the side to let her hand over the Absol’s Pokeball to the nurse as she implored the woman to help him. The nurse scanned over the Absol’s diagnostics, instantly horrified at the state of the Pokemon from the scanner’s results, and had him sent off to urgent care as a Blissey took the Pokeball away into another room. Aiden could see that Natalia was worried and stressed, the way she closed her eyes and took deep breaths to keep herself calm… He wanted to say something to her, and yet… he felt as though he couldn’t even begin to find the right words to speak. Nevertheless, he gave an appreciative nod as she stepped aside to let him approach the counter next, Aiden giving a small smile to the nurse as he held out Daguerro’s Pokeball to her. ” We got into a battle earlier and he got pretty roughed up… Would you mind healing him up for me?” he asked, wincing inwardly as he recalled the Jolteon getting brutally double-teamed in their battle against King. Speaking of King, he hoped that the man wouldn’t be too angry that they had essentially left in the middle of a battle, but there wasn’t much else that could’ve been done otherwise. Thalia had been staying behind Aiden the whole time, still quite fearful of everything that had happened before and feeling a bit threatened by the Absol even though he was off elsewhere. The Sylveon glanced up sharply when she felt herself being picked up, though relaxed considerably when she saw that it was Natalia. Thalia gave a small, soft smile as Natalia hugged her and stroked her fur in a comforting gesture. Leaning against the girl, the Sylveon gently wrapped her feelers around Natalia’s neck and nuzzled her cheek.” Fey…”she said quietly, her pale blue eyes sparkling in thought as she mulled over her words.” Natalia…”she then spoke, trying the name out for size. It felt almost strange… after spending so much time calling her Fey, and realizing that she might have to address her by a completely different name. Once Daguerro was in good hands, Aiden turned towards Natalia, offering her a small smile as he nodded towards the hall. ” Let’s go get something to eat, shall we?” he offered, attempting to alleviate the uncertain, awkward silence that had been smothering them for the past several minutes. The cafeteria would be a much more private place for them to talk in, after all, and Aiden wanted to know what was going through Natalia’s mind since she had tried to ask him something before the situation at the Pokemon Center earlier had interrupted. No sooner after he had said that, the familiar voice of a certain friend of theirs drew Aiden’s attention. Sure enough, none other than Giovanni strode up to them, flinging his arms around the two trainers as he greeted them in his own casual manner. ” Hey Gio~ I had a feeling you’d catch up to us sooner or later, nice to see you again,” the blonde-haired boy greeted back with a warm smile. Gio said that he figured the two of them would’ve been long on their way to Goldenrod right about now, and that he had just earned his second badge from Bugsy and asked about if they had as well. ” You beat Bugsy already? Heh, that’s awesome~ Then again, Lucario’s pretty strong as he is already,” Aiden said, chuckling a bit as he momentarily looked towards Lucario before returning his gaze back to Gio, ” In that case, you’re already a good step ahead, Fey and I were thinking of doing some more training before we actually go to take on Bugsy ourselves~” It seemed like their little group of friends was starting to come back together again, though they were still missing October from the looks of it… He glanced over towards Lucario, who seemed a bit bewildered by the absence of Aria, and there was also the fact that October had yet to arrive as well. Aiden hoped that the girl didn’t end up getting stuck in Union Cave or anything like that, it was certainly not the kind of place to be when nightfall came… ” Aria and Nyomii went to go investigate something, they should be back soon enough,” he said with a small smile and a nod towards the Aura Pokemon, looking over towards their ashen-haired companion, ” Hey Gio… You wouldn’t have happened to catch a glimpse of October on your way over here, did you?” He knew that October was capable of holding her own quite well for the most part, and she always had her Pokemon with her for protection and company. Still, Aiden hoped that she was doing alright, and that she would show up soon enough. Glancing between Natalia and Giovanni, Aiden nodded towards the boy as he gestured down the hall leading to the cafeteria. ” We were just about to go grab a bite to eat before we head out to train, you wanna come with?” he asked with a small smile. While Aiden was more or less glad that Gio had arrived, he had also been hoping to talk with Natalia privately in the cafeteria concerning… certain matters that were more or less to only be discussed between the two of them. Of course, they might not get that chance right away if Gio wanted to come with them, but it wouldn’t be that much of a bother since there would likely be more opportunities in the near future. Aria, on the other hand, ran as fast as she could manage towards where she sensed October’s thoughts and emotions, the Delphox feeling considerably relieved when she saw Nyomii running by her side and heard the Espeon’s call towards October echo in her mind. She hoped that the girl wasn’t in any serious danger, though she knew that she could call on Aiden to send backup if it was a necessity. The Delphox would have liked to tell Nyomii how glad she was to see her again, but right now their first priority was to get to October and help her any way they could. She heard October’s thoughts as they drifted into her mind, the girl saying that she couldn’t, that she was scared and that it was going to get her.” October? I need you to stay with us, sweetie, Mimi and I are on the way. Don’t move until we get there, okay?”she spoke softly, doing her best to maintain a calm front in hopes of easing the girl’s panic. Sure enough, the familiar sight of the brunette came into view, with Kiru trying to fend off an Ekans that was far too close to the girl for comfort and River trying to push her trainer away and towards safety. October was clearly frightened out of her wits, the girl was breathing heavily and shaking like a leaf in a hurricane, appearing to be quite rooted to the spot despite the Riolu’s attempts to get her away from the danger.” We need to be careful, Mimi…”she cautioned towards the Espeon, slowing down her pace considerably once they were only a few yards away from October and her Pokemon. She figured it was best that they maintain their distance, it was clear that the Ekans was scared and would likely lash out at the slightest provocation. Kiru was trying to keep the poisonous snake’s attention off of October, but the Ekans was starting to catch on to the Pikachu’s strategy and was uncomfortably close to the girl.” Can you hear us, October? We’re over here,”Aria spoke towards the girl, pulling out her flaming wand and lightly waving it to draw October’s attention to their position.” Stay with us, dear… Can you move at all? If you can, I want you to take slow, steady steps away from that Ekans… Slow and steady, take deep breaths…”she spoke gently and calmly, taking slow steps forward towards October while she kept an eye on the Ekans. Any sudden movements would provoke an attack from the Poison-type, and Aria did not want to risk October getting hurt, much less poisoned for that matter. If October could bring herself to move, surely steady steps would help to get her out of range from close proximity to the snake while at the same time not provoking it to strike out at her. At least, Aria hoped so… but she was prepared to use her powers to pull October and River away from the immediate danger if circumstances called for desperate measures.” River, be careful… Try to guide October towards us if she’s able to move,”she cautioned as she reached out to the Riolu, not wanting River to be put in harm’s way either,” Kiru, we’ll try to get October away from there… But be prepared to knock out that Ekans if all else fails, alright?”This was proving to be a fairly tricky situation, but Aria was certain that between herself and Nyomii, they would be able to get October to safety unharmed. Perhaps they could help with keeping the Ekans’ attention off of the girl to buy her the time to retreat to a safer distance, but there was no telling how the Poison-type would react to the presence of more individuals since it was wild and frightened. If all else failed, knocking it out would be their best bet, and hopefully October wouldn’t be harmed in the process. Right now, Aria was trying to approach the situation in the most rational method possible and keeping calm the whole time. She knew that panicking in a situation like this would only bring more trouble, and by keeping an even composure, hopefully it would help to calm October down enough so that the girl would be able to think and take the needed measures to get herself to safety. And in the event that Plan A didn’t pan out accordingly, there was always Plan B.✦ ✦

No sooner had Huey picked up and pocketed the subject of his awe and excitement, encased in a small capsule, yet another Slowpoke came waddling out of nowhere, its trademark vacant grin only displaying aloofness, if not dimwittedness; and yet the way one eye narrowed and the tip of its tail flickered sporadically it looked like this Slowpoke was more active than its, painfully true, stereotype had labeled it.
Definitely not a fan of sending out a wounded pokemon to fight, Huey was hesitant to send Beep back out, though after a single Thundershock it seemed that his worries were misplaced. His little sheep wagged his tail, pleased with the outcome of his battle: he'd won without even breaking a sweat! Another victory awarded to justice!
