xxxAurelius - Infinitus

With an amused glance towards Tadashi, Aurelius flicked his gaze towards a butcher knife some several feet away, obscured from the vision of most. This butcher knife, and many other like it that lay on each of the food tables scattered all across the garden, suddenly vanished as Aurelius used Kyokko to hide them from sight by refracting light around them. Without moving a muscle, but changing his expression to one of annoyance, Aurelius commanded each of the knives to shoot across the garden towards Tadashi's neck where they would stop just a few centimeters short of his skin before Aurelius shattered the Kyokko so they became visible once more. Cracking his neck, Aurelius hopped off the stool and began to approach Tadashi, slowly but surely, holding the knives in place with a powerful barrier so they couldn't simply be plucked out of the air and be disposed of.

As he approached him, Aurelius spoke in threatening tones, clearly trying to get his point across. "Brat? First that ******** Tetsunosuke and now you? All of you have the nerve to call me a goddamn child when you know full well the abilities I have and the destruction I am capable of?" Now standing mere feet from Tadashi, he grabbed onto his clothes with his mind and hoisted him into the air, directing the knives to follow. His gaze followed the young Lieutenant, a scowl passing over his face. "You even have the audacity to consider killing me with the minimal power you wield? You're a ******** joke. A tiny little boy who needs to take his mother's n****e out of his mouth, let go of the apron strings and learn when to shut his mouth when he's around those who could kill him with a mere thought. Brat, you called me? I've been a man since before you were wetting your pants because you couldn't control your own body.

How I choose to present myself is my own business and I shouldn't have to listen to the snide comments of some little boy who can't even become a Captain before someone who came after him. I'm sure you thought, somewhere deep in your mind, that you could insult me without getting your a** handed to you on a silver platter, simply because I'm considered an ally. I'm neutral, nothing more. I do not wish to ruin the wedding of my mistress, but cross me again, mentally, verbally or physically, and I'll turn you inside out. And don't expect Hei to save you this time."
Lifting his hand, Aurelius flicked his wrist tossing Tadashi back towards the ground at Hibiki's feet, making the knives follow suit. "Getting serious over a simple joke; you're a goddamn disgrace to this entire organization." He said in conclusion, turning away from the Lieutenant and walking away as the knives fell to the ground with a clatter. Aurelius stepped away from the Lieutenant and his Captain, finally arriving back at the table where he clambered onto his stool and returning to the food that he had been interrupted from. He had not missed what Ciel had said to him, but he didn't really care considering he could just put the glass back together if it broke.

Tadashi Sakamoto

9th Division Lieutenant

Tadashi knew something was wrong when he could just sense something malicious in the air around him. It could have been the movement of the knives, or perhaps just the aura of the little boy who believed it was funny to insult strangers. Either way, he momentarily forgot Hibiki's question as he steeled himself for whatever was going to happen. Aurelius was certianly dangerous and despite him being an ally, one could not be certain exactly how he would react to anything.

As Aurelius began to speak of his destructive capabilities, Tadashi eyed the knives, being surprised that someone who had managed to trounce multiple captains at once was pointing his wrath himself, a mere Lieutenant. Tadashi could do little more than nod as he was hoisted into the air by an invisible force; he was too afraid to remember that Aurelius could move anything with a single thought, which was odd considering he could still see the knives.

Tadashi was a bit taken aback by the comment on his failing to become a Captain before Kyo, who had a considerable boost to help him along thanks to Zenos. Tadashi grimaced like as Aurelius threw him at Hibiki's feet. From his face-up position on the ground, Tadashi looked up at the knives and then at Aurelius, unsure of what to say.

At the last comment, Tadashi's face fell. He was a disgrace? Who the hell was Aurelius to judge? Standing up, he looked at Aurelius's retreating back with a mixture of hatred and frustration on his face, doing his best to keep his feelings at bay in order to not incur the wrath of the Exaequare once more. He didn't much feel like messing with the easily ruffled brat any more.

Unlike Tadashi, who could more or less sense Aurelius’ manipulation of the knives towards him, Hibiki was blissfully unaware of the danger his Lieutenant would soon find himself in. Either this was because of the fact that he was preoccupied with asking Tadashi his question, or because of the fact that he wasn’t really paying much attention to his surrounding, didn’t really matter as there was nothing he could do to intervene on behalf of his Lieutenant. When the Kyokko was lifted, Hibiki’s gaze immediately shot towards the knives aimed at Tadashi’s neck. Given his knowledge of Kido spells, especially Bakudo spells, he was able to figure out the mechanism by which the knives were made invisible, but he didn’t know who shot them, until he heard Aurelius’ voice as the ex-Exaequere made his way towards them.

A look of frustration etched across Hibiki’s face, despite the fact that the ex-Exaequere had been residing within Seiretei for over a year now; he still had his doubts over his loyalty, to Seiretei or to anyone for that matter. Now, with Aurelius very much close to them, Hibiki listened with a look of exasperation as he began to intimidate his Lieutenant. Sparing a glance towards Tadashi, Hibiki noticed that he was afraid of Aurelius, which was quite expected, given the fact that he was once a member of a race who’s second in command had the power to play around with matter as if it were a toy. As Aurelius continued his power-trip at Tadashi’s expense, Hibiki’s mind wandered to the similarities between him and Hei, before stopping when he realized the latter was far more mature that he gave him credit for, and Hibiki didn’t give the man any credit to begin with.

Noticing that Aurelius was finally finished with Tadashi, Hibiki casually handed him a cupcake he had gingerly plucked from one of the servants’ tray while Aurelius was lowering Tadashi’s ego. Tossing him the treat, Hibiki spoke once he knew Aurelius was out of ear range, though he knew he could still read minds so it didn’t really matter ”A bit overbearing, huh?” he jested trying to take Tadashi’s mind off things ”But that’s Aurelius for you. The only persons I can think of that can step up to him are Tsukiko, Yuki, and as much as I’d like to deny it, Hei. But enough about that I suppose, party’s not about him after all.” stated Hibiki as he plucked another desert off a passing tray ”The party’s about the newly-wed couple.” spoke Hibiki before biting down on the desert treat.

Have you ever encountered such a beautiful melody?

═══════════════════════╕››››››››››››

Once on the street outside of the Hakase estate, Kyo released his policeman's hat from his belt and put it on his head, straightening his hair so it was not a mess as he did. He then pulled a pair of sunglasses out of his right interior jacket pocket and put them on. After adjusting his clothing back, he began to walk at a mild pace towards the 8th Division's Police Headquarters. Along the way he kept his head forward, but his eyes were darting from side to side watching the people he pass for any sign of misdoing. For the most part they were non the wiser to being watched because of Kyo's large dark sunglasses. Kyo knew most of the Shinigami he was passing were looking at him with mixed feelings because of his reputation for being a hard a**, but he liked it that way. As long as he was seen like that, people would stay in line and his job was easier. No one could deny that his actions had a positive effect. If it cost him friends so be it. He simply wanted to do his job better than anyone before. He was just determined not to be a disappointment to his position and his public image was something that had to be sacrificed to achieve that.

After a while Kyo arrived at his intended location. He loved the look of the building that was the Shinigami Police HQ. It looked like a building of authority, just like he wanted. He was greeted by other officers hustling in and out of the giant doors as he made his way up the main walkway. Once inside he made a beeline for the elevator, greeting anyone that said hello to him with a nod in return. After a short ride on the elevator, Kyo arrived on the 5th floor of the building and the location of his office. Down the hall in front of him was a large glass door with large black lettering that read: Kyoshiro Kurihara, Hachibantai Captain and Shinigami Police Chief. Kyo walked over to the door before pulling out his key, and sliding it into the lock all in one smooth motion. He turned the key listening to the sound of the latch releasing as he unlocked the door and swung it open. Immediately the scent of apples hit him and he couldn't help but smile a little. The smell wasn't an accident as Kyo purposefully placed air fresheners in his office to produce it. He loved the scent and it comforted him as apples were his favorite fruit. Kyo took off his hat and jacket, hanging them up on a coat rack in the corner with a sigh. He then walked over and looked out the window in deep thought.

Suzume
Suzume had a little laughing fit while trying to pass her laughter off as something else. It seemed like Nu had been played around with, or something like that, unless her deductions were completely wrong. However, it was a pretty handy piece of information to have around in case a situation came up, or she wanted to have a few laughs. Grinning to herself, she absentmindedly swished the drink around in her cup, before turning to Nu and replying, “Nah, but I guess I’ll just have to keep looking until something happens, eh?” She had been about to wink at Nu, but at that moment, Ciel decided to speak up, using a tone she had never heard him use before, although that wasn’t saying much as she had just met him. His tone absolutely terrified her and she involuntarily flinched as she listened to him. While she was not a Captain and one might think that it had nothing to do with her, it was still frightening all of the same. Even after he had calmed down and excused himself, she found herself confusedly staring at his back as he walked away. She thought, Mental note to oneself: Never, ever, ever piss off a guy like that or even attempt to.

As a sudden wind picked up, she quickly brushed her dress down, making sure that it didn’t fly up too high. Sheesh, what sort of person would have done that? Spotting Kato, she sighed and turned back. It wasn’t like she knew him very well, but she knew he was a Captain and it was a little weird for one’s spirit to be flying around randomly. Her mind subconsciously listened to Hideki, but she focused herself on the present. After all, while music was a good thing, she should really devote her time to meeting other people. She nodded to Nu as the girl Captain apologized before leaving. Everybody seemed to be having things to do and places to go all the time. Seriously, she should just get a life or something like that, really. Downing the rest of her drink, she merely stared off into the distance, her face unusually blank.

Elisia
Elisia grinned at Tsukiko too, genuinely delighted to see that the other girl seemed a little happier than before. It seemed like Tsukiko still retained some aspects of her age and that was good to see, as it was still hard for her to find anything the same with the Tsukiko before. While she didn’t outwardly show it that much, it was very important to her that somebody was there for her all the time and Tsukiko had already shown herself to do that. Looking at the picture frame with the clock, she couldn’t help but giggle too. There was something contagious about laughing and it was enjoyable, especially with the girl so near. “It is very beautiful, I must say. Maybe there’s some sort of secret that Hibiki’s been keeping from us?” she said cheerfully, ruffling the other girl’s hair as she tenderly smiled. Hideki’s announcement caught her attention and she briefly glanced over his way, before hiding her face and turning beet red. He didn’t have to go so far as to toast them, but it was a nice gesture. Before, she had always found him scary, but it seemed as if even Hideki had a softer side, something she had seen when she had still been unable to confess to Tsukiko. Bobbing her head in time, she found herself a little scared in the last piece, wondering exactly why he had chosen that piece. It was surely a pretty piece, but there was something ill-omened about it that she couldn’t quite put her finger on.

▂▂ ▂▂ ▂▂ ▂▂ ▂▂

Sebastian Dreher
Malchut Path

▂▂ ▂▂ ▂▂ ▂▂ ▂▂

A garganta ripped open across the expanse of wall in the Northern side of Kyo's office, heralding the arrival of a Sephira who stepped out of the tunnel of swirling torrential energy, his weapon of choice, a naginata, firmly in his grasp. The tan haired man quickly found that his intended target was standing near the window, apparently enjoying the view it gave way to. Just as Zenos had commanded, Sebastian wasted no time in completing his objective; the manipulation of Kyoshiro Kurihara. Truthfully he was happy that he had found Kyo so fast, though it was to be expected since he had used a device of Ori's creation that allowed one to track the Reiatsu of someone who had already been in direct contact with the person who had added their signature to the device. It worked on Reiatsu memory, so it could "extract" the feel of someone else's Reiatsu from the person who calibrated the device. Zenos had personally attuned this device after blooding Kyo, his original purpose being to keep tabs on him at all times. It was now serving Sebastian the same purpose, as it had allowed him to easily locate Kyo from within the Garganta itself, and thus was able to to modify the Garganta's exit to Kyo's location.

Pocketing the device, Sebastian gave Kyo a devilish grin, then suddenly and without warning, twirled his naginata in his hand and waited for several rotations before stabbing the blade in Kyo's direction, though getting nowhere near him. This action caused the tiniest of explosions to occur on the hinges of the temple arms to Kyo's sunglasses, causing the eye wear to break apart and fall to the ground. Chuckling, Sebastian lowered his weapon, extended his left fist, flicked his fingers out towards Kyo, and uttered the single word that would allow him to switch Kyo's alignment. "Steuerung!" Instantly, in the eyes of Kyo, the room would begin to spin as Sebastian aligned himself Kyo's inner vampire and forced him to bend to Sebastian's will. The reason Sebastian was such a valuable asset to Zenos was because of this single ability to control vampires and bend their actions to his will. Because of this, Zenos kept him close at hand to keep his eyes on him at all times just in case he should decide to turn on him. Zenos needn't worry about that though because Sebastian cared deeply for Zenos and would never cross him.

His grin spreading, he allowed his voice to carry over to Kyo who would probably be experiencing some sort of inner struggle as Sebastian's powers took effect. "Come, vampire. Submit to your innermost desires and cast aside those bonds you have with the Soul Society. Toss them away, walk the path towards darkness and join the Sephira! Heed me, vampire. I am your master and you will follow me to the ends of the earth or perish at my feet. Stand and fight, young one. Your first mission is to aid the Sephira in their invasion of the Seireitei. You will eliminate any Shinigami in your way, that is your first order!" Now at the point of laughing like a mad man, Sebastian approached the nearest wall and made quick work of it with his naginata, taking out a large portion of it with a few swings. "Go!" Pointing out the hole in the wall, Sebastian waited for the Shinigami to finally to submit to his vampire and comply with his orders and leave to follow through with them. Sebastian would exit shortly afterward. Not only could Sebastian control the vampire, but he was ideal for this initial infiltration because his Reiatsu was non-existant and thus he wouldn't be noticed by any Shinigami, even if they knew what to search for.

Asami was paying little attention to the party, and had been almost in a dream state for the past few minutes. Though she had noticed Nanaishi when he had came over and seemed to be interacting with another person though no one was there that Asami could see, she figured it was just his Zanpakuto Spirit and nothing more. However after a bit she was pulled out of her state once more by a murderous aura that was coming from the party. Though it was fairly faint it was something Asami picked up on instantly, being from the eleventh squad.

"So seems like someone is getting themselves into trouble." She chuckled as she scanned the area and saw Tadashi being lifted into the air. She didn't know what he had said to piss Aurelius off, but she knew that Aurelius was the one pulling the strings behind the assault on the Lieutenant. With a shrug of her shoulders she returned to her spot against the tree completely ignoring the fight as Tadashi was thrown. It was none of her concern and frankly she didn't care much anyway. "So Nanashi, is this simply the spirit of your Zanpakutou you seem to be interacting with? Or has my Lieutenant gone crazy?" She smiled as she stated the part about him being crazy.

"Telling me to go. But hands beg me to stay. Your lips say that you love. Your eyes say that you hate. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. What you build you lay to waste. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take. So I, I won't be the one. Be the one to leave this. In pieces. And you, you will be alone. Alone with all your secrets. And regrets, don't lie. You promised me the sky. Then tossed me like a stone. You wrap me in your arms. And chill me to the bone. There's truth in your lies. Doubt in your faith. All I've got's what you didn't take."

Lee gave Aurelius a slight nod at Aurelius' response to being thanked something that didn't really bothered Lee. He just felt he had to thank the Exaequare for the information. Being referred to as lover boy caused lee to raise his eyebrow slightly but saying nothing about it. It wasn't that he minded really it was just odd to hear someone say it really.
"Yes and I see you have made a good use of all that time." Hearing the chuckle and small mumbled phrase that followed Lee couldn't help but wonder exactly what he had spoke of. "What was that Aurelius-kun? Didn't quite catch it." It sounded oddly like Any minute now but surely there was nothing to be expected at the reception. Then again knowing Aurelius it could be something minor and just something he found amusing. "Never mind. I am curious about something however. There was quite the odd occurrence within my head a few minutes ago I am sure you already know about it. May I ask what exactly it was?"

While it may have slightly sounded like it Lee wasn't accusing Aurelius of doing anything it was just something that was confusing for him. Never had Lee randomly heard a song he had never heard in the first place inside of his head like that. getting a glass of water Lee took a drink currently relaxed and awaiting whatever answer Aurelius would have. The Seventh Division Lieutenant had spoken to Aurelius something the Exaequare had simply brushed off. Hearing Hideki over the microphone Lee turned around and listened to the man. Raising his own glass of water in response Lee took a large gulp afterwards before listening to the music being played. It wasn't the same as Hei's but it was still rather well making Lee wonder exactly how many of the current Captains had musical talent. Lee himself had never tried his hand at playing an instrument before or he would have added his own little tune to the reception.

Turning around for a moment Lee caught Nu nearby and glancing at him for the moment causing him to stop and look at her for a moment or two. His stare almost caused him to entirely miss Aurelius verbally assaulting Tadashi. The only thing that even brought it to his attention at all was the words Aurelius was speaking. Turning towards the disturbance Lee watched on in apathy waiting for Aurelius to be finished. If Lee could have ignored what was being done it was truly a sight to behold that Aurelius had managed all that without even really harming Tadashi physically. Letting out a small sigh Lee let the little confrontation go for the mere fact that Tadashi was fine and had just been warned. Lee really had no idea what had been said to Tadashi or how he had reacted to it considering it was obviously a mental thing. Therefore he couldn't properly assess the situation.

Watching as Aurelius took his seat again Lee looked at him for a few moments before looking forward again.
"I wouldn't listen to him Aurelius-kun. Such things are beneath you. I mean if you listen to hotheads like that you are just going to have to follow through on your threat. Is such a fool really worth your time? Really worth the thought it would take to end his life? I think not. Let him think what he wants because the people who matter are already very aware of what you can do. And with that I leave you to your thoughts." Walking forward Lee took a seat next to Nu without a second thought leaning back for a moment or two and taking a drink of the water finishing it. "Okay Nu-taicho. Talk to me what is the problem? Did I do something I am not aware of to upset you? Do I have something on my face? If not then I have to wonder why the Captain of the assassination division is watching me like a hawk. Makes me slightly nervous." Giving Nu a smile to hopefully make the serious talk less so Lee waited for her answer.

"Sacrifice through Danger and Pure Love. That is what the Lily of the Valley symbolizes."

Seemed Aurelius did not take kindly to men like Tadashi. Sipping quietly, she raised an eye in boredom as the man was flung aside almost comically. She didn't need the ability to ask the universe to know what went down, and who won. It wasn't wise to anger the man, while he was not exactly harmful or threatening anyone, he certainly didn't have to follow Soul Society customs, which made him a neutral rogue in affairs. Returning to her drink, she could see him walking over, knowing that she was spying once again on her former captain. "Uh oh, looks like I was caught..." ]Sighing to herself quietly, she allows him some space on the bench before she got the lecture she knew she was going to receive. "Don't think too ill of me Lee-taichou, but I did glimpse you and Eriko-san on a.....private matter and thought it strange, based on you personality of course..."

Setting her drink down to be carried away, she continues. "I have known you perhaps the longest I have been in the Gotei 13, and have been your lieutenant for quite some time, and while we never really spoke much on things, I eventually learned we didn't have to to understand each other so well as we do...." Staring into his eyes with careful studying, she sighs again, this time a little louder, before stretching your arms. "So I know you, and the first thing I ever learned 'bout you Lee was your preference of privacy." Smiling at some old memories, she stares at her shoes in a sudden interest. "You hate social outing, usually not really a talkative man, and frankly your more of a recluse then anything, but it was clear to me that if, and I honestly thought this earlier in my days, if you ever found yourself a significant other, well...you wouldn't..kiss her in public...as you did.." Raising her hands in meek defense, she looks at her ex-captain nervously. "It wasn't as though I didn't look away a second after you understand! Its simply the way you...erm...embraced her that struck me as odd, I always imagined you to be more.......erm, forget it...." Waving off the last statement as though it was unimportant, she folds her hands together as she looks to the crowd.

"Old loyalties still stand y'know, gotta watch out for you Taicho, so I worry, though it could have been my imagination..." Coughing nervously, she rises, offering the man a small smile, usually reserved for....well no one. "If something is bothering you, I hope you could break away from your shell once in a while and tell at least me your problems, alright?" Offering the man a firm hand to his shoulder, she smirks and begins to walk away, she needed some water now to get her head clear.

Malchut Sephira - Being of Lowliness

The spark to the war to come was Zenos' simple, hostile appearance in the blue skies of the Seireitei, some 700 feet above the Hakase estate that was host to many festivities. His entrance was impossible to ignore as the second he had stepped out of the vast Garganta, he unsealed his Reiatsu by going straight into his Resurrección state, causing his Reiatsu to take the form of pebbles falling towards the ground and spread across a wide area, certainly the entire garden. Holding his hand high above his head, he caused several hundred steel spears to materialize, or rather arrive above his head, angled towards the ground. "Λόγχη του χάλυβα." Swinging his hand down and beginning his descent down, which was him falling towards the ground while at a 72 degree angle, the steel spears suddenly lurched forward, crashing down towards the ground to cause major area damage, even being capable of punching through a Danku.

Zenos touched ground amidst the party, landing on his right foot, his left following shortly after. For a moment, he was motionless as he scanned the area, taking in relative power levels and locations of his prey. Shuffling his feet, he broke his frozen state and lifted both of his hands to about chest level and snapped both of this fingers, causing two very large Garganta to rip open, one to his far left, and the second to his far right, each at least a hundred yards away. From the Garganta to his left, Gillian began to pour out, firing Cero in every direction and trampling on anything in their path. Alternatively, to his right, Adjuchas-level Menos flew, jumped, crawled, slithered, and galloped out of the Garganta, taking a more direct approach, clawing, biting, strangling, and stabbing any Shinigami in their way. They would prove difficult to kill as Zenos had taken his time over the year to actually speak with them and impart human-level intelligence onto them, allowing them to create strategies and the like. Or rather, Sebastian had done so; Zenos had merely napped in the desert during this time.

Eliminating the weakest first was a good tactic to use, especially considering the weak had a tendency to come back and do something annoying to change the tide of battle sometime later. Zenos had learned that merely by watching the humans for centuries on end- he didn't have to fight know that. Zenos' blank gaze fell on Ciel, a thin, wiry little thing of a man who looked like he'd snap like a toothpick if Zenos so much as punched him in the gut. Now that his first target was settled upon, Zenos quickly manipulated the ground around them causing two walls of rising sand to essentially form a hallway that he and Ciel were the only ones within. He did so to keep any others from interfering as he knew all to well how much these Shinigami liked to help out their comrades. It was unheard of in the Sephira ranks; you got attacked and you were on your own.

Zenos removed his right hand from his pocket, having put it there after calling the hollow to swarm upon the area. Lifting it to his mouth, he but the skin and ripped it open, allowing a rivulet of blood to spill out of the wound. Extending his pointer finger, a dull-grey spread of Reiryoku began to gather at the tip of his claw-like nail as he began to form a Gran Rey Cero. Zenos was suddenly upon the Lieutenant, his hand mere centimeter's from his face as the walls came crashing down, revealing to all that Ciel was about to meet his untimely end at the hands of the Malchut Sephira. Instead of firing it however, he kept the Gran Rey Cero's massive power contained within his tightened fist to release an explosion upon making contact with Ciel's face. Such destructive force added onto Zenos' already ridiculous physical strength meant Ciel would more than likely die a few seconds after being struck, if not immediately. Now that he was nearly shoulder to shoulder with the Lieutenant, he glanced to the side, giving him a blank look through one eye and spoke his parting words to the boy, mere milliseconds before impact. "Namu Amida Butsu." Though he had no hope of Ciel knowing what he meant by that, he spoke it anyway.

...and thus the world is petrified.

Given the distraction Aurelius was making, Ciel could do little else as he was forced to tear his attention away from his lazy captain. He watched in amazement as this little of boy of three magically lifted Tadashi into the air with a force he could not see. Remembering that Aurelius had earlier shown signs of telekinesis, he straightened his expression and cracked his book open and began to jot things down. It was clear to him that Aurelius could read minds, so him writing what he was thinking down on paper wouldn't make much of a difference.

The young boy is apparently much older than he looks and clearly quick to anger. I can identify with his anger though, as it appears young Tadashi was insulting him based on his appearance, which is not something even the most stoic of people wish to hear. It remains clear to me that the young boy is a powerful psychic with powers that far surpass any Shinigami in existance.

Right about now, he was beginning to regret the fact that he had ignored the tyke over the past year, even when he had suddenly taken up residence in the Seireitei without rhyme or reason. At the time he had ignored it to concentrate on his own training- apparently a rather large oversight on his part. Ciel had little time to contemplate this situation any longer as Reiatsu in the form of pebbles began pelting him all over, prompting him to glance up at the falling person and accompanying spears. Doing his best to remain calm, Ciel gracefully dodged those that fell around him, finding the gaps between them by carefully observing them as they fell. He may not have been strong, be he was very analytical and intelligent. Once the spears were scattered about the garden, Ciel looked around to survey the damage and watch hundreds of hollow swarm the Seireitei, his red eyes finally falling on Zenos just as the Arrancar set his sight on the Lieutenant. Cringing at the fact that the invader bit his own thumb, he was quickly shocked to find his hand mere centimeters from his face and to hear a Buddhist chant being spoke in his right ear by his attacker. It was only because he had seen Zenos look in his direction that he knew something was coming his way.

Without a second to lose, he wordlessly cast a Geki, engulfing Zenos’ hand in a bright red light that would serve to paralyze it before it could reach his face. Now that he had stopped the approaching hand but not his entire body, he altered his shocked expression and quickly ran his flat right hand down the length of Zenos' arm and set his left hand under his wrist, taking care to avoid the Gran Rey Cero's area of influence. In a single swift motion, the wiry Lieutenant moved his right knee to Zenos's gut and pushed upwards, the result being that he used Zenos' own weight and velocity against him to hurl him high into the air, such an act being child's play for a Aikido master. With a smug look on his face now that the Sephira had been tossed aside, Ciel's hands went straight to the lapels of his tuxedo and he tugged at them. "Με κρίνετε από την εμφάνισή μου σας κάνει; Δεν πρέπει. Watashi wa aku made Shinigami desukara." Arrogance was not Ciel's normal emotion he liked to express, but certain situations called for it, now being one of them. Opening the right side of his tuxedo, his left hand disappeared within its depths, pulling out the smallest Zanpakutō currently in existence. In its sealed state, Daaku Sukuriputo took the form of a Yoroi tōshi, a small Japanese dagger with the sole purpose of punching through armor. Because of this and Ciel's lack of physical strength, it suited him just as well as his Aikido did.

"Inshipitto, Daaku Sukuriputo." He stated plainly, twirling the tiny dagger between his fingers, causing it to turn into pure light energy and materialize into an ornate pen and leather journal that fell into his hands as they appeared. Cracking the journal open, he fed Reiryoku into the pen and rapidly wrote the words "Diction" and "Ubi Sunt" onto a page so fast that he was done before most would have even written the 'Di'. "Deikushon, Ubi Soonto." He commanded, the abilities activating simultaneously. First and foremost, the word 'Speak', written in the glowing purple runes that governed Ciel's Zanpakutō, was instantly tattooed on Zenos' tongue, forcing him to speak the names of any and all of his attacks from now on. Secondly, the word 'Amnesia' was written in runes over and over again in a three-dimensional spiral that formed around Ciel in the shape of a sphere that was twenty feet in diameter. Opponents were forbidden from entering from this space, and should anyone even so much as put a hair past this line, they will suddenly forget what they were were doing for a short time and be forcefully expelled from the area. Cracking a sly smile, Ciel looked to Zenos and stabbed his pen in the Sephira's direction. "Your move, pretty boy."

ℒiterature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become.

Με κρίνετε από την εμφάνισή μου σας κάνει; Δεν πρέπει. -Judge me by my appearance do you? You should not.
Watashi wa aku made Shinigami desukara. - I am one hell of a Shinigami.

Have you ever encountered such a beautiful melody?

Kyo noted the light tap of something hitting the floor. He was sure it was merely a pen or something that had rolled of his desk. He turned intending to pick the vagrant item up and return it to it's proper place, but was instead surprised to find someone standing there. Instantly his hand went to his Zanpakuto as he looked at the intruder, who was now smiling and twirling his weapon. "I do not know who you are or why you've come, but by the authority of the Hachibantai I'm going to have to ask that you slowly place your weapon on the ground and keep your hands where I can..." Kyo was cut short by Sebastian blowing his sunglasses off of his face. "Want to do this the hard way, huh?" Kyo went to draw Zetsumeireiki, but before he could even get it more than an inch out of the saya, he froze.

Kyo was surprised to suddenly find himself in his inner world where his Inner vampire had already subjugated Zetsumeireiki. "Hello, Kyo....and goodbye." Before Kyo could react he was encased in a giant ice crystal so pristine it looked almost like he was just frozen in midair. "And now it's time for me to go have some fun." Kyo's inner vampire let out a maniacal laugh as he disappeared.

"Thanks for lettin me outta that box. I was gettin sick as s**t of seein the same scenery every damn day." Kyo stretched and cracked his neck as he spoke. His hair and eyes had already changed color, and anyone could easily tell he had fangs. It was extremely apparent his personality had changed as well. He quickly drew his Zanpakuto and activated his bankai. "Oh I'll kill everyone alright. But I'm gonna start with this group of insignificant ******** that Kyo is so proud of." Kyo smiled evilly at Sebastian. "You might wanna leave the building for this one." Kyo then walked to the center of the room. He raised his leg then drove it down, breaking a hole in the floor and storing the frequency of the building in the boot. He jumped through the hole and did the same thing with the other boot, then his left hand, then his right, until he finally reached the ground floor in a cloud of dust. The members of the Hachibantai that were present in the main lobby were stunned. Kyo had just dropped five floors with his bankai active and was now standing in the center of the room looking around as if it were nothing while his weapons were singing an ominous tune. "Kurihara-Taicho......is....is something wrong?" an unseated member finally asked at last. "Yeah...you're all still alive." Kyo smiled then stomped on the floor of the lobby again. His bankai's ability took effect immediately and in a flash the entire building and all of it's occupants were encased in ice. In that instant, nearly four-fifths of the Hachibantai ceased to be. Their lives ended by the power of the very Captain they so loyally followed. Kyo bellowed laughter. His inner vampire reveling in the fact that he's used Kyo's own power to destroy the very thing Kyo treasured most. His precious Hachibantai was no more. His revenge completed, vampire Kyo burst through the wall of ice that used to be the main entrance to the building. Outside there were plenty of survivors, but they were no match for the power of Kyo's bankai and were effortlessly dispatched.

"W-why, Taicho? I looked up to you," A lower seated officer said tears streaming down her face as Kyo held her off the ground with one hand. "Because it's my true nature," Kyo replied before snapping the girl's neck. He then drained the lifeless body of blood and tossed it to the side before continuing on towards the Hakase estate, leaving a trail of death and destruction in his wake.

[For your listening pleasure]
Smiling to herself, the simple pleasure was wiped clean off her expression as a massive reiatsu came pouring atop them. Looking up, she barely had time to recognize the face of Zenos before he summoned a large number of spears, Nu not needing much time thinking what he was planning to do with them. "Crap....Lee.." She looked around for anything to hide behind, but that idea was soon broken when one of the first spears came down, causing a considerable crater in the ground as it pierced the earth easily. Trusting Lee to the point where she didn't need to worry about him, she focuses on the pillars that flew down, paying close attention to those that were closest to her, not wanting any injuries before the real fight began. Using shunpo it was easy enough to deal with the spears that lacked intelligence. The difficult part is dealing with Zenos, who seemed to have put quite a bit of thought in this plan before he showed up. Now, as if it wasn;t hard enough to worry about falling spears of death, they had to worry on countless Gillians and Adjuchas coming out of the Garganta's void, all wanting to rip the shinigami to shreds. Deciding it better to worry on the gillians, she proceeds to weave her way past falling spears, the destruction was a shame to what was once a beautiful place.

Her eyes averted to Zenos's target, Ciel, as he was trapped and forced to tangle with the Sephira alone. Though these fears were soon tossed aside as Ciel managed to avoid the attack, as well as counter attack, leaving any doubts on the man's skills after his little performance. At least he was alright, but that just meant she had no idea where the other Captains went.

Activating her shunko, her newly gained speed makes short work of the distance between herself and the giant hollows. Three hollows fell in seconds as Nu made short work of the slow beasts. Though it was hard to tell, it was somewhat clear that they were better trained then usual, their organization made it somewhat difficult to kill them in the groups that she wanted to. An open hand went through a gillian's mask with ease, her nails proving just as effective to pierce as her zanpakutou in this situation. The problem though lied in the Garganta. She could bat away at the Gillians all she wanted but there was no doubt that a sizeable force of them were prepared to invade, and she didn't know of any way to shut down those damned portals. "Kokeru..." Her sword, after a year of training, was usually replaced with a small tanto hidden on her person, finding a smaller weapon better suited for her needs. Now as her shikai activated, she took out her weapon carefully, running a finger on the edge of the blade. "Raisoku Shundō...." Dissapearing with a crack that sounded like lightning, she reappears to the nearest hollow, delivering a devastating kick to its head. Combining the strenth of her shunko with her speed, her destruction rate was growing higher, hollow after hollow falling to her technique. Though she wondered how everyone else fared, she couldn't get distracted, lest she die now.

Crashing to the ground, she had to shake her head to gain proper state of balance, her eyes getting boggled eyery time she finally lands on ground. Watching as more came, she looked around for Lee, Kyo, any signs of life to let her know they were alright.

Tadashi Sakamoto

9th Division Lieutenant

"The 'god' gets angry when I, surprisingly, don't like my mind being invaded and my being insulted. He insults me, my family, and screams into my skull as if a siren," commented Tadashi angrily to Hibiki. He sat himself back down and shook his head. All he was thinking about was the seething hatred he felt for Aurelius, though he made a point to restrict his thoughts. How the hell was he supposed to not do exactly what he was told not to by the brat when it was all he wanted to do at the moment? Ignoring each and every one of Hibiki's words after 'overbearing', he tugged on the string the sake gourd that was connected to his waist and snapped it. At the same time, he pulled out his saucer and immediately poured himself a drink, accidentally spilling some on the table. He didn't care if his Captain was watching, he just wanted the day to be over. Any feelings of calm boredom had given way to utter humiliation and hatred. The two foremost issues Tenma had spoken to him of were to cast away his pride and establish control over his naturally cynical mind. Aurelius laughed at him, insulted him, and Tadashi really should have sat there and took it. But his pride had ached uncontrollably and his anger rose up to a level he couldn't control.

Tadashi stared at his saucer for a little longer before picking it up. He was about to down it all in one gulp before he felt a reiatsu he hadn't felt for a year. The Lieutenant's eyes widened and his hand immediately went for Tenma's hilt. He didn't even notice dropping the gourd and saucer on the table. "Bathe in Crimson, Tenma," he said as he unsheathed the blade. Already he noticed the pebble rain. Tadashi stood up, about to say something to Hibiki before checking the sky above him and seeing that pebbles weren't the only thing that were about to rain down. As the spears fell down at an alarming velocity, Tadashi made a point to analyze the ones that would come into his immediate area and adjust his position accordingly. He then quickly conjured an Enkosen just in case he was wrong (although he doubted that it would stop any of the spears). Fortunately, his calculation had been correct and he found himself between several spears but not cut in the slightest.

Scanning the sky for Zenos, Tadashi used Buki Suitchi to switch the claw Tenma with the crossbow that came with Bankai. He then had his Sunaipaai to materialize in order to help him aim. However, Tadashi found that Zenos had already touched ground and had finished taking in the scene around him. Out of nowhere, Gillian and Adjuchas came streaming out of two Garganta formed by the simple whim of Zenos's hands. Tadashi immediately locked onto several and began to fire concentrated blasts of reishi with the crossbow, mixing in two area-spraying Sokatsui shots with it. The Kido Zofuku amplification ability of the crossbow would magnify the Sokatsuis powers, thus being enough to cut down a few of the Menos Grande with ease. He was about to aim for an Adjuchas on the other side when it disappeared from view. Surprised, he checked again and found the Adjuchas to be different than the garden variety by how it seemed intelligent enough to act on more than raw instinct. Tadashi took aim carefully and released successive bolts of reishi on the Adjuchas, managing to kill it with some calculated shots.

Tadashi was too busy with the Menos and Adjuchas that he didn't even notice the attack on Ciel. If he did, he may have actually been of assistance by using his crossbow to distract Zenos and give someone else the chance to attack or something. However, when he did notice Ciel, he only saw the skillful movements of the Lieutenant momentarily stun the Arrancar.

Tadashi considered going into Bankai, but he felt the worst was yet to come. He could handle the Menos and Adjuchas easily with his Shikai, but not the current opponent that was Zenos. So, he resigned himself to flash-stepping around in the air, squeezing off rapid shots against the Menos, and sometimes aiming for the Adjuchas as well.
