NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH!Season for Giving pt 2! The time has finally come! With the end of year food drive drawing to an end and the celebratory Winter Gala looming it's time for the knights and senshi to gather together and see what they've collected for the city. The cordinates of an abandoned warehouse at the edge of town along with a day for everyone to meet together or simply drop off their haul has been sent out via another anonymous message. If you collected food, clothing, toys, money or whatever over December be sure to bring it. If you've forgotten and still want to throw in some last minute donations this is the place. (This is an ORP for any order senshi, knight, or cat. If you are at all interested in joining the drop off rp at the Winter Gala you MUST post first in this thread, as certain rules apply for the Winter Gala)

NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! A new addition to the skyline of Destiny City is being built, with cranes and the beginnings of a large metal building taking root right at the edge of downtown. A new business building, part of the PSC International Group. Mostly boring minor sound annoyance to the folks living near downtown, housing thousands of office spaces and a few swank meeting rooms for prospective clients. NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH!Civilians and everyone! Destiny City has always had it's far share of snow during the winter, but one big storm on top of another in the past week has pretty well buried the city. With over a foot of snow many businesses are closed and people are hunkering down indoors. You know what that means, Snow Day! Schools are out as well as many businesses. How are you going to spend your extra days off? Or if you're one of the unlucky few who didn't get the day off, how are you taking it? Powered characters Destiny City has always had it's far share of snow during the winter, but one big storm on top of another in the past week has pretty well buried the city. With over a foot of snow many businesses are closed and people are hunkering down indoors. With not many people running around will you still be patrolling or will you be taking a break of your own? If you do head out how are the extreme elements affecting your patrol?

NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! Civilian Prompt: Movie Night You’re up watching your favorite genre of movie. For whatever reason the movie has really gotten to you; you can’t quite shake the feelings or thoughts that it brought up. This has inspired, or scared, you into taking some kind of action. What are you doing now or how are you dealing with the feelings? Examples: A romantic comedy might inspire your character to try online dating. A horror film might scare your character so much they need to sleep with the lights on and build a safety fort. A period drama might get them interested in learning about the past or their own heritage. Order Prompt: Surpise! You’re out for a regular patrol. Everything seems to be going just fine, and there hasn’t yet been any sign of an enemy. Suddenly, you hear/see something nearby (around a corner/in the bushes, etc.). Rushing to investigate, what you end up finding is something that you would have least expected. The item/person/thing should be something your character is not expecting to find while on patrol; it could be anything that will surprise/delight/or horrify. Senshi Prompt: What's In A Name? Perhaps you’re a newly awakened senshi, or you’ve been studying mythology/astronomy in a recent class, but for whatever reason, you’re become really interested in your senshi name’s meaning or history. This leads you to researching the myths or history attached to your star or planet’s name. As you learn about the earthly significance of your senshi name, you begin to wonder if any of it was really true. In the past, was there a previous senshi (or your past self) that did any of things that was said to have happened? How do you feel about this, could it be true or just bologna? If inclined, your character might even venture to space to see if there’s any truth to be told there. Knight Prompt: Fact Or Fiction You just can’t get your knight identity out of your head. Something about it has been nagging at you over and over. This has led you to spending hours wasting time googling your knight name. Did you learn anything? You might even want to check these facts for yourself. Visit your wonder to see if earthly scholars knew what they were talking about, or if your planet’s wonder is at all similar to the one back on Earth.

NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! There’s a buzz on the news and radio for up-coming community events. Many already tuned in to Astronomical events would already know, but for most it’s a pleasant surprise: on February 17th there’ll be an Aurigid Meteor Shower*. As part of fostering community activities, a local astronomy club has offered to host a starry nighttime picnic. The DCAC (Destiny City Astronomy Club) has reserved a space in large local nature park. The event is free for anyone in Destiny City to attend. The astronomy club will be supplying some telescopes and few treats, but it’s BYOB – Bring Your Own Blanket. It might just be the perfect opportunity for another romantic date, family activity, or just to meet your fellow space nerds. * This particular celestial event is purely fictional, though the name of the meteor shower is real.Interested? NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! The DCAD is hosting a nighttime picnic for the Destiny City Community! It’s hosted at a local nature park. Members of the DCAC and regular citizens alike are flocking to the park, blankets in tow, to watch the Aurigid Meteor Shower, and to chow down on some hot dogs. NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! The Aurigid Meteor Shower has started up! Destiny City’s Sky is ablaze with those speckles of light zooming across the night sky. There’s no more magical time then now to wish upon a star! No matter where you are in the city you’re likely able to see it , but there’s no better view that from the nature park where the DCAC club is hosting their picnic. ***** The Shower Picnic ORP is going to be extended past the weekend! NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH! A meteor has crashed in a local nature park! OH MY! And if that wasn’t enough, it seems that the local population in Destiny City is falling ill. A flu epidemic is sweeping the city! The infection seems to have begun with some of those who were at the park during the meteor shower, but it’s spreading quickly! Doctor’s offices are over run with patients and many business are barely keeping open with the lack of staff. It seems like half the population of the city has fallen ill! ********** All Senshi (Chaos and Order) and Civilians characters that were at the meteor shower picnic are now infected, and will be for roughly under 2 weeks. Interacting with these characters will expose you to the disease. When creating new RPs with an infected characters please label them as FLU-R, B, or S. Roll For Infection Uninfected civilians should roll a 4 sided dice to determine if they will also be infected, odds are yes, evens no. You may opt to be automatically infected. All senshi interacting with infected characters are automatically infected. If infected, please roll a 10-sided dice to determine the beginning severity of your infection. You may increase the severity over time. 1-2 Nothing but some boirng ol’ sniffles. Still gross. 3-5 Sneezing, runny nose that accompanied by mild headaches or chills/fever. Not enough to stop you from going out. 6-7 Fever and generic aches and pains. Sniffles are pretty common too. Sick enough that you’ll consider calling in sick for work/school might still go to the grocery store on your own. 8-9 Upset stomachs seem to be the bane of your existence, your temperature is high and can’t seem to stop sweating. Definitely won’t feel like going much of anywhere. 10- Unlucky you, you’re the worst of them all and can barely even get out of bed. (All of the above, more or less). The virus will continue to spread be present until a cure is found... Negaverse Agents, Knights and Guardian Cats are strangely immune to the disease. How come? It’s an ancient mystery that remains to be unsolved, but perhaps it’s just that their magical alignments repulse the energy-hungry virus. In the coming days to weeks, the Negaverse might just have their way with Destiny City with many senshi falling ill. Knights will have to step up their game to keep the city safe. Senshis Sneeze As if this wasn't enough, all senshi will find that if sneeze while powered up, it will automatically set off one uncontrolled use of their lowest ranked power. Powering up might be dangerous, as sneezing could cause them to run out of energy quite quickly... To sneeze in powered form, roll a 1-4 sided dice. Odds will be a sneeze, Evens not. You cannot set off more uses of your power than you are normally allowed to use. Using/sneezing your powers will drain you just as much if not a little more than normal.

You could have sworn that you heard one utter the phrase "braaaiiiiins" at least once. They're going after the city and putting citizens in danger and in need of rescue. They are even not following commands of their Negaverse agent! Perhaps it is just the Halloween spirit, but there's certainly something strange in the neighborhood. So who you gonna call? What are you going to do about it?
