Say, I'm starting up a Mecha RP this month if you wanna join, it's got the threads for the RPCs and the discussion of the RP in general in the OOC Subforum and I'm still looking for more people to join. Planning on starting it as soon as there are 5 people or 8 RPCs, whichever comes first.

Thinking bout taking out the term Armored Core and just going with Mobile Suit. The RP is gonna be more centered around Mobile suits, intergalactic war and politics, and cat people dealing sketchy shrooms than anything else. Should be rather interesting.

We had some serious WLAN issues for two days on January 1 and 2, 2013. Internet access was fine, but that was it. Didn't help that there were more wireless APs (devices) than previously, around eight at once! gonk It was fixed on January 3, 2013.

In other news, my old website is going to turn ten this year. It only went online a few months after Gaia Online did, on May 22, 2003. [The same day I got my first WinXP desktop, an eMachines T1360.] Missed my five-year run for that site, but yeah. lol [For some reason, I thought it ran for eight years. That was how long it had been on a home server setup!]
That site first started on Geocities in 2003, then in December 2005 it became a site run on a home server on an old Inspiron 1100 laptop, mostly as an experiment. From there, it went through four more computers then finally, an actual server setup. That was in August 2011. The server list as followed:
Dell Inspiron 1100 [The 6th PC] - December 2005 - June 2007 (OS restoration)
Dell Optiplex GX1 [The 8th PC] - June 2007 - July 2007 (HDD corruption)
Dell Inspiron 8100 [RealDeal, AmiSaphLinux Prototype 1] - August 2007 - March 2009 (dying HDD)
Dell Dimension 8200 [RealDealv2] - March 2009 - March 2010 (migration, then dying HDD in May 2010 or 2011?)
eMachines T1360 [The5thPC, AmiSaphLinux Prototype 2] - March 2010 - August 2011 (migration)
Custom Server [AmiSaphLinux Final v1] - August 2011 - Present
My site still keeps that classic #000080 (dark blue) background, white text, green unvisited links, and yellow visited links. Active links were red, but are largely useless nowadays, especially in newer browsers. It also still holds the centering that was present in the Geocities site era. The only difference is that the HTML is a lot cleaner.
Today, the main section holds information about a few '90s vintage and some 2000s motherboards, some computers, a page regarding the Super Shinobi beta for the Sega Smash Pack, and a formerly popular section, Gaia Threads That Fail, amongst other things, e.g. very obscure files. The site needs heavy organization. The Incoming [1998 PC game] section is largely non-existent, as the only things there are a placeholder page, music, and CD images.
The FTP section is temporarily offline, but will switch it on before the anniversary.
The Inspiron 8100 is now an email server, now temporarily offline as well.

I got into Towns, went into that stream I mentioned, got asked to do a couple of things by my folks, came back to find the stream done, saw your thread, and replied to that.
