Regardless, she had trained Nightshade well enough to handle all possible type matchups. In fact, against a rock type she had a better advantage than against a water type. She watched as her houndoom was pummeled with rocks, but she didn't look the least bit worried. "Iron tail." Azalea commanded once the dust of the rock throw cleared, and Damien lunged for Pooka, long tail lashing out at her. It was a OHKO, but Nightshade was still pretty worse for the wear.

Okay, but you know the event isn't restricted to a location, right? You can encounter the fossil pokemon anywhere, so you can have him just battle them here smile I was thinking of having Azalea do that some herself to train up her team.

Azalea had been hoping Nightshade would just be able to rest and recover his lost health, but unfortunately the luxio Alejandro sent out next was just too quick, and a well prepared strategy meant nothing if they weren't fast enough to put it in place. "Tch." Azalea couldn't help the light noise of annoyance, but it was fine. "Lavender, you feel like taking over?" Azalea suggested as she recalled Nightshade. Not that the gastly had a choice, but when Azalea glanced over her shoulder, the ghost was gone, and suddenly reappeared behind the luxio grinning and attempting to startle him by sticking her tongue out and making a creepy face before laughing heartily at her prank and returning to Azalea's side.

Azalea snorted as Lavender successfully managed to literally scare sparks out of the feline. It really was a amateur prank, but... "Well it worked. If it ain't broke, don't fix it yo." Azalea pointed out with a lazy smile. Unfortunately, they wouldn't be facing the luxio, but rather an alolan persian which spelled trouble with a capital T. It was surprising to see an Alolan pokemon here though. Normally tourists from Kanto took their variants to Alola, not the other way around. "Hey, only I'm allowed to call her gas wad." Azalea insisted, though she didn't seem too ruffled about it actually. Regardless, it took little effort from the larger feline to knock Lavender out with a bite attack.
Azalea still didn't look phased though. Not because she had any confidence she would win–her loss had been assured the moment Damien was knocked out–but rather, she didn't care. The point here had never been to get his box, or even to win, really. She just wanted to show her hatchling what battles were like. "Raf, you're up." Azalea suggested, nudging the snoozing bulbasaur with her foot. Rafflesia blinked and yawned, trudging over towards the persian. After this, she'd probably call the match since Rafflesia was the only possible contender, and a three on three was pretty standard. Plus, she didn't feel like relying on more of her well trained pokemon given that she was just trying to give her new ones more experience, and it'd probably be bad to send the remaining three out when they were still so weak.

Azalea made a small noise of amusement as Alejandro decided to be generous and not use–what Azalea assumed to be, anyways–a fire type against Rafflesia. "Am I?" Azalea tilted her head, as if this was news to her, and gave a thoughtful look. "Huh... Yeah, I guess I am." She agreed casually, scratching her cheek. Maybe she should have switched her team up before hand, but that required more effort than she was willing to put into this encounter, given what her real goals were.
If he felt like giving her an advantage though, well, she wasn't going to waste it. Rafflesia looked up at Azalea expectantly as Alejandro commanded his persian to bite her, and Azalea nodded, as if giving her permission. "Bullllbaaa...." With another yawn, Rafflesia released a large vine from her bulb, but this was no regular old, puny vine whip. The bulbasaur lashed out at the persian without moving from the spot, knocking it out in a single hit with her power whip. "Bad move, bonehead." Azalea suggested with amusement. "Ahh, well alright, I think I've had about enough of this." Azalea announced suddenly, returning Rafflesia. "You win. I forfeit." She clarified, shoving a hand in her pocket and taking on a relaxed pose. For someone who started this whole confrontation, she didn't look the least bit bothered by her loss.
"Let me guess.... Cazador's a litten, right? Or maybe a litleo." She thought she'd been sensing a theme here, what with his persian, skitty, vaporeon, and luxio. The only thing that threw her for a loop was that rockruff. Plus, given that there were only two fire type cat pokemon she knew of, it wasn't that hard to guess. "Man, I've heard of crazy cat ladies, but never a crazy cat man. You may wanna stick with that rockruff. If it weren't for the one dog in your party, your team'd be toast." She asserted with confidence.

Bulbasaur's vine whip was a surprise and he just stared as Camila fell unconscious. What the ******** was that? Did she hop it up on freaking steroids or was there another version of that move he didn't know about? Probably the latter. He returned Camila and grabbed Cazador's ball only to be stopped when she forfeited. And, then she had the audacity to say he won. That wasn't a win! That was an insult! Alejandro scowled at the girl as he returned Cazador's ball to his belt before picking up his box again. He planned to walk away because he was on the verge of punching her and he'd had enough trouble with law lately, but then she spoke up."Dogs are for people that don't have confidence or charisma. Gotta get love from something since they can't get it from another human."He'd rather have lost than win by forfeit anyway, so he wished he hadn't used Pooka.

William had his pokemon gathered out in pokemon center once they were all healed. He was grinning as he showed them the boulder badge, "we won!" There were mixed reception, but most of them was good. The mood was high and William gave them all pokepuff as celebratory treats. He sat on nearby as he watched his pokemon. Jasper was an ivysaur now. That was a surprise when he first released him from his pokeball. His battle at the gym appeared to be just what he needed to get enough experience to evolve. "You grow up so quick, Jasper. it has only been a few months since we started," he mused. They lost quite amount of time, so in truth, their training was merely a few weeks. "Saaaur," Jasper answered him while he walked back and fro, trying to get used to his bigger form. His metang floated with curiosity as he poked Jasper's flower, nearly toppling the ivysaur with his action. "Ivy! ivysaur," Jasper cried back with what seemed to be admonishment. Kaltas hadn't changed even with evolution if the way the metang waved his arms in panicked apology was any indication. Evolving had been good for his self-confidence, but he hadn't expressed any desire to battle yet and William won't force him. He would let kaltas decided when he was ready.
The peace was shattered by Amber's cry. Everyone stopped and turned to look. An odd shell pokemon was making off with stolen pokepuff with Amber hot on its trail. "What is that?" William questioned as he flipped open his pokedex. "An omanyte? and it's extinct?" well,then, that's not a pokemon you see often wandering around. "piika!?" Amber shrieked as she was buffeted with glowing sphere of rocks. "pikachuuuu" Amber countered with thundershock of her own. It succeed in stopping omanyte in its track and sparks of paralyze could be seen. Instead of attacking, the omanyte glowed red and shattering it. "Oooom," it tried to intimidate Amber. "Amber, thundershock," William ordered and caused Amber to obey without thinking. It was enough to knock the omanyte down and then the strangest thing happened. The omanyte flashed and vanished, leaving them items to collect and a message sent to William's pokegear. That contained a plea sent to trainer all over the world to knock out their runaway fossil pokemon, there was even prizes if they did. William looked to his pokemon, "What do you say we go for a hunt?"

Azalea had a sort of smug satisfaction on her face that was almost imperceptible. Almost. It was as though she was revealing just enough to make Alejandro think he'd seen something, but easy to dismiss if he called her out on it. However, she was highly amused by his reaction when she forfeited. Just seeing the annoyance on his face was a win for her. She supposed he was one of those people who took battles way too seriously, which was fine by her. All the more reason to mess with him.
"Oh, is that why you have one? Good to know." Azalea commented. "Besides, cats are too much work, and if you want to earn that attention from them so badly that you're willing to work for it, then you're more desperate than a dog lover." She suggested with a shrug, making her way back towards the pokemon center. As fun as it would be to stay here and tease the pompous cat lover, she did need to heal her team back up, and he probably did too.

It was easy to say they were going to search for this fossil pokemon, to actually find them though, William had no idea. They would end up wandering the city and take what cross their path. He had all his pokemon out, including Agate whom he held. "So which way?" he mused as he stood in front of pokemon center. "That omanyte was inside, so the other cannot be that far," William surveyed his surrounding. It was typical city street with people of all kind passing through. He spotted a few ratata and pidgey, nothing out of ordinary, and . . . well that's an odd plant, it appeared like sculpture. "is this a plant or fake?" William approached it with intent of prodding it to see if it's real or not. He didn't get to do that. The plant shook, its head swiveling toward him. "Ooookay? another weird one," he was backing off, while checking his pokedex at the same time. "Lilleep, grass and rock type," what a troublesome typing, not many of his pokemon can damage grass type reliably. Iluska could,but that rock typing meant she would also be at disadvantage. "Iluska, come here for a moment," William beckoned as he retrieved an item from his bag. There's that one item from that haunted house that will help. "Ah, here we go. Banette Bagel. Switch your mystic water with this," William handed it over and took Mystic water back. "There, Lilleep's all yours now, Iluska" he nodded, satisfied with this arrangement.
Lilleep shot out a wall of water toward Iluska the moment she stood in front of the pokemon. "Wing attack," William ordered. The ducklett shook his drenched feather, then struck the lileep with glowing wings, only for lileep's vines to ensnare her. Its mouth glowing green. "Oh! shoot. Hurry, Mirror move," that was a point blank attack and William was determined to send the attack back. The two attacks collided with both side taking damage. Iluska was unable to dodge the incoming mega drain as she hasn't recovered fast enough to dodge. The green tendril sapped her strength and empower lileep. "Stay strong,Iluska. Just one more hit. Use Wing attack," William encouraged the ducklett. Iluska mustered her energy to use wing attack one last time. She rushed lileep and delivered a well aimed slash with her wings, finally knocking the pokemon out. It, like omanyte vanished in a flash of light, leaving them their prizes to collect.

Azalea's mouth quirked up into a smirk as Alejandro continued to ignore her, or at least he tried. He wasn't very successful since he was still commenting offhandedly about his whole unsatisfying situation, revealing more and more to Azalea about the type of person he was. She could hazard a few guesses from what she'd seen so far, but didn't bother to over analyze. It was too much brain power and she preferred to reserve anything that required effort for Void and whims only.
She strode ahead to the counter once they'd entered the center, dropping Nightshade and Lavender's pokeballs on the counter. "Ah.... Back so soon?" Nurse Joy asked hesitantly, trying to maintain a cheerful and friendly expression, but it only came out as a grimace. After all, this was... What, her third trip in here? Though it was the first time she had come to heal her pokemon, which meant the nurse had to actually interact with Azalea, much to Joy's dismay. Nevertheless, she had a job to do and took the pokemon given to her when Azalea stared expectantly in response. No need to prolong this awkward engagement.
"Well this was fun. Let's do it again some time?" Azalea quipped offhandedly towards Alejandro as she retrieved her pokemon. Not that she expected a reply. At most it seemed all she would get now from this man was indirect snide remarks, and while that was humorous, it's entertainment value only lasted so long. "Though you know, I have to say... I half expected you to throw a punch by now. Guess you have more self control than I gave you credit for.... Or you're all bark and no bite. Oh wait sorry, wouldn't that be all mewl and no claws? I don't speak cat." She asked. It actually sounded like an honest question, the way she posed it. It was hard to tell sometimes, given her quirky curiosity in so many odd things.
She looked contemplative, making her way out the door, as if continuing to ponder it herself. After all, he was doing his level best to ignore her, either out of spite or annoyance. He was funny like that.
Her contemplation didn't last long though as something more interesting soon came to her attention: a boy battling prehistoric pokemon. "Huh..." Was there some kind of show going on that she didn't know about? Man... I should have packed some chips.... Azalea lamented internally before she heard a light growl and glanced over. It wasn't her stomach, rather a sheildon. "You lost er somethin' scrub?" Azalea commented. "Your friends are that way." She jerked her head towards William, but the fossil brought to life seemed stubbornly set on fighting her. "Fine, I'll just--" Hemlock would have been the best choice, since one fighting type move would crush the dino, but Iris let herself out instead. "What do you think you're doing?" Azalea asked the little chimera flatly. She wasn't supposed to be out of her ball. Nevertheless, the little poison loving dragon torched the sheildon with a heat wave and then gave a huff of smoke, causing Azalea to tilt her head with mild curiosity. "Since when could you do that?" She asked. "Chiiiii~" Her chima fluffed it's fur up in an oddly proud way. Was Iris just trying to protect her? Well Azalea supposed she had sort of saved the thing, so maybe it was showing some kind of gratitude. How strange.
