Interlude - A Writer and His Muse pt 2 (Solo) She had activated her human glamour for the afternoon. Illyria now had a mini DVD player of her own but yet there was still the draw to watch the next season of Castle on the television in which she had originally watched the first season of the show. However there were now so many more people in the apartment and Illyria was not sure if she could have the device free for a straight twenty-four hours. So either she would use her portable DVD player in order to watch what she could or have to find another method in order to take out blocks of time to watch more episodes. For the moment thought the Mauvian had the apartment to herself and thus had decided that she would watch the entirety of the first disc in the time that she had by herself. Turning on all the devices that she would need to use Illyria sighed before finding the snacks she had placed to her side before starting the first episode and immediately settled in to watch the continuing drama between Beckett and Castle. At the end of the first season the pair had been on the outs because of Castle's decision to go behind Beckett's back to dig into the case of Beckett's murdered mother.
As the first episode opened Illyria's mind was in a whirl as it looked like the fallout from that disastrous decision was continuing. Beckett clearly didn't trust Castle anymore and even the case in which they caught was not helping at all. The snark in the opening scene had Illyria fighting to hold back a burst of laughter. It looked like there was still chemistry between the two leads but also as the scene progressed that there were other pairings starting to form. The Mauvian loved the general chaos that was happening in the lives of all the characters. The Mauvian glanced around as Orah's cat glanced at her from the entrance to the kitchen before the white cat decided to grace the living room with her presence. Illyria's eyes tracked Lola's path before she chose to ignore the other cat for now. Lola was warming up to her continued presence in Orah's world but there was still a lot of work in order for a true friendship to form between the two. It was sort of like the scenario in which Becket and Castle were currently dealing with although the latter was trying way too hard to get back into Beckett's good graces. If the author would simply take the time to chill, and maybe think about what it was he had done wrong then maybe he would get somewhere. But he had to keep insisting that he had done the right thing because a new sort of breakthrough had been made. She shook her head as the episode shifted to a point where it looked like breaks were being made in the case but of course there was still danger to overcome. Even as Beckett stormed in, undercover in a way, to save Castle's a** from a gun-toting Russian poker player did she give a mental cheer. At least that case was solved. Her attention shifted to the sound of a key being inserted into the apartment's door and she hastily urged the episode to end before whomever it was entering entered.
Just wait one more minute, Illyria thought before she turned back to the screen. Oh, Castle was apologizing? Illyria's fingers tightened on the remote that lay beside her before she turned the episode off just as it ended with Beckett taking Castle back as her partner. It looked like, for the moment, things were back on track for a banger of a season. Good..(624 words)

Interlude - A Writer and His Muse ... on hold (Solo) Illyria had a secret. One that she hadn't bothered to tell anyone else in the apartment. It wasn't a really big secret ... or was it? She was hopelessly addicted to a certain television show that she couldn't get enough of.
The Mauvian sighed happily as she booted up her tablet that she had recently 'saved' in order to shy away from having to wait longer than necessary to keep up with her favorite show of all time. She had managed to finish the first season of Castle due to the fact that it was only ten episodes but when it came to the second season of the show, there had been a total of twenty-four episodes and even with the period of time that the library had allowed the loan to be for, the small feline had not been able to finish the second season. She was going to remedy that today. Setting up the tablet was essentially child's play and it was with a renewed sense of purpose that the Google Play store was opened and Illyria began to search for the Streaming Service that she had researched as carrying the show she wanted to finish the most. The downside was that if she kept the subscription, she'd have to find a way to pay for it. Shaking her head and eyeing the install option Illyria grimaced and hit the button. She'd find a way to make this work.
Once the app was installed on the tablet the Mauvian began to set up her personal account and paused before looking over the various plans and what they cost. This was the only downside to her plan. If she couldn't find a way to bring in some income then her subscription wouldn't last very long. She wanted to do this all on her own. It wouldn't be fair if she had to ask Orah to fund something that she really wanted for her own use. It wouldn't have been fair. There was nothing more that Illyria wanted than to be self-sufficient when it came to her own spending projects. There could be little projects that she could perform and charge a small fee in return. The fees would then be turned around and funnelled into the costs of her subscription.
Fooling around with her new account Illyria grimaced. Until there was a balance paid it looked like she wouldn't be able to watch anything. The Mauvian exited out of the service before stashing the tablet underneath her favorite blanket in the space that Orah had created for her before padding softly around the area. There was nothing more that she could do in this instance. She needed money but had no way, at the moment, to get it: at least not legally. Exiting Orah's room the Mauvian paced a few times in the hallway before making her way to the balcony doors in order to lay outside. The day was bright and sunny and it would be nice just to lie out on the patio. Perhaps she could even begin to brainstorm how it was that she'd be able to generate income in a timely manner. She'd have to limit service hours to match her three hour blocks unless she always worked on things in the Mauvian HQ building. If she worked there, she'd be able to spend as much time working with her hands until the project was done. It was the kernel of a plan that would germinate over time and perhaps, just perhaps, it would bear fruit in the long run.
