Betrayal By Responsibility Participants: Sahra, Chloe, Anna, Edward, Adonai “Oh my god.” Sahra hissed to herself. In the far background cries, whines, and everything in between rang through halls from the nursery. “When is Yin going to give them what they want!?” Her head was pounding with pain, as she had just taken some aspirin twenty minutes before. She wondered how many more octaves the children could achieve? They must be breaking some kind of world record; if she only had a way to record it she’d be rich.
“You’ve all achieved something not humanly possible.” Sighing, the cheetah pushed away a thick text book and a notebook, nearly throwing her pen on the floor out of frustration. Not with the kids mind you, but with Mabyn. “She’s going to get it, if I ever find her.” She envied Ephrem right now, he was out doing something involving melee with Aja. Something that wouldn’t do her much good! Although she did stop to wonder where they had gone...
But then a one of the bundles of joy screamed bloody murder. So much for getting her homework done before class today! Sometimes she really hated the morning. And Yin, where could that cat had gone off to? She was being paid to babysit neighborhood children; shouldn’t she actually be doing that? “I’m coming guys!” The spotted feline hoped that if she shouted ahead, they might hear her voice and calm down a bit. But it only made them louder! “FEED ME.” Chloe growled, holding her arms up in the air. She was the only out of the three that could speak any words, and even the few she could say were limited. And very annoying. “FEED LOEEEEE.”
She was a small girl, about two, with red hair and blue eyes—she oddly reminded her of Asryane. Anna and Edward were twins from next door, both adorable little blondes with green eyes that were normally very quiet and well behaved. They were only a few months younger than Chloe, but neither had yet spoken a word. Their cries began to subside very quickly, just as Sahra stepped into the room.
“Okay, okay!” The cat mumbled, reaching out to take Chloe out of an enclosed play area. Anna and Edward quickly fumbled over one another to reach for Sahra, as well. Chloe shot off toward the kitchen, with Sahra quickly on her heels after she scooped up the blonde twins. What was she supposed to make for three young relatively human children? She herself usually just ate some shape or form of meat, sometimes raw, sometimes cooked, when she was hungry and Yin wasn’t around. Yin always did all the cooking, not that she didn’t know how to use a stove or read directions, but what did a two year old her counterparts like to eat? “What do you guys um, want to eat?” Her voice was soft, and took on am embarrassed tone. Sahra didn’t expect them to answer, she was simply thinking aloud. Sort of like what you did when you talked to the television or to your fish when you were angry.
“CHASE.” Chloe said gleefully, yanking at the fridge door, “LEM-dAr.” What was that supposed to mean? She couldn’t understand a thing the girl was trying to tell her. But she seemed pretty eager to get the fridge door open, maybe if she opened it for her, she could show her. But knowing the destructive girl she’d probably pull everything out. “Oh well.” The cheetah mumbled aloud, “Yin can clean it up when she comes back.” So she opened up the fridge wide, gaining a wide grin from Chloe. Immediately the girl yanked out all the drawers, pushing through produce and package meat, as if looking for something. “CHASE!!!!!” She yelled triumphantly, holding out a bag of cheese. “LEM-dAr.” She proceeded to point to a large pitcher of lemonade.
Eyes widening, Sahra understood. “Grilled cheese and lemonade?” She asked quixotically. What a strange combination! But if it’s what the girl wanted, what would keep her happy and make her quiet, then she’d do just about anything at this point. “Okay Chloe. What about you two?” Peering down, she locked eyes with Anna, Edward was to busy playing with the fridge door, swinging it back and forth, giggling oddly as it squeaked and groaned from it’s torture. They seemed like they’d be content with almost anything. “Okay so—”
“You really should feed them something more nutritional, with a little less sugar.” From beyond the dining room steps sounded, echoing through the downstairs in a creepy sort of prelude to what was coming. “But then again, Mabyn always keeps sugar reduced lemonade around. Not that the kids would know the difference.” She laughed, stepping into the kitchen; almost drunkenly she found her way to the bar and sat atop a stool that was pulled out. “How about some carrots? I know Chloe likes those.” In the foreground a happy squeal sounded, adding truth to the statement. The little red-head named Chloe reached into the fridge and yanked out a bag of mini-carrots, ripped open the bag and shoved a handful in her mouth. The mysterious woman laughed, her hair covered by a hood from her sweatshirt, face cast in shadow.
“What do you want, Adonai?” Sahra groaned, setting the twins on in two highchairs on the far wall. Chloe climbed up onto a bar chair and sat next to Adonai, grinning at the woman. She must have enjoyed her suggestion, chomping away at some carrots. Sahra pulled some more from the fridge, along with some pre-cut apple slices and set a handful or two on each highchair. Anna and Edward reached out and took the grub into their already sticky fingers and shoved it in their own faces. Wasn’t that interesting? “Okay.” She sighed, “Grilled cheese.” If she ever had kids of her own, well, she didn’t think she ever would! Kids were so noisy, and so much trouble. But then again, they were a lot of fun to have around, too. She had been spending a lot of time with Anna and Edward the past few days, and she really enjoyed their company. Chloe on the other hand, well, she was only here two days a week, and those days Sahra could definitely live without. It had to be the face; it was just too much like Asryane’s! Spitefully, she pulled out a pan and switched the stove on to preheat the metal contraption. “Can we devise a master plan to severely annoy Yin?”
Pulling out three glasses, she reached back into the fridge and pulled out the pitcher of lemonade. Pouring carefully small amounts, she gave each child a cup, knowing Chloe was far too fond of the beverage to waste it, and the twins far too well behaved to throw it. All three were strangely talented at drinking from cups. She had always thought kids this age weren’t capable of that. But she was thankful. Well trained monsters!
“How about we hide all her favorite books and put super glue in her shoes? And draw all over her with quick drying white-out.” Adonai laughed, “That would take her forever to get out of her fur. It’d be amusing, and wouldn’t hurt her. I’d say nail polish, but she had an allergic reaction to it last time I used it on her.” With a wicked smile, fangs and all, the strange serpentine woman reached out and snatched up a carrot out of Chloe’s bag full, and ate it gracefully. “Here, I’ll help you. That way we can set up Yin’s torture before she appears out of nowhere again.”
They both laughed. Anna, Chloe, and Edward all joyfully joined in, faces ecstatic. At least it didn’t take much to please a child. Besides, it would be fun getting Yin back—she even had a legitimate reason to do it. But that didn’t change her sour mood. Could you really blame her?

The Infinite Struggle Participants: Sahra, Adonai, Mew “Now Sahra!” Adonai braced herself for whatever force the cheetah could bring upon her. She knew it wasn’t much, at least not compared to what she was used to, but she wasn’t about to let the girl know that. Even though she was talented at long-distance combat, and perfectly fit for it, it would do her some good to know melee in case the need ever arose for her to fend someone off. You couldn’t always run! Not to mention you didn’t always have the length advantage you needed from a bow, which was why she worked with her whip.
It gave her a distinct advantage in melee or long-distance, although swinging it around close up wasn’t always easy. She had just introduced the idea of using a chain in place of a metal braided bow. If she had to, she could trip up or choke someone if they got a hold of her. Plus, if she could learn the aerodynamics correctly, it could inflict a lot more damage than a piece of braided metal. Adonai would have to wait and see how the girl would do. “Angle it just a little more to the left! Come on girl, I know you don’t have much in means of muscle, but you have more than that. USE IT!” Darting toward the cheetah, she wanted to put her in a position that forced her to defend herself.
And she did. As Adonai lashed toward her, Sahra pulled up the middle section of the chain, and it landed directly in her teacher’s face. Whoops. “AhhHH! Sorry Adonai!” Backing off quickly, stealthily she placed herself strategically several feet, out of leaping distance of the woman. “Um, well, I guess at least I’m doing better now...maybe I should just go work on my aim...”
Coming to a quick and complete stop, Adonai’s hand flew up to her face. It had hurt, but luckily enough it hadn’t broken any skin—the chain had impacted directly across the lower portion of her face, leaving a tomato-red chain line. That would surely be a bruise in the morning, a very funny looking one, at that. One more thing for Mew to make fun of her about! “It’s fine Sahra! Stop apologizing, you did what you were told, and did it not too poorly. No archery today, I want you to focus on this! Now come on, you need to get the angles right.”
“Fine, then.” Sahra hissed, “See if I care when you trip again and bruise up your entire face.” For a master fighter, sometimes Adonai made herself seem not so master-like. She was clumsy at times, and never really seemed to put to much effort into what she was doing. Then again, if she was as good as her mother had said, then she probably didn’t need to put any effort into what she was doing—if she did, she would probably be dead meat right now! Or so logic would suggest, if Adonai was trying not to be too good. Such a funny thought!
But before she could pull her chain up and around again, something came up behind her, and caught her shoulders forcefully. “Eeeck!” Her hands shot up, fingers tensed, claws moving directly to the hands that gripped her shoulders. “Let me GO!” The spotted feline dug into the person’s hands, and after a moan radiated, and she was released, she shot off in the opposite direction, toward where Adonai still stood. Pulling her chain up and around in a defensive posture, she clenched it tightly, ready to strike. “Who...”
“You’re starting to get it.” Mew sighed, whipping her bloodied hands against the sides of her jeans. “Come on, you’re going to do some hands on with me.” A level voice, void of emotion, Mew was quick to make her demands and motives clear—she was not in a good mood.
“Hmph. Alright, we’ll work on this more later. I’m not going anywhere, so go practice some things with your mother.” Adonai couldn’t admit it, but she was jealous. She’d rather be working with the girl instead of her mother. It may have just been a complex, but Mew and Adonai had always been competing for who was better at what. In her mind fighting, or at least instructing such ordeals fell under her category. And she didn’t feel comfortable with anyone else teaching her student—not even the student’s mother! But Mew was in a bad mood, so she wasn’t so sure it was an entirely great idea. “Be easy on her Mew.” She guessed she would simply have to stay and watch in case matters got out of hand.
Sahra let the chain clink to the ground. But before she could collect her thoughts and actually pay attention to her mother, Mew was physically on her, arms tangled around her midsection, teeth barred and growling. “Defend yourself!” She shouted. Sahra didn’t exactly know what to do, she twisted, and contorted her body in ways she knew no one probably could. Flexibility and thin limbs came in useful sometimes! But it did no good; Mew’s claws were dug into her tight clothing, and poking at her skin through her fur. “Ow, jeez Mom!” She reached down and dug her own fingertips into the woman’s hands yet again, but this time her mother did not even flinch. Picking up her free leg, she made a faulty attempt to trip her up, sort of like a hunting cheetah would to its prey in the wild. It worked.
Mew lost her balance and fumbled for a moment, but a moment was all Sahra needed to race away. But before she could get far Mew caught hold of her arm, and shoved her down. “Whhaa?” Sahra huffed, nearly loosing her breath. She was still tired out from working all morning and afternoon with Adonai and her new brilliant idea, the chain. Not even stopping to eat, or rest for a bit, she was exhausted, and now her mother was coming after her. Why was she? And with such force? “Stopppp!” She hissed, pushing at the woman’s pale skin. “I’m too tired for this, I need a break.”
Mew snarled, “There are no breaks in a fight, Sahra, defend yourself!” But the cheetah was on the ground, and could not do anything of the sort. The leopardess had her pinned, how was she supposed to get out of that? “Stop IT Ma, you’re not being very nice! This isn’t a battle, it’s a teaching lesson. So start acting like a teacher and be an adult.” The cheetah resulted to biting down onto the woman’s arm, not quite hard enough to break skin. Unlike her mother, she cared about not hurting someone she perceived, for the moment, to care about.
Before much else could happen, in a flash, Adonai shot behind Mew and grabbed both of her arms, yanking her backward with might that Sahra didn’t know Adonai was capable of. “Enough Mew.” Her lips were curled back over her teeth in warning. She gave a strong shove against the leopardess, and stood between her, and her daughter. “You need to go calm down somewhere.” She hissed, “Sahra, you need to go inside, and stay inside. Go eat and keep yourself busy for a while. We’ll work more, later.”
For once Sahra didn’t stop to ask any questions, or even to ponder about the possible causes of the situation. Her mother was in one of her terribly aggressive moods, which hardly ever happened. Something bad must be going on to provoke so much from a normally exceptionally serene woman. The feline knew her mother wouldn’t let up on her if she stayed, so she really didn’t need to stay and find out! Jumping up sheepily, she skittered inside without another word. Her stomach was calling to the fridge!
“How could you act that way Mew? You don’t have to teach so forcefully. She’ll learn in time.” But Adonai had an idea why Mew was acting like she was, because she thought just the opposite. Or she had reason to know the opposite. “Is something going on we should all know about?” She looked down upon the woman questionably, eyes narrowing.
“No.” Mew replied, jumping to her feet and whisking away, like a feather on the wind.
Adonai shook her head, watching Mew as she disappeared into the alleyways beyond their backyard. She could only assume and watch as things played out. Hopefully Mew wouldn’t be in such a bad mood whenever she returned.

Shattering Paradox Participants: Sahra, Ephrem, Adonai “So what exactly happened, then?” Ephrem was somewhat lost as to why Sahra had been so upset. Not to mention everyone who would tell him, which was Aja and Adonai, either didn’t know themselves, or weren’t around. Aja had been as clueless as he was, since most of it had taken place when the two of them were out, Aja working on melee fighting with Ephrem. He wouldn’t make another mistake and go practice away from home again! He didn’t care what Aja said about the possibilities of scaring people, getting the police involved, or ruining the house. He just needed to stay within hearing distance of major chaos involving his partner!
“Mew pushed Sahra way to hard the other day and she sort of snapped under the weight, after the shock wore off, anyways. I think everything is just starting to compile and squash her, she just needs some space and a little time to think things over.” Adonai sighed; the girl was getting put under to much pressure. Everyone expected her to act like a mature adult when was in fact still only a child. “I don’t know how her mother can expect her to simply forgive and forget. I know the girl is kind hearted, and often forgiving, but I think this has gone way over the limit even for her.” She didn’t blame the feline for acting the way she had—she had locked everyone, even Ephrem out of her room since yesterday morning after she came home from mysteriously disappearing off to somewhere in Durem with an envelope in hand. Probably to the post office, she could only imagine.
“Well, she’s going to open the door.” He grumbled, still zealous and annoyed from his previous attempts to get through the door. He had even made an attempt to get on the roof and get in through the window, but that didn’t end to well. There was now a large hole in the roofing leading down into the western attic. Well, it’d make some raccoon or squirrel happy! Maybe even a felon, oh well, they had a new skylight!
“Don’t push her to hard Re; she needs a break, even from you sometimes.” But that was just the thing, the girl and the dragon had always been together, never apart, even when the rarity occurred and Sahra got upset over something. She had gotten annoyed with him only once in the past and it subsided when she threw a pillow in his face. But then again, she was different now. Much more assertive and easily angered than before, the easy-going lightness to the girl had all but disappeared in the months since the move. It was probably for her own good, being more focused on life and a little more serious about her future might be good for the girl.
Easy enough for her to say, that wasn’t her partner sitting alone in a room up there! Re knew how much the cat enjoyed being alone sometimes, much like he did. But this was still very unlike her, even the new her. When she was still in shock, and even when she was angry after the move he had always been with her. Why lock him out now? “I am going to go try, again.” He mumbled. Pushing himself up the stairwell, he was thankful to Adonai for suggesting to Mew that they have a larger main staircase than in their previous home. There it had been almost too small for him to fit through, and he had to start sleeping downstairs instead of up with Sahra. That didn’t go over to well for any party involved.
“SRRA!” He screamed, pounding against the door with the top of his cranium. “Open the DOOR. Before I crash it down and you have no more privacy!” If he were a teenager, he knew that would irk him. God, it’d irk him even now. Doors were a precious thing, keeping Mabyn out, and Sahra in! “Come on Srra, I am tired. I just want to sleep.” He had made an attempt to sleep downstairs, but just as before, he found it was impossible to stop thinking and actually fall asleep. He needed the cheetah for that.
“Re can’t you go away for a little longer? I am trying to finish this.” She was reading a book, imagining a world before her. She hadn’t felt like going up on the roof to read, so instead, she had locked herself in her room to sink away into a lala land were things weren’t, well, home. She shifted her gaze back to the words on the page, and began to read again, “...so while I walked...” The feline read aloud, trying to drown out her partner’s voice.
But Re had had enough of her hormonal rage, as Mabyn would say. Pulling back and flexing, he pulled himself tightly together, like a spring, feeling the force building in his joints. “We’ll see about that...” He grumbled to himself, turning down his head so the top of his skull was in line with the door.
SMAASSHH.
The sound echoed through the house, shaking the framework. Even from down below Adonai squeaked in surprise, and a dish shattered from the kitchen where Mabyn had dropped it. It was probably a good thing that Mew wasn’t home right now; in her anger she might actually skin him, as Mabyn would surely threaten to do when after she cleaned up all the shards from whatever she dropped. “Hello!” He said with a grin, splinters sticking out from his head like a crazy hairdo after riding a rollercoaster. Oddly enough because of his this hide he couldn’t even feel the sharp things.
Sahra blinked, shock filling her eyes. Something she wouldn’t have expected him to do, but wow. She couldn’t help but be amazed by the force! After all, the door was in shambles all over the floor. “I’m not cleaning that up...” The spotted feline eyed the lindworm for a moment, speculating what he might do next. But to her amazement, he simply came to her, lied down, pushing his head up against her side, and immediately fell asleep. “Wow.” What a night. She guessed she deserved it, though, for locking him out...next time she would just go up on the roof with her book and a pillow. So much easier!
Adonai peeked into the room, looking around, then doing a look over of the pair. “Uh-oh...” She spat, listening to pounding footsteps and random shrieking coming up the opposite stairs (there’s two stairways to their second floor). “Here comes Mabyn, RUN.”
Good advice!

Helpless Scribbling Participants: Sahra “Sorry about this Frank!” Holding down her journal, Sahra quickly ripped a page out, being careful to do it quickly. In doing so, she left a third of the page still attached to the journal. “Well, at least I didn’t take it all!” She said jokingly, with a quick smile. She picked up her orange ink pen, and began to scratch away desperately at the paper.
She thought was about as good as it was going to get at this current moment. All Sahra wanted to do was get the stupid thing in the mail and quickly as possible. This would make her feel a lot better about things, now maybe she could concentrate a little more and not have Gabby-on-the-brain all the time. “Hopefully it works.” She mumbled while addressing the envelope, carefully writing the return address and mailing address. This letter, as quick and delirious as it sounded, seemed, and looked, really just needed to get to get to her sister. Oh how she hated her mother for making them move!
Now off to the post office! No mail boxes for this letter, it was going directly to the heart. Now if only she could remember where in Durem the post office was, exactly...

What Happened To Discipline? Participants: Sahra, Aja Pulling herself away from her bed, Sahra quietly twisted back around to be entirely sure that Ephrem was still lying sound asleep. His eyes were closed tightly, and he was coiled in a wide circle which almost reminded her of a rolled up hose. Choking down a snicker, she pulled on a zip-up sweat shirt over a tank top, pulling her boots over the legs of a pair of very faded, beat up jeans. Ever since she was a child Sahra had been consistently sneaking out of the house—but never at night. Sure she and Gaby snuck out together to play at Marisolle when it was raining, or after dinner when it “was time to stay inside” but still light enough out to navigate the deep forest effectively.
Craning her neck, she peered quickly at her alarm clock—12:37 A.M., but it seemed later than that. Or earlier, technically, she guessed. What had possessed her to leave and go out so late at night? Maybe the curiosity of seeing Durem late at night, seeing the difference of the crowd that was out at night (she’d have to be careful!). Or maybe just the idea of getting away from the family in their current crisis and going out alone was appealing. By nature cheetahs weren’t nocturnal, but rather diurnal, since hunting at night would put them at great risk of being in competition with vivacious predators such as lions and hyenas. But it didn’t matter much, she wasn’t tired and she wanted something to do. Quietly he tiptoed out of her room, and down the hall way, but before she could get to far down the stairs, something in the shadows caught her eye. She stopped dead in her tracks.
“Where are you going off to at this time of night?” A white form came out from the shadows, stalking the girl as she attempted an escape in secrecy. His eyes were filled with annoyance, but his features didn’t suggest anything near anger. Maybe this was a long past event, simply disbelief in someone who was not in the immediate area—that seemed logical enough, considering the current situation with Mew.
Sahra blinked, and then sighed. How could she always get caught? It didn’t seem possible; she just had all the luck. “Well um, I’m not sure...uh, I don’t know what you’re talking about?” She laughed nervously, then edged away from the white wolf. She didn’t know how Aja would take it, but she knew her mother would take it out on her in combat training if she found out. Great, all she needed, more of that.
“Well, if you where going somewhere, I would be angry.” He stated in a harsh tone, “Because you didn’t invite me along! Seriously Sah, didn’t we teach you more manners than that?” Aja felt genuinely offended, but his voice was tinged more readily with a purely joking nature rather than simple zealous anger. “So how about we go out, anyways? The Durem streets are gorgeous at night, and if you’re going to make a norm of this I want to teach you who and where to stay away from so at least you’re safe when you go out.” He chuckled, “The night life is the best life, trust me! Make sure to keep a dagger on you, though.”
What the heck? Was Aja actually saying he didn’t mind her going at night? But it had always been such a sin to her mother! What a difference between the two, Mew was generally not very strict, but Aja didn’t have a strict bone in his body. She’d have to be careful with that, though; it might come back and bite her in the rear end. “Okay, that’s an agreement, I guess. I have a pretty good idea of that, already, though...but I guess it could be fun to have you with me. What do you usually do when you go out?”
Aja grinned, “Clubs, but you’re too young for that right now. When you get a bit older! For now we’ll stick to roaming cemeteries, harassing dogs, and stealing meat from the butcher.”
“Eh?” And people thought she was weird, Aja truly was a canine at heart!

Behind the Mask Participants: Adonai, Ephrem, Sahra “She needs some sense knocked into her Adonai, I tell you.” A rumble erupted from the Lindworm’s throat as he spoke, and he clenched his teeth together in frustration. “And Aja isn’t helping. He needs to stop encouraging her nocturnal behavior.” Ephrem sighed, shaking his head miserably. “I don’t know, maybe I’m just jealous.” It was a logical thought; he was used to Sahra dragging him along for the ride in literally everything she did. The change wasn’t sudden; he had seen it coming after the move. He should have known it would only be a matter of time before the hormones kicked in!
“She’ll come around, Re. Besides, you know she’s only leaving you out because she doesn’t want to wake you up at night, out of compassion.” The dragon needed to stop letting his emotions make the better of him. His common sense seemed to be dwindling. But he had a point, Sahra was getting out of hand, and Aja wasn’t combating her behavior for her own good. Her going out at night left her no time for sleep—she had classes during the day and often went out to the arcade with Re. Maybe if she could introduce more fun and meaningful activities to do during the day Sahra would stop sneaking out at night. The girl needed some sense knocked into her, though. She needed to stop mopping, putting herself at risk, and live her life responsibly. “I’ll talk to her, but I don’t know how much good I can do.”
Ephrem thrashed his tale, hitting it against the wall of the entryway of their home as he rolled his eyes. “Well you know her; she’ll still keep doing it. And with Mew somewhere again, Aja won’t argue. He’ll have someone to go out at night with.” Re sighed under his breath, “I just hope that the prowling about at night won’t get her into to much trouble. But knowing her, she’ll manage something...” Just the other night she and Aja had gone out, and only the gods knew what happened. “I’ll leave it to you, then, Adonai. I’m not complaining, you know. I’m just worried.”
“I know Re, I understand. But you have to bear with her through her teenage years. They’re coming for you, too—hormonal levels that tear off the roof! So watch and learn.” She knew he would, the dragon was always observing society and using his new found knowledge to defeat problems and change himself for the better. Just within the past year Ephrem had become much less aggressive and much more open to meeting new individuals. “You’re doing well Re.” His persistence, however, might pose a problem. “Where is Sah right now?”
“Up in her room reading, I think.” He replied, begrudgingly. “Have fun getting and keeping her attention, she’s reading Macbeth.” The girl had gotten into reading Shakespeare. Already she had read several of the author and playwrights pieces; as of late she’d been more sucked into her book worlds than reality. They hadn’t gone out during the day besides going to D-Corp for classes for almost three days now.
“Alright.” Side stepping toward the stairwell, she gave a quick wave to Ephrem to end their conservation. Tip-toeing up the steps, she made her way to Sahra’s door and pounded angrily. “Sahra, come out, please.” From beyond the door’s wooden barrier, one she could easily shatter (though she didn’t want to face Mabyn, or have to replace the door), she heard a book slam shut as feet pounded unsteadily against the ground as the girl rose.
The door swung open widely. “Adonai?” The feline chided, hiding her book behind her back. “What’s going on?” Her eyes were wide, and she felt as if she were in shock.
“We need to have a talk, Sahra. This needs to stop.” Adonai’s voice was firm, her eyes narrowed in a semi-frightening glance. “You really need to stop mopping and get on with it already. Stuff happens, it’s life, and sometimes you can’t change or even have a hand in decision’s that will change the course of your life. You can only accept and learn from these experiences—don’t dwell or take it out on anyone else.”
Sahra was initially confused; she wasn’t quite sure why Adonai was having this sort of talk with her. What had she done wrong to provoke such a speech? Or was it one of those talks you just got? Or was their actually a situation? “Wait...I am doing...what’s going on?” She asked, running through the strange serpent woman’s words again. Mopping? She had to be referring to the moodiness that had resulted from the move, and the general despair she felt because she couldn’t get in contact with Gabby. “I understand, a little bit, I think. If I could just get in contact with Gabby, I think things would be a lot better...” The cheetah frowned, if only she could find out what had happened to the jabby lovebird.
“You need to move on Sahra. You can’t, or I guess you could; better said, you shouldn’t let things hold you back. When the time is right she’ll find you when she’s good and ready.” In the meantime the girl would need something to keep her busy. “I’ve taken the liberty of signing you up for soccer league at the local sports club. They have a track there, too, so you don’t have to go all the way to D-Corp to run. It’s only a ten minute walk from here. You and Re might like it there.”
Sahra blinked heavily—what had Adonai gotten her into?! “Alright...” She replied uneasily—it could be fun, she guessed. And Adonai was right, she needed to move on...for now.

Darkest Before Dawn Participants: Sahra, Ephrem, Keanu, Ymir Trying to escape from the literal chaos of their household, Sahra and Ephrem make use of their newfound hobby: sneaking out. But where to? Neither of them really knew, simply wanting to get out of the house. Strangely enough, they end up running into an old friend and his partner. Keanu and Ymir seem to have a differed agenda, but who cares by this point?

One Bite Changes Everything Participants: Sahra, Ephrem, Ter, Baroness It seemed like it was going to be just another day at the mall; playing at the arcade, eating in the food court, the usual. But when Ephrem finds an interesting counterpart in a foreign area of the building, things suddenly get more interesting. Ter and Baroness, two very strange individuals—strange makes for interesting, and that's better than nothing going on, right?

Metaplot: I'm turning Japanese!, Back in Black Participants: Sahra, Ephrem, and a lot of others. Managing to escape without much injury, despite her bare arms and legs being eaten up by multiple acid sprays from wonderful Auloll, Sahra had gotten sent home. She proceeded to feel quite useless for days to come, not having done much but watch. Ephrem was ecstatic that he was able to keep the cheetah pinned down and out of the aim of fire. Having disintegrated fur and mild skin burns was enough! But she still wonders: where did all the dragons go? And will D-Corp do anything?

Trials of Ice and Snow Participants: Sahra, Ephrem, Drez Fun in the snow, what could be better? Well, at least for this time of year. Sahra and Ephrem journey off from Yin as she goes off on a date. Wanting to get the two out of the house after Sahra's long 'lock-down,' they end up going off to sled, both putting obvious effort forth to have fun.

As cold as ICE Participants: Sahra, Ephrem, Nero, Taren, Alora, Various Guardians A day at the ice rink, attempting to skate. At least for Sahra! She doesn't think she can get a hold of this whole skating thing, but, she might, you never know! It's a very odd day, seeing old friends, meeting new kids, Ephrem having a lethal sugar buzz. What could be better?

Wanting to show her thanks, Vivina made her way to Sahra's residence and left a small jewel on the doormat as well as a note saying:
"Thanks for the bag! I wonder what's in it? Hope you like this jewel I found! Merry Christmas!"
