The ground was glistening with what had to be at least a foot or more of new fallen snow. Well, not really new, it had been there for a few days. But, Sahra and her partner, Ephrem, were out to play in it for the first time since it had snowed. Mabyn had dropped them off at a large sledding slope for the evening, while she went out on a date (How scary was that? Who really wanted to date a crabby tabby?). No one else was home, so, Yin thought it’d be brilliant to get poor ‘kitten’ and her ‘pet’ out of the house.
“This is going to be fun, Re!” Clad in jeans, all-terrain boots, and a dark green Columbia jacket, Sah held under one arm a large saucer shaped object made of tough orange plastics. Sprinting out to the top of the hill, she watched one particularly thrilled child run-start and jump onto his/her sled (the kid was to bundled up to tell) and slide down a very hilly portion of the slope in one quick SWOOSH! The cheetah grinned.
Ephrem on the other hand, didn’t look nearly as thrilled. Actually, he was a rather stormy fellow. “I don’t want to do this.” He grumbled in draconic, a short hiss escaping his mouth. “It is a sheer waste of my time.”
“Oh come on Re,” She cooed, with a sudden demonic twist to her expression. “It will be fun!” Sah darted at the dragon, who was perching stubbornly at the edge of the slope. Pushing out her arms and dropping the sled on flat ground, she gave the lindworm a quick, hard shove. It was just hard enough, matched with his initial shock of the spontaneous action, to set him sliding down the hill.

When it had first started to snow, his mother told him to go outside to 'see' what she was talking to. He was just out there just for a few minutes and came inside as fast as he could. His mother wasn't too supprised for him being part snake. But when she told him that snow was just frozen water. But she told him that the next time that he would go out with a coat to keep warm and he was much happer.
His mother had droped him of at this hill where he could have fun in the snow. He is bundled up in a orange down-coat with a snow pants-like sock covering part of his tail colored in a very pale blue and gloves. As he wandered around to get his barrings around the slope and heard all of the kids screeming in delight and was heading in the drection of the bottom of the hill. A slight wind jingled the few beads in his hair and the feather under his right ear that Geia had giveing him. Smileing he rubbed his ears where his earring were located one in the tip of his right ear and the other one in the left lobe. He was content on listening to the other people as he really didn't know what they were doing as his mother didn't explane sleading to well to him.

Watching the lanky Ephrem slide head first down the hill was a hard thing not to laugh at. Even the noises he was making as he frantically slide to his 'icy grave' were utterly hilarious. Squeaks and squawks, he sounded more like a frightened bird than a dragon. And she knew first hand what those sounded like, since her sister was one, after all.
"That makes my day." Grinning a toothy grin, she dragged her heavy boots along the ground, twisting in a circle and bending down to grab up her orange sled. It made her stand out a bit more than she could have hoped, but it was what Mabyn had given her to use. Why did it have to be neon orange? Why not dark orange? She felt like a crossing guard.
"Hm?" As she stood, using one gloved paw to whip her knees free of snow, the feline spotted a lanky-looking child that oddly reminded her of something. "A snake?" Tilting her head, she pulled her sled back under her arm, and decided to cautiously approach this interesting looking person. One day curiosity might just kill her. "Hello there?" Smiling innocently, she carefully observed the blue-toned individual. "You alright?" He seemed dazed to her, for some reason. She knew when she got like that it was just her way of thinking, but Ephrem had told her most people got like that when something was wrong. Was that true?

"Hello," he answered smiling. Drez tilted his head in confusion to what was asked of him next. He felt all right, well he was a little cold but that wasn't too bad. "I'm alright excpet for being a little cold thats all," he answered.

Must not be! "Oh, sorry, I was just wondering. You seemed a bit dazed to me, but I'm very strange, so I was probably just imagining things." The cheetah grinned simply, sarcasm hinting her voice at the appropriate points. She rubbed her hands together, trying to concentrate on her wool gloves rather than admitting to the embarrassed feeling dwelling in her gut. Luckily enough for her, you really couldn't blush well with fur.
Sahra quickly changed the subject in her mind. "So you here to have some fun?" Her teeth protruded, looking more like she was about to snap at someone rather than smile. "I've never really bothered to sled before, but it seems like it's fun!" She turned about-face on one heel to peer out at other children sliding down the bumpy terrain, all bundled in their scarves and thick coats. Some mothers didn't fail, apparently.
"Oh, eh, my names Sahra, aka Sah, by the way." The feline was becoming more attached to her nickname rather than her full name. She didn't really know why. "It was kind of rude of me not to introduce myself first, sorry..." Sah sighed under her steamy breathe, looking back out to the edge of the slope, as a long narrow form pulled itself up. "And my dragon's over there, too. That's Ephrem."

He had always wondering what other might saw of him being blind. "Don't be sorry. I think that I seem dazed is becasue I'm blind." he said he was fine with the fact that he was blind. He had his other sences to tell him things about the world and it was fun to see the world through taste.
"Well its nice to meet you, Sah. I'm Drez. Also I don't mean to be rude but what type of animal are you? I'm a Banded sea krait." Drez asked smiling and still trying to figure out things in his head.
"Yep I came to have fun. Tho I have never went sleading before as this is my first experence with snow." he said as the end of his tail was feeling the snow.

"Really, you are?" She blinked, scanning over her new acquaintance. "I'm not so sure that was why, but who knows." Sahra yanked at her pendant, something she was characteristic of doing when she was anxious.
"But anyways, it's nice to meet you, too. Drez, huh?" With a soft crash, the cheetah released the round sled from underneath the grip of her upper arm. Stomping her foot down onto the hunk of plastic, she wanted to be sure it didn't decide to sprout a conscious mind and wander off. No way, it wasn't going down that hill without her!
"Well, I'm a cheetah," Twitching her tail in response, Sah tilted her head, her vibrant orange hair falling into her face. "I'm not sure if I know what a Banded Sea Krait is, though." Yanking her gloves off of her hands, she held both wool objects in her mouth, as she smoothed her hair and pulled it back into a ponytail-- "Are you some kind of snake?" She asked curiously. "My dragon's kind of like a snake."
Ephrem decided to stay away from Sahra, not feeling the need to get pushed down the slope again. Instead, he wandered away from the squabble of children, and coiled up on a patch of concrete.
"So you've never sledded before? Neither have I. It seems like fun...mostly." The cheetah watched as more children jumped onto random contraptions and slide down the slope-side. "You want to sled with me, then? Ephrem's being a drag; he doesn't like snow. Do you have a sled?"

"Yes, since I was born and its nice to meet you as well," he said as he patted the snow with his tail.
"That cool. Yes I'm a sea snake," he replied showing her his flatten tail end as it looked like a huge paddle for swimming. "I have never met a dragon that like a snake," Drez said.
"No I haven't. Yep I will sled with you, but I don't have a sled. But I somewhat know how he feels about the snow. Without a coat it would be too cold for me," he said a little sheeply as his mother hadn't given him one.[/color]

"Oh I see." She replied simply, not taking to much note on the subject. "You haven't? Hm. RE!" Her voice was stark, and she nearly coughed as she inhaled to much cold air at once. "Come over here, you lazy thing!" Sighing, ears twitching, she knew that wouldn't be enough to get him to budge. "Get up or else I won't buy you tacos tomorrow when we go to the mall!"
Ephrem shot up, slate colored eyes widened to an extent that made them appear as if they'd burst. "Fine!" He hissed, a low snarl sounding in the back of his throat. He slithered on, pushing the snow away with his coils as he, without hesitation, but much protest in the way of growling, went to his felines side. "What?"
"Drez this is Ephrem, the growling menace. He's a lindworm; they're real snake like, the only difference in my mind being that they have two front limbs." Suddenly a devious smile formed on her lips, her gaze falling to the dragon. "You don't? Hm. Well, if you want, you could use mine, and Ephrem and I can go down together. He already got the hang of sliding, anyways. Or you could go down with us? I don't know what would work better."
Not being to entirely pleased that he had been blackmailed into having 'fun,' Ephrem grumbled, twisting his head away from the cheetah. He would get her back, eventually. But for now, he would do as she pleased; so he could get his food when it came time. Nothing was better than tacos!

Drez's tonuge was flicking in and out to memerized the new scent and moved closer to Ephrem and touched he breefly. "It nice to meet you Ephrem," he said. He scrached his head for a minuite before saying anything. "Could I go with the both of you until I get the hang of what it is," he asked the both of them.
