It startled Anthony when Sentinel suddenly appeared out of thin air on the roof adjacent to him, "So that's what that's like," He muttered to himself. He crept out of the shadows and turned visible again, "SENTINEL!" He bellowed as he ran and launched himself off the roof. His boots connected heavily with the wall in front of him and his hands immediately hooked onto the ledge as he scrambled for dear life to pull himself onto the roof. His body shrieked for him to cease these activities but he ignored it as pulled himself up and dusted him self off. "I've been tracking you most the night. You and I need to talk and saying no is not an option." He paused to breath momentarily, "I feel like Oual and I owe you an apology but I'm not going to give you one, instead I came here to explain to you why we're a little uptight. Delmor has fallen on dark times and we could use your help....But we need to know we can trust you." Anthony braced himself, if Sentinel had indeed killed the people at the docks and the people in the bar then Anthony might be in over his head.

Sentinel wearily turned around to face the hero. He didn't need this now; he was too tired from his daily activities to even speak to other people. But apparently this boy was so powerful that he had the ability to keep Sentinel here... okay, it was untrue, but Sentinel decided not to resist for now. He didn't want to hurt the other guy. Hiding his tiredness as best he could, he sighed and spoke:
"Did you check the security footage of the museum robbery like I told you to do?" his voice was getting hoarse from having to sound gravely all of the time. Sentinel seriously needed a glass of water, but didn't have a water bottle with him. He made a mental note to get a CamelBak that he could wear under his cape.

"No we didn't get the chance to look at the security footage from the museum," Anthony said as he paced up to Sentinel, "However I did have the opportunity to investigate two crimes scenes earlier this evening." He paused and walked past Sentinel so that his back was to him. He turned, "At both scenes there were a few incapacitated men however for the most part all of the participants were found dead. Various lacerations, bullet wounds and internal bleeding were attributed to their deaths. Witnesses suggest that it was a blur of motion that came down on them and it was as though the very shadows were attacking them." If Sentinel could see Anthony's face the saying if looks could kill would come to mind, "Witnesses went on to say they caught a brief glimpse of a hooded figure." Anthony walked over to an air-conditioning unit on the building and leaned against it staring at Sentinel a long time, "Are you another one of those rich punks that watched The Dark Knight a few too many times and wondered: How hard could it be? You seem smarter than that, what's your angle? Is it revenge perhaps?" Anthony crossed a leg, "Whatever your reason maybe it is critical that you know that this is not like the movies. Criminals don't pull punches, heroes aren't guaranteed to survive and there is rarely any glory. You saw what happened earlier, I was shot. I went to the hospital, it's the first time but none the less it happens. Several weeks ago I jumped out of a burning building and surely would have died if it weren't for a fellow hero." He sighed and was silent for a moment remembering James Cross who had willingly risked his life for the well being of those people and the electric girl that had revived Anthony. He looked up, "I chased you all over the city tonight to talk to you because Delmor has hit hard times and needs heroes. If you want to help then Oual and I would be more than happy to have the extra help but there are rules to this. Heroes do not kill. We are not the judge, jury and executioner, it is not our job to decide who lives and who dies and once you take that decision into your hands there will be consequences. They may not have caught you yet but they will. Murdering makes us no better than the rapists and homicidal filth that we combat. If we kill then the cops will start gunning for masks; they'll stop turning a blind eye and start using some of their forensic abilities on a hair found at the scene of a crime or the blood on the knuckles of a gang member who got a lucky punch in. And when that happens I guarantee you that Oual, the police force and the rest of the heroing community will barrel down on you and you will be given the same mercy you gave your victims." Standing again he spoke, "Oual and I are assembling a team to combat a larger network of villains... something that's working below the surface. We could use your help. We're apprehensive because a hero shouldn't be as morally ambiguous as you seem to be but the thing is that despite my instincts cries not to trust you I have a feeling you will be more useful to us as an ally than as an enemy." He extended his hand, "What do you say? Will you join us?"

This guy was really talking a lot here, Sentinel thought as he listened to the hero's spiel. So yeah, there was the incident at the docks. He had heard it before, the whole accusatory speech. The bartender earlier had given the same jab at his morals. He was used to it. Although, he was surprised that there were survivors and witnesses to his attack on the drug cartel. Looks like he hadn't done his job well enough. Then came the question if he wanted to be Batman. Geez, why did everyone think he wanted to be Batman? If anyone actually bothered to look at his style, they would notice he was more like V from the graphic novel V For Vendetta. And yeah, he knew it was dangerous. Why else would he wear a Kevlar bodysuit for Pete's sake? This guy didn't even know that Sentinel had been shot twice this afternoon and didn't go to a hospital. Who was he to tell him that what he was doing was wrong? He didn't care if he had to 'stoop to their level'. His philosophy was that you need to stoop to something level to fight it.
Reluctantly, Sentinel took and shook Ghoul's outstretched hand. Now it was sealed. Pulling back, Sentinel resisted the urge to give his own spiel, but he knew it would only be countered with more rhetoric about the values of human life or some bull crap like that. For now, he held his tongue. Fishing inside of his belt for something, he pulled out a small Bluetooth-type headset. He tossed it to Ghoul. "Use that to contact me," he said. "I'll be around." Then he started to walk away. Before he reached the edge of the building, he turned around slightly to look back at Ghoul. "By the way, I was shot twice this afternoon." Then he leapt off of the building, out of sight.

As Sentinel leapt off the building Anthony laughed, "You're wearing Kevlar, try it without bullet proof material next time. We'll be in touch Sentinel." He observed the blue-tooth piece. He would obviously need to take it apart first to study it before he allowed it anywhere near his home and base of operations but it was a good sign. He took a phone and a card out of his pocket and scribbled the model number down onto the card, he took the phone and pressed the speed dial for Oual but then thought better of it. He then stuffed the blue tooth into another pocket and made his way to the fire escape. Ghoul was going to have to do some serious resting before he hit the streets again.

Previous Joel watched as the man who had just jumped in to help him save this guy just suddenly decided to run off and disappear. He thought for a second that he saw someone jump from one rooftop to another, hitting the building. Joel then closed his eyes and rubbed them, then saw nothing when he looked up, he needed to get more sleep. Joel then looked at Jon, who seemed to be completely stunned by the news that Joel was ecstatic to hear about himself, but everyone has different reactions to everything, "Well, is there anything else you require of me?" Joel asked, trying to make his voice sound as much like his normal monotone to keep up the illusion.

JONATHAN JOHNSON
Jon had completely forgotten what had been going on around him until the Super with the red mask asked him once more if he was feeling alright and if there was anything else Jon needed of him. Yes there certainly was! Jon wanted to know what the hell was happening to his life. Everything was falling to pieces! Jon had a bag on his head for God's sakes! Jon suddenly noticed the other Super had disappeared, but that was the least of his problems. Jon finally decided that it may be good to talk again before the Super thought he was in a horrible state of shock.
"I'm fine." Jon said, still not used to the fact that he wasn't stuttering every time he spoke. "I'd just like it if you tried to forget about this whole incident. I am very grateful but the whole crime fighting thing... that really isn't me... so just forget I was here, but before you do that... could you maybe help me get out of this part of town?" Jon just didn't want to run into any more criminals on the way out of this seedy part of town.

Previous Joel looked Jon over, the bag over his head was quite unnecessary, and he really had no idea why Jon was freaking out so much after finding out about being a super, and not wanting to fight crime as he just made short work of those three thugs. "I will help you to leave here," Joel said, "but I must ask, why would you not want to fight crime with these great powers? I could think of nothing I would rather be doing. However, 'tis your choice." He added. Joel grabbed one of his marbles in hand, ready to use it in case someone ran in and tried to mess with them he would be ready with a weapon.

JONATHAN JOHNSON
Jonathan Johnson had calmed down a little bit since the fight and he felt his vacuum cleaner start sliding back into his back slowly, but surely. Jon listened to his comrade, but really, the guy had no clue what he was talking about. Why not use his powers and become a super hero? The answer was simple: it was because Jon had a life. Maybe his life was kind of in shambles right now, but it was still a fragment of a life right?
Jon wasn't the type of guy who could save people. He was the one that needed the saving! Or was he? He had just defeated some thugs and saved two super heroes who had thought they had been successful in defeating the thugs in the first place! Jon didn't let his comrade leading the way know any of this though. He cleared his throat and just said, "Saving the world may be your thing buddy, but it doesn't seem like my cup of tea."
Jon laughed at himself in his head. After all, who on earth would take Jon seriously at all if he started fighting crime with a grocery bag on his head. "So what's your... super hero... name?" Jon asked out of pure curiosity.

Previous Joel shrugged as Jon commented, "As I said, 'tis your choice." He said, looking around to make sure that no one was able to get the jump on them. Joel paused for a second after he was asked for his super hero name, "Well, I do not have a super hero name, for this is not simply some occupation, 'tis what I exist for. I am the Angel of Justice." He said. Joel always seemed to get way too into the angel gimmick, and today was not an exception. Sometimes he got further into it than others. Chances are, Jon may not believe him, but that would probably serve to change the subject matter.
