Josh once again rooted around in his pocket for his cell phone. He had to call 9-1-1 for the second time tonight, he felt like he was back on the Independent Circuit. He seemed to have entirely forgotten that he had his shirt wrapped around his face, as he wanted to ask why the kid was staring at him, he figured he was just awestruck by his physique.

Before he could ask, a lady answered the phone. He thought it was the exact same lady as before, as she didn't seem in too much of a hurry.

"We need an ambulance, quick! There's been an accident and we've got someone here who's hurt bad!" He then looked up at the street signs and read them off to the lady, who repeated it back a lot slower than she should have.

"Thank you." Josh said as he closed his phone and stuffed it back into his pocket.

"The ambulance is on its way, it should be here soon." Josh said, looking back to the concerned kid, "So, what happened here?" He asked again.

"They... uh..." Daniel tried to get his thoughts together as he kept glancing up at the sky. It was fairly clear, but that had nothing to do with what he was planning. He was running out of time. The nearest hospital was too far away by car, even for a speeding ambulance. The woman in his arms wouldn't make it. The baby inside of her wouldn't make it. It would be one of those tragic accidents that someone would read in a newspaper, forget it, and toss it in the garbage. And it would all be the drunkards in the jeep's fault.

No. Daniel wasn't going to let that happen; even if it meant this freaky-looking kid knew his secret. Scooping the woman fully up into his arms, the young man spread his invisible telekinetic energy over the both of them, making sure he had a good hold of himself and the wounded victim. Getting a good footing, Daniel took one last look at the guy with the shirt on his face. Daniel gave him a solemn nod, then swooped up into the sky. Turning in the right direction, Daniel headed towards the nearest hospital he could think of: the Mikantish Foundation.

Josh was confused as the man took off flying...Perhaps he really did have too much to drink...

Still, that thought didn't linger in his mind for long. He took off running after the guy that had started flying, following him as closely as he could on foot. In speed, he was almost as fast as Daniel, however, he did not have to freedom of being in the sky, instead he was on the streets, cutting through alleyways and any other possible shortcuts he could to keep up with the guy that was flying.

He never stopped to think this whole way that he still has a shirt over his face, or to ask why he was following this guy, he just did.

User ImageZii's boots were making the most irritating squeaking noise as she walked along the sidewalk heading home. Rowland's apartment was several blocks from the bar, and under normal circumstances Zii would have taken the bus to avoid wandering half-naked through the shady neighborhood that separated the two. Unfortunately, thanks to the kind thugs' decision to turn the bar into Swiss cheese, Zii had missed the bus. Theoretically, she could wait for the next one, but at night the only sure thing about the bus schedule was that the damned thing would only show up about five minutes after you'd given up waiting for it.

Zii had smoked her entire pack tonight (note to self: next time splurge on a carton), and so she was forced to make this creepy, cold, drunken walk without the added buzz of nicotine to slightly lighten her misery.

If she got mugged tonight, Zii promised herself as she rubbed her bare arms, she was gonna kill someone.

Well, someone else. That fact still hadn't sunk in, not entirely. Shouldn't she feel a bit more...guilty? Maybe shaken, at least? She just felt cold, and pissed, and drunk, and she had to pee. Was everyone this nonchalant after committing their first murder?

Self defense. Not murder, self defense. She'd shot in self defense before. The only difference here was that she'd aimed to kill this time. Why was that? She certainly hadn't needed to...

Stop thinking about this. You're too drunk and it's too late. You'll worry about your psychological damage tomorrow.

Zii couldn't reach her apartment soon enough.

Allen wandered down the street feeling rather defeated and depressed. His conversation with Zii about supers made him feel like they were swarming over the city. "Someone needs to stop them," He whispered, "I Need to stop them." He corrected as he felt his heart start racing and he balled his fists. He needed to find the mastermind and he needed to find him fast. He pulled his supply list and drawings from his pocket and grinned, "Soon."

Josh stretched and let out a slight yawn as he once again began his trek home. He flipped open his phone to check the time, dang! It was too late to go out and start fighting crime. He wanted to prove to people like the bartender and that other random guy from the bar that not all supers are bad.

He thought back to the claims they made...hmm...perhaps he did more of that than he was aware of, but the ends justify the means right?

He replaced his phone into his pocket and began day dreaming, he stared up into the sky, just letting his mind wonder, not all that concerned with what was going on around him. He wasn't that used to a big city, he didn't think there would be many people walking around or driving, so he didn't really think about that as he continued.

User ImageThe morning light was harsher than Anthony recalled it being in a while. He squinted as he drove to the alley where he had stored the blue tooth device. After making sure no one was watching he went to get the blue tooth device. "So you're going to trust him?" a voice said that startled Anthony. Wheeling around he faced nothing, he looked up and to the sides and every where he thought a person could be. He turned to retrieve the device and placed the manhole back over it's hole. "Be careful Anthony, he won't hesitate to draw those blades on you if he doesn't trust you. You've seen his work." Anthony's eyes grew a little wide as he turned to look for the phantom voice. He made haste to his car and drove off again. He was already late for work.
