Self Defense 1: Ter takes a class that is very, very foreign in its concepts to both his mind and that of his Wyvern.

Kuyoja
Self Defense for Begginers lvl 1 Ter's grades:

Attendance: User ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser Image
Activity: User ImageUser ImageUser ImageUser Image
Test Score: Not applicable
Homework: Not applicable
Final Grade: 90%

Ter has done well in the class for asking questions and being generally active during the session. I am a bit concerned with his relationship with the girl Zyanya, as he seems to try and egg her on into aggressive situations. I think more classes with me will be appropriate to try and curb his mob mentality.

~ Kuyoja Tsuzuki

Ter pushed up on his coils so that he could peer over his father's shoulder, looking at what the note he'd received had to say... then fell into peels of laughter, "You sure that ones mine?" He asked, curious now. That was a good grade after all, he'd really thought that he would have failed that boring class he'd taken with the equally boring teacher.

Orpheus looked over at his son with a raised eyebrow, "You were expecting worse?"

"I was expecting one that had red on it that said: You can do better. Or maybe 'See me after class' or better yet 'why did you even show up'." He said truthfully, "But this is good. His only concern is my girlfriend which shouldn't be since hes not you."

The red haired father looked a little confused, "Not me..?"

"Yeah, my Dad. If you don't care about me and Z dating then why should he?" The snake gave a shrug, "Not like I am gonna break up with her cause my teacher doesn't like it."

He waved his hand then slithered off towards his room to tell Baroness about his grade.

Orpheus was a little surprised, both at how happy the snake seemed at this moment in time having him as a father and because for once he had a point... mark this on the calendar he told himself. Ter was right about something.

Gift for Geia

Ter leaned over to look at the strange thing that was on the table among the random candy and items left over from Halloween in one of the seasonal shops in the mall. They were getting rid of one holiday worth of stuff on clearance while setting up for the next major one. He lifted a scaled hand to poke at the item then gave a confused sort of sound. It looked alive what was inside of the item, said that it was but he was confused as to why a person would want to buy a candy coated bird. First off wouldn't the animal taint the candy so it was edible? Secondly how did the animal breath? Maybe there were air holes that he was missing? He gave it another round of poking before the small, kinda fat bird started to squawk in an indignant sort of way and the one running the booth looked her eyes wary, "You only eat the candy part, not the bird." She clarified as if afraid that Ter meant to eat all of it.

The snake of course reacted to that in a way that was most fitting of his personality, "Look Lady after I buy the thing I can eat whatever part of it I want." He informed her as he picked the weird candy up and gave it grin as if he were actually planning on eating it.

She responded with a gasping sound of disgust, "You are a disgusting boy!"

"And given I am also a customer and 'always right' you have to deal with me. So how much for the bird?" He asked, getting out some money from where he hid it under his scales.

She didn't want to sell it, one could easily tell that but at the same time she had to get rid of it so that she could bring in the new merchandise. It was a long moment before she gave the snake child a price. It was paid for, put in a carrying case made of cardboard with holes punched in it, and Ter was on his way laughing the entire time he was in the woman's sight, "Don't worry you annoying bird. If anyone was gonna eat you it would be Baroness or Vorel, not me. Well... maybe if you were cooked through and featherless?"

There was a bit more squawking from withing the box but Ter ignored it. The critter would be a funny gift to give to Ligeia and the owl needed cheering up he seemed down of late and was more often then not seen starring at the sky in a pathetic sort of way. His bones were knitting together as they were supposed to but such things took time they were told. The owl was starting to loose his patience it would seem, wanting to be back up in the sky where he belonged.

Seeing Geia starring up so often with that saddened look in his eyes made Ter angry at Chath for being the one that Geia had wanted to protect and it made him hate Aullol for being the one that hurt him. It was all such a huge pain right in the backside, "Come on Baroness. Lets go find Geia and Vorel!" He called to the Wyvern who was starring into a Jeweler with that normal look of longing she got when she saw expensive things. She looked at him, at the many sparklies, then finally with a sigh followed after her boy wondering as they walked what in the world he had in the box that was making all the noise. She was sure she would find out soon enough and could only hope whatever the box held it was for her.

When in doubt, give food (as long as it isn't fruitcake). Since the gift giver doesn't know Ter at all and is too lazy to find out, he has chosen to make a tin of cookies. The tin, which was recycled from some gathering last summer, has a jungle pattern on it, with all sorts of animals peeking out from behind dense foliage. Inside, there are some chocolate chip cookies, some sugar cookies shaped like ornaments and covered in colored sugar, and some iced cookies, most of which say "Happy Holidays", and a few of which say "Ho Ho Ho". Showing an amount of creativity which is totally inconsistent with the rest of the gift, there are also some gingerbread cutouts shaped like snakes and wyverns.

Ter's SS

Ter looked over the tin for a moment, finding himself liking the pattern that was on the front of it before he popped it open to discover the deliciousness that was contained within, "Well damn, isn't that a nice sight." He said, flicking his tongue out before he reached inside to pick up one of the snake shaped cookies and bit the head off of it. He chewed for a moment before giving a happy sound, "Tasty."

Baroness' tail set to swishing behind her and she gave a low, growling sound as Ter enjoyed the cookies without her. She wanted one too! Her eyes went huge as she watched her boy close the tin instead of giving her what she wanted. She growled at him, stomping a foot to show how much she didn't like this turn of events. How dare he deny her what she wanted! He was supposed to give her a cookie damn it!

Ter looked over at the dragoness for a moment before giving her a bit of a grin, "Want a cookie, huh?"

She gave him a glare before nodding.

"Alright you can have one. When you ask for one."

The wyvern puffed up indignantly, giving him a hiss before snarling out, "Give me a cookie!"

Ter shook his head, holding the tin behind his back, "Nope. Not like that. I know for a fact that you dragons can speak same humans. You will get a cookie when you ask for it in our language. You say: I want a cookie."

Baroness looked completely offended by this strange turn of events. He was demanding she speak in the human tongue to get the cookie that she desired? This was the fault of that damned lindworm they had met, he'd spoken the human language and given Ter all of these strange ideas. Her tail started to lash back and forth. Should she give up on the cookie? Why should she try to learn the human language when Ter didn't try to learn the dragon language? Still... those cookies did smell really good and she really, really wanted one...

She seemed quite torn but she decided finally to make an attempt at the language. A cookie was just the first step, if she could learn the words she could demand anything of her boy and he wouldn't be able to feign ignorance over what she wanted. It could come in handy... imagine the things she could demand of him if he could understand her.

"Eee... wan... kooooie" She growled out, giving him a dark glare as if to tell him her wording was wrong.

Ter instead was starring, eyes wide before he got out a cookie and held it out to her, "Awesome! I knew you could do it." He said, then sat back and soon they were working on more useful phrases with cookies as the rewards for her getting them right...

A Perfect Gift

He had taken a while to get it done but he had figured out the perfect present for Zyanya. He could only hope that she understood why it had taken him so long to get it done. After all there were so many people that came to the park that the two of them hung out at. Lots of people meant less time when he could work on his secret project without being bothered. He'd also needed some time to practice the art that was making what he was making. He flicked his tongue out before a bright, fanged smile spread across the snake boy's lips, "What do you think?" He asked of Baroness who had been his look out and distracter of anyone that came to close to this area.

The wyvern looked over what her boy was looking at, tail swishing back and forth in amusement and delight. She knew from the way they were acting that what Ter did for a gift for Z wasn't exactly legal thusly Baroness knew it would go over better with the Mantis girl. She looked over at her boy then gave a nod of her head, "'S good." She hissed out, using the annoying, human words that Ter seemed so amused by her using. Not many of them mind you, enough that she could placate him and nothing more.

Ter nodded, "Well only one thing left to do now." He walked over to pick up the camera he'd borrowed from his father and took a picture of the hard work he'd done, "We take this, print it off, then send it to Z." She would see all the hard work he'd put into the project and love him that much more for it. He gave a happy sort of sound as he daydreamed over the reaction he would get, or at least he hoped to get. For a long enough moment that Baroness had to give him a nudge to wake him up, "Alright, alright. Lets go dump the evidence then be on our way."

The best thing about what he'd done was there was no way exactly to tie him to it. He hadn't been seen by anyone and he lacked the thing that those CSI shows used so often to find bad guys. He looked down over his fingers, rubbing the tips of them together. He was covered in scales and had no fingerprints. The cans of spray paint were dumped into a large trashcan and then he used his tail to stuff them down to the bottom, "I'm hungry, how about you?" He asked of his dragoness.

She nodded her head, rapidly, "Very." She said.

The pair was soon hurrying off away from the scene of the crime, nobody the wiser to what had been put up on the wall until long after he was gone.

Infiltration, Ter Style

Ter was scratching at one of his cheeks as he headed inside, nearly getting run down by his brother who was leaving their apartment followed by Vorel just as he and Baroness were coming in. He gave a little snort, eyes following him and he was about to yell at the pair to watch where they were going when eh saw the expression the owl wore.

"Mmm... something else has happened." He told Baroness. Were the owl not rushing off so quickly he'd question him or have the wyvern talk to the Frost. As that wasn't an option he supposed they were going to have to infiltrate weren't they? He gave a little grin before he headed towards the owl's room. To learn exactly what the other was up to one needed information, he'd seen this sort of thing a lot on television. He'd learned all he could through conventional spying, now he would have to snoop.

Baroness gave a snort, this was foolish... if anything they should be getting snacks and watching some television. Their shows were going to be on soon and instead of watching them she was stuck playing army men with her boy. Why should they even care? This was the problem of Ligeia and Vorel, why should they try to figure bother... what a bore. She flopped down in the hallway between the two bedroom doors and watched as the snake boy slithered into the owl's room.

It was a lot different then her boy's room, neater as it seemed like Ligeia actually went about the dull process that was cleaning from time to time and the colors were a lot lighter. It should be easier to find whatever Ter was looking for in there as opposed to someoen trying to find something in Ter's room... She gave a yawn and let her eyes close, tail thumping against the ground in annoyance.

Ter looked at the Wyvern then gave a roll of his eyes, "A lot of help you are Baroness." He grumbled before he set to looking around. If he were Ligeia where would be keep information pertaining to something like this? He walked over to the desk first, looked around on it, checked the bed next, then the top of his dresser. Nothing... Where in the world was... he blinked as he found himself starring at the top drawer to the owl's dresser. Naw, Ligeia wasn't a kid he wouldn't hide things in such an obvious place... right?

Yeah he would the snake decided, opening the draw and looked inside. It took him only a moment and some mental anguish and he found a crumpled up envelope. He looked back and forth before opening it up, reading the contents, and replaced it. It was less then ten minutes between breaking in and leaving the scene of the crime but he'd gotten the information he needed, "Quick Baroness, to the lair!" He said, slithering into his room.

Baroness pushed up to her feet and followed along after him, what a strange boy she had. At least now they would know what was going on and maybe they could watch their show only having missed the beginning of it.

Debate with Damaris: Ter is drafted for the first time in helping out with one of Orpheus' classes. In it he plays a game with Damaris and gets into an argument with her over people and how they should or shouldn't be treated.

A Chat Between Brothers

Ter was curled up in a mass of coils and appeared to be watching television with his wyvern. Of course this was only cover, all spies needed cover after all. What he was really doing at the moment was watching and waiting, his brother was sitting on the couch reading one of his many boring tomes and he seemed... the same. It made no sense to him at all, why was it that the owl could seem the same as he always had after what all had occurred? He shifted so that he could roll his top half so he was laying on his stomach and set to watching once more. He was always so very calm and it annoyed the ever living hell out of the snake. Ter's tail tip started to twitch and his tongue flicked out rapidly.

Ligeia lifted his gaze from the book he was reading to stare at his brother, ear tufts twitching, "What?" He asked when his brother remained unblinking for an extended period of time.

The snake pushed to sitting up, watching him again for a long moment before saying, "You seem awfully laid back."

The owl blinked before returning his gaze to the pages that were open before him, "And I am not supposed to be?" He asked, careful to keep his voice and tone even.

The snake gave a snort, "I would think so, shouldn't you be... I don't know, upset or something?" This was strange, you would think a girly boy like Ligeia would be off crying over how terrible it was that he and Chath had broken up. He had to be missing something here, the letter had sounded a bit like it were all Ligeia's fault which made no sense. Hadn't the owl been all hearts and stuff over the newt? As weird as it was.

"What do you know?" He asked, lifting his gaze again to stare at the snack. Ter had to know something or he wouldn't keep asking questions like the ones he was asking.

"Not much, what I over heard and read in your little boyfriends letter." He said in full honestly.

Ligeia was on his feet in an instant and the book that was in his lap hit the ground with a dull thud, "What?! You read it? Ter that was none of your business and... wait you dug around through my dresser?"

Ter gave a snort as he pushed up on his coils so that he could meet his brother's gaze, "So what? I read it and I went digging around, not like you'd tell me what was going on if I were to ask."

"How do you know? You never bothered to ask!"

"Have you told anyone? Or is Chath the only one to know that you dumped him?" He snapped out.

Ligeia jerked back as if Ter had sucker punched him before shaking his head, "You don't know anything about it so why don't you drop it and go back to your cartoons." He said taking a step back, looking as if he were going to flee.

The snake boy didn't see as if he were gonna have that, taking a lunge forward and grabbed hold of his brother's wrists, "Where are you going? We aren't done talking."

"I am done... Ter is none of your business and even if it were what do you want me to say?" He asked, looking up at his brother and hating for a moment that Ter could be as tall as he wanted and that he himself would always be so short.

"Tell me whats going on? As sickeningly sweet as it was you seemed happy with your little boyfriend." He said, releasing him though he made no move to back off figuring that the moment he did the owl would bolt.

Ligeia gave a sigh, plopping back down in his seat and leaned forward to retreive his book, "I couldn't do it anymore." He murmured, lifting the tome up and hugged it to his chest, "I was... lonely and... It was all wrong. I just thought that it would be best you know, if I was the adult about it."

Ter drew his coils over and sat back on them, "All wrong?" He asked, curiously.

"Hes younger then I am Ter, a lot younger... I feel... felt guilty. He shouldn't be bound to me, I mean look at me. I'm not exactly an ideal mate, I am not even the right gender. Best I break up with him now and he find someone he can be happier with then have him come to resent me later." He said, looking at his feet, "There are times I wish I were a girl, at least I wouldn't be so strange."

Ter gave a sighing sound... ah crud... here was that stuff Damaris was going on about. Walking in another shoes, seeing things from their perspective, and all that.

"Geez... your an idiot Ligeia..." He said, a little surprised to see that Ligeia was doing his best to keep from showing emotion, "What are you holding back for? Why aren't you raging? Crying? Something? If you were really as girly as I tease you about being you'd be crying or something."

"Why? I mean... I can't cry or be upset, I was the one who broke up with him Ter. Hes the one allowed to be..."

"That is such total s**t!" Ter snapped, "I saw what he wrote to you, anyone could be upset over it even if they were the one who started the break up!"

Ligeia leaned forward to rest his forehead against his brother's shoulder, shaking his head, "Its alright, I am glad. He can be mad at me if it helps him to move on... and... I will be fine I have Vorel and dad and you... and its okay." He murmured, sounding less and less in control of his emotions but the shaking in his voice said he was still holding as firm a grip on them as he could.

Ter sighed and lifted his scaled hands up to lay them on his brother's head, "You act way to grown up, remind me never to act like you do." He muttered.

Ligeia gave a little nod of his head, "I will, don't worry." He murmured quietly, eyes closing.

"What are you going to do now?" He asked, "I mean... he meant a lot to you right? Are you gonna find someone else or..."

"No! Ahh... no... not right now, its to new. Even if we didn't talk for a while the break up is still new. I don't want to start dating again." He said, drawing back away from Ter and rose to his feet, "I think I am gonna go and fly some with Vorel... thanks Ter... I know it was a weirdly round about way or you showing your concern. Next time though please don't dig through my dresser."

"Yeah, yeah. Don't worry, digging through your drawers is a one time deal." He said, watching as Ligeia set his book aside and left the apartment with dragon. The snake gave a bit of a sigh, it was to weird. He still didn't understand any of it but from what he gathered Ligeia had given up his own happiness in order to allow Chath to be happy... it didn't make any sense to him. What was the point in self sacrifice? Seriously you gained nothing from it but personal pain... it was foolish and stupid.

"Come on Baroness, I don't want to watch TV anymore." He muttered, heading for his room. All of a sudden he wanted to call Z...

Personal Hell

He hadn't noticed what he referred to as his own personal hell approaching until it was far to late to prepare. He woke up after a late night to find his vision slightly blurry, his skin was itchy, and he was instantly in a miserable mood. If there one thing he hated more then everything else that he hated it was that as a snake he had to shed... The snake gave am angry sound, lifting a hand up to scratch at his side which loosened the dull, outer layer of skin a bit. He squinted his eyes to look over at the clock before rolling his upper section over so he was laying on his belly.

"Un... maybe I will just go back to bed..." He grumbled, no reason to get up if he weren't going to be able to do anything about what he was suffering from he thought to himself. He flipped over onto his side, then his other side before he started to scratch at himself once again with a hissing sound, "Bah... stupid shedding hell..." He growled.

There was a soft, chuckling sound from the shadows of his room. He knew the voice, it belonged to his bratty partner Baroness. Of course she would find this amusing... then again were she the one shedding he'd bet his last dollar that he would be mocking her to, telling her to shake it off and not be so weak. He should do just that, get up and go about his day as he normally would. The worst part would be having to deal with blurry vision and itching, how was he going to figure out what was going out outside his room if he didn't?

"Itches like crazy, can I itch myself against your spines Baroness?" He asked.

There was a hiss as the Wyern pushed up to her feet, puffed up, then shook her head rapidly from side to side, "No!" She snarled, shuddering in distaste. The idea of her partner rubbing against her to fix his itched made her want to bite him... repeatedly.

"Your no help at all." He said with a fanged smiled, pushing himself up on his coils, "Mmmm, itchy... maybe I can soak it off." He muttered, slithering forth from his room and down the hall. He pushed open the door to the bathroom and slipped inside.

He turned the water on, set it on the shower setting, and then got into the large tub, drawing all of his coils inside and let the the water fall down onto him. He plugged the tub up and soon enough the water was up over all of him but his face. It was at that point he turned the water off, "Call me if the world is ending." He called to Baroness who he could tell by the distance of her scent was laying in front of the bathroom door.

"Yeah, yeah." She muttered, eyes closing. He supposed that this meant that they weren't going to be doing much in the way of fun until this special problem of his done with.
