Hobbies:

Playing guitar: Seth loves to play guitar and even owns three different ones. His favorite is the acoustic guitar, though, and he's often seen playing it out on his front porch on sunny days. He prefers to play simple songs, but does know a few classic melodies.

Video games: Though he wouldn't call himself a die hard gamer, Seth does enjoy playing video games. His favorite kinds are adventure, quest, or mystery based games, with or without puzzles. However, he is someone who would chuck his controller if the puzzles are too complicated.

Motorcycles: Seth absolutely loves motorcycles. Seriously, if he had all the money in the world, he'd spend it on every vintage motorcycle he could find. He treats the one he owns now as his baby and rides it around town like a chariot. Feeling the wind blow through his hair definitely makes him feel like a god. It's just such a good rush.

Virtues:

Loyal: If you're close with Seth and he enjoys your company, he's there when you need him and takes you into consideration. He won't be someone who coddles you, but he wouldn't mind hanging out with you when you're sick. Just remember that he's taking time out of his day to be with you and that means a lot to him.

Determined: Seth works hard and plays hard. He doesn't back down easily from something and will try multiple times to get something right if it doesn't work the first time. Giving up, though an option if things become too stressful, isn't something he moves to quickly. He's got to give it his all or he'll feel like it wasn't worth it at all.

Sensible: There are some things in life that are just not logical to do, and Seth refuses to do anything he finds fits there. Being impulsive just doesn't appeal to him. He wants to make sure that every decision he makes isn't going to fill him with crippling regret later. Sure, he may have to make a few quick decisions in his life time and deal with the consequences they bring, but as long as he doesn't screw up any of the big things he's totally fine.

Flaws:

Obstinate: Seth has absolutely no time for authority. He doesn't have to listen to you, he's an adult and fully capable of making his own decisions. He doesn't care if this gets him in trouble, either. He owns himself and that's all he has to care about. You can go to hell if you think otherwise.

Irritable: Everyone has something that sets them off once and a while, but for Seth, quite a lot of things seem to make him angry. Things not working the way they should, his toast being burnt, walking into someone on the street, just the little things in life can get his blood boiling. Luckily, he isn't violent and just lets his rage fly out of his mouth in strings of profanities and shrieking.

Bitter: Seth is very black and white when it comes to people, and if you happen to slight him, you're never going to have the same level of trust again. He'll still associate with you, of course, but you might notice that the coffee he bought you has salt in it. Or the tire on your bike is flat. Or he's finding very creative ways to flip the bird at you. Whatever way he decides to show it, once you're on Seth's blacklist, you're not coming back without a good struggle.

Fighting: From the time she was around ten years old, Dessy spent more time running with street gangs than with the foster family of the moment. Running errands and causing minor mischief mostly. She had some morals. Stealing small things or from people who wouldn't be hurt by the loss.

She quickly learned how to fight, to protect herself and those smaller and weaker than her. But as she grew older, and the fights increased in frequency... and she became a better fighter, Dessy realised how much she enjoyed fighting. The adrenaline, rush of victory, even the sting of defeat. It was all good.

Though she would often sneak out for a good street fight while she was in the foster care system, she knows such behaviour could jeopardise her staying with her brother if she got caught doing something like that while in his care, so she is searching for an acceptable alternative that isn't that expensive.

She still goes out with some of her old buddies to an underground fight club, but will only fight in bouts with certain stipulations (hand-to-hand, unarmed combat only, no going for crippling or disabling points to end the bouts, no breaking bones, etc.).Maybe she could find a gym and work as a janitor or something in exchange for lessons. Perhaps there is a fighting type/ martial arts club or program at school, or she could form a sanctioned club.

Whatever the case, she limits her bouts now and always lets Justin know where she is and when.

Reading: Though she never really had a stable home, or stability in her education, but she was always bright and quick to learn. When she learned how to read, and realised that she could go anywhere, do anything, be anybody, through the power of words, she was hooked and could not get enough. So whenever she isn't doing schoolwork, spending time with her brother, or out there honing her body through fighting, she can be found with a book in her hands.

Because of her spotty education and lazy way of speaking, some people think her to be unintelligent... she has no interest in proving them wrong, so she often reads things like Nancy Drew, The Boxcar Children, or The Babysitter's Club when around others, but in the privacy of home, she enjoys the classics- like Phantom of the Opera, any Jane Austin, Wuthering Heights, or the like.

Spending time with Justin: In order to be named his sister's guardian, Justin had to have a home, a stable job, and the necessary money to care for them both. He works two jobs, generally nine hours a day/seven days a week, so being able to spend any with him is a rare gift, one she will take full advantage of. A favorite activity is curl up on the couch together with a bowl of popcorn and watch old movies. For actual outings, they will go out to a cafe and then for a stroll in the park, or small low-key musical performances in small local venues.


Virtues:

Optimistic//Despite her experiences with people, including the best and worst, the caring and the indifferent, she still believes that there is still good in the world. Both people, and experiences. She is mostly upbeat and generally tries to help those around her see the good in the bad. Glass half full versus glass half empty kind of thing. Though she is can be found in moments of doubt, if someone finds her like that, she will quickly plaster a smile on her face and act like nothing is wrong, and everything is good in the world...

Principled// There is a definite line between right and wrong, and she will never cross it. If you tell her a secret, she will never divulge it. If she is asked to take care of something, it is done to the best of her ability. If she finds misplaced items or money or whatever, she will do everything she can to find it's owner. This makes her honest, someone that can be depended on in most situations.

Just don't ask her to do something that is wrong... Unless not doing something would cause her harm or jeopardise her living situation. Self-preservation and the preservation of her family is the most important thing in the world to her. And she will do absolutely anything to protect those two things.


Determined//If she has set her mind to something, come hell or high water, she will do it. Going to catch up with those of her age scholastically? She will stay up for days straight to study. To win an important fight? She'll fight until her body gives out, but still stay standing until her opponent can't fight any longer. Just don't get in her away.

She will do whatever it takes to succeed, or if it is impossible to achieve exactly what it is she wants, she will go on until she achieves the next best thing. There is no room for failure in her eyes, and giving up is, in her eyes the biggest failure one can experience.



Flaws:

Insecure//Possessions don't mean much to her, with a few exceptions ( mostly little trinkets from her brother). Possessions are impermanent and can be taken away at the whim of others. But not friends. Friends, true friends, are there by choice. And they will fight to stay by your side.

She is very clingy to those she is close to. It comes from having lost so much. Nothing is permanent, at least nothing she has seen or known, so she holds tightly to what she has. Almost to the point of smothering those she considers to be friends.


Closed-off//It is difficult to get close to people, when you don't know how long you'll be around or how long anything will last.So she pastes on a smile, and acts the way she thinks others would want or expect, so she can fit in somewhat and isn't necessarily alone.

Superficial is all she can give, with the exception of her brother. She often deflects and does not reveal any meaningful facts about herself, rarely telling anyone anything more deep than her favorite color is that shade of blue-green found on peacocks...

If she warms up to anyone, it happens extremely slowly and seems almost unwittingly on her part. If people around for longer than a few months, she might start revealing little bits about her past and herself...


Short-tempered// It could be the hair or her heritage. The product of her upbringing. Well, whatever the cause, she is very quick to take offense and lashes out both verbally and physically. Her fuse runs short but hot. And she is slow to forgive...



PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Due to years of improper nutrition and neglect when it was most important, Dessy is short, standing barely five foot three, and is waifishly thin, though with consistant meals and good care, she is starting to fill out somewhat-closer to lean than starved now.

Eyes: a deep forest green, wide, bright, overly large in her face

Hair: slightly curly, falls to just below her butt, bronzy auburn.

Face: heart-shaped, thin, very prominent cheekbones, with a milky complexion and a smattering of freckles high on her cheekbones

Clothes: mostly second-hand, thrift store style. A bit thread-bare, but for the most part in decent condition. She generally prefers tighter pants with longer loose shirts. She is fond of all kinds of hats and large vintage jewelry pieces.

Heart of the Cards:
Collectible card games are life for Jamie. He is always interested in the newest boosters, and is not limited to just one collection. If there is a card game out there that he is not aware of, he does his best to find it and at least learn how to play the basics. Still, his favorite part about cards is not the games themselves, though playing with others is always fun and he frequents the game shops around town to do so, but rather the collecting. He is fastidious in his collections, keeping them organized and numbered, sorted and with sets separated from repeats. Trading is a massive draw for him, and he is always interested in striking up a deal, even across genres. He has a list of his collections on his phone, along with a few card-themed app games. Lately, he’s been looking into trying to make a game of his own.

Protect the Barrier!:
Jamie has always been interested in the Paranormal, from when he was a much younger child and through his high school years. Now that he is in college, he is taking the opportunity to explore the topic further, taking classes that seem to have focuses in it and finding fellow ghost-friends in campus groups and clubs. He loves to watch the ghost hunting shows on TV, though he finds them a little too staged and longs for a time when he can experience something truly paranormal. Spooky things are his favorite, and he is drawn to abandon places and spooky areas around town, sometimes following strange newspaper stories and hoping to find something paranormal at their roots. As it turns out, there is a lot of unexplained stuff going on here in Destiny City, and thus he is always kept interested and searching.

Virtues:

Try Everything!
Not afraid to try anything new at least once, Jamie has a thirst for experiencing everything there is to offer around him. His adventurous tastes are not just limited to actual experiences, like opting to join a late night hike or enjoying a dare to skinny dip, but to trying new foods and even listening to music, reading books, and watching television recommended by friends, family, and random strangers he bumps into in the streets. He is curious and excited, making him a fun person to fan-flail at. He is always willing to listen, after all, and basks in the happiness others feel in their favorite things.

Just Keep Swimming
Willing to do what is necessary, Jamie puts others and his responsibilities before himself more time than not. He is a very dutiful worker and member of clubs at school, often taking up the tasks that others do not want to do. Either they’re tedious, messy, or just stressful: if it is something Jamie can help out with, then he’ll take the hit for the team. He is very hard to get down, his philosophy in life telling him to just keep doing his best, and the good will follow. Even when things look their worst, he is sure that if he can just keep moving forward, he’ll get past the bad, the difficult, and the gross.

Flaws:

What’s This?
Flighty, inconsistent interests, and a generally hard to understand thought pattern make trying to anticipate Jamie’s actions incredibly difficult. He can easily be seen as an oddball, and is not unused to being ignored or looked over when it comes to the general public. People do not tend to like what they don’t understand, and he is certainly a difficult one to really figure out. Because he is so eager to share in everything, experience everything, it’s hard to know what he actually likes, and how sincere he is with his enthusiasm. He is also prone to suddenly changing his mind about activities and interests, which can derail an encounter with a friend or associate. Terrible at planning things, and following through with said plans, Jamie can feel like a time bomb that may contain fire or confetti. He simply chalks it up to a short attention span.

Out There
Jamie is not wholly oblivious to how the way he lives his life might alienate people. In fact, sometimes he feels very much alone, and wonders if this is how things are supposed to be. When he gets in funks like this, it is hard for him to shake himself out of it, even with his usual mantras of ‘just keep swimming’ and ‘try everything’. Instead, he will try to hyper focus on one project, and become so absorbed in it that it may border on obsessive. All of a sudden, for a few days at least, Mr. Always Everywhere is unreachable, which disrupts whatever activities that may unfortunately coincide with these episodes of doubt. He does not want to burden anyone with his thoughts, though, and rarely offers an explanation for his disappearances or his distraction.

Reading: From scientific journals to puppy smut novels (in the name of research of course), Patricia enjoys curling up with a piece of literature and reading for hours. Many times she ends up making notes in the edges of the books, especially if she disagrees with something. Should you see her at a book store or library, expect her not to leave without at least two or three new things.

Cooking: Just as she loves watching how things interact in her professional life, Patricia enjoys how the different ingredients in cooking come together to form a meal. How just a quarter cup of water can be the difference between soup and stew. How the right amount of flour at the correct temperature can make a gravy. It's being a mad scientist at home.
Besides, she had to learn after she realized just had bad for you ramen is back in college.

Virtues:
Logic-Driven: As a lady of science, Pat is driven by logic in her decisions. She very rarely acts on impulse and more often than not she has spent a good deal of time weighing options before moving forward. She’s gotten very good at quick logical thinking, so should she be surprised by a situation that requires a quick decision she is still able to act based on the most practical response. She finds emotional or irrational responses to problems rather vexing.

Passionate: Pat is very passionate about things she throws herself into and mostly about her work. This is to the point that it is not unusual for her to spend very hours in the lab. When her supervisors don’t allow this, she has a bad habit of taking her work home. Talk to her about anything in her field and be prepared to get a lecture in the wonders of chemical compounds and their uses - at length. For good or ill, Pat’s passion for her work drives the majority of her life, there is very little she’d put in front of it.


Flaws:

Ends Justify: Pat is a firm believer that the ends of something justify the means of getting there. If something is for the greater good, then logically whatever it takes to get there is not inherently bad. If a pill saves lives, but has terrible short-term side effects for some people, then obviously the greater good is worth more than those people.

Detatched: Pat can seem to be somewhat emotionally detached. Since she’s driven by logic and views the world through a clinical lense, emotions rarely come to the fore in her determinations. That’s not to say that she doesn’t have them - she feels just as much as any other human being - she just has the wherewithal to not let them affect her judgement. She can sometimes get emotionally charged during arguments, but she’s pretty quick about dialing it back once she realizes she’s been goaded.

Fav. Food: William is a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Of course, he’s a medium rare filet mignon with roasted herbed fingerling potatoes kind of guy, but that’s the same thing, right?

Hated Food: William despises over-processed, greasy foods. You will never catch him with a cheeseburger or a pogo in his hand, let alone in his mouth.

Career: William is Destiny City’s newest art gallery director. The former director fled the city, fed up with all of the mysterious deaths, monsters, and teenaged criminals. The position was left unfilled until William Holtzmann showed interest. Despite his young age and relative inexperience, the art gallery was eager to accept anyone who was qualified.

Hobbies:

Martial Arts - Specifically, the art of Bujinkan. William’s always had an interest in physical arts. It’s much more noble participating in an organized, honourable sport, than resorting to common street brawling. William has always had a bit of a temper and has found Bujinkan to be the perfect focus for his mind, body, and spirit.

Collecting - William uses his connections in the art community to acquire unique pieces for his personal collection. William prides himself on his private museum collection of ancient weapons and artefacts.

Virtues:

Suave - smoothly though often superficially gracious and sophisticated

William is a smooth talker. He has the appearance of a gentleman, through and through. He was raised by strict parents and good manners were essential in their household. William will bend over backwards to hold open a door or pull out a chair for a lady. He’s charming, sophisticated, and well-dressed; he’s the definition of an aristocrat and proud of it.

Learned - having much knowledge; scholarly; erudite

William has spent much of his life devoted to scholarly pursuits. He boasts a Masters in Art History, as well as several diplomas in business administration and human resources. He has travelled the world to attend museum and art gallery curator seminars and has visited the world’s most famous art galleries. His education and life experiences have shaped William into a very intelligent, clever individual. He absorbs information quickly and can use that data to formulate plans of action rapidly and decisively. William is much more of a tactician than a warrior.

Vengeful - characterized by or indicating a desire for revenge, vindictive

Before coming to Destiny City, William lived a happy life with his wife and four year old daughter. Everything changed when a couple of drunken teenagers stole their lives. William has a burning need to make anyone and everyone pay for the loss of his loved ones. He has a particular hatred for teenagers and the sailor uniformed criminals that run rampant in Destiny City provide the perfect outlet for his emotions.

Cruel - indifference to suffering, and even positive pleasure in inflicting it

William was always the kind of child to pull wings off butterflies, tie earthworms in knots, or fry ants with a magnifying glass. His parents were afraid of the kind of person he’d grow up to be so they spent thousands of dollars on counselling and psychiatrists, but those only taught him how to disguise his sadism.

William takes genuine pleasure in the suffering of others. He’s usually too refined to inflict it himself, but if he can kick you while you’re down, without dirtying his boots, you can bet he will. He has no sympathy for your pain.

Condescending - showing or implying a usually patronizing descent from dignity or superiority

William believes himself better than you. He believes he has more education, more refined tastes, and a larger vocabulary than the average citizen of Destiny City. William looks down his nose at other people, particularly towards people of lower social status than him.

Hobbies:

Art - If Thorn could only do one thing forever, art would be it. He does not stop arting, it's almost compulsive. He's particularly a painter, mostly acrylics because they're cheaper and dry faster than oils, but he also works in charcoal or pastels - he prefers messier mediums, pens and pencils are too neat for him (but if that's all he's got, it will do). He admires a lot of artists: Caravaggio for the lighting, Dali for the beautiful strangeness. His own style tends to be dark, a little gothic. Common themes are still life with broken glass, or scenes with figures obviously absent, gaps and missing pieces.

Fortune telling - Thorn is fascinated by the symbolism and varied interpretations of runestones in particular, and of other forms of divination such as astrology and the Tarot, and frequently references them in his art. He doesn't consider himself a believer, but frequently does readings for himself, searching for inspirations and answers in the stones or cards or stars. One of the few things he has from his mother is a small stone amulet carved with the rune 'Thurisaz'. Thurisaz is linked to danger, giants, and warnings, but also to his name, a thorn. After a lot of reading on the subject, trying to get closer to his mother and understand her, he chooses to interpret it in its more positive meaning as a protective rune. His mother must have loved him, to put a symbol of protection not just around his neck, but into his name.

Missing persons, conspiracies, mysteries, detectives - Thorn's mother was a Missing Person in Destiny City before it became so commonplace. He doesn't remember her well. He started out collecting old newspaper clippings related to her disappearance, but soon broadened his interest to other missing persons. His old collection was kept in scrapbooks, but in recent years there are far too many mysterious goings-on to keep up with. He keeps a meticulously referenced blog, and checks police announcements regularly. He does occasionally read mystery or detective novels, because that's really the only place he can see bad guys geting caught and the missing coming home.

RPGs - Chaotic Neutral Rogue. Will steal anything that isn't nailed down. Thorn enjoys roleplaying to escape his own life and live a new one, be someone else. His characters have no limits, no restrictions. He likes PC gaming for the art (Skyrim is visually his favourite) and tabletop gaming for the way it makes you think on your feet, and really become the character. (And the way it allows him to be a jerk to the other players and still be friends with them after.)


Virtues:

Creative - Thorn uses his art to interpret and reimagine the world around him. He tends to see the world through a veil of creative potential, and it colours his understanding and reactions. He appreciates other people's creative works, and can be supportive or critical as needed. He makes a decent sounding-board. While primarily an artist, he is also creative in daily life: he doesn't take 'traditional' methods at face value, and is always seeking to know why it's done that way, and whether it can be done differently. He won't take the tried and true method without first examining it to see if there's a better solution.

Focused - Once Thorn settles in to work on something, nothing can disturb him until he's done. Whether he's gone into an art trance, or buried himself in a book or computer game, he will barely acknowledge external disruptions. When his schoolwork is of interest to him, this comes into play. He can also memorise things well. Once a person has his attention, they have all of it.

Easily A-Mused - Thorn has an eye for beauty, and he can find it in just about everything, even things not conventionally 'beautiful'. He notices small things. His compliments are frequent and sincere. He'll go out of his way to tell someone he likes their outfit, or they have a nice smile or something. It's not always to draw, but just to appreciate it. The world is his muse.


Flaws:

Obsessive - Thorn's focus can also be his downfall. He grabs hold of ideas and won't let them go, obsessing over details and reworking paintings, insisting that the image isn't perfect yet. He will draw the same thing repeatedly until it's just right, and scrap things that aren’t up to his standards, even if objectively they’re still good. He will put up with a lot of discomfort and skip meals to keep working or playing. Interpersonally, he can become a bit intense, and may come on too strong with the opinions he holds and the arguments he has. If he ends up focusing on a person too much, he can become an unintentional creeper.

Vindictive - Thorn holds a grudge, and his responses to other people’s slights can be both creative and nasty. He tends to pick his moments for revenge, and may not retaliate straight away, giving him a passive-aggressive reputation, but he will bite back eventually. He’s not above ruining other people's work or possessions, if the offence is serious enough, or drawing nasty pictures about the other person for a more minor grudge. A teacher confiscated his paints in class? Well maybe he will paint their car for them on the weekend. And see how they like that!

Temper Trap - Thorn has strong emotions, but he's not great at handling them. He bottles things up, and when he hits his limit, tantrums are thrown. When things don't work out the way he planned, or aren't 'perfect' by his standards, he gets agitated and then angry. He usually tries to channel what he's feeling into his art, but sometimes that just isn't possible (like in the middle of gym class) and he flies off the handle, yelling and becoming irrational, regardless of who he's going off at - teachers, friends, doesn't matter. He defends his 'artistic' temperament, but trying to justify it doesn't save him from the consequences of his outbursts.


PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Bright deep purple.

Hair: Long (mid-back or longer), slightly wavy, kinda messy. Dark purple. Most often left loose.

Face: Heart-shaped face. Caucasian, fair skin (what are the sun, how does tan?)
Better than half chance that there's still a spot of paint or charcoal dust on his hands or arms that he's missed cleaning up. One-in-ten chance he's got some on his face.

Clothes: Low-key gothy. Black hides the paint stains.
Thorn almost always wears a runestone pendant showing the protective rune Thurisaz, though it's on a sliding leather cord, and may be hidden under his clothes.

Calculating - Deb wants to believe in a world where people have good intentions, but she's been burned by her kneejerk kindness one too many times. When it comes to her peers, she tends to believe everything is a transaction--everybody wants something, everyone has an agenda. On one hand, it makes her aware of her own value and what she brings to any interaction, but on the flip-side she's so sensitive to the possibility that she's being taken advantage of that she struggles to open up to her peers, and tends to think of people in terms of what they can offer her. She might not be a gold digger...but she's also not wasting her time with any slouches.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Ruby red, done with everything.

Hair: Thin, greyish-purple, prone to breakage--Deb has plenty of flyaways from the sheer amount of time she keeps it up, and she doesn't treat herself with fancy haircare products.

Face: All sharp and angular, lean and hungry.

Clothes: Bland and professional, Deb leans towards thrift store buys that could function as work clothes--she's a no frills and no muss kind of gal, and if something tears or breaks, she's more likely to repurpose it than throw it away.

Sailor Scout Attack: Name.
This is your most basic attack. For example, Sailor Jupiter shot lightning bolts at her enemy from a lightning rod that hid in her tiara.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Name.
This attack is an UPGRADE of your first attack. Your first attack is more powerful, and can have a cosmetic change. Ie, Sailor Jupiter's lightning attack takes on the form of an eastern dragon when shot at her enemy.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Name.
This is your senshi's most powerful attack. It is different than your senshi's Sailor and Super attack. For instance, Sailor Jupiter's eternal "Sparkling Wide Pressure/Jupiter Thunderclap Zap" enabled her to form a disc/frisbee of lightning that she could throw at her enemy.
