Character Name and journal link Hyperborea, Transcended Knight of the Cosmos
HP: 53/100 (-1 from attacks, Article of Resilience)
Action: Using her magic to attack the monster
Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 10 + 3d6 (6) + 1 (Article of Strength) = 17

rolling

Knight Spell
She holds up her staff as the head glows silver. It creates a bright explosion of silver starlight with Hyperborea at the center. It blinds and disorientates everyone else caught in the blast with their eyes open. It causes a great burning pain in her enemies and can at player discretion leave a sunburn like wound on people.
Channeling time: 45 secs.
AOE: 10 ft

Metallic Bracelet
An antique bracelet made of some sort of metal. It has the ability to amplify magic usage; this must be plotted with your roleplay partner before use. You must ask for permission to use this item in events/ORPs. When activated, this bracelet allows the wearer to get an extra use out of their strongest magic (up to third stage). They can only recover magic they have ICly earned; a Super Senshi may not get an extra use out of their Eternal magic since they have not unlocked it. Senshi can recover one use of their strongest magic, and Knights may recover up to 45 seconds of their energy pool. Mauvians will recover one extra use of their laser and will not be so exhausted after using it the first time. For Negaverse characters, or characters who do not usually have magic, they will instead gain the ability to fire a concentrated laser from the bracelet while in battle. The bracelet will only have a few shots (no more than five) and the strength of the blast is dependent on the character’s rank: At first stage or lower, the blast feels like a harsh slap, at second stage the blast feels like a harsh kick, and at third stage or higher the blast feels hot enough that it may cause the sensation of burning or stun the opponent if hit.

Character Name and journal link Sailor Koeia, Deep Space Senshi of Miracles
HP: 39/50 (no damage taken due to her magic)
Action: Using her magic to protect herself and reflect 1/2 of the damage back on the monster
Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 11/2 = 5.5

Place Holder
Koeia Spirited Shield
Koeia calls out her attack name as she claps her hands together. She is blessed with a protective miracle as a star appears behind her head. All damage done to her is reflected back onto whoever hurt her, so she can't hurt herself to do damage to someone else but anything they do to her is directly done to them instead. She can only perfectly reflect all first stage attacks, she splits the damage of a second stage attack (she takes half, they take half), take 75% of a third stage attack while they take 25%,and she cannot block a fourth stage attack at all. This damage vanishes when the attack ends unless the other player wants it to persist.
Duration: 25 seconds
Radius of effect: 5 feet

Lanting, Squire of Ida
HP: 22/75
Action: blindly throwing a rock
Damage Done: 4
Boss HP: 542/2500

The smog sank into Lanting's lungs, made him double over and cough. He heard his a-niang tut, unhappily, at the sound, and he didn't have to look at her to know she was shaking her head.

"Xuxu, you aren't taking care of yourself, are you?" She asked. "You cannot keep doing that. Someday we're going to come and check on you and find you on the floor of your apartment because you don't take care of yourself."

That....Shunagxu had to admit, that was one of his greatest fears. The idea that he might just...die, alone in his apartment, and no one would ever know.

He shuddered.

"That's why you have to rest, Xuxu. Rest and take care of yourself."

A-niang was making sense, wasn't she? He did need to rest. He was tired so often. And he did get sick a lot, and just sort of had to deal with it, and--

Corvina's hand caught his.

"I'm right here."

He was. And his lips were on Lanting's hand, and all at once, Lanting felt a thrill up his spine and a sudden reminder--he was not, no matter how it seemed, alone.

"I'm not alone anymore," Shuangxu argued, softly, as if it mattered--because A-niang couldn't be here, she was in Hong Kong with A-die. That was right. They weren't here. They couldn't be.

"Corvina, we have to kill this thing, and then we can go home," he said. "I bet Huohuo feels really lonely, we can't leave her alone."

He turned, and smiled at Corvina, and squeezed his hand, and then bent and picked up a rock in his free hand and hurled it at the monster.

It wasn't much, but it would do.

Princess Cybele
HP: 89
Action: Ignoring the illusion, using her Eternal magic on the monster
Direct Damage: 10 + 10 + 5 (buff) = 25
Boss HP: 417

Fine. If she wasn't going to be able to easily defend people from the monster, than that left one option. She would attack. She would destroy it before everyone around her gave up their will to live.

"Cybbie!" she heard from over her shoulder. Albireo. She turned to see her wife standing next to her. "Are you fighting too hard again? You know it makes me worry when you don't take care of yourself." At least, it looked like Albireo. It sounded like Albireo. Cybele was no stranger to illusions, though, and she knew she'd kissed the real Olivia goodbye before she'd come out here tonight.

She turned away.

"Come on, love." That was Siegfried's voice behind her, but she didn't even acknowledge it.

Her magic was still running through her system, keeping her focus on the target.

"Prey's Agony," she called, and with her eyes flashing she shot her eternal magic towards the slimy monstrosity.

Sailor Cepheus of Squids
HP: 26/50
Action: Rock.
Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 5
Boss HP: 512/3500

Whatever that girl was doing seemed kind of crazy and also weird, so maybe she was possessed or something, but Cepheus didn't really know how to cure possession? And she didn't like interacting with problems she didn't know how to solve, so she just hummed to herself, picked up another rock, and threw it as hard as she could. Which was reasonably hard, when everything was taken into consideration.

She didn't like that it was dark, or how thick the smog was, or the -- voices. Which -- they couldn't be real. Right? There was no way her parents could be here, in the middle of foreign space, in the middle of a battle to the death or whatever this was. There was no way her friends could be here, considering that most of them didn't even live in the state, and they definitely weren't magical.

But -- it really did sound like all of them, was the thing. She didn't... like it.

Cepheus held her hat in front of her mouth as a makeshift mask, and scrunched her eyes closed, and tried not to think about very much at all until something in her environment changed to be more preferable.

Anakeion Squire of Castor
HP: 34?/75
Action: RETROACTIVELY HAVING BEEN IN THIS THREAD THE ENTIRE TIME, attacking boss
Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 20
Boss HP: 476

Anakeion had been feeling particularly melancholy, most of the way through this, which she was blaming primarily on the fact she apparently couldn't tell her own head from her a** the way she'd been fighting. ******** christ, what was she, a freshly-minted Page or a Squire who'd been doing this on and off for however many years? Sometimes she wondered.

She did have the idea in her head that ideally, okay, she should not smother Cepheus and instead should let her have a Safe Adventure at a Nice Distance -- oh, god, oh ********, Cepheus was almost as old as Anakeion had been when she'd awakened, which was the kind of realization that made her take a few moments off from the battle and just put her face in her hands until the urge to scream was fully past.

She wasn't not going to attack the huge super evil Chaos monster!! She was!! It was just, uh, she'd been a little late to the party getting here from the bridge, and a bunch of people were talking to thin air and were totally delulu, and ow ******** s**t ow. Gross. Nasty. Maybe she should come to more of these things but she should bring a ******** raincoat. There were Things Going On that were making her hesitant to attack, given how the people who'd been going whole hog on the assault seemed like they were generally having nervous breakdowns, soooo. She'd wait. It wasn't waiting, even, it was actually just smart tactics. (It was waiting.)

But the smog rolled in, and she couldn't quite see anyone else, so Anakeion decided oh, what the ********> -- summoned her weapon and her magic to her hands, feeling the ice crawl up her wrists -- and swung as hard as she could at what she was pretty sure was a tentacle. Maybe. It was tentacley in nature. Something felt like it gave under her brute-force strategy, so she was calling that a personal win!

If she didn't develop asthma from the smoke. That was always a possibility. And maybe it was talking to her in Cepheus' voice, sure, but Cepheus was a determined little s**t and had also been over with two responsible adults who could protect her, so Anakeion was on way too high of an antidepressant and anxiety med dosage to panic spiral over... this. Maybe if it'd said this to hear a year ago, two years ago, she would've been weaker; these days she'd gone through the ugly doubt spirals enough to recognize their approach and ward them off. Cepheus would absolutely not tell her to just lie down and take a nap. Cepheus was more likely to sit down herself and not tell anyone else about it!!

So it was. It wasn't fine? But it was workable.

Eternal Sailor Alastor
HP: 43/100
Action: Lucien is on his shoulder, probably near Selinur but cannot see him or others, using his magic on the monster; hallucinating Percy
Damage Done: Direct Eternal Magic (10 + 3d6) = 20
Boss HP: 456

The smog burned Alastor’s eyes and nose. It felt like fire down his throat and a furnace in his lungs. He was able to make out the shape of the monster but the forms of the others around him were lost in the darkness. He’d kept tabs on a few of them and if he searched hard enough he knew he could have found them. There were many energy signatures here but if he focused–between himself and Lucien, they could have found them.

He held his breath as much as he could but he couldn’t go forever with empty lungs. The smell of garbage was better than this.

Alastor tugged the sash from his waist and held it to his lips. He inhaled deeply before he passed it to Lucien.

He couldn’t put a face to the name ‘Koeia’ but if Selinur knew them he felt a level of reassurance. Familiarity was an asset here, where too many unknowns left space for doubt and uncertainty to grow.

How easy would it have been for Chaos to turn them on their own? Selinur asked a good question. Though the air was foul and he didn’t want to taste it on his tongue, Alastor answered, “I think it would be too easy, Selinur. Chaos thrives on deception. Once it takes root, I suppose anything is possible.”

Like Percy’s voice calling to him.

He heard voices in the fog. Most of them were blurred together, like a familiar hum of background noise. Most of them

He could pick out Percy’s voice in a sea of them.

Realistically, he knew it wasn’t real.

He’d played this game before. For a while, his own world had been able to deceive him. It knew Percy better than the poor imitation of any other world.

And yet, it tugged at his heart strings all the same. It let the question fester, ‘What if...’

He was still wearing his earring. He could feel Michael in his mind.

Michael could not exist if Percy did, and if Percy’s ghost haunted any corridor of the universe it would not be here.

So, Alastor knew that the soft, pleading voice of his first love was not real.

The imitation was perfect. The heavy sigh was so real that he felt it against his neck. A cold nose, too. ‘Please, it whispered. Whined, almost, in that tone Percy knew Devyn could never say no to. ‘You’re so busy. Always so busy. I can’t keep doing this.’ His voice wavered, his breath hitched. The voice was fighting back a sob. ‘We could rest for a little while, don’t you think? They’ll be fine without us. Just one day, maybe.

There was an ache in his heart and he knew Michael would feel it. He didn’t regret wearing the earrings nor did he regret that Michael was wearing the necklace. Alastor was far from an open book but these little tools kept he and Michael connected. Usually for better. Hopefully now, not for worse.

Despite the pang of guilt in his heart, Alastor resisted the urge to promise the phantom Percy they could rest for just a moment.

He’d had lifetimes to lament how short their time together was, and to regret all the time they hadn’t gotten to spend together resting.

If Selinur had found Koeia, he didn’t know. He couldn’t see nor hear in the smog and it should have been indication enough that it wasn’t Percy standing there, just out of arm’s reach.

He might have yearned but he also knew better.

All good,’ he said to Michael. It wasn’t really true. He didn’t feel good. He felt lost, and frustrated, and guilty. These were not new emotions. They had a millenia to cultivate and fester in his heart. Knowing that Percy was not real, that he was not here, brought him little comfort when he was reminded of all the times they should have shared together. How many times had they wanted no more than to spend time together but instead had been pulled apart by business or disaster?

Michael’s voice answered, ‘It’s not. You’re exhausted. Please stop. How are you going to come home to me if you’ve worn yourself out like this? It’s okay to rest. Just for a moment. You’ll be back on your feet in no time anyway, won’t you?

Well–yes, of course, but–

No, that voice had come from next to him, hadn’t it?

He was talking to Michael through the earrings. Michael wasn’t really here.

Was he? Oh, that would be just like him, though. He was sick, feverish, supposed to be resting at home. But Michael was always pushing himself, wasn’t he?

Alastor couldn’t see him in the smog so he waved his hand as if he could dispel enough poisonous air to find a fresh patch to breathe. He’d been sure Michael would be there when he did but he wasn’t.

And yet, the voice had been so clear. He felt Lucien’s weight on his shoulders. That hadn’t changed. His mind felt as foggy and rotten as the air around them so he was quick to cling to anything that might ground him.

Lucien would, of course. He’d tell Michael to go home and go to bed if he was here. If Alastor had heard it, Lucie would have, too.

If it was real.

If it was real.

Alastor hated the feeling of sinking beneath a rushing river. The water was violently churning, dragging away truth and reason.

Tell me I’m not allowed to rest,’ he said suddenly, clinging to the connection in the earring. ‘Tell me I have to keep moving. I want to hear your voice.

He wanted to rest. But at home. Not here, on some filthy, polluted world overrun by Chaos.

Oh, but to go home. They had to defeat this thing, first.

He couldn’t see the monster, not clearly. His eyes burned but he could still make out its silhouette.

He still had magic to spend. Maybe he could rest when he ran out of them.

Quote:
Eternal Sailor Attack: End of all Hope

Alastor speaks the name of his attack and every enemy nearby will feel an absolute hopelessness; pure despair will override nearly all emotion and thoughts and it is nearly impossible to focus on anything beyond the overwhelming misery. The air feels thick with gloom and melancholy and seems impossibly heavy, like it is crushing everyone within radius. Targets may feel as if there is suddenly an unbeatable obstacle they have no chance to overcome. Targets may become acutely aware of the hardships and loss in their life. The magic can make someone feel physically exhausted and can be disorienting and emotionally draining; as the despair sets in they may feel like the crushing weight of it all is bruising them or making it hard to breathe but all sensations end when out of radius or when the magic fades unless players choose otherwise. The magic has one use and lasts for 45 seconds. It affects all enemies within a fifteen foot radius of Alastor and the magic will follow him if he moves, but the effects end if the character moves out of radius.

Super Hamal of Talismens.
Action: Hallucinating.
HP: 18/75
Damage/Healing/Buff Done: Not attacking.

She knew her father was dead, how could she not remember that night? But to see him and to hear him...right here and now in front of her - how could she deny him? It was so hard not to just lay down as he was asking her to, to give up and stop struggling. As the air was filled with smog, thick and heavy, she was coughing and choking on it as tears stung her burning eyes. Closing her eyes, to try and ease the burning, she heard her father pleading with her to give up - to stop fighting. Why did she not want to just come home with her, to be a family, and that she was remaining here and how could she do this - didn't she want to return home with him.

Begging, choking on her words, she choked on a sob while denying that she didn't want to return home - because she did. She very much wanted to return home with her father. But she had to do this - she must. Why exactly she couldn't think of right now...but she knew she needed to struggle and remain here - and not just lay down.

Choking on more of the toxic smog the dark eyed senshi stumbled on her feet as she stood there unseeing due to her closed eyes.

Eternal Deep Space Selinur.
HP: 47/100
Action: Hallucinating but attacking with direct magic as well.
Damage/Healing/Buff Done: Will fill in soon. 10 + 10 =20 Direct damage.Boss HP: 436

Yes, chaos did thrive on such things. "But also, it seems others are seeing things...it could easily have them attacking others." Depending on what they saw, on how they reacted to it, he could see this all going very bad very quickly. If the chaos simply changed things a little bit, since it seemed those hallucinating were seeing family members, or others they knew, and it was getting emotional from what he could see and hear.

Tail twitching, ears moving with the sounds of everyone, the blond tgurned his focus onto the creature in front of them as it let loose a torrent of smog that filled the area. Toxic and heavy he swore he could feel it filling his lungs, and weigh them down, as he choked and coughed and bent double with the force of the coughs he let loose. He could hear the voices of those around him, could hear the ancient senshi of miracles approaching. Calling her name, choking on his words, he made to pinch his nose to atg least stop some of the toxic air from getting into his lungs.

There were other voices though, ones he knew belonged to no one here, he could hear voices he hadn't heard in so long he'd almost forgotten what they sounded like. He couldn't remember them even in his dreams, or when he thoguht of the people the voices belonged to. Yet hearing them now he knew who they belonged to - knew them so well. He'd seen them die...he knew they were dead, he'd watched their bodies consumed by funeral pyres. The smell in the air, heavy and filled with the sickening smell of a burning body, he could remember that easily enough but not their voices - not till now. Voices he thought he'd never hear again.

"Mother.." The whispered word passed his lips, no in English though, as he shook his head, coughed again, and made to remove the fabric from about his waist in order to cover his mouth and nose. This air was too much...the quality was bad. How could anyone live here and call this home? As he assumed air quality had been poor even before chaos had invaded. This was not something to be found on his home planet, even now. Hearing her voice floating to him, as if some distance away hidden by the poor air quality, he could hear her telling him to cease this fight - this was not his fight and this was not his peoples way. They did not involve themselves in the matters of others...they certainly did not go getting into fights - against anyone or for anyone. They were neutral and should remain as much!

Shaking his head he made to argue it, to deffend himself - that things needed to change and he had to change - to help. This had to be done and he wasn't going to listen to her nonsense - she was wrong.

Stepping forward, trying to remember where this smog had come from, he kept his steps slow so he didn't trip on anything. "I really don't care mother, I can't find it in me to do so." He spoke, to silence the voice of her again. As he drew close, close enough to the creature from where he remembered it being, he let loose with his magic. He knew sometghign was here,...something had caused this smog. There was a reason he was here...

"Freeze up."

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Freeze up.
Selinur will tap his foot gently on the ground, whilst calling out his attack, this attack can be used two times in battle and lasts 35 second each time. When he taps his foot on the ground it’ll cause the temperature to drop within a 7 foot radius of him. For the duration of his magic, it appears as though chilly rain is rapidly falling around him. Wherever the rain drops land will immediately solidify into a frozen glaze. He will be immune to the glaze but the ground beneath him and anyone or anything who comes into contact with the falling rain will be rapidly chilled by the layer of glaze that grows over them. The ground beneath him will rapidly become slippery, and any items near him will become too cold and slippery to pick up. The seven foot radius of his magic moves with him, however the more he moves, the less rain coats an area and the less slippery it will be. When the magic ends, the glaze will immediately dissipate unless players want to have lasting damage. The rain falls much faster at this stage than it did in his basic magic, allowing him to coat more in less time.

Character Name and journal link Eternal Fang of Chrysocyon
HP: 68/100
Action: Attacking, second stage magic
Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 10 + 12 = 22
Boss HP: 414

Well, he'd had just about enough of this thing. Enough of it, enough of the hallucinations it was causing, enough of the drag and wear on his very soul that made him want to give up.

Through his tears, he snarled, "Roaring Slash!" and launched himself at the creature to rend its odd flesh.

Quote:
Fang lets out the distinctive roar-bark of the Chrysocyon after calling his attack, and two ghostly paws extend from his arms and stay there, allowing him to swipe at any and all targets within range with his Chrysocyon claws for about twenty seconds. The scratches hurt when they hit, rending flesh and causing a small burning sensation. The damage all appears real and has the appearance and sensation of a real wound; the illusion of injury will last until his magic runs out, and forty five seconds after he activated his magic, the wounds will fade. At player discretion, the magic can tear through close, scratch armor, or cause lasting damage. This magic lasts for 45 seconds (20 seconds to attack, and targets will suffer effects for 45 seconds after he started his magic, not when they were hit by it), has one use, and can reach enemies within twenty feet.
