Something bad was about to happen. Something that she really did not want to see. Those were the two thoughts that ran through Quinta's mind as Bakemono tripped over his own feet. The sheep anthro, on the other hand was frozen with the sudden fear that clenched at her brain. She really was a completely innocent person, and what was comming certainly wasn't something that she should ever be forced to witness. Luckly two things worked in her favour and prevented her from seeing something that just might have caused her to claw her eyes from her head. Which she would have done, believe it or not, but that's just the way she is.
The first thing that blocked her view was accually a combination of two things. This combination was her height and the crowd around her. While she was able to see Raven leap overhead, getting a rather good view of the frilly panties, the crowd that moved in closer to see what was going to happen between the nun and the demon created a wall between Bakemono and herself. Because of this, she did not see what happened to the demon after her slipped to the ground. Quite fortunate really.
The second thing that saved her eyes from being ripped from their sockets was simply pure luck. When the reason why Bakemono claimed to have a bigger spear came out into the open, a chain reaction started in the crowd. The people closest to the demon fell back, and like dominos, the people lining the area around the fountain were also pushed back. Thus, by the time Bakemono settled down on his perch at the piller, Quinta had been knocked aside by the falling back crowd and had landed right in front of the simple titan. With the huge man between herself and the nude demon, she couldn't really see anything. That and her large straw hat had been knocked from behind so that it flipped up over her head and down over her eyes, blocking everything from view.
Squirming on the ground as the crowd continued to fall back away from the demon, she struggled to get up. However, her many velvet cloaks were flared out around her, and the edges were being stepped on by the jostiling (sp?) crowd. So now she was stuck. Realtively free from harm due to being on the ground between a titan of a man and Bagel, but unable to get up due to the people stepping on her cloaks. What an irritating predictiment! Perhaps she should have stuck to the bat girl Middy instead of looking for more excitement.

Not interested? Oh poor boy, in baza's mind that only meant that one had not chosen yet! This fox merchant would never take no as an answer,a nd it seemed that his new customer somehow knew this, at least he saw this sort of torture coming. The chasehad begun! Saddly enough for the oyung elf, Baza was already declaring himself the winner.
Now, surely most people would think an elf's agility would outrun this fox merchant, but due to his recent quick movements, now one could not be sure sure. Once again, he became a blur as he merely dashed infront of Wil without breaking a sweat, those powerful legs of his having speeds that rival most cars! (Which would explain how he chases even the richest of people)
As Wil was either stopping, or preparoing to dash, Baza wuickly let out what he needed to say so that the elf would hear him. "I've just gotten this new cloak today sir! for just your shoes or your shirt, you could have this cloak that will automatically give you the ability to transmutate any item!" Hmmm? Had Bagel lost his deal?
Within a blink of an eye, the fox mercahnt was showing said cloak, only to reveal it was bagel's cloak he JUST got! Was Baza lying? Or did the cloak have hidden powers only the fox merchant can see? Saddly enough, both theories were wrong, since there was yet a trick up this sneaky merchant's sleeve which none would know...
This titan was almost like a mirror, Bagel's smile was returned to him two fold, the towering man's cheeks almost twitching at the stress he was putting on them. That warm smile filled the titan with utter joy, since his sensitivity went to the extremes of both sides of the traintrack. His mind was only filled with happy thoughts at that moment, that smile making the tall man so nice and heart warming, that he gladdly said "It's alright, you can have a peice for free, I don't mind"
How simple minded this one could be, he would give anything for that sort of smile to come from everyone, but alas, no one was as nice as that. He gently went to pick up his humungous(sp?) sword, which was larger than the sheep anthro that landed near him. Saddly the girl was ignored within the titan's feild of vision, he was too happy to look down for now!
Just as he was beginning to swing the giant blade on a ece of his armor, he heard Bakemono's words echo into his ear. Ah, it's that man who ripped... The thoughts stopped there as he was turning his head while saying this, and his eyes were already scanning for the man; what they found, now that was just... shocking.
If anyone could read minds, or any of the sort, a loud 'cracking' sound would be heard, since his heartful joy was quicky replaced with a great hatred that rooted down to his childhood. He hated seeing people naked, wether they were women or men, it reminded him of a memory that was soon forgotten after being experienced, but the subconscious always takes notes on these type of things, no matter how dumb you are.
The light crimson that flooded his face was mroe apparent than some of the women's red robes in the marketplace, the blood pumping so hard it was almost amking his veins hurt. His arms were petrified in that half siwnging state, with one elbow back, and the other straight, his wrists positioned accordingly. "Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh" The sound started escaping form between his teeth, now his pearly white rectangles splitting to let him be louder. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH" He started screaming senselessly, anyone that could hear would probably head for the hills, this titan's mouth being quicker than his own head.
The scream that now emitted from this man's mouth was now undescribably loud, it echoed through the citadel as a choir of anger and hatred, and it was a quick one too, since his legs had already propulsed him into the sky, but his jump was not like that of Baza's, his was quick and straight at bakemono, making him a black and red blur as his body ripped through the air.
Wether he had hit the demon or not, his mighty bronze looking sword hit that pillar which bakemono stoud on, and soon enough, it dissapeared. Half of the pillar was mere pebbles, and thank god the massive amount of rock was there to stop him, because as he landed on the wall paralelle(sp?) to the pillar, large cracks were seen as his feet boomed onto the wall's surface, sending fissures down to the rocky ground.
Most would never realise this, but the titan did this all while his eyes were closed, not wanting to see Bakemono's nudity, and wanting to annihilate it. "APOLOGISE, RIGHT NOW~!" The words echoed through the citadel once again, at that same thundering pitch, this was truly a titan's voice.
An apology? That wsa all Bakemono needed to do for this giant man to stop his small rampage? Indeed it was, for as said before, this one was very sensitive, especially when it came to something rude. His eyes felt violated, even though rocks could barely penetrate them. The power he was giving off scared most fo the merchants away, if the demon did not apologise, it would probably be the end of the citadel.

{Look how easily I get lost! I need an RP road atlas or something... Stupid Hana is very slow and such. But she did her chemistry, so she gets brownie points for working, then playing. Fear her.}
Why did nothing ever make sense?! Poor Cherry stared at the others, totally dumbstruck. She'd only just run up, and people were screaming, yelling, and running every which way. Of course, with her childish attention span, all this was lost to the little teen.
"Maybe this is why no one ever b'lieves me when I say I'm psychic, huh?" she questioned, staring blankly at her bag of cherries. Why she was talking to a bag of cherries was beyond even her comprehension.
Well, Cherry had a motto: if you don't understand it, don't bother. Or something to that effect. Basically, she wasn't one to invest precious time and thought in unraveling situations, words, or riddles that she didn't particularly care about. It was a trait that probably stemmed from all that sugar consumption...
So, as 'Crazy Nun Lady' screeched at 'Weird Demon Dude' (as Cherry had dubbed them), the petite girl simply watched on in quiet incomprehension, nibbling cutely on her apple.
She probably could have gone on in this contented stupor for several minutes--or at least until she finished her apple--but a new set of voices drew her from her strange reverie. (Said voices had been speaking the whole time, mind you, but Cherry wasn't the most perceptive girl. Hyperactive, yes; self-aware, definitely not.) At any rate, Baza had run off muttering something about shopping, and that was enough to pique Cherry's interest.
"Ooo, ooo!" she called, waving her green apple through the air. "Wait for me! I wanna shop, too!"
With that, the teen shot off after Baza into the crowd; of course, Baza was chasing Wil, so the entire situation was already growing needlessly complicated. Cerise didn't notice. Her sneakers screeched loudly against the pavement as she flew through the crowd. Of course, at this rate...
Screech! Thunk!
Falling would be inevitable... Cherry had crashed head-on into some poor merchant and both landed in heaps on the ground. She seemed to have a knack for running into things... Thus began an embarrassed chorus: "Omigosh! I am sooo sorry! I didn't mean to! I didn't see you coming! Are you hurt?! Do you want a band-aid? I have pink ones, and sparkly ones, and striped ones!"
The poor, disgruntled man didn't get a single word in edgewise for several minutes. He finally managed to free himself, though his face was now a collage of multi-colored band-aids. (Cherry's polka-dotted backpack housed a number of rare oddities.) Cherry, herself, escaped unharmed. She waved her enegertic goodbyes to the merchant before setting off through the crowd again.
By a stroke of luck, she could hear Baza's enthusiastic sales-pitch coming from somewhere nearby. The redhead cheerfully waltzed the last few steps toward Baza and Wil; although, at this point, she'd forgotten why she was looking for them in the first place...
"Hiya!"

Zandar had a fantastically horrible view of the entire scene. His height (approximately 6 1/2 ft) allowed him to see over most of the crowd. For just this moment, he wished that he couldn't. He turned from the embarrasing sight of the foolish demon, blushing slightly, unknown to anyone. He noticed many things, but especially the sheep anthro who was on the brink of being crushed. He felt a strong urge to help.
Completely ignoring the pandamonia around him, Zandar walked towards the grounded creature. His approach sent the common people around him quickly away, afraid they had somehow incurred his wrath, especially after the giant's outburst. He knelt down next to the sheep anthro; making sure that he placed himself between her and the nude demon, and grabbed her hand then assisted her in standing. He smiled slightly and stood back up.
He began to walk away, just in time to watch for what the giant man would do next. A staff materialized almost instantly into his hand, the silver orb clutched at the top by a large, drakonic-looking claw glowing slightly. He could feel the imminent end of the citadel, and already had a dozen spells he could use to avoid being taken down with it ready in his mind, but hopefully it wouldn't come to that.

Bagels eyes grew wide as he watched the innocent giant pick up the large sword. and then larger still as he noticed the same thing the titan did at the exact same time. The noise that erupted could be felt in bagels chest. The reverberation of the sonic eruption was coupled with a deep pitted feeling for bagel to get as low as possible. It was s good gut feeling the sword that had been raised to perform an act of kindness was now swinging back with righteous intent. An intent that , had bagel not hit the ground, would have left him quite headless. hard to do great services to humanity without a head.
bagel hit the cobblestones with a loud thud. he had almost lunged forward and used his palms to brace himself. if it were not for the overly long sleeves bagel would have had no protection from the abrasive stone. Bagel looked up in time to see the titan take off out of his field of vision. The disappearance was followed almost immediately by a loud crash of stone upon stone.
He stood up quickly and glanced in the direction of the escape. the something caught his eye. The nun, oddly, was seated into eh fountain just below the jug Aphrodite poured her crystalline fluids from. bagel walked over to the edge of the fountain and reached into his pack. Producing the damp veil and offered it in the direction of the nun. " Milady, I believe in all the commotion you dropped this. bagel glanced at the item in his hand and was immediate displeased. His intimate time with the ground had soiled his shirt and now the dirt was passed on to the immaculate veil . This wont do! Bagel Closed his eyes an began chanting under his breath. If anyone was watching they would have noticed what appeared to be a freak upward current of air centralized around bagels hand. upon closer inspection one would also notice that a small cloud of dirt and moisture was forming besides bagels outstretched arm. Bagel stopped chanting and the cloud of dust fell to the ground. the veil and his shirt were now more than likely the cleanest they had been since they were sewn.
Lets try this again "Your veil?"

Bakemono had looked away from the giant, of course, not expecting him to lunge at him with such strength in order to pinpoint his nun-friend only to spot her sitting under the fountain. Crouching down for a moment to spy on him for a few sseconds, it would appear that he had gone a little too far this time around. He'd pissed his caretaker off many a time to the point of her being red in the face - however never enough for her to take this form. "God, people are such fragile people. I only teased her a little bit.." Bakemono said aloud to himself, and how right he was he wouldn't know until he heard the wall shaking cry of rage of the titan he once spoke to. Bakemono could figure that something like this was not a result of teasing. It was far too furious.
Bakemono looked away from Sister Raven long enough to see but a blur of what was once the titan. Bakemono nearly lost himself for but a split second, and understandably. He was, after all, up against a titan clad in an armor of unknown materials. However, what with the magic and such in the world, Bakemono could guess that he wouldn't be able to pierce it even with his thousands of years of skill.
Bakemono's eyes went wide for but a second in shock. Bakemono knew no fear, even up against such an opponet, however the titan's ability to move was a surprise. The titan was stronger than Bakemono - that much was obvious. He was able to move so swiftly with such armor on, it may have made any normal warrior piss himself. Insinct told Bakemono that he was in trouble, instinct also made Bakemono flee in quite a manner that would surely leave himself open for attack afterward.
One foot leaving the pole of his spear, he pressed it against the wall and removed his weapon from it's temporary grave that was the wall. He was able to fall below the titan's strike, and upon impulse he wildly swung his spear hoping to catch the only flesh that was exposed on the giant - his head - only to catch the passing blade. This futile assult resulted in a shower of sparks falling along with Bakemono - however the spear wielding demon fell much faster.
Bakemono, using his spear to break his fall, quickly took off into the crowd. Bakemono had no chance against the titan in an open space, he understood that very well, therefore he would use the giant's nature to his advantage. The giant wouldn't harm anyone else in his chase for the demonic samurai, Bakemono was confident of that.
"It seems I've caused trouble once more!" Bakemono shouted out to no one but his lady friend, Sister Prude. However, Bakemono was usin this as a warning rather than an apologey. "Stay where you are, stupid nun! I wont watch your a** if you get involved!" Blunt, crude, and to the point. It was almost sweet.

Slaping out at the feet of the people stepping on her cloak, Quinta was begining to concider just sitting there and waiting for the crowd to finally calm down enough for her to get up when a hand reached down to grasp hers. Blinking in suprise, her hat down too low for her to make out the face of the taller person who just saved her from being trampled, she attempted to get the bothersome thing out of the way only to find the braided cord that held the straw hat on her head was tangled around her curling horns. Cursing inwardly, she fumbled at the cord with thin, translucent fingernails that were manicured (sp?) into sharp little points.
Finally the cord was removed from it's tight grip on her horns, and she was able to push the hat off to fall back against her back once again. Looking up to see who it was that helped her, she caught a glimsp of his leather hat before the ground shook underneath her, signling the landing of the titan over by the nude demon. Once again she was knocked to the ground, but this time she managed to grab onto the hem of another mans cloak and pull herself up before being trampled.
Cursing her ill luck again, still having no clue what was going on, Quinta struggled through the crowd until she was by the side of the man who helped her up. Reaching up to grasp his arm so she could get his attention long enough to thank him, she was instead thrown into him by the mass of people who were now attempting to get away from Bakemono as he ran towards them and the fountain. Her face pressed painfully hard against Zander's back, she once again missed seeing the still nude demon. Perhaps her luck wasn't all bad.
Attempting to push back against the crowd that was crushing her against Zander, she struggled fruitlessly as she was unable to see. Kicking back with her hooved feet, she was rewarded with the yelps and curses of the people behind her as the rock hard bone smashed into legs and feet. Kicking harder, and pushing back with more strength then before, she finally managed to put a small bit of space between herself and Zander. Luckly her back was now to the comotion that was the nude demon Bakemono.

As the dust cleared, the blue orbs that belonged to the titan were already scanning the area for the demon, his large sword already swung back over his head, ready to do yet another strike. It seemed that his boots had their own rule with gravity, since the towering warrior was suspended on the wall for a few seconds as this occurred.
Finally, he saw Bakemono running into the crowd, trying to use strategy against this sensitive powerhouse. It seemed that the gentle giant had turned into a blood thirsty berzerker, his eyes completely ignoring the crowd around the rude man that upset him. Soon enough, the wall was destroyed by the push of his legs on the stone, causing yet another booming jump straight at the nude demon. "I SAID APOLOGIZE!" Screeched the titan as he charged for the second time.
What happened now seemed like almost a miracle, especially since the titan was charging with his eyes closed and was blinded by rage anyway. His feet landed right beside a child, meaning that the poor kid was right in the middle of the titan's earth shattering landing. While he swung his sword high and straight at Bakemono, he merely cut the top of a woman's hair as he did this, and while moving his body savagely, a few merchants were pushed away harshly. Not one innocent hurt! Was this a miracle of god? Nah, it was just lady luck always being on this sensitive man's side.
Now, most did not notice this, but the towering warrior's skin was now even more red than before. Most did not know this, but his mental state was not the only thing that was unstable, his body was irregular as well. Most of the crowd he landed in would soon feel heat coming from the enraged giant, as the level of energy in his body rised at a rate that would scare most doctors.

Wil blinked, How in all the hells did this fox outrun him? He glanced left and right and then left again, there was no opening and Wil was quite sure that any future attempts at fleeing with Baza's attention on him would end with similar disasterous results.
He turned to scan the fox prying his mind for any way of knowing how he had moved so fast, if he could figure it out and stop it he could get away... but wait, he was looking at this all the wrong way... Beat the merchant at his own game Wil thought happily.
Acting the part of a potential buyer surrendering to Baza's deal at last Wil spoke, "I have no use for a cloak of transmutation... er... and I think I prefer to be fully clothed. However..." His mind whirling Wil thought himself finally victorious, "I have been looking for a book of arcane and psionic theories by a certain author although I do not remember his name offhand..."
Wil expected the fox to have a similar book up his sleeve, however he had phrased his request in a vague manner and was fully prepared to argue the fact that the book that fox might have was not the one he wanted. You may be good Baza... but I am not prepared to lose yet...
His next thought was one of simple peace, if the merchant actually did have his book Wil would finally be able to leave in peace and return home... to wherever that was, if not... he was one merchant closer to finding the person in the world who could help him.

It seemed as though god was focusing more on Neitsabes rather than Baza, because this phenomenon only happened in very, very rare occasions. His mind searched in that extensive library of items in his bag, and the word 'arcane' wasen't clicking at all. It was a sad time for this fox merchant, especially since that word didn't really exist in his world, no, the only thing that clicked in his mind was 'rune', wich might have been the same thing, but it appeared the sneaky fox merchant would need to ask about it.
"What is this word 'arcane' you speak of, it is not in my vocabulary, can you describe it?" It was like hearing a machine that suddenly had an error with it's processing. He still used that same monotone voice, and that constant grin was always on his face, just the fact that he didn't know what it was irritated him to no end. Even with this obstacle in his face, it only made Baza even more dangerous, if Wil refused, he woudl only be more persuasive.... or even bring out "the pie".
Soon enough, what little irritation Baza had, was soon gone thanks to the sweet voice of Cerise. Her bubbly nature and innocent shopping skills always made Baza happy. "Hello there" The fox merchant said to the pink girl, still keeping an eye on Wil. "Would you like to buy something?" That deadly sentance wasen't so deadly to Cerise, since she had already encountered Baza once, at least, that would seem to be the case.

Wil smirked, having read Baza's mind he knew that he had earned a reprieve... if only for the moment. Any book could become Baza's trade item and Wil still did not want to trade.
"Of course, I would be happy to supply you a definition, Arcane magic is the art of bending reality with the use of what some call "The Twisted Nether", the plane of magical arts, tapped with the use of extensive study, natural phenominia, or in some cases raw mental energy... I am an archanist or mage in training... some difficulties have surfaced and I need the book in order to correct these flaws..." Wil's face darkened slightly at the mention of these flaws and the difficulties he had to go through but hid it well, only the most observant of sorts would catch it.
Turning to the girl that had Baza's temporary attention Wil almost ran... almost, information could be bought and Baza seemed like the prime source of such information... or Wil thought with a smirk, he could pry it from his memory without such trivialities of payment... If he could control his powers long enough to do so, the thoughts of others can be so cluttersome...

She had been standing there watching the crowd with awe and amazement. These were things she had never seen before. Never from this angle, or height. She couldn't remember ever being around so many different things in her life. So much variety. Creatures that smelled wonderful. Acted different. Felt.. weird. She had to find one. Her strings seemed to have stretched out to their fullest flowing neatly through the air. They seemed to have a better grip on reality than their wearer. They focused on all energies available to them. Not so much the strong, but the weak and normal. No one would notice if they fell ill... For a few silent moments she stood there with the moonlight sweeping over her exposed skin. She could feel the heat seep into her, and breath life into her manufactored soul. This was why she had been sent here.. to feel life. She smiled lightly, and let it wrap itself around her. She let the warm breath of life enveloped her unstable body. The sooner she got what she came for. The soon she would be able to leave. The sooner she would be.. free. For that moment that she let life control her, for that moment she released herself, she almost lost. She almost lost the game. She swayed were she stood, as her golden eyes fell shut. Life was draining out of her. Already she was loosing. A breeze pushed her, and her eyes flickered open. The wires were quickly pulling life back into her, taking it from those.. most common around her. With a heaving sigh she sat down next to her gargoyle. She would be safer up here. They would be safer if she was up there. She let one leg dangle off of the ledge, and rested her hands and head on the other. She kept watching the crowds below, her fasination(sp?) taking control once more. She watched as the scene unfolded before her. As the shouting began, and the tall man began to run. The girl.. that had yelled at him, ran too. She watched with confusion and exhilaration. She could see perfectly from her spot as the cloth vanished from his body. She stared without shame. She knew nothing of it. It was only moments later that the giant like creature yelled. It was too loud.. to pain filled. She lowered her head, as her knee went up to her shoulder. Her hands went protectively over her ears, as her face was screwed up in pain. Her lips parted into a loud shriek. The pain was too much for her body to take so soon. She continued with her screech unable to control it yet. It was only until she ran out of breath that did the screaming stop. She remained hunched over, that painful look on her face. She trembled, as her wings closed up. The inside of her wings were the more colorful part, the outside.. was black and gray. She continued to shake as her eyes flickered back open. They focused upon the giant.

Zandar whirled around and scowled angrily at the crowd around behind him, a gaze that could cause a person to freeze in fear for at least a short while. He hoped whoever was trying to get his attention had missed this gaze, and he made every attempt to hide this expression from all but those who it was diracted at.
With that minor irritation gone, Zandar was able to give his full attention to the sheep anthro he had just assisted. "Hello, did you want something?' He said in a very kind voice. So kind, in fact, that it was hard to believe this man had given the crowd such a gaze as he did before that. Although the shadow of his hat prevented anyone from seeing it, he was smiling kindly at her.
There really was a logical reason for this particular two-faced attribute, but not only would it take days to write, it would take many hours to read. It will suffice to say, for now, that he has his emotions under control, until he releases them. He can mentally shift through any emotion or state of mind at a heartbeat, the result of extensive training to master his once-shattered psyche. It would be very possible that the crowd that now stood frozen in fear in front of Zandar would never stand, nonetheless bother Zandar, again if he had not undergone that training.

Gazing up at Zander's face, Quinta didn't notice the way the crowd froze. The rest of the people could have been lifeless pieces of art for all she cared right now. When the little sheep anthro's attention was on one thing and solely on that one thing, it wouldn't waver until something more exciting or interesting happened around her. She does have quite a one track mind.
Even from her position, she could barely see his smile. It was night time, and the shadows were rather deep, but the faint curving of his lips were just visible to her dual colored eyes. Grinning happily up at him she cut a small, yet fancy curtsy. What luck for her! Another nice person to be her friend! This would be the second one after the bat girl, Middy. Quinta could hardly contain her joy as she continued to smile at the larger man.
The comotion cause by Bakemono and the titan behind her was of no longer any importance to the sheep. Such nice people were usually so hard to come by, and she couldn't risk losing a potential friend. She didn't have very many as it was. "I wanted to thank you for helping me." She raised her voice above it's normal breezy whisper so that Zander would be able to hear her over the racket caused by the jumping titan. Her eyes shone in the moon light as she stared unblinkingly up at him. Not even her pointed teeth and the dangerously sharp nails that tipped her fingers could faze the air of innocence that seemed to envelope her. "I'm Quinta. Whats your name?" The dangerous question slipped from her tounge like honey.
Why dangerous? Well you see, this little sheep anthro didn't really have any special powers to call her own. She couldn't use magic, or alchemey (sp?), or anything of that sort at all. She was also completely useless at healing when it came to both herself and others. So why dangerous? This little anthro had but one small ability that wasn't included with having the advantages of both her human and animal sides. She could bind people to her. Once a person offered her their name, she could use that to bind them to her. No matter where they went, or what they did, she could find them. And so far, the only way to break the bond was if she simply forgot about it on her own.

"Hey, Baza!" Cherry began excitedly. "'member me?" Of course, the question was almost rhetorical. It wasn't often anyone forgot someone as--shall we say?--bright as Cerise. She sort of burned into people's memories like a bad song.
At any rate, she still had every intention of shopping, but there was matter that continued to irk her. "Heeey, who's the elfie guy?" she asked, staring wide-eyed at the uncomfortable looking man. He didn't look familiar at all, which meant Cherry probably didn't know him. For all her hyperactivity, the girl had an amazing memory. But, then, she was psychic; there are some perks to the creepy dreams and such.
She gave the elf her signature beyond cheerful grin, waving with patented enthusiasm. "Hi!" she cheered. "I'm Cherry! Nice to meet you!" Her waving stopped abruptly, as she'd only just noticed the green apple in her left hand. She brought the fruit to her lips, muttering between bites, "So..." munch "You buying from Baza," munch "too...?"
The apple, at last, was finished just after her utterance of 'too.' Thus, the conversation was able to continue without strange interruptions. "Well, buy stuff! Baza makes cool things!" she announced happily. "Speaking of which, I need stuff."
And so the conversation went full circle.
Cherry turned her smile back to the fox merchant, holding out her free hand to list off the things she needed. "Ok! So, I still need a headband to go with my white dress," she began. "And confetti! I really want confetti! It's so cool! Oh, oh, and...."
Once Cherry started listing things, there was very little that could stop her. Of course, by the time she reached 'sparkly cupcake wrappers', passers-by were beginning to stare. The teen did not appreciate this at all. Her monologue ended instantly when a passing woman gave her a particularly incredulous look. Spinning on a heel, Cherry muttered a quiet, "Excuse me!" before shooting the woman a nasty glare.
"So, what's your problem?" she demanded. "Haven't ever seen a girl shop before? Mean!" It seemed like Baza would have plenty of time to deal with Wil, after all. It also seemed like a good idea to call security...
