Adhara's Journal
It's been a while since I wrote in you, hasn't it?
___I guess that's just because I haven't had time to write. Well, okay, yes I have, but I just haven't taken it. I'm either too tired or too busy trying to eat enough. But dad was nice enough to bring you to the Facility for me. So I suppose that's where I should be starting.
___I went to see Adriel a while ago, after he was kidnapped. Of course, his mother said that he needed his rest, so I guessed that meant he would be asleep, you know? So I flew up to his room, and snuck in, hoping that he would just be asleep, I could check on him, then I could leave. But it was just my luck that he wasn't sleeping. Instead, he walked into his room in nothing but a towel, locking the door behind himself, soaked from the shower that he just got out of.
___My first impulse, of course, was to just tell him that I was checking up on him and to jump out the window, regardless of the consequences. But Reena and Niita seemed to have other plans, and pulled me back. My gnawing at my own lips in complete and utter 'oh my god, I'm going to die or worse' fear, I ended up completely biting through them and thus activated my pheromones, apparently. The rest is rather... blurred. I knew that it wasn't long before I was completely clothesless, and I knew that Adriel's pheromones had ended up in the air as well. But... oh well. What happens, happens. Right?
___So I got knocked up. Now I'm... the approximate of almost two-thirds of the way through my third trimester. I'm both scared and really, really excited for the birth. It's possible that I could die, though, and that, of course, worries me a lot. But I love this baby, and the Facility's taking very good care of me. I can only hope that the baby loves me enough to let me live through the labour.
___With some of the people I've seen adopt the kids from this place, I really wouldn't feel that comfortable with her going to some other family...

Adhara's Journal
Life has certainly been... different, since Adelle came into this world.
___Of course, I'm slowly regaining the energy provided by my Diligence side, but I still have a hard time keeping up with Adelle. I think it might be because of her Liberality third; she doesn't have a set level of control for her energy. Unfortunately, that doesn't lead to her exhausting herself. She seems to have just tapped into resources deep within her brain, where she can open up the areas that expel adrenaline and other such hormones to keep herself awake and happy and hyper almost all of the time.
___I'm still attending school at the moment, but it's not going to be long before I graduate with the rate that we Facility children grow in such a short amount of time. Since I just grew, it's still going to be another two months until my dad decides I'm old enough to live on my own. I don't really mind, though; while I'm with my family, I can leave Adelle with them when I need to go to school or go to work. Currently, I've been hired on by a bookstore to restock and reorganize the shelves for three hours after school everyday, and for about seven hours on Saturdays. Despite my dad's ridiculously budget, I'd like to be able to independently pay for my own life once I move out.
___Noah wants me to find an apartment in the same building; though I'm really not sure why. I, however, have been looking at a small complex that's a good bit closer to the beach that's currently got a sign up that claims '$99 moves you in!', so I'm probably going to be checking that place out moreso than the vacant apartments in this building. It's also a lot closer to the elementary school that I went to, so I wouldn't have to worry about needing to drive Adelle to school if we could just walk there.
___Otherwise, there's not a lot to report. Adelle seems to have grown quite fond of her newly-made friends Vincent and Puck, though Puck is the one closer to her age level. I wonder, though, what she sees in Vincent, who's almost a preteen at this point. She talks about the stories that he tells, though, and occasionally recites them back to me, so that would probably be what she likes so much about him.
___Well, have to get going now; lunch break is over and I have to get to Chemistry.

Adelle squealed in excitement as her mother sat her down in the shallow-filled bathtub, flapping her wings as well as the tentacle that she was able to control, while her left one was practically raising the little girl off the ground with how tightly he was clinging to Adhara's wrist. Adelle stuck her tongue out at it and giggled softly, though that only made it cling tighter and shake more. Sighing and chuckling softly, Adhara allowed Niita to wrap around the much smaller tentacle in a loving manner, and it slowly calmed, though even Niita hesitated in letting the appendage hit the water.
Despite his own dislike of the water, however, the tentacle shivered a bit and went under along with the more nervous and neurotic tentacle.
"How was today, Adelle?" Adhara questioned with a soft smile, her wings fluttering a bit. The little girl kicked her legs before tossing herself backward, making Adhi's eyes snap wide as Reena was instantly beneath the girl's head, keeping her from hurting herself too terribly. A soft, thankful sigh slipped from Adhara's lips.
"I'was goooood," she hummed happily, flapping her wings to make the water swish in a very soothing fashion. She smiled brightly at her momma and flapped a bit more. "I sawed Ny-ny again, but onwy fow a wi'we bit. When I was watchin' Mouwan Woooooje wif Uncy Wiw; he's been weawwy sad watewy..."
The little girl went on for a while until she'd honestly tuckered herself out, falling fast asleep in her crib while Adhara curled up in her own bed, and fell comfortably asleep.
