The tech who was waiting for Adhara was the very same one who had helped her when she had come tothe facility and they has discovered the poor girl was pregnant. Bree fidgeted a bit anxiously, she had been instructed to lead the girl to meet Pol...the diligence angel. She only hoped the girl was up for it. She tapped her food a bit as she felt her foot go numb, she had poor circulation her mind had been a constant worry over the girls condition once Vampy had filled them in on what to expect. They were going to have lots of snacks around for the girl to eat...they had made sure of that.
Adhara yawned widely, running a hand through the tips of her hair, which had been trimmed recently due to the fact that she hadn't taken care of it for a while when she'd first learned she was pregnant, having not been taking care of herself properly that early on, and therefore getting really sick because of it. Also, she was supposed to be meeting her Diligence half, which she thought would be an interesting experience, given she was already hyper -well, normally- and she was only half, she wasn't completely sure what to expect with this angel. Reena was flopped over one of her arms, having always been the less active of her tentacles anyway, while Niita played with her already inflated belly with interest, as though it had been monitering the growth for a while. She smiled and chuckled to herself a bit, taking the last bite of an ice cream sandwich Noah had bought her and disposing of the wrapper in the lobby, licking off her fingers, glancing around for a moment before she found the woman who'd seen her last time. See, Vampy wasn't too bad of a person, even if he only wanted see what was going to happen through her pregnancy. He did, after all, let her see only the techs that had seen her the day she'd found out about it. And, given his whole 'needing to eat' thing, Noah had been far from controlling about what she ate anymore, or when. Even if she got up in the middle of the night on ocassion to chew on a piece of raw chicken, though that was as close to craving anything bizarre as she'd really gotten. By her standards, at least. She smiled happily at the tech, giving her a friendly wave and walking over, careful not to try to go too fast, as she hadn't really gotten used to the added weight, and doubted that she was going to in the near future, given she'd inflated like a balloon within only a week or so. She wasn't that big yet, but it was still obvious that she was expecting at this point. "Nice to see you again," she said sweetly, wings fluttering a bit behind her. "Are you gon'na take me to see Polly, then?"
Bree's eye's widened a bit as she appraised the girl's condition, Vampy hadn't been kidding...she only hoped the girl was going to be okay. SHe was too sweet to get hurt by this. She forced teh worries from her mind and smiled politely. "Yes I am taking you to her. We have a lunch set up for you and her....I ..hope your hungry." She teased a bit, wondering and craving to know how she had been doing so far. She tried not to stare at her stomach, but it was a bit obvious. "Ah..sorry you have..just gornw so big since i saw you last." She apologized, she then offered the girl a hand. "I am Bree...I didn't get to tell you last we met." She informed Adhara as ..well..the shock of the pregnancy had kinda overrulled formality.
Adhara chuckled slightly at the teasing and rolled her eyes. "Don't worry, I am. I'm always hungry nowadays," she said, laughing a bit. The initial fear that she was going to just drop dead any second had dissapated quite a bit by now; her main reason for worry back then was because she had been throwing up frequently and was exhausted all the time, because she didn't know what it was like to be pregnant, and didn't know what a partially demonic child needed while it was in the womb. And now, she knew, so it was a lot easier to rest easy and eat a lot, rather than trying not to eat for the sake of not getting sick. She smiled brightly at the apology, and shook her head. "Don't worry, you don't need to apologize. It's not everyday you see... well, a kid like me walking down the street," she said jokingly, pressing a hand to her stomach curiously, a smile breaking out on her face despite trying to hold it back. She took the girl's outstretched hand and shook it gently. "Nice to meet you, Bree," she replied politely, all smiles it seemed. "I'm assuming that you know my name already," she added, sticking out her tongue before stretching her arms a bit. "Can I have a hug, too? After all, you've been really nice, 'specially compared to most the other techs around here." That, and she'd been craving affection more than usual, which was starting to get annoying, but as long as she didn't rape anyone, she didn't really mind.
Bree was a bit surprised by the request for a hug, she nodded her head and then stepped forward and wrapped her arms around the girl gently. Trying very hard not to press against her stomach for fear of causing her discomfort. When it was over she stepped back and then nodded her head. "yes...well we best not keep Pol waiting she tends to figid after a while." She declared as she then moved in the direction Pol woul dbe contained. The area which held the angels was wide and open, an indoor garden as well. Pol's favorite place was the garden so a table and chairs had been set up there for their meal. The diligence angel hadn't been warned that Adhara wwas pregnant and now was currently folding the napkin in front of her into a swan. She looked up as she heard them appraoch her eyes widening only lightly when they landed on Adhara. Abandoning the swan she stood up and then gave a squeal of delight and moved to give Adhara a gaint hug. "Oh my! Your so big!" She coo'd int he girls ear a bit loudly.
Adhara accepted the hug gladly, letting go of Bree and nodding a bit, following the other with a bit of a chuckle. "I know what's that like..." she commented softly, smiling at her belly in a 'you know what I mean' sort of way, implying that her occassional fidgetiness and lack-of-anything-to-do was the fault of her unborn baby. Oh, well; didn't really matter, as she would have plenty to do by the time this thing was born, wouldn't she? Adhara's eyes brightened when the entered the garden area, such a contrast to where the demon's were kept. She smiled as they approached the table, but was taken just a little off-guard when the woman jumped up and gave her a big hug. Her wings fluttered, stretching out to steady the girl on her feet. Adhara blushed lightly at the comment, chuckling a bit. "Well, I would certainly hope so," she said with a bit of a laugh as Reena and Niita hugged Polondraeli around the waist, too, happy to have someone close. "After all, if I was still small, there wouldn't be much room for a baby in there," she said, giggling a bit and hugging Polly back, standing on tiptoe to lean her torso forward, so as to avoid hurting her belly.
The angel pulled back her fingers reaching to touch her stomach instantly only to hover a few breaths before it, her gaze looking up in earnest. "Y..you dont mind do you?" she inquired asking premission to touch the girls stomach. Even if she was excited she wasn't rude. Bree laughed, she had expected Pol to be excited but not estatic...maybe there was just something about babies that made angels act like they were on a high. "Why don't you two go to the table? I can bring the food. ANything you want Adhara?" She inquired wondering if the girl was craving something in particular.
Adhara laughed at this woman -her own mother, in fact- and her surprising immaturity, that wasn't unlike her own occassional hype episodes. "'Course I don't mind," Adhara said easily, shrugging a bit. She never understood women who got all defensive when someone touched their stomachs; they were strange, she thought. She lifted up the high-waist, ruffly orange dress that she was wearing, so that Polly could actually touch her stomach directly, as many people always wanted to do; she had shorts on with it anyway, so it didn't matter too much. Adhi looked over from her meeting toward Bree, thinking for a moment as her stomach grumbled a bit, and she giggled sheepishly. "Um... A chicken sandwich maybe? And some pizza. And... strawberry ice cream?" she suggested with an innocent face toward the tech. "Unless it'd be hard to get; then just whatever you can get ahold of." She laughed a bit. Sure, she did crave things on occassion, but she noticed that as long as she ate, regardless of what it was, she would feel better. And chewing on raw chicken had satiated most... 'primal' urges, none of which she had at the moment, and was very thankful about that. It would have been odd to ask for raw meat in a housing area for angels. She smiled down at Polondraeli and tipped her head. "Is there anything that you would want, Polly?" she asked, not wanting to assume that the woman would want exactly what she wanted. After all, despite being related, didn't mean that their tastes were going to be exactly the same.
Pol shook her head giving a tilting giggle that seemed musical and she coo'd as the belly was exposed to her. Her long fingers reached out and stroked along the tightening skin. "oooh you are growing so fast...and your so healthy. She is taking very good care of you." she coo'd at the belly as if she expected the baby to actually be able to understand and hear her. She lingered on the stomach a bit stroking it before finally she stood up and then took Adhara's hand. "anything is fine dear, you need to tell me everything! Have you picked out names? I suppose its too soon to know the gender...whats it like? " she babbeled as she led the girl to a chair and allowed her to sit down.. Bree only laughed a bit and then shookher head. "You'd be surprised by what you can find here...I'll be back." She offered and moved off to find the lsit of items the girl wants plus other things in case her stomach changed her mind.
Adhara bit her lip, trying to stop smiling but being unable to. Sure, attention normally made her feel happy, but this was one of those weird, elated happy's that involved the inability to stop smiling and laughing at random times, whether inappropriate or not. It was like being drugged! She let her dress drop when the angel was finished looking at her stomach, chuckling at her 'anything is fine' comment as she followed the other to the able. She was, understandably, relieved to be off her feet, and giggled childishly at the mountain of questions, smiling from behind her hand, one tentacle wrapped around her stomach, the other around her arm. "Well, I don't really know about names yet. I don't have a lot in mind, but I know that I want it to be meaningful in some way. Like, I was named after a star, so another star name would be a good one. And the father and I -me and Adriel, I mean- we both have similar names, so another that's still remniscent of one or both of our names would be a good choice as well," she said, chuckling, glad to have found someone who talked as much as she did and would be able to keep up better with quick conversation than some people could. "Hmm... what's it like..." She smiled and laughed a little bit, giving a half-shrug. "I don't really know how to explain it. It wasn't really that fun at first, 'cause I didn't know that I was s'possed to eat so much and I just thought that I was sick, so I would be all tired or throwing up all the time. But when Mr. Vampy told me what was going on in more detail, I understood better, and since I started taking better care of myself, I've been feeling much, much better." She chuckled. "It's kinda weird at times, though, especially when I get really big all of a sudden. Now I feel all mothery and kiddish at the same time- like, I'll want to play and have fun like I did when I was small, and at the same time I'm drawn to taking care of things and making things for people and- Oh!! That reminds me!!" The girl held up a finger for a moments pause, taking a backpack of one shoulder and dropping it to the ground, digging through it for what she was looking for. "I know I put it in... Hah!" She pulled out a long, wide scarf knit from rainbow-pastel wool with little tassels at either end, and handed it over to Polly.
"Here; I made this when I learned that my dad had arranged another parent meeting; Almas seemed to like his well enough, so I thought I would make one for you, too~" she giggled a bit. "Just, this one has more colours, 'cause I didn't know which one would match you the most."
The woman listened to everyword intently and resisted the urge to interrupt when she really wanted to. It was very interesting so this Adriel was the father? She hadn't met him. He must be pretty happy too, Adhara seemed tobe. "No my dear I don't mean to sound like the...overbearing parent...but you are a bit young...do you think your ready for this?" She asked after the girl was finished with her speech about the names, she was surprised as well by the kind gift she was being offered. Taking it in hand she squealled in delight. "OH my its beautiful darling!" She exclaimed getting up at once and moving over to give ther girl a hug around the shoulders and a quick kiss against her cheek. "Thank you very much. You are a very sweet girl. Adriel is lucky to have you as a partner." she murmred remembering the name like it had been imprinted on her brain. "now you know i've been thinking I think you need to have a baby shower, you know...to get gifts and talk about the birth coming ahead play silly games and what not." she continued at full tilt in her concept. The theme could be stars! she was already giggling to herself as she moved back to her chair and then dragged it around so she could be closer to the girl. When setteled she instantly dropped her fingers lightly on her stomach and tickeled her.
Adhara laughed softly, though this one wasn't exactly as happy as the other's had been, letting a sheepish smile show through. She winced slightly, however, when Polodraeli mentioned Adriel being her partner. "Well, actually..." she started, Reena nuzzling against her cheek and getting pets for it. "I wasn't really planning on getting pregnant in the first place; that's why I thought that I was just sick for a while. Actually, I wasn't even planning on... that for a while, either. All of it kinda just... happened, 'cause I went to make sure Adriel was alright after he got kidnapped," she commented, only granting Polly a sheepish, sidelong glance.
"I suppose our sins got the better of us- especially given that he's part Lust as well," she said, shrugging her shoulders a bit, before shaking her head and giving a smile. "That aside, I think I'll be alright. I've been taking really good care of myself, which is actually pretty easy given I can't really do much else anymore.
"Baby shower...?" she asked, blinking a few times and tipping her head. Oh, right- she knew what those are, at least from what movies depicted of them. She chuckled a little bit. "Well, would you be setting it up?" she asked, rhetorically, a smile on her face. "That would actually be pretty fun, I think." She giggled at the tickling smiling and squirming a little bit, before she reached out and attempted to tickle the woman around the ribcage, where most people seemed to be ticklish.
Pol nodded her head enthused by the idea. "yes yes! I would love to do your baby shower! Just tell me who you want invited and I will get started!"she squealed happily having something to PLAN was wonderful! Something she could completely focus on for a while. She gave a small laugh that twittered from her lips as she was tickeled in response. Bree appeared with a number of things in hand, a couple of pizza slices and other things Adhara had requested plus a cake and some thing for them to drink. Punch. She was acompanied by another tech who helped with all the food. She set things down before the two noticing just how comfertable the two seemed. "I will be back later. " she beamed happy that Adhara looked happy.
Adhara laughed happily at the idea of a baby shower. A party for her unborn baby, games and all? That sounded fun, even if it mean that she had to be pregnant, which wasn't her favourite feeling in the world. She would have stuff to do, after all, which would be really fun, too, especially given she never really had any chance to do anything, given she was supposed to stay off her feet. "Um, who to invite, who to invite..." she said to herself, thoughtful for a moment. "Oh, I don't know!!" She giggled, all of this randomly starting planning on such short notice. "Wynni and Ebony, definitely. And, um... Lironax. My dad and my little brother, Aludra. And 'Zuba, and Almas! and... well, I guess Luthor, too, since he's Almas' little boy... and Adriel, too, I suppose; he should know, after all," she stated all of this with a smile, listing most the kids off on her fingers. She smiled up at Polly. "Is there anyone you want to invite, too?" She smiled brightly when the food arrived thanking Bree multiple times and smiling brightly after her, waving when she left. She took a piece of pizza and bit into it, savouring the taste.
Pol only gave the girls stomach and rub enthused it seemed by the natural glow of life growing in the girl. She looked up when asked and shook her head. "no dear its your party not mine." she stated semi serious before she laughed gayly. "it will be so nice to.hear the pitter patter of feet. You must bring him or her by once they are born!" the angel squealed at the thought.
Adhara giggled happily at the angel's happiness, pressing a hand to her enlarged stomach and smiling softly. It was still a strange sensation, to have an actual life form growing inside of her. What was Vampy thinking, not making the kids sterile? What if her child ended up having metal wings or something, then what would happen? She smiled and chuckled a little bit.
"Well, sure it is, but you probably have some nice friends, right? 'Nd anyway, it'd be really fun to meet more people at my party, even if it's all supposed to be people I already know!" she said happily, wings fluffing up a bit. Her eyes brightened at the mention of bringing her baby here once it was born. "Of course I'll bring it!" she squeaked, wiggling a bit in her seat and allowing herself another bite of the hot food on the table. She giggled a bit more at the thought of Polondraeli being a grandmother. "After all, they'll have to meet their grandma~" It was odd to think, however, that the child would have... a lot of grandparents. Her foster father, Adriel's foster mother, Adriel's real parents, her real parents. Blah- so many people!!
the angel paused a moment as if the word was just registering in her mind. "oh adhara..if only youd been born natturally...it would of been so different raising you mysel." she sounded sad but pushed the thought aside. She giggled again, "yes..a proud grandmother i will be."
Adhara chuckled nervously with a weak smile toward the angel. "But I would have been a different person then. Or... angel, in that case, huh?" she suggested, letting Niita curl just a bit around one of her fingers. Reena reached out and pet Polondraeli's cheek in a comforting fashion. "But Noah's been really good to me- my guardian I mean. And at least we're allowed to meet with our real parents, right?" she said with a soft smile on her face. "I mean, before we're adults. In normal foster situations, my dad says that the kids don't get to meet their parents until they're eighteen." She reached out to hug her biological mother and giggling slightly. "I'm glad that you'll be proud," she said, chuckling once again. "I think my dad's hair is already turning grey at just the thought of being a grandfather."
Pol gave a small laugh as she hadn't meant to be a downer on the conversation. "Aye dear you would be different..I am just glad you are who you are and are...happy." She said honestly, she was happy that the girl was healthy and now even having a baby of her own. Perhaps...a bit...too young to be having a baby, but she wouldn't let that note ruin her mood. The girl needed as much support as she could get. The diligence angel picked up a cool drink and took a sip. The technician Bree was staying out of the conversation to allow them to have some time to themselves.
Adhara nodded happily in response, fluffing up her wings a bit. She tipped her head as she looked over at her mother curiously. "You're happy too, right Polly?" she asked, blinking large amber eyes with interest before stretching out to pick up a chicken sandwich that she'd asked for, taking a bite out of it before putting it back down. She looked around the room thoughtfully, before catching sight of Bree. She swallowed quickly, smiling brightly. "Oh! Bree can come to my shower, too, right?" she asked. "I mean, in case of emergency and stuff I would need a tech there, too, I know, but could another person do that, and she can be at the actual party with us, too?"
The woman looked a bit starteled to be included in the conversation suddenly. She only nodded her head slowly with a small smile. "Yes..sure if you want me there." She murmured feeling touched by the girls kindness. Pol memorized Bree's name into the list of people to invite. "Hmmm when is the baby due? I need to make sure I am ample prepared to have your shower ready before you give birth..or would you rather wait till after the birth? Are you going to find out the sex of the child?" She asked not aware that it was only going to be a short period of time before Adhara was ready to pop.
Adhara laughed a bit, smiling pleasantly at her mouth and looking down at her stomach. She jumped back through the journal she'd been keeping for herself. "Umm... by now... I only have about three weeks left," she said, chuckling softly. She was worried about those three weeks, too, because the baby was supposed to get a lot bigger REALLY fast. Along with that, given her pregnancy wasn't really stable with her being half-angel, half-demon, the last week or two were going to be... complicated. "I don't know about having it before or after, though. And I'll probably learn at my next appointment, but I don't know as of yet." She smiled a bit. "And whatever the gender, any colours of anything would be fine," she said, giggling softly. She didn't want her child to really care about colours being assigned to certain genders, even if it meant that her child's gender might be confused for a while.
Pol nodded her head looking a bit worried a moment before her smile was back on her face. "Well if you ever need a baby sitter...I have all the time in the world." She commented as she outright ignored the question of her being happy at the facility. She didn't really have a choice...sure she missed heaven...but she cuoldn't go home.
Adhara laughed softly, smiling at the woman. Originally, Ebony had been the one that she was going to let babysit, but it was true that the other girl was quite a bit younger. Polondraeli, however, was an adult, and an angel no less. She trusted Ebby, sure, but Ebony needed to live her life, while Polly was sort of... stuck in here. She didn't have anywhere to go. That thought was kind of... not really a fun thing to think about. Kinda like how Noah hadn't let her out of the house a lot since she'd gotten pregnant, given how much rest she needed. "Of course. Thank you," she said graciously, before looking over at Bree, taking another bite of the mostly-finished slice of pizza. She'd been her for a while, and though she really didn't want to leave her mother alone here again, she would have to be leaving soon. "I'm really glad that I could meet you," she said sweetly, a gentle smile on her face. "This meeting was really fun."
Pol looked a bit sad but brightened as she remembered she could get started on invitations and deocrating once Adhara left. "Of course dear, you are welcome to come visit anytime you wish." She offered laying a hand o the girls arm. Bree tried not to glance at her watch they had been together a while and though she didnt want to rush them she also had other things she needed to do. Standing brisjly Pol opened her arms so shse could get a hug from Adhara. "I guess this is goodbye for now." She said a bit sadly.
Adhara nodded a bit at the offer and smiled, before she stood -with a bit of difficulty- as well, taking a few steps forward to hug her mother around the waist. "Don't worry, I'll be sure to come see you again soon. After all, I have a baby shower to come to, right?" she said with a bright smile, glad that she would be able to see the woman again, and soon, no less. "I'll miss you," she said, smiling a bit as Reena and Niita hugged the woman as well. She pulled back, her tentacles letting go with a bit of regret. She waved a bit, and her tentacles waved as well. "Byebye, Polly~"
