Finally, the little girl was starting to get tired, around her third day of being awake, only a week and two days since they'd left the Facility. The content and tired smile on Adhara's face was definite proof that she was glad her little girl was finally not as hyper and active as she'd been earlier in the day. She was still making excited comments on everything she saw, but they didn't have as much energy, and they were definitely lacking in articulation, however minimal her's already was. Even her gosling wings, that were almost always outstretched as far they could go, were folded up against her back in a very lax manner.
"Come here, baby," Adhara said quietly, bending down and gesturing for Adelle to come over, which the little one did without much argument. Coming back from the tree, where she'd chased a squirrel to, she wasn't hesitant to crawl into her mama's arms and get lifted up off the ground, both her tentacles wrapping around Adhara as best as they could reach, making the teenager chuckle softly. Sure, this was not what she'd imagined when she'd thought about having kids a while back. But it was even better than she'd thought it would be a couple months before, when she'd been thinking about how easy it would be just to drop her baby with the nearest friend who had room. Nope, it certainly wasn't like that... except when Adelle was up the entire night.
Flecks of sunlight reached through the tree's new leaves, the horizon a brilliant orange as the sun slowly set behind the far-off mountains. Holding her little girl close, she raised a hand to momentarily brush it through recently-cut hair curiously, a bit of a smile coming to her face as her arm wrapped around her baby girl one more time. She went back to the bench where she had Adelle's toys and changing supplies and all the other things that she needed to keep with her, taking a seat and sighing softly. It was a nice evening, nice enough that it was still warm out, even with the sun setting. There was no reason to hurry home just yet.

Adriel himself had been trying to keep active as he was nearing the end of his own pregnancy. He was ..somewhat getting use to the stares he received from people when he went out of the apartment though still seemed rather...taken aback when people directly asked him the dreaded question. Are you pregnant?
It had come to a surprise in the least the pregnancy ...as well how Duncan had reacted. He had expected anger...instead he got a rather over protective lover instead. Not that he hadn't been pleased with the latter outcome...he just hadn't expected it.
He groaned as he felt the baby move inside of him...one would think he would be use to this feeling by now...but no. It still made him feel a bit ill every time..ill and thrilled. A strange combination. Chii and Fuu had taken it upon themselves to act as a belt to keep some of the weight off of the poor man's back. He was so absorbed in his thoughts it took him a moment to reconize Adhara and he did a double take seeing her. Wow..she sure had...uh..grown. He blinked some seeing the young child with her and wondered if her father or mother had adopted another child from the facility.
He felt awkward...after all the last time they had met...they had..done..well... some things he regretted. Should he say hello?
He stood awakwardly a moment or two and then determined not to let things remain awkward between them he moved over to say hello. He wondered idly what she would think of his current situation.

Okay, it was official: Taking a Diligence baby off her feet was a bad idea, and now she knew this for future reference. As soon as the little girl had been off her feet for only a few minutes, her mind was racing as fast as her mouth, bouncing every so often in her mother's arms, her little gosling wings fluttering a bit, as though they hoped that if they tried enough they might get her off the ground, or at least up higher. She was firing off question after question, and Adhara had to answer them as best she could, though she didn't really know the answers all that well.
"Mama, why's da grass gween?"
"Because there are parts inside of it that take in sunlight, and chemicals that are created from the sunlight being processed turn the grass green."
"Why's watew bloo?"
"Because light is made up of many different colours and the water filters out all of the colours except blue."
"Why's da sky bloo, too?"
"...you know, sweetheart, I'm not completely sure," she said with a soft laugh, watching the sky.
"Wuww... why's it owange now?" she asked, blinking those pretty eyes of her's. But Adhara had caught sight of a pair of those same pretty brown eyes on another person who definitely wasn't her daughter. "Mama? Hewwooo?" Adelle asked, bouncing a little bit in her mother's arms to try and get her attention, her left tentacle poking at her mom lightly and her right one waving in front of the young woman's face.
"Adriel!" she said in surprise as soon as she'd snapped out of her trance, pushing her glasses back up on her face. The little girl blinked curiously, looking over at the overweight boy and tipping her head to the side, not sure what to make of this. She'd only seen women who looked like that after all. Adhara's mind was on other things, however. Mainly, what to do with Adelle. Of course, she wasn't going to hide her or anything; it was a little bit late for that after all. But... she wasn't just going to come out with the fact that the girl was Adriel's. Oh, this was complicated.
But Adelle, ever the ice-breaker, was the first to make the best of the situation. Stretching her wings and tentacles, she waved wildly at the boy with one of her hands. "HEWWO ADWIEWL!!"

Adreil gave a shy wave as if still unsure of weither it was a good idea to approach Adhara. But the little girl in her arms was too adorable, although she looked a bit too young ...the facility was getting rid of their kids sooner and sooner it seemed.
"Hello there." He greeted softly Chii continued to support his stomach but Fuu was too curious with Adelle. It reached towards the little girl gently stroking one of her tentacles in greeting. Adriel was happy to see that Fuu was behaving he was however surprised that the little one in Adhara's arms was...also a lust spawn.
"Good to see you Adhara." He said after a moment geting a bit closer so he could look at the girl a bit closer. She sure was cute, his hand went to his own stomach wondering what it was he was having..the ultrasound hadn't been clear...other than telling them the baby had tentacles.
"And who is this little cutey." He asked with a bright smile on his face.

Reena and Niita were apparently the first to realize that there was something very off about this situation, while Adhara remained momentarily oblivious, still trying to figure out how she was going to explain someone who was only a baby, too young to be released from the Facility, who had mixed traits of both of them. Though who knew? Maybe Adelle would end up having Adhara's wings, then she could just be a Diligence / Lust child with a bit of Liberality thrown in there? But wait... no, that wouldn't work, either, not with those eyes of her's that definitely didn't belong to either J'her or Polondraeli. Oh, geez, she really was in trouble with this one.
The tentacle that was tickled at by Fuu made Adelle giggle a bit, reaching out with it to hold on to the tip of the much larger tentacle and wiggle a bit in her mom's arms. "Hewwo dewe..." she said softly, reaching out to gently pat the top of the foreign tentacle, flapping her little fuzzy wings happily behind her at the feel of it. After all, aside from her tentacles and her mother's, this was the first time she'd seen ones that were this same kind. Wait... no, nevermind. Lir had one like that, but his was covered in white marblies, her mom said. And Puck had tentacles, but they had armour, so that was different, too. Oh, well. These ones were still really neat-feeling.
Reena and Niita were busy, Niita prodding at Chii curiously, wondering why it was so... 'calm', especially from what he recalled after her last encounter, while Reena was prodding at Adriel's belly, the first to really notice the fact that the boy was gaining weight around the middle exactly as Adhara had been for the three months which she hadn't seen him in. What surprising timing, that she should only find him after she'd given birth but before he had, which was apparently something that would be happening soon, it would appear.
"It's nice to see you again, too, Adriel," she said, even sounding a bit nervous, but having gotten a good bit better about biting through her lips when she was nervous. That never had had anything but disastrous affects. She gasped softly as her daughter reached out with her little fanged teeth to bite into Chii, pulling her back slightly and making her squeak a bit, releasing her hold on the tentacle with both hands, though her own tentacle remained closed around it. The little girl's brown eyes welled up with tears, and immediately Reena was up by her, offering herself for the little demon's teething. The tentacle had obviously gotten used to this, as it had bandaging wrapped around the end of it, which was immediately what the girl began gnawing on, fluttering her wings happily and releasing her tentacle's hold on Chii.
"This is Ade-" that was when she finally noticed what should have been impossible to miss. That impossible to misinterpret bulge in Adriel's stomach that was nearly the six she'd been at the end of her third term. Adelle looked up at her mother curiously, pulling her mouth off the tentacle, while Adhara just stood, stuck with her mouth open, blinking her amber eyes in honest shock. The little girl looked over at Adriel, then gave him her best, most charming little smile, pointing to herself with her index finger, just as Aludra always did.
"Adewwe Mawiana Bee-arr," she said proudly, before glancing toward her mother. "Wight, mama?" she asked, as though she still wasn't too accustomed to saying her full name. She wiggled her tentacles a bit, stretching her arms to wave them near her mom's face. "Maaamaaaa-" she was cut off when Adhara finally came back to her senses, eyes slowly drifting from his stomach to his face, squinting slightly as though she was hoping it was just a trick of her new glasses.
"Adriel... are you pregnant?"

Adriel was oblivious to the obvious...to him the little girl in Adhara's arms was just a lust child mixed with something else; and though both his tentacles abhored being chewed on (due to some rather nasty bites from a child name Slythor when he was younger); Fuu didn't seem disturbed at being gnawed on by Adelle. In fact when Reena moved to to accept the chewings it was as if Fuu had been put out. It nudged the other tentacle as if annoyed at having the attention stolen away from it.
"ah Fuu...leave them alone.." Adriel muttered though the limb seemed intent to get the little girls attention back. He raised an eyebrow noticing the forhead slits on the young spawn. Oh great...he would of thought the facility would of stopped allowing that particular ability being brought forth. he knew for a fct how ...much trouble it could get one into.
When ....Niita however prodded Adriel's rather massive stomach Chii seemed to move protectively to stop the poking. Like a protective lioness trying to guard its cub. It moved to wrap around the other tentacle in a not so friendly manner.
"Chii! stop that!" Adriel grumbeled, he didn't want Chii to hurt any part of Adhara...
Meanwhile Adriel's face had gone several shades of red when Adhara's rather blunt question burst into the air before them. Sure he had expected it...but it still made him feel...uncomfortable every time he was asked.
There was...several minutes of silence...awkward silence as Adriel swallowed and nodded his head slowly.
"Ah..haa...ha...ye..ah.." he answered finally placing his hand on his stomach nervously.

"Fuu~" Adelle murmured sweetly when the tentacle was reprimanded, abandoning Reena who sort of just hovered before going down to wrap around Adhara's stomach habitually, though there was nothing there that needed to be protected anymore, given the fact that Adelle was already here and with them rather than in the womb. But it would take her a while to get used to that idea, just like the fact that she could actually wear her old dresses once more. Well, actually, most the dresses she had now were newer and a little different, but that wasn't really the point she was making, was it?
The little girl giggled a bit, before leaning forward rather severely to wrap both arms around Fuu in a big hug sort of way, making Adhara lean forward a bit dramatically, ending up even closer to Adriel, and given the fact that she was still sitting down, that made things a little too awkward in her personal opinion. Adhi laughed nervously and stood up, though Adelle continued clinging to the tentacle tightly, giggling happily all the while.
"I... think she wants you to hold her," Adhara said hesitantly, feeling rather strange about this. Letting her father hold her when he honestly didn't know that she was even related to him. It just felt... strange. Especially given the fact that Adriel was carrying someone else's child along with that. Some part of her bordered on jealousy, though she knew that she'd never really liked Adriel in that sort of emotional-attachment way. It was just... weird to see the father of her baby carrying the child of someone else. She didn't like that idea much.
She passed the girl over, and Adelle immediately clung to the older male, fluttering her wings happily. She didn't usually feel comfortable when she was in the arms of other people, and she tended to fuss and make little sad noises, but apparently Adriel had a certain way with children. Adhi winced when Chii wrapped around Niita, reminded of their first meeting though it was a bit of a blur after everything that happened. Instinctively, her wings flapped a bit, pulling her back and barely slipping the tentacle out of Chii's grasp where he then jabbed at the other tentacle irritably, making sure not to touch it, though.
"Chii!!" Adelle squeaked, though her arms were still wrapped around Fuu, she reached toward Chii with one of her tentacles, enjoying all the attention that she was getting and basking in it as anyone with her combination would. Adhara, on the other hand, laughed weakly, Niita rejecting Chii in favour of tickling the baby, Adhara smiling a bit, nervous about this whole encounter. "That's... interesting, I suppose. I hope that it hasn't been too hard on you," she said in a sympathetic manner, instantly regretting it. She didn't want him to know that she'd been pregnant, right? Then why hint at the fact that she had been.
As though on impulse, she reached down with one hand, fingers outstretched, though she paused a moment before touching the other's belly, after seeing what had happened to Niita. She looked at Chii, then at Adriel, smiling softly. "You don't mind, do you...?"

He looked a bit surprised yet pleased that the little one wanted to be held by him...though his own stomach rather headed the experience he held the little girl as best he could. Fuu helped by detangling itself from the girls arms patting her lightly and then moving to support her bottom acting as a ledge. Chii on the other hand continued to guard his stomach in a nearly possessive manner.
Though the little ones small tentacles reached for Chii...chii finally succumbed to the desire to touch and stroked each tentacle lightly in a nearly motherly fashion. Adriel just found it interesting holding the child, she didn't weigh as much as he thought.
"She is awefully young.." he commented though he gave Adelle a goofy smile before moving in to nuzzle her for-head. He raised an eyebrow at Adhara's 'sympathetic observation before he replied slowly.
"Well...I guess I am doing alright. Being male it tends to be rather difficult..my balance is always off..something to do with my center of gravity or the likes.." He murmured wrapping an arm around Adelle and stroking her hair with the other hand.
"How long have you had this little cutey?" He inquired something was nagging the back of his head..though he could figure out what was bothering him or the cause of it.

Adhara gently pressed her fingertips to Adriel's stomach, the touch barely a featherweight as she blinked curiously. How strange that Adriel, of all people that she knew, was the one male to end up getting pregnant. Something about that seemed... ironic was the word? But then again, maybe that was just something with the spawn from that crazy place. Maybe all of them could get pregnant. She blinked harshly and let her hand fall. That... would definitely be strange, wouldn't it? She shook her head. Yeah, she didn't want to think about the possibility of all the males being able to get pregnant.
"Yeah, she is. But she's definitely energetic," Adhara replied, chuckling softly and standing straight once again and brushing a piece of Adelle's hair behind her ear. When Adriel nuzzled her forehead, the little girl squealed happily, stretching out her hands to end up grabbing onto one of his horns, not letting him stand straight again lest he risk her balance. "Aaaaadwiewww~"
Adhara chuckled a bit. "Well, she does like you, that's for sure," she commented. Of course, she seemed to like most people given her combination, but that wasn't really too important for Adriel to know. Well... that, and he could probably figure it out himself. Adhara nodded in understanding at his reply. "Yeah, that makes sense. Guys are supposed to have a higher center of gravity, after all. Is it stressing your hips or anything at all?" she added curiously. After all, that was what feminine curves were for, mostly. Having babies... how absurd.
"As of today? Only about two weeks, actually," she said with a smile, chuckling a bit. Okay, so she'd actually had the little girl for that amount of time plus three months, as the still-there stretch marks indicated. She smiled a bit as her daughter released Adriel's horn and instead grabbed at his longish hair, only able to hit the tips of it and make them swish slightly. Curse such stubby arms!!

Adriel gave a chuckle as the little one moved from clinging to his horn to batting at his hair. He was...very distracted watching her, seeing how she moved and played...it all seemed so...surreal.
"Only two weeks? Jeeze...what is the facility doing? Just pumping them out? She looks wwaaay too young to have left there yet..." He murmured sounding rather alarmed. His own belly moved to remind him that soon he would be having his own child in his arms. He wondered idly if the baby would be as light as Adelle was.
It...felt weird that Adhara seemed to know a bit too much about pregnancy...course she was a girl. Didn all girls know this sorta stuff? He shifted on the spot feeling his feet starting to tire out from standing.
"Yeah... my hips ache all the time.." he responded with a nod of his head. He chewed on his lower lip as if trying to figure something out.

Adelle wiggled in the arms of the man who was secretly her father, face bright as it always was, continuing to bat at his hair softly. It was nice and smooth, moreso than her mother's usually was, though that may have been because Adhara hadn't been straightening her's for a while now, and it had gotten a bit unkempt during the three months where she barely had the energy to brush it each morning. Gently, the little girl flapped her awkward little wings and lifted herself up more, pushing against Adriel's arms with her tentacles, to bat a bit at the little gold hoop in one of his ears, a bright smile on her face as she giggled happily, her left tentacle acting as though it greatly disagreed with the strain of keeping her upright. So melodramatic the appendage was~
Adhara chuckled weakly at the comment, brushing her fingertips across Adelle's cheek and taking a step forward, making sure that the little girl wasn't about to fall or anything of the like. She had balance enough, but she was still as awkward as the gosling that she so well resembled.
"Yeah, she probably is, poor thing," Adhara commented nervously, trying desperately to tiptoe around the topic of Adelle's age and... the circumstance under which she was born. She smiled softly, amber eyes glancing up through curved glasses toward the sky, where the first few stars were beginning to show.
"Sorry that you've been hurting. A-at the very least, if you're stomach is hurting a lot on the surface, vitamin E or a-aloe vera can usually cool it and make it feel a bit better," she said, smiling softly. "It's getting a bit... late, though," she said with a soft chuckle. "You probably need your rest, and it takes an eternity and a half to get Adelle to sleep at night," she said sweetly, outstretching her arms to take her baby girl back.
"Listen... if you ever need any help after the baby is born... or, like, even before then, feel free to call, alright?" she offered with a small smile. Just like when he'd told her to call him if anything went wrong. Mentally, she laughed. It would probably have the same, actionless result, too. Well... it was the thought that counted, wasn't it?

Adriel didn't really noticed how late it had gotten until Adhara had mentioned it, he nodded his head..and a bit reluctantly returned Adelle to her 'sister'. He bent over and offered the little one a kiss on the forehead and patted her hair before moving a bit awkwardly away. Chii and Fuu both rose up to say goodbye to her tentacles before each giving a small stroke acgainst her cheek.
Fuu...the much more....social one of the pair even went as far to stroke Adhara's cheek. Chii resumed the position of acting as a pregnancy belt and Adriel's face blushed. Something...felt...wrong here...well no it felt ...right ...but...wrong...like some sort of nagging sense that wouldn't leave him alone.
"Well that's very nice of you...but I am sure you will have your hands full with your little sister here. But we should arrange a day sometime after my little one is born to have them play together." He said with a smile.

Adelle seemed rather sad when she was handed back to her mother and she whimpered softly, reaching out toward the male sadly. "Adwiew..." she murmured softly. It was obvious that she was tired, but at the same time she was definitely sad for having to leave behind the new, albeit older, friend that she'd made that evening with the big belly and the tentacles that made her normally twitchy and awkward left tentacle all calm and happy.
"Seems like she'll miss you, though," Adhara said sweetly, smiling a bit. "Perhaps you're right and they can see each other when your little one comes," she said, chuckling a bit and giving a smile. She took a step forward as Chii and Fuu were saying their goodbyes to the little girl and gave him a quick, one-armed hug, making sure that Reena and Niita held Adelle up well.
"It was really nice to see you again, Adriel..." she said softly, before pulling back and giving him one last smile, kissing Adelle's forehead as well. "Alright, babygirl, let's head out," she said sweetly and waved toward her friend once she'd gathered her things, comforting the slowly drifting off child with every step of the way.
