5: You reach a willow tree and you can barely see its eyes through the giant slew of willows. It shakes its head furiously, leaves rain down, and refuses you let you go any closer, batting you with its leaves. Ow!
The other tree that REX came across was not as friendly, he kept the smile on his face as he walked up and said hello brightly, the tree had stranger danger and would not approach.
There were other trees to meet in the forest, and continued on his little quest.

Lithe and brown and green of eye and fast footed, KingRex enjoys his proper class attire of mother of peal and accents of Jade. Fluffed and layered chocolate locks does not take away from the wild eyed and manic adventurer.
He was to find his way and to not find his way. Here in the woods was everything and nothing. R0GU3 furrowed his brows together. “Is that so?” he murmured, “What a particular way of describing things.” Though the white rabbit couldn’t help but agree and nod his head with the NPC’s assumptions. As part of a video game, it was the logical thing to begin working toward.
Though the quest caught him off guard for a second. Examine some trees? As R0GU3 turned around to eye the foliage, he had to admit that they were nothing like he was used to. Sometimes, he could see pairs of eyes peeking through the openings and other odd behaviors. He couldn’t figure out what good it would do to examine trees other than to obtain the quest rewards, but that in itself was better than nothing.
The first tree he encountered was sobbing. Perhaps its loud sobs and streaming tears had tugged at his pixelated heart. “What’s wrong?” he murmured in a concerned tone. “Glasses?” Let’s see, glasses…”

There was nothing about this dream that wasn't amazing. Seriously, when was the last time he'd had a dream this good? Never? He barely even slept because good dreams were so rare, the exact opposite often waking him and keeping him awake.
But this. This was worth sleeping for.
Adventuremaster was the name he chose for himself. Caterpillar class...sure why not? Maybe that meant he'd get to smoke while he was here, and if not, well, he got to be a kickass tank and there was nothing wrong with that. Quests, adventure, raiding, leveling up.
He was so ready for this.
Armored, caped and cloaked, adventuremaster couldn't help but admire himself as he made his way towards the woods. It seemed like the obvious first destination, after all, considering, well, the path went that way. Generally that meant it was a good idea to follow, and apparently he was right, because there was a sign! And it was, obviously, there to give him an important message.
He listened with rapt attention. Mission. Gotta do it. Gotta get the experience points. Gotta level up. Gotta go fast. Gonna be the ******** best.
He was so ready.

R0GU3 briefly walked around the circumference of the tree, but failed to find anything resembling glasses. He returned to the front of the tree. “I’m sorry,” he began apologetically, “I couldn’t find it anywhere.” The tree said nothing else, only continuing with its loud cries. Feeling guilty and awkward, he walked away.

If you cater to it then it tells you "I'm hiding something in my mouth!" It sticks out its mouth and lo and behind it is a fragment! +1 Fragment.
If you don't guess the tree looks disappointed. "Oh, okay..." It does not give you a fragment.
Sunshine_Minx stared down at the tiny tree she had stumbled upon now. It was smiling. With nothing but teeth. She was starting to suspect that was a theme here...
"Umm... " Your brain. She didn't think it was wise to say this to a tiny tree with teeth. "A secret?" She tried lamely. It giggled at her.
And informed her whatever it was hiding was in its mouth.
Sunshine_Minx stared at it. "You're kidding, right?" It just smiled back at her, opening its mouth invitingly. "You bite my hand off and I burn you." She informed it, hesitantly sticking her hand in its mouth. her finger curled around something and when she pulled it out, a smile lit up her face. "Sweet! You're not half bad, little tree."

Adventuremaster was quick to dart over to the first tree he laid eye on, one that was stripey and bold. Listening to it's words, he gave it a grin. Shake it? No problem! He reached over and gave it a good shake, amused by the way it's colors began to change.
A fragment fell to his feet. Reward, get!

Trex2000 was looking for another talking tree when he noticed a stump. If the trees were talking things... That must have been the tree equivalent of a dead body. It looked all flat and welcoming, good for sitting on, but just the mental image of sitting on a dead person was too much.
The kid gave the stump a wide berth as he passed.

The next tree was crying. That was weird, but adventuremaster thought that he could help, and in helping, garner himself another prize. When the tree explained what he was looking for, he did not hesitate for a moment. He was going to find those glasses!

The forest seemed to go on and on forever, but there was always something new to see. It seemed no two trees were even alike. It was peculiar, but somehow...made itself seem normal.
Her next find was odd, but nothing at all horrifying--a striped tree. Its bands were thick, as was its trunk. What's more, it was rather polite!
Smiling, Harebrained happily obliged and shook the daylights out of the tree to the best of her ability. She snatched the fragment that fell from its boughs and went to find another tree.

As soon as Riley created her character, the screen changed to a loading screen. She'd decided on the name harlemshake and the class cheshire. Magic user. Could be fun, right? The loading screen changed, and her character popped up.
harlemshake moved forward on the screen. The quest symbol popped up on the sign in front of her. "Fun. Tulgey.. Woods.." She said, as she accepted the quest.

7: You reach a tree stump and it isn't able to talk because it is a tree stump. It makes a great item for sitting though.
KingREX was not sure if stumps of trees counted, but the muffled sounds of the tree made him wonder out loud as he pondered. "Guess if a tree falls, it does make a sound even when no ones around." he chuckled and patted the stump. "See you later stumpy!" he cried out in farewell and continued onto the trail of enlightenment, with a renewed pep in his step, ears swaying with each stride and a bounce in his walk.
This was one strange dream.

The next tree is one with a number of signs on it. His ears perked up with interest before he leaned in closely to garner a better look at the words painted across its wooden surface. R0GU3 scanned the words. “This way to nowhere and everywhere.” It was more informative than the previous trees he’d encountered. But as informative as it was, he was still struggling to grasp the rules and conventions of the world. He walked away.

Trex2000 was getting good at this game! The next time he saw a stripy tree, different colours this time, he gave it a friendly compliment. "You have lovely colours there, but would you like a shake?" He offered helpfully. It gave him the same result, another fragment to safely pocket. He never got along so well with trees in his waking life!
