((I'm going to take my pill and go to bed.))
"It's Grant my boy." Grant said with a wave. "And I'm fine. Sure I got a little drunk and I'm paying for it now." Grant said rubbing his head. "So whats new around the castle?" Grant asked as they road though the gates to the village. He took a right once in the gates and headed up the road to his house.

[This might be my last post for a while, I need to get other things done.] Niro was a little surprise at the first answer. Is he befriending me? He shook the thought from his head. Of course not, this guy might have his moments, but he was not the buddy type. Niro was glad that he didn't have to do much when riding Kotoro. The horse just fallow along side Jenny as Grant lad them to where ever they were going. But that wasn't important right now. Niro let out a sign try to recall all that happen to him. "You might know more then I do. From what I can see, everything is back to normal." That's when Niro remember what he wanted to talk to Grant about. "Cap...I mean, Grant sir. I need to talk to you about something important." He then whisper very low, knowing that Grant had sensitive ears and can easily hear him. "Something we need to talk in private. It's about that glowing light two nights ago. I think I found the entrance."

"Really? Heh, to bad it's none of my concern anymore. Talk to Rick. He should be able to do something now." Jenny road up to Grants house. His mother waiting on the porch. "Mother? You haven't been here all night have you?"
"Well you never came home." She responded.
Grant quickly hopped off his horse and briskly walked over to his mother. "I told you mom some nights i mite not be able to come home. You need your rest." Grant held his mothers hand and helper her up. "Niro. The door please." He said walking towards the front door.
"I know but I'm your mother dear. I worry." Grant's mother said.

"None of your concern?! That's doesn't sound like the Grant I know. With or without your title, your heart lays in protecting the kingdom. It's in your blood." Niro could help feeling this way. The proud captain of the knights, the one who fought in countless battles, the bravest knight in the court, is just giving up after glowing lights? What is he thinking! The royal family needs him now more then ever, and he's having a pity party.
Once at the house, Niro watched as Grant helped the woman up. Mother? That's his ma, she doesn't look a day over 30. "Oh! Right, coming!" Niro leaped off Kotoro and ran over to the door. He step to one side as to not be in the way of Grant and his mother. When they enter house, Niro stayed by the door. Remembering what his mother use to tell him, 'Never enter a home unless give permission.' Ah, ma...I miss you and your special pies.

Grant helped his mother into the house "Go ahead and grab a seat if you want." He said to Niro as he brought his mother into her room and helped her into bed. Coming back out he washed his hands in the sink. "Ya I can't fight the castle. Sure protecting the castle is in my veins but so is loyalty to the crow and or the court. If they order me away then away I must go. Besides the time has made me realize that now is the perfect time to live my dreams." Grant walked over to the cubboard and opened it up. "Can you put the kettle on the stove?" He asked "O and would you like some food? I'm famished."

Niro nodded as he entered the little house. It was a beautiful home that look like it housed several generations. He chuckled at the though of little Grant run round the house. The sound of Grant's foot steps down the stairs jerked him back to reality. He gaze fallowed him to the sink, "But that doesn't mean you shouldn't do anything about it. Investigate, ask around, dig a tunnel for goodness sake! Pardon my forcefulness, but your much to young to just retire. And I know your too stubbern to just roll over and take it. And farther more, what's this about a dream, I thought captain of the knights was your dream." Niro's rant got interrupted by Grant's favor. "Oh. Yes, of course." Went over to the counter where the Kettle sat. He filled it with some water and placed it on the stove. "Now that you mention it I am a bit hungry....Wait! Don't change the subject!" Niro let out a deep sigh. "Grant, I can't do this alone. And don't say the other knight can help. You know darn well that without you around, they are nothing but lazy bums. I need your help. The council can't be trusted, the king is dying, and poor Ric has nobody to turn too."

Jewlet stopped as a man spoke to her. "Ms. Jewlet. This needs to be delivered soon." The man said handing her a letter.Jewlet nodded her head and took the letter. "I will do so right now." She said before heading to the castle exit. She went the quickest route to leave the castle. Finally she looked at the letter to see whom it would be going to. She blinked as she stopped at the gate. She smiled lightly and exited the castle. As she walked down the path to the city she read the letter. She shook her head lightly and pushed all emotion away. She quickened her pace once she reached the city. 'Now where is this?' She thought looking around not remembering where to go.

"What can't you do alone?" Grant said walking over to the stove. He threw a piece of salted pork onto a iron pan before adding some rice and water to the mix. "O, there's some bread in that basket over there." Grant said motioning to the corner basket with his chin. "Your making it sound serious but I highly doubt Ric and the Queen can't handle it." Grant turned to look a Niro a leaned against a wall.

Niro open his mouth to say something, but reframe from saying. Darn, what do a say about that....what can I say. He looked over to where Grant pointed. Letting out a deep sigh, he knows that it's fruitless to just bicker with him. He had to tell him. After grab a loaf of bread and bringing it to the table, Niro sat down in a chair with his arm crossed. His features were different some how. Before it was plan to see that he was a happy go-lucky, goofy guy. But now, he had a composer of a serious nobleman. He looked up at Grant from where he sat. "That's because it is serious. There is something bigger happening then you realize. If nothing is done about it, the kingdom is doom. The queen has done everything in her power, and Ric can't undertake all this alone. They need more then me, and I need allies." He got up from his spot and walked a little closer to him. "But if this is how you want it, then fine. But tell me everything you know. Every little detail counts."

Before Dainne could give any answer to the questions being asked of him, a knock resounded from the entrance of the work station. Before anyone could move to open it, a guard burst in, panting heavily. It was apparent that the man had been running hard for quite some time, and Dainne looked at the main with a mixture of amusement and curiosity. The guard doubled over, trying hard to catch his breath.
Leon walked toward the man and as he reached him, bent over, apparently to console him. Instead with a quick movement he grabbed the man by his armor and pulled him up straight. "You!" he roared in apparent recognition. "You're the sorry excuse of a guard from yesterday! I demand an apology for His Majesty immediately. How dare you make him wait this long, counsel be damned!"
The guard could do nothing but stutter and gasp for air, the hold Leon had on him was slowly cutting of his air supply. Trying hard not to burst out laughing, Dainne put a hand on Leon's shoulder, letting him know to calm down. As Leon dropped the guard, allowing him to collapse to the floor where he could cough in peace, Dainne extended a hand in offer. "My apologies good sir, as you can very well tell my guards are very protective of every aspect of my life. Now you seem to be in a hurry to say something. Please, let us delay you no longer."
Having finally managed to gain somewhat control over his breathing, the guard took Dainne's hand gratefully and stood up. He saluted the Prince before handing over a small letter. "S-sir. I-I was t-told to g-give you th-this by the C-C-Counsel." He took a deep breath, trying to gain control over his fear as he shot a quick glance towards Leon, who was now pacing and muttering to himself as he glared at the guard. Gulping the guard took a step back and quickly took to a knee. "My apologies for delaying you so long! I beg you please don't let that man near me again!
Unable to suppress a chuckle, Dainne looked at the guard and then turned towards Leon. "Leon. Sit down. Leave the man be. Without saying a word, Leon sat on the floor where he stood and folded his arms. One finger kept tapping the hilt of the short-sword he kept strapped to his side. Sighing Dainne turned again to the guard and nodded. "You may stand and go if that's your desire. Your job's complete now.
The guard quickly stood and turned away trying to act dignified. Leon let out a small grunt which made the guard jump. Quivering he looked over his shoulder at Leon before running as fast as he could back to his post. Chuckling, Dainne looked at the letter before opening it. He quickly scanned the note and then handed it to Leon. "Well now, it would seem that we have official permission to come and go through the Castle as we please due to Lady Henna, but if we wish to speak with Prince Ric, we'll have to find him ourselves. How nice of the Counsel. If anything strange were to happen, they could take no blame for it. Cowardice knows know bounds with them it would seem."
Sighing he turned back to his hosts and bowed. Lady Henna, Sir Alexander, it was a pleasure meeting you, but I'm afraid I need to find your Prince. Since I don't know the ways of this castle I fear it will take me quite a time to do so, and I would like to get started as quickly as I could. He tapped a finger to his chin in thought before looking to Alexander. "To expedite the process, would it be possible that Sir Alexander would be so kind as to guide us through the castle during our search? Of course, we would pay you generously for your services if you chose to lend them." Aiden made a slight gesture and pointed at Dainne's trousers. "Ah yes I almost forgot. Lady Henna, what may I ask, is the price of your work? I don't believe I ever payed you the night before for these pants. ((Sorry for the long post, but things have been really busy lately since I'm moving my furniture out of my apartment into a house now. I think I've covered everything I've missed lately...))

"I would be glad to help you through the castle for free, but I myself only know of places downstairs; Lady Henna would be more experienced to guide you through the castle."
Alexander really did want to meet Prince Ric just to ask him a few things; he could maybe reveal what secrets were in the castle instead of Alexander having to read that boring black book, but Alexander only knew the way around the ground floor of the castle. Henna probably knew the second floor of the castle since she lived here, but the third floor Alexander knew a little about since he snuck up there once. Alexander was dissapointed, but reframed from showing the expression of dissapointment in fear it would make him seem weak to Dainne.

"Bigger than i realize? What else is new?" The kettle started whistling before Grant pulled it off the stove and poured two cups and flipping the pork. He tool a sip of tea before speaking again. "Well in order to fill you in I need to know what you know first." Grant put his cup down and brought Niro a cup. Walking back over to the stove Grant finished preparing a nice little meal of pork and rice. He made up two plates wile listening to what Niro had to say and then put the plates down in front on Niro and his chair before sitting down to ear.

Henna nodded and stepped up to stand beside the prince. She was still fixing her hair, and looked up at him with a pleasant content expression. "I don't have much to do today, if you don't object I could escort you in finding His highness." She dropped her hands once her long dark wispy hair was managed into one long strand at the base of her neck, held together by a small leather thong.
"Alex, Thank you for your work last night, I really appreciated it." She patted the small man's shoulder softly and fixed his hair before straightening up and looking to both of the prince's guards. She grinned and tilted her head slightly. “Gentlemen? It has just come to my attention that you slept on the floor last night…” She wore a sweet face, but her voice held a little bit of venom. The young woman held out a hand and slipped it into the closet guards squeezing softly. “I am very disappointed.” She pointed out and chuckled
