The trees were much harder to hit than she thought actual bats would be. Such tiny little trunks! If only she could take off her skull pin and just bite them... sigh.
At least she managed to send two little trees down to the ground. The other trees cheered, briefly.

YES. SCIENCE very much wanted to use this syringe gatling gun. Yes, yes she would put bats to sleep with it. She would do whatever this batty Hatter wanted her to do with it, as long as it required her to use it. She wanted to use it. It looked so, so SCIENTIFIC.

The gun was getting lighter! Maybe that meant she'd be done soon? The thought made her a little more enthusiastic about the shooting part.

Why couldn't the tree-bats stay on the fountain, anyway? She saw no problem with their presence. What would they do with the bats afterwards? Eat them? Burn them? Whittle them into toothpicks?
She missed entirely and growled.

She scooped up a handful of syringes, missing a few from the group, and excitedly loaded the syringe gun with the first two.
And then... it was time to use it. Taking eager aim at the bats, SCIENCE fired away... and hit two of them! She was ecstatic, but knew that she had pretty good odds of hitting them, considering how many there were.

Another tree came up beside her, and she jumped. "You're not a bat, are you?" she asked, suspiciously, as she fired off another dart.

SCIENCE quickly got the next two syringes inserted into the gun, and aimed for her next two victims.
