Actually, the only time I actually get stared at for going into a video game is store is Toys R Us. Which is odd because every other videogame store I walk in, no cares if I'm a girl or not.
But in Toys R Us, being a girl in a videogame section seems to bring attention to oneself. No fun stories though.

I didn't really have any annoying video game store stories. They have stores everywhere. I usually go to the Gamestop and EB Games at the Sarasota Square Mall. The funny thing is when I walk in, I take a big whiff of the air and I say, 'I'm home again!'

The game store I go to actually has a female clerk. There was a game store in the mall that went out of business, (I liked it becuase it had a lot of old games,) and there was a clerk there who was a girl and we would sometimes talk about games.
The only bad experience I've had was when I got Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana, and the clerk was like, "Are you sure you want this?" But I think it might also be becuase I was young at the time, and I guess kids that the age I was at the time should have been playing Mario or Pokemon. (I do love Mario and Pokemon though. Especially Pokemon...) I got the same thing when I got Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. The clerk said it might be a little hard, but my Dad told him that I was really smart for my age, and that I like a good challenge.

Jessica Malatori DaStarBillie I avoid my video game store as much as possible. Guys hang out in there all day. The one time I went in there they all stared at me the whole time I was in there, like I was an alien. I buy all my games online now. Haha. I love that look. It makes me feel special. Though I mean, it is creepy when they just gawk at you. I am the rare "hardcore gamer girl" that the boys hardly ever see. I think they are afraid of girls that can really pwn at video games. They probably think they loose their masculinity when they die and then corpse humped after by girls... haha blaugh . XD

During this previous summer I talked to a gamestop clerk for about ten minutes about various games and stuff. All of a sudden he stopped and handed me a job application sheet. I told him I was too young to work there by about 6 months and he shrugegd and went 'Just fill it out and turn it in early' 3nodding

Wow, that's way different than my EB Games. Well, mostly because I used to go in there all the time, and I know a lot of people who work there. And they're all like "Hey, what's up?" It's so funny when new people work there. Before they enforced the M-game 17+ rule a new guy asked me out. And the other guy working laughed with me. And I was like "Dude. I'm like. WAY too young for you." (I was 15 at the time.) I felt awful. He was so embarrassed.

It might also have something to do with the fact that I am obvously 17 or older, and me just going insane. But I highly doubt that to be the case because I only recently turned so. You work at a game store? what one?
