Character:Sailor Bacchus Location: Q5 HP: 47 Target: HC9 Action: Tackling a construct Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: 6 Enemy HP: 0 (Rolling for damage to construct)
So maybe Bacchus couldn't actually knock the thing to the ground. Maybe it was too large for him. Maybe the side of his face had connected to the hard crystal of the thing's chest. Hopefully it felt it at least a little.
OK he probably felt it more than the construct did when its systems failed and took him to the floor with it. Teamwork, right?
Character:Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon Location: N9 > Q6 HP: 100 [-10, +12] Target:R4 (Bee Construct 5) Action: Healed by Ephesus, Using a Forgotten Spell to attack Damage Done: 10 + 1 = 11 Enemy HP: 6-11=0
Amarynthos saw the blood before he felt the pain. His body reacted before his mind did. The blow had knocked him slightly off balance and he had to do some careful footwork to keep from stumbling. He didn’t quite crash into Ephesus, but his path veered until they bumped shoulders.
“I’m okay,” he said, first to reassure Ephesus that he wasn’t dead. But then, it hurt. He almost vomited from the sudden surge of pain that flared up his arm.
Ephesus was already healing him. The smell of honey filled the air, much better than the acrid smell of blood. His sleeve was wet, drenched in red.
It was hard to hold still but he gripped his weapon firmly in his hand, watching over Ephesus’ shoulder to make sure nothing attacked them from behind. The group that ran ahead wouldn’t let anything get past them so he knew they were safe in their temporary reprieve.
He didn’t repeat that he was okay, even though he knew he was. Not because he was strong enough to just take hit after hit, because he was only human, but because he had Ephesus to stitch him back up between blows. He couldn’t see his arm, couldn’t watch it healing. The fabric of his sleeve stuck to him, concealing the damage. The hurt lessened quickly though, in a way he knew wasn’t just Ephesus’ magic granting him relief.
While he stood still, he flexed his fingers a few time, testing their mobility.
They were fine–really fine. It felt like a sunburn on the back of his arm.
“That’s good–that’s helping,” he said to Ephesus. If he hadn’t promised to be still then he would have raised his hand to stroke his cheek but it seemed unwise to drop his weapon just for a bit of comfort. Instead, he tapped Ephesus’ ankle with one of his own as he leaned close.
“Effie, we have to keep moving. My arm is okay, I promise. You did a good job.”
His arm was still wet and he held it away from Ephesus so it didn’t brush on his uniform, too. The dark red was in stark contrast to the rest of his uniform and he didn’t think the water in his staff could mist it all away.
Amarynthos had too much adrenaline going for him to slow down and he didn’t want to risk crashing mid-battle. He moved only when he was actually sure he was okay. He shifted his weapon into his injured–once-injured?–arm so his good arm was free, and wrapped his arm around Ephesus to keep guiding him.
“You can look at it again when we get rid of the rest of these, okay? I’m doing good, I promise. Let’s make sure no one else gets hurt.”
He wanted to tell Ephesus that he was so brave, that he was doing so well, that he was amazing, but mid battle wasn’t the best time to lavish affection on his boyfriend. Later.
Amarynthos placed one kiss on his cheek and made sure Ephesus could see the broad grin on his face before gently, but firmly, guiding him to keep heading towards the ramp.
There were still obstacles–and they had friends, and family, in the area. He didn’t want them to get hurt, too.
Quote:
Forgotten Spell - When Amarynthos swings his weapon, baseball sized orbs of sparkling water hurtle towards opponents at high speed. The water has an incredibly thin layer of ice that shatters on impact, and the chilly stings upon contact. As the water splashes onto the target, it explodes in a burst of moonlit water. Impact can create a brief flash of light but does no extra damage; players can choose to be cut by the small shards of the ice shell or just deal with a high impact ball of water. He can create three orbs and can only throw them twenty feet; beyond that, the ice will melt and the water will fall to the ground.
Character Name:Eternal Sailor Alastor, Senshi of Despair Location: N9 > Q6 HP: 100 Target:R5 (Humanoid Construct 8 ) Action: Using emotionally/physically draining magic to attack Damage Done: 10 + 9 = 19 Enemy HP: 36-19= 17
Again, this senshi, launching himself at enemies. Alastor didn’t judge him, but he couldn’t help but wonder how much damage he was sporting under his uniform if he just launched himself at them like that.
Good for him, though; Alastor was briefly tempted to wrestle with one himself. Instead, he just wrestled the thought.
He had magic, and until it stopped working on the constructs, he’d drain himself dry if it meant doing the same to them.
Quote:
Alastor speaks the name of his attack and every enemy nearby will feel a sudden loss of hope, replaced instead with a strong sensation of despair. The area feels thick with gloom and misery and targets may feel as if there is suddenly an unbeatable obstacle they have no chance to overcome. Targets may feel absolute hopelessness and they may become acutely aware of the hardships and loss in their life. The magic does not cause physical damage but can be disorienting and emotionally draining. The magic lasts for thirty seconds and has three uses. It affects all enemies within a ten foot radius of Alastor and the magic will follow him if he moves, but the effects end if the character moves out of radius.

Character Name:Dering, Knight of Lysithea Location: I9 HP: 100 Target: N/A (Reims) Action: Shielding Reims with magic Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: Fully Shielded for this round
Dering’s eyes briefly darted from the constructs to Reims; he nodded back. His face was expressionless but not absent. Emotions had simply slipped from outward to inward, reflected only in his eyes. There was something calculating about it, a little frantic, but only in the way that he was taking it all in at once–and taking it all in very seriously. A little jumpy, very alert. Overcautious, maybe, but better that than hurt. Or dead.
His fingers twitched on the strings of his lute. He faltered once, twice, but as soon as he sensed danger he started strumming again. The unicorns flickered occasionally, not because he struggled with his magic, but because he was trying to time it to coincide with the most efficiency.
He wasn’t quite sure what the swearing senshi was doing, or what she had unleashed. It looked bad. Lisse and Halle had moved. He didn’t like that they were far away, that he couldn’t help protect them. Halle had a shield, though. Lisse would be safe. They looked confident. He released a breath he didn’t remember holding.
Dering begins to pluck at the strings of his lute and a cool mist begins to spread in a fifteen foot radius around him. Hazy shapes begin to manifest in the mist and quickly takes the form of several ethereal unicorns that begin to trot in a circle near the outskirts of the mist. It can be difficult to make out their forms, but the mist swirls around them and the faster Dering plays, the quicker they move. The unicorns do not attack or stray from their path; they protectively encircle Dering and any allies within his radius. These unicorns can block physical attacks his level or lower by taking the blow instead, but higher level attacks will turn the unicorn into mist. Magical attacks will pass through them, but the mist makes it almost impossible to pinpoint where anyone is inside. Anyone Dering trusts can pass through the circle of unicorns, but everyone else will be blocked by the rushing unicorns. Any contact with them will push someone back unless otherwise plotted; players can choose to take blunt force damage if they like. His magic will move with him, and he can channel his magic for up to 60 seconds.

Character Name:Sailor Vilenius, DSS of Melancholy Location: K12 HP: 50 Target: N/A Action: Arriving with Kemi and moving from the bridge to K12 Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: N/A
Wow, it was so busy here. Everyone was running around and doing things. Good for them.
Vilenius had taken his time to move into the room. He’d picked at his nails some. Dragged his feet. Thought about trying to run to the city. Wondered if he could get away with ignoring the senshi that had spoken to him.
Why should he fight by her side? He didn’t know her. She knew his name, which made him mad. She said she could keep him safe–or try to. Why should he trust her? Why should he try to protect her?
But, she didn’t leave. She looked like she was waiting.
What a waste. He wasn’t going to get answers by standing around outside though, so finally he muttered, “Fine,” and stomped inside.
There was already quite a commotion. He didn’t really even know where to start. He didn’t much want to get involved. Was this chaos? What was this, robots?
Kemi was next to him and he squinted at her. “Do you fight? What do I call you?”
He could feel his magic working, could see the way the construct’s steps faltered, the way the glass panels creaked. For a moment, Oberon thought it might buckle completely.
Instead, it turned its club on him.
The strike came faster than he’d expected from something already half-stalled, and he barely managed to twist out of its full swing. Even so, the edge of the blow clipped his side, a jarring crack of pain that stole the air from his lungs.
He staggered back, teeth clenched against the sting. Not the worst he’d taken, not by a long shot. Anyway, pain kept him on his toes, just as it always had.
“Cute,” he muttered under his breath, forcing himself upright again. He glanced to catch Oort lunging toward one of the bee-things. There was a flicker of concern in his eyes, but he pushed it aside with the trust he had in his friend. Oort had always been quick on his feet, better at adapting in the heat of the moment than most he knew. He’d manage.
Oberon instead dragged his attention back to the construct in front of him, and he strode forward again with an almost grim determination. His fingers flexed, balling them into a fist, grateful for the gloves when fighting against something with glass.
“You’ll need more than that to put me down,” he hissed, lunging forward with a punch of his own, hoping to damage the already weakened parts.

Character:Eternal Sailor Athene Location: P7 > M6 HP: 100/100 Target: L6 humanoid construct and core Action: Trying to trap the humanoid construct and the core at L6 with his magic Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: N/A Enemy HP: N/A
For his part Athene found himself watching with growing unease as the broken core went sailing through, green-flecked grey eyes watching the trail of chaotic kaleidescope of fractured colours as the thing spun through the air–
And he was no engineer - was far from one - but he really didn't like the way how that thing was sparking.
Athene's eyes narrowed slightly as he tried to track the core's tumbling trajectory by using the fractured colours as a guide, even as a part of him dimly noticed as other the constructs in his line of sight also seemed to be following after the thing–
Or if not following then they seemed to be coincidentally moving in the same-ish direction.
Athene followed too, an idea sparking in his mind, and whilst he haď no idea if it would actually work he still had to try.
He called on his super magic with a quiet but sharp cry, “Blue Beads of Nazar - intensated!” before directing the ethereal-looking ball of beads towards both the construct and the sparking core–
And whilst Athene had never tried to use his magic in this way before, maybe, hopefully it would work and be enough to trap construct and core both.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Blue Beads of Nazar – intensated
Drawing on some of his energy, Athene’s magic takes the form of a more complex-looking glowing ball of ethereal, intangible-looking evil eye protector beads that Athene can then direct towards a target within reasonable throwing distance in his line of sight.
If the magic connects and the target has malevolent intentions towards either Athene or one of his allies, then the ball will separate into several spiritual evil eye protector beads that surround the target, trapping them within a stronger barrier of beads with a 1 metre radius.
A trapped target is not actually immobilised - they can still jump, block, or strike with their weapon - but they cannot leave the ring of beads while the magic is active and a corrupted being with the ability to teleport will no longer be able to teleport out of the ring of beads. The beads can be smashed from the outside however and smashing half the beads (about 24 to 30 beads) will break the barrier.
After 35 seconds the beads will glow briefly, before they shatter and disappear. The shattering beads may distract the target briefly [player’s choice], but will not cause any actual damage to the target.
Character Name: Sailor Kemi, DSS of Deception HP: 75 Target: N/A Action: Arriving with Vilenius and moving from the bridge to K12 Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: N/A
“I am Kemi. Senshi of Deception. I can fight. I will fight.” It wasn’t a lie. She had fought before…sure that normally it was people who had feelings she could toy with rather than…things like she had been watching here. “I have strong magic. Against people. Living things. I’m not sure how it would translate to…these…things but. I am no stranger to physical fighting if it comes to it.”
She followed Vilenius and peered around. “Can you fight?” They were moving towards the apparent danger, and not just staying behind, so she hoped that he could do something.
Honestly Kemi would protect him if it came to that, but…it would be good to know that he would have her back to some extent, just to be safe rather than sorry.
“Physically or magically, I mean.”

Character:[x] Niflhel Knight of Saturn Location: H12 -> G10 HP: 97 Target: Construct 1 (F10) Action: Aiming his meteor hammer at Construct 1 Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: Damage Enemy HP: 31
Once the Construct that he yanked the arm from was downed the Knight looked at the arm and for a moment picked it up to look at it before setting it back down and moving on. He glanced back at Grieve who heaved the core towards another construct. "Ah good aim~!" He called out before diverting his attention to the Construct in the rear.
There were already some folks attacking it; such as Oberon. "I hope you don't mind some assistance." The Saturn knight said as he aimed his meteor hammer once again to try and hit the construct, ideally again in the bladed arm to help keep it under control. He also made sure he was aware of where other attacks were going magical or physical so he didn't accidentally hit anyone else with his meteor hammer.
Character:[x] Cardinal, Senshi of the Uktena Location: O9 -> O6 HP: 50 Target: Construct 8 (R5) Action: aiming to blind construct 8 Damage/Healing/Buff/Debuff Done: Debuff (1d6) Enemy HP:36
Cardinal grinned as there were others to help her take down the construct. Well that was good at least, they were making headway it seemed. Monch was very much like a cheerleader it was kind of contagious bouncy cheer too.
She headed for a new construct aiming to hopefully slow it down and disable it in order to get others a chance to blitz it. The senshi used the last of her magic. "Uktena's Shine!"
From here on out she had to use brute force.

Uktena's Shine - Used 3/3
When Cardinal calls this attack an illusion of the Uktena appears behind where Cardinal is standing. The gem on her tiara then gives off a dazzling light that temporarily leaves her opponents seeing spots if they look directly at her.
This attack lasts for 30 seconds and can be used 3 times. This attack effects those opponents that are 10 foot (cone radius) in front of Cardinal. Usually, the spots seen from the light after the attacks ends are also gone, but could last longer and be distracting if a player so wishes.

As Athene’s beads surround the construct it stops in its tracks, though it appears to have no effect on the core which continues to vibrate and emanate its colorful light.
Lisse’s efforts to remove the wings from the bee-like construct prove effective, though not as clean as he might have liked. The machine’s casing splits open in his hands, its core dropping to the ground before it begins to vibrate. Its metallic shell shudders loudly against the white stone. The fractured core pulls itself free from Halle’s grasp, hovering several feet above its fallen counterpart.
Suddenly, the grotto sings with a strange resonance. The kaleidoscopic flashing from within the hovering sphere intensifies as its shell cracks further. Unrecognizable components clatter to the ground beneath it leaving behind only a small, colorful orb which casts a brilliant pulse of rainbow light across the battlefield.
As the light engulfs the remaining constructs they shudder in place, humanoid limbs drooping, bodies bent at the waist, bee-like machines drifting gently toward the ground. With a series of soft, steady fluctuations of light and sound each active automaton seems to reset, straightening damaged bodies and flexing fractured limbs. With their interest in the party apparently vanished, each resumes what appears to be an established routine rooted someplace deep within whatever served as their brain. Two take a position on either side of the magically blocked door while the others make their way back up the ramp as the bees begin the work of repairs on their fallen comrades with a mechanical enthusiasm.
Its power seemingly spent the colorful sphere descends to the ground, rolling slowly toward the bridge.
Tempesti stared awestruck as the automata returned to their roles as though they had not been locked in combat with the intruders mere moments earlier. Flickers of ancient memories passed through her mind.
Hands passing across the parchment of a brilliantly illustrated book, pages upon pages of automata and the pieces that went into them. A rare concession to her curiosity about the early technology of her homeworld. “It’s a homing beacon.” Her voice came out softly, more to herself than anyone else. “I think it was…well since they’re part of the same squad they would share the same orders. I guess it…reset them.”
It’s as much of an explanation as she can manage to piece together between what she sees and the splinters of memory this place brought forth. Looking anxiously back and forth between the newly docile constructs and the ramp before turning toward the party she continues, “Hopefully…hopefully they won’t turn hostile again once we try to get past the next door.”
With another deep breath, she begins the long walk up the ramp.

This marks the end of this ORP, feel free to wrap up/write up to word count as needed. I will post a start for the final ORP in about 24 hours and update this post with a link to the thread.
Character:Chibi Super Sailor Oort Location: E9 HP: 75/75 Target: N/A Action: Having a what just happened moment
Oort had only managed to graze the bee-like construct.
Only.
Barely.
Although it was unsurprising really, considering it hadn’t even been his intended target.
Rather his focus had been on trying to stop the club-wielding construct from using said club on Oberon.
For all the good it had done–
That is that the attempt was one that had ultimately proven fruitless.
His reddish eyes narrowed, although Oort had kept his silence, because he and Oberon had faced far worse than a glass-like construct in the past–
And he doubted that it was anywhere near on par with the world-eating serpent Oberon had mentioned during his 'welcome back' debrief update.
Still, it hadn’t stopped Oort from giving Oberon a quick side glance, even if he would never admit to checking that his friend was okay.
Although given that Oberon had been in the process of lunging at said construct, Oort was assuming that the thing hadn't managed to hit him too hard.
The sudden appearance of a Saturn knight wielding a meteor hammer (Niflhel) had been... unexpected, but the pulse of rainbow light that followed had been even more so–
Especially as the constructs had reacted by simply.. stopping.
Oort blinked, before finally speaking "Is it just me or was that last bit anticlimactic?"
Either way it seemed like this part was well and truly over.

Character: Super Grieve of the Collapse Location: H9 HP: 75
In Grieve's pretty ********' extensive experience, something broken emitting a stark bright light that floods an area is good sign s**t's about to get vaporized. "Well s**t." Dying by tech malfunction, how humiliating.
And then they were not only so much dust swirling down Cosmos' spiritual toilet. Tempesti's explanation made as much sense as any tech bullshit did for Grieve, so she just nodded and then crossed her arms in swaggering triumph.
"Yeah, you ********. Had to reset that s**t."
With a wary eye toward the construct, just in case they suddenly turned red and tried to superkill their asses, Grieve followed Tempesti up.

Character: Halle Knight of Lysithea Location: k8
Halle's heart basically stopped as the now very clearly broken little core lifted up from his palm to join the other. It was only due to exhaustive summoning and resummoning as practice and previous battles that he immediately had his huge shield summoned and front of himself and Lisse before the light spilled out and did...nothing?
No. Something. A very, very good something.
Brain finally catching up, Halle remembered to breathe and took a few calming breaths before turning to make sure his brother was fine. Yes. Lisse was just fine outside of his predilection for pilfering robot parts.
"Well, that could've gone worse," he offered, trying not to lecture but also extremely unwilling to offer much praise. "C'mon, let's see what's up there."
The broken floaty sphere started getting like, really hard to ignore, but you know what else was hard to ignore? The way Mr. Bacchus took down a construct with only his body! Like some kind of professional wrestler! Only way more real!
Turning to her friend, she grabbed Blarney's arm and shook it vigorously, "Did you see that? Maybe he can teach you how to headbutt things into submission? If like, the whole stick thing doesn't work out?" Blarney had a head after all, and it seemed plenty heard enough!
So. Anyway. Kingdom Hearts was made of light!
And they like, won the day! As a team! Or at least a loose set of several teams steadily gaining ground and buying time until a more more magic-efficient solution presented itself. Way cool!
"Everybody was so cool!"
Practically skipping off after Tempesti, Monch found herself humming the Star Wars title theme.
Character:Eternal Sailor Athene Location: M6 HP: 100/100 Target: N/A Action: Relieved he isn't vaporised. Following Tempesti.
Whilst the beads had managed to succesfully halt the stained glass-like construct, they hadn’t done much to stop the core that was still vibrating in a way that Athene didn't much like, whilst emitting brilliant sparks of colourful light.
Athene instintively try to edge backwards and away, keenly aware that he was in relatively close proximity to said violently pulsing core.
Well at least he made an attempt to–
Although even as he'd been retreating backwards, a part of his mind had been unsure of whether his efforts were going to amount to much good.
They hadn’t as the core sent out a pulse of rainbow light that somehow managed to avoid vapourising the lot of them–
And somehow stopped the constructs.
All of them.
Tempesti was saying something, but Athene barely registered it, still reeling somewhat from the fact that he was still breathing somehow - but it finally sunk in that this particular part seemed to at least be over–
