Eternal Sailor KerberosLocation: Reception The young Page in pastels (Rose) got a reassuring smile back from Kerberos. She seemed to be looking after her friend, and that was good to see. At least he wasn't alone.
Watching the barriers flicker and ripple as magic was applied to them, Kerberos considered if his own might help--but then, his was more of a blunt instrument, not something more careful and precise, and it seemed as if the effects were rebounding somewhat. Sending razor petals flying at everyone seemed a poor way to continue helpfully investigating.
But the doors. And the way the veil seemed to give, somewhat.
Maybe there was an obvious answer. Maybe it just required...well, trying, stupidly.
He looked down, not for the first time, at the floral patterns burned into his arm. A reminder that he was not always the best at taking care in dangerous situations. Then, he looked back at the door, and sighed.
"You should stay here and be careful," he warned Aruna and Murikabushi. "I'm going to try something stupid."
Or perhaps not. It seemed unlikely the Moon wanted to harm them. Its klaxons had only gone off after the barrier was attacked in a violent attempt to breach it.
So Kerberos walked up to one of the doors in the Reception Room, pressing his hand against the barrier that covered it, and reached for the handle.
"Please." he said, softly. "I know you want to help us. Please let us through." He wasn't sure who he was pleading with, exactly. Maybe the magic in general. Maybe the ghost of Queen Serenity. Maybe nothing at all.Amor Remanet as usual, kerberos recommends doing as he says LenaRoze and absolutely NOT as he does

Sailor Troilus, Basic Senshi of EnthusiasmLocation: Reception Oh, well, wasn't that just great news, telling this new version of Sailor Monch that they'd robbed the hell out of her previous life's living planet. Absolutely wonderful. Troilus smiled awkwardly, then turned as if pretending to hear someone calling for him, only to be flabbergasted when Pyrrhus did actually call for him. "Sorry, my cousin needs me, pleased to meet you though!" he rushed out, nodding at Monch, before speed-walking over to Pyrrhus. "Thanks for saving me from an awkward situation, Pyr," he said as he breathed a sigh of relief. "Okay, what are we doing, exactly? Did it like, manifest an arm and punch you like one of those cartoons Kaifeng's had us watch, or is it just magically resisting you without any flair?" He gently probed the barrier, frowning at it. "Not so sure I should try my own magic. I doubt making this thing enthusiastic about keeping us out would be great. If it has emotions like that, anyway." He frowned and stared at the door beyond the barrier they were in front of. Were there any clues to be had on the doors themselves? How were they constructed? Hinges? Slid into the walls? What? He stepped up close to the barrier as he observed all the corners of the door, the sides, and the center, slowly scanning for any symbols that might mean something. Maybe something that had to be pushed in the correct order...?The Space Cauldron +1 from Amor Remanet & Knight Kaifeng~

Super Sailor Solaris in Reception ★
Nothing. She clicked her tongue softly, frowning a bit. It was likely too much to hope for to find such wear and tear patterns around here, but hey, was worth a shot. The... results to people attacking the barrier, though, was--hm. Was it surprising? Her brows furrowed as she thought back to some of the stories about the Moon Kingdom--peace keepers, but with a hell of a power behind them to back it up. That their technology was sturdy enough to survive the centuries in space, and still dish it back at offenders...
No, it wasn't really that surprising. More just a surprise at how much it could still kick back, judging by the way some folks were reacting. She winced in slight sympathy, before wandering off. The entry they wanted in on was still locked up tight, so to speak... she frowned. Was there anything around like... a front desk? A guard shack? A place that might have controls for the front gate, for a lack of better terming. Solaris gave a small snort, smiling to herself--somehow, she doubted she'd find a guard room, or their equivalent, that'd have like... an oh so useful ring of keys or something. Wouldn't that be lovely, though? Skeleton keys to get on through all the barriers. But this wasn't one of those fun adventure movies she enjoyed watching now and then--Earth's entertainment and media was rather enjoyable, to be fair--and doubted anything with the Moon Kingdom would be so straight-forward. She hummed, one of her hands lifting to fiddle with the dark gem on the ring of the other. But what if the Moon Kingdom didn't happen to leave a spare copy of the keys on outside for them to stumble upon now?
Her nose wrinkled. She didn't like the idea of using her magic to blast the barrier, but she'd be willing to deal with the side-effects if there was a chance of weakening it....
---------------------------- Mauvian Realta in the Garden ★
The gentle warmth from the barrier made the Mauvian smile, if only for a moment, before she realized the ramifications of what happened to those who attacked the barrier. She winced, tail lashing. Wouldn't say they deserved that, they needed these barriers down if they expected to find anything of substantial use...
Part of her had genuinely hoped the barrier would respond to her or one of the Moon Knights, or even one of the pleas for help for Earth's sake. But that was naive, wasn't it? She frowned as she trotted off, briefly wondering if perhaps Cosmos would be oh so kind as to appear to them there, and perhaps assist...
One of her ears twitched. Had anyone spoken to Cosmos about all of this? Surely she'd be invested in protecting the planet from a world-devouring storm or serpent, wouldn't she? Realta made a mental note to herself to check up on that later. If anything, they could argue if Cosmos didn't help them, there'd be likely nowhere else she could send starseeds to be reborn after going through the Cauldron... assuming all the starseeds consumed by the serpent even... were able to go the Cauldron after--- her fur bristled as a chill ran through her, and she shook off the thoughts with a small hiss.
No, she refocused on the garden in front of her--namely, if she could locate a space large enough for a Mauvian to slip through. The overgrowth here was... sad to see. She was sure the gardens were once pristine and beautiful beyond compare. Perhaps they might yet return to that state, someday.

Thalassa, DSS of ExhaustionLocation: Reception Area. “Oh! Ohhhhh,” Thalassa said, perking up somewhat at hearing the fluffy, pink senshi’s name. He very much wanted to start taking her for a ride, like he’d done with Tempesti……but Troilus would object and tell him to behave himself. And disappointing Troilus was a lot like kicking a dumb puppy who always believed the best in you, especially when you were doing everything you could think of to make him stop doing that.
Between that and getting caught off-guard by the sudden realization of why the girl felt familiar—not to mention her little pose—Thalassa spoke honestly, telling her, “The heists on your world were always a good time, a thousand years ago. Your people threw a lot of good parties. Made for effective cover. Good environments for causing a distraction with Troilus while Pyrrhus and Tyndareus found whatever we were after that time.”
It would’ve been so nice to carry on like that, reminiscing at this young senshi about things she hadn’t been alive to see.
Which was, of course, why Thalassa didn’t get to do that.
Glancing over at his oldest friend, Thalassa saw Pyrrhus reeling. He didn’t need to be summoned; by the time Pyrrhus called to him, Thalassa was already sprinting over, all thoughts of cupcakes abandoned.
“You ******** idiot,” he bit out about an idea he had thought was brilliant not even five minutes previously. “How many centuries was it, I had to think you were dead, and now that both of us aren’t, you want to make the ******** dead thing happen after all! ******** brilliant!”
It would’ve been fair for outsiders to read negatively into what Thalassa said and the snappish, irritated tone he used. But after so long as friends, Pyrrhus and Troilus would have known that Thalassa was actually saying, How dare one of my best friends end up in mortal danger when that idea should have worked. How dare you get yourself in so much trouble. How dare you make me experience actual genuine emotions, you ******** idiot (affectionate).
“Yeah, you should probably avoid your own magic,” Thalassa told Troilus, vaguely wondering what in the Hell Kaifeng was doing, punching the barrier in that repeated, sharp little way of his but deciding not to ask about it. “My magic, though…… Maybe Pyrrhus’s magic came on too strong. Maybe we could use a softer touch.”
It had been a while since Thalassa had gotten to throw his magic at anything but a youma. Would’ve been nice to throw it at a more human-adjacent Negaverse operative instead, but since there weren’t any of those in the Moon Palace, Thalassa pointed at the barrier. Glaring at it, he summoned up his own magic. Maybe exhausting the magic keeping the barriers in place would help expose the flaws in its armor. The Space Cauldron Thalassa selects one target within a ten-foot radius and points at them, glaring intently. The target is immediately hit with a feeling of mild exhaustion, as if they have spent several hours working hard without a break. Physically, targets feel tired and drained but not completely empty; they may feel slightly dizzy or develop a mild headache. Emotionally, targets may feel any combination of worn down, irritable, detached, or confused. They may experience an increased sense of self-doubt or more difficulty making decisions. While not completely overwhelming, these feelings may make targets struggle to keep fighting. This magic lasts thirty seconds, with any lingering effects at player discretion. Thalassa may use this attack three times per battle.

Dering, Knight of Lysithea
Dering made a face when the Moon Palace shifted, and he placed a hand on the wall only to stabilize himself as vibrations ran through the floor. He’d tried to cover one ear when it made the unpleasant alarm noise but it hadn’t done much.
He didn’t want to be here. Well–no, that wasn’t quite true. He did, he wanted to be with his friends, he wanted to help. This whole place just felt like a weird trap. Which wasn’t fair! It was beautiful, but they were trespassing, weren’t they? This was a palace, of course there would be very safely protected! Knots had formed in the pit of his stomach, partly because he’d gotten all worked up about the loud noise and trembling, and again because what was Yvoire doing with blood magic! He cast a worried look at him–and Reims, naturally, but also because of course he was going to feel anxious about his friend thinking he didn’t have a home.
“Oh, I–I mean I could,” he mumbled when Reims suggested he play his instrument, but there were so many people here, what if he annoyed them? No, he could feel the stage fright creeping quickly. He strummed a few quiet notes but was worried everyone’s ears might be as sensitive after that alarm so tapered off quickly.
He felt in over his head; he could hardly figure out his own Wonder--how was he going to be any help up here on the Moon? And some people had already been here before, and--
He chewed on the inside of his cheek and then quietly asked his friends, "If we can just come and go, um--how do we know that nobody's accidentally taken, or moved, or broken, whatever it is that we might be looking for?"

Selenga, Squire of IdaSelenga rolled his shoulders out and heaved a hefty sigh. Okay. So. Nothing in the reception room, then. Cautiously, he made his way over to the library to begin his hidden switches search anew. Checking the books to see if they wiggled or were secretly a lever of some kind. Perhaps some very specific cracks in the wall panelling...

Arcalís, DSS of AdversityLocation: Library. As much as he wanted to stay right here, in this moment, with Madriu and pretend that nothing else in the universe was going on, Arcalís nodded and disentangled himself from the embrace. He didn’t retract his hand, though, holding on to Madriu’s as they made their way further into the library. The Squires who joined them (Halle and Novella) attracted some passing glances, but ultimately, didn’t get much attention from Arcalís. He lingered a bit more on the chibi senshi (Eupheme), who seemed extremely eager to be here and find a way to help, even if she didn’t entirely know how.
With a soft laugh, he squeezed Madriu’s hand. Leaning in close to him, Arcalís whispered good-naturedly, “Does that little one remind you of anybody?”
Specifically, Arcalís was thinking of himself. The chibi senshi probably couldn’t be much older than ten, he figured. Around the same age, Arcalís had had a similar attitude: insisting on helping, no matter what, even if he hadn’t really known what he was doing. He hadn’t comprehended the full reality of Lex’s horrible situation on Arcalís at the time. He’d just known that he wanted to be the best friend he could possibly be to Lex, and if that meant throwing tantrums on the Senate floor until they caved and let Lex go home to see his grandmother for his birthday, then that was just what he needed to do.
Assuming someone managed to stop whatever was going on with the Herald of the Dark Star, Arcalís hoped that this chibi wouldn’t grow up to see her own world poisoned by Chaos like his had been, whether that meant whichever planet her starseed was tied to or the Earth.
But, they had a task ahead of them. Following Madriu into the stacks, Arcalis looked around for anything that stood out: books that looked out of place, scrolls that didn’t match with the others around them, anything that didn’t seem to fit.

Nectaris, Knight of the Moon"I know," said Nectaris. "We're not, like, from the past in the kind of way where this place would know who we are 'cause of that." Her starseed was, as always, just a little bit less special than the starseeds of everyone else around. She paused to jump to the side as the others who were trying to fight the magic got their weapons absorbed and their magic thrown back at them. Yeah, she wasn't doing that. She was pretty sure that would go against her Moon Oaths, and also hurt. "But there's something here. I could feel it, through the ring. Not quite like an aura, but-" There had been something there for sure in the barrier. "I just wish it was easier to talk to, y'know? I wish I could say we were working hard to help it. I'll try anyway, I guess." She walked away from Amaryanthos to look more around the area in general, ending up walking circles around the wall of the Reception. She pressed her signet ring to anything she could find, even cracks in the walls, because that had seemed to kind of do something before. Also, this was the kind of place where there could totally be secret passages. "Hey," she said. "We're here to like, protect you and stuff. Promise."

Eternal Murikabushi of HungerLocation: Reception Area. “Oh, what in the <******** knuckles,” Murikabushi protested, watching Kerberos sneak away to go do something stupid and crazy without him again. They’d already dealt with this nonsense of his up in the hexagonal prison, when he’d decided to start touching things as though him being a Transcended senshi wouldn’t make him, like, the most delicious snack in the universe for an energy-draining monster who was distinctly not Ida-himesama, Kerberos’s actual partner. “Blossom! For ******** sakes!”
(The tiny child was no longer in the room, so Murikabushi didn’t have to feel guilty about cussing. But he also only looked around for her after saying what he’d said.)
Unfortunately for Kerberos, telling Murikabushi to let one of his friends go do something stupid and crazy alone never went well. Muri only paused briefly to look to Aruna and tell her, “I’m not letting him go into this alone, okay? But whatever you do or don’t want to do, that’s your choice and it’s totally valid.”
With that said, though, Murikabushi stomped over to the door that Kerberos was investigating. Swooping in at his friend’s left-hand side, he snarked, “Blossom, when are you going to learn that telling me not to do something works about as well as telling me to behave myself.” For a moment, Murikabushi considered what to do. “God, the arrogance and the audacity of this dead b***h is astounding. ‘Oh yeah, no worries, we’ll totally rule in perpetuity, even though we’d know how stupid that is as a policy if we paid any attention to Earth.’ It’s not like there wasn’t ample evidence from different human empires a thousand years ago for Miss Queen b***h of the Moon and Universe to see that no empire lasts forever.”
Nor did they deserve to, frankly, but that was neither here nor there.
Kerberos was already reaching for the door itself, so Murikabushi placed his palm on the barrier. He squinted up, doing a cursory check for any weak spots there, but he didn’t expect to find any. There hadn’t been on the other barrier he’d looked at. Instead, he tried to echo Kerberos’s sentiments, but more intensely and with more of Muri’s passionate, argumentative flair: “Hey, Queen Serenity! If any part of you still exists at all, eight. billion. people. are at risk if you don’t let us in! You’ve got alien senshi who need to clear Chaos infections off their home-worlds. You’ve got an entire group of alien refugees who are trying to save their home-world. You have all the innocent people of Earth, a number that includes reincarnated senshi and Knights who also have worlds to save and Wonders to serve! And all of those deaths are going to be partly on your head if you don’t let. us. in!”
Maybe it wasn’t the best tone to take with the ghost of an all-powerful magical queen or whatever she was supposed to be, but like……kinda ******** it, though? Queens didn’t have any more of a right to exist than billionaires did, and Queen Serenity wasn’t entitled to any respect just because she’d been born into a position of power and privilege, then ******** off, and died, and abandoned her inheritors with ******** nothing. The Space Cauldron Muri has +1 from Erytheia

Ekström Knight of Mercury Location: Reception
It wasn’t so much discouraging as it was…not at all surprising that nothing came up on her initial scan. The others nearby seemed to have more luck, though a mix of good and bad, she thought as she watched some suffer blowbacks from the barrier. So clearly using one’s magic was out, nor did the barrier react much to one simply channeling magic when coming into contact with it.
Eyeing the slowly growing mass of people trying to puzzle this out, Ekstrom meandered away to look into what the rest of the space had to offer. She struggled in larger groups at times, felt her nerves grip her at the idea of being particularly useless in a crowd.
She kept an eye out as she moved with care, crouching down and inspecting anything and everything that looked like it might be worth taking a closer look at, or maybe turning over or moving slightly. It was hard given she really didn’t have a clue what she was trying to find, but at this point she was hoping for just about anything that might be some kind of clue as to how they could get past the barrier.

Sailor Aberdonia of PapyrusLocation: The Spire Aberdonia felt the sheer presence in the Spire, a sense that something had been here, and had been removed. Which didn't exactly preclude the idea that something else had been removed. Approaching carefully, he delicately ran his hands over the pedestal, in case there was a hidden mechanism, before moving toward the dark, dark crevice where it seemed likely something had been removed. Kind of like the Sword in the Stone.
Wait. Was this a Sword in the Stone type of thing? Was something like this where the Arthurian legend had come from? It seemed plausible, given what he'd started piecing together about the universe back before most of the world had died off due to various reasons.
Which was a line of questioning to pursue later, and possibly best achieved by digging through the archives on his phone. Or visiting a physical archive, if Order had one of them. The Mauvians probably kept track of it, given what little he'd seen of them so far.
Shaking his head, Aberdonia took a deep breath, and, trying to ignore just how much this felt like the box of pain from the Dune movies, slipped his fingers cautiously into the weird slot in the top of the pedestal, his digits questing for a key or a button or a lever, something that would lift the curtains of light.

Chibi Sailor Aquitania of CourageLocation: The Library Feeling nothing but pure solid light as she followed its edge into the library, Aquitania huffed in annoyance. It felt awfully perfect. Which was probably the point, but it offended her sense of how the story was supposed to go. Which, no, real life wasn't a story, but, by bubblegum, if you got to be a magical person like in the books, you should sometimes get a free pass from reality to let something lucky like that happen.
She sighed as she looked around the library. Full of books, and it looked like there was no librarian in sight. Which...if the Moon didn't have anybody currently living on it 24/7, made an awful lot of sense. But there had to be someplace for someone to keep track of everything that happened in the library, right?
So Aquitania took a deep breath, and started looking for a desk or workstation of some kind, to start looking in all the nooks and crannies, though what she was looking for, what she'd find, she didn't know. A key, a button, a lever, a magical seal, a work log, a journal...really, anything and everything was on the table as for what she could find that would bring down the curtain of moonlight, and, if that failed...they still had access to the Library of the Moon Palace.
The Library of the Moon Palace. It sounded kind of dreamy, really. What kinds of knowledge, history, stories, and lost culture was locked inside this forgotten and abandoned library? And who looked after all the books? Could...could she ask to sometimes come in and dust off the books or something? Or maybe come here once in a while to check on the library, see that it was doing okay?
A series of questions for later, when asking the older, more experienced senshi.

Santa Maria Novella, Squire of Ganymede.Location: Libary, with Halle. "Maybe." He really didn't care much to help out, to offer his ideas to others, if Halle wanted to offer what he said that was fine. Though it seemed that wasn't going to happen either, as things seemed to continue failing and Halle decided they should head off for the library.
"Can we even read the books here?" He questioned the other, assuming it might be as useless, and pointless, asn trying to break the door down. Keeping to the others side, for lack of anything better to do or any real intrest in things, he was surprised by the apparent couple in the library and turned to look elsewhere as quickly as he could. "I doubt there will be anything we can read in this library. The books might be best used to keep warm if it gets cold here." Normally he wouldn't even dare suggest the destruction of books but...what was the point of them?
As he spoke, and tried to ignore the two whom he assumed were a couple that had strayed so they could get some cuddle time in, the squire was headed for tghe rows of books. There would, he was certain, be no use for the tombs to be found here amongst the rows upon rows of books. "I wonder if the barrier can be...sentient?" The words a whisper, which maybe Halle could hear, but they were more to himself than anyone else.

Life just was never going to get less weird, now was it. Turning back to Santa Maria, Halle answered, "But there may be maps or diagrams that don't need us to be able to read them. Let's look around for any section with thin, over-sized books. Or long, rolled up papers." The barrier being sentient had him shrugging, "Well, the Code is a sentient sphere...thing. So maybe!"
