[Super Sailor Fulgurite]He should have known better. Why would he just keep randomly poking at things until he fell? Why had that seemed like a good idea? His mind blanked out as he realized the floor behind him no longer existed, and he glanced down in an almost comical way as he murmured an, "Ah," because of course, this would happen. Fulgurite glanced up as he fell, wondering, at least, what had felled him. Youma children. Of course, there were youma children. Somehow he had never suspected that youma children were a thing that actually existed, but considering there were adults, there wasn't any reason to think there weren't children, though he perhaps found himself mundanely wondering their origins as his life also flashed before his eyes. And then he was out of sight, deep in a hole to something unseen below. And the chameleon children were out of sight too. (Maybe, in the end, Fulgurite would be happy about it. At least he didn't get to see more of the ground start shaking.) Quote: exit to kidnapped thread!

Corrupt CymophaneCymophane didn’t like the idea of dusting the youma, at least so long as none of them were presenting a major problem. (Was the loss of a Super Senshi not a major problem? Eh. There were worse things.) He had every intention of telling Faustite this — genially, because Cymophane was nothing if not perpetually friendly, even when he often thought of knocking Faustite into a lake or a river or the Destiny City reservoir for the nasty little issue that was him slapping Kamacite.
Unfortunately, Cymophane never got the chance.
He opened his mouth, a request right there on the tip of his tongue, “But I think I can—”
Get more out of Sticky, he might have said. Or, Get the rat talking, too.
Cymophane would have liked to do both. He and Taenite already did pretty well with Sticky; they even got a drawing out of him! If he got a chance to talk to the rat…
Alas.
Despite their success, Cymophane never forgot that he was not welcome here. He was, in fact, very aware of it, and had yet to remove his hand from atop the hole in his chest.
He was even more aware of it the moment a starseed was out in the open, on full display, being offered by Rakovanite to the equally not-welcome Senshi beside him.
The cave shook.
Cymophane did not try to wrench himself free when Taenite took his hand and ran, but he did shout over his shoulder.
“DON’T HURT MR. STICK!”

[Corrupt Super Xenia]
Xenia inhaled sharply. She didn't like the turn to hostility, but perhaps that was indeed for the best--eliminate the other interfering youma (as much as she hated that!) and bolt. So she stayed next to Faustite, watching the negotiations go down--up until Rakovanite pulled out a starseed.
Oh. Oh no. She'd read the briefing packets with the eagerness of a nearly-eighteen-year-old who desired nothing more than to please the people around her. She remembered that they were very clear: no starseeds.
She liked starseeds. They gave her a boost better than any energy drink. But she had regretfully dumped her stash and left them behind, because the briefing was very clear!! No! Starseeds!
This was bad.
Her instinct was to reach for her magic, and so she called her attack--"Ask Politely!"
Stupid name, but the shields it popped up--she gestured to Rakovanite and Nembus, to cover as many people as possible, since one bloomed around her as well, and she moved to try and stick with Faustite, Taenite, and Cymophane--were nothing to sneeze at.
"Alright, everyone! If you want to step inside the bubbles, ask nicely and get permission! They'll protect you!"Ask Politely! Sailor Xenia speaks the name of her attack and points at up to two other people within six feet of her, and pale lavender bubbles appears around her and the selected targets. In order to enter the bubbles, touch the people inside, or cast on them, enemies and allies alike must ask politely and be granted permission. Otherwise, the bubbles functions as a shield that deflects physical and magical attacks, and at this stage, attempts to enter the bubbles or attack/cast on anyone inside them without permission will result in an electric shock, which can cause minor burns at player discretion. The bubbles lasts for 35 seconds and have radii of 5 feet. Xenia can use this attack twice per battle. Strickenized proximity to Xe's bubble!

[ Lieutenant Ransomite] It was a good thing he wasn't mid-stride when the ground shook, or else he might have found himself on the ground. But the sudden shaking did make him freeze for a moment, and Ransomite cast a quick look around. He could see that people were running for one of the bubbles of protection, and he looked down at the fur he was holding. ' The fur might have to wait.' Instead, Ransomite turned to see if anyone else was lingering outside of the bubbles, ready to guide people toward one if needed. He did move himself a few steps closer to one of the bubbles, but did not go inside just yet. He didn't want to have to ask permission more than once, should he have to go help anyone. He also gave the general holding the starseed a wide berth. On second thought-- Ransomite stepped closer to the bubble around Nembus. At the same time as he murmured a request for entry, he was looking around for any other senshi that hadn't ducked for safety yet. He was a lieutenant, but protecting the people with vulnerable starseeds was probably a high priority--

General FaustiteSylvite was the first to respond, to whom he nodded. Easier to protect the remainder if the other youma were taken care of, and the rest need only wait while Taenite and Cymophane sort it out with the wooden youma.
Then came Ransomite with a clump of fur, with Prehnite's voice carrying after him. Faustite appraised the offering, picked the chunk up between his nails, looked it over. A clump of brown fur, orange tips. Could've been from their youma. And hadn't that youma the Lieutenant plucked it from been on the ceiling? Faustite's attention tracked up to the hole where it had been the one sore spot among a galaxy of immaculate crystals. Perhaps it was elsewhere earlier.
Between that and the stick youma's confirmations that the youma wasn't presumably in the caves, it sounded like enough to start a conversation with the other teams. He held a hand out, waited for the communication crystal wrenched by will alone from subspace —
And he would've called had Rakovanite not overstepped him. "Been down here two years, General. Who's going to know more about youma? Me or you?" The fire in him churned and burned, heat gouts settling about him.
"Don't ******** care if you think I'm impatient. We have limited agents, unlimited youma. Not risking the few we have on —"
Great. A ******** starseed. The fire in him boiled, ready to go thermonuclear, and he reached for the insolent b*****d that smeared their shared title. "You brought a ******** starseed?" His yearling voice cracked down the middle. "You chide me for being impatient for exterminating a handful of youma, and you bring the ******** Rift down on us?" Before his fire could discharge in Rakovanite's face, Taenite caught his cape and he was sent stumbling in the Fire Senshi's direction with Cymophane.
Xenia sprung into action, sending her shields out, and Faustite was forced to gather his tactics before hell came down. "Everyone, listen to Xenia and get in a bubble! If the magic moves with us, get into the hole or out to the Tracking team — wherever's closer. Don't take chances. Forget the stick and move."

[Super Sailor Nembus]Her eyes widened a bit as she suddenly found that there was a bubble around her. Ah. Listen to Xenia and get into a bubble!Well, it looked like she was already in a bubble, and there was already a blond lieutenant with curly hair heeding Faustite's words. Not really having much in the way of time to think, Nembus said a quiet, "Yeah, go ahead," and let him with her, before turning to Amazonite and gesturing that maybe it was time to just pack this up and go because someone couldn't listen-- She would grant this permission to any others that asked her, so long as they would be able to fit with her, Ransomite, and Amazonite.amasis c'mon in, the five feet of space around nembus is fine!!

[Corrupt Sailor Mirzam]
Mirzam evaluated the situation, and decided very quickly that it was best for her to follow directions. She darted straight for the bubble containing another corrupt Senshi, a General, and a Lieutenant; it would bne a tight fit, but her other option was the equally crowded bubble the little Corrupt had created for herself, or the one with the General holding out a starseed, and Mirzam was not eager to be youma lunch.
She gave a delicate little curtsy, because ther was no need to not be classy, and she didn't know what standard of politeness these bubbles demanded.
"May I come in?" She asked.------- [General Amazonite]
"Come in," Amazonite said, quickly. Her eyes were still on Malone, divided from her by the little lavender bubble, and she found herself quite annoyed that negotiations had broken down so utterly and completely. "My apologies, everyone, it's going to be a bit cold in here."----- [Corrupt Sailor Mirzam]
As soon as the General gave her permission, Mirzam moved into the bubble; it was cramped, and as the General warned, a bit chilly, but at least they were somewhat protected from further youma incursions.

Corrupt ValeriaHP: 50/75So it seemed to dealer and the stick like youma knew something, what they didn't know, and were activly keeping it from them. Or well, at least the dealer was. The stick like youma was ready to talk, though slowly, but he was willing to say some things. More might have been gained from him if not for what happened next.
It was all a bit of a blur to the senshi of brains. From being ordered to dust all but one of the youma, a senshi going missing, to a starseed being pulled out and held out. The shaking of the cave had her nearly tripping but she was making way towards a bubble as ordered to do.
"Why is there a starseed out in the open? That's just going to get us attacked." Speaking as she rushed towards the senshi who had created the bubbles. "I can come in, right?" She hoped there was room for her to squeeze in. Already she was reaching out, towards Xenia.
"What should we do now?"(Throwing something quick together since I'm a bit behind in things.)

Captain PrehniteHP: 75Everything was s**t, all the way down form the top - Prehnite remembered why he’d stopped going on missions so long ago, why he’d avoided it all after he’d become captain. To many cooks spoiled the broth… Left it poisoned and inedible. The whole of this was that, faster than Prehnite could blink; dinner bells that tolled their deaths. The only benefit to having experience now? Was that he no longer froze as he had when he was so much younger. “Ransomite! Please let her in the bubble!” the words shouted in haste, and Prehnite wasn’t sure if the Senshis magic worked that way - third party permission - he could only hope it would allow her passage and save her from the rumbling that shook the cave. Hoped, and prayed there’d be enough room as he shoved the corrupt Senshi Meridiana towards Ransomite’s form; just as the lieutenant disappeared into the protective sphere. Then he turned, mad dash towards the hole in the earth—near enough to feldsparr and sylvite to speak—- “Leave the ropes, get down the hole!” the words gritted as he sidled up to the ledge, and made to take the plunge below. Prehnite knew how they’d made it up the cliffs, and doubted it’d be as easy to get back down. As if their lovely rides had stayed - as if it wouldn’t be a chore to try and command them again. Let the others have the spheres embrace to stave off the onslaught. Hopefully it would keep the enemy off them long enough to give them a chance to call for backup. Hopefully? Enough Senshi could be saved within the spheres to dust whatever came for them - a waste of magic and youma alike, but what other choices were left to them? He wouldn’t take up more of their protection then necessary - and Fulgurite still had to be saved; if he’d survived. If it was more than a few stories deep they’d die, but maybe they’d die anyways? The hole seemed the cleaner, and kinder of the two options. Surely, if sylvite and feldsparr so chose to join him - between himself and the General they could keep Feldsparr safe- and maybe save the other Senshi sucked below. Amasis It's dangerous to go alone - here - please take this senshi Shanyume shoved towards safety bubble, hope it’s ok?

Super Sailor Meridiana HP 50/75 Meridiana seemed surprised by the sudden shove. There was no room for protest and realized that the Captain had pushed her towards one of the shields summoned by another corrupt. "Thank-" She began only to realize once she turned around that Prehnite was not beside her. "Wait I-" A growing lump rose in her throat, cutting off her protest to him leaving and instead had lept down the hole with another agent. Meridiana stood there wide-eyed stunned, like a deer caught in the headlights. Completely useless and unsure of what to do amidst the chaos of their current situation. Even as a Super Senshi she felt both useless and weak; her magic was too situational and it felt like every situation was stacked against her ability to use it successfully. "Now now, look here, it ain't got nothin' to do with you, Pretty, just —" Malone looked left and right, then left again. No way Branches over there was making its way over anytime soon. "Look, we got told not to tell anybody 'bout anything, and it meant business. Not lamp business, but youma dustin' business. An' I ain't blind, I saw the way it trashed that rhino-lookin' thing, dropped it right to the bottom, it did. Now —"
The creature paused. Its eyes glazed over. It stared, unthinking, at the starseed in Rakovanite's hand. "Now gimme that…" It drawled, as it climbed over its mountain of lamps. : 142/150 Quote: Prehnite poked at it with a dagger, missing its eye, but the creature was nonplussed. It returned a sharp pinch, even as Meridiana looked on.
: 100/100 Quote: Whatever thoughts remained in Viridian's head, they each vanished until there was only one thought left: starseed. Where Rakovanite held one out, Viridian reached for it with the ardor it showed for Taenite's starseed. It loosed a low hum as it started for that precious gem.
The cave was an incomprehensible den of youma, and they were all converging on a single point.
They would not obey. They would not relent. They would not leave anyone alive if any stood in their way.All character present take 7 damage unless they are in Xenia's shields. Characters in the shields do not take damage from the onslaught of youma.Journey's End Quote: Things happened and now this cave is too hot to handle! All characters should be exiting either to the Tracking thread here or the Cache thread here. Please find your character someone to forcibly drag them off if they decide to stay and fight the youma. If they try to fight, they will not survive the thread. Not all clues were found, but that's ok! There's still plenty enough information to figure out what and where the youma is! General Sylvite- 93/100hp Sylvite got what she wanted, in a way. She got a lamp. She got a lamp right in the face. Only, the lamp had claws, and it had uncurled into some kind of glowing bug youma with way too many feet, and some of those feet ended up tangled in her hair and digging deep into her scalp before she even had time to summon a knife and stab it through. She looked around, trying to keep track of who was where even as the walls and a decent amount of the furniture exploded into faces and legs and tentacles and weird rocky appendages. "Nope," she said, out loud. She did find Van, several feet away. He was hard to miss, even in all the chaos, with the shiny starseed that he was holding up. "Or we could not have done that," she hissed in his direction. Unless you want to die, the pamphlet had said, and obviously it had been right, and the youma were closing in so fast that she wasn't even gonna be able to do anything to save his dumb butt. She hated this. She hated this so much. Feldspar was the one next to her, and the one that she was directly responsible for, the one that she was dragging out of the rift again no matter what. "Come on," she said, grabbing at his hand and attempting to pull him after her as she jumped down the hole. She didn't even notice that another lamp had uncurled and wrapped its spindly gray arms around her leg while it played with the buttons on her boots. Indigo_Plateau You're gonna make Sylvite cry sad

General Faustite -- 100/100 (thanks Xenia) Faustite needed to kill him. Needed to pickle his starseed so he couldn't sabotage another group ever again. Agni screamed for it, all thermal hate and flashburn.
But Faustite knew Taenite was right to run. As the whole cavern came alive as a construct of youma, Faustite turned from it, and went from being dragged to sprinting ahead. Whatever Rakovanite thought of him, he was a General, he had to think of what came next. When they came up by youma, how high above the latticed paths were they? He didn't recall the distance being frightfully far —
Faustite skidded to a halt just before the drop. Peering over, he saw mostly mists with a sparing tangle of paths rising out of it. The drop was decent, but he'd rather they all suffer their own falls than become youma dinner with Rakovanite.
"Roll your inertia," he hissed to Taenite, Cymophane, and anyone else who followed out the front.
He would wait only long enough that the others imminently surrounding them leapt for the paths before he leapt himself.[ Faustite exit]

Captain PrehniteHP: 63Dmg Tkn: 12-5 Pinch, -7 YoumaWith the forgotten half blinded gem crab clinging to his leg with his sickly yellow pinchers dug in, and the whole of the space they'd inhabited coming alive and screaming behind him. Prehnite was glad for safety of the hole, crab passenger in tow, the general and lieutenant surely not far behind. However rough and bruising it was going down through the all enveloping darkness. It was still a hell of a lot better than staying up there. [Prehnite Exit - Down the Rabbit Hole into the CACHE]

Corrupt Sailor Taenite
HP: 50 (thanks for the protec!) “Pretty please let us in,” Taenite quickly asked the bubble that was already around Faustite, gesturing to Cymophane to do the same. He made sure the other senshi was nice and cozy with Faustite before entering the bubble himself. And that was already risky enough, because he could feel the horde of youma approaching. Hopefully General Starseed was quick and found a way to escape as well.
It would have been convenient to keep those youma they rode up on around, but Taenite figured they would have been all too distracted by the starseed out in the open to be helpful.
“You heard him,” he nodded to Cymophane and made the leap to the paths below. [Taenite Exit to Tracking]
