Polaris Page Starlight - (5)

Starlight was new to this. Really new to this. He’d been completely minding his own business, just trying to get home in time to not cause any issue, when a giant monster stretched into the sky. Like any reasonable, new Page, he was scared of it.

He didn’t even mean to power up, it just seemed instinctive--like, if a monster was going to be firing lasers into the sky, maybe he should try to be as far from vulnerable as possible.

The overwhelming sensation of other energy signatures surrounded him; there were so many that he didn’t recognize, didn’t know.

And, really--he didn’t know anything--or anyone--aside from the other Polaris Knight he’d met when he awakened.

It seemed like other people might have been better equipped to fighting it, but his heartstrings tugged when he saw a cat doing its best to survive.

Starlight didn’t know a thing about Mauvians, but he knew that it was unfair for a poor little creature to be facing off against such a giant thing when it looked like it could have just crushed her with one wrong move. So, he did what any teenager with a bleeding heart would do--he threw a rock to try and distract it, but ran out to grab the cat, heaving her up quickly. “What are you doing?” he said, and seemed to be hurrying away from the best as quickly as possible because he didn’t want to be crushed either.

He didn’t expect an answer--she was just a cat! He just wanted to make sure she was okay--and out of the way from the monster and everyone else’s attacks.

He was just glad he hadn't had to try and tempt her with the Star Charm he'd found earlier; this was so much easier.

Chibi Super Sailor Oort, damage = 4

The response time to the monster was clearly enough to at least distract it. It tore its attention away from the sky and towards the small army attacking it, though it seemed that no weapon, or magic, or projectile had done enough damage to weaken it.

It wasn’t looking at Destiny City right now, so they’d succeeded in stalling it.

Only, now the monster’s full attention was on them, and it had size and power on its side. Numbers could only go so far, and it seemed like this monster didn’t have any intention of slowing down for long. It raised one foot and slammed it down on the earth, sending a shockwave powerful enough to knock down anyone standing too close. Those who weren’t knocked down or off balance still had to deal with the gust of wind that shot through the air and sent leaves and dirt hurtling towards the group. The wind alone was biting and sharp--not enough to cause any real damage, but enough to send a plume of dust up to obscure vision a bit.

Not that it was hard to see the great, glowing beast even through the kicked up dirt, but it was just another nuisance atop a growing list of them.

It didn’t help that it seemed to be bracing itself to fire another concentrated blast of energy--only, this time, at them.

Chibi Super Sailor Ara, Senshi of Illumination - 9 + 9 = 18 Damage

As the monster raised its foot and stomped back down Ara was knocked off her feet by the resulting shockwave. Ara groaned from the impact as she rolled over getting back to her feet. "You ok Charybdis?" She called back looking over her shoulder to make sure the younger girl wasn't seriously hurt or anything.

"This thing is tough, even with everyone here it's like our attacks are just annoying it." She said more than a little frustrated and worried about the lack of impact from so many powerful fighters. "Charybdis stay behind me ok." Not that she could do much to protect them but she hoped the adults fighting it up close could keep its attention off of them as they fought from a distance.

She did the only thing she could do at this point and called on her magic again. "Infinite Light Parade!" She aimed for the monster's eyes. If she could just blind the creature maybe she could provide an opening for the other fighters to take it down.

Lieutenant Lapis Lazuli - 9 + 7 = 16 Damage

Lapis Lazuli had to help even if he wasn't as strong as some of the other people there, he wasn't even close to some of them. Even if his weapon was not very useful he still had to try, he had to help protect the city.

So lapis vented his frustrations against the monster continuing to strike at it hoping that at some point he might make a difference. As the monster raised his foot and slammed it down on the ground Lapis was thrown to the ground from the resulting shockwave as she struggled to get back to his feet to resume fighting.

Lapis wished he was stronger wished he could make more of a difference in this fight but he knew wishing wouldn't suddenly make it so. So he just had to work with what he had, on shaky legs he resumed fighting.

Chibi Sailor Arthuradel, Senshi of Honor - 3 + 6 = 9 Damage

Arthuradel cheered her sister on as she began attacking the huge monster. Unfortunately despite how strong her sister was and how strong all the others attacking the creature were, some of whom felt way stronger than even Morgan. It seemed to be making no difference. Arthuradel was not sure how much help she could really be if these other much stronger senshi and knights, and even officers surprisingly, weren't able to hurt it.

Still she circled around to the front of the creature. If she was going to be any help at all then she needed to attack the creature head on and she had to suppress all of her fears about the thing.

She called out her magic again. As a sword of energy formed in her hand she swung it down towards the monster. Hoping the bast would help with putting the horrible beat down. The Monster stomping its foot sent Arthuradel to ground as she land with an oomph of pain.

Lieutenant Roselite - 7

In response to Bloodstone’s praise, Roselite absolutely did not smile. There wasn't the time for that. A monster-that-wasn’t-a-youma was on its way to attack the city!

Then it stomped its foot against the ground and Roselite was sent flying back, knocking the air from his lungs when he landed. Roselite coughed and wheezed, climbing back onto his feet with wide, terrified eyes. The monster was still visible through the cloud of dirt that now hung in the hair, but Bloodstone was not.

“Captain Bloodstone!” he shouted.

Oh, God, what if he got smushed?!

There were people everywhere, jumping in to attack, or running around looking for a good angle to strike from, so much motion to and fro. Different auras came from everywhere, two of which were particularly strong, almost breathtakingly so. Voices calling out here and there, rising louder to be heard over the ruckus.

It was too much for the senses. Everything was too fast, too loud, and far too dangerous for someone who had no idea what he was doing in a fight against another human, much less a monster that towered above them all.

Desperately, hardly thinking about what he was doing, Roselite found the first object he could wrap his fingers around and threw it, but with the dirt clouding his vision, he couldn’t be sure if it actually hit the monster of if it struck someone else.

Lieutenant Carnallite - 6

Carnallite braced her feet against the ground and rode out the shockwave, cursing under her breath at the resulting gust of air that sent dirt and stray leaves into her face.

The scene around her was utter chaos, and not in the way that offered them any sort of advantage. There was little to no organized strategy, even among her own allies. Granted, it was difficult to plan any sort of coordinated assault against an enemy of this size, especially when it appeared as suddenly as this one hand, but with the way these sorts of things seemed to happen at predictable times, Carnallite didn’t think it was too much to expect the Negaverse to at least mount some sort of pre-practiced response.

Perhaps she would share that opinion with someone who had the authority to see it through, provided she got out of this alive.

For now, Carnallite sought out the strongest auras — not the White Moon Princess (ew), or the Dark Mirror Prince (his aura was not as offensive to the senses, but there was still something not quite right about it). Eyes never leaving the creature, watching its every move, Carnallite circled around and made her way to the nearest General — a young man with curly hair (Jet).

“General,” she greeted him, offering a quick, “Lieutenant Carnallite,” as an introduction before pausing long enough to throw her toy boomerang at the monster. When it performed no better than the first time, she hastened to ask, “I assume there aren’t established procedures for an event like this?”
