Chie approached the Kage's office. She moved with purpose as she walked to the receptionist. "The Lady Uzukage has requested me." She said softly. The operative didn't express why she was to drop everything and arrive, but she did so out of duty to her leader. Chie stood at the desk and noticed the attractive man with the eye match. She didn't want to stare considering that she probably would be called in soon to the kage, but at the same time it was nice to have some eye candy. At the very least, anything was a welcomed distraction from the nightmare of her rogue brother and her now rogue student. The thought immediately soured her attitude, and caused her to look away in despair.
Chie was snapped back into reality when she was allowed into the Kage's office. The girl thanked the receptionist and walked into the room. Then her eyes flared into fury as Kyomei, Sadayo, and some beautiful woman she did not know where in the office. She had no ability to notice the dog as the sight of the ninja who attacked the academy made her cringe. Then again, she was at the Kage's office. Judging by the vortex operatives stationed, it appeared that this was meant to be her disciplinary trial. Chie felt particularly honored that she was invited to such a meeting. It was for that reason that she was able to snap back into reality and bow formally to her leader, San. "Lady Uzukage." She said as she rose and she closed the door behind her. She was ready to observe this.

Sonyo let out a relieved sigh, her body seeming to relax a little as if she had worse interactions with leaders. Her smile became a bit lighter and more sincere, and the woman clasped her hands in front of her. "I appreciate you being so open to this, Sanae-sama. I simply just want to help your people, and all people, in any way I can. What I'm hoping for, Lady Uzukage, is that while I'm in your village I live by your rules and your command in exchange for the ability to learn and train jutsu, seek refuge, stock up, and recover. I am, essentially, a shinobi of Uzushiogakure while here. On missions from your village, I will act the same. But I also seek access to go outside of the village on my own, and on those ground act as a servant for the people. They are, after all, the ones suffering the most." Sonyo shifted nervously, suddenly realizing that she was making demands in front of a very powerful woman.
Sonyo cleared her throat before continuing. "Of course, I know that I'm asking for a lot. I understand if my petition is rejected, and I'll make my way out of the village if so. I know that it is... a very difficult time. But I'm hoping to make an organization that offers healing and support for civilians outside of the protection of villages, people in small towns with no help, abandoned by daiymos. He kept repeating what he was going to say in his head and under his breath over and over on the way there. Just in case. Sure enough, when he finally made it back to the secretary's office, Kaoru was still waiting around, alone save for one man at least. Neat eye patch. Looked a lot like the rando during the Kyuubi Attack. He bent down and borked at her in her native tongue, giving her instructions to head down to the specific ramen shop. She licked his face and left, eager to stretch her legs. Kanzaki left the room too, wandering the halls for a bit, without any intent of anything nefarious at all...
In a puff of smoke a second VORTEX appeared, clearly unrelated to the first incident at the academy and also that fact that Kanzaki was around. Nope nope nope. This one, much like the other VORTEX a few minutes ago, bent down over the Sanae's ears and whispered. "Pardon, Ma'am. A matter in the restaurant district requires your immediate and personal attention. The ramen shop on eighth." Just like that, she stood back straight and vanished in a cloud of smoke.
Kanzaki on the other hand made his way out of the building finally, lighting up a cigarette, standing where he could see Sanae's office window or the front door to intercept her.

Sonyo was certainly well spoken it was something that played to her advantage. Even with it the old San might still have rejected her. However five years brought growth as a person and within her religious world view. "Chase your dreams Sonyo, I ask only that you seek your destiny." However her voice would no doubt signal that there was a but coming. What would come after however might continue to surprise the nervous Sonyo. "However be warned that war is most likely on the horizon. There will be many who need your help." She left her words purposely vague. Company was too mixed to discuss that she was more than likely going to start the war. There was no point in letting the Fire Daimyo build up his forces and launch an invasion of the island.
Soon enough Chie arrived and thus things could continue. San wanted her opinion of the events. However a new V-nin soon arrived and whispered into her ear. However she couldn't quite place the woman's voice. In essence San didn't actually recognize her as a member of the VORTEX. It was possible that she had simply forgotten her voice, but it was also possible that she was a spy. "I'm sorry but if you'll please excuse me an urgent matter needs my attention." With a flash of movement San formed several hand signs before a shadow clone was poofed into existence. She then moved over to the window and left through it. Sonyo stood there in shock for a few moments, just taking in that her demands were accepted. She did it! After all this time wanderering and starving and struggling she did it! Sonyo beamed, probably for the first time in a very long time. Things were looking up! She looked back and gave Sadayo and Kyomei a supportive look, then turned back to Sanae. "Thank you Lady Uzukage, I won't forget your kindness." The young woman bowed, then took her leave, racing out of the office on the winds of optimism. This feeling was something she hadn't felt since suna, and it was almost disorienting. There were many things she had to do in such little time!

Her sights set to follow onto Kyomei's entry, then Chie's arrival, then subtlely along Sonyo's departure, and then firmly on the actual kage's sudden leaving. The room was uncomfortably quiet for the moments following Sonyo's and the true Leader's exit. The quiet lingered and Sadayo found it disappointing, to state the very least, to feel a formal inquiry or address, to the pair of waiting foreigners, from the leader herself was deemed irrelevant. A tad discourteous for Sadayo's taste but she kept her expression void, despite.
"What am I to say?" Sadayo said and shrugged. She didn’t expect to take initiative so quickly but continued otherwise. She spoke slowly, clearly, and the strong desire to be understood. "We are two destitute, grief stricken, refugees that would be without sound thought to even dream disrupting what neither of us have power or will to challenge."
The shakujo was moved. Sadayo traded off the staff from one hand to her other and set it between the two. She resisted the urge to slam its base to the floor to sound a louder abrupt chime from its golden rings. The one and only character witness for both Sadayo and Kyomei, who could have offered something worth while, had left. As anticipated, she was speaking without aid from anyone, who knew them, to paint a trustworthy image worth while. "Kyomei is not a ninja. She, as far as I know, is a devoutee of her religion and fluent in the act of exorcism to banish evil spirits and certainly not the Whirlpool's students and citizens." This was her rehearsed reply. Her dignified rehearsed reply.
Sadayo had to prior dig deep into her memories of Kyomei during the wait and found the more memorable of moments about when she tried to zealously banish evil from a harmless civilian of the Hidden Sand. "Her defiant actions today were not her own. Please consider this, today, Kyomei learned many unjust killings happened five years ago that served her a significant loss from the UHV invasions. To my understanding she was upset, resentful, and was taken advantage in the more untimely of places.” Resentful of what, exactly, is what she would not say. “Her heightened emotions were taken advantage of by the...ermh...”
Sadayo turned her head slightly and allowed her sights to settle toward Kyomei’s direction. She lowered her voice a little, her tone changed from suggesting a dignified statement to that one could use to suggest they're blatantly unsure of something.The Uzukage and Chie would still be able to hear her without any objection. “How do you describe what a spirit is to a exorcist? Like, being betrayed, I guess, by someone you're trying to help?” A pause lingered briefly as she mulled over what it was she just asked and how it began to seem like a pretty pointless question. “Never mind. That overall thought sounded better in my head. Bad question.” Sadayo took her attention away from Kyomei and she instead looked at Chie to ask her a more relevant question. ”Teacher, did you see what I saw? Did you see the man with prayer beads across his chest? If I remember right, he appeared to have things to say to you too.”
It was unnerving how one, possibly very bitter, person stood between Sadayo, Kyomei, and their fate. As the puppeteer posed her question, she temporarily broke her neutral facade with a slight scrunching of her eyebrows. She looked concerned. It was her plea to the only witness who may have been told as much of Kyomei’s troubles as Sadayo had.
Now, the weighty words the operative warned Sadayo with earlier hadn’t left the girl’s thoughts and being reminded of her mistake, now regret, was a noteworthy aspect of the problem that she would be blind to try to ignore. “Now, it is true. Kyomei did not enter the village through conventional means and I had errands to look into on the way to having her processed. That’s why the academy was on our path. I had even responded to the issue. Your...” There was a pause briefly upon search for the most suiting word which had escaped her. Dog. Pup. Welp? What’s the word I need?“...your subordinate could verify that, actually. In my time knowing her, I found it isn't in Kyomei's nature to take the offensive. She seems to prefer the defensive and saving others who need it. Her bark is more fearsome and considerably less alarming than her bite within..." She trailed off and there was another pause as Sadayo revisited the memory of Kyomei's efforts against Shukaku with the immense rings to stifle its power and the ends of a conversation where the passionate Kyomei preached her objection to making use of deceitful demons "When her ordinary behavior is considered. " I'd bet my ponytails, my title, my life.... "I'd bet my livelihood on everything I just said and as someone who has never done a thing to catch your eye in my entire time here, until this meeting, that should mean something.”
Then she recited, loud and clear, the flat-out statement the Uzukage was probably waiting for the entire time. “A rashomon gate will never rise on student or civilian grounds by Kyomei’s hand again unless it is to protect them.”
Sadayo had been gentle with Kyomei’s state but after putting herself forward to the village leader with her widely blank sense of credibility the puppeteer continued to make the strides to be a little assertive as her confidence seemed to flourish, however, in a delicate touch. Her word, overall, felt weightless and meaningless if Kyomei couldn’t convince them or confirm anything in the slightest. With the shakujo between them, Sadayo raised and dropped the staff to land a bit closer to Kyomei and even went as far as to nudge it toward the girl’s shoulder. “It is yours and you should carry it now.”

Kyomei listened to Sadayo intently in silence. As Sadayo stood to defend her in every aspect and send of the word tears began to well quietly in the smol exorcists eyes. She wanted to bawl, but now was not the time for crying, not again. As Sadayo presented Kyomei with her Shakujo as if to give her the inspiration to claim it, the girl wiped away her tears with the sleeves of her long sleeved garment. One word. "No." She delicately with her sleeved arm pushed it into Sadayo's chest where it shook momentarily. "Not yet." The metallic sheen of the Shakujo grew dimmer, as if a light was being sucked out of it. The smol girl then took to center where in Sadayo was standing. It wasn't fair to her that she had to defend her, it wasn't fair to her that she had gotten caught up in this mess, and it wasn't fair to her to try and defend her without knowing the full truth. Taking a deep breath inward whilst sounding dead but determined still to speak she'd begin. First by looking to Sadayo eyes still somewhat puffy.
"You're wrong...partially.." She'd then shift her eyes to the woman at hand, who'd likely was left to judge them the very teacher of the academy of whom she assailed and a clone. Then her head and body stood front facing the intimidating woman before her. "I was upset, I was resentful, but I wasn't taken advantage of. It was my father's hate of shinobi, and my anger that melded into the attack on your academy...and for that I'm sorry...and I'll probably be sorry until the day I die.." Kyomei's eyes then shifted down her fist clenched. Resident no name anbu's hands shuffled but he stayed standing straight. "But I won't take back what I said!" She rose her head in outburst, cheeks flushed with redness. "Your shinobi way of life is awful! BARA BARA! White hair bug sensei said the demons would be used to protect the village! That that was why they were necessary! BARA BARA! BUT WHERE'S THE VILLAGE NOW! WHAT GOOD IS RISKING YOUR CITIZENS LIVES FOR SOMETHING THAT COULDN'T EVEN SAVE IT!" Kyomei looked back down. She was breathing heavily now exhausted, eyes red, waiting for an answer, Kyomei had lost everything, she would not allow Sadayo to crash and burn with her, and honestly she wasn't expecting an answer from Chie or the clone of the Kage either, as it would be difficult if not nigh near impossible to try and provide a satisfactory answer. More so what point was there in arguing with a child whom already agreed to leave if need be. Her fuuin was exemplary, summoning the gates at that time with ease. But that was all. Kyomei's fragile trust in a people that would sacrifice their own by sealing in them a demon under the belief that it was an almighty 'protector' that outweighed the risks had all but fallen apart. The lack of Sunagakure was evidence of this. Two so called 'demons' of mass destruction and the village still fell. Could Chie or the Kage's clone even empathize? The most frustrating thing of all, the one thing that she had found the most irritating since she discovered the date, that after five years, nothing seemed to have changed for the better in the slightest. FOR ANYONE. Shinobi or otherwise.

Chie took a deep breath. A lot was said by Sadayo, and the real Uzukage leaving with only a shadow clone remaining did not seem to make either of these two ninja being interrogated feel better. Sadayo's monologue and Kyomei's emotional outburst both aggravated Chie in differing ways. However, she had to maintain her composure. She was no longer a rash genin who could say what she wanted and allow the consequences to fall wherever they were. She was now a leader at the academy, and the Uzukage personally called her in to help deal with these foreigners. Foreigners....
Chie moved around the room to be adjacent to the Lady Uzukage's desk. This allowed her to be within visual range of Sadayo and Kyomei. She wanted them both to see her before she spoke. When they last saw her, she was either a force of opposition or a temporarily ally. Chie took a deep breath before she began. She couldn't allow her emotions to get the better of her. Not yet....
"First thing's first. I want to call out a lie." Chie said as her eyes darted to make direct contact with Sadayo. "You claim that Kyomei is not a ninja." She said. "However, the last time I checked, the average priest was not summoning the gates of Rashomon willy-nilly. Nor were they firing off dragon shaped jutsu around like they had a Seto Kaiba complex." She said in reference to an old show she used to watch. Her arms were folded as she interrogated further the girl. "So with your lie there, I don't trust your speech. The most logical assumption to be made with her not having a headband is that she is a rogue ninja that you are being soft upon. This would collaborate well with her distinct hatred for the shinobi life." Her icy stare was showed no sign of mercy. "However," she began. "I am not in the position to make that call. I only wanted to provide my feedback so that the Lady Uzukage is not misconstrued by any of your lies." She stated plainly. In addition to targeting Sadayo, Chie had another objective with addressing her first. It would give Kyomei more time to gather herself from her tears. If Chie had more sympathy in her heart than she would have waited until the smol girl completely finished crying. However, she had an academy to return to.
"And as for you, Kyomei." Her stare now turned to the priestess. "Your honesty, no matter how distasteful, is why I believe you." She said sternly. Chie felt almost like she could relate to this girl, as she was also prone to speaking her mind, consequences be damned. It was part of the reason why she was intruding on this conversation, albeit in a way which would hopefully help the Uzukage make the right choice with these ninja. "I have a healthy amount of rage for your actions. Your attacks put in danger academy students with no ability to fight against the impressive ninjutsu prowess a non-ninja like you should not have." Her voice flickered with the words, "non-ninja" to emphasize the belief that the statement was either factually incorrect or some type of half truth. "Furthermore, I have great disdain for how you talk about the way of the shinobi. Your words relate more to treasonous rogues than honorable ninja who provide the ultimate sacrifice so that our way of life can exist." She said harshly. Her hatred for rogues only intensified with each new person she interacted with.
"Finally, I find you flat out wrong above all else." She said sharply. "Your critical nature of the shinobi's way offers no commentary on what to fix. I teach ninja for a career and let me tell you, I could not be less amused by your views of my students. Obsessed with power? Pointless fights? I have never taught anything of the sort. I instruct all of my students to form bonds with each other, so that their strength together can carry the weight of a village. That is what it means to be a village ninja. That is why I know you are wrong at the sheer core of your belief. And that's why I know what must be done with you." Chie turned to the Uzukage.
"My Lady." She said formally. "Allow their punishment for their actions to be to serve the Uzushiogakure academy for a set period of time. Allow them to see this village and its ninja. To see the good that is so dominant here. To see the world that we are trying to build, so that they will want to see it thrive as well." She said with passion. This was her village. Chie was born in Konoha, but she has given everything to see Uzushiogakure thrive. She will not allow these ninja to see themselves as outsiders of this culture. That is why they have such animosity to this in her eyes. This was the best way to truly fix the issue at hand.

San listened to what everyone had to say. At times she looked visibly irritated or frustrated with the answers given. In particular San paid attention to Chie, not because she was a village ninja and the others were not. No it was because she had her eye on the girl for something special. Though brash and perhaps somewhat immature the way she felt about the village spoke to San."I'll leave that time up to you Chie" she finally said. The girl's judgement would stand, San wanted to foster a sense of leadership in Chie. She was going to need it after all. ""

Making his way into the complex, accompanied by the sounds of his wooden sandals clatter upon the stones below him. Hiroshi looked up seeing how many stairs he had to go up just to reach the Uzukage office. Pulling out his gourd of sake and taking a sip from it as he starts his ascend up the many stairs.
Finally making his way up to the final step he pulls out his gourd again this time taking a few sips from it before letting out a heavy sigh and thinking to himself that he made it to the top and that its time to get on with why he came up here in the first place. Moving up to the receptionist's desk gently bowing and saying "Um excuse me..... but I'm here to see Lady Uzukage if she is available?"
Chie was visibly stunned when San agreed with her. She expected the woman to not cave so easily to her idea of making them both serve at the academy. Of course, the young woman quickly coughed and feigned stoicism. "Very well. You both can make your way to the academy. I have a shadow clone of myself there currently, so you can engage with her about who needs to be trained and what fields remain." She said with certainty. She then looked at the vortex operatives in the room. "Would you please guide them to the academy?" She asked politely. The masked leader nodded and moved toward the door. As they exited they say the boy who asked the secretary if the kage was around, and politely explained that the kage still had Chie in the office. However, as Chie remained in the office, she wondered why she had the looming feeling that she was not supposed to go yet.

Saiko sat and waited, watching the various people going in and leaving the Uzukage's office. The man was extremely patient so, he didn't mind the wait really. It was then a girl walked in that drew his eye particularly. Mostly cause he noticed that she was looking at him. Saiko remembered her from various encounters but, had never actually talked to her. Saiko noticed that she was looking perhaps a little too long and was going to say something to her when she suddenly looked away, as if sad. 'Oh did I do something wrong already?' Saiko thought to himself, watching as she was allowed into the Uzukage's office. He would have to find her later it seemed, or talk to her when she left the Uzukage's office.
The wait continued as Saiko slowly rapped his fingers along his thighs. Occasionally he would readjust his katana to make sure he was completely presentable for the Kage. It felt like sometime had passed. Saiko was about to double check with the receptionist when he noticed a Vortex Member speaking to a boy that had arrived. 'Oh. Too busy.' Saiko sighed softly and stood up. It seemed he wouldn't be speaking to the pretty girl with the pink hair or the Uzukage at the moment. Oh well, not much you could do. Saiko turned ninety degrees on his heels and walked out of the office, heading towards the temple. He hadn't visited in a while and felt obligated at this point.
