Acubens had been standing in the back, caught somewhere between the need to fight something literally anything and the small rational voice in her head telling her to be still and watch. People were pulling at Taran, trying to free him and she wasn't certain that he wasn't a threat. She was going to bide her time. Wait it out for once in her life. Think. She was going to take her time and plan. Even thought she wanted... oh god she wanted... to follow Leto into battle. Now was not the time. If they did kill the queen... she might have been the only one who knew how to get home. And what if they needed to retreat? Where did they go? What if they were fighting the wrong person?
Until Kiuchi made an unexpected... bold... incredibly brave move.
It stunned Acubens, if she was being honest. She knew that this last week had forced him to grow into himself in a big way but... standing directly in the line of possible fire. Acubens' nerves flared to life with alarm and pride, electricity galvanizing her limbs to life without the permission of her brain. Her plans to stand back and wait didn't matter anymore. There was no more time to be bought. No more lying in wait. The second Kiuchi stood up and spoke Acubens' fate had been written. She followed in a flash, standing next to Kiuchi with face set in a cold, hard stare. First at the queen, and then at Taran. She said nothing, but then her meaning was abundantly clear. The first one to touch the boy died. No questions asked. No warnings issued.
Closer up the runes looked almost like shards of glass framed in the wall and whilst Sadalsuud couldn't read them the characters reminded her a little of the script in the books that she'd found herself leafing through from time to time during her excursions to the library–
But it was hard to tell whether it was because they really were similar or if her mind was just trying to find similarities.
She started to turn to perhaps see if there was someone she could ask, but instead found herself stumbling back a few steps her green eyes wide as they suddenly flared up almost in counterpoint to the sound of the metallic popping sounds coming from the direction of Taran and the others by him that had been working on his chains.
The sudden bright blue light was brief, but lasted long enough for Sadalsuud to realise that someone else had entered the room with them - Queen Altea.
It was hard to tell how long she had been there, but the look of anger on her face was so at odds with the gentle expression that she had come to associate with her that Sadalsuud found herself taking an involuntary step back.
One of the senshi (Mithra) pretty much accused the Queen of being the one to cause the room in mirrorspace to collapse on them and Sadalsuud glanced back in what she hoped was their direction as she said "We don't know that" and her voice was firm. "And it doesn't make sense - why save us then?"
But whilst she wasn't standing with Taran, she also wasn't following Altea's instruction to leave and go back to her room - because Sadalsuud had already made the decision that she was going to follow Mr Prince's lead in this.
Instead she stayed where she was as she turned back to look at the Queen, her voice turning conflicted as she said "I would like answers too."
Lesath had been quiet. Out of the way. Just watching. The man in chains seemed to know what he was talking about, and if it was the queen who was causing all of this…well. It wasn’t that she couldn’t believe such a thing. Honestly she had figured the woman was bad news from the get go, but hey. That wasn’t something you just out and out said to your host.
Now, however…she was getting tired of being on the sidelines. Being silent. This was stupid. This woman thought she could just turn them all to crystal? No. Absolutely not. She had a daughter back home that she was aching to see. She wanted some damn food more than she could say right now…and she was turning to stone.
Well, Crystal. But. Still. Pretty much the same thing.
It was enough to send anyone to the breaking point, any one of those things were enough to send someone to the breaking point, and it seemed as though Lesath was there.
If getting rid of this ‘Queen’ Would stop whatever curse was on them and stop her from getting to Earth—to Chloe…Fine. So be it.
Honestly she was surprised that she was the one starting this.
“I’m not listening to another word you say, b***h. Moth Swarm.” She knew the attack didn’t do much…but perhaps it would spur others to action…or bother her enough that they could get this Taran guy out of here and get more answers from him.
The Space Cauldron
Using a very, very high pitched frequency, Lesath creates a group of magical moths...a lot of magical moths. (Between 100 and 150, all moths between a half inch to an inch in size) They remain in the area for up to thirty seconds, and they do as much damage as a moth could do. They're itchy, they tickle, they can get in your mouth; (They taste bad, very bad. Not candy bugs at all.) The moths nibble at the clothes of the opponent and just cause as much chaos as they can, serving as a distraction, and maybe even a cause for the opponent to leave--if they have a fear of bugs.

Eternal Sailor Avior
Avior felt his own pride well up in his chest from the fact that Kiuchi came to him and stood tall to speak. And yet Acubens, for whom he still felt such bitter feelings towards after their last encounter together, decided to follow.. The moment that Acubens came into view after Kiuchi so sweetly came to his side, Avior's face fell into a scowl, moreso than he already had directed towards the queen herself. He half expected her to says something else cruel and unneeded towards in a way that was unneed given the high tensions already, and he prayed that she would have atleast some sense not to do so. This was not the time for petty squabbles. He would certainly save that for later, however.
It was too late. The first strike had been made, and Avior did not hesitate with his own. First, his hand bolted out to grab Kiuchi, pulling him to follow away from Taran and from the direct line of fire. Whatever attacks were to be made, he wanted to do his best to be ready as fear for a battle in such a small space started to well in his heart.
Next, his eyes darted to Crocus, and with Kiuchi in tow, he moved towards him too, grabbing his arm and pulling them back behind him. They could fight remotely, right? They didn't need to be so close. They didn't require being right up in whatever fight was to happen. And his walls... Bless his walls, maybe they could protect them and anyone else around them.
"You two, " he started, voice for them to hear and them only. "I beg you... If you fight, stay back and do so from a distance. She's a queen.... She must have some sort of power we do not understand, especially if she's anything like Leto and Remarque."

Now listen here you vapid, redneck b***h, the insult was thrown at her, and it made Leto recoil for a moment. How dare someone speak to her that way. That sort of insubordinance in the Negaverse to the General Sovereigns or to Ares in the Blood Moon Court would never have been tolerated-- but Leto had to quickly remind herself that the Dark Mirror Court was neither of those things, and if she reacted here and now to Diadem in front of everyone the way she would like to react, it would make her look bad... So instead, Leto smiled at the other Senshi and laughed. Because more than anything, she wanted to know what exactly the basic Senshi was planning to demand of her.
"Go on, I'm listening" Leto drawled in her English accent. The redneck comment in particular made her giggle, considering she wasn't even from this country. Now being called a b***h? At least that wasn't off-base. Wildly inappropriate considering Diadem's rank in the Court, but not untrue.
The fact that there were still people that wanted to defend the Queen and her actions made Leto furious, but Avior's agreement that she needed to go made her feel better about her own reaction to the situation. It calmed the fire that burned in the pit of her stomach if for only a moment before Altea entered the dungeon. Leto turned to face her, close to the false Queen as she had remained at the back of the group that was tending to Taran. Red eyes glared intensely as if Leto was trying to set her on fire with her mind.
Out, all of you.
The demand was as clear as the anger on her face, and it made Leto sneer. There was only one Queen that she took orders from, and it sure as s**t wasn't this one. The Senshi of Camouflage was ready to call her attack to her lips through clenched teeth, "I agree with Mithra, you very likely collapsed MirrorSpace in order to look like a Hero when you pulled us in here, got them to trust you, and now you're trying to do what you've done to everyone else you've met- turn us into your slaves. And I'm not about that slave life, b***h."
And when Lesath called her attack first, Leto's heart lept to her throat- both with the anxiousness she often felt before a big fight, and pride that her friend took action. She joined the blonde at her side and as the words "Hidden Ambush" fell from her lips, the ground beneath them all started to rumble. Cracks formed, parts of the dungeon raised and tall grass began to grow to camouflage the entirety of the Court that was within 15ft of her. Those that wanted to fight had her camouflage to their advantage, and those that wanted to flee would be offered that opportunity safely.
Quote:
Hidden Ambush Leto can now summon the ground around her to raise and become covered in tall grasses. This makes her completely camouflaged and allows her to attack her enemies while they are confused and preoccupied with the new setting & shaking ground. She can now camouflage any other members of Chaos within a 15ft radius. The attack lasts 45 seconds and can only be used once per battle.

Logos had stood in the background, quiet, keeping to herself - watching. This person, wrapped in chains and held prisoner by crystal runes, was slowly being freed by some of the other senshi. She watched and waited and listened. Logos hadn’t much previous experience with magical things and knew she would only get in the way of much more experienced senshi. The best way to learn is to observe.
She was content to stay by Lesath’s side and listen as people debated back and forth with whoever this Taran was. The man seemed to know more than any of the rest of them, insisting he was only present in the castle to put a stop to the Queen. While Logos was willing to give Altea the benefit of the doubt, her changing body meant a very rapid deterioration of her opinion of the Queen. The dark-haired senshi could have easily written this transformation off as a fluke of alien foodstuffs on their physiology, but why pull the disappearing act in the meantime?
Things looked grim for the Court.
Altea’s sudden appearance and her brief but heated conversation with Taran painted her in a poor light, and Logos was happy to let them verbally battle in the meantime.
That is, until Altea made demands and Lesath had had enough.
Her mentor and recruiter’s assault on the Queen was more than enough suggestion for Logos, who knew it was her time to do what she thought she did best - follow the leader. She knew based on Lesath’s training that her own magical abilities centered on herself. She had to get close enough to Altea for them to work. Ducking and weaving through the moths, Logos kept one sleeve over her mouth to keep the insects from ducking in, and ignored them as best she could.
The cadet did her best to position herself behind the Queen, and called her attack. “Logos Spinning Helix!” A magical ribbon, which appeared at the cadet’s feet, pulsed and twirled and began its rotation.

Chione
Chione had opened her mouth to reply to Acubens that she was okay. Well, as okay as she could be, when several things happened at once. First, they managed to free the prisoner from his chains, causing runes to glow and…well. Second, Altea appeared looking wild and angry and very upset with them, and the cotton candy haired senshi was trying in vain to sing her praises. And Third. Acubens left her once again, darting out towards Kiuchi.
She understood it, sure. She did. But…at the same time she was kind of glad for the strange grasses that popped up courtesy of Leto. She was brash, but useful…honestly she wished that she had been able to get to know the woman a little better. But. Maybe in the future she would.
Glancing to Elsa, Chione shrugged. “I thought I was okay. But I’m really not sure anymore…I don’t…know if we should stay in here. If you want to fight, fine, but I think I’m…just going to go…I don’t want to get in the middle of this. I don’t know who or what to believe…”
And my girlfriend just abandoned me again. Cool.
“If you want to come with me…we can just…chill back in a room, or something. I don’t know. But…I don’t think it’s the best idea to attack the Queen…I don’t know. I’m just…feeling really awkward about the whole situation I guess.”
Chione’s eyes moved towards where the door was, and she took a step towards it. If Taran was right and destroying the queen was the best way to get out of here and save themselves from being turned into crystal…well, then they could take care of it. On the off chance that perhaps he was the one lying…she really didn’t want to be on the wrong side of it…so perhaps doing nothing was best. For now, at least. Until she knew the whole story.

Lovejoy
She wasn't sure what was going on anymore. All around her, senshi were attacking - chain? There was a prisoner in chains, there was questions of the Queen, although Kibby was as defensive as ever towards the crystal-themed monarch.
There was only one thing that LJ knew and that thing is that she wanted to go the freak home.
"Kibby," One hand fell on her shoulder as she squeezed, watching the chaos unfold. Should they attack as well? Should they defend themselves - find a place to hide?
She wasn't sure of what to do, anymore, now that others had taken a stand (one way or another).
"Kibby...are you okay? Do we need to get you somewhere?"
(Yes, good, subtle way to say help I'm also confused on what to do.)

Eternal Sailor Remarque
Remarque raised his hand to his face, as if he intended to pinch the bridge of his nose following Lesath’s attack. He was obligated to support her, in at least some way; she was his fiancé and she was far from the only fed up, hangry woman around here.
They seemed to share a hive mind in situations like this and the time for words was clearly lost. Magic was going up everywhere and he doubted there was any opportunity to salvage the situation with Altea.
He wasn’t too distraught; he hadn’t ever really warmed up to her, anyway. Not that he was particularly partial to Taran either, but then, he didn’t really care about whatever was going on between them as long as it meant the Court got to go home—and Earth was safe.
He didn’t trust Altea; Remarque didn’t often use his magic, but this was as good of an instance as any. While he was concealed by Leto’s magic, he cast his own: “Captive Audience!”
Remarque’s magic was simple; it wasn’t quite offensive, just meant to keep Altea in place. Strings descended on his target, though he wasn’t positive it would even be enough to capture a Queen.
He stayed close to Lesath, but as close to as many of the Court as he could see. Leto’s magic made it difficult to tell who was where, but he knew where Altea had been, and he knew where Taran had been. He stood somewhat between the two, if only to ensure that should either attempt something he had the best opportunity to stop them before they tried to hurt someone he cared about.
Quote:
Captive Audience In the same way that the first attack consisted of strings fastening on the target, this attack does the same, however lasts for twenty seconds. The radius shrinks in size, preventing the target from moving further than four feet from where they stood when the strings attached. There would be a greater sense of discomfort and the strings would cling tighter, making movements choppier and more difficult for the target to control.

Any opportunity for a calm conversation was lost when Altea was attacked. She screeched when the magic hit and for a second she recoiled, stunned. She swatted at Lesath’s moths as best she could, slapping them away angrily. That alone might not have been enough to incite her, but the sudden barrage of magic against her seemed to drag her into a fit.
Leto’s magic forced Altea to look around, wide eyed and alarmed with the sudden in terrain—and from losing sight of everything she had known. Logos’ vertigo made her stumble on her feet; she was already confused and struggling to process what was going on.
Remarque’s strings kept her upright, but the movement and pressure bit into her skin. Finally, she screamed, and yanked her hands from the strings and stomped her feet, almost like a child. A shockwave seemed to emit from her, and the magic in effect rippled and seemed to weaken.
The strings fell from her and lay limp at her feet. The moths fell, lifeless, to the ground. The area around her lost all traces of Leto's grasses, and she no longer seemed stunned by the vertigo.
A darkness covered her face. She had not had a discernable energy signature before, but now she did. Like a shockwave, pure Chaos leaked from her. The wind whipped around her so ferociously that it seemed to slice the skin of those closest to her.
Her voice was low and menacing: “How dare you.”
Her hands curled by her sides and long, crystal shards began to grow over her fingertips.
“You were my guests. I offered you my home, I took care of you. And you demand—you demand more from me? Access to my private quarters? Perhaps hospitality on Earth warrants you accept strangers into your private chambers, but on here you should be so lucky that I allowed you to stay in my castle.”
She glowered at the group and sneered, “I answered questions, more than I needed to. In every instance you asked, I spoke. The plague that killed my people sapped the life from them. Do you think—” she seemed honestly horrified, “Do you think I wiould hurt my people? No. I love my people, I would do anything for them!”
Her voice was low and trembled. “I saved you,” she whispered. “And this is how you repay me?”
Her eyes found Taran but she seemed like she was looking through him. She still spoke to the Dark Mirror Senshi.
“You listen to a man, a dangerous man, you find in my prison. You attack me? How could you?” she shrieked, and in a fit of frustration and rage, she slapped her hand through the air and towards what senshi she could see in front of her.
She could not tell friend from foe, not in this rage.
They were all her enemies, now.
As her hand slid through the air, the crystals on her fingertips flung like daggers towards the group. As soon as the crystal shards left her fingers, more were growing to replace them; she slashed through the air again, this time sending her tiny crystal shards not only to the Senshi she could see, but also into the ones hiding in what remained of Leto’s illusion.
She was relentless, slashing haphazardly. She wanted blood and she didn’t care whose.
Taran, on the floor, could do nothing to defend himself; it seemed like Altea was more concerned with the betrayal she had been faced with. The Dark Mirror Senshi were the enemies she had to worry about. Taran was trapped already, weakened by time and her crystals.
But her guests had magic, and her guests wanted to hurt her.
She had no choice.
Quote:
Altea is attacking everyone! You can choose to take damage from her crystal shards or not; they range in size from two inch dagger-like shards to small pellets, capable of doing stinging, slashing, or blunt damage! If struck, there does not appear to be any magical damage associated with the crystals; they simply cause physical damage. You may continue to attack her or try to find cover in any of the cells, though it seems as though it will be impossible to escape the room as she is blocking the only exit.
Whilst Sadalsuud had heard the discussions around her, a part of her had still not been able to believe that they'd actually do it...
That they'd actually attack Queen Altea. Not like this - not without provocation.
Perhaps some would have considered the strange crystallisation provocation enough, because it was certainly suspicious - but–
But...
The part of her that hadn't believed that they'd attack the Queen had also thought that they would at least hear her speak - because how could get answers if they wouldn't even let her speak.
Instead she had found herself had watching in growing consternation as someone sent moths to attack the Queen.
One attack had been followed quickly by others, although Sadalsuud hadn't been able to see much as a strange jungle had suddenly sprung up around them.
It had been short lived as Queen Altea screamed, the magic fading away and the strange jungle fading...
And her energy signature wasn't like anything that Sadalsuud had ever experienced and was strong enough to make her tremble.
The Queen was angry and a part of her couldn't actually blame her, because a lot of what Queen Altea was saying was true - but it didn't change the fact that this was scary.
Biting her lip Sadalsuud called on her own magic as Altea sent crystals towards them and yet more magic was cast by others around them.
"Clover's Luck!"
She didn't keep the clover that formed herself though, instead pressing it inSinope'shand–
And whilst Sadalsuud wasn't sure if her magic was capable of doing anything other than look pretty, if ever there was a time for it to prove otherwise then that time was now.
Clover's Luck
Sailor Sadalsuud calls on her magic which takes the form of a medium-sized glowing four-leaved clover. Sailor Sadalsuud has a few seconds to either give this clover to an ally or choose to keep it for herself and then the clover will glow and disappear.
Magical effect: Whilst the effects of the magic is not immediately apparent, the magic will boost the target’s luck for the duration of the attack. This allows for an attack (physical or magical) to hit better than expected (for a boost of 10%) or for their dodge to be improved (for a boost of 10%). The magic will do one or the other. It will not do both.
Duration: 15 seconds Usage: Twice, but not on the same person (1 used)

Sailor Hydrus
He shuffled his arm into his sleeve and rolled a shoulder at Kissling. "It is... Apparently possible. It does not hurt; probably why it happened..." he said quietly. Hydrus gave a sort of smile, at least to try to assure Kissling he was alright for the time being, and focused his attention on the half crystaline man, Taran.
At least his suspicions were correct in that regard.
"Speak of the devil..." he muttered quietly.
The Queen.
Hydrus regarded the woman with an impassive stare, fingers twitching in his sleeves. Heat bubbled in his chest and he breathed heavily out of his nose. It locked his jaw and his posture changed, esspecially as those around him broke out into combat.
Leto brought up a field of grass, a magical ribbon started to spin, Remarque shot strings at the queen, and and all hell broke loose.
The Queen shot back.
A crystal sliced through his cheek and he felt a sudden lack of weight in a section of his hair.
"You... b***h... SHALLOW SEA MONSTERS!" Hydrus shouted as a large swath of his hair fell limp at his side on the floor. Magic collected in his hand and he crouched into the grass, letting loose the small leviathan towards the b***h who cut his hair.
Shallow Sea Monsters
[ Hydrus summons a small leviathan (5 feet long) out of his palm that slithers across the ground and attaches to his opponent, usually at the ankles. It bites down and wraps around its target. The bite itself does no damage. In doing so, it induces a sense of being surrounded by moving water which can lead to vertigo and set of hydrophobia. The leviathans do not distinguish friend or foe, and can attach themselves to Hydrus if he's not paying attention. These leviathans are incorporeal and will fade on their own.] Lasts: 20 secs Uses: 3 times per battle

Thank you for keeping me in the loop and yes Kissling can hang with Hydrus
Elsa had pulled his gloves off as soon as Acubens advised readying an attack, and they lay on the floor at his feet, discarded so that if - when, really - the time came that he needed to use his magic, he would be able to.
The Queen arrived, and she was predictably furious, and Elsa found himself automatically moving between her and Chione.
"You know me," he said, giving her his best casual smile and shrug, the "I'm about to do something colossally stupid and I don't want you to worry about me" face, "couldn't back out of a fight if my life depended on it."
Too true. Way, way too true.
He flexed his fingers and got ready to leap at the queen, call for his Basic magic on his lips, but there were crystal daggers flying, and --
He moved directly in front of Chione and shoved her out of the way, and felt shards slicing his skin open, one driving directly into his ********," he gasped, staggering backwards. "********, Chione, are you hit?"

Asmodeus kept her mouth shut for as long as she could, carefully scanning and evaluating the area around her, and when Leto's camouflage went up, she took it as an opportunity to get into position, close enough to make sure she had a good shot at Altea, and then she held her breath. The grass felt real, and she couldn't be sure if that meant it was; she thought she'd nearly tripped on a few rocks while she was positioning, so it might've torn up the floor.
She held off, up until Altea's awful rage tore through a circle of the grass, and she didn't have to worry anymore.
One of the crystal shards sliced across her face, right across the bridge of her nose, but she barely noticed. She was already far too angry for it to make much of a difference.
"Suck on a fireball, you crazy b***h!" She shouted, bringing her hands into position. "Flames of Phlegethos!"" She drew her fingers up her arm like striking a match and let the magic fly, and a ring of flames erupted around Altea.
"Watch the fire!" She shouted, for the benefit of her Courtmates, and she hoped it was a redundant warning, but she wasn't exactly eager to be responsible for someone catching their own stupid a** alight.
Asmodeus's Basic Magic
Sailor Asmodeus speaks the name of her attack and extends one arm towards a target within six feet, touching the fingers of the other to the inside of her elbow. She sweeps her hand forward, and a burst of flames flies from her hand. It strikes the ground two feet from her target, and a circle of flames erupts around them with a three-foot radius. These flames are incredibly hot, and touching them will result in burns - it is even somewhat painful just to be within a foot of the flames on either side. Flammable material that comes in direct contact with these fires for longer than about five seconds can catch on fire, and these "secondary" fires do not go out when the magic ends. The magical flames last for twenty-five seconds. Asmodeus can use this attack twice per battle.
Things seemed to be going to hell really fast...and somehow it was sort of exciting and thrilling even? Though he suspected that was just the adrenalin speaking, and if not for that he'd be rather terrified. He was already nervous as hell and felt a sort of sickness in his stomach even as Avior grabbed him and pulled him off.
Allowing himself to be pulled off towards Crocus he watched as others attacked the Queen and she seemed to just...banish the attacks. "Her auras.....it's so dark...and she just banished their magic like it was nothing." He whispered in awe but also fright. That was a lot of power and standing against it was...it felt like standing up to a big unending monster or perhaps standing at the edge of a cliff and jumping - with no parachute or anything else. it felt sickening and scary and yet adrenalin still filled him and made him want to join in and act - attack. it was a group mentality and he knew it, he knew about that sort of thing, and yet he didn't fight the urge to join in.
"We might have been guests but we are sick and you know it! You haven't offered to help, you've hidden. A host doesn't do that to a guest." He spoke up, making sure he'd be heard over the fighting taking place. He needed to say it, to support his reason for what he was going to do next - or would have done next.
The Queen it seemed was ready to fire back and she did just that - she fired back. As he moved, just a few inches away from Avoir, in order to dodge one of the larger crystal shards it was a smaller one which sliced across his shoulder. Ripping across the sheer fabric and past the dark black fabric of his uniform. A thin line of blood formed but was, for now, ignored a fact which was likely due to the rush he was dealing with. he did feel the sting though.
"We need to keep Taran safe!" He called over to Avior. If the purple haired man was going to help him, if he could, he needed to be kept safe. he was vulnerable and likely to weak to protect himself even if he could from his fixed place on the floor. He likely had no magic available to him at the moment, thanks to the Queen.
He'd never wanted to use his magic, though he had done so, but right now he wanted to and he knew it needed to be done. Reaching up to his hair he plucked what looked like a hair from his own head. Watching as ti turned into a glowing green line of energy he sent it out towards the Queen, having moved close enough to hit her. "Gorgon's strike."
Quote:
Sailor Scout Attack: Gorgon's strike. Reaching up, with either his right or his left hand, and from his hair he will pluck a "hair" that glows green. The green glow will rush forward from the hair in his hand toward his target, someone within a six foot radius of Kiuchi. If the beam of green light does in fact hit the target, or someone who puts themself in the line of fire. They will then start to feel mildly nauseous and unwell, including possible blurring vision. Nothing too serious, of course. This will last for thirty seconds and can be used three times in battle. During this time being more active, or other outside things, may enhance the nauseous feeling.
